Kento's thoughts: his lover is not okay.

you look inconsolable, and my help is futile.

your blank expression tells me more than your words could ever do.

“i feel nothing.” you said, “i'm shattered to the point of being nullified.”

i listened, attentively, as if the solution could be found in your words, as if your soul breaking, empty voice could contain the key to solve every single one of your problems.

something, selfish and greedy of protagonism, was thrumming in the back of my head hoping that key would bring my name.

am i not good enough to make you happy?

but i knew better, i knew much better than that.

you've been troubled all your life, you never had anything even nearly related to happiness.

“i was just a kid.” you tell me.

i tried to take your suffering away from you, but just like a curse, it has gotten attached to you and it just wouldn't leave you.

and it made me feel so powerless, knowing that even with all my experience, i will never be able to exorcise the pain within you.

you, with the warmest smile, the coolest personality, the greatest taste, the many interesting hobbies, the incredible amount of fun facts.. and the biggest amount of anger i've ever seen.

it was all you had left.

“there's nothing anymore here, you feel it?”

you brought my hand on your chest, right where your heart was beating. it's warm, but cold.

you look fine: your face has no trace of sadness, or any other negative emotions. but there's a couple of wrinkles where they're not supposed to be.

your smile lines have become so evident, even when you're not smiling.

how much do you have in that body of yours that it's still kept undisclosed? what's the amount of sadness you bring within yourself since you were just 12?

you don't remember the last time you were able to cry.

i remember how it left an impression on me, when i asked you to be my lifetime lover, and not a tear left your eyes. i saw your expression change into a moved one and you were happy, undoubtedly so, but you never cried, not a single time.

“i'm so sorry” you keep repeating to me, as if it's your fault. “i wish i could cry, i wish i could show you the pain that i can't feel anymore”

“and i wish i could cure you of this illness, i wish i could snap my fingers and make you feel okay” i quickly replied, “you have nothing to apologise for”

you're everything i have left.

i told you about my best friend, about geto, about gojo, about me. i told you about my first job, and then i told you about the one i ran away from. you listened to me, i saw the worry and empathy in your eyes grow more and more with each word i spoke, like my thoughts were gold flowing your way, as if all those things were to be kept in a chest and guarded by a dragon.

god, im such a nerd.

but you love it. i told you about how much i loved to play with legos as a kid, i told you about my favourite character i played with on street fighter, the hours i spent organising my yu-gi-oh cards, and all the band posters in my room.

and you loved it. you told me that you were so glad you met me, someone with your same interests.

we listen to metal music together, and while you dance all around the room, i look at you.

you're so beautiful.

you're the most beautiful person in the world.

but that's so cliché! my mind tells me, but i ignore it: you're the most beautiful person in the world.

the love on your face when you give me a crown made with sticky notes; the tiktok videos you send me with those little drawn bunnies doing silly things, with the caption "it's so us"; the expression you make when you want to convince me to do my makeup; the "babe i think you'd love this song!”.

you love me, and i feel it.

i feel so loved, i feel so wanted. and i'm so proud of being yours, i'm so happy to say you're mine, that you're my lover, that the ring on your finger was mine to give you.

and i love you, i love you with every single ounce of my body, i love you how the leaves love the trees enough to sacrifice themselves so the tree can live. i love you, i love you so much.

but that is not enough to make you happy now.

it's not enough to make your heart be overflowing with all the emotions that a human has.

you let me read your diary once, that you kept since you were 15. it was horrifying.

a kid should never feel this way.

i asked you if i could write down some things you had written there, with the promise of never letting anyone see them. you said yes.

— i want to crack my ribcage open and rip myself apart.

— i knew my skin, that wrapped my frame, wasn't made to play this game, and then i saw them, torch in hand, he laid it out, what he had planned, and then i said, i'll take the grave, please don't send them on my way.

