I can’t tell you how exciting this is.  My first Real Leather Book!  A fic I’ve had in mind to bind since I first encountered the concept!  And it came out good!
So first, a little about the fic.  It’s The Seduction of the Desert Prince by @killabeezish (killa), elynross, and Rachael Sabotini.  It’s a Highlander the Series Duncan Macleod/Methos AU set in the 18th century Arabian desert.  It was first posted in 1997 and finally completed SIXTEEN YEARS LATER in 2014.
I originally read this fic back in the day, when it was unfinished, and was thrilled to discover a few years ago that it had not only been reposted to AO3 but had been completed at long last.  So consider this binding a bit of a love letter to three incredibly influential authors of one of my favorite old fandoms and a thanks for doing the unheard of and returning to actually finish an old WIP.
So, first let’s talk typesetting.
(So much detail under here you guys.)
This was a really fun project because the text was easy to set and I got to go nuts with illustration.  One of the questions about binding this fic is that the fic includes photo manips of the characters along with the story, made by Killa back in the day.  There’s something incredibly nostalgic about these images for me, taking me back to late 90s fandom.  But they’re also pretty low res and small by today’s standards.  And I had no intention of printing any of this book in color, since I don’t have a color printer.  Instead of leaving out these historical fandom artifacts, I decided to convert them to black and white.  Originally I wanted to try to convert them to black and white sketches but that turned out to be really easier said than done.  Because of the nature of the images, there really wasn’t enough detail for most apps to work.  So I did the best I could with each image.
In addition to the photo manips I found a lot of other black and white images appropriate to the setting and included them.  There are So Many illustrations in this book, guys.  IDK why, it felt right.
Then the binding.  I wanted it to feel appropriate to the time period, as much as possible.  I offered the author’s copies but they declined (at least the two who replied.)  Which meant I could afford to try out leather.  I did it a bit on the cheap, buying a piece with unknown provenance, unknown processing.  And it was a LEARNING experience, but, ended up being not that big a deal.
Sewing with traditional cords was more challenging, using a jury rigged sewing frame.  I used jute twine rather than expensive linen but it seems to have worked okay.  I knew it was okay if it felt a bit handmade and rugged, because I was going for old-fashioned. The boards are tied on with the cords, and I was afraid the cords would be really prominent under the leather but once I put it in the press to dry, it came out super smooth! The book is rounded and backed, which went better than ever before thanks to tips from other Renegade Bindery folks.  The headbands are hand-sewed with embroidery thread.
I slightly skived the leather with my new knife.  The only problem I had with the leather was really that I cut too much off the edge and had to glue a strip back on to avoid a gap when I pasted down the endpages.
Basically, if you want to try working with leather, my advice is don’t be scared, go slow, watch DAS’s Flexible Leather Binding series a few times, but honestly it’s not that scary.
Speaking of endpages, I made them from silk fabric that I had.  Blame @spockandawe for saying the words “fabric endpages” in my hearing.  And I didn’t have appropriate endpaper for this project, but I do have lots of fabric stash.  I couldn’t find any good online tutorial for them, so I totally made up the process, basically doing it just like made endpapers, with the fabric pasted to paper on one half.  I ended up keeping my waste paper and gluing that down as well to potentially combat the pull of leather, since I didn’t do any prepping of the boards with paper for that purpose.
The title is just printed on text paper and pasted on. I made the indent by cutting it out of one 1mm thick board and gluing that to another 1mm board. Then just covered the whole thing with leather.
Oh and one other new technique is that I used an electric sander to make the top and bottom edges smooth (mostly).  I wanted the curved edge to have the stairstep signatures, but to make it feel more cohesive I took a sander to my raw edges otherwise.  I used paper in grits of 100, 220, and 600 until the edges were silky smooth.  I will say, however, that once I started fanning the pages to take pictures little bits of paper popped out which you can see in some of the photos.  But from now on I’m best friends with my palm sander.  No guillotine or chisel trimming for me!  (Thank you to Cactus who talked me through this at Havencon.)
Note: I will always make a copy for any author who asks. Though if you want leather I might ask for supply money.

Book review - Horse People: Scenes From the Riding Life by Michael Korda
This is the fifth time I’ve read this book. It’s my favorite horse book of all time. You’ve got to read. Even if you don’t like to read, just force yourself to with this one. You won't be sorry.
The author, Michael Korda, is the former editor of Simon & Schuster. He’s very well-known in the literary world, but he also somewhat inadvertently got sucked into the horse world to the point of no return.
Michael grew up in England, and his father had him ride as a kid. He became somewhat wary of horses after several pony terrorists did things like dragging him into a pond and refusing to come out, forcing Michael to be rescued by soldiers. However, after moving to New York City, as an adult he took up lessons again as a way to bond with his son. He decided he liked horses, and eventually even bought one which he kept in Manhattan’s now-closed Claremont Riding Academy, but he still didn't consider himself a horse person. That changed when he met Margaret. The two had an affair at the academy, divorced each of their respective spouses at the time, and married each other the same year. I’m not condoning how their relationship  started, but Michael clearly loved her beyond words, and they stayed together until Margaret’s death in 2017.
Margaret’s passion for horses was far greater than Michael’s, and unlike him, she was an avid competitor. Because of her, Michael got far more involved with horses than he ever expected to, as one horse became two, two became four, four became six, you get the picture. They went from boarding at Claremont, to increasingly fancy places in Westchester and Duchess county, to eventually buying their own farm. They attended various competitions and foxhunts, horse themed- vacations, and were ever on the hunt for Margaret’s next top competition horse, meeting hundreds of equestrians along the way.
What makes this book so funny even though it’s not supposed to be comedey is the way Michael, often in complete disbelief, describes the personalities and eccentricities of these old-money equestrians. I’ve mentioned before that the people who live here are just another level of nuts, and the equestrians are no exception to the rule. Sometimes it’s in a good way, and sometimes it’s in a bad way. Some of these people, like Arno Mares from the international riding camp, I’ve met, and Michael’s descriptions are spot-on. Here’s a description of Murray Ramson, an Arabian owner at Claremont and one of Michael’s first horse friends. This guy’s wife divorced him not because he was having a years-long open affair and kept a mistress in another apartment, but because she discovered he had not one but two subscriptions to Arabian Horse World Magazine, one for each residence.
Short, florid, with a silver mustache and hair and slightly protuberant eyes, he looked like Esky, the debonair little man-about-town and boulevardier who for years was the trademark of Esquire Magazine before it turned literary and stopped featuring improbably long-legged pin-ups by Alberto Vargas and recipes for a perfect Manhattan. Murray, though married and the father of two boys, did in fact see himself very much in the image of a man-about-town and boulevardier - at the sight of a pretty girl he would stroke his mustache and chortle like a villain. He drove a dashing vintage Jaguar E-Type 2+2, dressed in English suits or tweed sports jackets with tailored “cavalry twills,” and in general presented himself straight from the pages of a man’s magazine of the late 1940s or early 1950s. Murray’s horse was a handsome chestnut Arabian gelding named Fabab, with a broad white blaze, white stockings, and a splendid, flowing mane and tail.
Arabs are among the prettiest of all breeds of horses, though because of their relatively small size and the fact that they’re not generally used for foxhunting., three-day eventing. flat-racing, or steeple chasing, they have never had a lot of respect in the English-speaking horse-word. Perhaps this is because Napoleon is also portrayed riding one. Though they are in fact tough little horses, and perform spectacularly in long-distance endurance riding in the desert or mountains, they tend to be looked upon with the kind of disdain that owners of sporting or working dogs have for breeds that are merely flashy or showy. Perhaps because of this, Arabian horses and their owners form a small, inbred world of their own, in which pedigree and appearance (of the horse, at least) count for a lot. Although a lot of the best breeding has been done outside of the Arab world for many years - in California and Poland, particularly, Arabs still carry with them a kind of romantic desert-sheik appeal for a lot of people, of whom Murray was one.
