Even though I don't think Timothy would ever miss Jack per se I imagine that his death still left a void that Tim doesn't know how to fill
Because what exactly do you do when the man who essentially dictated every aspect of your life is now dead? What can you even do when you're still wearing his face? Fuck if Tim knows

Every time they have a fight, Timothy leaves Helios for a few days (or weeks) to clear his head or whatever and Jack is totally SO chill about it. Like really. It's crazy how unbothered he is. But if Timothy could be arsed to send a little "still alive" message, so Jack wouldn't have to personally check the bodies of all the doppelgangers who wound up dead during Tim’s unplanned leave. Because he has to make sure that none of them are Lawrence! That would be great.
But ueah no he is totally winning the idgaf war☝

I just had this idea of a batfam × motorsport au, i mean just imagine: Bruce Wayne is a bored millionaire with lots of money and nothing to do, so he sees Formula 1 as a chance for a big investment. he buys his own team, Wayne's Racing. at the beginning no one had faith that it would work (after all, this is not the first time that a millionaire has bought a team in motorsport and thinks it will be a success ((I'm looking at you Lawrence Stroll))) and of course it didn't work. So Bruce starts investing a LOT in this, Wayne Companies manufactures its own parts, he looks for the best engineers and system analysts in the world to work for him, and of course like any millionaire he puts his children on his team (I'll get to this about nepotism and such later, focus on the team) 2025 is when there is a change in the tide of formula 1, the regulations will change and that is great because now the teams are closer to each other Mercedes is no longer the same and is starting to show signs of weakness, Red Bull it's also not the same since Horner was arrested (bc that's something should actually happen) and Adrian Newey left the team. So now comes the chance for a new team to win. At the beginning all eyes were on Ferrari (as always) Aston Martin which has progressed a lot since the last few years and Mclaren, but then suddenly Wayne's Racing starts winning a lot of races. As the championship comes to an end, Lewis Hamilton wins his eighth title, but Wayne's Racing wins the constructors' championship, leaving everyone shocked. This new team that came out of nowhere only needed one year to become champion and now everyone is extremely curious to see what comes next
Well, other day I will talk about Bruce's kids bc Jason is definitely a motogp rider and there's a lot of drama bc he left Wayne's Racing for Al Ghul Team. and Tim oh he's not a racing drive, he never really liked racing but he likes the technical parts, the engineering, the strategies, so he became a sports journalist and lived his whole life in this environment full of racers. And there's also other characters that I've thought like kon, bart, wally, roy, kori etc

