Okay, so in honor of all the Hermits stirring things up on Twitter today, let's REALISTICALLY consider Season Ten. What do we know, what are our clues, actually???
(Speculating and overanalyzing are really fun so I'm just going to embrace my tendency to Listify Everything and spill my thoughts on Season Ten under the cut!)
First Evidence: The Words of the Hermits.
Nine Days ago Scar said in his Jellie tribute video that Season Ten was “Just around the corner”. Five days ago on the 18th, right after the Hermit meeting that probably finalized their start of the season plans, Cub posted his cryptic tweet whose incorrect capitalizations spelled out “SEASON TEN SOON”. I can't imagine either of those hermits using that phrasing if the season start was more than a month away.
What's more, Gem posted yesterday the 23 that “If hermitcraft s10 doesn’t start soon I’m gonna explode!!!” I can't imagine Gem being that impatient unless there was only a couple of weeks or maybe just one week left before filming.
Second Point to Consider: Hermit Conscientiousness.
The Hermits sre generally really kind to each other and have known when the Hermitcraft Vault Hunters challenge was going to end (Jan 31st, midnight) for months. Per Iskall, the videos of the Herald Vault will drop February 1rst and I can't imagine they'd want video competition between that content and the new season.
Clue Three: The Streaming Activities of the Hermits.
The sheer amount of time Joe has spent playing Vault Hunters lead me to believe they can't have started filming for Season 10 yet. Seriously, when Joe finally has a day without a bonus Vault Hunters stream I'm gonna get mighty suspicious. Joe has streamed more than three hours of Vault Hunters every single day for a week. There was Wednesday when he did his art stream, but I wouldn't expect that to have been a launch day because:
Fact Four: Editing turn around times are so grindy.
The traffic series always has a several day turn around for editing time (IE film Monday post Friday) and several Hermits still struggle to get them out on those days. Even if the hermits were going to ignore the Vault Hunters conflict and start filming season ten this week, tomorrow even, they'd just barely have enough time to squeeze those videos out before the Herald Vault videos. As I'm editing this post Impulse just said he's trying to finish his office reorg this week and have a tour out next week. That does not sound like 'filming this week and editing the new season opener' behavior.
If it goes as Iskall indicated on stream, the Vault Hunter hermits will film the Herald Vault and post as soon as possible on February 1st, meaning the earliest they could kick off season ten would be Friday the 2nd. Even if they film on then I can't imagine them dropping new season videos/having them edited any earlier than Monday the 5th. Furthermore:
Clue Five: A lot of Hermits are very protective of their weekends.
Pearl for example almost didn't join the Decked Out visitor day because it was a weekend. It may be that Monday the 5th would be the more likely earliest useable day for filming after Vault Hunters ended. With editing turn around, we'd guess the start date to be Friday at least.
In Conclusion:
My totally bullshit overanalyzed but still blind guess is that the Hermits will film season ten starting February 5th and will drop videos sometime between February 7th and 9th.
That being said, Cub's cypher today that may have just been trolling said season ten would be “sooner than we'd think” so they may surprise me yet.
Keep an eye out for days where no hermits stream or days where Joe does a brief “1 hour chill stream” to see when the Hermits might be suspiciously behind the scenes. I won't be mad if I'm wrong, overthinking is fun. Either way I hope you join me in hypong up the new season and the new Hermits joining the Hermit Fam. I can't wait!
(Note: this post originally reported the herald vault videos as dropping the 2nd which was an estimate from a stream, but Iskalls video today reported they'd drop the first and this post has been edited to reflect that ❤️)

Take it from a strudel cafe member who’s been around since the deviantart days: the site and species isn’t worth joining atm unless you’re incredibly motivated to make art/progress things on your own. Site events are repetitive, grindy and with lackluster rewards, there is only one really “active” admin and a bunch of community volunteers who do nothing to moderate in the discord and just get free MYO slots. Loppy refuses to consider hiring more help of the professional variety and it is killing the staff folks that are still around very slowly. The Patreon got tweaked a while back to be less unique in terms of site goodies you get and is absolutely not worth it for any tier outside of whatever gets you into their discord to peek at possible WIPs/previews of upcoming stuff.
If you’re not in the public species discord, the site looks incredibly dead and it sucks to see - the forums are inactive, there’s no general announcements and only monthly/“big” ones, and the site Q&A which users get directed to to answer questions has so many unanswered ones, they cherry pick what to answer if they do at all and it’s a big fall from grace tbh. Loppy, love them but they’re focused on making merch and things to sell in their store and personal patreon and while SC has always been a “passion project”, it’s only important if they need to make a quick buck and can spit out adopts or customs even after claiming time and time again they’re done making stuff for other people.
I think people are starting to realize there’s not really long left because at least on site, the trade/sale tab for designs on the masterlist and the flea market both have been really busy lately, seeing a lot of long-time users getting rid of designs and items and honestly? Godspeed, I wish things would go differently but I’ve seen how Loppy responds to any sort of critique or criticism and it’s not good, there’s a “suggestion box” that never gets answered or publicly addressed unless someone is being an ass to the mods/admins, so there’s no chance of discussion or change the way things are currently.
{please don’t publish if off anon, thanks!}

