i’m so glad u liked my farmer!abby request :p but u got me thinking..if abby planted sunflowers, yea they’d be really tall, but she’d def still be taller. like, all these flowers are towering over u and ur all like woahhhh these are frickin huge and she’s like …oh u tiny little adorable thing <33

ok so, on average, sunflowers are like 5-6ft, the really tall ones can get up to 14ft, but generally they're around Abby's height!! also for this one, I'm imagining that reader is like 5'6 or below just so that the height diff b/w you and the flowers and you and abby are large enough to be noticeable. if you are taller than that baby I'm sorry </3

the sunflowers are your babies, man. abby plowed the field and helped you plant them, but you nurtured them to this point, and you're so proud of them!! rightfully so!! you're so excited to finally show abby the flowers, insisting that she leave the plot alone so you can surprise her :)

"Hold up, darlin', slow down!" Abby yells, speed-walking after you as you excitedly walk towards your flowers. She finally catches up to you when you're standing proudly in front of your lil plot, arms spread out and gesturing at the sunflowers.

"I did it! Look at 'em!"

Abby's giggling at your enthusiasm, trying not to coo at how excited you are. She wraps one thick arm around your waist, placing a kiss on the top of your head.

"You did, darlin'. They're gorgeous, just like you," She whispers into your ear, intentionally flustering you as you giggle and pull away, holding onto her hand as you walk into the field of flowers.

She follows, lovestruck and giddy with how much she loves seeing you all happy and proud. She looks around at your flowers, noting just how well taken care of they are. When she looks back at you, she almost laughs when she notices how short you are compared to your pride and joy.

You're reaching up to brush some rogue dirt off a petal, and you look so nurturing and sweet with something that's so much taller than you, Abby can't help but giggle.

When you look at her in confusion, she just goes, "You're so short baby, the flowers are taller that ya'."

"I- Abigail Anderson do not bully me >:("

"Keep calling me Abigail and maybe I'll listen, shortcake," She hums, walking up to you and gripping at your thick, soft waist. You look up at her, and she looks so dazzlingly gorgeous in the dying sunlight, haloed in gold and sunflowers, looking ever the warm girl you fell in love with. In that moment, you really can't bring yourself to be upset with her, instead opting to hold onto her biceps and smile at her.

"Mmm, ya gonna give me a kiss or what, Abigail?" Abby hums, giggling nervously. She always loves when you call her by her full name, makes her feel all sweet and loved on.

"Well since you asked so nicely," And she leans down, pulling you into her as she presses a needy to kiss your lips, a reward for your hardworking <3

Okay y'all yesterday I watched the Much Ado About Nothing with David Tennant and Catherine Tate for the first time. Which means it is time for...

Thoughts

Okay. Cool. Great. Um.

Most of my thoughts currently are along the lines of THEYRE SO CUTE FUCK I WANT TO DATE SOMEBODY IM FRIENDS WITH ALSO SO BAD AND I LIVE THEM THEYRE SO ADORABLE AND CUTE

anyway, the other thoughts are about how David Tennant and Catherine Tate are frickin amazing actors omg. Just. Omg.

And like the whole they're both all silly and stuff, but then they have the scene in the church and Benedick is all like military mode and stuff and it's frickin amazing, having a character whose all silly and stuff but also has that side where you can 100% see that like 'that is a man who has fought in a war' and all.

There are so many like amazing line deliveries too, like lines that just the specific way they themselves said them made them funny, cuz Much Ado About Nothing is supposed to be a little bit unhinged (like lots of Shakespeare stuff) and primarily a comedy. And lots of adaptations don't quite get that I feel like, cuz I've seen other ones that don't quite hit the mark with a lot of lines. And I'm bad at thinking of specifics and all, but I feel like they definitely (as cliche as it sounds) brought out the spirit of Shakespeare and the play really really well.

Also, like, how cute is it that the both of them hear that the other is in love with them and are immediately like 'well I don't want to hurt them, so obviously I am just going to love them back aggressively' and like the scene where Benedick is covered in paint and just fuckin grinning at Beatrice while she talks is amazing and adorable.

Moment of appreciation for freshly cleaned and shaved David Tennant in the scene after that.