— the very existence of the self is the seeking of a pain that has never seen beginning nor end.

these were the most impressive to me. you had so much within yourself and i never knew, i never knew the heartbreak you've been carrying for so long.

i'm scared to touch you, i'm scared to break you.

you talk to me in the most normal tone ever, because you tell me that “even if i wanted to i can't feel bad, or sad, or anything other than angry. i only get angry.”

i feel something in my stomach that i can't describe.

my vision gets blurry, and my heart skips a bit.

fear?

do you still love me?

an irrational thought comes to my head as soon as you open up to me. if you feel nothing, does it mean you don't feel anything for me anymore?

before i can ever formulate any sentence, your hands cup my face, and you kiss my forehead.

“please don't cry my baby, i can't stand it when you're sad, it makes me feel so bad” you pouted.

i sniffled. your fingertips are cold, but i still melt with your touch, feeling immediately reassured.

“i'm sorry, i just.. i think i got so caught up in how you felt that i felt it myself.”

“then i'll take it that your tears are just the ones i wish i could cry.” you smile.

“yes, that could be an idea.” i smile black. i kiss your lips. i hold you close.

you snuggle a bit more on the couch, until we're practically glued together. your socks and your favourite blanket, covering the both of us, is making this so cozy. i take a deep breath, and i let it all out.

we're okay.

you're gonna be okay, because i'm gonna make it so. i wanna see you feel. i wanna see you cry all the tears you want. i wanna see you abandon that diary of yours and let it rot in the back of your wardrobe where you keep it hidden, with all those terrible things, i want you to forget about it because you'll be so happy you won't have anything bad to write in there anymore.

i wanna put everything back in your ribcage the way it's supposed to be.

“babe, can we go to the movies later? there's a movie I wanna watch” you ask me, about to fall asleep.

it's 2pm, we finished lunch just an hour ago.

“sure, love.” i kiss your forehead.

as long as i wish i could do all of those things right now, i know it takes time. i'm going to protect you, love. i'm gonna protect you like i could never protect my loved ones. i'm going to give all myself in order to keep you, my source of happiness, with me forever.

i love you. so much.

you’re not sick.

(reader is having a really hard time with homophobic parents and identity so robin listens cuz she’s a sweet girl :( <33 )

angst/comfort (cw // implied homophobia )

Robin hates seeing you cry. She hates watching those tears make their way down your soft cheeks, wishing she could make everything that’s making you hurt go away.

So , when she has to walk home from work after a day of working alone with Steve being “sick” and finally makes her way down a familiar road she’s shocked to see you there in all of your tear filled glory seated on the curb in nothing but your pjs; hello kitty pajama pants and a pink tank top , she stops and the worst comes to mind.

“Y/n?”

Are you okay? Has someone hurt you? I’ll kill them. she wants to say but forces the words away not wanting to come off overwhelming with you in this state.

“Robin? Is- is that you?”

The way your sweet voice breaks halfway through your sentence pulls at her heartstrings , trying to push the aching feeling in her chest away she refocuses on your tear stained face.

“yeah bunny it’s me , w-what’s happened? Are you hurt?”

“I.. no i just..”

Robin waits for you to make an attempt at speaking again before breaking the newfound silence.

“Can i come a bit closer?”

She watches you nod your head before taking a seat a few inches away from your shivering body the fall wind taking advantage of your bare arms, taking her jacket off and draping it over your shoulders to off some form of heat before she closes the last bit of space between the two of you, wrapping her arms around your shoulders and bringing you as close as she could with your position.

“Do- do you want to talk about it?”

Robins words come out as a whisper , though she’d tried to make herself seem a lot more calm than she felt.

“My p-parents , they found out about me ..or who I think I am? They’re so fucking mad Robs , I dunno what to do. They told me to leave that i could only come back when I’d been .. “cured” . I’m not sick. Is they’re something wrong with me? I thought .. I thought they’d be more understanding , that they’d still ..love me.”

You felt like you couldn’t breathe. That the whole world was sat on your chest , pulling and squeezing at your lungs and no matter how much air you’d taken in you’d continue to take fast intakes of air.