Murray lavished on “Fabby-baby,” as he called Fabab in his tenderer moments, the kind of care and attention some thought he might better have directed toward his long-suffering wife Elaine. Fabab had his own set of Mason-Pearson hairbrushes for the grooming of his mane and tail, and unlike many of the private owners at Claremont, Murray mostly took care of Fabab himself, rubbing and brushing the horse until his coat gleamed like burnished copper and his tiny hooves twinkled. In the afternoons Elaine, who was equally devoted to Fabab, would often come over and ride him in the ring - Fabab was not entirely reliable about such things as manhole covers, city buses, and umbrellas, so the trip from Claremont to the park was not thought to be safe for her on her own - then groom him all over again before he was put away for the night, wearing his own monogrammed sheet or his Baer blanket in cold weather. Fabab’s birthday was celebrated upstairs in Claremont, with - what else? - a carrot cake specially ordered for the occasion from the then-fashionable New York City Bakery of William Greenberg, Jr., and coffee, cocoa, and drinks laid out on Fabab’s tack trunk.
To say Fabab was spoiled would be putting it mildly, but he retained a certain independent spirit, occasionally throwing Murray in the park and on one memorable occasion breaking both of Murray’s wrists. Murray was nothing if not a dedicated rider - whatever the weather, he was in the park on Fabab every morning by seven.
This book is unique compared to others about horses because Michael never becomes a full-blown horse aficionado, even though he remains fond of them and his wife’s life and by default his own centers around them. His perspective is interesting because he is like the utmost neutral observer, reporting on chaos accurately but never giving an overly strong opinion of his own. He is therefore more objective than a true horse person, and doesn't have cognitive dissonance a lot of the equestrians around here do when it comes to problematic horse keeping practices and class divides. He neither focuses on nor neglects these issues, but always describes things to a T in way that is unironically funny. Horse People is quite underrated.

Kollam
Kollam, formerly known as Quilon, is a district in the southern part of Kerala, 70 kilometres north of Thiruvananthapuram, the state's capital. The Arabian Sea borders it on the west, Tamil Nadu on the east, the districts of Alapuzha and Pathanamthitta on the north, and Thiruvananthapuram on the south. One of India's most populated districts, Kollam has a population of approximately 2.6 million. The district's capital, Kollam City, serves as the headquarters of the district government. The district is divided administratively into two revenue divisions, Kollam and Punalur, each of which has three taluks. Like the rest of Kerala, Quilon has a moderate climate with a generally sunny climate that reaches its peak in heat from April to May. June through September are the monsoon months.
In ancient India, the port of Kollam served as a major hub for the export of spices. Today, it is renowned for its many diverse modern businesses, including fisheries, cashew nut processing, and research. As a result of its connection to the renowned Ashtamudi Lake, it serves as the entrance to Kerala's gorgeous backwaters.
THANGASSERY LIGHT HOUSE - The Tangasseri Lighthouse, also known as the Thangassery Lighthouse, is located in the Indian state of Kerala's Kollam city. The Cochin Directorate General of Lighthouses and Lightships is responsible for maintaining one of the two lighthouses in the Kollam Metropolitan Area. The cylindrical lighthouse tower, which has been in use since 1902 and is 41 metres tall and painted with white and red oblique bands, is the second-tallest lighthouse on Kerala's coast. One of the most popular lighthouses in Kerala is Tangasseri Lighthouse. Prior the building of the lighthouse, the British East India company had constructed a tower with an oil lamp. The current Tangasseri Lighthouse, which was finished in 1902, had tower cracks by 1930, necessitating the installation of jacketing brickwork. In 1932, 1940, 1962, 1967, 1990, and 1994, the light source underwent modifications. The Tangasseri Lighthouse installed an elevator for guests in 2016.

KOLLAM BEACH - Kollam Beach, commonly referred to as Mahatma Gandhi Beach, is a beach located in Kollam city, Kerala, India. The first "Beach Wedding Destination" in Kerala is Kollam Beach. The seashore is home to the Mahatma Gandhi Park, an international quality park that was opened on January 1, 1961 by Zakir Hussain, India's vice president at the time. One of the few beaches in Kerala with a lifeguard station is Kollam Beach. Since 2005, there have been lifeguards posted at the beach. One of the three beaches in south Kerala having lifeguard outposts as of July 2015 is Kovalam. For the international cashew commerce on the Malabar Coast of the Arabian Sea, Kollam Port is one of the most historic and significant ports. Kollam Port, which was behind Cochin Port in terms of size as of 2010, was Kerala's second-largest port. Before Independence, the Portuguese, Dutch, and English all had a particular fondness for Kollam as a place to live. The Tangasseri Breakwater, which extends roughly 1.1 miles (1.8 km) south-southeast of Tangasseri Point, shields the port from the elements. Kollam Beach is one of the top tourist destinations in Kerala because of its picturesque setting and backwaters.

JATAYU EARTH'S CENTER - The Jatayu Earth Center, commonly referred to as Jatayu Nature Park or Jatayu Rock, is a park and tourist destination in Kerala's Kollam district. 350 metres above the average sea level is where it is located. The largest bird sculpture in the world, which is of the Jatayu, is located in Jatayu Nature Park. The sculpture is tall. Rajiv Anchal created the sculpture. The first public-private tourism development in Kerala under the BOT model was this rock-themed nature park. The park is roughly 46 km (miles) from Thiruvananthapuram, the state capital, and 38 km (miles) from Kollam, the metropolis. On August 17, 2018, it was finished and made public.

4 au 10 juillet 2022
Monday morning we enjoyed a surprise, brief shower. We are now on water rationing here, so every drop of rain mother nature sends us will keep the plants alive that much longer. The house is so quiet now that Lucien has returned to Paris and that Daniel has left for Spain.
Tumblr media
Quinta meeting Monday evening, which is always nice. Benedict and Natalie are both there, so it was fun to see so many in the same place. Fourth of July greetings came in from friends throughout the day.
Tuesday more scans of left elbow didn’t go as planned. It turns out only a few places can do an MRI so I made an appointment for next week.
Saturday morning I went up and used the blower around the pool area to do a final primping before the big party. I enjoyed and evening at home. I could hear the music and see the strobe lights from the party. I headed up around 23.30. It was all very civilised. There were lots of things I would have done differently had I been the event coordinator; however, all was going very well. I was surprised how few people had a problem navigating the stepping stones and the small shrubs between the dance floor over the pool and the dessert area in the bungalow.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I didn’t get to bed until 05.30, just as the sun was coming up. The croissants were already out so I helped myself to one on the way down the hill. I was up by 10.00 to clean the house and prepare for the barbecue lunch with Ilze and Daniela. They brought a friend and it was a very nice afternoon. Two more pools were brought and we all were in the pools at some point in the afternoon. Ilze was persuaded to barbecue salmon and she did a fabulous job.

Fascinating and Fun Trip to Oman with Family
Recently, together with my wife, Rose Lee and my son, Mariya Lee, I took part in the exquisite tour of Oman, which left us amazed and fascinated by its beauty and culture. The capital city of Muscat, Oman, spans various hills and valleys and has a glorious past, which is said to be much older than other Arab countries. It inspired our Italian family to discover Oman with a prominent tour operator in Oman - Smart Oman Tour. With them we booked the Oman tour with a seven-day itinerary, which turned out to be cheap.
Day One: When we landed at Muscat International Airport. In the general arrival hall, our family of three was met by a friendly and efficient driver from Mountain Valley Holiday LLC. After that, we took advantage of a luxury trip to one of the best hotels in Muscat (according to our preference) to spend a night.
Sur
Day two: On a beautiful morning on Feb 28, we started the Amouage factory tour, a beautiful luxury perfume house in Oman. For Mariya Lee, it was an exhilarating experience to enjoy a safe and guided trip through the mountains.
First stop: Nakhal hot springs
Second stop: the spectacular Wadi Bani Auf
Third stop: the picturesque mountain village of Bilad Sayt
Fourth stop: Wadi Gul and Wadi Nakhar
Last stop: Grand Canyon of Oman - Jabel Shams
Our second day ended with a night at Jabel Shams Resort.