Anyway, the entire play was hilarious and all the actors were amazing. And the entire time I was thinking like, I feel like a large marker of Shakespeare's works is all the characters not communicating just for the sake of being dramatic bitches, which I support honestly go for it, but also it is incredibly funny that frickin Leonato found out about Claudio being deceived and instead of going 'okay well here's the thing we actually just faked Hero's death to avoid social scandal, you can marry her tomorrow' instead decided to put that off for a dramatic revelation.

As a last note I can guarantee that I am going to end up modeling any acting I do on David Tennant and Catherine Tate (or trying to anyway, my personality is very different so I might not pull it off well but there are some things I can incorporate) because I have an obsession.

Plant Portraits

(pst- psssssst!- Hey, hey you. Yeah, you! Want to see something cool? look at this post by @hellishgayliath. It's about the characters shown here! They worked on it for a week straight, so check it out!) . . .

Hi, yes, hi, hello. Yeaaaaaah- steering away from the angst me & Helli brewed while I recover from crying. This was inspired exactly a month ago from this ask I made to Helli ask bout their oc's fav plants. I wanted to try out a new rendering style & thought this be a good opportunity + plant practice

Pico; He likes cinnamon plants/trees & likes to knaw on cinnamon sticks. So I did cinnamon plants! Specifically Cinnamomum cassia, or known as Chinese cassia, that is the most commonly sold cinnamon in North America (yes you are getting plant facts this took longer to research than to draw mainly because I like learning but that's besides the point and I wanna share knowledge) I really like how the leaves came out! Twas very fun. His plants are well maintained, healthy, & green (maybe too green lol) which shows his craft in gardening & care. Luci doesn't have teeth, so she can't really 'knaw' on things, so she didn't like trying Pico's snacks when she stole one. She was coughing on cinnamon for the next hour after. Pico laughed at her, obviously Ingenuity: the quality of being clever, original, and inventive

Bao; He likes wisteria flowers, the purple variation (my fav colour)! I loved loved LOVED coloring these plants, but it feels the most empty out of all of them (Clem is all over the place lmao) but I also kinda like it. Like it reflects their personalities this way, like he's the most upkept in society (despite his utter lack of gardening knowledge). Apparently, American wisteria is a host plant to native butterflies and moths! Add that to another reason Luci likes Bao lol. I feel like anytime she comes to the tea shop, Bao would bring her to the garden he & Pico would be working on. And everytime he's show her the plants he managed on his own they'd be drooping and dying lmao. Bao would be so confused & Luci is just unsurprised. And yes, I did think of & look at the wisteria in demon slayer Versatility: the ability to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities

Clem; She likes (take 3 seconds to guess) citrus fruits!! Like her name. So I of course did citrus fruits, lemons & oranges. She has my FAVORITE pose, her reaching for the fruit while juggling some in her other arm is adorable. And of course that cute face of hers! Her plants are just EVERYWHERE & is the only one to touch the ends of the canvas (that I wanted to avoid but oh well, it didn't look good otherwise). Besides, it shows her big personality and chaotic energy children have. Apparently, they're sometimes called 'Christmas oranges' because they're in season in winter months. I thought that was interesting. Does Clem like the cold, Helli or does she despise it like Pico lol? Apparently, they are also those cuties or halos oranges I use to devour as a child lol. And because of said memory, I say that Clem does too. I like to think Luci learns to share, like a child, from Clem, a said child. Luci sells back people's stuff overpriced all the time, and only shares things with Repo. She obviously isn't sharing anything with Pico & she mainly hangs out with Bao at the tea shop so she only buys things. She stole Clem's fruits in front of her once. Let's just say a bunch of sad faces and crying, not only bleed her earholes, but made her feel bad (but she'll never admit it). Does she share things now? Kindaaaaa- no. No, not at all. Only Clem & Repo Affability: the quality of being friendly and easy to talk to

aaaand my inspo board just cuz I was going to draw Vera, I really was! (I was so FRICKIN EXCITED to draw the plant with the braided stock next to the pink flower) but... one look at her head and the pose I chose, I said "No."

