Alright so there was this one fic I read and lost that I want to find again. If anyone can help me then please do.
It’s about Ingo getting transported back to modern day Unova after the events of PLA at the same exact moment that he originally left. So from Emmet’s perspective no time has passed. And Ingo realizes what’s happened so he tries to pretend like no time has passed by shaving his goatee and hiding his Hisui pokemon. He manages to do this for a short while but is eventually caught with us Gliscor and has to reveal to Emmet everything that actually happened. After that it’s mostly about Ingo relearning and adapting to Unova and Emmet having to deal with the fact that his brother was sent to 18XX Sinnoh. It’s kinda like a slice of life thing if that makes any sense.
Anyway if anyone has any idea of what fic I’m describing then let me know please

Charcherry Weekly - Issue 178
Heya folks, Mage of Light Nick Card here. The year is almost over somehow!
Let's finish it off strong!
Redistro Review!
This year on Present Redistrobution day, Heir of Time Thoren Emit and Maid of Void Skitis traveled together across starter planet in one night to deliver presents to every child. Reportedly they succeeded in this effort, even with a particularly tiring double battle! Meanwhile, Warlock of Time Coleman rode off into the night to cover the giftgiving in more local locations, as well as covering giftgiving to our group at large. Page of Rage Jovin also did some local giftgiving, though with less personalized gifts, mostly sticking with the reliable gift og a couple ultra balls and a held item.
As for your dear newsletter writer, I spent my redistro waiting at the pokemon center for a dear friend's recovery. You see, Mage of Life Blaze did arrive on the 24th as foretold, but apparently her immune system needed time to adapt to the vastly different biosphere. Like, what the heck did darkeus do to that version of Hisui, cover everything in weird new germs? Did Blaze almost die to nuzlocke pokerus? I am not a medical professional so I do not know. Regardless, she was released from the pokemon center after a few days, and only just managed to gain the strength to visit my home on friday. It was a nice visit, but I worry about her expected return to evil hisui (as opposed to neutral hisui, which is only averagely deadly rather than extremely deadly).
Despite everything, I managed to get a pair of light-enhancing specticles from Coleman that may come in handy, as well as some cookies from Samus.
Somehow, no particular get-together was planned this year by any particular party, with personally made the occasion sad and confusing though perhaps I should have tried to organize something myself rather than wonder and wait until the last minute.
Rails to be ridden
Rather recently, a representative from the underground contacted our group about challenging voidco's rather recent bid towards trying to buy out the rail system. Desertian President Witch of Time Katyleen Kitten negotiated with the representative, and has successfully entered a deal to handle the costs for 25% of the railway and begin planning for a set of stops under the new Desertian Rail Authority. Some of these stops will be within the Gene universe, while some will be in various versions of the pokemon world.
Because of continued complications in keeping Starter Planet a secret, a poll has been launched to gauge interest in ending the secrecy agreement, as previous reasons for its implementation are either irrelevant or actively counterproductive if enforced entirely. It is assumed that the agreement will be ended, as there was no particularly strong opposition to the motion.
The decision will go into effect on January 1st.
Ringing in the New Year!
On December 31st and leading into January 1st, there will be a new year's celebration of sorts. a stand selling various party supplies for the occasion will be open for the occasion, with party poppers and funky glasses and other noisemakers. As of note, there is currently no designated countdown device, which means that one will need to be planned and ready for use and operation by then. Please remember that loud fireworks are not likely to be used, and that the occasion will be observed according to the local DZT time zone. As usual, refreshments can be found at Gene's garden. Mixed drink fees may apply.
This week’s known market stands in Desertia Town:
Katie’s potion stand (Not available to plitlanders due to regulations, available to all others however)
shinyjiggly pokesnacks stand (ran by Rufus)
New Years party supply stand
caramel apple stand
I think that does it for this week, and this year for that matter. The recent story arc of the denizen visit in left beef is nearly to a close, meaning the next one (Rise getting the teleport-y mask? skipping ahead to the 2021 new years stuff?) is coming up. It feels nice to have stuff that actually feels like it leads to something.
May everyone have a good 2024! https://letssosl.boards.net/thread/413/charcherry-weekly-issue-178

Salac Berry- A time in the muse’s life they wish could have lasted longer
-@nationaldexanon
(nothing to do with the national dex but I still wanted to tag myself ^^)
((... The cop-out answer is that she's actually currently IN the moment she wants to last longer. Her life prior to what was going on now, while Hisui is harsh, was still in a lot of ways much less enjoyable for someone who had no interests she could really latch onto with others or executive dysfunction strong enough that only getting out of bed to go to work was viable some days.
