2010 -
Catsuka reports that Method (On Ent.) is co-producing an S3D film called “Miraculous Lady Bug” with Zagtoon, with a budget of €50 million funded by Universal. TV series in the workings.
2012 -
Variety reported that Univergroup (Zag Inc.) was launching a film division called Zagtoon Pictures in partnership with SamG. “Miraculous Lady Bug” was in production as both a film and TV series with a budget of $50 million.
Variety reported that Zagtoon enrolled Toei Animation to co-produce “Miraculous” with a budget of $11.2 million. (and a “colorful manga style”)
Crunchyroll reports that Toei Animaton is only involved with the 2D TV series and not the 3D film.

Interesting tidbits:
First Variety article mentioned that Zag and SamG had merged to create “Sam Zag” to work on Univergroup’s animated features. idk...what
Crunchyroll article included the old synopsis for the series i.e. “Marinette Cheng” and “inherited magical earrings”
DQ has had a 20% sharehold in Method Animation since before 2014
that super old article which reported that Marinette was 13 when the series began and which I kept telling everyone but everyone said she was 15 instead...
yeah i think the budget decreased
comparatively, Shrek had a budget of $60 million