Limelight on These Legendary Adventurers! Retrospective
AKA the post where I yell about two of my favorite characters in KonoSuba and how much I loved this event!
SPOILER ALERT: Contains spoilers for the Dust spin-off.
Tumblr media
So, uh…yeah. Part of the reason I wasn’t on Tumblr for much of the first part of the year is because I was busy playing KonoSuba Fantastic Days like mad, because the characters featured in this month’s Legendary Fest were Dust and Rin!
I started out playing this game with very little knowledge of it—my brother watched the anime, but I didn’t aside from some clips—and thought it was pretty cool. Less grindy than Revue Starlight and Princess Connect, generous in terms of rewards and power creep isn’t nearly as bad as those two games. As such, I left it as a strictly F2P game—no money is poured into it whatsoever. When I did my first pulls, I kinda wanted Darkness because I liked her the best out of Kazuma’s party, as well as maybe Kazuma. The two initial URs I ended up getting, though? Initial Dust and Rin, which carried me through the first part of the game until I got better cards.
(And that ended up being a blessing in disguise since I read later on that both Kazuma and Darkness’ initial cards SUCKED).
And over time, as I started playing more, I really ended up liking both of their characters. Rin is the most levelheaded and chill adventurer thus far, and is in general a no-nonsense, but sweet girl. Dust, meanwhile, is a street punk who’s more perverted than Kazuma, gambles his money away and literally lives in jail, often depending on Rin to bail him out, but is a fairly competent adventurer when he puts his mind to it and, despite his chaotic gremlin energy, does have a good side (mostly seen in the light novels). These two are often seen bantering and bickering majority of the time they’re in the same room, but they make a good team. And while I like Kazuma’s party as well as other characters in the series (Amy, Melissa, Darkness, Megumin, Chris, Yunyun, Iris, and Mitsurugi to name a few), these two are probably my top tier characters. So I ended up trying to collect most of their cards, though I’ve mostly succeeded on collecting Dust. The dude loves me so much that he’s spooked several of my pulls, lol.
Later digging into the series not only led to me learning that there was a spinoff focused on Dust, but within that spin off, it turns out that there are some unresolved tensions between them?? The event references some of that spinoff, too?? And both units are pretty busted in game?? You know I had to go all in on this event. I usually don’t save my gems, but I spent months saving up for Dust and Rin (even though I lost 15K gems on Forbidden Adventurer Aqua) because I really wanted both of them. Sadly, I was unable to pull Rin, while I got INSANELY lucky with Dust, pulling him three times, with the last one being when he was already limit broken. 😡 Ah, well. Maybe when they release the gacha for the featured Wind element, I’ll be able to finally add Rin. In the meantime I will be happy with my boy Dust.
Tumblr media
LOOK AT HOW COOL HE IS
*ahem*
As for the event story, I quite enjoyed it (read: fangirled over it) because it gives some insight to their dynamic, and has a wholesome ending, too.
Rin and Dust are recruited by Lolisa to raid a dungeon that she wants to give to Lord Vanir, and the succubus promises that she’ll let them have whatever’s inside as a reward. What’s inside turns out to be some old clothes that for some reason fit them perfectly, lol, but they take them regardless, namely due to the fact that the dungeon collapses after they defeat the monsters inside. Not long after that, they return to town, where to Rin’s surprise, Dust is hailed as hero. This is mostly due to the effects of his costume. And while he did warn Rin and Lolisa to escape, he does take advantage of his newfound fame and exaggerate some of the story. Which pisses Rin off, but there seems to be a deeper reason as to why she’s not keen on Dust’s status as an adventurer improving—a reason that’s quickly picked up on by Lolisa. This comes to a head when they fight a wyvern outside of the town, and they start arguing. When a dragon appears, they attempt to escape, only for Rin and Lolisa to get hit by the dragon’s tail. Dust decides to go all out on fighting the dragon by himself…
…at least, that’s what Rin thought before she blacked out. Turns out that he retreated while carrying the two of them, which results in him failing the quest and losing his improving reputation. This doesn’t bother Rin, though—in fact, she’s rather pleased and invites him for drinks. And thus, the event ends.
Now, within the series proper, these two are constantly bickering, but they do care for each other. While he’s not above making crass remarks about her, Dust will go out of his way to help her and make her happy. As for Rin, the game kinda supports that Rin does have feelings for Dust, from debating about whether to give him chocolate, to this particular event where she outright says that she can support him with her new powers…and immediately takes it back, LOL XD. They definitely have that “old married couple” dynamic, which even Iris picked up on, haha.
The light novels featuring him (which also features Rin and the rest of his party), however, kinda gives insight into how Dust feels about Rin—he mentions that she strongly resembles the princess that Dust protected at one point, although he later separated her from the princess and started to see her as her own person, noting that he was captivated by her, and that he can be himself around her rather than the strict, uptight knight he was before. They have a lot of cute moments in that spinoff, although things don’t go anywhere between them in the end sadly.
Between Dust’s antics and Rin having to keep him in line, though, things are pretty ambiguous between them. Plus, I think Dust is pretty obtuse to the idea that someone would be in love with him—Lolisa straight up had to tell him that Rin thinks the world of him, and he looked kinda freaked out by it. We didn’t get to know what his real thoughts were on it, or get a proper conversation between them, but at least he’s aware now and that counts as something!
Tumblr media
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If there’s a follow-up where Dust acknowledges this I will go absolutely insane. MAKE IT HAPPEN SESISOFT
I know a few folks won’t really support this ship. And I get it. But personally, I think it can go either way! I just love that for all the crap they talk about each other, they have each other’s backs.
Alright, I think that’s enough yelling for now. Thanks for reading my TED Talk, lol XD

alright, quick duviri review/opinion from yours truly;
!!!!!obviously spoilers for the duviri paradox!!!!!
Positive Stuff
I genuinly enjoyed the story of it
-> granted it was mostly implied stuff I still understood all of it and what it means for us.
As a long time teshin stan who was really sad about his open ending in the new war I was so happy to see him. [and his rabbit ofc! <3]
also the option to have new players start either with this quest or the "traditional" beginning is very cool!
I am so in love with duviri's design! I bet I could hang out for hours there.
[slightly] Negative Stuff
I am not sure how many people are gonna stick around and play the missions.
at least for now there a ton of bugs in it [enemies stop spawning in making the mission fail; stuck in drifter after using last grasp; spiral ending after stage 3 (not intended) - basically all the bugs we've been getting since many expansion launches ago]
I have double resource booster on and even I feel like we barely get any resources. that sucks massive ass.
the whole orowyrm fight. we are basically given no instructions. no damage numbers, no visable weakpoints, no nothing.
as with the new war we see nothing that has happened to us reflected in the rest of the game. [I get it a little - its only happening to us, yeah. but a little something would be nice.]
its getting only grindier with every expansion. 5x regular orowyrm for one weapon. [if you can get a blueprint idk where - the game also fails to tell me that. usually a hint or something was left in the market on the respective weapon. not this time.]
so basically; I loved the story and I'm pretty sure most of the warframe community does it. but its getting way to grindy and I'm not sure if I want to do that with all bugs still in game. AGAIN: THE STORY IS AWESOME.

