"Satoru, I'm home!”
When you get no response, you find yourself gazing about your eerily empty home. You hum to yourself. Odd. Satoru usually greets you right at the door.
“Satoru?” You call out again, trying to ignore how your anxiety rises as you slowly enter your bedroom.
Red immediately floods your vision; it’s everywhere. It’s on the walls, it’s on the bedsheets, it’s on the floor—there’s practically no place left untouched by the liquid. You swallow harshly and make a point to not step into the liquid that seems a little too similar to blood for comfort, albeit the task is to no avail because it's everywhere.
“Sato-“
Your voice dies in your throat the minute you see him on the ground. Satoru is laying there lifeless, covered in blood. There's no rise or fall of his chest, only an empty, vacant stare in his glossed-over eyes. You freeze. For far longer than you should have.
This isn't real.
This can't be.
There's no way Satoru is laying here dead, in a puddle of his own blood. You inhale harshly, not even aware you were holding your breath in the first place, as you drop down to your knees and crawl the rest of your way toward him, oblivious to the fact that you're now coated in just as much blood as he is. The moment you're by his side, It all hits you at once. Holy shit, Satoru is laying here in a puddle of his fucking blood. You hesitantly shake him.
“Satoru?”
You wait a second to see if he’ll say anything or do anything—even a twitch of his fingers would suffice, but nothing.
"Satoru, please,” you say, desperation flooding your voice as you shake him harder.
When nothing happens again, you shake him once more, but this time you don't stop. You simply keep shaking him, hoping that if you shake him hard enough, he’ll do something to prove he’s still alive.
"Satoru, this isn't funny." Your breathing is labored as panic fully seeps into your veins. "Satoru, wake the fuck up!” You slap his face, only for his head to merely loll to the side.
And that was the last straw. Suddenly you're thrown into a sob so violent it racks your whole body, shaking as you can do nothing but rest your head on his chest and sob for him to wake up, to stop messing around because this isn't funny, to just please wake up, yet he doesn't. You don't notice how his chest is starting to contract; you're sobbing so hard that you think it's just you who’s making him move, when suddenly a loud choke of laughter rings in your ears. You sit up immediately, still ugly-crying as you look down at Satoru, who is currently finding something absolutely hilarious.
Oh, you’ve lost it.
You’ve actually lost it; here you are hallucinating that your dead boyfriend is laughing.
Satoru wipes imaginary tears from his eyes. “Oh my god,” he says between laughs, “you should’ve seen your face!”
You blink at him, tears still freely flowing, as you lean back down and place your head against his chest.
“Whatcha doing?”
“Shut the fuck up.”
Satoru goes stiff but does as he’s told, and when you can hear his heart beating rhythmically, thumping perfectly fine as all hearts should, you grow cold, like maybe you’re the one who was actually dead a few seconds ago. You sit back up.
“Gonna tell me what you were doing now or-“
His sentence is interrupted by you abruptly standing up and screeching in a fit of anger, or maybe more so, betrayal, “You fucking asshole!”
Satoru, clearly taken aback, scrambles to stand up along with you, holding his hands out in front of him placatingly. "Woah, woah, babe, calm down-"
“Calm down?” You snap, staring at him with an animosity he’s never seen from you before. "Don't tell me to calm down when I thought you were just fucking dead!”
He sheepishly glances down at the fake blood-covered floor. “It was just a prank..."
“Fuck you!” And you snap, thrown head first into another sobbing fit, wrapping your arms around yourself in a pitiful attempt to comfort yourself while you babble incoherently: "I don't—I can't."
Satoru’s heart breaks right inside his chest, and he doesn’t think he’s ever regretted anything more than his stupid idotic antics right now. He can't bear to see you like this; this might actually kill him. He can't take it. He can't take knowing that he’s the entire reason you're in this state in the first place. He takes a step closer, opening his arms up to hug you, and you flinch away from him the moment you notice.
"Don't touch me, Satoru.”
Satoru frowns, ignoring the tears stinging his eyes and the burning sensation of rejection that encompasses him whole. He thinks—no, he knows—that whatever he could say right now wouldn't help, but maybe giving you some space will, so he steps back and clears his throat. "I'm gonna go shower.”
You sniffle and turn away from him, brusquely waving him off. “Do whatever you want."
 ☆⋆。𖦹°‧★
Satoru walks out of the bathroom with one towel in hand, drying his hair, and finds you sitting on the edge of the bed. He can’t help but notice the new sheets laid out and how the room is squeaky clean, quickly realizing you were left with the unfortunate task of cleaning up the last remaining remnants of his prank as he showered. You finally notice him in the doorway, but you hardly even spare him a glance.
