If there's something both fathersonners and hankconnies suck at is keeping Hank's "assholeness" and sarcastic jokes.

Dude is the type mf that would joke bout Connor dating other androids, esp girls, and start talking how all this shit's just a big pain in the ass and how it's better if Connor keep far from humans in this sense 😂 (cuz Connor looks so fucked up he gonna scare mfs)

C'mon, man. Dude jokes bout Connor going to the Eden Club just to see some pretty boys and girls. Connor literally jokes bout mf's interest in machines finally making him being "useful" to the investigation and straight up call mf a dude without life purpose. When they diverge in opinions is even better.

Shippers just ruin 'em dynamic in a way I get surprised how the fucking hell they like a "fanon" so boring. I won't even comment bout fathersonners...

Mfs got the power of ruining one of the best aspects of 'em dynamic (this exchange in sarcasm and questionable jokes - and ofc the swearing) just to put Hank in a good light and get Connor in a toddler's place. This "blorbo" thing, keep it away from me.

I already gotta put up with the game's narrative never punishing Hank for anything and Connor always taking the bad shit for himself and the game punishing u for being real (cuz he's an android), mfs keep saying they're the best part of dbh and the first thing they do is removing the only interesting part of 'em shit just for some stupid romantical interest that basically doesn't fucking exist in canon with everything becoming a uwu or a father/son role selection that is a slap in Hank's almost inexistent character development face, turning him into everything he had always criticized instead of exploring his already existent ideals and trauma, expanding it. Cuz, man, this son of a bitch got lotta shit to learn and Connor bites - dude ain't yo silly lil uwu twink boy. U say shit like that I already know u think he's a "android detective". Yeah, my dick inside your ass.

Seriously tho

I'm working out the kinks a bit but basically, it's gonna be a kingdom of another MultiReality planet. The ppl are tieflings, and as you can see from the notes, they have had a monarchy for generations.

But there's a bit of chaos in the castle, the advisor, who is prob gonna be version of Terrix, was good friends with the king and queen for quite some time, but thought they were holding their ideas back, and that he could bring a grander vision to the kingdom with new technology. Tin soldiers and security, that didn't have to rely on human error. The royals were supportive at first, but thought so and a large scale rework of the city would be pushing the change over the edge. Thus the advisor got them out of the way for his vision, and manipulated their son into being a little puppet.

Bandhur has plenty of charisma, and is fine being the face man. Often just going by a script, because even when e pitches ideas, they're sent back to him saying they are silly, so he's used to being told that those around him know best in his circle. He has a bit of a disconnect with the common folk.

As things progress, the android the advisor had developed forms it's own ideas for how the future should look: the tieflings doing their labor for them, instead of the robots being slaves to their will.

The android forms it's own underground unit, and ropes bandhur into it, seeing as he is the link to the public, and also using him as a sort of test run for its plan. It often sends him on errands, or gather information for them that they framed as little games, or ways to be helpful. They told bandhur that the advisor new bout this "secret ops" thing they were doing (which isn't true) but to not bother him with what they are up to, since they "already send reports". The relationship quickly gets dark with the robots punishments on bandhur when he doesn't complete a task, or not to a satisfactory degree. It often extends to intense physical tests, puzzles (which he often fails), and increasingly harsher shocks from wrist bands. Due to that his forgetfulness has increased and his coordination suffers after the intense shocks. The android views them as they should be a jumpstart or a reset button like for robots, but doesn't fully grasp how things affect non robotic entities, given they are far more technically minded.

Bandhur gets increasingly unnerved by the robots, but doesn't feel it fit to bring it up to the advisor since he thinks it was approved by him.

Things continue to go downhill until in a disoriented state of weakness, he reaches out to the rebels whom they've been fighting this whole time

How often do you read fanfics? Well, damn, dude, I just set one down to come answer this. (Really though, a lot. Idk I like seeing the blorbos dance. And also I'm still experiencing some burn-out from having to be autistic and in college and such so actual books... no. only blorbo.)

Top three characters from your current fandom(s):

Supernatural: Sam Winchester the most character of all time. Lucifer! Second most character of all time! and rn, Michael. but that third slot is always subject to change. Last week it was Raphael lmao.

Mass Effect: Legion. They're my favorite robot, I want their gender and their name. Tali'Zorah nar Rayya, genuinely my favorite teammate and I think she has the best plotline through all three games don't @ me. and hm. hard choice. Joker. Because he is funny. Because his relationship to Shepard is maybe my favorite out of anyone's, even the romance options. (Tiptree + "Anderson told me to take care of you" conversation in my mind always at all times...)

