Alfa Romeo GTelectric, 2022, by Totem Automobili. The Italian start-up has shown the first “production” example of their Alfa Romeo Giulia GT-baed electric restomod. The wider, redesigned bodywork is made from carbon fibre with LED head and tail lights. Totem says that the chassis uses only 10 percent of the donor vehicle, which is amalgamated into a full-aluminium platform designed for the GTelectric. It is powered by a mid-rear mounted 518 HP electric motor with a liquid-cooled 50.4 kWh battery pack. Production will be limited to 20 cars with customer deliveries beginning in summer 2022. The cars are priced from €430,000

Ceci est le mas totémique numéro 3. Une colonne haute avec des insignes, des marques de reconnaissance.

Une couleur métallisée, des tuyaux qui s’élèvent vers son intérieur, des écrans d’intersessions vers le cœur de la machine, parfois un lecteur de carte magnétique.

En parlant avec cette machine, (avec une carte bancaire, c’est plus facile) l’homo automobilis sait qu’il va pouvoir se rendre partout. Ce totem que l’on nomme improprement pompe à essence va lui procurer l’illusion de l’ubiquité.

Sur le mat du totem, une boite avec une main dessinée. L’image suggère à l’homo automobilis d’utiliser l’objet à l’intérieur pour pouvoir engager le dialogue plus proprement avec la divinité pétrole.

Quand dans la grotte Chauvet ou dans tout autre lieu troglodyte où figure une main dessinée sur une paroi par un de nos lointains ancêtres. S’est-on posé la question de savoir si ces grottes n’étaient pas de vastes stations-services ?.