I wanna give fair warning for the non cop-out. This is gonna get a bit dark. Death tw here. Transphobia tw here. And I am GENUINELY sorry if you were hoping for something softer. But, it is my personal belief that someone coming out the other end of bad circumstances still with a smile on their face makes for a more fulfilling character to write!))
((Rose's last place of residence on Earth was a place called Waddington, New York in the US. Sleepy, teeny little town almost a full hour away from any actual cities in New York, but if you looked out a window? You'd see Canada. But she didn't used to live there.
She used to live in New Jersey. Much more urban location in Ewing, even! Fifteen minutes in any direction, you'd hit a suburb or city. And she used to live with her father, arguably the most supportive person she knew. And every year during the middle of July, she'd visit a place with him to go fishing, typically staying at a location known as the Riverview Motel in... Waddington.
Yep. When he got hit by cancer when she was around 21, it was right after one of their trips. About a month after it... he started showing some bad symptoms. And things began to take a rapid turn for the worse around October that year. One year later, missing the annual trip? He passed away. And... well.
It's hard not to latch onto and wish the best times you had every year with someone who actually saw you for who you were could've lasted longer. Maybe another week during the year he was sick. Her mother? Transphobic to a fault, actively threatening to cut her hair or tell her to cross her legs correctly like a boy would. Sure, she acted "progressive". But this is a woman who was very strict on her gender roles and using less than pleasant parenting techniques. (I am basing her experiences regarding being trans on my own, if it wasn't obvious)
To say she preferred her conservative, but still genuinely accepting father who refused to raise a hand to her and, while rather old-fashioned, genuinely tried to adapt to her needs as a person because that's what he believed he needed to do? Little hard not to want to go back to a time when she could maybe extend that last week he got to truly be himself to a second one. Maybe a third. Maybe longer.
Maybe long enough that she'd be able to share her time in Hisui with him, too.))

Concept: Ingo gets send to Hisui, but he never loses his memory. He's just a modern Unovan stuck in ancient Hisui for no reason.

do you have any submas fic recs?
You know, you'd think I would, right? I just don't have a lot of time to read these days between work, school, and writing (and also playing white but shhh). But I do have some! Uh, I'm taking submas to mean 'any fic that has ingo and/or emmet', so some of these don't have emmet. I hope that's okay.
Also uh I'm going to be honest with my recs, so I might say a few things that might seem a little mean, but I swear they're good fics! I'm just picky!
Reverie by Firelight
On the night of the festival, Ingo takes his leave. Instead of the loud streets of Jubilife, he finds himself in the Coronet Highlands.
A really good oneshot! It's just sort of a moment out of Ingo's life, and also I think the first Ingo fic I read lol.
(grabs the funny subway man) YOURE GOING BACK HOME FUCKER
In which Nimbasa City's most prominent figures find themselves in grief, a man and a child emerge from the mountains, and Ingo grapples with a world he would swear he knows, but cannot recognize.
This fic was probably the first one I read about Ingo coming back! It does a lot of things I like, like showing how much Ingo's disappearance has affected people. It goes the 'emmet becoming a mess of a workaholic' route for Emmet, and this one actually does it pretty good because somebody notices and tries to help! Uh, I don't really like how (spoilers!!!) the reunion is put off so that the author can show us how Ingo got home, and I'd much rather have it left to the imagination.
Misery Loves Company
Dawn was convinced she was alone in Hisui, going under a false name and pretending to have lost her memories in order to squeak by and survive. But she's not alone in her misfortunes. And she's not going to leave him behind.
A pretty good one! Dawn and Ingo bonding, and we know I'm a fan of that! It's a little more 'episodic' that I'd like, but it's still really fun and some really nice chracterization and relationships :D
Not Meant For This World
They found him on a mountain.
Unconscious and tattered, lips blue from lying face down in powder snow, the man was delivered to the Pearl Clan in the arms of a beast with no warden.
- - -
Ingo adapts. He has no choice but to adapt to this life he's been handed, even if he knows there's a great deal missing from himself.
I really like this one. The ending especially is a gut punch, like oof yessss hell yessss. It's mostly just Ingo and his time in Hisui, learning how he fits into it all.