Bao was already troubling enough I don't need to build up hate to a character I barely know & already like by getting frustrated with their head (again). So no Vera, Helli, sorrys. Her descriptor was going to be 'nobility' btw

∙⊱⋅ Hi! Hello! I would like to present my headcanons of the TWST characters and if their hands are warm or freezing cold like mine

Heartslabyul

Riddle: He has cold hands. Dainty, cold hands. They're really pretty, don't get me wrong! He just chooses to cover them most of the time due to the poor blood circulation in them, making them forever cold. He wears mittens in the winter but gloves in public. Riddle doesn't like to admit he has cold hands, and if someone brings it up, they're in for a decapitation /hj. His hands are an overall 5/10 for holding, but 10/10 appearance-wise because it's cute when he wears mittens that have hedgehog patterns on them

Trey: This man has VERY warm hands. For some reason, they always smell like freshly baked goods and FEEL like something that just came out of an oven. His hands are relatively large, too! During the winter, just go up to him, grab his hands, and put them on your face. Just- Plop them on the sides of your face. Give it five minutes and your whole head will feel nice and warm. 100/10 would love to hold

Cater: Cater has warm hands, and are very fun to hold under normal circumstances. He'll take your hand in his, twirl you around, take a few selfies with you, and move on, but nothing extremely notable. However! All of his clones have REALLY cold hands. If Cater tries to tease you by surrounding you with clones, you can tell who the real one is by asking to hold hands with them. Cater is cute, I like him. His hands are 7/10 overall but are very comfy

Deuce: Also has cold hands, wears gloves to hide the fact. They're not as bad as Riddle, but they're significantly colder than Trey's. During the winter, I feel like he also wears fuzzy gloves and Ace pokes fun at him for it, but it's cute overall. His hands are very holdable otherwise, I rate them an 8/10

Ace: I am a simp. He automatically gets a 10/10.

JKJK— Ace has fairly warm hands! They're kinda calloused from his club, but his hands are super pretty! They're warm and comfy most of the time, but it depends on the weather since they could be really nice to hold at one moment, and then he would be trying to stick them on your back while you scream at how cold they are in the next. I love him, but he's a jerk.

... 7/10, but it's a 1000/10 for me because I'm down bad /hj

Savanaclaw

Leona: Leona has warm hands, that's all. Heavens knows if you're even able to get close enough to hold them to begin with, but his hands are TOASTY. Very large, warm hands. Am I biased? Yes. Absolutely. I want to hold Leona's hands very badly. 10/10. Chef's kiss. He would probably choke me if I tried holding his hands but it's okay /hj

Ruggie: His hands could be either-or. Most of the time they're warm, other times, they're just freezing and he's sticking them in his pockets to keep them warm. Ruggie also does the thing where he rubs his hands together when they get really cold, and I think it's cute because he tries to hide it when someone catches him. 7/10, but he gets a few bonus points because I'm biased and he's adorable

Jack: WARM HANDS!!! VERY BIG!!! COZY!!! AUGHH I WANNA HOLD THEM!!! Jack also has calloused hands, but they're SO comfy to hold. His hands are also MASSIVE, so he could just- Cover yours completely. Who needs mittens? You have Jack. I love Jack. Very good boy, 100/10. I am a simple woman. I want to hold Jack's hands and just keep them there.

Octavinelle

Azul: He has cold hands. Like Riddle, he doesn't like to admit it and tends to hide his hands in gloves. He claims that he wears them because it makes him look professional, but no. His hands are just VERY cold, and the Monstro Lounge has the AC going at full blast all the time, so he's shivering in the frickin lounge. Octopi live in warm waters. They can't handle the cold. Azul is trying his hardest, but his hands are a solid 3/10 at best, I'm sorry.

Jade: Jade also has cold hands, but they're not as bad as Azul's. It really depends on where he is, since they're usually warm when he goes out hiking, but their default state is most definitely cold. Jade's rather polite about it most of the time! He makes sure that he doesn't startle you by accidentally touching you with his... Bare, cold hands. I'm not sure what else I should say here, but I'm giving Jade a 5/10 overall, possibly a 6/10 because he's nice about it... Most of the time.

Floyd: Unlike Jade, Floyd has warm hands! They're calloused and rough, but significantly warmer than Azul's and Jade's combined. He sometimes gets pouty that he can't sneak up on people and shock them with freezing hands like Jade does (for troublemakers btw), so he occasionally just sticks them in a bucket of ice water to get the same effect. Floyd is a loose cannon. His hands are nice to hold when they're normal, but heaven forbid you fall victim to his ice bucket hands. 8/10 normally, 2/10 for the bucket hands.

