I’ve made a billion fucking drafts and can’t find the words to talk about cellbit and bagi from today. how the fuck do you explain the intricacies between a brother who has lived a life that has sharpened him to cut what he touches, and a sister who had to live with his absence? a man who has to see the childhood he never got to have whenever he looks at the woman he now knows is his twin? said twin who cannot understand why her brother would be anything but glad they are reunited? how do you get across that tangled mess of emotions cellbit had to get him to burn his old pet worm? the paradox of longing for what could have been while desperate to get rid of any reminder, with a healthy dose of paranoia that anything could be a federation bug. or the pure devotion bagi has to decide to stick with her brother even though he is not close to the same as he was when he went missing? the unfairness of it all, of cellbit being taken and made into a killer before he turned 14, of bagi looking for him at the detriment of her own safety and self, of ripped up childhoods and everything that could have been? the fact that the first thing cellbit asks is what he could have done to deserve it? the disgust he holds for himself for what he’s done, and the anger he has for the federation that’s taken everything from him, and the resentment he has towards bagi no matter how unfair it is because she never had to go through what he did? how after bagi swore to help him burn the federation down, cellbit went to bad instead, because bad was there and fought alongside him, and he trusts bad because he’s seen him at his worst, and all he feels like doing is his worst right now? the two of them so similar still because they’re consumed by their need for revenge, while bagi just wants to leave the island? how the fuck can you summarize all this and the emotions that accompany it?

got a lot of feels lately thinking about how much Khalan has grown as a character since I created him, so I felt like drawing him again!!

specifically focused on his Primordial SMP version this time around, since that's the version of him that I feel has the most distinct character change. really wanted to try and capture that shift in personality within these two sketches - like how he started out so meek and closed off from everyone when he first arrived in Drehmal, but eventually grew to be more confident in himself later on in Atria ;o; (and even learned how to fight!!! which is a big deal for him!!!!)

do people realize you can dislike the jokes someone is making, and find them inappropriate, and want them to stop, and still not frame a gay man as "disgusting" and "disturbing" for messing with straight men doing gay rp in minecraft. like, that's actually just a bad thing to do!

yes, there is a very real tension in the jokes tubbo makes and in the words and rhetoric he mocks. (and yes it is clearly jokes)

but that's exactly why the fact he is gay matters. it matters very much. tubbo is gay. homophobia is going to affect him his entire life. 

fact is, fit and pac can do their little gay rp (and they do a good meaningful job! i love fitpac) and get given money and attention and accolades for it and then walk away from the computer and go about their lives completely unaffected.

the same is literally not true for tubbo (whose sexuality has been under intense public scrutiny since he was a child). he does not get to walk away from it. he will never get to walk away from it.

fit and pac, even if they do a sincere job at it, are very much playing at a gay relationship (and profitting!) in a fake world where nothing about it is ever going to seriously affect them (not even qtubbo's "homophobia"). this is completely juxtaposed to the real world, where tubbo lives, where homophobia very much has a real impact on queer people

it's that tension that tubbo is trying to eat at with his jokes. it's that tension that he finds funny. it's that tension that he enjoys making the straight creators aware of. that's the basis of it and it's completely rooted in him being a gay man.

don't get me wrong, it is an EDGY form of humour. it's meant to be jarring and uncomfortable and it's not the most appropriate for the wider qsmp audience. he doesn't always succeed with the tone or format. and i totally understand people who don't like it and are uncomfortable with it and who want to ask him to stop. i really do

dislike it. dislike him for it. ask for it to be stopped as much as you want. but painting it as tubbo randomly making "disgusting" and "disturbing" light of a real world issue is simply not accurate. removing the very real context as to why he can make these jokes and why he makes these specific types of jokes is not fair. you can do better with your criticism!

Pissa Reunion Masterpost: (Literally there’s so much content we got this is gonna be hella long pls help me)

FIRST OFF YA DONTCHA SEE WHY THE PISSA NATION IS LOCO OVER THIS DUO? WE HAVE BEEN STARVING. PHILZA ALWAYS BEEN LOYAL TO ONE WET CAT! And that is Missa. And secondly I got most of the earlier half of stream information from the lovely @pepper-mintzyy. Give your liveblogger some love and care.