Day three:
After having breakfast on the morning of March 2nd, we started the tour from Nizwa to the pretty village of Bikrat Al Mauz, located at the foot of Jebel Akhdar. With an expert guide from Smart Oman Tour-Mr. Ibrahim, we strolled through the old streets of abandoned houses made of mud and thatch, exploring the pretty village of Birkat Al Mauz and the rose, fruit and nut plantations. Our guide, Mr. Ibrahim, was very nice and provided good information about Omani culture, tradition and history. From him we learned that the Arabic meaning of Jabel Akhdar is Green Mountain, also known as Sayq Plateau. Then, while walking, we explored the hanging gardens of Al Aqur village and witnessed Wadi Bani Habib, a charming abandoned village perched on a wadi. Day 3 of our Oman tour was a great escape into the cool, crisp mountain air.
Day four:
It was the morning of March 3 when we were guided and guided by the kind, helpful and friendly Mr. Ibrahim to visit the mighty Nizwa Fort, which is one of the most impressive forts in Oman, as well as to explore a traditional souk, where my wife had a great time. Later we visited Jabrin Castle built in the 17th century and witnessed its magnificent plasterwork, carved doors and painted wooden beams of the ceilings, After our trip to Oman; Continuation to Bahla, one of the oldest cities in Oman and well known for its pottery, where only a photo stop was planned. We then continued to explore:
Ruins of ancient Tanouf
The oldest villages: Al Hamra and Misfah
We concluded the fourth day with a night at the Al Diyar hotel in Nizwa.
Fifth day:
On the morning of March 5th, after breakfast, the tour started from Nizwa to Sinaw village market and then continued to Munsifa. Next, we strolled through the remains of the ancient village of Ibra, then walked to Wahiba Sands with a knowledgeable and friendly guide. At Wahiba Sands, we witnessed a large ocean of sand, which was tempting. It was exciting for us to know that the sands are home to Bedouins, nomadic tribes. We enjoyed an exhilarating, guided trip through the dunes and enjoyed incredible sunset photo opportunities among the spectacular dunes of Wahiba Sands.
It was a great way to end our fifth day with a night at Wahiba Sands in the Arabian Oryx camp.
Sixth day:
On the morning of March 6, after breakfast, we left behind the golden sand dunes and headed towards a Bedouin family. Then our next stop was Wadi Bani Khalid which is a beautiful oasis in the middle of the barren and arid mountains. Mariya Lee and I enjoyed a refreshing swim in one of Wadi Bani Khalid's pools with clear, deep blue waters, while Rose Lee loved watching us have fun without getting wet. We were then taken to the fishing town of Sur, recently famous for Oman's dhows. The guide informed us that the construction of Dhow in Sur dates back centuries and is closely linked to the maritime heritage of Oman We had an early dinner to visit the turtle sanctuary in Ras Al Jinz to see the green turtles, which gave us a blessed feeling.
Our sixth day ended with a night in a hotel in Ras Al Hadd.
Seventh day:
Jabel Akhdar
Our last morning of March 7 started after breakfast to visit the ruins of the tomb of Bibi Miriam in the village of Qalhat on the coastal road from Muscat. We then entered Wadi Tiwi, which was beautiful with blue-green pools of water surrounded by palm trees. It was a great experience as I enjoyed a walk through Wadi Shabwadi between the cliffs and enjoyed a refreshing swim in one of the pools. The path of the wadi is dotted with basins, waterfalls, green plantations of lemons, bananas and dates. Our journey included dynamic destinations such as:
Bimah Sinkhole - spectacular limestone crater with blue-green water
Pinna Beach
Wadi Arbayeen-ha deep and refreshing pools of water amid dates [alms
Hail Al Ghaf - Famous for mango plantations.
We were then driven to Muscat via Dubai, where the tour itinerary ended with an overnight stay at Muscat hotel (depending on our preference). This marked a wonderful Oman tour with my family.
Conclusion:
Our vacation trip to Oman was a wonderful experience, which was further enhanced by the professionalism and expert advice of the Mountain Valley Holiday LLC team. They helped us every step of the way in Oman making it fun and enjoyable to the fullest. With their multilingual guides, it was a comfortable and stress-free tour of Oman for our Chinese family. Moment | Jafar
"It all began with a lamp and a fantasy..."
The Arabian palace was humungous. It could take atleast 200 guests to stay in. The architecture was out of this world; one of a kind. The food was magnificent. The chefs worked day and night and could make anything you wanted them to at any time. The soldiers were the best of the best. They could stop anyone who tried to come in and intrude. Except for Aladdin, he was the smartest streetrat ever.
After the hoodlum created himself a fiasco by taking the magic lamp and turning himself into a prince to lure Jasmine, Jafar had to do some things that people wouldn't be proud of. Things like taking the lamp and locking Jasmine and her father away. And hypnosising the entire palace staff to do whatever he says. And make a wish turning him into the most powerful man on earth at large.
Jafar had the extravagant palace all to himself. No queen by his side or anyone to talk to. Here he was thinking about his next move. He was tired of being second best.
"I'm the king of the world and yet I'm still bored," Jafar admits to himself.
Ever since he became the most powerful man on earth it's been lonely at the top. He has no one to speak to but his parrot and the genie. Not even the servants and staff he orders around because they're trapped in the sunken place. Jafar had some pleasure with Jasmine and multiple other women but nothing excited him the way that he wanted.
He had all of the money, sex, and power that he could ever wish for.
Jafar wanted someone who could read his mind inside and out. Someone who could help him take away all of his pain and let out all of his emotions into.
"You can always use another wish to fulfill your fantasies, " the blue mystical giant says.
"What should I do?" Jafar asks knowing the genie's rules.
"I can't tell you want to do. How about you make a wish. You know the words to say."
Genie wouldn't say it out loud with Jafar being his master but he missed Aladdin. He never had a friend like him. Yes, he wanted to become a prince but it was because of his love for Jasmine. He wasn't like the other master's that he had. Jafar was the worst one yet. So typical at that.
The Genie has three rules: he cannot kill anyone, he cannot make people fall in love with each other, and he cannot revive the dead.
The unwritten and unsaid rule was making your wish as specific as possible. You can only have three wishes and you don't want to waste it.
Jafar grabbed the golden lamp putting his palm against it back and forth.
"I want a melanin goddess that can give me an experience of a lifetime wear it'll be a moment but feel like eternity." He continued to rub the lamp as he thought. "Something that no one else has ever experience."
He finally let go of the magical lamp then the magic began to happen.
"Yes, master. Your wish is my command." The God-like blue Genie then folded his shackled arms creating this magical brown storm with beautiful golden specks. The wind damn near blew everything away. It was so strong and powerful.
Jafar got excited to see what would happen next. He held on the the edge of his throne as he watched his wish manifest slowly.
There were colors and different hues of browns and reds swishing around in a tornado along with sparkles. Then it ceased out of nowhere. The Genie was back in the lonely lamp where he belonged. The sidekick parrot of his flew off somewhere.
"My name is Victoria and I am here for fulfill all of your fantasies," the goddess says before him.
"She's perfect, " Jafar says in awe of her. "Gorgeous brown skin, amazing body, and that sweet sultry tone." He smirks as he gets up from his throne.
He admires her in the brown lingerie accessoried with gold jewels.
"I got a feeling that you brought me to you.." she smirked at him as she walks up the stairs to the throne. They were now inches apart from eachother.
Jafar licked his lips as he gazed into her deep brown eyes that started to turn gold. She then kissed his lips caressing his beard as he felt on her body. The world they were now in began to change into this abstract gold and red one.
His fantasy was now coming to life. The goddess was very much real. He could touch her, feel her, and he felt even more powerful.
"I wanna get inside of you," Jafar says in a lustful tone as his hands wander her body.
"You do?" The goddess says in a low sweet voice teasing him.
"I do," Jafar whispers tugging her body to his shirtless body. The goddess felt on his built physique admiring his toned muscles.
"This is your moment," she whispers back to him.
Before he knew it he was in this beautiful bedroom with brown silk sheets and golden decor.
Jafar was laid down in the bed in awe of the melanin goddess with his brown skin glistening. His abs flexed as he breathed in nervousness. There were just enough chest hairs on his body.
