Happy Easter! He has the High Ground.
Also, a very happy International Transgender Day of Visibility.! God sees you and thinks you’re doing great! We’re here to help finish creating the universe, and that means finishing creating ourselves. Some of us have more finishing work to do than others. I’m convinced that’s why Jesus worked for years as a carpenter/builder; to make it clear that we’re here to finish creating the Universe.
“This will be a chair.”
“But it was born a tree!”
“There’s a beautiful and useful chair inside it.”
“But it was born as a tree!”
[Woodworking noises.]
So yes. Happy International Transgender Day of Visibility. God sees you, and thinks you’re doing great!

Today, I want to tell you all a story. I tell a lot of stories, but this one is much more important. This story hasn't had the end written yet. And depending on how we act, right now, we could change and save lives.
If you care about Black trans women, please read and share.
The fight for trans liberation is often seen as a purely western phenomenon, but this view does a massive disservice to those who are fighting to exist and thrive all over the world. These people matter, and their stories matter.
I want to introduce you to Shinah.
Tumblr media
I had the incredible privilege of speaking to Shinah personally, and I was absolutely blown away by her courage, her resilience, and her tenacious optimism. She inspires me and humbles me.
She is a trans woman living in rural Uganda and she is a defender of human rights.
In 2018, she founded the Pride for Youth Initiative Uganda to protect fellow trans women in rural Uganda. In 2019, her life fell apart.
In Uganda, queer people are illegal. They suffer incredible harrassment and violence not only from law enforcement, but from their communities.
In 2019, Shinah was at a gay bar when the police raided it. She was arrested. When she was tried, neither her lawyer nor her were even permitted to speak. She was sent to jail.
But that was only the beginning.
The police outed Shinah as queer to her family.
Shinah's family responded by kicking her out of their home and lives. She was homeless, with nowhere to go. It was through her own inimitable spirit that she managed to survive.
This experience inspired her to create a shelter for trans women, especially sex workers.
She did it. Through the Pride for Youth Initiative, Shinah established a shelter for trans women in rural Uganda. The need was great. This shelter is the last place trans women in rural Uganda can turn, in an environment where their communities and governments are against them.
But their troubles didn't end there. The surrounding community has pressured their landlord into evicting them from the shelter. If the landlord won't evict these trans women from their shelter, the community threatens mob violence.
So Shinah and the other trans women staying at her shelter are now faced with the impossible; raise enough money to relocate 13 incredibly vulnerable Black trans women in rural Uganda in the next 8 days.
They only need 7,500 dollars. They have 2,000 dollars to go.
So this is an emergency. These women are at incredibly high risk of not only homelessness, but violence from their community. Their courage in simply existing is unimaginable to many of us in more privileged positions.
Shinah told me this morning that she is afraid, but that won't stop her, because she is fighting for human rights. She told me she is prepared to be arrested again, or to even be killed, to do this work. She told me those are simply the risks one must accept.
To say I am humbled and inspired by her and the other women staying at her shelter is an understatement. Our entire conversation, even while recounting her traumatic experiences, Shinah was smiling. The strength of her person and her convictions is an inspiration to us all.
This fundraiser could be life or death for 13 Black trans women in rural Uganda. To say that the struggles they have already faced are immense is an understatement. They are willing to keep fighting, not only for themselves, but for others. They have 8 days left before eviction.
Tumblr media
If we claim to care about trans people, that must extend to the most vulnerable trans people. If we claim to care about trans liberation, that must extend globally, especially to exploited regions. Trans people are everywhere.
Again; this is an emergency. 13 Black trans women in rural Uganda are facing eviction and community mob violence unless they can raise enough money to relocate in the next 8 days. Please open your heart and your wallet. It could literally save lives.
https://gofund.me/bd4d26d2
I also want to emphasize that people in exploited regions are more than capable of saving themselves. They are fully capable, with advanced knowledge of their issues and communities. They know what they need more than those from more affluent areas.
Exploited regions have been shaped by colonization, racism and imperialism. It is not only kind, but morally imperative that those of us who benefit every day from this ongoing exploitation try to reduce this imbalance of power and affluence. This is a wonderful opportunity.
PLEASE keep sharing this and donating if you are able. I have been speaking to Shinah over Whatsapp today and none of the women have eaten today because they cannot afford food. This is still URGENT and these women are still in crisis.
Also relevant; I have spoken personally to both Shinah (over video) and Alexis, the American trans person organizing the GoFundMe, and can confirm this is legitimate and not a scam. If you would like confirmation or to get in touch with either of them, please reach out via DMs.