“Are you still mad at me?” he asks as he makes his way toward you, tossing the towel on the floor before taking a seat next to you.
“You’re an asshole.”
"I know, I'm sorry,” he mumbles as he subtly scoots in closer toward you, and when you don’t bother moving away, he draws you into his arms, your back to his chest as he places his head on your shoulder. "I just wanted to play a prank on you.”
You stay stiff, refusing the innate need to melt into him. “You’re horrible at pranks.”
He buries his face in the crook of your neck and mumbles, "I know that now.”
You hum curtly, ignoring the shivers down your spine—though your resolve is very quickly turning nonexistent, you’ve never been anything but putty in his hands.
Satoru places chaste kisses against your neck, murmuring, “How long are you gonna torture me for?”
“Till you've thought about your actions.”
He pulls away from you and twists your body around so that you’re face-to-face. “I have! I thought about them the whole time in the shower.” He leans in and nudges his nose with yours, whispering, "I'm sorry.”
You stare at him blankly for a moment before sighing, your entire body sagging in relief as you finally give in to your desires and close the distance between you two. Satoru, overjoyed with the fact you’re kissing him, can’t help but return the favor with vigor. Each kiss is followed by him mumbling, "I'm sorry," and it goes on for god knows how long—though you don’t really care, you just care that he is alive, that he is kissing you, that he is here, and it was just a very poor, poor prank that hopefully he’ll never do again—no, a prank you’ll make sure he never does again. You take back the initiative and kiss him deeply, taking his bottom lip between your teeth that has a whine escaping Satoru’s mouth before it transforms into a full-on wince of pain from you biting him.
He pulls away abruptly, his fingers darting up to cradle his bottom lip. “Ow! What the hell was that for?”
You stare up at him innocently, even going as far as tilting your head to the side like you’ve done nothing wrong at all—though your facade is quickly shattered when you lean back in and Satoru instinctively leans back, but you grab him by the back of his neck, forcing his head in place harshly, whispering through a menacing smile, “If you ever pull something like that again, Satoru Gojo, I will personally make sure that you die by my hands.”

pairing: k. bakugo x fem!reader summary: Your man's birthday is coming up! Time to set up the venue for the birthday boy! Uh oh... gotta keep it on the low, I think he might be on to you. content: fluff, established relationship, bakugo is nosy, little bit of swearing, mention of other characters (his friend group) (you can find the rest of the series here!) wc: 1k

"Shhhh!! Hurry up and bring the rest of the stuff out to the car." Kirishima and Kaminari can't seem to keep quiet while loading the rest of the supplies into the car for Katsuki's party. The two keep giggling and messing around.
"Sorry [name]! We'll be quieter!!" You highly doubt that because they said that the last two trips and if anything they've gotten louder. "Come on guys, we don't wanna give it away. You know how hard it is to actually surprise Katsuki." The boys know how much you've wanted to do this, so they quiet down and quickly take the rest of the party supplies to your car.
At this point it's almost like a challenge; to see if you can surprise him. His last two birthday parties you've tried to plan out were a major fail because Todoroki didn't understand the element of surprise and said, "Oh yeah, we're just getting everything ready for your party." and the other year he had threatened Mineta into telling him what you were plotting.
So, this year in order to keep it an actual secret, you had told very few people (kirishima, mina, sero, denki, and midoriya.) and sent Katsuki off to his parents to "enjoy his birthday with his family." His birthday isn't until a few more days but his parents were able to tire him out enough to keep him from asking questions or bothering you guys. he's currently in his room napping at 7pm.
"Alright, Sero, Can you read through the checklist once more to make sure we have everything?" Sero's quiet helpful, he'll be hanging up a lot of the decorations and what not. You had momo make a bunch of cool decorations yesterday while Katsuki was out with his parents and then sato baked a cake, that resides in the teacher's lounge thanks to Aizawa Sensei. You had also gotten the decorations that you and Mitsuki went out and bought a little while ago. She is such a big help and a huge part of why this whole plan is working.
Sero reads though the checklist and you give him a small "yeah" each time you see an item on the list.
"Okay I think that's everything let's go!"
In all honesty, Gym Gamma isn't that far away from the dorms, but carrying all of that stuff would have been a huge pain, which is why you're taking your car, with special permission from Aizawa of course.
When the six of your arrived at the gym you took charge of making sure the door was open for everyone to load everything in, and locking it behind you when everyone was inside.
Your teachers had already come up with some kind of white lie saying they were using the gym for some kind of new practice when in reality you're just setting up Katsuki's party.