First off the scene where Missa comes online and Phil is all “WHERE THE FUCK HAVE YOU BEEN?!?!” And Cellbit immediately saying “Oh this your husband?” And Phil immediately saying yes without the platonic. THEN THEY PROCEED TO HAVE A FULL BLOWN BOAT DATE with legit felps being such a third wheel he legit says “Continue on forget I’m here”. Also the fact Cellbit pointed out “OH that’s why you have a skull on your backpack it’s because of your husband” and Phil immediately agreeing and Missa whimpering.

They literally like lowkey forgot they were on a mission and immediately was smitten with each other they high-key forgot the mission and people around them. The fact our wet cat almost dead rushed in to save Mr hardcore himself. The amount of times Phil has to save his husband. The fact Missa bought gifts for Philza IRL.

The fact when catching up Phil was all like “Oh we have another egg” not even thinking twice about accepting his husband as Tallulah second adopted father. The fact Missa was like “You are such a good father” in the down bad voice he is always in.

Literal highkey their cubitos flirting saying smooth shit like “Like the good old days" "nothings changed” and "the one thing that made you stand out". Like full on giggling and laughing and just chilling in each other company. The amount of time they were distracted by the actual major lore by each other just being there after so long is insane. Honestly believe not for others present they would not have reached the objective.

Phil being so sweetly protective of Missa and always making sure he is right next to him. Also the amount of soft showing off he did towards Missa is insane. The fact Phil numero uno priority is Missa and chayanne always. That has never changed despite Missas absence. The fact Missa never left his simpage for Philza and immediately seeing Phil be awesome and is “I c-can see your PECS”. Like bruh he is so down bad.

The fact Philza immediately seeing his husband getting wrecked by mobs decided then and there to give him SO MUCH GEAR LATER. Philza lanuage of love Definitely is Gift Gifting and Acts of service. The fact during Philza introduction to the new players Missa kept saying stuff like “That’s my love! that’s my love!”.

Missa soon had to leave to be a part of a Minecraft event of sorts. But right after he got back online because he wanted to se his husband and son. (Sadly chayanne already went to bed). The amount of miscommunication the death duo went through (With mainly bad being a third wheel and trying to cause problems in their relationship). Landduo was legit preventing poor Missa to go and see his man.

Missa literally only escaped because dapper told him just ask and he will kill LOLOLOL. He went home and forever and him had a whole conversation and apology. That they are friends now. Missa saying stuff Philza is not someone to be won etc. and Philza literally ditched tubbo and Cellbit was like “Your husband needs help? Understandable” and yet again no corrections from Phil.

THEN THE MOST SOFTEST ROMANTIC LATE STREAM STUFF I HAVE EVER SEE HAPPENS. They met again and literally it’s like nothing has changed. Phil immediately showing off the baby skeletons because he knows Missa will enjoy the skeletons. Phil FINALLY giving Missa the slime armor he made for him ages ago.

I won’t lie watching it live gives off major date vibes (obviously about their cubitos in rp). Phil and Missa legit did that trope of someone good at archery teaching their love interest at the exp farm. They legit shared exp as well. The fact they keep giggling so much.

Philza seeing how bad the gear Missa has literally have him 20 upgrades including giving him a full bar of exp on his backpack. Again gift giving and acts of service is clearly Philza love lanuage. LITERALLY MISSA STARED AT THE SKULL AMD NODDED QUICKLY TO HIS CHAT. The amount of avocado toast Phil keeps throwing at Missa and putting in his backpack. Gotta know his husband is eating well I guess. Philza casually saying that the “Wall is ours” to Missa.

The fact Missa immediately wanted to have a hat like Philza on his backpack then a player head of his to match his beloved husband. Earlier he tricked the translator and said “I speak weird so the translator won’t pick it up- I love you”. Casually like that sentence didn’t break all the pissa enjoyers brain for 24 hours.

Dapper casually saying “Glad to see the love birds are on the mend” about them. Literally one of us. Iconic king. THE FACT Philza while talking about Tallulah said she was “Our Daughter” to Missa. Bad trying to cause drama meeting the brick wall of Missa adoration. Aka him screaming “Philza the best!!!!”. The fact they both tried to go offline the same but Missa felt bad and had to said bye to everyone. The fact Missa went offline right next to the house.