god yesterday i was so excited and motivated to play toontown and this update is pretty awesome, i love the new animations and the new cogs but most of it is basically ONLY a new coat of paint and theres nothing new to do, aside from beating up some of the new cogs to get them added to my cog schticker book. so i kinda lose motivation about it really, REALLY quickly.
i am already dismotivated and tired in general today, i got better sleep than last night and i dont know how i even functioned yesterday. so my lack of motivation and my shift of focus of Want To Play Other Game Despite Hyperfixation (minecraft and stardew valley on my 'wanna play at least a bit today' itches) is explained this way
but man. without friends i don't feel like checking most of i out - and a lot of my friends from my club already did so, without me, while i was asleep because of timezones.
Tumblr media
(if any of u read this its not your fault im pissed at myself for being the one [well, now we have 2] europeans in our club)
so i dunno. i still gotta digest this update more, but realizing it added basically no new gameplay dismotivates me greatly. it was needed especially with some quality of life things like better tasks for clubs, emoting in a cog suit, cleaner animations (and quicker animations, too).
but holy hell there's nothing *new* to do the novelty will die off very quickly. it's just an april toons wait for me again. good update in terms of quality, i'd say.
but honestly? overhyped. i may be wrong though. bu whatever, it's my opinion and i am feeling pessimistic today. this doesn't mean i don't like the update, i do like it and it excites me. but urgh. okay. check out new things and log off and its the same. but i get it. volounteer team. they're not gonna add any big things yet. got hopes up.
mmm i've just been negative with staff or other reasons so i suppose my naturally harsher criticism stems from that. but again i still have very big respect for the work they do and i myself would not be able to do these things. but as someone who has like 133 laff and all they have left to do is graham(had task for almost year, cant get friendgroup to first time with me), prestter (skipping), oclo and maxing clo and ceo as the grindy things (and some drops, like mistys drops. how did i get all dave drops before misty.) theres so little to do like a lot of my enjoyment comes from playing with friends. and timezones are a thing. if you have lower motivation good luck getting shit done here
Tumblr media
ugh still i cant overstate how dearly i love this game, im hyperfixated on it for a reason. and im not demanding theres more content NOW. it takes lots of time to develop. but as i keep privately yapping for Hours. staff needs better communication and pr and less of this arg shit. builds hype and then what we get is a new coat of paint
is it a good one? yes!!! does it give me new shit to do? not really. aside from wanting to draw the new cogs and new misty design.
ugh. am i being too negative? i may be. i dunno. feels odd to ramble about this knowing full well there's at least like 3 staff members who know me. maybe not on this account but, yknow.

Just gonna dump my thoughts about nightbringer even though im very late to the party
But first i would like to address something.
Why are the devs making an entire new game anyway?
Aside from trying to pull in cash from both games, they said that theres alot of new stuff they had planned to add to the og obey me but it would be too much of an update so they decided to just make an entire different game.
Tumblr media
Anyway for my actual thoughts:
Personally i think that we really shouldn't send too big of hate to the devs about the fact that the og game will not have new lessons.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I get it, you spent a long time to build your cards only for it to be useless in the end and the devs just confirmed that moving your cards will not be a feature, but like think about it, would you like to try and play nightbringer while having to keep up with the new lessons in the og game?? Thatd be more tiring than the back to back events tbh. And the story will eventually be countinued in nightbringer as said by the devs so we wont have to worry about being left on a cliffhanger.
And its alright to feel that way anyway, i just dont think we should be too harsh about it like how I saw some people comment.
I have high hopes for nightbringer actually, i hope they dont fuck up the execution yk? And i am really attached to the obey me characters to much.
Theres stuff that i would like to have in the game, like more demonic personalities, less romance and more lore based, for it to be 95% story and 5% events, more angsty, less grindy, the rythm game graph to not be too hard, more tsl/ruri chan lore, better writing, the graphics not look too bad, a good explanation for the weird plot holes in the game (why the fuck is there a video chat feature there seriously), NO REWRITES ON THE STORY IN THE FUTURE (really im serious) etc. And most of them are litterally unlikely or confirmed to not be the case so you can see im also mourning.
One big fear of mine is that theyll abandon the og game in the future. Sure it might be less taxing to us players to play both games buuut idk man it just doesn't sit right in my gut.
Anyway thats all i have for now, hope shit doesn't go out the window for nightbringer.

My Short Review of Honkai: Star Rail after ~2 Weeks
Tumblr media
Hi!! This is gonna be my first post here.
If you’re a gacha games observer, Genshin/HI3 player or general Mihoyo enjoyer you are most likely already know that they just released a new game, that is Honkai: Star Rail. I prereg this game and made my account on the first day, and this is my loose review about the game so far. Please note other gacha games I’m currently play daily are Fate/Grand Order and Genshin Impact. I also tried Arknights for some months so maybe there will be comparison to them.
Combat: 7.5/10
I don’t like turn-based system for the God’s sake (looking at you, FGO) but the way they have AUTO really escalated the rate for me. The turn-based here honestly more fun than I thought!
Art: 8/10
OK. As expected
Music: 8/10
What should I critic from Hoyo-Mix
Exploration: 7/10
Please keep in mind this isn’t an exploration-focused game like Genshin. It does, however has funni descriptions about items, reminds me of 2D exploration games (something like Undertale).
Story: 7/10
I’ll be honest I play this just as a ‘gacha addict’ outlet and don’t really pay attention to the story, but imo this one’s harder to digest than Genshin, maybe HI3 player can understand better though.
Characters: 7/10
Not very much attachment too, heheh;; Unlike Genshin where I was very attached to Venti after 3 seconds in the game. But the MC is a menace of society, real rate is THE RULES ARE MEANT TO BE BROKEN/10.
Also they have “chatrooms”!! This is very cool, because I think they can keep any character relevant with this.
P. S. They REALLY need to add more battle voicelines. You’ll go crazy listen to “the rules--” everytime you turn up the volume.
Worldbuilding: 7/10
I’m not much a fan of their worldbuilding concept tbh, I think “planet” as a chapter’s setting is too massive, so many aspects about it left unpolished (one nation/planet isn’t very believable to me). But maybe I just don’t understand well.
Grinding: 9/10
AUTO mode is gamechanger. You also can change a relic’s main stat once/patch. Honestly this is the one that can make me linger around longer in this game. GI and FGO both aren’t this forgiving in time spent on farming :’D
Also unlike Arknights, u don’t need three stars or something to start AUTO your way out.
Endgame: 9/10
NGL, this game has better endgame content than Genshin. A LOT. It has something called “Stimulation Universe”. I think it’s similar to Arknights’ Annihilation that reset every week and earn rewards based on points. So rejoice if you’re strategy games enjoyer and like to play around with character builds, this game is good for you.
Gacha: 5/10
Why even bother. Just go with your starter characters.
UI/UX: 7/10
Dear Mihoyo: SKIP and LOG button WHEN??!!
Overall enjoyment: 7.8/10
Yeah weird numbers, but this is my overall, subjective rate. This won’t be my main game but since they’re not as grindy as my other games I think I can keep up by just playing casually. The minimal amount of grind also helped in increasing enjoyment in the overall strategy gameplay.
Unlike when u play Arknights where you have to massively build so many characters with so limited items and pretty hard stages (even for farming for early player) or Genshin with their chaotic artifacts farming..or FGO with their horrendous amount of doing the same 3-turns farming manually. If I had to go through things like that again here, I’ll drop the game immediately.
End Note (if still want to read, or just skip, lol)
If Star Rail was published before Genshin I doubt I’ll ever try it. Back then the only gacha game that can keep me for so long was only FGO (Since 2017, dear God) because I was soooo invested with their story and characters despite I have a massive hatred with their gameplay (lol).
I often got HI3 ads on Youtube and I thought their visual is cool. But the game itself never interest me, because the playable characters are like 99% waifu so no, I prefer to have pretty balanced amount of dudes and chicks. Then in late 2020 Genshin was released, and I’m like... this is the one... the one I’ve been waiting for!!!!
I may write other long essays about why I was drawn to Genshin very much. And I was right, it was the only game that can pull me out from my FGO exclusivity, and made me realize that HI3 was not just a mere “waifu” game, and they give faith for me about HSR that was still in the beta back then.
Tl;dr Honkai: Star Rail is good. Don’t worry.