So far everything's going according to plan, since Kirishima is probably the strongest one there he helps with setting up tables and moving them. While Denki sets up all the music equipment. (he, jiro, tokoyami and momo are going to play music)
Mina, being a natural leader is telling people where to put things, how high to hang up decorations and what not. She's really damn good at it too.
While you're in the trance your phone buzzes in your pocket and you hear the familiar ring tone of fireworks. When you and Katsuki started dating you set his ringtone to fireworks just to piss him off, and at first it did, but now he's just used to it.
"Hello?" In response you here a loud shuffling noise and a small grunt.
"Where the fuck are ya? Your location's off." If it were anyone else on the phone with him they probably would have thought Katsuki was being rude, but this is just how he is.
"Are you sure? I'm like 100% sure it's on." It's not. You know it's not. You aren't completely sure if he knows the gym is "off limits" because he crashed as soon as he got back. There's no way you're gonna risk it though because if he does know about the gym not being available he'll get suspicious of you being there.
"I'll check again, but I'm pretty sure it's off." His voice is groggy with sleep and he goes quiet while checking to see if you're location is on. While he's doing that you quickly mute your phone and yell out, "WHO'S NOT DOING ANYTHING RIGHT NOW?"
Midoriya is the first to respond, he runs right over to you ready to help.
"Listen, Izuku. I'm about to tell 'tsuki that i'm headed to my favorite book store on campus. I need you to take my phone and just kinda hang out there and if something goes wrong, like he tries to call just call one of the others so you can let me know, okay?" The green haired boy shakes his head furiously fast.
"I CAN DO IT!!" Even though you're slightly exhausted, Midoriya's energetic attitude does hype you up a bit.
You quickly unmute your phone, "Hey baby, I'm going down to the book store for a little while. I need to get this one book."
His bed creaks, indicating that he's just finally sat up in bed, "Alright, I'll meet ya there."
"I just need some time alone, please don't come by." You try your best to sound like you need space, because you know your boyfriend respects you and your space.
"Oh.. alright. If you want me to come get ya I will." Guilt slowly trickles through your stomach when you hear his voice drop into disappointment but you know it will all be worth it in the end.
"Love you Kats, I'll see you in a bit." The blond hums quietly in contentment.
"I love you too, be safe." With that he hangs up the phone.
Izuku quickly leaves with your phone to the book store and you + the others get back to work on decorating and making sure everything is organized.
"Okay guys! I think if we keep working at this pace we'll be done in thirty minutes or so." Everyone whoops in excitement.
It turns out you aren't the only one who wants to surprise Katsuki Bakugo.

#7, 10, 11, 13 and 15 for the SWR ask game!!
7. What is one character you feel isn't appreciated enough by the fandom?
Personally, I'd love to see more content around Sato. He has this whole backstory with Thrawn prior to the show, and clearly a long story around his brother/nephew, that I'd love to see explored more in fanworks. Plus the way his serious personality contrasts with the absolute ridiculousness that is the rest of the crew at times... comedy gold.
10. Aside from season 4 episode 10, what episode made you cry the most?
I don't know if this is cheating since it was kind of a part two to Jedi Night, but I'm not kidding when I say I sobbed the entire way through Dume. Like, I finished a box of kleenex.
11. What is one joke/moment from the show that always makes you laugh?
Ezra's awkward little wave that he does in In the Name of the Rebellion, first to the approaching Imperials and then to Hera when she comes to pick him up. Bonus points for how done Sabine is with it.
13. Chopper vs. Palpatine- who's making it out alive?
Okay, so here's how I see it going down. The rational answer is Palpatine. Good old Sheev blasts Chopper with a ton of Force lightning and he gets fried. But then. Then the crew picks him up and repairs him. And once he regains conciousness, he's out for revenge. And then Palpatine doesn't stand a chance.
15. What is your favorite Kanera moment?
There are so many good ones that it's almost impossible to choose, but I have to go with the hug at the end of The Mystery of Chopper Base. The love in every single gesture is unparalleled. Kanan gently wrapping his arms around Hera! Hera leaning against his chest and him resting his head on hers! That moment when Kanan looks up a little, and then both he and Hera hold each other tighter! Pinnacle of romance right there.
Thank you so much for the ask!!!

Oh! Well I can solve the mystery for you. My first mom and my second mom were married before my second mom came out as a transwoman! They are both my biological parents. They got divorced before she came out, not because she came out or anything. They were very much already divorced when my second mom came out. I call her "second mom" because she's younger than my first mom.