Succession: (okay this is cruel this is actually like asking me to pick a favorite child. but i will.) Shiv my beloved my queen i would die for her. Gerri my other beloved and queen i would also die for her. and Roman, my favorite little guy with everything in the world wrong with him.

Elder Scrolls: Martin Septim & the v specific version of Hero of Kvatch who does mantle Sheogorath, yes, both of them together, they are a set but the point is that they are separated by fate and godhood. and then also Nazeem. because he is funny. I wrote a whole fic about him.

i think i hate the term positive masculinity L O L

like i saw a twitter thread of people listing examples of positive masculinity and like 1.) there was like no one listing people like trans men and butch/masc women (including butch trans women) people who are...you know actively discouraged and punished for their masculinity for genuinely challenging cishet concepts of masculinity and 2.) hey why are we doing this anyways?

Like what is the point of a term like positive masculinity especially when we're just applying it to cishet men like a gold star for reaching the goddamn bare minimum? Obviously its been set up as the opposite of toxic masculinity which is honestly just kind of fucked? Toxic masculinity doesnt need some kind of uwu notallmen counterpart? it was created to name the way men are encouraged by the patriarchy to subjugate women and themselves slash other (usually marginalized) men for not adhering to the same misogynistic patriarchal ideals like? You know the things that result in shit like domestic abuse and a bunch of other nasty shit even though its been kind of defanged into here's why men don't cry uwu like GOD!! like yeah thats part of it but christ!!! can we please focus on how it affects women you know the way feminist terms are supposed to??

and thats honestly why positive masculinity is the same to me as like...people and like...well anti feminists trying to create toxic femininity as a term which like can you just shut up we already have internalized misogyny which is 1000 times more accurate.

And honestly positive masculinity feels kind of anti feminist in the same way

Like the things people list about positive masculinity aren't...connected to masculinity at all? They're connected to the way society views femininity if we're going to work inside this binary for a minute. Like people will praise men crying and being vulnerable which is good i dont disagree...but those are often things society associates with women/femininity and more importantly, punishes women for. For every goddamn person praising men for crying in public we're getting 10 women crying in public called hysterical lying bitches. Which is honestly why I feel if we're gonna use a term like this at all we should focus on how these are perceived as feminine traits and not just slapping positive masculinity around so men are still #manly even when they're crying and never have to examine the way they still have privilege for doing the same goddamn shit women do.

And moreover why are we gendering traits like this anyways? it gets really gross really fast. Like if it wasn't traits we associate as a culture with femininity it was shit like leadership which...why are we leaving that in the domain of masculinity/men? Why by using positive masculinity as a term do people cede ground to misogyny by dressing it up in progressive language? Like when your positive masculinity is listing shit like taking charge and ambition are you not just saying ambition is for men, not women? Not that a term like positive femininity would work either, do you really want to start listing shit like when women are subservient and submissive and niceys to their positively masculine men ^_^ like we're just repackaging the stupid essentialist misogynistic divine feminine and divine masculine shit that keeps popping up like why do we keep doing this. These aren't useful terms for anything they're making gross sweeping statements about things that are...just traits people can have. Women can be ambitious and it doesnt mean they're exhibiting positive femininity and men can cry and it doesn't mean this is some positive masculinity shit it just means thats a woman whos ambitious and a man whos sensitive like its fine!!!! like christ

You were supposed to be studying, but why were you hunched over squealing over a guy from a game?

Your door room slowly opened, looking over your shoulder seeing Oikawa, "Hey Y/N-chan~" He greets as he smiles at you. You turned back to your game as you nodded, "Hey aren't you supposed to be studying? Your test is in 2 days! We don't want you failing now do we?" He lightly scolded as he put his hand on his hip. "Yeah yeah~ I've been studying and reading over my notes for 2 hours now! I'm taking a break" you replied

"Still, what are you even doing?" He asked as he moved to the door to your bed, his body sprawled out on your comfy bed. "Oh, just a game" you nonchalantly answer. "Ah, I see," He said, taking out his phone, scrolling through his social media.

"Y/N! There's a new cafe that just opened last week! We should go, I've been meaning to take you on a date anyways~" He sweetly says, slightly putting his head up to look at you, still focused on your phone. He waited for your answer.. nothing.