Ideal Hypothetical Saw Film Reroll episode(s)
(This is something I’ve been thinking about as I’ve watched through the movies and @afoxnamedmulder also formally asked about it so I took that as full permission from him to just start spewing my every thought about these two things together. This post is hyper niche and for literally like 3 people but idec lets gooooo)
So the first thought is if the Film Reroll crew were to ever reroll Saw it would obviously be the first one. It’s the most culturally relevant one and the one that most fits with what I can see the show doing. In the case of rerolling Saw I, ideally the players would not have seen the movie. Like I said, since this is the most culturally significant one this might be hard but I’m gonna go off of both vibes and play style for this one and just hope that it works
For the GM it’s gonna be Paulo. I just feel he could do the cramped space of the bathroom justice and bring in new “challenges”/obstacles to keep things moving.
Playing Lawrence Gordon, and this is gonna sound crazy please bear with me, I think we get Carolyn Faye Kramer. My reasoning for this is that the Lawrence of Saw I is someone who, despite his task being to kill Adam and cut off his foot, does not actually have the ability to do it until the very end when his family is threatened. If we put Jon or Scott here, Gordon is shooting Adam within the first 15 minutes of the movie. Carolyn I feel can play someone very conflicted about the choice and also won’t immediately jump to trusting whatever Jigsaw is saying on the tape. She’s willing to cooperate with her fellow player and only if she’s pushed to take things into her own hands will she start trying to make moves, which I feel is fitting. (Also she’s the only cast member I feel like we can say 100% has never seen these movies lmao lest we forget the infamous Friday the 13th “I know who the killer is” fiasco” happening because she doesn’t like scary movies)
My first choice playing Adam Faulkner-Stanheight would be none other than Joz Vammer themself! I think they could really get the tone of the character down full stop. The mixture of outbursts and jokes, but then also throwing things at the wall to see what sticks in getting them out of there. I feel like Joz also would not accept the zero sum game presented by Jigsaw and would work to find a way for both Adam and Lawrence to get out together, which is really what you need for this movie. In my heart I feel like Joz has seen the movie, but for this scenario I would hope not because…
The twist in this reroll would be there has been a 3rd PC the whole time: Zep Hindle. I would LOVE for Tim to play Zep. He could 100% play this quiet, envious guy given instructions to carry out his part of the game. My imagining for this would be he and Paulo had a session before the main game that was all about how Zep handled the set up stuff with Alison and Diana.
And then I’m envisioning the bathroom game sessions are happening on a Zoom call or the like, and Tim is sitting with Paulo in his apartment, letting him know what Zep is doing if/when phone calls to the outside world are happening and stuff. Also Paulo could totally call for “breaks” in recording where he’s actually conferring and rolling with Tim on what Zep is doing. The knowledge Zep gets is basically the equivalent of him getting to know stuff because of the camera set up in the movie. This would probably be a logistical nightmare to actually record, but I like to think that the payoff would be awesome. Like it gets revealed there was a secret third player in the episode, Joz and Carolyn are shocked, and then the edit goes back in time to show key tidbits of Tim’s turns and such. They could even release the full audio of it then on Patreon lol
The reveal at Zep being a PC rather than an NPC also kinda parallels/coincides with him not actually being Jigsaw from the original movie too. He’s not the one actually making things happen, he’s all a pawn in the game as well
HOWEVER I also had the thought - if the crew does Saw they don’t HAVE to do the first one. They didn’t do the first Friday the 13th and hell, their first episode is literally Back to the Future 2, not the first movie. If the crew just wanted to do a Saw episode to focus on the trap aspect when they’re playing, I think they could play as the Fatal 5 from Saw V (blatant Saw V bias showing here, don’t look at me, but also I genuinely think this is the group game most conducive to being rerolled). It’s also very likely that none of them have seen Saw V, so the “twist” with the traps being all survivable wouldn’t be known to them
It was between Saw V and Saw II because those are the two group games where all of the participants are free to work together and it’s not reliant on one person. I like Saw V better because I feel it can be self contained more than II. With II you have to deal with the fact Amanda is in on all of it and idk I feel like that just doesn’t work as well for a ttrpg setting. Casting for this one is a lot more vibes based and I have less concrete answers, so I’m open to suggestions
GM - Paulo once again. King of making this all work
Ashley Kazon - Carolyn (don’t know too much about Ashley but I want Carolyn in this movie and feel she could work this)
Charles Salomon - Scott (he could do it. He could bring the smarmy vibes and even though he wouldn’t know the line “I’m an Investigative Journalist for 👆The Herald👆” he would know it in spirit)
Luba Gibbs - Jon (first of all, we don’t get Jon to play women enough on this show. I love him playing Annabelle in Jumanji. Secondly, I think he can play Luba’s cut throat nature well. However I also wouldn’t mind Lisa in this role. I think she could play it well also)
Mallick Scott - Andy (he might be a bit too sedate for this, but also he’s the one I trust the most to play into the inevitable guilt complex that would be put on his sheet so)
Brit Stevenson - Kara (she could 100% do corporate woman who cares only for her own survival until she realizes that she doesn’t HAVE to care only for her own survival. I believe in her)
No twist in how the gameplay happens here, the only fun thing would be to see if the cast would be able to figure out Jigsaw’s message in that they can all actually work together to get through the traps.
FINALLY the most self indulgent thing and the thing they would never actually do because it technically wouldn’t be the movie itself is they would give us an apprentice campaign with the mainline apprentices working together before the start of Saw III/Saw IV, each of them with their own specific, secret objectives they’re hoping to achieve:
GM/John Kramer would be Paulo
Amanda would be Joz (Fairly self explanatory I feel. They have the range to play her. They would GET her)
Lawrence would be Andy (I feel Andy could pull off apprentice Lawrence. Lawrence strikes me as someone in the shadows during his apprentice work, biding his time, and I can see Andy bringing that sort of thing to Lawrence. At the same time there’s some room to develop apprentice Lawrence’s motivations and character so I would be interested in seeing what he’d do for him)
Hoffman would be Scott (Hoffman was the hardest for me to pin down in this line up but I think I like Scott as my pick for now. Open to more thoughts about this one though.)
In every scenario there would be will rolls up the wazoo. I feel like will stats in this would be fairly normal, it would just be the penalties that would make the rolls hard. So I like to imagine that cutting your own foot off is probably a -5 penalty or something, but if you’re in immediate, imminent danger or you have credible reason to think your family is in danger you’d get some bonuses back to make it a less tricky roll. Also numerous fright checks would also be on the table I’m sure, as well as senses of duty or different traits people will have to resist. I think building the character sheets for this would be fun, though it would be interesting to see how it would get balanced out by Paulo when actually playing