What are your opinions on the recent rise of Paper Mario-like games like Bug Fables? And have you played any of them?
I'd say it's a good thing in some ways, a bad thing in others. Good, in that it keeps that style of game alive and vindicates it as a great foundation. Bad, in that it might galvanize or incite...certain people... on the current Paper Mario team to go "oh, since those games exist, we don't need to do classic Paper Mario anymore!"
---
I've played two so far- the aforementioned Bug Fables and Outbound Ghost.
The former, Bug Fables, is very good, surprisingly sticking much closer to classic Paper Mario than even I would expect or try in a similar situation. The game has two great leads in Vivi and Leif, as well as the straightman lead Kabbu who does get a few cool moments later on. As a way to make up for only getting these three in the main party, the three learn a plethora of field moves and battle abilities. The game also offers a plethora of content and ways to play, especially when it comes to bonus bosses.
The only three issues I have are that the party's base ATK stays low for the adventure, with only some special items able to increase it, unlike how Paper Mario had base ATK increase with the Jump and Hammer upgrades. In addition, health doesn't seem to increase much per character. I get that it would get complicated to regulate things if HP increased by 5...but only 1 seems too low. Last, one thing I wish they didn't copy verbatim from Paper Mario 64 specifically was the lower than expected level cap. If there's a Bug Fables 2 and those three issues were fixed, though, it'd be great.
As for Outbound Ghost, I appreciate how the ghost idea was picked at all, as a pragmatic way to save development time. It's also impressive how someone as young as Conrad was able to do all this (with help, of course, but still). Shirley really stuck out to me as a fun, yet punky character. I liked how you get a bigger selection of battle ghosts to form differing parties a la Pokemon and Etrian Odyssey (moreso the latter), and can unlock more by fighting the EX boss ghosts at crypts. I like how, despite there only being one kind of action command, it is used in a lot of ways for different moves to make up the difference. As someone playing the PC version and who's been making 3D models, I was stunned in a good way how the game runs good with all that billowing grass.
On the other hand, battles seem kind of slow. While there is a way to adjust battle damage in options, the way the damage parameters are set at the intended x1 multipliers makes fights drag on. I also don't like how only the first battle ghost you get and one other much later gets their own scene, while the rest just...show up. There's also only story, non-battle characters following the leading character on the field, despite not battling. I get that the rules of the story means if the regular ghosts DID battle, yet still "left", you'd have new holes in the team composition, making them as battling teammates unreliable.
There's also not many moments of levity in the story. ...I mean, considering what causes the game's story to happen, it's understandable, and it's not dour all the time, but I feel there should have been more lighthearted moments. The story also drags, despite there only being 4...actually 3...chapters, and most of one of the chapters is going through past locations with some new areas. Part of this is the dialogue doesn't catch my attention for some reason- I kept getting my attention drawn away from the screen despite playing the game being the only thing I was doing. And the postgame...so grindy, with one other spoiler detail that puts it at odds with the main story.
I'm kind of saddened that I'm so hard on Outbound Ghost on review, since I wish for Conrad to keep trying, and understand this was his and his team's first rodeo in making a game of such scale. On the other hand, as long as those indies push themselves and don't rest on their laurels or take customers/players for granted, they're in a much better place.
Oh, and the music in both games is great!

Thess vs Minutiae
I repotted the strawberries, the mint, and my one rosemary plant, and reshufled a few things on the windowsills so I actually have some space now. So I’m going to do another quick D&D-related post while I decide whether food should come now or after an hour or so of video game.
It’s ... the little things. Or the not-so-little things. It’s the stuff one keeps track of or what one decides is pointless keeping track of. It’s the minutiae that probably isn’t minutiae to some people but is to me. Because ... look, there’s a lot to keep track of in terms of base class mechanics. Movement speed. Hit points. Spell slots. Ki points. Charges in magical items. Number of really important shit like health potions and diamonds of enough value for Revivify or Raise Dead or whatever. Really costly spell components, in general. That’s all important and should be kept track of. Totally agree there. Yep.
All that adding shit like encumberance, number of arrows / bullets, really cheap and common spell components does is make life complicated for everybody. Or ... okay, in my opinion, anyway. But then again, I run a RP-heavy campaign with eight other players and adding more shit to keep track of just sounds like a recipe for really slow grindy bullshit.
Now, I’ll see a lot of posts about how cheap it is to just ignore that stuff, and I’m like, “You do you, my friend, but do not tell me that this way of playing, which works very well for my party, is wrong. Wrong for you? Sure. If micromanagement of resources is your thing, I salute you. But I really am tired of people telling me that their way is the only way to play and mine is terribad.
So did I make sure that my party is all but drowning in Bags of Holding because I didn’t want to deal with encumberance rules? Yes. Did I make sure that most casters had a focus that they could channel their magic through to ignore all but the more costly material spell components? Also yes. Did I make sure that the one person who doesn’t have that sort of focus, and who incidentally uses ranged weapons with expendable ammunition, had Bags of Replenishing that gives her effectively unlimited ammo and cheap spell components as long as she leaves one bit of each in the respective bags? YES.
(Did I make an exception for magical ammunition like fire arrows? Also yes. There are limits.)
I have enough to deal with at the table without micromanaging people’s arrows and how much they’re carrying. Besides, several people at my virtual table have memory issues and don’t always remember to update things. That would leave it literally being me doing the micromanaging, and I’m not keeping track of how many arrows or crossbow bolts people use, or how much ash the ranger has left for Pass Without Trace. I do not think I am a bad DM for streamlining things so that all we’ve got is what matters. Or at least, what I think matters. Apparently number of arrows and amounts of spell components are really important to other people. And that’s fine. I just wish they’d stop yelling at me for not giving a shit.