Also! When the Leech twins pretend to be each other, you can figure out who is who by asking to hold their hands. Normally, the one with warmer hands is Floyd, unless they're super freezing. Otherwise... Yeah, that's still Floyd. Jade is the normal cold, Floyd turns into Elsa and laughs about it /hj

Scarabia

Kalim: WARM HANDS FOR THE SUNSHINE BOY. His hands are lovely. I love Kalim, and his hands are just the softest things you could ever imagine. Toasty marshmallows are what they are. I feel like Kalim ADORES taking your hand in his, keeping it nice and warm as you two walk. He definitely squeezes them whenever he gets excited too! Very sweet boy. He probably swings your arms while holding your hand and walking. 11/10 and like- A million points more for the enthusiasm

Jamil: Cold hands. Jamil has relatively cold hands. They’re usually warm because of the place he lives (both the Scalding Sands and Scarabia), but put him anywhere with air conditioning and his hands are as cold as ice. He is VERY temperature sensitive, and his hands can go from toasty to freezing after a few minutes. I have no idea what to rate them, so I'm giving him a 5/10

Pomefiore

Vil: Vil's hands are beautiful, but they're frigid most of the time. His hands are dainty and slender, but because of that, he has very little meat on there and the blood doesn't flow like a normal person's hands. They’re taken care of, his nails are gorgeous, and his palms are soft! The only issue is that he looks and feels like a corpse when he's sleeping— 9/10 only because they're freezing

Rook: I,,, Don’t know about him tbh 🧍 Rook's hands could be either-or. I think they're warm??? They seem like they're warm??? However, due to being a skilled huntsman, I feel like Rook can change his body temperature at will. You could either get nice warm hands to hold, or freezing hands that go along with his eerie smirk when he's trying to sneak up on you. ???/10, he kinda scares me- /hj

Epel: Warm hands! Epel's hands are definitely calloused and are a little red at the knuckles/palms. His hands are calming to hold, and even though they're smaller than most, he takes great pride when you hold his hand! Epel thinks that he can use this as an excuse to protect you while holding your hand, but in reality, they're just fun to squish and really pretty to look at. 9/10

Ignihyde

Idia: He has cold hands. Idia has very long, bony fingers, with little meat on them. His hands get cold easily, as does the rest of his body, so he just hides them in his hoodie. Idia's room is usually cold too, so that doesn't really help. The only part of him that's actually warm is... His hair. His hair feels like regular hair that was just blow-dried. I headcanon it just looks like it'll burn your hand off, but it just looks like that because of magic. Anyways, his hands are a 4.5/10 for me— They may look neat, but they're cold as heck.

Ortho: He is... A robot 🧍

OKOK IN ALL SERIOUSNESS! Ortho is made of metal, yes, but I feel like he has a function in there somewhere what lets him heat up and immitate body heat? Obviously he has sensors so that he doesn't overheat himself, but he can be warm when he wants to be! Ask to hold his hand and he'll warm it up for you! A very sweet boy, my son, I love him he's so precious. 10/10

Diasomnia

Lilia: Cold hands. He has freezing cold hands. Occasionally he just lays down in the middle of the most random places and pretends to be a corpse. Sebek has cried over him at least once, Malleus almost panicked at some point, Silver... Heck, Silver probably joins him idk- Lilia would ALSO stick his hands on your back, and giggle when you tense up at his ice blocks of fingers. 3/10 I'm sorry Lilia

Malleus: Malleus has large, pretty hands, but they're mostly cold unless he purposely heats them up himself with magic. His hands are beautiful and pale, with a slight blueish undertone? You can see some of his veins due to how blue they are and because of how pale his skin is. His hands are pretty, and if you want to hold them, he'll heat them up for you. 100/10 for you, but I doubt anyone else would be able to get close enough and would rate them a -5/10 because they just look freezing.

Silver: His are either-or. I feel like he normally has warm hands, but when he falls into a deep sleep, his body temperature drops SO low that he's also like a corpse. Like father like son, I guess? Anyways, Silver has big, pretty hands with both callouses and scars scattered on them. You would definitely feel safe if he held yours in his. 10/10 I want to hold onto his hands and never let go.