We Will Always Have Each Other
Subway Boss Ingo has been missing for over three years. Not that the local Gym Leader or the Pokemon Rangers accompanying her have any idea who that is. All they care about is whether anyone was hurt in the avalanche caused by that sudden, odd swirling storm, and why all the wild Sneasel are acting so strangely now.
The journey may be long, but Ingo and Emmet will be reunited at last.
I really really liked the beginning of this one! I thought it had a lot of fun things going on! I wasn't as happy with how the rest of it has been going with the characters it cuts between and some of what they had happen with Ingo. I'm also picky about how the reunion actually goes - I mean, I'm sure when I have it happen somebody will say of mine 'i dont' like that' so karma and stuff - so I have mixed feelings.
Lucifer, Your Horns Are Showing
Volo and Ingo exchange myths, and Ingo regains a memory.
A neato fic about Volo and Ingo, uh, 'bonding'? Volo's mostly a little shit, but what do you expect. I like the characterization of both of them, though, and it feels like something that could've happened in the game.

Yashahime Translation: Prince Animage May 2021 Issue (Part 1)
Please do not repost this translation without my consent! This includes screenshots of any type and amount. If you wish to share this translation, simply link to this post.
For more information regarding the use of my translations, click here.
Due to the amount of content in the magazine, I have decided to the split the translation into three parts as follows
Part 1: Elder Son’s Resolve! Interview with Director Satou Teruo
Part 2: We Won’t Give Up On the Future! Father-Daughter Round-Table Talk with Narita Ken, Matsumoto Sara, and Komatsu Mikako
Part 3: The Strength to Overcome Destiny. Interview with Director Satou Teruo
Please note that there are two interview articles with Director Satou in this magazine.
The Strength and Pride of a Beast King
The Beast King of the West’s (The Dog General) eldest son, Sesshōmaru. He is far from the stereotypical image of an eldest son being “A reliable elder brother who protects his younger brother” or “A filial pious male heir”.
He once clashed with his half-demon half-brother, Inuyasha, many times. Also, instead of ruling over the western lands in place of his late father, he continues a wandering journey. However, his outstanding ability and noble mindedness that can overwhelm others is that of a beast king’s eldest son. Always treading the path he believes in, he is an aloof existence who never sucks up to anyone, no matter how backed into a corner he gets. That is the way of life for Sesshōmaru, the one who inherits the blood of a beast king.
That stance does not change, even with his own daughters, Towa and Setsuna. He does not spoil them because they are his daughters. On the contrary, he is sending them on a difficult path. Even when his second daughter, Setsuna, lost her life as result, he never grieved.
At a glance, Sesshōmaru’s actions appear collected, but behind that he must surely be hiding his own conviction. Though we cannot yet see the full picture of what Sesshōmaru is thinking, let us wait for the second chapter (season) while believing in the strength and pride of the eldest son!
Sesshōmaru The Eldest Son of the Beast King of the West. A proud demon with greater demon parents. Though he is not on good terms with his younger brother, Inuyasha, when Kirinmaru tried to fell Inuyasha, Sesshōmaru sent Inuyasha inside the black pearl.
Family
Parents: The Dog General and his wife
Siblings: Younger half-brother, Inuyasha (different mothers)
How He’s Addressed: “Sesshōmaru”
When One Says Eldest Son, (one thinks) “Stubborn” Looks Like He Will not Show Affection for A While?
In episode 18, Sesshōmaru gallantly appeared before Towa and the others as they fell into a tight spot battling Kirinmaru. Even though he fended off Kirinmaru and saved his daughters, he left the scene without a word. There is a glimpse of Sesshōmaru’s obstinate heart when Jaken asks him “What about the two of them?” and he answers, “Don’t say anything”.
When One Says Eldest Son, (one thinks) “Pride” One Who Inherits the Blood of the General of the West
The pride he has for the beast king blood he got from his father is an aspect you can’t leave off when talking about Sesshōmaru. During the time of “Inuyasha”, it was that pride that made Sesshōmaru dislike and look down upon humans and half-demons. However, because of his meeting with the young girl, Rin, and moving with her, a kind heart slowly started to bud within him.
When One Says Eldest Son, (one thinks) “Harshness” Spartan Training for Even His Daughters
Though it was to hide them from Zero and Kirinmaru, to take his daughters away from their mother immediately after birth and imposing a “rite of courage and cowardice”? Even with Setsuna’s death before him, he entrusts Towa with Tenseiga, (a sword) that can resurrect a dead person only once, but the blade is broken… His harsh trial for his daughters will continue in the second chapter (season)?!