WE WERE FEED. PISSA NATION STAYS WINNING! And we are gonna continue to get food. As Missa promised to try to stream four times a week. So maybe maybe….second gay Qsmp wedding-

ik some people dont like considering the fact that minecraft is a game into their interpretation of lore but tbh i really like lore that acknowledges that their lives adhere to video game mechanics and thats a part of why i like that tubbo doesnt shy away from including his knowledge of game mechanics in his roleplay. it adds to his character and story and tubbos knowledge of how the game works directly translates to his character being extremely intelligent and skilled

and i think a big part of why people dont like acknowledging that tubbo isnt fail rping by using the game mechanics to his advantage is because they dont like admitting that hes intelligent. they dont like him being more than just the dumb bee boy. they dont like him being able to get a one up on their faves even though their faves are using game mechanics to their advantage too, hell because their faves are doing it too.

using game mechanics to his advantage isnt fail rp. being intelligent and skilled in his own way isnt fail rp. the admins keep him in line when they need to and when they dont they let him do his thing because no matter how many people get upset about it, tubbos knowledge of how the game works is fun and its cool to see.

a good roleplayer knows how to use the medium to their advantage. tubbo isnt failing rp or breaking the no metagaming rules in any way that actually ruins anyone elses enjoyment. hes just using the medium to his advantage. minecraft is a video game and there are literally plot points that depend on acknowledging that. tubbo is intelligent and on top of that he is a good roleplayer and its fine that he roleplays in a different way than some other ccs do because that makes him interesting. if you dont like it then theres a very easy solution: dont watch him

people always treat richas like he's like. idk they always assign him like an adult level of agency and assume he's being an asshole at all times or that he's not allowed to feel big emotions and make mistakes like a kid (or even, consider, like an adult) and it always annoys me but especially when people make comparisons with other eggs like. it very much reminds me of how people treated bobby and how because he roughhoused more he was seen as aggressive and not as sweet as other eggs when that wasn't the case. idk where im going with this i just see people throw the craziest expectations at a literally minecraft egg or act like the admin makes bad rp choices when they're incredibly talented at what they do and i think richas is a super interesting character and very much shows a certain kind of childhood experience. just bc he's not soft and sweet 100% of the time doesn't mean he isn't incredibly kind and regardless kids aren't always nice and they don't owe you perfect behavior that's a actually crazy way to talk about a fictional child i hope you don't talk like that about real children

can I just say as the resident idiot with an acting degree how absolutely refreshing it is to see cc's act their asses off and care so much about delivering a good story and experience to their viewers?? The Brazilians especially lately have been doing such incredible and earnest performances that you can tell they're 100% into. Pac for one, his reaction to the Q!Cellbit news was so goddamn real and a perfect portrayal of his character, of everything he's been hiding from having built up around him all of a sudden. (Don't think I've forgotten about the Lucie reaction in OPQ, I've been thinking about it for weeks.)

And Cellbit and Bagi, god, you can see the acting chemistry they've built with eachother after rping for years, and it translates SO well into their interactions as their characters. Even in such a medium as minecraft everything is so well thought out, every movement of the cubito and spoken word has me hooked to the screen, and it's a testament to their skills as performers.

Heck, even people who haven't had a massive hand in RP, like Tina for example (though I don't know a whole lot about her as a cc) did such a good job at communicating her thoughts to q!Bagi through her real life frustrations at the server lagging and channeling that into her character's worries about getting to know her. It's moments like that which solidify why I love Minecraft as a medium for RP so much, it gets so many people to tell stories in an effective way and immerse an audience in such a way that the peculiarity of the setting, literal cubes, simply serves as part of their stage and world building.

I love analysing ppl's acting sm, qsmp is keeping me FED.