Sebek: He CLAIMS to have extremely warm hands, but his hands are lukewarm at best /affectionate. Sebek's hands are large and rough, also covered in callouses/scars. His hands could either be nice and warm, or freezing cold depending on where he is. 6/10, he's trying his best

These are the only the ooeyiest of gooeyiest of comfort fics. As little angst as you can get with these two.

Eddie and Steve have been spending a lot of time together since Vecna. They're co-parenting kids, getting high every night, and sleeping in the same bed. They basically share a wardrobe too.

He thinks this is dangerous, its like they’re married, the casual sharing of intimacy, this space between them which feels like something and nothing all at the same time. He thinks it’s dangerous for him to pretend Steve sees it the same way, that one day Steve’s droopy, kind eyes are going to see right through him and he’ll lose this. This being a side of Steve’s bed that is his, a nightstand where his rings always pile, a draw of shirts in Steve’s bedroom that only Steve uses. He can’t lose it, so he shuts his mouth, turns out the light, and watches the slow breathing of sleep fill Steve’s chest.

This one is so sweet; all sharing of clothes and beds and weed. It’s really short but god is it soft. The weighted blanket of fluff fics. Really adore all of Eddie’s internal arguments when he’s looking at Steve being the softest motherfucker on the planet and forcefully reminding himself that Steve is dangerous. I think about Eddie walking his knuckles down the knobs of Steve’s spine almost daily.

Eddie hates the library, he hates how quiet it is and how he’s always getting shushed by that librarian hag Muriel. But he hates his idiot roommate and his tendency to hog their dorm room to have loud sex with his girlfriend all night long, even more. And now he has to spend all night in the library cramming for an exam, which would be fine, if not for the fact that some polo-clad douchebag shows up and declares that Eddie’s study spot is actually his.

Or: Steve and Eddie fight over a study spot and accidentally fall in love over coffee, Vivaldi and the horror that is finals week.

So fucking cute. I forgot how much I love college AU’s. Features: Wonderwall by Oasis (much to Eddie’s chagrin), a librarian from hell, a SickFic Chapter, and an Eddie that has ADHD. Also, this one’s for the emo-kid Eddie truthers out there. Teeny bit of angst and some miscommunication but for me it was worth it. Frickin adorable.

Every date Steve has gone to lately has been horrible. It’s impossible that there’s something wrong with the entire female population of Hawkins, so surely there must be something wrong with him.

“Take me on a date, pretend, of course, and then I’ll tell you if there’s something wrong with you or not.”

Or: Eddie proposes a crazy idea to see if there's something wrong with him, Steve finds the fact that it works is even crazier.

So so fluffy. You will get a toothache from this one. It’s the cheesiest plot you could think of. For those of you who love a good loverboy!steve this for you. They’re just wooing eachother all the way through. Delightful.

Saving All My Love For You (and it’s sequel Endless Love) by @subtlehysteria

It was decided then and there in the Buckley residence’s lounge, on their weird Persian carpet while staring up at the off-white ceiling and Robin giggling at his side. He was going to rock Steve Harrington’s platonic world, man. And nothing was going to get in his way.

Or: Eddie notices Steve struggles with touch and in trying to help his new friend, develops feelings along the way.

Really sweet. Classic touch-starved Steve and tactile affection Eddie. Bedsharing, pinkie promises, and platonic hand-holding. Eddie gives Will a makeover and some advice. A bit of subtle body worship, love that. Sequel fic is also really cute but it has a bit of a rough scene with The Harrington Parents so be aware of that.

Do Nothing With You by @red-0ak-tree

Steve and Robin get a two bedroom in Hawkins. It's perfect, except for all the ways it isn't. Drafty windows, clogged drains, shitty landlord. But it's got a couch. A couch that's often occupied by Eddie Munson. Home isn't really the kind of thing Eddie has much of anymore, ever since his trailer became the primary source for all his nightmares. Luckily, he knows of a semi-comfortable couch where he's always welcome.

Despite all it's problem, the house has perks. Primarily, it's somewhere Steve can actually call home. Secondarily, it's somewhere he can share with the people he loves.

AKA: The fruity four live in a convoluted roommate situation, and romance happens along the way.