Pay Attention to These Eldest Sons Too!
Kohaku Eldest son of the demon slayer clan. During his youth, he had a somewhat unreliable side to him compared to his elder sister, Sango. However now, he has matured splendidly, both mentally and physically. Taking over from his late father, he became the head of the demon slayers.
Hisui Miroku and Sango’s eldest son. He has two older twin sisters, Kin’u and Gyokuto, who do things at their own pace. For a long time, whether it was just from the rebelliousness of an eldest son , he misunderstood his father as a greedy and cowardly person. However, in episode 13, he changed his perception.
Sōta The eldest son of the Higurashi family and Kagome’s younger brother. Towa’s adoptive father. He saw Kagome fighting demons during his childhood, so he more or less does not get phased easily. Even when Towa returned to the feudal era, he gave her a gentle push.
Kirinmaru It is not known if he has other siblings aside from his older sister, Zero, but one can sense the personality of an eldest son from his imposing appearance. Whether it is towards his elder sister, the severity in his roar might even get through to Sesshōmaru.
Eldest Son’s Resolve!
Formerly, there was special regard for the eldest son as the “heir to the clan”. However now, there is a diversity in worth. If there are neets, then there are also vagrant sons and there are even families that are not blood related! Various eldest sons who are each fighting in their own fields, gather around~!
Good Brothers, Good Rivals Director Satō Teruo
— Where do you think Sesshōmaru’s charm as an eldest son lies?
Satō: Even if you say elder brother, Sesshōmaru’s relationship with Inuyasha is that of a half-brother. You may not really get a sense of an eldest son or elder brother but… I think he’s fundamentally a nice person. For the sake of his goals, he’s willing to move (others) in a way that’s convenient for him, whether it be his younger brother or children. However, in truth, it’s also for their sake and it’s like despite everything, he won’t treat everyone badly.
— That’s a little elder brother like.
Satō: He clashed with Inuyasha for a long time but over time, he took action in a way that would become proper support. Although, I don’t know just how far Sesshōmaru planned things. He has a “Whether they live or die is up to them” kind of thinking. It’s possible that the actions Inuyasha chose to take just happened to turn out well.
— In “Hanyō no Yashahime”, there was a phrase that came up for the daughters’ trial = “Rite of Courage and Cowardice”. Could that harshness also be eldest son like?
Satō: Even during the “Inuyasha” era, Sesshōmaru would always back Inuyasha into a corner but Inuyasha overcame and crawled his way up. Not only do I think that Inuyasha was able to grow because he had that high wall known as Sesshōmaru, but if Sesshōmaru hadn’t been there, it’s possible that Inuyasha wouldn’t have been able to battle Naraku. I feel that the two of them are good brothers and good rivals. In that term, I think Sesshomaru has some amount of faith in Inuyasha.
— By the way, are you an eldest son yourself, director Satō?
Satō: I’m the same as Sōta, Kohaku, and Hisui in that I’m the “eldest son who’s also the youngest child”. For some reason, there are many eldest sons who are the youngest child in this work so somehow, I felt close to them. Being the eldest son while also being the youngest child is completely different from being the eldest son and child. Everything is based on the elder sisters’ mood! (laughs) My two older sisters would mimic Pink Lady (translator’s note: A pop duo from the late 1970s) and I would applause as I watched. There’s an image that that’s how eldest sons who are also the youngest child are thoroughly trained on “how to read the mood” (laughs).
— Sōta certainly is able to read the mood. He was completely unphased when Setsuna, Moroha, and the demon came from the feudal era.
Satō: Sōta has nerves of steel doesn’t he. Thanks to seeing Kagome and Inuyasha go back and forth to the feudal era right before his eyes, even when Setsuna, Moroha, and the demon appeared, he just took a philosophic view like “Ahahaha… See, I always told you. There are demons”. Being able to adapt to their surroundings like “that’s just how it is” I think is a trait of eldest sons who are also the youngest child (laughs).
— What about Kohaku’s aspects of being an eldest son?
Satō: Kohaku at present is splendidly carrying on the family work as the head of the demon slayers, though it’s not a large family like in the past. I think while carrying the pride he inherited from both his father and elder sister, he’s trying to protect the work of demon slaying. When thinking of Sango as an elder sister, she seems kind of scary (laughs).