Also, yeah, I totally agree that the fandom at large only headcanoning the Murder characters as nd is. Really bad, actually! I do forgive it more for Danganronpa specifically since. Most of the cast are murderers, lol, but when in fandoms with a ton of morally upright characters in it, only the villains are headcanoned as nd is just. Oof. I would love to see more characters like Izuku Midoriya being headcanoned to have bipolar, because (imo) I can definitely See it for him. Another character I headcanon as bipolar from Danganronpa is actually Kaede Akamatsu! She's great. I didn't mention her though since I tend to see V3 as taking place in a different universe unless it's a AU, tbh. But you're definitely right that it's an issue in fandom spaces. Funnily enough, my therapist specifically told me to headcanon more characters and/or create ocs with bipolar, so that's what I've been doing. She said it was good to see myself in characters.
But yeah!!! Sato & Mikan murder4murder nd couple who messily makes out!!! Tbh I think a lot of people forget that Sato and Mikan were Friends!!! I want to see more content out there exploring their dynamic. They are both So Normal about love (read: they both get extremely attached to people who show them even An Ounce Of Kindness. relatable tbh)
A FOURTH second mom option!! We Love To See It. (& you absolutely should headcanon characters as bipolar!! The reason I was specifically like "this isn't directed at you" was because it's important & wonderful to see people looking at characters like themelves - I just wanted a General Disclaimer, since DR is so. Gestures To DR. I'd LOVE to hear more about bipolar Kaede, what a great concept!!)
One of my (many) (sorry DR3 fans) gripes with DR3's choice to make Chiaki a Real Girl TM and setting Sato into the Reserve Course instead of making Sato the 16th student in Chiaki's place is that there's no indication of the group friendship we see in Twilight Murder Syndrome in the anime. (Especially when the game specifically hinted at Sato's ultimate talent! She mentions archery club! For no reason!! Except to establish the "ultimate sportsperson as class' first blackened" parallel to Leon!!) And there's a lot of other reasons that happened, too, including the anime relegating what was an ensemble cast into a couple mains and a series of background characters, and the overarching story choices that restricted their timeline.
But it's always SUCH a bummer to me to watch "Ibuki, Mikan, Hiyoko, Mahiru, and Sato had a complex group dynamic, the breaking of which ultimately led to the ruination of all their lives and the lives of several others" into "Mahiru had a girlfriend and it made her sad for a few minutes, and then everyone moved on." Like. There wasn't ANY other way to establish Hajime's character arc?? I have to stop or I'm just going to work myself up about DR3. But it bums me out. And I LOVE seeing representations of the dynamics that could've been. Sato and Mikan is a top tier of them for SURE.

OMG SENTENCE STARTERS ARE OPEN! Please write lee todoroki (with lers up to you but I do like rare pairs XD) I miss school field trips so probably the scenario is in a school bus? ANYWAY THANKS FOR OPENING THIS STARTERS IT'S BEEN A LONG TIME
Heyo anon! Oo, me too! School trips were so much fun!
So, awhile back I got a request for Sato and Todoroki; unfortunately requests were closed at the time so I couldn't do it; this is my redemption for the rare pair! :3 I hope you like it!
“Hey, do you want some?” Sato’s soft voice asked the duel haired student beside him. 1-A was going- somewhere. To be honest, he kinda forgot already what the trip entailed. He did remember it was gonna be a long drive, so he came prepared with snacks for everyone.
He had already passed out the treats for the rest of his class, even making something coffee flavored for their teacher. All that was left was Todoroki.
When the other student didn’t respond, Sato leaned forward a bit to get a look at his face. Unfortunately the other’s hair was blocking his view, making it near impossible to see. “Shoto? Hey, can you hear me?” He reached out, gently poking the other’s side.
Immediately the half-and-half hero shot up with a snort, eyes flying open as he jerked into the bus wall. “Ha! Wha- who? Oh, Sato...what is it?” His mismatched eyes were heavy with sleep, mildly annoyed at being woken up. “Oh, uh, sorry. I didn’t know you were asleep. Um...oh, I made this last night, do you want some?” The sugar hero offered the wrapped slice of bundt cake, along with a small fork.
“Hm? Oh, cake…” Todoroki took the offering gently, giving the other a tired smile. “Thank you...Sato.” He yawned, starting to fall back asleep.
A gentle poke to his side made him startle awake. “Ah! S-Sato?”
“Sorry, it’s just...I worked really hard on that cake.” The other said casually, fingers still gently poking into Todoroki’s sides and ribs, earning soft giggles. “I’d hate for it to go to waste. Please, have a bite?”