We all love a good co-habitation fic. Robin and Steve get an apartment together, it’s falling apart, and Eddie knows how to fix things. Slowly, Steve and Eddie start to help fix eachother. This probably has the most angst out of all of these, but it’s also one of my absolute favorites and the sweetness overpowers the lows.

PTA Shouldn’t Stand for Pretty Tight Ass by @samthefrank and @humanityinahandbag

Steve Harrington - ex local legend and fearsome bully, now single father of two - returns to Hawkins after the world spit him out. With a messy life to sort through, all he wanted was settle down and get his kids through seventh grade without any surprises.

Cue Mr. Eddie Munson, ex victim of one Steve Harrington, now Hawkins Middle School's favorite music teacher.

Or: What happens when your former high school bully raises two absolute nerds, joins the PTA, helps run the bake sale, makes the best cupcakes in Indiana, and may or may not be having a bisexual crisis.

This was the very first Steddie fic I ever subscribed to and let me tell you I get so HYPED every time I get the notification they update. Steve is a single dad to twins Dustin & Max, a damn good baker, and custodian at his dad’s auto dealership. Eddie is a music teacher in the style of Jack Black in School of Rock, who’s best friends with his fellow teachers Miss Buckley and Miss Cunningham. This fic has Robin and Eddie perform Body Talks by The Struts & Ke$ha at an open-mic karaoke and it’s so fucking electric that that song earned a place on my steddie playlist. It’s a real slow burn but I’m so excited to see where they take this story.

Eddie's staring at the ceiling, eyes half closed and still giggling faintly. He looks pretty. He looks like he belongs here, in Steve’s bed, and Steve gets hit with how much he wants Eddie to stay, to crawl in bed beside Steve every night and wake up there every sunrise.

And, shit, it’s a lot. Steve's gone, completely, fully, fucking free-falling his way into everything that was, is, and will be Eddie Munson. Head over heels, ass over tits, heart-took-a-nosedive off his sleeve and into the lap of the boy beside him, gazing half-lidded at the ceiling, the glimmer of dreamy stars in the sliver of his eyes Steve can see.

or, the one where Steve's trying to figure out his future, his feelings, and one Eddie Munson.

So fluffy, so sweet. They’re all nerds and they love Star Wars. This is a tiny detail but Steve goes to college and he likes it and I love that for him. Completely SMOTHERED in hope for a bright future.

When Eddie enters the tattoo parlour that Chrissy recommended to him, he doesn't know what'll hit him. Never in a million years would he have expected the pastel or the minimalistic decor or how really fucking polished everything about this place is. It's like an antithesis to Eddie's entire existence has been created with the makings of this shop.

The absolute cherry on top is the man that walks into the room to greet him, though, and Eddie can't contain the look of absolute bafflement. Because there is no way that Steve Harrington, whom Eddie has has the maddest crush on in high school, owns a tattoo shop. No way. Nuh-uh. Not dressed in pastel like he is.

Eddie wants to punch a wall. What he doesn't know yet is that he'll have the best time reconnecting with Steve. And if he gets a tattoo out of it, well, then that's just another win for the community in his book.

LOVE a Tattoo Shop!AU and this is no exception. This one is pretty new, but so far it’s the fluffiest shit I’ve read in ages. Features trans man Eddie, Chrissy Cunningham as his scheming best friend, and a lot of Taylor Swift. I literally found this one moments ago and immediately needed to put it on this list. It’s too fucking cute, I can’t wait to see where it goes.

my thoughts on ep 1 and 2 of the live action ATLA series!

So it is absolutely GORGEOUS. like the visuals??? the costumes?? THE VFX??? OUTSTANDING. CHEF'S KISS. INCREDIBLE. the worst thing is Zuko's scar and like ok whatever nothing we can do about that.