— Hisui also inherited the family work.
Satō: You’re right, inheriting Hiraikotsu from Sango. With uncle Kohaku’s existence, it’s possible that Hisui felt “he wanted to do the same thing” during his childhood days, like how children from kabuki families do so to speak.
— If we’re talking eldest son with an older sister, it’s Kirinmaru.
Satō: That is the case. Kirinmaru was a beast king who ruled over the east and stood alongside the Dog General so he’s already a feudal lord/head of the house. There was the phrase “Don’t get carried away” that he said to Zero. As the head, he was admonishing his sister who lacked a sense of justice. I think that dislike for half-demons comes from their position. In the second chapter (season), a new key person will appear in the story. Kirinmaru’s family relationship will become more complex again going forward so please pay attention to how that relationship in regards with Sesshōmaru’s family will turn out.

Lost and Found

Lost
Time flowed differently as the wind. At first, she was lost. She had no control of her elemental form. The wind was everywhere, and so was she. Simultaneously she was rushing through valleys, wisping up snow in tundras, blowing tumbleweeds across desert lands, and delivering the breath of life to a newborn. Over time she gained back the memories of who she was.
She was Kagura of the Wind, born of Naraku, and died as the free wind.
I want to see him. She hated that her first thought after regaining herself was of a man. However, Sesshomaru’s image filled her mind and she yearned for just a glance of his silver locks. She knew exactly where to look.
The first place she stopped was the village where Inuyasha lived. It turned out to be more bittersweet than she was expecting.
Seeing Kohaku was a welcome surprise. Saving him was the catalyst that was ultimately her demise, so seeing him alive and well made the loss a little easier. Rin had grown significantly too. The little girl who once cowered in fear of her was learning to be a midwife from Kaede. Kagura overheard the town’s people as they praised her bravery as she delivered Hisui in Kaede’s stead. The monk and demon slayer survived. And were breeding like rabbits, already siring twin girls and a son. Even Kagome who just recently returned from “her world”, as Inuyasha called it, was adapting well to her new life.
Life moved on without her. She knew it would, but she couldn’t help but feel envious of everything she could never have. It left her bitter.
She did not return to the village for months after that.
Spring turned into Summer, which rolled into Autumn, and the itch to return to the village became overwhelming. It became so powerful that she no longer avoided scratching.
And like a drug, once she got a taste, she could not stop. It became a daily occurrence to swing by and see if she could catch a glimpse of him.
Which was ridiculous, the entire world was her domain, and she was determined to see every part of it. The whole point of her freedom was that she could no longer be held down. But here she was, clinging to a hope of a glance at her lost love.
Kagura was furious at herself for allowing herself to be so desperate, but it had been months since she regained her consciousness. Not once since she returned had she caught a glance of the mysterious Lord. It wasn’t until one day that she eavesdropped onto a conversation between Rin and Kagome, she found out that he visits Rin on the day of the full moon. To her excitement, it was just a week away.
For the first time since being the wind, she counted her days.
The dawn of the full moon, Kagura rushed in with the sun. She was not sure what she was expecting, but just the thought of his molten gold eyes makes her weak. Anxiously she awaited his arrival as self doubt bombarded her mind, making her want to flee.
Hardening herself, she paced around Kaede’s hut where Rin was sleeping. She tried to keep herself busy by blowing off cobwebs and pushing loose dirt from the roof. That was short lived, so she did every hut in the village. And soon she found herself swirling around, impatiently waiting for her chance to catch a glimpse of silver hair.
A couple hours after dawn, Rin emerged from the hut. A huge grin was plastered on her face as she happily rushed to the town’s center. Kagura followed, right on her heels. Eager as Rin was to see the Lord of the West. However, to Kagura's disappointment, Rin was just meeting Kagome to start her daily chores. Begrudgingly, Kagura followed them to fields where they harvested different herbs.
Kagura paced nervously beside the humans. It was almost mid afternoon and there was still no sign of Sesshomaru. Rin also had said nothing of it, and she worried she picked the wrong day. She was beginning to lose hope, until Kagome's word's shocked her to her core.
“I hope it’s not so windy when Sesshomaru shows up, I would hate for it to ruin your day.” Kagome said, holding down her woven hat tightly to her scalp.