“Ihihihihihiihiihi wihiihihiihihhill!’ The duel haired hero yelped, squishing into the bus wall as he tried to fight off Sato's hands. “Quihiihihihihihihiht ihihihihiihihihiihhit! Dohohoohohohohohn’t thiihihihihihiihickle mehehehehehehe!”
“I’m glad to hear it!” The other smiled, voice teasing. “Still, eating a cake half asleep is dangerous. Gotta make sure you’re wide awake, Todoroki!”

This anime doesn’t any real good relationships written well . Towa and Setsuna, I can’t look at their relationship because of how one sided their relationship. Towa cares but Setsuna doesn’t. She seemed to open up to Towa in season one . In season 2 she became harsh, cold with Towa . She didn’t care about her safety when she knew she cried
Sesshomaru as a father isn’t good at all . I still can’t believe he let his daughter tortured. There’re a lot of annoying things about him . But leaving Towa like that in her human form crying when there’re people torturing her is easily the worst thing he done . You can’t really make any logical excuses for him. She could die alone . That’s more than enough to make him one of the worst fathers when he could go to her . He even had time to go to other people
Sesshomaru and Rin is laughable. I have never seen a ship that’s so unromantic. He took the twins form her once they were born . Never said anything to Rin. Not a word . Left her alone before Zero attacking her when he could take her with him. 2 seasons he didn’t say a word to her even when she cries . He doesn’t even smile with her !! Shippers were in denial when the director said that . Instead of being angry and demand proper relationship, they gaslight themselves with fanarts and headcanon. All the romantic content they have is their non canon work to cope with their ship being so unromantic . They even lie to themselves saying look at his face so hurt , he’s suffering. While he has a bored face
Yeah. Towa and Setsuna's relationship was shown warming up until like S2-E7. As soon as Setsuna is separated for the snowy mountain's quest, I was surprised that she wasn't concerned about Towa for her human night. Like, yeah, Setsuna said, "Did Towa also feel this restless" on her first human night, but that was about it, lol.
On the other hand, although Towa's attachment can be overbearing, her concerns were legit. For example, Setsuna can't be brought back to life if she dies, and they play Towa's concern as a joke. And now, in the upcoming episode, they will try to pull quite the opposite of what was shown.
Sesshomaru isn't going to do anything. The creators will try to show him as some sort of cool father figure that keeps an eye from a distance. But little do they know his actions make him look like utter trash. The Yashahime Sesshomaru feels like an empty husk. I am sure they will pull it was all for the good and well-being of everyone. And Sesshomaru will fly off in the sky, again.
To be honest, I knew that Sesshomaru wasn't going to show up for Towa. It makes him look even more pathetic knowing that Rin had warned him before. And if you have seen the upcoming episode preview, he is nowhere near the twin's vicinity. Instead, he gives Moroha the black pearl by flicking it at her instead of handing it to her. It doesn't make him look cool; it makes him look like a douche.🙄
Sesshomaru and Rin is laughable. I have never seen a ship that’s so unromantic.
Yeah, it is laughable. I mean look at the supposed emotional scene when the Twins were born.
Tumblr media
They are not even sharing the screen together, lol. He barely answered to Kagome/Sango. Then he yeets again.
Tumblr media
As you mentioned anon, he can take Rin with him, but he doesn't. And at the same time, we also don't know why Rin was in a flower field making a wish to a 'grim comet.' 💀💀💀 Now Rin gets cursed, and Sesshomaru gets angry at Zero for his negligence.
Shippers won't get angry; they have waited for years for this ship to happen. I am sure they know how bad the execution is and how bad the pair is looking, but they won't complain outright. I mean, just look at Rin; once again, she is Sesshomaru's and Sesshomaru's kid's plot device. This child-adult Rin is thrown in a damsel in distress trope once again for the great lord Sesshomaru!!! How romantic 🙄🙄
All the romantic content they have is their non canon work to cope with their ship being so unromantic .
Even Hisako Sato is making content to cope, so ...... 💀💀💀💀
They even lie to themselves saying look at his face so hurt , he’s suffering. While he has a bored face
I know anon what you are talking about 😂😂. The very expressive Sesshomaru.

Dabi is one of the top soldiers of the League of Villains. He does the dirty work and feels the stain of crime on his hands. You're an Assistant Inspector at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency, resigned to records-keeping instead of doing actual fieldwork. What happens when these two become intertwined in the most prominent political event that changed the era of 1990's Tokyo Japan?
Warnings: Violence (a girl gets beat up in this chapter), gangs, eventual smut(not in this chapter tho)
Tokyo Metropolitan Police Agency, Kantō Region, Japan.