Episode one was fantastic we actually see a lot of great additions, which is COOL! like more of Monk Gyatso, and the actual attack on the Air Nomads... 😭

I'd say writing wise it's not as great as I want it to be. A touch too many monologues for my taste, especially in the first episode, but nothing too bad. Could've been better, but definitely DEFINITELY could've been worse *eyes the movie that will not be named*

You can tell they're trying to squish important plot points together instead of spacing it out across more episodes I mean especially since Netflix decided everything has to be EIGHT EPISODES. but the pacing is actually good considering that LOL

but oh the EMOTIONS. THE EMOTIONS?!?!!

the actor of Aang oh my gosh, Gordon Cormier, OMG. DUDE I NEARLY BAWLED MULTIPLE TIMES BASED ON HIS PERFORMANCE ALONE. IT WAS ABSOLUTELY HEARTBREAKING 😭 HE'S SO GOOD 😭 and he's so cute too he's so baby I'm wjrhwhrhwhdhwhdhwh

I love the actors of Sokka and Zuko whdhwhdhshdsjjdhsjd. Ian Ousley and Dallas Liu? DID NOT DISAPPOINT.

SOKKA WAS HILARIOUS we BURST out laughing SO MANY TIMES, he was so GOOD 😭 the jokes he cracked were genuinely funny wwhdhwhgd and the SARCASM especially. and HIS ACTING THE ACTING HE NAILED IT?? It was so natural and THE EXPRESSIONS HE'D MAKE AND JUST. ALL HIS ACTING CHOICES IN GENERAL WERE SO GOOD. HE WAS HILARIOUS. and other than the funny parts in general he was just so good! HE GETS IT. HE IS SOKKA.

and Zuko was so good too like, we haven't gotten to all the juicy angst yet so I can't fully judge, but so far he's done SO well. Like especially the moments he'd get really angry and also HE'S SO GOOD AT MARTIAL ARTS. SO.

BUT HE'S ALSO RLLY FUNNY TOO??? especially when he gets annoyed with Uncle Iroh LIKE THE BODY LANGUAGE WAS SO SUBTLE BUT IT WAS HILARIOUS. and YES UNCLE IROH WAS GREAT TOO, I LOVE HIM SO FAR. HE IS ALSO HILARIOUS and does seem like Uncle Iroh to me so far!!

Katara hasn't had much to do yet and much like. acting stuff or much to do with her character yet but like that's okay, I'm pretty confident they're still building it up. They haven't gotten to the JUICY bits yet. But she was already so good too.

I'm really interested in some changes, like how they focus more on the Avatar State as a plot point? It's interesting LOL. There was also a shot that showed that in this universe, Katara actually saw her mom die?!?? like omg, that's so gruesome I'm crying.

and it's true that they cut out the sexism arc of Sokka 😭 BUT BUT BUT. IAN OUSLEY. OH HE GETS IT. Like you can see he's really doing his best to keep it a part of the story, like in his acting choices, he's still trying to include the more sexist aspect of his character even if the script isn't supporting it. Like he really truly did his best with what he had and he nailed it, it's the script's fault

And I will say I'm not crazy about some of the stuff they added to Suki? like, I wasn't crazy about the whole "thank you for bringing the world to me" thing, but it's just okay LOL. She's frickin GORGEOUS tho

(also I was really hoping we'd get the scene of Sokka wearing the Kyoshi warrior outfit and makeup but sadly they didn't put it in but it's okay)

OH BUT THE CRUMBS. THE SOKKA AND SUKI CRUMBS. OH THEY'RE SO CUTE. ESPECIALLY THE SCENE IN THE DOJO WHERE SHE'S TEACHING HIM?? OH IT WAS SO CUTE. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH. you can tell they're doubling down a bit more on their romance, especially since we know it's already gonna be endgame, but it's making me wonder how they'll tackle Yue 🤔

but yeah. Sokka and Suki stinking adorable I was SQUEALING MULTIPLE TIMES, I LOVE IT I LOVE IT

and the BENDING. THE BENDING IS KRIFFING GORGEOUS. IT'S SO GOOD. THE STUNTS?? THE MARTIAL ARTS?? BEAUTIFUL!! MAGNIFICENT!! PERFECTION!! and the VFX?? HECK YES. AUGH!! I'm definitely not disappointed about it. And I love how dangerous the bending legitimately feels?? like it feels so LETHAL. And there were some really shocking bending moments that were done incredibly well. I loved it.

so YEAH. IN CONCLUSION. so far, judging from just the FIRST TWO episodes... I rate it a 7.5/10

The writing is maybe a 6.5/10, but the acting for sure a solid 9/10. DEFINITELY worth the watch imo, BUT so much more enjoyable with an open mind and acceptance that it's not supposed to be a carbon copy of the show.