Robin realized how much of a hard time you were having and held her hand out , waiting patiently for you to gently lay yours into hers. Pulling your fingers to her chest she’d motioned for you to close your eyes before following suit and taking a deep breath , do so a few more times before opening her eyes and watching how much you’d visibly calmed down.

“I don’t want them to hate me robs..”

“They could never hate you ,y/n..it’s not possible. They don’t understand how much of a mistake they’re making, you’re amazing and i know that. You should know that too, you’re amazing bunny and you’re so loved by everyone , always so sweet. You don’t fucking need to be cured. If you’re sick , I’m dying.”

Robin meant every word that came out of her mouth. Your whole existence made you life 10x better. You’re what she looks forward to when she goes to work, always a sweetheart bringing her sweets and sometimes even lunch because you knew she forget to make her own.

“Do you want-“

You’d worked your body as close to hers as possible , not being able to contain your sobs from her comforting words , too busy thinking about how lucky you were as you bury your face into her neck to be embarrassed.

And so the two of you. Robin and her bunny. Together and alone on an empty street , sadness lifting from the latter and comfort taking place.

Favourite colour and why? Dark blue or green I’d say. Green because pretty much every shade is beautiful & it reminds me of wood walks, nature, and pretty eyes. Blue has always been my favourite, not really sure why - suppose my middle name sort-of links (Jay, like the bird) but also my Uni is down south so I’m lucky enough to see the sea quite a bit :)

Five comfort movies: Bunny & the Bull, Shaun of the Dead, Bill, The World’s End & Slaughterhouse Rulez

Favourite season and why? Gotta be Autumn. I like crunchy leaves and the colours. It’s the perfect temperature mostly without being freezing or boiling - I can wear my favourite clothes &, honestly, still love Spooky Season :)

Favourite book(s): Dracula by Bram Stoker, Lanny by Max Porter, Carmilla by J.Sheridan LeFanu (to name a few)

favourite aesthetic(s)and why? I believe it’s called ‘fairy grunge’ or the sort of grung-y/ whimsical vibes that cross over whimsigoth and ‘hippie’ - I just like the grounded/nonchalant aesthetic I suppose - suits my lifestyle the most :)

Favourite genre and why? Gotta be horror-comedy, I get a gore fix without the fear of media taking itself too seriously haha. Must admit it’s very hit and miss though - there’s always the fear of ‘shock value’ substituting a good script/ loosening production value with the facade of a ‘it’s supposed to be bad’. THAT BEING SAID there have been a lot of gems that’ve come from this genre.

Favourite clothes style: as above really, any green/brown/grey/black earthy tones. I enjoy cardigans and jumpers, flow-y skirts or baggy jeans - depends where the gender meter is sitting, I suppose. Either way lots of jewellery, crystals, badges, hair product and big boots.

Favourite music genres: suppose it’s ‘indie’ in its vaguest terms, but honestly I switch from the most explicit, rowdy punk to Glen Miller and Frank Sinatra, so

Favourite artists: Gorillaz, Dazey & the Scouts, Madness, The Cure, X-Ray Spex, Siouxsie and the Banshees, The Beatles, The Specials, Pavement (etc)

Hobbies: Writing, what we’ll loosely call drawing, baking, guitar, scrapbooking & photography

Care language you give: honesty it depends, people I’m close with physical touch - but mostly words of affirmation/ acts of service - I spend so long choosing gifts. Like, I might not know the protocol to comfort you but best believe if your sad I’ll write you a fancy letter in the post with trinkets and a wax stamp haha.

Care language you like to receive: Touch. 1000%. Suck at hugs but I’ll gladly walk into you until I’m adequately encapsulated.

Are you an introvert/extrovert/ambivert: introvert, the ‘take up space in the corner because the floor is suddenly the most fascinating thing in the world also I need my headphones now because your voices are punching my brain’ sort. (Potentially also known as neurodiverse).