She then crawled her way onto the bed teasingly slow. He watched her in excitement biting his bottom lip.
"Tell me how bad you want me," Victoria says as she sits on his lap with her hands trailing his physique. He liked how her nails we done in brown and gold. Everything about her was sexy.
"I want you so bad," Jafar breathes out trailing his hand up and down her body once again.
He looked into her deep brown eyes once again watching them turn golden before she kissed him.
The room was turning into red sand. The walls were dropping right before them. There was nothing left instead of the bed.
Jafar kissed on the Victoria's neck inhaling her shea butter sent as he unveiled her robe. He hugged her body closed to his worship her like the goddess she was. He was feigning for her badly. He didn't want this to end.
His lips trailed down her cleavage as he unclipped her bra. Jafar felt a satisfaction in hearing her moan from his teasing pecks. He continued to worship her body by massaging the fall of her back.
Jafar was desperately in love with her. If he didn't want to save his last wish for something else, he would make Victoria his wife. But that's the price that he has to pay.
It's like Victoria's body was calling his name. It was saying 'I want you inside me' the more and more they went further.
The goddess stuck her tongue down his throat pinning Jafar's arms against the bed.
Usually in bed, Jafar would be the alpha but this was different. Victoria then rose up ready to ride his magic carpet. With her hands trailing down his upper body, she rose up with a smirk. Jafar so was in love that he didn't notice that she was in cuffs.
"Victoria..." Jafar moaned out softly.
The goddess thrusted her body onto his satisfying him. Jafar let out a grunt in amusement. He let himself become mesmerized by her. He let the golden specks on her eyes and the soft cries on her voice take all control of her.
Jafar loved how she let out moans as she took him in.
"Pussy so good..." he moaned out.
The goddess let out her last moan yelling his name to the fullest. She fucked his so good that he could cry Jafar hit his climax letting out his last husky grunt.
"I'm gonna—I'm gonna cum..." he breathed as he nutted in her.
Victoria then gave him one last kiss grabbing his soft beard with her hand then letting go. She smirked sliding out of him and put the rest of her lingerie on.
She then walked away leaving Jafar in the cuffs as the bed disappeared.
"Hey, where are you going?" He asked her. Victoria turned back around and smirked at him charmingly. "And why am I in cuffs?" He added.
Victoria laughed silently to herself. "Moments over." She said before strutting away in the red sand as Jafar sank deeply in it.
"Wait..." he cried out. "We can't be done yet." He fell deeper and deeper into the dark whole.
Before Jafar knew it, he was back in his lonely Palace. He already began to miss the melanin goddess.
The Genie laughed to himself in his tiny living space.
"He didn't day what kind of goddess. Gotta be more specific than that!" He cracked up.
Victoria was a jaguar melanin goddess. One that kept many men sinking into the floor after she was done with them leaving them wanting more. It was her specialty.

<-Chapter 1 Chapter 3->
Chapter 2: So Much Smiling
“You guys act like children.” Mal expressed in annoyance, with crossed arms. Hailey looked at Mal with too many sweets in her mouth. She tried to say something, but it came out as a jumbled mess with some slobber coming out of her mouth. “Ew.” Mal gagged.
Hailey eventually devoured the candy in her mouth. “I said, I’m fourteen. My actions are valid. They’re older than me.” She pointed at the two boys.
Mal rolled her eyes and looked out the window. Evie noticed her best friend and tried to help her out. “You're looking a little washed up. Let me help you.” Evie tried to brush some blush on her cheeks.
“Ew, stop,” Mal brushed her off. “I’m plotting.”
“It’s not very attractive.” Evie tried to bite into the crystal candy again.
“It’s supposed to look intimidating. Not attractive.”
At this point, the boys and Hailey were stuffing their faces with too much candy with Carlos getting brown stuff all around his mouth. Carlos had picked up some kind of thick brown thing and bit into it.
He bit into it once, and melted right there. He turned to Jay, “Oh! These! It's salty like nuts, but it's sweet like,” he thought for a few seconds, and gave up when nothing came up. “I don't know what.”
“Lemme see.” Jay asked. Carlos opened his mouth with all the chewed candy in his mouth. “Ew.” Jay snatched the candy in his hand. He ate it whole. “Mm…” Jay nodded and smiled as he ate it.
Mal started fiddling with some kind of remote control.
“Hey... guys,” Hailey got everyone’s attention. “The bridge was destroyed right?” Everyone nodded in agreement and Hailey continued with a little fear in her voice, “So how are we getting across?” Just then, Mal clicked a button on the remote control and a small wall in the front limo came down, exposing the wide ocean with nothing in front of them.
“Look!” Evie screamed. They all looked out of the front window.
“It’s a TRAP!” Carlos yelled.
Crap! Was this Auradons plan all along? Pick them off and kill them in small groups? Hailey’s heart pounded faster in her chest at the thought. She panicked and grabbed hold of whatever was closest to her, which happened to be Jay’s bicep, and squeezed her eyes shut. Carlos hugged her abdomen as Evie and Mal came close and hugged the other three.
They all started screaming things they regret they ever said or haven’t said.
“I’m sorry I made fun of your jeans, Dad!”
“I hate my mom!”
“I love you Mal!”
“I love you guys!”
Everyone braced for impact for a few seconds.
But nothing came.
“We’re… alive?” Hailey asked quietly, as she opened one eye and got her nails out of the thief’s bicep.
Evie looked out the window, and was amazed by the golden bridge that appeared, “it must be magic.” She smiled.
“Hey!” Mal got the driver’s attention, “did this button open the barrier?”
“No,” he answered without turning to her. “this one opens the magic barrier,” he held up a different remote. “That one opens my garage. And this button…” he slowly brought the divider up.
Mal turned around to the group again.
“Okay then…” said Hailey with an amused smile.
“Nasty.” Said Mal, as she tapped the remote on her knee. “I like him.” Mal paused for a moment, then looked at Evie. “Did you say you love me?”
Evie's face burned, “I-I meant you all.” Evie stuttered out. “I love you all.”
Everyone gave her a 'really?' look while Evie shifted nervously. “Sure…” Carlos said slowly.
Jay turned to the demigoddess “Did you say something about your dad's jeans?” The young thief asked Hailey.
“He’s a grown man in skinny jeans.” Hailey scoffed. Everyone laughed at the realization, making small conversations for the rest of the ride.
“Ooo.” Carlos admired the color of a random cloth he found.
Jay, with too many things under his arm, tried to snatch the cloth out of Carlos’ hand. But the young De Vil resisted, starting a tug of war between the two boys.
“Dear lord.” Mal said with exhaustion.
Carlos’ back was on the limo door when suddenly the limo stopped and Carlos went barreling through the door.
“Stop! You got everything else! Why do you want whatever this is?” Carlos yelled, but Hailey wasn’t listening, she walked around the arguing boys and took in her surroundings.
She walked out of the limo and was taken back by the brightness in the new place. The demigoddess could only say one word to describe Auradon: green. Everything looked so… clean. They had these pretty things blooming out of the trees, and had leaves on their trees. Hailey’s eyes grew hard. How selfish of them to keep this to themselves. Doesn’t matter, they’ll have the wand soon anyways. But maybe she’ll take the pretty things.
A short woman in a blue dress and a pink bow walked up to them. Mal kicked Carlos’ back telling him there were people watching.
“Just cleaning up.” Jay said with a sly smile. He murmured for Carlos to get up. The white haired boy scrambled to get up.
“Leave it where you found it,” the woman with the pink bow started. “And by that I just mean leave it.” She said, making Jay throw all the random items he was holding back into the limo.
When he turned around, his eyes caught the girl hanging on the boy in blue’s arm “Hello... foxy.” Said Jay to the girl, with a sly smile. She gave him a disgusted look and he backed off.
“Welcome to Auradon prep. I’m Fairy Godmother, headmistress.” The woman in the bow introduced herself with a warm smile.
“Fairy godmother?” Mal asked, “As in, "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo”?''
“Bibbidi-bobbidi. You know it.” The headmistress.