"Y/N-chan, what are you so focused on over there anyway?" He whined getting up to stand beside your chair he peered over your shoulder seeing you texting a group chat , "Eh? Why are you talking with other dudes? AND ARE THEY FLIRTING WITH YOU?!" He yelled, you turned to him as you flipped your phone down.

"Tooru, those aren't real boys, it's just a game" You explained, "So you're playing a game where you text other boys?" He asked, still skeptical. "Basically.. well just know that they're not real! My friend just told me to download it and I've been playing for weeks now!" You went on. His eyebrows rose, "Still, why would you text those.. those boys when you can text me!" He said, pouting, as he wraps his arms around your waist, bringing you closer to him.

"Don't be such a baby, it's you that I love an-" You got cut off as your phone started ringing, you turned so fast like sanic, seeing 707 calling you, you let out a small giggle before accepting the call. Leaving Oikawa to pout and grumble to himself.

"She has me, the most amazing guy ever, why is she so happy seeing a fake dude call her?" He mumbled as he crossed his arms waiting for you to finish your 'phone call'. Seeing you occasionally squeal and smile really hard, he was getting j e a l o u s.

After the phone call you turn back to Oikawa, he was on your bed, with his face buried on your pillow. You sat beside him, "Hey don't suffocate yourself now" you laugh, as you roll him onto his back, his lips were pursed, "I was waiting for you to finish your 'phone call'" he sarcastically said. "Oh come on Tooru! It's not that big of a deal" you replied, rolling your eyes at him.

"Yeah yeah, just go and talk to your 707 or whatever, I'll be here" He said as he turned around to sulk. You jumped onto his back, "You're the only guy I love though, even if 707 and Jumin are my favorite, it won't change the fact that I only love you!" You reassured him.

"Well, if they were real, would you still be with me?" He turned around to look at you with puppy eyes, you decided to mess with him a little bit. "Don't cross that line" You said with a straight face, but you were actually joking. "Hmph!" He said, puffing his cheeks and turning away from you again."I was just kidding!" You said shaking his arm, "No, go back to your stupid game".

"Okay, if you say so" You teased him, getting up from the bed, he swiftly took your wrist and turned you around, "I didn't actually mean that" He said, his eyebrows furrowed. "But I need to get back to study," You replied, "Yeah? Give me your phone, it's only a distraction to you" He said, releasing your wrist and holding out his hand, waiting for your phone. You let out a small whine and walked over to your phone, picking it up and setting it on Oikawa's palm.

He looks at you satisfied, "Alright, that's a good girl hm? Go back to studying then" He said as he laid back down your bed, scrolling through his phone. You stick out your tongue at him. Sitting back down at your desk. After a few minutes passed, you hear your phone ringing, you quickly look back, seeing Jumin Han calling you, you quickly pounce on the bed. But Oikawa grabs your phone faster, "Tsk tsk Y/N, I thought you were gonna be a good girl and not be distracted by this.. this person" He said, wagging his finger at you.

"Whatever Tooru, can you give me my phone?" You asked as you tried reaching for it, but he just kept putting it farther away, so you climbed up your bed, trying to grab your phone. You pushed his chest down the bed, as he held it past his head, "Oh? Getting dominant with me now?" He chuckled. You just now realized the position the two of you were in.

But before you can get up, Oikawa flipped the both of you, making him hover over your body. Wagging your phone in front of you, "Do you need your phone that badly, love?" He asked, you turned your head away from him, "N-Not anymore," you answered. He places your phone somewhere on your bed as he takes his hand to grab your chin, making you look at him.

"Who's the only man you love hm?" He asks with a sweet voice, "Y-You" You answered faintly, "I'm afraid I can't hear you love, mind speaking a bit louder?" He said, inching his face near yours. "You," You finally said without stuttering, he looks happy, "Of course! As it should be, that wasn't so hard was it?" He said, not letting go of your chin just yet. "But I do believe that you were giving more attention to your phone than me, so, as punishment I'll make you give me.. 100 kisses! Sound fair?" He smiled.

"100?! Like right now?" You asked, he lets go of your chin, "You sound like you haven't given me more than 100 kisses last week" he winks as you blush, "But I'll make it easy by giving you one right now!" He dipped down your lips, giving them a small peck. "One down ninety nine more to go!" He cheered.