January 9th, 1990, Tuesday.
22:30 hrs.
"It's going to be a long night," she thought, while fixing her desk for the fifth time. There was a haphazard pile of file folders, an unboxed diskette pack, and coffee cup stains all over her table calendar. She quickly reorganises the file folders, placing them in chronological order, then according to crime. Then, she matches the diskettes, which contain additional data such as interrogation footage, with each pile. Lastly, she makes her way to the pantry to refill her mug with coffee, humming along to a tune that was receiving more airplay recently.
It was an uneventful night, to say the least. As usual, she worked overtime, working on organising the paperwork and records of each case-from instigation to case management. She loved it initially, but now that she's six months into this new assignment, she could feel herself wearing down with how emotionally, physically and mentally taxing everything is. It wasn't so much the quantity or frequency of the load, but the content itself.
Seeing death, rape, theft and disappearances on a daily basis was starting to take a toll on her mental health, and even if she learned how to compartmentalise, there was something about seeing all the details that made her sleep less and less these days. The photos of dead bodies or visages of crying relatives would disturb her to no end, and having to type out each case report even if it meant tagging it as a cold case, was something that never really sat well with her.
Her direct senior, the only female Inspector in the agency-the only one who was actually nice, unlike the rest of the police force who talk about her during lunch breaks and agency dinners-tell her that the feeling of being "uninvolved" and "useless" will soon pass. "Besides," she tells her during one of the rare nights that they're both doing overtime, "You've got potential."
She sighs, wary of the compliment. "I just... I wish I could be doing more."
"You'll have your fair share of fieldwork and interrogations, Y/N" she says, patting the younger girl's shoulder. "Just keep working well, and the Chief will soon see your potential."
That last line resonated with her the most. She knew that the Chief was a firm leader-he did routine inspections, called people in his office to ask for status reports and he'd set all sorts of deadlines. But he was also known for being experienced in reading people just with one look.
So the question was, what was his assessment of her?
Did the Chief view her just like how the rest of the agency did-an Assistant Inspector who was only fit for clerical work even if she had graduated at the top of her class? Did he even notice her presence in the building-or was she too conscious of all the judgemental stares thrown her way because she was the first female recruit in a long while?
That was it, she thought, not noticing that her cup had overflowed.
With a sharp curse, she flung her hand away from the scalding beverage, and moved to grab some tissues-her mind thoroughly forgetting the questions that had darted in her mind not a minute ago.
As she dabbled the tissue on her hands and shirt, the police hotline rang, disturbing the silence of the otherwise empty floor. Alarmed at the prospect of a crime or report coming in at this hour, she runs towards the desk of the patrol and public safety unit.
"SMPA, what is your concern?" she asks, voice surprisingly level. When there wasn't a response, she asks again, this time a notch louder.
"Kidnapping," the voice cuts through the radio silence, its texture a rich timbre with a raspy undertone. Caught off guard at the mention of a kidnapping, she scrambles for a notepad and a pen. "23:00, 6 Chome-10-1 Roppongi, Minato City, Tokyo 106-6108, Japan. Takahashi Yua." In hastily written script, she takes note of the details, not once interrupting the man on the line.
"Who is this? Where is your intel from?" she finally asks, after she hears mere breathing sounds. "Hello?"
The person on the line doesn't respond, instead opting to breathe heavily before the line dies.
"Wha-" she exhales, overwhelmed with the situation. It wasn't unheard of for random tips to come in the station, that much was true. But a tip at this time? And with that much detail? She was wary enough that there wasn't any crime traffic recently but this is proving to be the suspicious exception.
Shaking off her doubts, she dials the home number of Inspector Sato, the head of the patrol and public safety unit. She knows he'll definitely give her an earful for calling at such a late hour-and to his house no less, but if what the man said was true, and if her gut was right, someone was after the daughter of the Minister of National Defense.
At the sixth ring, he picks up and greets her with a litany of questions. "Who is this? Do you have any idea what time it is? Whoever you are, you better have a damn good reason for waking me up!" he rattles off, temper flaring.
"This is Miyasaki Y/N, sir." she says, surprised at how stable her voice was. "Assistant Inspec-"
"Ah, the personal assistant." his tongue clicks, and even if she didn't see, she knew he was shaking his head. "What is it? Here to ask help again in records-keeping?"
At that, she presses her mouth in a thin line, stopping herself from giving him a piece of her mind. She knew that they would always find fault in whatever she does but sometimes she wants to just put them in their place and prove herself.