characters commonly percepted as skinny by the fandom but actually arent (the character designers told me themselves fr)
arcade gannon (hes not a twink hes got pudgy IT guy body)
felix millstone. hes fat to me. maybe not fat fat but definitely enough that he was called "husky" as a kid yk
nick valentine. hes a middle aged detective he cant be scrawny. no i dont care if hes a synth the institute made him fat anyway. diversity
vicar maximillian desoto. hes got middle aged man body hes kinda flabby and hot. dont lie to me and say hes buff or skinny
handsome jack and by proxy timothy lawrence. jack has dad bod, good tum with a muffin top, kinda flabby biceps, slight boob jiggle, the whole shebang. tim looks heavier, but since hes gotta look like jack hes got the same general body type and fat on him, but i imagine hes got some more muscle under it all. you can feel that hes a bit firmer than jack is. i like to think tim lost some of that muscle and fat while hiding in the casino
rhys strongfork. ill give tftbl to you. hes skinny then. but by bl3 hes got some stress pudge and hes put a bit more weight on just by being a CEO. more expensive and indulgent food
moxxi. not that shes even percepted as skinny shes actually depicted typically as more curvy than she is in canon. but shes got mother fat to me.

10 please and D and P or H and T!!
Hi, friend!!!! I have completely given up on trying to contain my word count for these 😅 While the majority of the song is very David Rose, my brain latched onto the final verse for Tim. Putting it under the cut because 595 words 🫠
send me 1-100 and i'll write you a drabble based on the corresponding song
“I missed you, Skippy.”
The words are a balm as much as they are a cut. A stabbing reminder of everything Tim can’t have. Could never have, really. Hawk was never his to keep. And as impossible as their love was before, it’s even more so now. Because Hawk belongs to Lucy. He’s a family man, a paragon of virtue within his world. Even if it’s all a lie.
Tim can’t help but hate himself for the fraction of a second where he gives in to the fantasy that is loving and being loved by Hawkins Z. Fuller. He pretends that this moment is real and yearns to live in it forever, briefly considering bargaining with God if only he could be granted this one thing. This speck of time when Hawk is holding him, cherishing him. When he feels the warm brush of lips against his neck and jaw, the light scrape of stubble against his cheek, the fingers tangling in his hair and the hand at his back, as if Hawk truly wants to keep him. He smells the musky scent of cologne, mixed with Tide and a unique aroma that could only belong to Hawk.
It takes him back to a rented room in 1952 and a crackling radio playing swoony love songs to cover the sound of their immorality. To stolen moments when they raised their middle fingers to God and loved with abandon. Because that’s what it was – love. Not sin. Not a mistake. Love. At least for Tim.
And that thought strikes him like lightning, grounding him to the present. To the reality that is. The one where Hawk says he misses Tim, while the family Hawk left him for waits a quarter mile up the road in the main house. Presumably none the wiser.
He wants to ask Hawk what exactly it is he misses. Is it the sex? The relative safety of someone he didn’t have to hide his secrets from (even though Tim is certain there were many between them)? But he doesn’t do that, because it will accomplish nothing. Instead he talks about Father Lawrence, and the possibility of holding two truths.
He lets the pain of his words sink in and reflect in Hawk’s eyes, and he hopes they do hurt. Even if it will never be the same, Tim needs some validation in the form of knowing Hawk is in a fraction of the amount of anguish Tim has been carrying in his heart, like a slow-acting poison, for the last fifteen years.
When Hawk’s inner turmoil – whether it be real or imagined – retreats behind a familiar mask of indifference, Tim accepts the tainted gift for what it is. Possibly the closest he will ever come to hurting the bulletproof Mr. Fuller.
“Please leave.” Tim doesn’t have to ask twice before Hawk is out the door again, leaving him to the heavy silence of his makeshift sanctuary.
He kneels in front of the stone fireplace, clasping his hands together, unsure what to think or say. What could he confess or ask forgiveness for? Because how, as he had once disclosed to the Army priest, could love be a sin? This love that blooms eternal in Timothy Laughlin’s heart for one Hawkins Fuller, no matter how he tries to trample it like a pesky weed. This love that he’s certain will taunt him for eternity, perhaps into the afterlife, and never let him go.
Tim closes his eyes and begins to speak, praying the rest will come of its own accord. “Dear Heavenly Father…”