Does anyone remember Survival 303? Good times, right? Well, safe to say, it's defunct now. But my love for the game resurfaced, and I was thinking of ways it could be improved.
It started with the saving system...or lack thereof. The good ol' excuse was that players would become OP if saving was an option. It made sense to the child brain, but when I thought about it years later, it was stupid.
Without any kind of saving, the game awards people who have a lot of free time, but it punishes people who have responsibilities. So you got jobless hacks who are OP, while everyone else who had chores at minimum who got to any late game if they were lucky (or fast with their grinding).
This problem became especially apparent with the new version, where a simple mill could take hours of gameplay just to create. A core building of the game that allowed you to make flour, which gave you access to better food such as bread and pies. I was lucky to have enough time to get a mill if I was lucky. (And even then, it was time to stop when I freshly made the mill)
And then there were the spawn islands. The best starter island was the one with the wheat, apples, and berries along with plenty of watr and trees. Only one such island existed, and if you were spawning there, you kinda had to hope that there weren't any settlers (and if there were, that they weren't aggressive, which they usually were).
Finally, there was the fact that the game was only as fun as the other people playing. An empty server is boring, but also so is a server where most players were aggressive. If you were alone, there would be no wars, no alliances. Nothing that would be engaging, since the civilization simulator aspect of it can't exist without multiple players.
I thought of solutions to these issues:
Saving - I would implement a save system for the inventory. It would be an opt-in system, meaning there would be no auto-saving, but even if my Survival 303 ends up being ridiculously grindy, at least there would be a way to save some form of progress. Think of it as a new game +, though. Only common materials would be saved. Stone, Wood, Armor, common buildings in the inventory menu. Tools, buildings that were left out of the menu, and rare/powerful materials will need to be re-acquired. So would other menu things not in the inventory menu, such as skills and factions, would not be saved. The New Game + system is meant to be a headstart with what you already had, not a full save.
Spawn Islands - The entire archipelago itself would function differently. The central island would be the spawn island. PVP would be deactivated, and it'd have enough materials to get players to the stone age. Food would be abundant, but also limited in what you can do with it. PVP is on when you leave the spawn island, with each island having different advantages and disadvantages.
Some would be easy to defend, but barren. While others would be rich in resources (including rare and powerful resources), but those islands would be difficult to set up base on or protect. The further way from spawn, the more treacherous the islands would be. It would be a risk vs reward kind of deal. The very edge of the map would have plenty of room for artificial islands, though.
Engagement - I would add lore and exploration. Some islands could have ruins to explore, hidden caves, and maybe some natural disasters could randomly uncover some interesting things. Plus, I imagine there would be an optional storyline, which could lead you to truly OP things. You need to leave? Sadly, you'd have to go through the storyline again if you want those things again. (Though if that turns out too annoying, I would let the awards save, but you can only go through the storyline once per save file. You'd have to reset and start a new game if you want to go through it again.) There could be a lot more done, like achievements and daily challenges. And if other players are too aggressive for your taste, there is a perfectly decent no-PVP zone for you on the spawn island, so you can enjoy the game without people killing you randomly. :P But there should be a way to not let most game-ruining circumstances ruin your time.
(Bonus) Recipes - In order to make finding recipes in-game easier, the recipes for buildings and foods would be found around the map. Think about how you can find food recipes in certain buildings around the map in both Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom. You can screenshot or write down the recipes you find. Spawn would have the basics you need, while other islands would have various recipes to find. Ranging from decorative, for fun (Spawn would have both of those, too), to powerful for defense and/or offense.
Most of the game would play the same as 303, including having the Classic Roblox glook. But unfortunately, I am an artist, not a programmer. Which means I'd either have to find a volunteer programmer (HA! LMAO!), or figure out how to implement those complex systems myself. Trust me, I tried to do harvesting and inventory today, and I'm sure that my effort would leave programmers horrified and in awe (in a bad way).
But...if anyone would want to do that, feel free to hit me up, I guess. I have zero intention of profiting off the game. I would be the one building the map, the items, the creatures, and also work on the writing side of worldbuilding and the storyline. Literally the only thing I can't do is the technical side, which is...the most important part in a game.
Survival 303 just holds a special place in my heart, and I would love to see this vision come to life. I'll most likely put a pin in this project until I'm back to focusing on the hobby side of my art, with priority only coming up if I do get lucky with a volunteer. After all, learning new skills such as how to code is part of what the hobby side is for!

So yeah question about the whole lobotomy corp thing. What is it about?? Like the only thing I know about it is that it’s inspired by SCP and it’s a grinding game (personally not my fav) but my friend is obsessed with it!! They make 20+ characters based off the game, roleplays with them, and shows me their lore (which I don’t understand at all). So I need some help understanding and you roleplay with them (friend corp) and they never text back so…
oops, sorry for the lack of response lol!
heres the game:
lobotomy corporation is about managing a facility. you're the manager, and your goal is to work with abnormalities in containment cells to collect energy every day. you have a set amount to hit each day, and to do so, you send little agents to do all the work. it's a lot of management and can get very hard as you a) get harder class abnos and b) get clashing abnos or multiple that need close management. it is grindy and will take you lots of tries to succeed. towards the end especially it gets nightmare hard lol
if you wanna know some more/read the games official description, you can find it on steam. there's also a wiki available to read!
lorewise, it's very heavy and dystopian as you get in, and the story absolutely hits you in the heart. its written very well - its a hopeless setting, but with hope and growth in the characters, and no character is left behind writing-wise.
the abnormalities all have their own stories as well, and you can extract clothing + weapons from them (EGO suit + weapon) to make your agents stronger in combat. lots of people will connect abnos to agents based on story and such, and the personality/backstory they gave their agents (theyre mostly blank slates here [just hair, mouth, eyes, ego gear], so all their lore and personality is left for you to write!)
now, friendcorp!
friend corp (@friendcorp on tumblr!) is an au/community project made to counter the originals hopeless setting. 55 people submitted one of their agents to work at a more relaxed facility where everyone can be friends, do teamwork, and not have to worry! we made a discord server, which gained rp channels, and then the rp looped right back to engaging in dark themes like the og lol. were all still having fun, but a lot of the activity has died down, and there hasnt been an official update on it for a while ;')