Kagura freezes at Kagome’s words, like she is holding her breath. The thought of her element distributing Sesshomaru and Rin’s quality time had never crossed her mind. However, once it was there, it burned into her. Disgust and self-loathing coursed through her. Even now, she was going to be a burden to Sesshomaru.
Preparing to save-face and leave, Rins words stopped her in her tracks.
“Don’t be silly, Lord Sesshomaru loves the wind.” Rin says easily with a laugh, and Kagura releases the breath she was holding as a gust of wind. Kagome’s hat got caught in the burst, and went flying into the sky.
“Well, right now, I don't.” Kagome sighed, watching her hat fly off into the distance. Kagura wished the priestess could feel her presence right now. If she could, she would know that Kagura was not one bit sorry. In fact, she felt pretty smug about it.
She didn’t get much time to think about what Rin had said, as a thick demonic aura was quickly coming down on them. Kagura was the first one to notice as Sesshomaru approached on the back of his two headed dragon. His powerful energy electrified and disturbed the air around him.
Panic course through her. For months she thought about seeing him again, and now that he was here, she was terrified. Instinctually, she fled from the humans side. Inwardly she cursed her cowardice, as she watched from the tree line as Rin excitedly greeted her Lord. However, she could not help but admit that it was a cute scene. The little girl jumped and waved her arms, like a child greeting their parents after a long day.
From a distance, she watched Sesshomaru land and greet his ward and Kagome. Slowly she crept back in, still keeping away from the group. Close enough where she could still hear them, but far enough where she could escape unnoticed. Rin was eagerly recounting something, and the two adults listened quietly. After a moment, Kagome turned to Sesshomaru.
“You’re lucky, it’s been really windy today. It just died down.” Kagome tucked her messy hair behind her ear, not hiding her annoyance.
Sesshomaru’s eye widened a millisecond before they scanned the field around them. His eyes seemed to hone in where Kagura approximately was. A small smirk flirted with his lips as his glance turned back to Kagome. “Is that so?”
“Yea, it took my favorite hat.” Kagome huffed.
“It would look better on her anyway.” Rin laughed, earning a confused look from the priestess. There was no further explanation, as she led the way back to the town. “Come on, let’s go dry these.”
Kagome followed, continuing her education about proper herb blending. Sesshomaru stayed, eyes still lingering where Kagura was hiding. For a moment, she was wondering if she should approach, but he turned and followed his ward before she could make a decision.
All evening she kept her distance. Not like she had much of a choice. She was locked out when they all retired to Kaede’s hut, and the wind didn’t belong indoors.
Rude. She thought to herself as she waited outside. What was said behind closed doors was a mystery to Kagura. A mystery she couldn't solve as they spoke quietly to themselves for a couple hours. She wanted to knock down the hut so she could hear them.
What was she missing out on? Were they talking about her? Did he ever talk about her?
Well, she could know. The only thing standing in her way was four thin walls. With just a little push... There would be no more mystery.
But alas, she restrains herself and returns to her musings.
It was at dusk, Inuyasha returned from his patrol to gather Kagome. She had no problem hearing Inuyasha shout at his older brother, or the very firm “Sit Boy.” from Kagome.
Kagome pulled Inuyasha out of the hut by the ear, all while apologizing sweetly to her in-law. They bickered playfully all the way back to the hut they called their home. It was sweet that they still had the same fire they had all those years ago.
It wasn’t much longer until Sesshomaru emerged from the hut, and Kagura flew back. She watched as Rin tried not to cry as she said her farewells, Kaede patting the girl’s shoulders to calm her down. He tossed her hair before saying his only and final farewell, leaving a brave faced Rin who returned with Kaede back to her hut.
Kagura watched in the distance as her moment slipped by. Gracefully he walked to the meadow where he had left his steed. However she could not find the courage to approach. She knew he was leaving, and that she would not get the chance again for another month, but the thought didn’t bother her. She had gotten to see him again, and she was content. As the wind another month meant nothing. There would be another chance.
However, she couldn’t help feeling an overwhelming amount of disappointment in herself. Even now she was too afraid to stand up for what she wanted.
She watched sadly as he packed his belongings on the beast. She was about to leave, but instead of mounting his dragon, he continued to walk deeper into the meadow. Curious, she followed him. Excited and anxious energy coursed through her as she watched Sesshomaru sit in the middle of the field. Chin tilted skyward, his eyes lazily stared at the stars above.