Morning or night person? My brain’s on a permanent night shift - which isn’t too handy for 9 AM’s, but I can appreciate moonlit walks and herbal tea in bed <3

City, country or suburbs and why? I think suburbs, best of both worlds then.

Favourite time of day and why? Probably 7-8, just enjoy that time of evening :)

Do you have any religious beliefs(don’t have to answer if not comfortable): nah.

What does your ideal family look like to you? It’s me, my boyfriend and whoever else we may meet down the line. Also cats, lots of cats.

Dream future: I’ve finished uni & so has Tommy, I’m recovered and have all the tattoos, piercings, crystals I’ve wanted to get. We live down the south in an Italian-style country house on a hill away from the main village with all our partners & pets. It’s covered in ivy, fairy lights and colours and a huge porch that we can all sit on together with a campfire. We’ve got a garden too full of veg and flowers and herbs.

Dream place to visit: my mate James always fancied Iceland so that’s got me thinking I want to go too!

Favourite type of nature: great orange/brown crunchy woods with little streams & bridges.

Favourite habitat (eg jungle, desert, tundra etc): Forests!

How would you describe yourself in 4 words: Anxious, peaceable, affectionate & imaginative (not to, like, blow my own trumpet haha)

If you could be another thing on earth what would it be: the Trevi Fountain in Rome. I’d have people chucking money at me left, right, and centre!

Favourite type of weather: 15 degrees. Or if we’re being less specific the type of rain I can watch from the window & listen to.

If you could travel anywhere right now where would it be: Brighton. Haven’t been there in a while & I miss it!

Do you have any fears (serious or otherwise): jellyfish, dogs, the sea life centre (specifically the creepy fish in tanks at eye level), failure, abandonment, any form of flying thing be it tennis balls or wasps & colds.

Dream job: if all goes well screenwriting for TV/Film or directing - also teaching, but it would have to be A level or higher so I wouldn’t have to deal with kids who hate the subject. If that fails however I shall take up the position of ‘regional trinket’ anarchic grandpa with a van that looks like something straight out of tank girl.

Would you be a pirate/vampire/cowboy/astronaut/werewolf/wizard/witch/knight/cryptid and why? Guess I’d be a vampire so it’s slightly more socially acceptable to bite things.

TLOU Rewatch: Episode 2 (Joel And Ellie Involved Scenes Only)

This is earlier than I planned to post this, but I’ll just post when I feel like it.

- The symbolism of Ellie being bathed in light in her first scene of the episode when her name literally means light and she is humanity’s hope for a vaccine (and also will be the light in Joel’s post-apocalypse life) LOVE it.

- Joel’s hurt hand shaking :(

- Love Joel trying to stop Tess from getting closer to Ellie because she might get her infected (as far as he knows)

- Tess says “Then you must have heard he wants to shoot you” and then the camera pans to a somber, soft faced Joel. Convincing.

- Joel’s negative attitude about a cure being possible is just realism in my eyes btw, and yes, people do get annoyed with me for being negative lol

- Funniest bits – Ellie saying the fireflies got the sandwich from smugglers while Joel and Tess, two smugglers, are eating meager pieces of old beef jerky (she will live to regret this in episode 8 though when she ends up surviving on that jerky), her making fake infected noises and movements (she really isn’t afraid of Joel), and her asking for a gun (Tess: “No.” Joel: “Absolutely NOT.” Don’t mind me, I’m just crying from laughing at those 2 parents being parents to a kid they barely know.)

- It bugs me how much Joel uses his hurt hand in this episode. Like – ouch.

- The CGI for the city is soooo good.

- I keep thinking about how in this episode Joel is trailing quietly behind while Tess and Ellie talk (by quite a bit most of the time) and comparing it to how he is in episode 9 - he’s come a long way baby. (But it also pains me how chatty Ellie is in episode 2 compared to 9 – they’ve swapped).

- The random frog was cute

- I love how Joel almost immediately gets Ellie back for the QZ has books line with the bunny hop into the water Ellie thought would be deep. (Also, I know I’m not the only one who finds it cute when that gruff old man does that hop.)