Jaiden is missing, Etoiles is stuck in the nether, Pac was kidnapped, Mike is going to have to deal with the loss of his best friend and soulmate while still reeling from what happened to Walter Bob, all of the work Slimecicle has done to heal after the death of his daughter is about to come crumbling down because the code is impersonating her, BBH is spiralling big time after missing out on his opportunity to bring Skeppy to the island, Cellbit worked tirelessly for a month on investigating only to have been manipulated the entire time by the federation, Max just continues to spiral after the losses of Trumpet and Sofia and now feels like nearly everyone on the island is betraying him by working with the federation, all of richas’ parents are having to try and help richas through the terrifying ordeal he’s currently going through with Romero Richas, Foolish is still desperately trying to find Mr Mustard and probably being played by the federation, Dapper is traumatised by being kidnapped by elquackity, Pomme is highly anxious all the time because she’s afraid of her loved ones dying to the point where if anyone takes even the littlest bits of damage she’s throwing health pots on them and I’m probably missing stuff too like damn I thought Minecraft rp would just be all silly and lighthearted, I’m exhausted

WIBTA for ghosting someone in RP?

This is a very chronically online problem, I'm aware, but I could use Tumblr's input. This is kinda long, so tl;Dr at the end.

So I (ftm), Z (nb), and O (f) (ages unimportant, but we're all adults) have a server for a shared fandom of ours. There are other people on the server too, but they're relatively unimportant to the problem.

One of the major channels to note was an rp channel. Things started off peachy keen! Everyone was having a grand old time! However, little problems started to pop up. O began introducing some ocs to the rp group chat, which, while outlandish for the setting (her ocs were ghosts from 1500's Minecraft Germany or whatever? I'm still not entirely clear since she's bad at continuity). And while I'm not against more out there ocs, the issue was how she used them, constantly trying to solve problems instantly. They felt more like MacGuffin's than characters. But whatever, she's our friend so we didn't really care.

Then, the racism incident happened.

It's a cool name, but sorta makes it sound more important than it was. Basically O had "monster form" at the end of each of her characters names, since apparently they had human forms too. Well, in an argument, a character referred to the group of ocs as monsters (since, how else would you refer to all of em at once?), and in one of her ocs replies they said smth like "oh btw thanks for the racist remark".

IMMEDIATELY in the ooc chat, Z and I both go "hey man, we're not playing the racism game", which... caused O to leave the server temporarily. Fun.

The relevance of the racism incident is to show why we can't just talk to her ooc about the upcoming issues.

((Very offhandedly she also keeps trying to pressure Z specifically into rping? Even though Z has made it clear many times this month that they are busy with the holidays??))

Anyways, time passes and O keeps wanting to tack on useless shit to her characters (both canon and ocs) for literally no reason. From "Bruno esk powers" to "shapeshifting genitals", it just felt like feature creep.

Eventually this comes to a head when she asks if her 32 year old character could be a WWII veteran.

You know. In the text chat based rp where characters use hashtags and emotes and talk about Twitter.

After a small back and forth between Z and O in the ooc chat, Z just kinda, gave up. Part of the reason they made the server was to transfer their previous rp writings to a server they own, so they don't have to worry about it getting deleted. (Before anyone assumes Z is just being strict, trust me. Z had been very accommodating with letting me and O make inputs and have our characters make an impact. This wasn't an issue of O's lack of control, but rather lack of care about the setting.)

Z admitted in a group chat with just me and their partner that they basically are just going to give up on their previous rp, and just let O do whatever she wants.

This really, and I mean REALLY, ticked me off.

Now, I will not start a ruckus about it on the server itself since I know Z hates confrontation, but now I've just settled on to give O the cold shoulder in rp, not replying to her ocs, barely interacting with her canon characters, etc.

I feel like in character I have a valid reason to ignore her (her ocs made one of my ocs upset, and my other characters are upset for him), but I can't tell if this would be too mean?

ALSO quick little note I forgot to mention above, but it's basically just the three of us in the rp chat, so with Z busy for the holidays, I'm the only other person who O would be able to rp with, if that impacts the vote.