"Let's get to business shall we?" He smirks as he captures your lips again, gliding his tongue onto your bottom lips, he lifted you up in a surprise, making you straddle him. You let your hands wander around his body, finally setting them on his neck as he deepened the kiss, letting your tongues tussle together, after a while Oikawa pulls away, softly biting your lip, you both were breathless from the kiss but nothing mattered right now but the way he held you in his arms.

He grabs your head to rest it on his chest, "That's only 2 out of 100 love, we better get to work hm?" He smirked with a mischievous glint in his hazel brown eyes.

Tell me about it, Medi!!(Medi, was it?) I really like the thought of an antagonist, one that actually makes the storyline juicy by adding conflict. And can't we have a female character as a friend or something?.. Imagine mc having friends OTHER than the mains, I like that thought. Adds more detail and depth into the story.

But you're right about the personalities. It irritates me how they're literally just simping for mc now? Everyone has their own thoughts, but I'd prefer if they STILL had those demon instincts. They're WAY too soft for my liking. At least make them A BIT more demonic? Like Asmodeus. He doesn't only specialize in lust. The actual Asmodeus was responsible for breaking relationships, making people have selfish desires that led to their doom and those who succumbed to their lust became his prey. This actually happened with that one painting in obey me? The witch, Helene? And how asmo didn't even show A BIT of shame. But now he's back to "uwu I love myself and mc". Don't demons corrupt others though? My thoughts.

Maybe I'm thinking way too dark, but like, what if the demons actually kept a facade of loving you? Believe me I didn't trust Lucifer until lesson 18, or any of the brothers till 16, and I liked the feeling of dread when I used to be like, "Oh wait is he gonna do something to me now?" BECAUSE THEY ARE LITERAL DEMONS I DON'T TRUST DEMONS. It's disappointing. I guess now I gotta turn to fics that portray them as ACTUALLY being selfish like how a demon should be.

Yeah, don’t get me wrong I’d love to have a female character as a new datable option or friend, I just don’t have much faith in how they’ll write a female character into what’s pretty much an established romance. And yup, Medi is right.

Same, I loved the tension and hating Lucifer was so much fun. It's a shame I’m not really into Lucifer that way because he has the most character development out of all of them and stayed a bit more intact. Like even when he loves MC he’s still prideful.

Meanwhile Satan is just a crazy cat lady with an occasional love of books/pranks and a rare reference to being “tamed.” He could’ve been so much more interesting, I loved their take on wrath and wanted to see more about demons vs fallen angels. It doesn’t help that I hate when they make “I can change you with my love” a reality, like at least get him to a therapist or something.

This might be controversial, but I think part of it is also due to Mammon’s success. From how things played out it seems like they expected Lucifer to be the most popular by far, but eventually they realized Mammon was pretty close and started focusing on him as well.

One thing that always bugged me about Mammon is that we never really face any consequences from it. Like Lucifer’s pride gets in the way or causes him to lash out, all of the brothers do, but Mammon’s sin never actually harms the player. I know half the people saying no one should ever be mad at him for stealing would be pissed if he regularly stole sentimental/rare/expensive belongings and never apologized or at gave them the money he made.

He never steals from them or screws them over, and even his early behavior gets ignored or brushed off as him being stupid. Because personally I have a hard time believing Mammon’s resentment from being forced into a pact and humiliated disappeared just like that. Sure occasionally MC gets punished, but the player doesn’t take any part of it and usually people that like Mammon want to do stuff like that anyway so it isn’t really his fault.

Anyway TLDR I think the fact that the softest and least dangerous demon with no real drawbacks or serious accidents being the most popular set the tone for the devs too. All of it started way before the attic arc too, he was a fan favorite from the beginning and I think he still would be even if he did attempt to get rid of MC tbh.

I could definitely see an argument for them pretending, especially since they fell “in love” so quickly and yet reacted to MC dying like they do to losing an object. I highly doubt they’d do that in a romance game though tbh, but tbh I always kinda pictured it as them being temporarily infatuated with MC instead of intending to be with them for the rest of MC’s life, at least until the whole attic arc and Lilith reveal.

I can see the appeal though, and imo Asmo already kind of does that. A lot of his “compliments” in the beginning have double meanings or hidden insults and his whole inspection thing after the labyrinth was looking for the source of power stronger than Solomon's in what’s supposed to be a pathetically weak mundane.

He also indirectly tries to get you killed because you’re annoying him and actively threatens you if you say you don’t like him at all. If it weren’t that late in the game or it had routes I’m sure he actually would’ve tried.

