That new Andrew Garfield television show ‘Under The Banner Of Heaven’ is v good and each episode is a really great length and feels satisfying and has great pacing and each episode feels like it ends in a satisfying place so each episode feels full and purposeful and intentional as to why it ends when it does, not just narriatively, but also technically speaking, like almost like a full movie where it’s like “yes of course it ends there” without telegraphing it in really obvious ways the way that with a lot of media you can tell when it’s about to end, and it’s overall really well made and entertaining to watch and it makes me glad that you don’t feel the NEED to binge it because of the way that it’s made makes it feel ok to stop after each episode, which is also really refreshing in a space where most video media rn feels like it encourages audiences to continue binge watching and press play on the next thing and the next thing, be it television shows, movies, online video content, etc. and having a show that’s made in 2022 that provides ample space to stop after each episode, while not feeling over-stuffed or like you have to stop to digest everything, but more like there is space to stop if you want to, is very welcome rn.

Having said that I want to watch the next episode rn like immediately. Not because the show was created to encourage binge-watching it, but because that’s such a great and well made show rn that, comparitively, watching other media that’s being released publicly at the same time as ‘Under The Banner Of Heaven’ is being released rn in 2022, it feels like I’ve been eating chocolate for a week and rn I really want some fruit.

People who complained in 2012 that Andrew Garfield was too attractive to play Peter Parker probably didn’t read many Spidey comics before then coz Peter Parker’s canonically hot shit. Famous actress and supermodel MJ Watson?? Gwendolyn Stacy?? FELICIA HARDY A.K.A. BLACK CAT?? Literally characters who had no idea that Peter’s Spider-Man wanted to date him AS WELL AS characters who didn’t care much about the Peter Parker side of him. From practically every direction there’s somebody being like “yeah I used to have a crush on him.” like honestly. Yes Peter Parker’s a super intelligent person with a good heart who would literally die to help people, but he also literally married a supermodel.

Hi friends, I think I've scheduled this post correctly, but knowing me I probably haven't, butttt its my 19th birthday today! along with the fact that my Zendaya sideblog hit 1k a little bit ago and this mainblog hit 3k last week; I thought it was the perfect time to do my first Follow Forever as a celebration ♥️

A/N: a small teaser for my Christmas fic for Harrison! Full fic coming 12/16!

You’re settled on one side of the bed with your scrapbook materials all laid out, two dozen pictures in your hands as you struggle to decide which picture should go first.

You go with a funny picture from last Christmas, one with Harrison holding your baby cousin, you’re resting your head on his shoulder. Any other time it would have been a cute photo, but right before Ed took it, Dan said “you two are going to be such great parents!” Which made both you and Harrison looks up with slightly shocked and terrified faces.

You giggled as you taped the photo down, writing a silly caption next to it, ‘maybe for next Christmas we can give everyone the gift of a kid so we don’t have to last minute shop’.

“Causing trouble over there?” Harrison asks, grunting as the knitting needles clang together and you assume he missed a stitch.

“Only slightly,” you quip back before deciding on the next picture, one that Marcus took of the two of you at midnight of New Years.

Harrison had just tipped you back and you leaned down to grab his coat to kiss him, another cheesy New Years tradition. Instead of keeping his balance, Harrison dropped you smack onto the ground, him falling right on top of you afterward. The picture is both of you laughing into a kiss on the snow laden ground as your dads stare on mortified.

By the time you finish the first movie, the scrapbook is halfway done, mostly because you took a while to come up with some witty captions, partly because you had to pause each time the needles would clash together and Harrison would curse.

“Metal needles aren’t always the best for beginners, I would try wooden needles next time, or what size are the needles? I’ll grab mine,” you say, closing the scrapbook and standing up.

“Hey! No peeking!” Harrison scolds you as you cross the room toward your desk.

“I saw the needles in the parking lot! I didn’t peek,” you say, opening your drawer of knitting needles, “now what size needles?”

“Eight,” Harrison responds, setting the metal needles down.

“Here, now you won’t slip as much, you’re off to a good start babe, love the color,” you smile, cupping Harrison’s head and kissing him gently.

“Mhm, screw presents,” Harrison says before kissing you again, pushing the knitting aside to pull you onto his lap.

You let him for a moment before pulling back, resting your forehead on his.

“No, finish up this, uhhhh,” you pick up the small piece of something that Harrison started, handing it back to him, “whatever this may be, and I’ll finish my present. Then we need to wrap the rest of the gifts!”

Harrison reluctantly lets go of your hip and you settle back on your side of the bed, making sure your pillows hide the scrapbook well.

By the time the second movie finishes, both you and Harrison have wrapped your presents and torn down the pillow barrier.

His eyes are red and he’s exhausted, constantly trying to rub the tiredness from them as you curl up at his side.

“Happy Christmas babe,” you kiss his nose as his eyes flutter shut.

“Mhm, want to, did you still wanna-,” Harrison grips your hips, a moan rumbling low in his throat.

“Not if you’re unconscious, Haz, come on, let’s sleep,” you encourage him to get up and brush his teeth, his eyes closed the entire time.

“Tomorrow?” He asks, finally fluttering his eyes open to smirk at you as he pulls you in for a kiss, toothpaste and all.

“Tomorrow,” you chuckle, “a great Christmas present.”

“You look nice.” You complemented him a minute into the FaceTime call. You saw a hint of rose emerging from his cheeks but he distracted you purposely with a smile.

“Yeah… I’m in the car.” He said, but you never asked. He was saying that, not to you, but the people who were inside the car with him. Apparently, physical appearances were a gateway to a conversation he rather not have in public; or as public as one can be in a car they are not driving. Since he seemed to be in quite the predicament, you decided to take advantage of it for a little while.

Although you two have never done anything remotely sexual through your phones other than the flirty messages that would always be put second in comparison with funny pictures of what each other was doing at the moment, you took your current attire as an opportunity.

You flipped the camera from inner to outer and pointed it at the body mirror in your room revealing you in your underwear and matching bra, a lucky coincidence. He had called you right after you got out of the shower so you answered the call with what you had managed to put on in such a rush.

You saw the shock reach his face as he took in the sight. It was noticeable that he was looking at you up and down which filled you with pride, for the first time you were not a knot of shyness and self-consciousness under his gaze. You decided to play out that card for as long as possible.

“Do I look nice?” You asked with a sensual tone shifting your weight to your dominant leg to accentuate your hip through the delicate fabric.

He looked around, definitely at whoever was driving the car, to make sure they had not seen his screen. The sight was for him and him alone, he was very particular about that. However, he couldn’t respond accordingly so he ran his hand through his lips and licked them in frustration as his gaze burned holes on his phone screen.

“Sure sure. I’ll call you tonight.” He answered an unspoken request but you saw the meaning behind him saying he’ll call you tonight. You even heard his voice break a little while he was trying to keep it together before he ended the call after sending you the slightest wink.

You put your phone aside, satisfied. Maybe you just use your devises creatively more often…