TL;DR - Someone in a rp server is being a right ass and we cannot talk to her about it without potentially starting a huge fight, now I want to ignore her in rp. WIBTA

tbh i'm irritated at the posts i'm seeing about how some creators are being too ungrateful for what the qsmp is offering them. i've seen people say that tubbo shouldn't be complaining/talking about wanting the create mod back and not wanting to play because the server is mainly about communicating with people in multiple languages. the thing is, he does hang out with a lot of people on the server everyday but after doing that he has literally nothing else to do because the main thing he wanted to do, AKA start engineering the town of fobo, is locked for him due to the create mod being disabled. i rlly don't think he's complaining about the qsmp admins, he's expressing how it's frustrating that the main thing he wanted to do (build up town of fobo) is locked rn and thus he feels useless. if he had the create mod he would actually be creating more rp for people by getting people to move in. and not to mention, i don't think the create mod should be disabled fully, i think if the admins wanted slower progression this time around they should have just only enabled base create mods and nerfed how strong they are. not many cc's even use create so putting it behind a paywall just ruins a few cc's (ex. aypierre, tubbo) experiences playing on the qsmp. i love the qsmp and i actually rlly like this restart and how it's starting super slow but i don't see the point in disabling create fully and i wish people would understand why some people wouldn't want to play as much with create gone. it's not an insult to the qsmp, it's just a difference in minecraft playing style and i don't think that should be an issue. if a creator doesn't want to play until they have something to do on the server, they're allowed to do that.

Am I gonna be eaten alive if I say this event is like. Fine? And really could be fun if they just played into it?

Like the teams are a little unbalanced but literally not that bad they're just balanced to different needs and skillsets. Yes Red doesn't have a lot of active players but we saw yesterday that Etoiles kept Green super high on points the entire time as the Only Green online. It's super possible for them to win days if they put the effort in and I wish they hadn't given up on the first day lmao

The rules have been solidly established, they maybe need to clear up some gentlemen's rules (burning items, spawn killing etc) but like.. It's a team Vs team game. They're supposed to have conflict it's fine that's the point, and it's not like the items and bases will matter permanently once they get back to the main island (probably lol). And all teams have the opportunity to come back IF they put the effort in. It's a day by day victory. They can pull back days.

I do have an issue with the timing of the event bc as people have said it interrupts the lore a lot but like. No matter when they did it out would interrupt Something qsmp is extremely lore-active. And also. Two weeks is literally not that long. Maybe I'm just old and time passes really fast for me but two weeks is like Nothing. And it's variety! Stuff needs to happen to keep things fresh or ppl stop playing that's how Minecraft RP servers work!

Also I don't think the whole two weeks will be the same, we haven't seen the Events yet, and players are already talking in lore terms about the cursed team thing so something will happen with that I'm sure.

Anyway this is the only time I'll talk about it but I wish ppl didn't immediately start complaining day 1. It's a fun bit of variety on the server and an interesting twist to people's actions and relationships on the island. Have fun with it cause it is what it is

I have so many feelings about the Moon Crash. Like, narrative-wise, it hits me so hard, man. Joe told Cleo to leave them, yes, but the sign... It's intriguing to imagine it as a test that Cleo failed.

I mean, Joe's been there from the beginning. It's reasonable to assume that they've seen many people leave and it's reasonable to assume that there could be a insecurity (/rp) there about it. With the context that Hermitcraft is real life, Joe might be scared (at least subconsciously, no matter how irrational) that people are leaving because of them, that— despite no evidence —there're 'not enough' for people to stay... which leads to Joe being reckless and using the Moon Crash to test to see if Cleo would leave them in a clearly dangerous situation.

And they failed, not because Cleo didn't understand it was dangerous, but because Cleo trusts Joe. Cleo trusted Joe, even when they didn't want to, even when Joe really just wanted their support.

In Hermittopia, did Joe even know they could go back if things got dangerous, that Cleo exiled them— yes, because they were being a little dumb and self-destructive (because who hands out resumés to clearly dangerous people and steals a horn license without being a little self-destructive?) but also —for the bit? Like, narrative-wise, Cleo's actions could be interpreted as both a messed up joke and an urge for Joe to take some time to think.

Joe, as a character, is as kind as they are reckless, especially with their own health, and as a character, liberties can be taken with how their actions and behaviour reflect on themself in a 'Minecraft is real life' context. Yes, Hermits helping Hermits is very sweet, but when you literally live in a trash can that you even struggled to find a place for because nobody left room for you after you spent so long helping someone, only for them to thank you and leave everything behind like it was a stepping stone, after your team had been forgotten and left out of closing ceremony without a second thought until it was too late... and that whole permit thing with Doc...

I have a lot of feelings and thoughts, as you can see.