The game would’ve been a million times better if they were routes tbh, actual routes and not the moneygrubbing keys mechanic, even if it was a common route until after the attic arc. Dark characters really shine when you can actually mess up and see their nasty side or what they’re like when truly and completely rejected.

As it is now Mammon and Lucifer get all the attention even when you actively avoid them. Meanwhile Asmo stans get nothing even on his birthday. They could do a harem route too for all the people that want it, but it’s not like you can’t replay the game and go through all of them in a true otome. The wide as an ocean, but deep as a puddle thing isn’t working out imo. As much as I love them the side characters becoming datable didn’t help either.

They could’ve done some really interesting things with Diavolo and Barbatos too, having them as sinister and untrustworthy like they were in the beginning if not more while still having them be romancable. I love the hints of cultural/moral differences they give us and the many hints that Diavolo isn’t quite as “wholesome” as he acts even in the more recent things, but I doubt we’ll ever see that because it’ll alienate everyone who hates darker things and people who like darker things but not Diavolo.

I think that’s a small part of why it’s harder for me to write as well, because they’re all so much different now it’s harder to imagine them like I did before. There’s only so many times you can go back and read the beginning, although it’s always a bit of a shock how different they are.

Even for fan content it’s hard to find the sweet spot between identical to the average sugary sweet human and super dark ooc t0rturep0rn imo. Like don’t get me wrong there’s still a lot of good stuff from way better authors than me, but there’s only so much and a lot them quit ages ago or are starting to now.

Short Drabble based on This Post by the lovely @summonerscenarios

It felt like screaming into an airless Void- devoid of any sound or reasoning. Their faces held scowls of disapproval boreing into him mercilessly. Even as his every breath cried out in innocence- no one heard a thing...

No one heard a damn thing he said. The once frustrated grunts have since then dissolved into bitter stares and petty murmers- but it was okay. He was used to the silence.

They'd all come crashing down from their pedastals, their own prosecution turning on them, leaving endless waves of guilt flooding their hearts. Looking back on it he'd probably been better off not knowing- atleast he wouldn't be so damn pissed right now.

The regret filled words of his technical guardian only seemed to fuel this fire, filling their heads with the bindings of betrayal and mistrust.

'So much for having my back..' The thought doesn't escape his lips, but shines ever so violently in his eyes- stinging as if the salt had poured right through his retnas. The Apology is slow worded- yet does nothing to sate their anger, and as he returns to his seat ogled by his friends and classmates alike, it sits there bubbling.

He doesn't attend the guild meeting that day. Hell- he's not even sure if there was one, being honest the rest of the day was a blur in an attempt to keep his own rage in check. But now it was over, and as he makes uncomfortably long strides towards his dorm- it starts to boil over. A flurry of thoughts run rampant through his head all screaming-

'How could they' All he's sacrificed for them, and this is how they're repaid- It takes all his willpower not to completely rip the door from its hinges. Away from the exposure of the public, the seething violence painting his features can no longer be hidden. Their vision spilled with a gruesome red that swells up inside.

He's needs to punch something or else he's gonna fucking burst.

His right fist tightens to a nearly selfharming degree- the jarring crack of his now white knuckles offsetting the tense silence. They're so caught up in their own emotions that they dont even hear someone enter the dorm behind them.

The flimsy glass keeping their anger in check shatters in one motion, and it crashes in waves through his body. Channeling it all into his fist he strikes the closest wall- nearly going clean through it. The plaster is all but destroyed with blood splattering the now exposed wood. Their hand is a vibrant red, and they can't tell if the shallow tears falling from their eyes are from the pain or the following emptiness swallowing them whole.

He wants to crash and burn, to forget his own existence- if only for a lifetime or two. Their hand pulls back, daring to strike again but-

"Its Ok!- I'm here.."It breaches in broken sobs but the message freezes him in his tracks. Ryota embraces him from behind wrapping tightly around his torso. Hes... crying, Kiome can feel his tears staining the back of his jacket.

Vision Blurred, he can no longer control the torrent of tears behind his eyes. Falling further into Ryota's arms. The embrace is warm, and the way Ryota caresses the top of his head only makes the tears fall faster. Before he can stop them, jagged sobs escape his lips- incoherent mumblings following soon after. The redhead just coos in response- assuring him that it'll all be alright. That he's with them no matter what. And as they sit in the aftermath, he has but one request...

"Please...Hold me closer..."

"Of course~"