Chenford Week 2023: Free Day
Pairing: Tim Bradford/Lucy Chen
Characters: Tim Bradford, Lucy Chen, and just about everyone will be making an appearance in some way.
Rating: Mature
Summary: Set during the Wild West, Tim is sheriff of a small town where Lucy owns the local saloon. An incident one night will have repercussions and change the course of their lives forever. Bringing them together, for better or worse, in a way they never imagined.
A/N: Even though this is another Western AU by me, it has no connection to my previous Western AU story. Though I did borrow some elements from that story.
This story is inspired by the songs "Should've Been a Cowboy" by Toby Keith and "The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia" (from which the title comes from) originally recorded by Vicki Lawrence and covered by Reba McEntire.

Audio
(2020, Sunshine Sound, F10001)
Bandcamp
Context below the cut ⬇️
This is one of Walter Gibbon’s mid 70′s experiments with breaks. This particular drum break is taken from the beginning of Happy Song by Rare Earth, which was a rock song and not disco at all! You will find this break sampled in many other places if you know to look out for it!
Here is the track’s mention by Tim Lawrence in Disco Madness: Walter Gibbons and the Legacy of Turntablism and Remixology”. Journal of Popular Music Studies, 20, 3, 2008, 276-329.
Gibbons went on to DJ at Galaxy 21, an after-hours venue on Twenty-third Street, around late 1974, or possibly early 1975, and it was there that he began to play records such as Rare Earth “Happy Song” (drawn from the 1975 album Back to Earth), Jermaine Jackson “Erucu” (released by Motown on the Mahogany soundtrack in 1975) and the Cooley High soundtrack number “2 Pigs and A Hog” (also released in 1975), all of which contained prominent breaks. “Walter was so innovative,” notes Kenny Carpenter, who witnessed Gibbons forge his craft in Galaxy 21, where he worked the lights (and briefly dated the DJ). “He would buy two copies of a record like ‘Happy Song’ and he would loop the thirty-second conga section.” Hired to play drums alongside Gibbons, much to the irritation of the DJ, François Kevorkian recalls how listeners “would never hear the actual song” when Gibbons worked two copies of “Happy Song”. “You just heard the drums,” he adds. “It seemed like he kept them going forever, although I imagine it was actually about ten minutes.”
Francois K, who drummed alongside Gibbons at Galaxy 21, created his own edit of the break in 1977 as one of his first works, sold initially as an acetate through Sunshine Sound.
This particular interpretation by Gibbons was never released to the public, but offers an interesting insight into the changes in structure and priorities that disco would undergo in the process of its eventual transformation into house music.

Son of the Mask (2005) dir. Lawrence Guterman. 7.4/10
I would not recommend this movie to my friends. I would not rewatch this movie.
What a great dog companion. Some jokes do hit though.
Tim is not someone I'd date. But, his drawings are lovely, I do say. The cartoons are kinda what makes this entertaining. Wow, imagine if your dad made the cartoons you watch as a kid.
Everything about this movie seems more all over the place and random. The original movie was better. It felt the least interesting or made the least amount of sense in the first part that Tim wore the mask. It got slightly better with Loki. Imagine if this was MCU's Loki.