Pokéchronology, Volume I: Yellow
Day 8
This was a bit of a grindy one, for reasons I'll get into. Basically I've been working on padding my Pokédex which is something I'll have to do at some point anyway if I want to complete it. Not sure if it's even possible to complete the Pokédex in Pokémon Yellow without also having Red and Blue, but I'll try to get as close as I can.
Let's just get into it, shall we? Unless you're spoiler-averse, that is.
Safari Zoning
Something I wanted to do before challenging Koga was catch all available Pokémon in the Safari Zone. There aren't that many, and like I said before, I have to do this anyway so I might as well do it now.
Before that though, there are some items to collect throughout the Safari Zone. The most important of which is the HM for Surf, acquired by reaching the Secret House in the deepest part of the area. This is easy enough, but it requires taking a very long winding route. Also at the end of the Safari Zone are the Gold Teeth. Taking these to the Safari Warden back in Fuchsia City rewards you with the Strength HM.
Okay, now it's time to catch some mons. I start by going for Tangela. What I said in my last post was wrong: the trainer I mentioned doesn't give you a Tangela in exchange for a Parasect, it's the other way around. So unfortunately, I had to go and catch one. The way the Safari Zone works is that throwing rocks doubles a Pokémon's catch rate while they're "angry," up to an effective rate of 150. My go-to strategy was throwing enough rocks to max out the catch rate, then throwing balls. In Tangela's case, I needed two rocks. Once I caught one, I named them Moon Lord and moved on to the next.
While searching for Tangela, I also chose to catch a Nidorino so I wouldn't have to evolve a male Nidoran to complete that Pokédex entry. Called him Chucc. The next Pokémon I managed to catch was, surprisingly, a Chansey, which has one of the lowest catch rates of any Pokémon in the Safari Zone. I wasn't having luck getting in the three rocks needed to max out the catch rate before Chansey ran away, so I settled for two rocks and the one I caught became known as Chan-chan.
Next up, Tauros. This one gave me a lot of trouble. The vast majority of the time, throwing a rock just made them run away immediately. I finally got one to stick around, caught them, and named them Bullmeat. I was trying to make a reference here, but... that name sounds kinda dirty. Not that what I'm referencing is necessarily any better. Well, never mind.
Scyther was still more challenging to catch. I eventually double-checked my research and found that my catching strategy was actually flawed, and that the general best way to maximize catch chance per encounter is to just lobotomize yourself and singlemindedly throw balls until the 'mon runs away or you catch them. Once I did this I was able to catch Scyther with a little more time, and name them Kama.
Kangaskhan had previously eluded me for the same reason I was having trouble catching Scyther. She was still difficult for a while, but it was only a matter of time before I caught her and she was dubbed Cherie.
Just a couple left to get. Pinsir I was actually in the wrong area to get the best encounter rate for, but it didn't matter too much because I caught them after only a couple encounters of adopting the ball spam strategy. Thus I caught Knecht the Pinsir.
Finally, there's Poliwag. This one is found by fishing, and it only took one try to fish them up and catch them, so this one was easy. I was out of name ideas at this point, so Poliwag's nickname got entered as WOOOOOOOOO. Whatever, it makes sense, right? It's Poliwag.
That's all the Pokémon that can be found in the Safari Zone in Pokémon Yellow. Well, except for one. Dragonair can be caught here too, apparently, but you need the Super Rod to do so. I'll have to come back to the Safari Zone once I've got it.
Fuchsia Gym
With the Safari Zone done with for now, it's time to bring down Koga, starting as always with the gym trainers. I wasn't expecting many of them to have Psychic types; that proved to be pretty annoying, since Mycoboss isn't super strong and they don't know any Bug moves besides Leech Life. Of course, Mycoboss doesn't resist Psychic either so they're stuck tanking some very strong Special attacks like Psybeam and Psychic. Which crit way too often, by the way. It's kinda difficult to survive even with life-stealing moves when a single attack hits for 80% of your max HP. Maybe I should have abused Mycoboss' signature move to disable enemy Pokémon before attacking them.
Psychic types aside, Poison types are no problem for me. Only issue is, the gym trainers don't seem to have any. They've got Sandslash, the bane of Ominous' existence, for some reason. Not so much Poison types. So I guess Fuchsia Gym is the Poison gym in leader only, or something? Speaking of which...
Master Koga. He's got three Venonats that get progressively higher in level and a Venomoth. Being the fool that I am, I field Prinzessin, forgetting that these things know Psychic moves and Prinzessin is Poison type herself and therefore vulnerable. Again, I take a critical hit, but Prinzessin survives because of her huge HP pool. From there I'm able to outspeed the Venonat gang and decimate them all with Earthquake. The first goes down in one hit, no problem, but because of how high the others are in level, they take two Earthquakes. Luckily, Koga kept trying to use X Attacks on his Venonat, which basically gave me a free turn to attack without fear of retaliation and sweep the rest of them.
Venomoth is a bit of a different story. They outspeed Prinzessin and their level is a gnarly 50. I can't keep Prinzessin in at this point so I reluctantly bring out Miles to finish the job. But Koga is a clever bastard, so of course Venomoth knows Leech Life, which is super effective against Miles. Thankfully it has very low base power, so I'm able to race the Venomoth thanks to Miles' monstrous Special stat and outstrip the enemy Pokémon's ability to heal themselves.
I have to give Koga credit, I thought he would be easy prey, but he and his gym were a lot tougher than I expected. Maybe I shouldn't be so quick to underestimate the game. My Pokémon are starting to look very under-leveled. I might have to actually grind a bit to get everyone up to speed, which means I need to fight things that aren't strictly Poison, Normal, or Fighting type. Though even Miles and Prinzessin seem to be behind the curve in terms of what the game expects of me. I'm not sure if it means I'm really good at Pokémon that I can do so much while at a significant level disadvantage, or if I've been setting myself up for some big problems all this time.
It's settled then. Since I'm already doing all the trainer battles I run into, I just need to do more wild battles while I'm at it. I've noticed that even experienced Pokémon players grind a little bit at times, especially while on a Nuzlocke. That should allow my Pokémon to reach a more comfortable level with time.