But now wasn't the time to do that.
"No, sir." she starts, fisting her hand. "There's been an emergency call to the patrol and public service hotline. A tip was given about a kidnapping at apartment 6 Chome-10-1 in Roppongi -"
"Let me stop you right there." he expels a deep breath, clearly uninterested with her report. "You do know what that area is like, right? Or do you not even know where it is?"
"It's in Minato city. The residence listed houses many important political figures, it has national defence" she says, foregoing the other details and taking the opportunity to transition to the most important part. "Sir, you see, this could actually mean that-"
"This means that there is no kidnapping. I mean, if you're trying to pull a joke, it's a terrible one. Hell, there's hardly any crime in that area!" he gives a dry laugh. "it's an executive residential area, guarded and all that. As you said, National Defence is there and so are diplomats and expats. No one in their right mind would attempt a prank call, let alone a kidnapping."
"But the caller gave a name, possibly that of the victim. We should send a team, I have the address. I could lead the-" again, he cuts her off. At this point, a vein was threatening to pop at how unprofessional he was being, but she'd rather not break out into an argument with a direct senior-especially when he was clearly already annoyed at her.
"So this is why you really called, huh?" he chuckles. "Look, no one knows how you got in, or what strings you pulled to pass the Academy, but at the rate you're going, you'll never lead a team-much less my team." the certainty in his voice washed over her, causing her to remain silent at his blatant jibe. "So go back to whatever you're doing and don't even attempt to call me or anyone from the agency to waste their time with your tall tales." the other line clicks, ending their phone call.
Exasperated, she puts down the receiver with a little too much force than was necessary. "Fine, I'll do it myself." she mutters, putting on her coat, muffler and grabbing her car keys.
30 minutes. She'll have to pray that she makes it. After all, she doesn't have much time.
6 Chome-10-1 Roppongi, Minato City, Tokyo 106-6108, Japan.
The Takahashi Residence.
23:00 hrs.
The gate to the apartment building alone rendered her speechless. Pure brass balusters and a towering guardhouse greeted her, complete with intimidating security personnel who wasted no time in asking for her identification.
"Assistant Inspector Lee, from the SMPA. We received a tip about criminal activity taking place in the vicinity of this residence," she starts, not giving any specific details. "This won't take long." she adds, as a last ditch effort to convince them that she means business.
"Alright," one of the guards lets her through. As she rolled up her window, she catches a muffled dialogue between the two. "Isn't she a little too young to be an Inspector? And criminal activity? Talk about absurd."
Scoffing, she speeds up to the address the caller gave and in a few minutes, found herself outside the apartment building. But she was too late. There, standing by the of the main entrance, was the defence Minister himself, with blood on his hands and a shell-shocked expression.
"My daughter..." she hears him mutter. From just behind the door, she hears distant voices screaming for someone to call the police. "Dial the police! Or call the National Defense for all I care! Someone do something!" the voice got louder as she linked it with a face-Takahashi Riku, the Minister's wife. As if seeing the police lights flashing atop her car, The ministers knees gave out.
She makes haste to catch him before he falls, and as she does, she gets her shirt stained with blood, and scrapes her elbow with the force of his weight. Not minding the sting of the wind blowing by her scraped skin, she pulls out her walkie-talkie, and radios the police patrolling Roppongi that night.
"This is Assistant Inspector Miyasaki Y/N, does anyone copy?" she starts, practically shouting. For some reason, she felt an adrenaline rush at the development of events. "Repeat, this is Assistant Inspector Miyasaki, does anyone copy?"
After a few beats, a voice breaks through the white noise. "This is Inspector Takami, copy. What's your 10-13?"
"I've got a two zero seven." she says, forgetting that she hadn't even scouted the area for verification that a kidnapping actually took place. "6 Chome-10-1 Roppongi, Minato City. Send a medic for shock treatment." she rattles off, surprised at herself for actually being able to focus and act given the situation.
Then again, this was her job. Her first fieldwork-albeit unwarranted and unapproved.
"Copy that, 10-4. I'll run code. ETA twenty minutes." he affirms his direct response before ending the dispatch call.
6 Chome-10-1 Roppongi, Minato City, Tokyo 106-6108, Japan.
The Takahashi Residence.
23:20 hrs.
After twenty minutes, two police cars pull up the driveway. One belonged to Inspector Takami, the other was the patrol for back-up. He closes the gap between them in five, quick strides, hands in his coat's pockets.
"What happened?" he asks, ready for a briefing.
"There's nothing definitive yet..." she trails off, mentally berating herself for not even scouting the interior to study the scene. "But I've spoken to the family."