“Yeah, I always wondered what it felt like for Cinderella when you just appeared, out of nowhere, with that sparkly wand and warm smile.”
“Oh.” Fairy Godmother smiled again.
“And that sparkling wand.” Mal mentioned the wand once more, earning a kick to the boot from Hailey. Her way of saying “stop talking. You’re going to give us away.” Making Mal stumble a bit, which in turn Mal Side kicked Hailey’s boot.
Either she didn’t notice, Or Fairy Godmother chose to ignore what was happening  between the two girls, she decided to respond back with “That was a long time ago. And as I always say, "don't focus on the past or You'll miss the future." Mal smiled back at her.
The brunette boy in blue stepped up. “It's so good to finally meet you all. I'm Ben.” He introduced himself.
“Prince. Benjamin.” The girl hanging off his arm said “Soon to be king.” She giggled.
“You had me at prince.” Evie smiled as she stepped forward, “Evie.” She introduced herself with her always majestic voice. “My mom's a queen, which makes me a princess.”
“The evil queen has no royal status here and neither do you.” Said the female brunette.
Evie gave a small frown and stepped back next to Carlos. The young De Vil gave her a small squeeze on the shoulder.
“This is Audrey.” The Prince said with a defeated tone.
“Princess Audrey. My mother’s Aurora. I’m His girlfriend!” She leaned her head on his shoulder. “Right, Bennyboo?”
Mal’s mouth curled into a small smirk and placed her hands on Hailey’s shoulders. “And this is Hailey.” The purple haired fairy introduced her.
It took Hailey a few seconds to realize what Mal was trying to do, but when she finally understood, she went with it. “Greek Demigoddess, Hailey.” The fourteen year old corrected, “my father's Hades.” She mocked the Princess and gave her a smug smile as she put her hands on her hips.
It seemed that FairyGosmother noticed the tension and decided to step in. “Ben and Audrey are going to show you all around, and I'll see you tomorrow. The doors of wisdom are never shut.” Fairy Godmother threw her hands up suddenly making Hailey jump a little. She smiled at the five of them. Why do all of these people smile so much? Hailey wondered. “But the library hours are from 8:00 to 11:00. And as you may have heard, I have a little thing about curfews.”
“So we’ve heard.” Hailey snarked under her breath.
She waved goodbye to all of them as she made her way into the giant castle behind them. Leaving the two royals with the villain kids.
Ben gained their attention once more. “It is so, so good to finally,” The prince attempted to shake Jay’s hand, but the Arabian punched his chest as a greeting instead. “Me-meet you all.” He wheezed a little. “This is a momentous occasion,” He tried To shake Hailey’s hand but they never left her hips, she instead gave him a nod in Acknowledgment. He went to shake Mals hand, and It was the most normal so far.
He moved onto Carlos and paused. He shook his hand slowly as the two gazed into each other’s eyes for awhile. Maybe her eyes were fooling her, but to Hailey, it looked like Carlos’ cheeks had gone a little pink. “That I hope will go down in history…” he  said slowly as he shook his hand. “that chocolate?” He asked as he licked a small bit of chocolate off of his finger.
"Chocolate." Both Carlos and Hailey said under their breaths, glad to put a name to the sweet.
Back to what was going on, It seemed as if ben was lost in Carlos’ eyes. “Um…” he lost track of what he was supposed to say next, “ was I saying something?”
“Something about “a momentous occasion”. Jay reminded the Prince.
"Right." Ben gave Carlos a small smile before moving onto shake Evie's hand. The blue haired girl shook his hand eagerly. He finally came to the end of his speech “As the day our two peoples began to heal.” He. Stepped back ro Audrey and smiled at all of the VKs. Honestly, what’s up with all the smiling?
"Or the day you tell five people where the bathrooms are." Mal teased Ben, as the other snickered at the comment.
"Too much?" Ben asked.
"Just a lil'." Said Carlos, with a teasing tone. Ben gave him a sheepish smile.
“Yeah. How long did it take for you to practice that in the mirror?” Said Hailey, joining in the teasing.
It seemed the teasing was personally bothering the brunette princess, and she decided to intrude, “Hey! You're Maleficent's daughter, aren't you?” Mal raised her eyebrow at the girl, but nodded nonetheless. “I totally don’t blame you for your mother trying to kill my parents and stuff.” She said with a fake smile.
“You know, and I totally do not blame your grandparents for inviting everyone in the whole world but my mother to her. stupid. christening.” Mal said the last three words separately, with a fake smile identical to Audrey’s.
“Water under the bridge.” Audrey told her.
“Totes!” Mal agreed. They shared a forced laugh together.
The awkward tense silence fell among the group once more.
This time Ben broke it. “Okay!” He clapped his hands together. “So, how about a tour? Yeah?” He started walking to the castle before, stopping himself, turning around and looking at the VKs. “Sorry. I didn’t get any names.”
Each VK gave him their names, Hailey noted when it looked like Ben’s smile grew wider when Carlos revealed his name.
After every name, they continued on.
“Auradon prep, originally built over 300 years ago and converted into a high school by my father when he became king.” They all faced a statue of, what Hailey is assuming, King Adam. Ben clapped his hands twice, and the statue morphed into a terrifying beast.
The sudden transformation of statue startled all of the VKs, but freaked Carlos and Hailey out so bad, they both jumped into the arms of who was closest to them. Hailey landing in Evie’s arms, and Carlos in Jay’s.
“Whoa, Carlos, Hailey, It's okay.” Ben tried to calm the two down. “My father wanted his statue to morph from beast to man to remind us that anything is possible.”
“Does he shed?” Carlos asked.
“Mom won’t let him on the couch.” Ben responded with a smile.
They continued on to the tour. But the Hailey and Carlos stayed in the oldest arms.
“Carry me?” Hailey swallowed her pride, and asked Evie with a small voice.
“Fine,” Said the older blue headed girl. “But only until we get there.”
Carlos tried the same thing with Jay, but the thief dropped him immediately.
When they arrived in the castle, Hailey let herself out of Evie’s arms, and Ben gave a small summary of the room they were in.
“So you guys have a lot of magic here in Auradon? Like wands, and spells like that?” Was the first thing Mal asked when Ben finished his speech. Hailey shot Mal a look that said ‘really?’. She really isn’t being subtle about this.
“Yeah, it exists of course, but It's pretty much retired. Most of us here are just ordinary mortals.” Ben answered Mal.
“How is being royalty ordinary?” Hailey asked the question all the VKs were wondering.
“Um…” Ben started to say, when one of the kids from the band that played when they arrived, showed up at the top of the stairs. “Doug!” He called him, “Doug, come down. This is Doug,” Ben introduced him. Doug gave a small wave. “He's going to help you with your class schedules and show you the rest of the dorms. I'll see you later, okay?” Then the prince made direct eye contact with Carlos. “And If there is anything you need, feel free to…”
“Ask Doug.” His girlfriend interrupted him, and pulled him along down the long hall.
“Hi, guys. I'm Dopey's son. As in Dopey, Doc, Bashful, Happy, Grumpy, Sleepy, and... Heigh-ho.” His voice slowed when his eyes caught Evies.
“Evie. Evil queen's daughter.” She introduced herself.
“Doug.” He held out his hand.
“You already introduced yourself.” Hailey reminded him.
“Right. Um… oh yeah! Okay. So about your classes, I, uh, put in the requirements already... history of woodsmen and pirates, safety rules for the Internet, and, uh, remedial goodness 101.” Doug explained as he gave them each their schedules.
“New class?”  Was Evies guess. Doug gave her a sheepish smile.
“Come on, guys, let's go. find our dorms.” Mal said as she led the group down one hallway.
“uh, yeah, your dorms are that way, guys.” Doug pointed down the other hall.
“I knew that.”
Doug dropped the girls down in one room, and led the boys further down the hall to their room.
Mal opened the door and Hailey covered her eyes. The bedroom they’ll be staying in was pretty cramped due to the 3 beds. 2 to the sides and one in the middle. The curtains wide open letting in all the sunlight. 2 desks on one side and some kind of foam chair near one of the beds. The beds themselves had white comforters with pink pillows, and a white bed frame.