- I am sad nothing happened this season with Ellie not being able to swim. It just ended up being a one-time reference to the game. I guess it might have been hard to film a scene where she nearly drowns/does drown, but still. :(

- Joel calling Ellie a weird kid and immediately moving to protect her when the skeleton startles her. <3

- I took Joel removing his hand from Ellie’s quickly as a reaction to his hand hurting, but the lingering look at his hand after was definitely something else. Being reminded that he protected her from the guard? That a part of him can’t help but care about her? The showrunners did say he started caring about her from the start even though he didn’t want to.

- I love how Tess and later Joel in episode 4 both complain about the stairs. I felt that. The stairs usually affect my calves more than my knees, but my knees hurt plenty often too. And I’m almost half their age.

- That little moment of Joel pulling Ellie out of the way by her backpack and Ellie sighing heavily. They are just competing for who annoys who more. LOL

- IDK Joel is just so cute awkwardly hunched over, trying to start a conversation with Ellie (Because it’s too awkward of a silence? Because he can’t help himself?). The heavy sigh when Ellie says “the circus”. He looks so handsome too in the golden light of this hotel scene. I love the cinematography of this episode. <3

- His quiet little snort (not sure how else to describe it) when Ellie says “it’s [FEDRA school’s] a really shitty one”. I love that little moment. It’s the first time we see Joel still has a sense of humor buried somewhere in there.

- I notice Joel never answers Ellie any time she mentions him killing non-infected humans. Touchy subject.

- Seeing the infected all in a group just rolling around on the ground is so weird. Eerie.

- Every time I rewatch these episodes I notice how much Joel fiddles with his hands whenever he has nothing in them. It’s often.

- The museum sequence is soooo good. It’s my favorite action bit in the show. It’s just so intense. That dread over any little noise they made and the clickers wandering around them. So good.

- Joel redirecting the clicker from Ellie to him, Joel handing the cloth to Ellie to wrap her new bite, Joel saying “I know it looks scary” when Ellie’s about to cross the plank - so dad.

- The look Tess gives Joel when he starts tending to her foot/ankle. <3 (I know he’s not doing it right, but if he’d have splinted her foot properly it probably wouldn’t fit in her boot anyway so I’m not sure what else could’ve been done.)

- Always love Joel glancing at his watch after Ellie says “you can’t deny that view”. The way she is so different from Sarah but still reminds him of her sometimes.

- The way Tess says that’s not her home. Detroit was her home. It’s gone. She can’t get anything like that back. Especially because she’s bit. It’s over for her. Even if Ellie eventually gets to the fireflies it’ll be too late for her and she won’t have seen it.

- I can’t believe there are people who said Joel was too emotionless in Tess’ goodbye scene. Hello? Did they look at his eyes? Did they not see his head shake when Tess tells him to take Ellie to Bill and Frank’s? The way he just stands there breathing heavier and twitching, trying to keep his emotions reigned in as Tess dumps the fuel and grenades onto the floor? The man’s barely keeping it together.

- I can tell the EXACT moment Joel shuts down so he is able to turn, grab Ellie, and leave Tess behind, and it breaks my heart every time.

- That last shot of Ellie just trying to keep it together is heartbreaking too.

Rainbow Week 2022

With Rainbow Week coming tomorrow, I felt the need to share the uh, “schedule.”

And boy, yes, they have been in that dessert for way too long LMAO like I don’t wanna miss everything so I’m not skipping any parts, but I’m definitely watching at x1.25 speed bc I’ve just realized this arc lasts until 130 and I’m not even on the 20s😭

Iñaki’s and Taz friendship definitely cured some of the sadness in my soul, but same I would to get more sneak peeks behind the work. I have watched some videos about the make-up and wig work, the staging and props, I saw some performance proposals for Zoro’s introduction and I love how despite changing many things, they never gave up on including the middle finger LOL I just find very interesting the process of discerning which ideas make it into the final product, I’m a nerd what can I say😔✌🏽