ALCHEMIST CODE TIER LIST UPDATE
ALCHEMIST CODE TIER LIST PLUS
ALCHEMIST CODE TIER LIST FREE
Shoukaku’s Live2D dress, is amazing, and even has “cutscene” like moments. A Live2D costume will set you back about 15USD, but I find it worth it, the costumes in the game are slowly getting better and better, the newest one as of this article. The difference in costumes here is that every costume is buyable. There is also resource based summoning, and premium currency is used for the same few things here as well. Story is loosely based off of real life events, and ships are also voiced by renowned voice actors just like Girls Frontline. There is also team-building aspects, ships of the same factions may have skills that complement one another, and specific team compositions are used in higher difficulty sorties. Azur Lane is a bit more casual than Girls Frontline and gameplay is a bit different whereby it’s a “bullet hell” of sorts. If you’re more interested in tactical gameplay and costumes do not matter that much to you, I’ll choose Girls Frontline. However this is still a very good waifu collector and it also takes the cake for the hero collector I’ve spent the most money on. Events also have ranking maps where it’s a survival style while killing as many enemies as possible, but to attain a good ranking, you’ll have to commit a good 30 minutes to an hour to get enough points to get certain event limited gear. A very big factor for this is that gacha tokens are farmable, so if you’re insanely lucky you could possibly get Live2D outfits without spending unlike in Azur Lane. Which leads me to the downsides of this game, most costumes are locked behind a gacha, and Live2D costumes are few and far between, and are super rare thus pretty hard to get unless you save up enough tokens to spark it. Summoning is based off resources earned, and premium currency in the game are only used mainly for slot expansions, oath rings and costumes. Story is one of the best for gacha games in my opinion and event stories build into the universe well, but it might be a bit too dark for some tastes, many renowned Japanese voice actors are in the game as well. One of the 2 titans of waifu collectors, Girls Frontline has a tactical element to it, where specific teams are used to counter specific kind of units, teams having certain amount of food/ammo before they are out of commission and have to restock at supply bases.
ALCHEMIST CODE TIER LIST UPDATE
However, it still has a thriving community and you can bet Cygames will continue to improve and update this title. The action gameplay might feel a bit too “casual” for diehard ARPG fans and being unable to play on an emulator might turn some heads away as well. Downsides would be some people might not enjoy the chibi art style, and end-game might feel a bit too empty and grindy.
ALCHEMIST CODE TIER LIST FREE
It always has free summons, free gems and other materials, once you play a Cygames game, you’ll see the massive difference in generosity compared to other developers. Dragalia Lost is ran by Cygames, and everyone knows Cygames listens to player feedback and also are insanely generous. Story & Lore is pretty interesting as of the first anniversary, top tier music and voice acting makes you not want to mute this game.
ALCHEMIST CODE TIER LIST PLUS
If you're interested in the description I wrote for the game and why I gave that particular grading, just click on the game's icon and the article will automatically direct you to that specific paragraph!Īction based hero collector, simple one handed controls and portrait view is always a plus point. I'll be continuously updating this list as time goes on and I get to try new games, and I also left out some games that I've played before, but have not touched it in awhile so I cannot make any reasonable judgement, such as Unison League and Crash Fever. I will put a special marking for these games so it’s easier to differentiate the servers. I will also include games that I’ve played in other languages, such as Arknights, Final Gear, etc. Games can also show up on 2 different lists, such as Dragalia Lost appearing on Hero Collectors and Portrait lists. I will also give a short description of each game and why I graded it as so at the bottom of each list. And also aside from that, I took into account the games' longevity, content, F2P friendliness and also future. The general guidelines I had for this list were "What would my recommendations for someone who is interested in playing hero collector games? ". This is my personal opinion and does not reflect anyone else's opinions. So this tier list I’m doing will be a bit different! It’ll contain ONLY games I’ve played, some of it albeit not much, cause the early game impressions weren't that good.

Summary: Second Extinction is an intense 3 player co-op shooter, where your goal is to wipeout the mutated dinosaurs that have taken over the planet.
Its loud and frantic and lots of fun, and, well, there’s dinosaurs in it. It’s very much a Left 4 Dead stablemate, but it stands on its own thanks to its enemy variety and compelling atmosphere. The War Effort feels cool, and the shooting is pretty fun despite a lack of proper damage feedback. Second Extinction has a solid foundation for moving out of Early Access and onto Xbox.
Systemic reaction second extinction upgrade#
The progression system feels lacking, too, despite being able to upgrade weapons, which is likely to be built upon later. The variety of dinosaurs is cool, the atmosphere is on point, but the four characters are a little one-note, spitting out the same lines and quips both during and after drop-shipping down to the planet’s surface. Right now it’s a decent shooter, but it’s a little repetitive. The big concern with Second Extinction is how much extra content is added and how regularly. It’s a solid basis for sure, and a cool way to create a community. Succeed enough and they’ll move on to a different area. Fail missions in a certain area of the map, and dinosaur activity will increase for other players. There’s also the War Effort to consider: a global initiative that sees the dino population react to your actions. It can also be a little buggy, which is probably to be expected given the size of the maps. There’s little feedback from the guns, which is something that needs addressing sooner rather than later as it does occasionally distract from the fun of mowing through hordes of scaly, spiny beasts. Not that you can tell if you’re landing headshots half the time. The weapons can be upgraded, and you can take on Contracts during missions that give you something else to focus on, with straightforward but grindy objectives like killing dinos with certain weapons or landing headshots. While they don’t exactly synergise, there’s a decent variety, from submachine guns and shotguns to miniguns and grenade launchers. Each of the four selectable characters has their own abilities such as Rosy, who can create temporary electrical barriers to keep dinos at bay, and unique weapon loadouts. But that’s where your team mates come in. If anything, it can be a little much at times, when a horde is on you and you can barely move or breathe. Think of it like a horde in Left 4 Dead only more ferocious and toothy. They come at you thick and fast, hitting you relentlessly over and over. From acid spitters to giant Triceratops, stegosaurus, ankilosaurs that roll at you like armour-plated wrecking balls, and, of course, King Rex. The dinos emerge from spawn points you can destroy in massive numbers, and there’s a decent variety of beasties. These objectives are fairly straightforward in of themselves: find the downed plane, activate the radio signal etcetera, and they’d all be a walk in the park if not for the hordes of screaming raptors and such bearing down on you. Set in a post-apocalyptic world overrun by deadly giant monsters, it sees you dropping into some pretty large maps in groups of three to tackle set objectives. So when I came upon Second Extinction, a Left 4 Dead-alike co-op shooter that swaps zombies for mutated dinos, I got just a little bit excited.
Systemic reaction second extinction full#
At a certain point in the past, Dino Crisis and Turok were among my favourite games, and when Horizon Zero Dawn dropped a trailer full of robot dinosaurs I lost my mind. I have a list, a pretty short one, of things that get my immediate attention – and dinosaurs are fairly close to the top.