“This place is so-”
“Gross”
“Bright”
“Cringey”
“Cliché”
“Stereotypical”
“Did I mention bright?”
Hailey and Mal listed the worst things about the room.
“Hailey, get the curtain.” Said Mal.
Once both curtains were closed, Hailey and Mal let out a sigh of relief.
“Finally.” Said Hailey. Everyone let themselves drop in a bed.
Frick, this bed feels nice.
“So what’s next?” Evie asked from where she was laying.
“We get the wand.” Mal told her.
“Today?” Hailey propped herself up on her shoulders as she looked at Mal.
“Yup.” Was the last thing Mal said before she put on her plotting face again.
“Yo, where’s our luggage?”

After having a very rough life that makes her want to risk it all at the age of 12. Elaina receives a call from her older brother begging for help with his new born daughter. After watching the fiasco Ari and Aaliyah, her little sisters started in Crenshaw and knowing they needed to lay low for a long time. They head to a Freeridge California and meet a little beat up boy named Cesar. After awhile they start to rebuild the never put together family that she's always wanted but what happens when his older brother finally gets out of jail?
Show some love if you like it! I do not own on my block or any of its characters. I only own my own ocs. I also dont own the pictures. If you don't like the book don't read it and I'm always welcome to nice criticism but if your an ass you will be removed. I also dont speak spanish so I'm gonna do the best I can.
...................................................................
Driving to get to my new house in Freeridge was tiring as hell with my mija in the car. Dont get me wrong I know this is the first time we've got to spend time together in awhile but, I also know the girls hyped her up on candy and soda from the way she practically vibrating and jumping in her purple and black car seat. Fortunately she crashed from her sugar high about 40 minutes back and I would be able to carry her big head into the house.
Tapping my hand in the steering wheel, I pull through tagged up streets until I arrive at my new house in Freeridge, California. There were little trees and bushes blocking all edges of the house at the end of the street giving it a very good privacy setting. Its walls a off white concrete with beige tiles on the roof. There was a big yard big enough to store some of the cars Juju and I like to work on, a small garage and a doggie house for my dog Cerberus. As my eyes roam the house I let out the sigh that seems to have been on the tip of my tongue since I left my old home in Crenshaw.
I notice there were no lights on in the house and that I will have to get black out curtains, considering the amount of windows there were. It wont be good when I have to drink my self to sleep only to be woken up by the sun wanting to show how much holier it is than I. The houses off white cemented walls shined in the fading sunlight the light reflecting off the windows giving it a warm and cozy look thankfully along with the sun going down so is the famous unforgivable heat.
Stepping out of the car was a little more challenging than I thought it was going to be considering how my skin wanted to mend into the car seat. So, after I finally was able to surgically remove myself I was able to start walking up to the reinforced door one of the first things I noticed.
'That was probably one of Vin's ideas.' A bitter smile came at the thought....missing mi familia. I honestly don't even know where he is right now. 'I'll find you when it's safe again.' Already knowing the words were lies before they even left his mouth.
The second thing I notice was the cameras discreetly pointing at every angle surronding my house. So if a lizard crossed my yard I would know about it. I opened the door and propped it open with one of door stopper that was right next to it. Not even bothering to look further inside Going back to the car and I pull out mi hija without waking her while also grabbing whatever else we needed to spend one night in an empty house.
Quickly grabbing my silver .9mm from the glove department, I place it in my waist band of my black yoga shorts and start walking in the house and once fully inside, I put Nena and the bags down in the living room on the deep brown wooden floors before rubbing her hair. Glancing at her mixed cream skin with crazy black curly hair I secretly admire her beauty. 'She deserves this fresh start more than any of us. ' I quietly think to myself continuing to take in her peaceful sleeping face that looked so much like her fathers.
She has such an innocent face but, that's just what lures you in about her. She has such a devilish smile when you get past her angelic eyes.
Rubbing her hair once more I walk out and grab a few more bags before placing those bags around her as well. I go back and lock the door before going through her night bag and pulling out her pajamas.
Picking her up to wake her only causes her to start groaning and whining as she lazily opens her eyes and gives me a sweet soft kiss.
"We have to change your clothes before you go back to sleep Nena." I say quietly to the 3 year old.
"Tía" she said with her quiet rarely used voice it coming out soft and toddlerish. Her tired eyes trying to close despite my best efforts. God this girl could try to sleep through anything!
"You cant call me that anymore mija." I said to her softly with my soothing voice while looking into her deep amber eyes. My mother always said that I had the voice capable of putting anyone to sleep. I remember when I was 4 she told me one night that she wanted me to sing for her every night to chase away the nightmares. Unfortunately the next morning I found her overdosed in the tub covered in urine and throw up.
"Yes mama." She said starting to get a little excited but still in her sleep haze.
"I love you mama." Nena said burying her head into my shoulder. Secretly trying to go back to sleep from what I could tell by the way she started to slump into my arms.
"I love you too Nena. We have to get you changed before you go back to sleep plum."I said chuckling to the half asleep toddler before looking away and turning to my phone when I hear the gun shot notification. Clicking my phone on. I see a blaring picture of Nena and *Bang!!* another new text message. This one from the moving company. [ We will arrive Tomorrow at 7 am] Alright. Not that bad and there's really nothing I could do about that right now.
Scrolling to my other messages I see one from Abuela.
[ We are 30 minutes out. She is in a mood driving us all loco.] Chuckling when I finished reading.
'She just lost her sister, nana.' I thought to myself. Before shaking my head to get rid of the thoughts of her. Putting down Nena on the floor unconsciously bringing up old unwanted memories of before the beginning of all of this bullshit.
*Flashback 2 years ago*
Sitting here with my hands bruised, slashed, and bleeding all over the place from the street fights I've had that past week. The dark purple and yellow bruises seeming to do a puzzle the way they fit on top of each other.
Kissing my teeth and looking far out of space while throwing my head back, and letting out a small scream while standing up to let out my frustrations. Today was not a good day, but it seems like bad days are the only days I'm allowed to have anymore honestly. Turning my head around to fully take in my shitty surronding of an abandoned apartment building with dried blood on the walls, broken glass bottles everywhere, and dirty couches and mattresses. The whole place stunk of mold, anemone, and shit. A scoff escapes me.
'What am I even doing here?' I think to myself but in reality I already know why I was not home..... trying to get too fucked up to remember anything. This is not where I am supposed to be doing that though. I pry through the existing migraine to get to the depressing things I'm forced to call my thoughts. While pulling out my phone to check to see if I have recieved any messages, nope but it is 02:30.
'I should probably go home.' Although, as soon as that thought went though my head it was already gone. My mind being too filled with the existing numbness and static to absorb anymore thoughts of home.
Not now.... 'Theres no one there to return to anymore.'
Walking though the trashed old and moldy apartment building somewhere in NY blood territory if the tagged up place was anything to go by I stepped out side. Looking around I notice the tagged up neighborhood and my 2014 purple and black Dodge Charger. Stepping in the car with a groan I start the car and look at my phone again to connect the bluetooth and start playing Leroyce -Forever before I take off toward a destination not really caring where as long as it's not here.
Opening my glove department I pull out a blunt and light it before coming to a stop. 'Got to get off the road soon dont want to get pulled over again.' I sigh, even though I look older than it I am still only 10. One that really is tired of this worlds sandeces 'I really dont want to call Vin to tell the officer to let me go if I get caught.' I add another sigh to my day as I pull into a parking space and turning off the car. I continue to smoke my blunt while listening to the music letting it vibe though me. 'I haven't eaten in 3 days' I think with, yeah you guessed it another sigh not particularly having an appetite or craving anything to eat.
Putting out the roach that was left while also making sure my silver glock is by my side, I get out of the car and walk to the nearest store. Walking up to the 711 I open the door and notice there were three young chicos in the candy isle and an Arabian at the register. Going to the bakery isle I grab two banana nut muffins before going to grab a beer and some chips.