SANJI AND CHOPPER CARRIED THE CREW IN THIS ARC they were very impressive😌✨ but okay mini rant that you might find funny since you’re clearly far ahead LOL 1) the heck no one d*es HAHAHA LIKE everyone. somehow. miraculously. comes back alive and I’m glad for the good guys, but damn people it feels like only Arlong and people from the backstories d*ed 2) again, glad no one from the crew d*es (for now?😭��🏽) but boy does it hurt to see them getting thrashed :c </3

Title: First Meeting

Hello, Everyone. I really want this to be the start of a series. This is an inspiration ever since I started playing Genshin Impact. Yeah, I know I am far behind. Don’t worry, I did my research on the game before or during playing (which is a habit of mine ever since). I hope you enjoy the fanfict and crossover of the two.

Her timid nature had caught the attention of a another student. The male student is a grown-up with red eyes, wavy blue hair, and pale complexion. Her pale complexion also caught his eye. It was normal to be pale, but her paleness seemed unhealthy. He, with a knowledge and interest for medicine, knows that something was wrong with the newcomer.

She was a slave and orphan. The poor student was sent to train in the morning and to work as a slave in a restaurant. She kept covering her torn clothes. The expression etched on her face showed shame and hidden sadness.

Zandik, the young male student, worked on his experiments as he stared at the vial filled with a blue fluid. He studied the fluid closely and carefully. Senses open to observe any changes to the animals he bought. He didn’t mind the door being since he didn’t want to be bothered by presence of other students.

Naphali, the young female student, watched in curiosity as she entered the laboratory. She could see how the liquid glowed. She closed the door behind her as she entered. She approached the table he is staying and stared at him in fascination.

“Did you enjoy watching my experiment,” he inquired.

She gave a nod. She finally knew that Zandik is fascinated with experimentation. She found it fascinating to watch her fellow student dig for knowledge. The gold of a human mind is knowledge.

Zandik selfish nature was long gone as soon as he saw Naphali. He was concerned for her wounds and bruises. His concern turned the curiosity about her wounds on.

“What happened to your arm,” he asked.

Her eyes landed on the wound on her arm. It was left out on the open. The clothing she wore didn’t conceal the wound. She bit her lip in nervousness. She didn’t know if she could trust him.

“Wounds like this would take time to heal. It is the same when it comes to emotional and mental wounds. It takes time to speak about this matter,” Zandik sighed.

He was right. She was flabbergasted at his statement because he knew what she felt. Her trust towards him increased, but not that much. She was eager to know his name so she could show the trust he earned.

“What is your name,” she asked.

Zandik had to admit that he loved to hear her voice. She remained silent most of the time. He could tell that she is hurting since she kept a facade towards the people around.

“Zandik,” he briefly answered.

“I’m Naphali,” she introduced. “Do you go here often?”

He nodded. He had been around since he step foot in the academy. He had an undying interest of experimenting for humans to achieve maximum power like gods.

“What is that,” she implored, pointing at the fluid.

“It is a serum to be injected to the animals,” he responded, pointing at the bunnies.

What scared her is the emotionless tone in his voice. She quickly freed the bunnies from their cages. Her soft nature towards animals is showing now. She showed him her innocent face as she shivered under his stare.

He sighed, finding her innocence cute. He found it endearing. He could feel his heart exploding. His face is burning and he was tempted to fiddle with his fingers. He finally learned that Naphali loves pets like cats, dogs, bunnies and many more.

“Why do you have to do this,” she asked, teary eyed.

“This is for a medicine. This is an experiment for a cure,” he answered.

She calmed down. This is a good for the people and the students here. She held onto the bunnies who are looking around in curiosity. He decided to give her the bunnies so she could calm down more. He could buy or capture some animals in the wild.

“You can keep the bunnies,” he said, patting her shoulder.

She squealed in happiness. “Okay.”

He smiled as he turned his back on her. Her happiness made his body warm. It was like a sun that would brighten anyone’s day. The effects of that sun is affecting him now.
