This is my first digital rendition of the Sugar Rush Next Gen AU OC Oriana Batterbutter!

Oriana Batterbutter is the daughter of the recolor racer, Torvald Batterbutter. Her theme is based on Popcorn products, and she hosts the best movie nights in all of Sugar Rush!

As for Oriana's father, Oriana has never met him nor does she know his identity; No one but Torvald actually knows the father's identity. All that is known was that Adult Torvald had gone out on vacation across the Internet, had a one-night stand while she was out, and she had returned home with little Oriana swaddled in her little blanket. Since then, Torvald has done what she could to be the best mother she can be to Oriana.

For additional information on Oriana:

She has a fear of swimming,

Her cloak is her comfort item,

She is taller than the average Sugar Rush child, however, she is also younger than most of the children,

She is the same age as Pepo Orangeboar,

She actually doesn't get hungry; she will only eat if Torvald gets her to or if she just wants to,

Her mapping is different from the other children's, so she gets stuck when in crowds of people, oddly shaped corners, or even when she is trying to find a seat on a couch that to her is already filled,

She yells in gibberish when she gets angry or frustrated

Taura Butter is based on Torvald Batterbutter from Wreck It Ralph. She is a 20 year old human, influencer, and uses she/her pronouns. She has no powers. Taura is portrayed by Josie Totah and she is taken.

CATCHING MY DEATH, AND I COULDN’T BE SURE

Taura never cared much about racing. If she was being honest, she only got into the sport to boost her popularity. What she did care about was the attention; the paparazzi, the social media following, the compliments. She knew from a young age she was destined for fame, her parents might have been those of an empire and she was already well off for herself, but she wanted more, but she also knew she wasn’t particularly talented at anything. She couldn’t sing or dance, she couldn’t act. She couldn’t seem to land above seventh place on the track. But her daddies always said fake it ‘til you make it, and that she did. She was charming when she wanted to be, able to play it up easily. So despite not being a lead racer, her interviews helped her become a quick fan favorite, and she adored it. It wasn’t as glamorous as being a movie star, being a Sugar Racer, but it was a start. In the blink of an eye it seemed, she built a loyal Instagram following, and that led to sponsors. It was the dream life, taking photoshoots of herself posing with products for a living, getting to keep it all, and sharing it with an adoring fanbase. Unfortunately all good things must come to an end, however, and it was hard to be an influencer when you couldn’t reach anyone outside of a specific radius. To some, Evermore may have been a nice change of pace from their boring lives, but for Taura, it was a nightmare. She had everything she wanted at her fingertips, and she’d lost it as quickly as it had came… and no one knew why. No one knew where they were or why every road out of town led right back into town. So many residents had simply given up trying to leave. She didn’t care how long they had been trapped here, however. she was determined to find a way out of this town, one way or another. Her fans must be worried sick not knowing where she went.

❀ Marie Bonfamille: Forget Tiffany, Taura would follow Marie anywhere. The girl is beautiful, classy and fashionable. They were born to be besties. ❀ Phineas T. Kettletree: She isn’t sure what she did to give Bobble the impression they’re good friends, but he’s too sweet for her to tell him to leave her alone, so for now she’s stuck listening to him ramble. ❀ Fred Jones: Surely a group of mystery solvers would be able to figure out what was going on with Evermore. Fred seems even more invested than she does, so she’s keeping her eye on him. No one is leaving without her.

An easygoing racer that found joy in the simple things, Flancheska was a firm believer that the smallest of things could make the biggest impact. She always gave some great advice and was the leader of the Recolors. Out of all the racers, she always had the best intuition, being the first to sense something felt off after Turbo hacked their code. Every now and then she often wondered why she was given a boy’s name during her time as Torvald, making her believe filling the remaining roster slots was a rush job. After the reset, she continued her pursuit of enjoying the little things one step at a time. She also enjoys making flan in a variety of flavors.

My take on this character was inspired by a popular headcanon back in 2013-2014, which talked about how the 4 palette swap racers were the products of the game being hacked. Prior to it, they had identities just as unique as their fellow racers. These designs and profile below are my own idea on what these former identities were and what they return to after Sugar Rush gets reset.

In this AU, the game was plugged in 2010 instead of 1997, and had been active for just a day before Turbo took over. When he tampered with the game’s code, an unintended side effect caused the girls to take on the appearances of the racers they were hanging out with at the time, turning them into their palette swaps.

What’s in a Name? - A Wreck-It Ralph Quic-Fic

(Rated T for language and suggestive elements. Also I am not making this up, these are the actual names of the Palette Swaps from Sugar Rush.)

“You know what the worst part about being a palette swap is?” Nougatsia Brumblestain asked her fellow Sugar Rush recolors.

The four racers sat in their usual booth in the far corner of Burger Time. It was Sunday night after Litwak’s has closed for the evening, and the whole game was packed with characters from all over the arcade looking to relax after a long weekend.

“The fact that we almost never win spots on the random roster race?” Sticky Wipplesnit asked.