"Can I get a black and mild wood tip?" I asked as I walked up to the Arabian girl at the register. Her big brown eyes first going to my holstered gun before looking into my hazel green eyes. Looking like she was having a debate with herself on whether or not to ask for an armored mixed girls Id. Flipping her fake blonde hair it seems like she made the decision that she doesnt care about my life.
"That will be 9.34."
Placing a 10 on the counter I walk away leaving the change. Going straight back to my car rolling another one and, staring off into space letting my mind wonder into the depths that would only bring and leave more scars. The only thing that brings me back is the sound of my ringer going off. Looking at the screen I see a picture of my hermano Vin and I on the screen. My long curly black hair pushed to the side my eyes closed and a bright smile on my full lips showing off my pearly whites. Vins tattoed arms wrapped around his hermanita as tight as possible knowing that would be the last time we would see each other for awhile.... and it's already been 8 months. "Qué?" I demanded. As soon as I picked up the phone.
"Elaina."
"Hm?"
"Te necesito." His deep voice says hesitantly over the phone.'Really....now you need me?'
"Por qué?"
"We can't speak about it on the phone. I need you to come to me." His gravely deep voice demanded on the phone. Not really giving me a choice in the matter in my head.
But now, what could be so important that you cant tell me over the phone. Well the only way I was going to find out was by going to him.
"I'm in New York right now, get my location and set it to the nearest airport. Make sure you keep the cops from my route I dont want any problems. Order me a private jet and set it to where ever you are."
" Thank you Elaina."
Humming, then ending the conversation. I recieve the route not even a minute later. Taking care of my family is a full time job that I didnt even sign up for....but without them I would have given up a long time ago. I sighed pulling out of the parking lot finally lightin the blunt.
'This finna be some bullshit.Well at least I get to go to London.'
*Present*
Hearing a truck pull up outside the house. Walking to the door I peek out the bullet proof window to see Abuela's black truck outside. The short mexican lady is cursing my hermanitas the hell out I notice with a small smile. Knowing them they probably deserve it. Shaking my head I start making my way to the door unlocking the door and stepping onto the second brick step.
"THATS YOUR MOTHERFUCKING EXCUSE FOR GETTING ALL THAT SHIT ON MY SEATS!?" oooh car problems...... Walking right back inside grabbing Nena who found her toy bag and was currently sleeping on a stuffed animal. But she was already dressed in her pajamas so imma just count it as a win-win situation. I already did what I needed to do which was open the door.
"Sissy save us!!!!" I hear both my other twin sisters yell. No. You fucked up her truck. You did this to a crazy Mob grandma.
"Let's go find somewhere to sleep Nena." Walking off not listening to the distressing calls of "Sissy!" from all three my sisters now.
I end up picking the empty master bedroom mentally cursing my brother for not having furniture arrive before his family did. 'Pendejo.'
Laying down on the carpet floor while putting white headphones in my ears and using a giant panda stuff animal as a pillow I pull an already asleep Nena over me and, put her head on my chest before closing my eyes.
I stayed like that for hours my insomnia not letting me sleep and my mind never truly letting me rest. I sit, wait, and listen to my sisters and grandma put away the little things they had before going to sleep. Well at least two of them do.
Looking up to my door as I hear the door click open. My younger sister Juju is there with a burning blunt and bottle of Hennessy...... our sleep medicine.
She's wearing a faded purple spaghetti strap crop top and black pajamas shorts. Most of her tattoos being shown off due to the lack of clothes. Pushing a deeply asleep toddler off of me and onto the panda. I watched her wrap her arms around the toy before turning and grabbing my phone.
After making sure my bebé was still fully asleep, something I honestly dont know why I even questioned, I stand up.
Following my younger sister outside to the back yard we hop on the concrete railing facing opposite of each other with the bottle between us and pop it open. Taking out my phone I start to play Say yes by Floetry. Before I really start to look around the back yard. Cerberus was going to have the time of his life fucking shit up back here. He will be arriving tomorrow along with the furniture, he doesn't do well with long road trips at all so we decided to just drug him and put him on a plane along with the rest of the stuff.
"I thought Vin said he would be here?" Her raspy tired voice said drawing me out of my thoughts and making me turn towards her. Big puppy dog hazel eyes that had dark circles from lack of sleep and brown curly hair made her look like a sun goddess. Her light carmel skin basically glowing in the moon and pool light. Out of all of my siblings I connected with sisters the most. Maybe because I went through a lot of bull shit with them? Maybe because they shared the womb at the same time with me? Either way I'm happy for it considering how much the world seems to hates my guts its good to have sisters that actually care if I die or not.
"You know why he can't come here." I said hitting the blunt. Knowingly about to start an unwanted argument.
"Wouldn't you say to protect his girls he would actually be here with us?Not there trying to get himself killed?!"She asked irritated and worried.
"Hm." Taking the bottle she chugs down the liquor with no regrets. Before handing it to me when she is done, I do the same thing until I feel somewhat alright.
"What school are we going to go to? Will you do football?" Now why would I be thinking about doing football? This ain't my home.
"We will be going to sign up for school soon I guess and no I'm not doing football."
" You might be able to start a new life, have friends, find love." She continued. Her mind filled with nothing but romance, roses, and bullets. She already knew that we shouldnt really get attached to anyone out here. It was far to dangerous to get anyone evolved in our lives but right now on this railing she can dream.
"Are you listing out Liyah's to-do list or mine?" I said laughing and fully feeling the effects of the alcohol. Not wanting to be the one to state the facts.
"All of ours fool!" She says laughing. Her smile showing off her small dimples. The smile slowly going away putting her head on my shoulder before shaking it.
"After everything that's been going on we deserve it.........How did we get here hermana?" Sighing I dont answer, knowing that question was more towards the Angels than to me.
"This isn't fair, for him to send us to one place while hes halfway around the world." She continues with a slight whimper in her voice. Taking another sip out of the bottle before passing it and lighting a black and mild.
"He's trying his best." Those soft spoken words could've been yelled at the poor girl with how quickly she quieted down.
Looking over at her down casted head.
"Yeah he is trying his best....but, his best could be with us there to help." She said damn near sobbing. The medicine is working.
"You know why we cant do that Juju. Come on." I said picking her up from the railing and stumbling back into the room after I placed her next to Nena before turning around and locking the door. Poor girl was already asleep when I turned back around.
What could I expect though after everything that's been going on. Quickly checking my phone for the time to see 02:45. I finally lay down next to them and let the alcohol in my system drag me into Morpheus's arms.

A solar deity (also sun god or sun goddess) is a sky deity who represents the Sun, or an aspect of it, usually by its perceived power and strength. Solar deities and sun worship can be found throughout most of recorded history in various forms. The Sun is sometimes referred to by its Latin name Sol or by its Greek name Helios. The English word sun stems from Proto-Germanic *sunnǭ.[1]
Overview
The Neolithic concept of a "solar barge" (also "solar bark", "solar barque", "solar boat" and "sun boat", a mythological representation of the sun riding in a boat) is found in the later myths of ancient Egypt, with Ra and Horus. Predynasty Egyptian beliefs attribute Atum as the sun-god and Horus as a god of the sky and sun. As the Old Kingdom theocracy gained power, early beliefs were incorporated with the expanding popularity of Ra and the Osiris-Horus mythology. Atum became Ra-Atum, the rays of the setting sun. Osiris became the divine heir to Atum's power on Earth and passes his divine authority to his son Horus.[2] Early Egyptian myths imply the sun is within the lioness, Sekhmet, at night and is reflected in her eyes; or that it is within the cow, Hathor, during the night, being reborn each morning as her son (bull).
Mesopotamian Shamash plays an important role during the Bronze Age, and "my Sun" is eventually used as an address to royalty. Similarly, South American cultures have a tradition of Sun worship, as with the Incan Inti.