Hi again, my trans brethren! Long post incoming but it’s an important one.
Hopefully you’ve all heard about the 2022 US Trans Survey by now. Well guess what, they extended the deadline to December 5th! If you haven’t had a chance to take it yet, you can go take it here.
If you don’t know what it is, here’s a little excerpt from their site, and you can find even more info at the links at the end of this post.
This is our time:  Be heard, Be counted.
The U.S. Trans Survey is the largest survey of trans people, by trans people, in the United States. The USTS documents the lives and experiences of trans and nonbinary people ages 16+ in the U.S. and U.S. territories.
USTS reports have been a vital resource, including the reports on the experiences of people of color and reports by state. In 2015, nearly 28,000 people took the USTS. A lot has happened since then – and it’s time to conduct the USTS again in 2022.
Help us continue to be the largest, most diverse sample across all identities. Please spread the word to ensure that people of color, older people, those who live in rural areas, immigrants, Spanish speakers, those who are HIV+, and others hear about the survey. More than ever, it's important to ensure that trans voices will shape the future.
The survey is 100% anonymous, and even then, any potentially identifying answers given in the survey are further anonymize when the results of the research are used:
Your survey response will be anonymous and you will not be asked to personally identify yourself. If you provide any information that could be used to personally identify you, the research team will take precautions to maintain the confidentiality of your responses and minimize any risk to your privacy. Results of this research study that are written in published form will not name you or identify you as a participant. If we quote from your written responses in the survey, we will not include any information in the quote that could be used to identify you.
The third page of the survey is a thorough overview of the study, its purpose, and how the information given will be used, so if you’re at all worried about participating, please take a moment to read through that! It should hopefully address your concerns!
This is the best way for the whole trans community of the United States to make sure we are seen, counted, and have our daily lived experiences recorded for use in public policy, health, research, and advocacy. It’s even more imperative that the survey reach our brethren who might not otherwise have a chance to talk about themselves, so please make sure to spread the word however you can.
Remember, the deadline to complete the survey is now December 5th, 2022!
A couple important questions addressed in their FAQ:
Who can take the USTS? •   The USTS is for all trans people ages 16 years and older, including binary and nonbinary trans identities, living in the United States, a U.S. territory, or on a U.S. military base. The 2015 survey included 27,715 respondents from all 50 states, Washington, D.C., and several U.S. territories and military bases overseas. The survey is open to trans people at any stage of their lives, journey, or transition.
I’m nonbinary but don’t identify as trans. Can I take the survey? •   The U.S. Transgender Survey documents the experiences of trans people, which it defines as anyone who identifies with a different gender than they were assigned at birth. That includes nonbinary people. We aim to be as inclusive as possible about what it means to be trans, and we welcome nonbinary people and others who identify with a different gender than they were assigned at birth to take the survey.
Do participants have to be currently “out” and living as trans and/or nonbinary to take the survey? •   No, you don’t have to be currently out or living as trans or nonbinary. The survey is open to trans people at any stage of their lives, journey, or transition.
How long does it take to complete the USTS? •   The time required to take the survey may vary, but we encourage participants to set aside at least 60 minutes to take the survey.
What languages are the USTS available in? •   The USTS is available in English and Spanish.
Is the USTS accessible to people with disabilities? •   The survey is accessible to people with physical, sensory, and cognitive disabilities consistent with Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act.  The USTS is accessible for screen reader technology to assist people that are visually impaired. Please contact [email protected] with additional questions about accessibility.