TMNT: SATURDAY ADVENTURES #1-2
MAY - JUNE 2023
BY ERIK BURNHAM, TIM LATTIE, JACK LAWRENCE, ED DUKESHIRE AND RAUL ANGULO.
Tumblr media
After sniffing a mysterious chemical, the Rat King loses his mind control over rats, but gains control over the Turtles. Now he will use them to get the rats to follow him again.
Tumblr media
SCORE: 9
I mean... there is an element of nostalgia involved here. Nostalgia and potential.
This is not a simple two-parter. Burnham is using the opportunities of an ongoing series to start long plots, and in the meantime, we discover some things about the time period we are in.
To start with, I would have to say (and I think this was revealed already in an interview), that the story is taking place between seasons 7 and 8 of the original cartoon. Shredder and Krang are hiding in a regular building and they are looking for a way to return to the Technodrome.
Having said that... now Burnham has two options.
To continue telling stories between these two season, and perhaps later time jump.
To branch off and create a new universe.
History is in favor of the second option. Just imagine the potential of continuing the show from season 7. And then perhaps introduce Carter, Lord Dregg and all those weird villains of the red sky seasons in a different way, more in the tone of the original seasons. I think this would give them enough freedom to tell al kinds of stories.
Another thing we found out was that the Rat King was a lawyer. Of course, it's not the first time the Rat King thinks he is a pro at something. But I don't know... he may be right. Or perhaps it was a lawyer joke.
The dialogue is a little rusty for my taste. Sometimes, there are jokes that are just there because a joke needed to be told, but didn't really work.
The art, though... is amazing. At least if you are fond of this style with the turtles. Even Splinter looks perfect.
I really want IDW to continue the Archie Universe, but this book may be the new version of Adventures.
What do you think?

Friday Releases for November 17
Friday is the busiest day of the week for new releases, so we've decided to collect them all in one place. Friday Releases for November 17 include Scott Pilgrim Takes Off, Super Mario RPG, New Blue Sun, and more.
Next Goal Wins
Next Goal Wins, the new movie from Taika Waititi, is out today.
NEXT GOAL WINS follows the American Samoa soccer team, infamous for their brutal 31-0 FIFA loss in 2001. With the World Cup Qualifiers approaching, the team hires down-on-his-luck, maverick coach Thomas Rongen (Michael Fassbender) hoping he will turn the world’s worst soccer team around in this heartfelt underdog comedy.
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes
The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes, the new movie from Francis Lawrence, is out today.
THE HUNGER GAMES: THE BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS & SNAKES follows a young Coriolanus (Tom Blyth) who is the last hope for his failing lineage, the once-proud Snow family that has fallen from grace in a post-war Capitol. With his livelihood threatened, Snow is reluctantly assigned to mentor Lucy Gray Baird (Rachel Zegler), a tribute from the impoverished District 12. But after Lucy Gray’s charm captivates the audience of Panem, Snow sees an opportunity to shift their fates. With everything he has worked for hanging in the balance, Snow unites with Lucy Gray to turn the odds in their favor. Battling his instincts for both good and evil, Snow sets out on a race against time to survive and reveal if he will ultimately become a songbird or a snake.
Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain
Please Don’t Destroy: The Treasure of Foggy Mountain, the new movie from Paul Briganti, is out today.
In PLEASE DON’T DESTROY: THE TREASURE OF FOGGY MOUNTAIN, John Goodman narrates the adventure of Ben, Martin, and John, three childhood friends turned deadbeat co-workers, who fend off hairless bears, desperate park rangers and a hypocritical cult leader in the hopes of finding a priceless treasure, only to discover that finding the treasure is the easiest part of their journey.
Saltburn
Saltburn, the new movie from Emerald Fennell, is out today.
Academy Award winning filmmaker Emerald Fennell (Promising Young Woman) brings us a beautifully wicked tale of privilege and desire. Struggling to find his place at Oxford University, student Oliver Quick (Barry Keoghan) finds himself drawn into the world of the charming and aristocratic Felix Catton (Jacob Elordi), who invites him to Saltburn, his eccentric family’s sprawling estate, for a summer never to be forgotten.
Rustin
Rustin, the new movie from George C. Wolfe, is out today.
Rustin is the critically acclaimed film from director George C. Wolfe, starring Colman Domingo as Bayard Rustin. Architect of 1963’s momentous March on Washington, Rustin challenged authority and never apologized for who he was, but was forgotten despite making history. Rustin spotlights the man who, alongside Martin Luther King Jr., dared to imagine a different world and inspired a movement.
Dashing Through The Snow
