Hello! Today I bring a long-awaited reference, starring Arcien Yu'Yden (they/them), my tiefling/drow wizard! I haven't drawn them in a bit, but they've always been one of my faves. Yden has been filling a very different role in my campaign (where they're morally very questionable) vs the campaign Yxala is in (where they get to be chiller and a fairly nice parent). I love exploring what a character could've been like in different conditions. However, only the first version gets the cool crystal arm artefact! (Also, feel free to ask any question you may have about them, I love answering those!)  As usual, reblogs are super appreciated! References like this are always very hard to get done

#chris doodles #it's been so long since i've been able to dm a campaign and i'm having so much fun #we're only on session 2 but everyone's having a great time #so the doodle guys in order: #we've got azalea--a tiefling mage with 3 giant anglerbeast pets #(anglerbeasts are a custom creature i made taking displacerbeasts and adding a cool anglerfish bobble to the end of one of their tentacles) #(and if a player fails a saving throw they can get hypnotized by the bobble and will attack their fellow players for one turn) #next is adira--half-orc lady in charge of the beast's den #which is a monster/creature bounty sector of the silverhands mercenaries #a group of sellswords that run the majority of the security of the port town the party is in. #next is nakris--the dragonborn who hired the party! #an ancient artifact of his people #the amulet of the ironscale #was “accquired” (stolen) by a museum curator #he's been trying to do all the legal ways to get this ancient item back #but it hasnt worked so he's resorting to Crime and hiring the party to steal it back #which means i get to plan a heiiiiiiiiiiiiist mission!!! #its been so so fun #OH AND FINALLY the last one is reinheart! #who is one of our pcs! #a kalashstar war cleric #i plan to draw the other pcs eventually :]

I'm actually rather surprised that not a single one of the boys made top three. but then again, I suppose the large number of straight men that play this game are not as visible in fan spaces as us lgbt. That is...a fortunate thing, though, I'd argue.

#bg3 #thoughts about media #with how much you see of a certain little elf- I figured he'd make the top three. but I see I figured wrong! #the top classes do not surprise me at all. #I take great interest in strategy when it comes to dbd. so I pay the same attention to strategy in bg3. #the top three classes are some of the best classes to choose for combat. #theeeen the choices stray back into RP territory. #rogue has it's uses...but less so than warlock I'd argue. #I'd say wizard and cleric are stronger than rogue too. #hell. I multiclass star into wizard once he's gotten his lvl 3 thief perks. in part for tav lore reasons. in part to maximise his strengths #stealth just isn't consistent enough in this game to pay off. in my opinion. #like the best classes I'd say are sorcerer / paladin / bard / warlock. #fighter is good for multiclassing to gain action surge. and multiclassing into war/tempest cleric can be useful too. #but fully levelling either seems pointless imo. #the race choices are 100% because of RP reasons. the stats do not whatsoever show any influence from min/maxing stats and abilities. #if that were the case. half-orc would be the top. halfing. and drow. I think duegar is good too? #tiefling being up there isn't actually TOO bad either. they are decent for mage classes. #CANNOT believe evoker wizard is the most popular though. other subclasses have better perks imo. #I also think thief is the best subclass of rogue. extra bonus action? and falling damage reduction/cannot fall prone from falling? SO good. #also my sincere congrats to the 464 maniacs who've already destroyed honour mode. you people are bananas.

started another bg3 playthru bc i Am Sad TM, draconic bloodline dwarf street-urchin sorcerer bc i am making this as Sad as possible for a gale romance <3 i probably will not actually play it for a bit, but i was cooking in the character creator for like 3 hrs

(her bio fam was clearly awful) #raised partially in a tiefling orphanage. the outcasts and misfits of it al #so she gets a virtue name. like tieflings #and is now like. clerk at a shop. very boring. just trying to stay out of ppls way. so lonely. doesnt rlly understand her magic #sees it largely as a curse #AND THEN. WHAM. HERE. Salros, a warlock tiefling with starry motifs all over, as a commission for @/stillplayinghouse!

This picture has taken me months to get done but I think I'm really pleased with the result, despite how challenging it was! Salros is just a perfect match for my usual aesthetics  I got to designs some new bits for the character, such as the coat and the book, which I did have a lot of fun with! Also, Salros has some drow blood in him, which means it also counts for day 2 of drowcember (Arcane)