I think if you don’t understand someone’s gender you should 1: not tell them that, they’ve probably heard it already and hearing constantly how much your identity makes to sense to the world is awful, and then 2: ask yourself if you really need to know the reasoning someone had about their gender to respect its existence. Gender identity or expression doesn’t have to be justified to be worth existing, you are not entitled to someone’s backstory (often painful for anyone straying from cishet traditional gender expression). Asking questions can be done respectfully but only if 1: the person has agreed to being asked questions, don’t assume they want to have a long conversation that feels like justifying themselves for the sake of your character development or unsatisfied curiosity, 2: you’ve already done some effort or research on the identity you are trying to understand, 3: you stay open to hearing that your question has ties to offensive rhetorics. Trans people are not free teaching resources and educating everyone around you all the time not to be bigoted to your face is fucking exhausting, if you can alleviate that you should. Ressources, plenty specifically to avoid being an accidental bigot and to understand trans identities have been created, maybe they’re not the first Google result but they’re worth the effort of finding, and using trans people for free research, placing the position to defend their existence as a condition to earn your respect is fucked

Your tranny profile just made me nauseous. You are the reason people hate this movement and your existence. But whatever makes you happy, sis.
Lmao. I'm a self-identified trannydyke, are you trying to hurt me, bestie? Try harder next time, you're boring.
Anyway, if you're in the US, use this checker to look for anti-trans, anti-queer, anti-education and youth healthcare ban legislation in your state, what part of the legislative process it's in, and who your senators and reps are so you can call and oppose them. Remember, a phone call is more disruptive and visible than an email when getting your voice heard, and it's far more effective than both emails and petitions. Short of physical protest, it is one of the best ways to actually create noise towards your cause. The checker can be used to look for all kinds of other legislation, too, like anti-discrimination bills and school policy bills. Get involved and help stem the tide of fascism taking place in a wave across the country.
All anon hate will now be a platform for resources to support trans causes in the US and abroad (as much as I can find information from across the pond)! Keep them coming, I'd love a chance to advocate for my people, thank you so much, nonnie 🥰😘

Hey, I just read what the last anon sent and that was so mean. I'm so sorry some horrible person sent that to you. Some people just talk out of the blue. But stay strong and I wish for all the trans royals out there to stay strong, you all have my support. I'm actually a bit left in the dark about whatever is going on because where I come from, this isn't really discussed. If you don't mind me asking, why are people hating on the trans community, they didn't do anything wrong 🤔 Stay strong darling ❤
Hi love, thanks so much for your kind message, it means a lot and I really appreciate it. 💗
People really are so cruel for literally no reason. Like, sorry I'm trying to protect children? 🙁
There are quite a few new anons in my inbox now calling me uneducated despite me being an actual clinician. On top of that, I barely said a word, all of the facta are literally just links from scientific studies and respected organizations. 😂
To answer your question, there really is no good reason to hate trans people. They are just trying to exist and be happy like everyone else.
I'm sure there are other people in our community who would be able to explain better why these people are the way they are. If anyone can add to this or correct me on anything, please feel free!
The main excuses I've heard fascists give are:
1. Trans people are pedophiles who are grooming children (this one has zero basis in fact and while I can't speak for everyone, I know of a lot pedophilic clergy and nazis, and zero pedophilic trans people).
2. Trans people are mentally ill, perverted rapists who are only trans in order to take advantage of women (This is the position that a lot of female transphobes take, which really only applies to trans women. They're so scared of men that they become scared of trans women. While I understand the trauma they have experienced, trying to genocide an entire group of people just because they remind you of men is as acceptable as murdering a guy just because he reminded you of your ex.
The only true part here is that the majority of trans people are mentally ill - not because they're trans, but because they're almost always abused and are under constant threat of murder just for being trans).
3. They say that it's "basic biology" and that "there are only males and females."This one is just based on a lack of education.
They are correct in that their view is basic biology - it's what we learn in grade school. We're taught a dumbed-down version of science as kids, but once we hit college, we find there is a lot more complexity to it than we thought. In this case, we would learn that gender and sex are two different things, with both being on a spectrum. I'm not the best at explaining it, so here's some better info!
Hateful people become scared of what they don't know. It's the same concept as racism and sexism. It's a "foreign" group of people whom you find scary because you don't understand them. So, their natural response is violence. It's horrifying and scary, and unfortunately these people are in charge of our lives. Please keep being open-minded, and keep asking questions. Education is the most important weapon in the fight against fascists.