“The fact that even when we do, the players almost never pick us?” Torvald Batterbutter asked.

“The fact that our entire existence is to just pad out race rosters, making us barely better than generic NPC’s?” Citrusella Flugpucker asked.

“Well... I mean yeah, all of that too. But I’m taking about our names.” Nougatsia threw her arms up in exasperation. “I’m named after nougat for crying out loud! Who actually likes nougat? Geriatrics and serial killers, that’s who!”

“That’s nothing, my name sounds like some kind of freaky sex thing,” Sticky said with a roll of her eyes. She puffed out her chest and spoke with a stereotypical ‘dude bro’ infliction. “Yo dude check it out, I went home with that chick from Tyler’s party last night. We got back to my place and I gave her the ol’ Sticky Wipplesnit, if you know what I mean.”

Torvald snorted. “At least you two have names that are related to candy and sweets. Like ‘Batterbutter’ is fine, that’s baking stuff, whatever. But what the hell even is ‘Torvald’?”

Citrusella chuckled. A dry, bitter, joyless chuckle. “You’re actually complaining about names? You three don’t know how good you’ve got it.”

“What do you mean?” Nougatsia asked.

Before Citrusella could answer their waiter approached, holding a tray piled high with plates of burgers and fries.

“Here’s your order, ladies,” he said grabbing one of the plates and looking at the order slip on the tray. “Okay we have a double-quarter pounder with cheese and extra pickles for a... Citrusella Plugfucker?”

Citrusella’s eye twitched. She slammed her palms down on the table, making everyone jump. “It’s Flugpucker, goddammit!”

According to a fans theory, he said "It may be that Disney had put an expiration date to this programming, or one of the employees saw the error of the version, and they were inspired to make a bug of Sugar Rush so that it is part for the story of the sequel (Wreck-It Ralph 2: Ralph Breaks the Internet) Making Wreck-It Ralph & Vanellope are forced to go to the Internet for find a way to solve their error.

For an unknown reason, the browser-based version does no longer let the player play the full version of the game, except for the Sugar Rush App for those who have already downloaded it before the Leap Motion retired.

As such, games, including Sugar Rush, can no longer be purchased from the store.

On June 30, 2017, the old Leap Motion App Store was officially retired.

King Candy is playable in the browser-based Sugar Rush Speedway, but is not playable in the Sugar Rush App.

Instead of just red lollipops on the Sweet Ride circuit there are also purple and green lollipops. Sweet Ride is a checkered yellow road and Frosty Rally is still white ice cream but with chocolate sprinkles as side barriers.

A few of the tracks have a few changes.

Another gameplay video showed Gloyd Orangeboar racing on the Sweet Ride track.

According to gameplay footage on YouTube, after the player creates their kart then chooses a circuit, only 3 circuits are shown: Cakeway, Frosty Rally and Sugar Rush.

Yes, her name stems from Vanilla, but nothing in her clothes suggests that or anything else.Sweet Seeker - Hits the racer in front of you goes backwards to the racer in second or eighth if your in first.Ĭherry Bomb - Explodes if an opponent hits it. The Syrup Puddle item was removed from the app when there were upgrades like Bake a Kart. Unlike in the browser-based version, there is only one lap in each race and eight racers will appear on the racetracks. However, Vanellope, King Candy, and the recolors are not playable. I colored this for Vanellope (along with the one on my blog’s background) because she seems not to have a set candy theme. The Sugar Rush app is a Leap Motion version of the browser-based Sugar Rush Speedway. I don’t know what Torvald’s supposed to be, so I made her butter cookies in my mind because of her last name ‘Batterbutter.’ I colored this for Taffyta as she is strawberry candy and she is constantly seen sucking a lollipop. This patterns is cool, relaxed, and striped. Her name is Sticky, for sugar’s sake! So, yeah. I mean, her colors are popular taffy colors. I colored this for Sticky because I have this belief that she represents taffy candy. I colored this one for Snowanna because they’re funky circles-like her epic snowcone afro! This was the only Peanut Butter Cup pattern. I honestly have zero idea of what Nougetsia is supposed to represent, so I just went for a peppermint pattern with her colors. So I colored a mint-like pattern for her. It was for Japanese Minty, so I just chose Pocky like what she has in her hair and colored it in the hues she has in her clothes. If you don’t know why I colored this one for Jubileena, wow you’re dumb then I think it should be obvious, since she’s cherries. Candycorn and b) it was the best Candy Corn pattern. I colored this one for Gloyd because a) everyone knows he is Mr. I colored this one because it looks girlish and classy, like I imagine Crumbelina to be, and I colored it in tones of brown. I colored this because I don’t know if she’s supposed to represent blueberries or grapes, so I used the same one I used for Jubileena. It does have assorted candy, but I think it fits her personality ok. I colored this pattern because, apparently, Candlehead represents mint chocolate chip birthday cake. I chose this because I’m pretty sure she represents peppermint popsicles, and these are her colors. It’s nice to like or reblog if you’re going to use, though.They are in ABC order, and have a small description.