"You mean you've spoken to the Minister of National Defense." he supplies, his breath fogging up in front of him. "What did he say?"
"The family heard the door slam shut, and when he went to check his daughter was gone," hesitant, she clears her throat as a stalling method. "He found her in the marking lot, the girl was bruised and bloodied, unconscious. Looks like she was forced to inhale somthing, and her hands were tied."
"Attempted kidnapping?" he asks, stealing a glance at the apartment buildings façade.
"High chance for it." she answers, clearing her throat again. "Listen, Inspector, I received a tip in the agency around an hour ago-saying something about a kidnapping taking place at this time, at this exact address."
He raises his eyebrows, evidently taken aback at this new piece of information. "And?" he asks, expectant.
"And I think this is a set-up." she declares, sure of something for the first time that night. "Whoever is behind this, wanted us to come, thinking it was a kidnapping when it was an assault and break-and-entry."
"What are you getting at, Miyasaki?"
"There's a reason why Miss. Takahashi was assaulted and not kidnapped. They're telling us something." she says, handing out her notepad which contained the details of the emergency call a while back.
"What do you think this could possibly be then?"
"I don't know... yet." fuelled with conviction, she fists her hands at her sides, no longer feeling that sensation of helplessness or uselessness back in the agency when she was working on records-keeping. "But I'll find out."
9-chome, Kitakarasuyama, Setagaya-ku, Tokyo.
Assistant Inspector Miyasaki Y/N's Residence.
02:00 hrs.
Finally back at her apartment after filing the case and sending off the Minister's family with words of certainty about exhausting their whole force on the job, she slumps on the sofa, feeling her body become dead weight.
"God..." she sighs, fatigued. "That was a long night."

◥█̆̈◤ Seven of Cups - how does your character view dreams? [For character of your choice! Or the roster!]
Tumblr media
In his opinion, dreams are dreams and nothing more. Your brain is sorting out memories and feelings and that's it. His tend to be vivid and pretty detailed, at least when he remembers them, and usually focused on what's going on in his life at the moment. Wolfe never had a lot of nightmares and sleeps well overall.
Tumblr media
A'idan is mildly self aware that he's dreaming in general, and though it had happened a few times that he managed to influence the content of his dreams, he's usually happy to just let them change on their own. Save from when he's having nightmares but he's usually too anxious in them to change the scenery or anything.
Beyond that, he'd love it if his dreams were prophetic because there's always a lot of adventures in them but he's pretty sure it isn't true.
Tumblr media
She doesn't think much of it but Astrid has noticed that they changed since she's been back from the Isle of Vale. They're more cryptic, less detailed than they used to be, and she feels like she's been dreaming more often than she used to. Her memories from what happened in what became Eureka aren't back and might never be but considering what Krile told her about it, she's not looking forward to remembering anything to be honest.
Tumblr media
She doesn't dream or so she would say. The fact remains that she very rarely remembers them and even more rarely has nightmares. Hanae goes to bed, sleeps and wakes up and that's usually it.
Can dreams be more to other people? Possibly. She doesn't really believe in the mystic aspects of dreams but magic and the Echo exist so it can't be totally ruled out. That being said, any prophetic dream would just be the individual having special abilities in her eyes, not the work of gods.
Tumblr media
Dreams are just the mind being busy when you’re asleep, either sorting out the day’s event, or the past, or exploring your thoughts about the future, but they very rarely mean anything and he would scoff at the idea of dreams having a significance outside of very rare events. The only ones of his he truly remembers are nightmares though, and those are usually born from years of trauma and internalized pain from when he was still in Sui-no-Sato.
Tumblr media
He’s extremely skeptic of anyone pretending to be able to interpret dreams without extensive discussion with you first, especially if the person doesn’t share your cultural background. In his experience, those who do that have a tendency to rely on mainstream symbolism that doesn’t always hold true to individuals, and then cold read you to adjust.
He’d tell you that most dreams aren’t truly significant, but patterns could be worth deciphering if those dreams leave you uncomfortable. Skaar does believe that dreams can be prophetic, however, albeit it’s rare.
Tumblr media
He dreams of lot of things he shouldn’t know, and certainly shouldn’t know in so many details. His nights aren’t peaceful, he rarely gets to sleep deeply either and though they aren’t exactly nightmares, his dreams are never pleasant. What does he think about them? Nothing much because he knows where they come from and there’s nothing he can do to help it. And for other people’s, he simply doesn’t care enough to truly have an opinion on the subject.
Tumblr media
I answered here for her.
Thanks for the ask, Eligos!