Figures.
I don’t have to be Etruscan or know anything about what it’s like to be Etruscan or even have any Etruscan friends to know that there were Etruscans, and that they were around before the Roman Empire and had a huge influence on Rome, who in turn had a huge influence on us.
Anyway, here’s a pair of Etruscan statues. The text on the sign reads:
“Terracotta Seated Figures. Etruscan, about 625-600 BC.
From the tomb of the Five Chairs, Carveteri.
These figures were found during 1865 in a side-chamber of the tomb at Cerveteri They were enthroned on two of the five rock-cut chairs, from which the tomb takes its name (see illustration on panel).
The figures are restored; the heads are female but the bodies may be male. The concept of large-scale sculpture and the style of the faces show inspiration from the east Mediterranean area, but details of clothing and jewellery are Etruscan.
A stone altar and other furniture found in the chamber suggest that tunerary rites were performed there in honour of ancestors, whom these figures may depict.”
I don’t know anything about the people these figures depict, but I do know that everything about them isn’t what we’d call gender-normative, and that it was clearly okay to live outside of gender norms in ancient Etruria. The only thing that’s “new,” and hopefully “just a phase,” is angrily enforcing gender norms.

Hey major shout-out to my fellow trans Jews. This year has been hell and it's hard not to feel like we've been completely abandoned, betrayed, shut out, and made unsafe across the full political spectrum.
I'm so sorry; we deserved better. I hope you're okay and standing strong - we will get through this together 🕎 🏳️‍⚧️ ✡️

People really need to start getting their transmasc centred activism from transmascs, instead of going, “okay I’ve learned about transfem experiences, so obviously I know about transmasc experiences; they’re just the opposite!”

If your politics stem from, "in a perfect world, disabled people wouldn't have to exist to suffer their disability!" you are just a eugenicist.
So often, people seem to forget that eugenics isn't "being mean," so when eugenics are framed as kindness, compassion, empathy, and as a service done unto the people they are helping (see: eradicating), it isn't seen as eugenics - it's seen as a kindness. In what way would disabled people "not exist" in society if it were "made perfect"? In what way would we be deemed not to be "suffering a life of disability," and how is it measured?
The "kind" eugenicist is still operating with the same tools that the "dyed-in-the-wool" eugenicist uses. The kind eugenicist relies on people taking what they say in good faith, that they actually want to help the people they seek to eliminate.

A part 2 to a previous post I made so I can raise awareness
By the way, here's a comprehensive list of individuals who've done stuff that concerns me, so without further ado
Ben Shapiro-
Tumblr media
Key Jean-Kay/Posey Parker- a TERF or transphobe whose more known in the UK (where I'm from) who posted this as a response to Brianna Ghey's death
Tumblr media
Libs Of Tiktok-
Tumblr media
Matt Walsh-
Tumblr media
Alice Cooper-
Tumblr media
Graham Linean-
Tumblr media
JK ROWLING- I'm not even going to dignify her with any image because she's notorious for doing that shit.
Rosin Murphy-
Tumblr media
Elon musk-
Tumblr media
Ricky Gervais-
Tumblr media
Blair White : It's full of subtleties, but if someone uses the word 'convincing' to say that someone's exploring their identity, then you're inciting hatred because you're creating a narrative that they're just confused and don't really understand themselves.
Tumblr media
This is a reupload BUT kalvin Garrah has done some serious damage too
Tumblr media
Raven-This might not seem harmful now, but this pronoun moral panic can lead to you being brought down a transphobic pipeline.
Tumblr media
Arielle Scarcella
Tumblr media
There's probably MANY MANY more, but please, THINK BEFORE YOU POST. These people spread dangerous rhetoric because it's easy to ostracise a social group, so PLEASE PLEASE think about what you say because you will tar your hands with the blood of hundreds of people, and that's something you can never wash off. (I'd encourage anyone to comment any other creators who do similar things.)
I want to start a petition so here goes nothing, but here's a change.org petition I made so hopefully countries or groups will be put into more pressure to DEAL WITH these individuals beyond demonetising them
Change.org- https://chng.it/LQx5JS6D9s
(I'M GOING TO UPDATE THIS WITH MORE LINKS SO PLEASE KEEP CHECKING THIS POST <3)
Also posts made by others on this include: https://www.change.org/p/youtube-stop-targeting-trans-youtubers?source_location=search