Narratively speaking, Joe gives and gives and gives— They give so much and seem content to fade into the background, be taken for granted (well, that's exaggerating, but when you're always pushing yourself to give so much, it's normal to feel bitter, even when you're the one pushing yourself to do it). It's ok to want attention, of course. Joe thrives on attention, but without proper communication, it can fall flat quickly. Humiliation can help one learn, and as a content creator, Joe knows what they signed up for. As a character? That's free game.

A decade is a long time, after all, and it's certainly enough time for miscommunication to happen. In a game, it's not so bad, but when that game is real life?

Well, that's the fun of storytelling!

Hi, it's me, Loyal.

I just want to say first and foremost, I really do love (parts of) the fandom and I'm not going anywhere.

I will, however, not be around as much. One, I'm about to enter an all day intensive treatment plan so I'll literally just be on in the evening. Two, as much as I'm going to keep writing and creating, I have no intention of interacting publicly with fandom as much as I have.

I can't. It's actually fucking insane that it's gotten to this point. I made tribute post and because I used lyrics from Dream's song, I got harassed. The people doing this, acting like this, thinking this way are insane.

So in case it's not clear: Based on my personal lived experience and some information that's come to light, I still enjoy Dream's content. You can approach me personally, off anon, if you want to know my reasoning. If you dislike me for this, that's fine. But I'm done trying to walk this fine line just so I don't get people threatening me, my kids, and my pets. Just so people stop sending me the city I live in, so they stop digging up twelve year old tweets, so they stop calling me slurs and suicide baiting me.

That's absolutely insane. It's horrible. It's disgusting and I was honestly just sitting here, taking it, because I'm terrified of upsetting people and losing friends if I say 'yeah, I'm excited for a new manhunt and I also this song helped me and my kids process my grief'. And the worst part is, it's not an unfounded fear. People have done the most vile shit to me. People I thought were friends jumped on me instead of those harassing me.

I just want to post about Techno and c!Rivals duo and not worry about whether or not this post is going to get me hate. I don't want to worry about how random discord servers are talking about me.

Because that's fucking batshit. Not the worrying, but what these people are doing and I'm tired of letting this effect me. I have enough going on in my personal life. My partner of 15 years almost died. We almost lost our house. I should be able to come online and post about the silly minecraft guys I like and their RP and lore without censoring myself out of fear of literally being doxxed and cyber stalked. I should be able to talk about the racism that effects me without being afraid people will make it about cc drama or calling me slurs or erasing my identity as an Ojibwe person.

The people doing this are the problem. It hurts that so many people are part of this, it really does. But I can't keep letting it get to me. I've always done my best to be kind. I haven't been perfect, especially not lately, because all this hate and stress has gotten to me. I've lashed out. I shouldn't have.

And I shouldn't have had to deal with all that shit in the first place. I hope no one else does. It's terrifying and draining and I'm done.

So I intend to post the things I enjoy, I intend to reblog my friends' art, write the Emerald duo and Rivals duo fics I want to. I want to post about the Syndicate and the new manhunt when it comes out. That's what I'm going to do.

Asks are staying off for the moment because people are too happy to make burner blogs but I'll probably turn them back on at some point as I love answering lore and headcanon questions and, again, it's fucked up I can't enjoy an aspect of the site and fandom because people can't just leave me alone.

To those people: Get help. You're harassing someone because you think they deserve it and that's the most fucked up thing.

To everyone else: So so many of you have been amazing. You've been supportive, you've been kind. That kindness and support speaks volumes and I love you all. I genuinely love you. Dreblr, you've been here for me for over a year at this point and I cannot thank you enough. You are the best part of fandom as far as I'm concerned. And to Dtblr, y'all have come to support me countless times and that means the world to me, it really does. As for all my fellow Rivals duo fans, you people are worth your weight in gold for the joy you bring. A special shout-out to @vpofcookies because you've been here since the beginning, practically, and I love you. There's more but you know who you are.

Anyway, I've been carrying this for awhile and I'm tired. I'm no longer going to give any amount of thought to the people determined to drag me down and harass me constantly.

My best advice is stop focusing on the things and people you hate and instead focus on what you love. That's what I plan to do, from here on out.