Okay guys, so I finally understand how Celestial Blessing works and I just wanna say, this is SO much better than how they did pop quizzes before! Detailed explanation under the cut, but basically...
- Instead of grinding for milestones in pop quizzes, we now have a gacha system!
- Every 500 event items will get you a single pull, and every 5,000 items is a 10 pull. Event items are obtained the same way as they've always been.
- You can only pull each reward in the gacha a set amount of times. The amount varies based on reward. Once you've pulled it the set amount of times, it's removed from the gacha and cannot be pulled anymore.
- Once you pull the reward with the pink exclamation bubble next to it, you have the option to move on to the next box.
- Moving on to the next box means you cannot go back to the previous box, even if you haven't finished it.
- There are 5 boxes in a set, and 2 sets for the HDD events. Each box and set has different rewards. You can view it for yourself by checking in game.
For previous pop quizzes, you would have to hit certain milestones to get the rewards you wanted. For example, let's say you would need 320,000 event items to get all the card pieces for an event UR you wanted. That was the only way to get that card. It required a lot of grinding, and was virtually impossible if you couldn't pull the cheat cards in nightmare. Obtaining items from pop quizzes was very difficult and grindy, and not very fun if you weren't lucky in the nightmare gacha.
However!
The NEW system for pop quiz rewards - known as Celestial Blessing - makes things a lot LESS grindy and items are now WAY more obtainable. It's a gacha! Take a look! [IDs in alt text]
Tumblr media
It's a gacha pull system, but it's a lot better than nightmare! You obtain event items the same way we always have - as rewards per battles. Cheat cards still function the same, so if you have cheat cards, you get more event items. You'll spend 500 event items for a single pull and 5,000 for a 10 pull.
Tumblr media
And you see how it says "the more rewards you claim, the less rewards there will be left inside the box"? That might be a bit confusing to understand at first, but let me try to break it down.
Tumblr media
In this screen, you can see there's a number in the bottom right by each reward. It says "Obtained: 0/X". The X represents how many times you can pull that reward. Once you've pulled it X amount of times, you can't pull it anymore, so it's removed from your odds of pulling it in the gacha. Then, all items that you haven't pulled X times yet are the only options left.
You see how in the bottom left of the screen, it says "Rewards Claimed: 0/250"? Once you pull all 250, you've finished the box, and you have to move on to the next one. Basically, all the items are guaranteed so long as you do 250 pulls total.
Tumblr media
But, you don't have to get all the items to move on. One of the items in the rewards list has a pink exclamation bubble next to it. Once you pull that item enough times, you can choose to move on to the next box. Or, you can choose to keep grinding in this box until you get every single item. The choice is yours.
Tumblr media
Once you move to the next box in a set, you can't go to back to the previous box, even if you haven't finished it. So, there's 5 boxes in each set, and two sets in the HDD events, set A for the first event, set B for the second. I believe any event rewards that you haven't used in set A will carry over to set B, but don't quote me on that.
Tumblr media
Again, all of this information is already available and can be accessed via the instructions in the above screenshot. And that's basically it!

Reading your tags on that one post and just wondering if you have good recs for games that are actually steamy 👀
all games listed below are 18+, like genuinely 18+ with really explicit/mature/sensitive content
completed (or mostly completed) games
boyfriend to death 1 & 2 + till death do us part | lots of gore/violence, noncon, kinda gross but i love it anyway lol. strade and lawrence have special places in my heart.
off the cuff | fun, entertaining, short, and i really liked it. the guy's pretty hot ngl. don't think there's explicit sex, but the mc gets off anyway lol.
the bell chimes for gold | grindy, but entertaining enough. 90s-esque art, and i kinda dig it. haven't finished it, but iirc the priest has a foot fetish and the necromancer can't get it up and has a piss kink lmao. pretty vanilla compared to the first two titles.
insexsity | fun lifesim, pretty art, promising start but the plot goes off the rails about halfway through (maybe the last third?) and idk what happened. i wish it stayed a sandbox bc i don't like being railroaded in lifesims, and it feels like a bad acid trip. most sex scenes are optional, i think, and only a few are required for the plot.
newlife | another lifesim, text-based, and entertaining once you start fiddling around. i like making custom scenes and npcs for more drama lol. sexual content is actually completely optional.
wips
degrees of lewdity | i have a love-hate relationship with this game lol. i like a lot of the npcs, but i dislike a lot of the mechanics, so i usually just play with cheats on and stop random encounters. eden's my preferred npc since it kinda turns into a nice domestic farm sim lol. whitney's okay too. i'm not really a fan of the pixel art, but it works out. updates fairly regularly (i think every couple of months?)
unaware of the world | i think this was an inexsity clone? still open sandbox, which i really like, and i hope it stays that way. the art's not bad, and it kinda reminds me of that waitress flash game from way back in the day. pretty regular updates so far, iirc.
girl life | idk how to start with this lol. it's an open sandbox lifesim, and because it's a community-run game based off of a russian game, there are lots of unfinished plots (rip training wheels boyfriend and asshole wannabe-pimp i think their writer left the team) and the writing is very inconsistent (i think some of it is still machine translated), and i don't really like the real porn media. play with cheats, and personally, i just mod my copy to tell and back to smooth out passages and add in things i want. updates every 4-6 months, i think.
about it | spinoff from the same game girl life came from, so it has a lot of the same problems and strengths. it's hard to cheat, unless you're familiar with the game's code, and i would say it's more cohesive and consistent than girl life, since the team working on it is pretty consistent. dunno about the schedule, but i think it updates every few months?