Proto-Indo-European religion has a solar chariot, the sun as traversing the sky in a chariot.[citation needed] In Germanic mythology this is Sol, in Vedic Surya, and in Greek Helios (occasionally referred to as Titan) and (sometimes) as Apollo. In Proto-indo-European mythology the sun appears to be a multilayered figure, manifested as a goddess but also perceived as the eye of the sky father Dyeus.[3][4]
During the Roman Empire, a festival of the birth of the Unconquered Sun (or Dies Natalis Solis Invicti) was celebrated on the winter solstice—the "rebirth" of the sun—which occurred on December 25 of the Julian calendar. In late antiquity, the theological centrality of the sun in some Imperial religious systems suggest a form of a "solar monotheism". The religious commemorations on December 25 were replaced under Christian domination of the Empire with the birthday of Christ.[5]
Africa
The Tiv people consider the Sun to be the son of the supreme being Awondo and the Moon Awondo's daughter. The Barotse tribe believes that the Sun is inhabited by the sky god Nyambi and the Moon is his wife. Some Sara people also worship the sun. Even where the sun god is equated with the supreme being, in some African mythologies he or she does not have any special functions or privileges as compared to other deities. The ancient Egyptian god of creation, Amun is also believed to reside inside the sun. So is the Akan creator deity, Nyame and the Dogon deity of creation, Nommo. Also in Egypt, there was a religion that worshipped the sun directly, and was among the first monotheistic religions: Atenism.
Sun worship was prevalent in ancient Egyptian religion. The earliest deities associated with the sun are all goddesses: Wadjet, Sekhmet, Hathor, Nut, Bast, Bat, and Menhit. First Hathor, and then Isis, give birth to and nurse Horus and Ra. Hathor the horned-cow is one of the 12 daughters of Ra, gifted with joy and is a wet-nurse to Horus.
From at least the 4th Dynasty of ancient Egypt, the sun was worshipped as the deity Re (pronounced probably as Riya, meaning simply 'the sun'), and portrayed as a falcon headed god surmounted by the solar disk, and surrounded by a serpent. Re supposedly gave warmth to the living body, symbolised as an ankh: a "T" shaped amulet with a looped upper half. The ankh, it was believed, was surrendered with death, but could be preserved in the corpse with appropriate mummification and funerary rites. The supremacy of Re in the Egyptian pantheon was at its highest with the 5th Dynasty, when open air solar temples became common. In the Middle Kingdom of Egypt, Re lost some of his preeminence to Osiris, lord of the West, and judge of the dead. In the New Empire period, the sun became identified with the dung beetle, whose spherical ball of dung was identified with the sun. In the form of the sun disc Aten, the sun had a brief resurgence during the Amarna Period when it again became the preeminent, if not only, divinity for the Pharaoh Akhenaton.[6][7]
The Sun's movement across the sky represents a struggle between the Pharaoh's soul and an avatar of Osiris. Ra travels across the sky in his solar-boat; at dawn he drives away the demon king Apep. The "solarisation" of several local gods (Hnum-Re, Min-Re, Amon-Re) reaches its peak in the period of the fifth dynasty.
Akhet (horizon) in hieroglyphs
Rituals to the god Amun who became identified with the sun god Ra were often carried out on the top of temple pylons. A Pylon mirrored the hieroglyph for 'horizon' or akhet, which was a depiction of two hills "between which the sun rose and set",[8] associated with recreation and rebirth. On the first Pylon of the temple of Isis at Philae, the pharaoh is shown slaying his enemies in the presence of Isis, Horus and Hathor. In the eighteenth dynasty, the earliest-known monotheistic head of state, Akhenaten changed the polytheistic religion of Egypt to a monotheistic one, Atenism of the solar-disk and is the first recorded state monotheism. All other deities were replaced by the Aten, including Amun-Ra, the reigning sun god of Akhenaten's own region. Unlike other deities, the Aten did not have multiple forms. His only image was a disk—a symbol of the sun.
Soon after Akhenaten's death, worship of the traditional deities was reestablished by the religious leaders (Ay the High-Priest of Amen-Ra, mentor of Tutankhaten/Tutankhamen) who had adopted the Aten during the reign of Akhenaten.
Aztec mythology
In Aztec mythology, Tonatiuh (Nahuatl languages: Ollin Tonatiuh, "Movement of the Sun") was the sun god. The Aztec people considered him the leader of Tollan (heaven). He was also known as the fifth sun, because the Aztecs believed that he was the sun that took over when the fourth sun was expelled from the sky. According to their cosmology, each sun was a god with its own cosmic era. According to the Aztecs, they were still in Tonatiuh's era. According to the Aztec creation myth, the god demanded human sacrifice as tribute and without it would refuse to move through the sky. The Aztecs were fascinated by the sun and carefully observed it, and had a solar calendar similar to that of the Maya. Many of today's remaining Aztec monuments have structures aligned with the sun.[9]
In the Aztec calendar, Tonatiuh is the lord of the thirteen days from 1 Death to 13 Flint. The preceding thirteen days are ruled over by Chalchiuhtlicue, and the following thirteen by Tlaloc.
Arabia
Sun worship was apparently practiced in Pre-Islamic Arabia, abolished only under Muhammad.[10] The Arabian solar deity appears to have been a goddess, Shams/Shamsun, most likely related to the Canaanite Shapash and broader middle-eastern Shamash. She was the patron goddess of Himyar, and possibly exalted by the Sabaeans and early Bedouin.[11][12][13]
Buddhism
In Buddhist cosmology, the bodhisattva of the Sun is known as Sūryaprabha ("having the light of the sun"); in Chinese he is called Rigong Riguang Pusa (The Bright Solar Bodhisattva of the Solar Palace), Rigong Riguang Tianzi (The Bright Solar Prince of the Solar Palace), or Rigong Riguang Zuntian Pusa (The Greatly Revered Bright Solar Prince of the Solar Palace), one of the 20 or 24 guardian devas.
Sūryaprabha is often depicted with Candraprabha ("having the light of the moon"), called in Chinese Yuegong Yueguang Pusa (The Bright Lunar Bodhisattva of the Lunar Palace), Yuegong Yueguang Tianzi ( The Bright Lunar Prince of the Lunar Palace), or Yuegong Yueguang Zuntian Pusa (The Greatly Revered Bright Lunar Prince of the Lunar Palace). Together with Bhaiṣajyaguru Buddha (Chinese: Yaoshi Fo) these two bodhisattvas constitute the Dongfang San Sheng (Three Holy Sages of the Eastern Quarter).
Male and female
Solar deities are often thought of as male while the lunar deity is female, but the opposite case is also seen. The cobra (of Pharaoh Son of Ra), the lioness (daughter of Ra), the cow (daughter of Ra), the dominant symbols of the most ancient Egyptian deities, carried their relationship to the sun atop their heads; they were female and their cults remained active throughout the history of the culture. Later a sun god (Aten) was established in the eighteenth dynasty on top of the other solar deities, before the "aberration" was stamped out and the old pantheon re-established. When male deities became associated with the sun in that culture, they began as the offspring of a mother (except Ra, King of the Gods who gave birth to himself).
In Germanic mythology the Sun is female and the Moon is male. The corresponding Old English name is Siȝel [ˈsɪjel], continuing Proto-Germanic *Sôwilô or *Saewelô. The Old High German Sun goddess is Sunna. In the Norse traditions, Sól rode through the sky on her chariot every day, pulled by two horses named Arvak and Alsvid. Sól also was called Sunna and Frau Sunne.
Other cultures that have sun goddesses include the Lithuanians (Saulė) and Latvians (Saule), the Finns (Päivätär, Beiwe) and the related Hungarians. Sun goddesses are found around the world in Australia (Bila, Walo), India (Bisal-Mariamna, Bomong, Kn Sgni), among the Hittites (Wurusemu), and Egyptians (Sekhmet), in the Canary Islands (Chaxiraxi)/(Magek), in Native America, among the Cherokee (Unelanuhi), Natchez (Wal Sil), Inuit (Malina), and Miwok (Hekoolas), and in Asia among the Japanese (Amaterasu).

Tumblr media
Barbara La Marr, opposée à la virginale Lillian Gish, joue dans Le Prisonnier de Zenda de Rex Ingram, La Bouteille enchantée de Maurice Tourneur, The Eternal City de George Fitzmaurice et The Girl from Montmartre d'Alfred E. Green.
Tumblr media