Recognizing her moment, she cautiously approached. He made no movement, or sign of acknowledgement that he was aware of her presence. Deep in his thoughts, his eyes searched the sky for answers. She blew gently from the grass, before raising to face his sad eyes.
Just a touch. Kagura ghosts a caress over his face. Softly, her winds breeze over his stripes and through his bangs. He froze for a moment, eyes widening, before relaxing.
“Kagura.” He sighed, closing his eyes and leaning into her embrace.
She pulled back instantly, an absent heart pounds wildly within her. His eyes open half way, and she takes in the beautiful molten gold orbs. They searched the air for someone that was not there. Wondering if maybe he had just imagined it.
Hesitantly, she caressed his cheek again. This time feathering over his stripes, and through a lock of hair that was on the wrong side. A small throaty growl escaped, obviously liking what she did. His eyes remained half open, fixated on the spot he thought she was. Boldening her, she ran herself through his hair and mokomoko, sending strands flying.
“I knew it was you.” Sesshomaru said softly. The very same words he said back then, stirring old painful emotions.
There were so many things she wished she could say to him. Things that she regretted not saying when she was still alive. If she could do it all over again, she would have been honest with her feelings. Naraku be damned.
Now she would never have the chance.
Gently she returned to face him, blowing back some of the stray locks of hair. His clawed fingers push back the wind-teased tresses, and a ghost of a smirk adornes his lips. She stirred the grass at his fingertips, embracing them in the blades.
They sat in silence, enjoying the peace, and in the quiet, she danced for him. Bringing in leaves, feathers, and petals, she twirled them along the grass as she moved around Sesshomaru. Flirting with danger, she would graze close to his body. However, she was especially careful not to have anything actually touch him as it was part of her performance. He would watch her show in awe as she glided across the soft grass. Her winds telling their story in the blades. Captivated, he watched her every move. The perfect audience.
She kept up the dance before settling beside him. They enjoyed each other’s company in silence before Sesshomaru started speaking. He told her what happened after Naraku, and how he earned Bakusaiga. Never before had he spoken so much, but as he continued his tale, she would do her best to respond with her element. When there was nothing left to say or if it just felt right, he would stop talking, and they would sit in comfortable silence. It continued all night, until they ended up watching the sunrise together.
There was no telling how long they could have enjoyed each other’s company, but it was disturbed by a very tired half demon.
“Sesshomaru?” Inuyasha asked with a yawn, making Sesshomaru jump. He must have been starting his patrol for the day, as sleep still clung to him. “Who are you talking to?”
Sesshomaru stood slowly, not used to being caught off guard. Using the opportunity, Kagura said her farewell by running through his hair and flying high above into the clouds.
With a small smirk, he turned away from his younger half brother. “To the wind.”

Kagura gasped as air filled her newly formed lungs. Her eyes shot open to gather her bearings. Absentmindedly, her hand clutched her chest; and what she expected to be empty, pound wildly in her chest. The heart she died for, now raged against her ribs. A grin broke out as she fought back tears.
She felt him lower himself to her level. Glancing up, her eyes met Sesshomaru’s. All worries of her previous life melted away as she smiled.
His eyes held a deeper intensity. Behind his golden orbs swirled sadness, regret, and longing. But mostly, uncertainty. As if she would just disappear into the wind again. His palm hesitantly reached out, and carefully caressed her cheek. Once that small contact, his facial features softened as he stared into his eyes.
“It's you.” Kagura whispered softly leaning into his palm. Reaching out, her fingertips dragged gently against his chest.
Her words stirred something in him, and his eyes softened in a way she would never thought possible.
“Kagura.” His voice was pained as his stare bore into her, but she shushed his words with her lips. As they embraced, the wind stirred on it’s own violation, blowing loose white and yellow petals into the sky.
Everything was right, now.
Now that she was found.

PUBLIC VS. NON-PUBLIC INFORMATION post-hisui / ingo comes back home edition
( pretty strongly tied to @sekizein‘s emmet and our thread, but it can be adapted to be applicable to all cases~ )
PUBLIC INFO ( everyone knows, or it’s general common knowledge )
ingo is emmet’s twin brother; they used to run together the battle subway.
he suddenly disappeared; how it happened is still unknown. it has been common for many people to think he was dead.
just as suddenly, he reappeared on the tracks of the battle subway almost a year later ( 8 to 11 months ). his clothes were ripped and he seemed extremely confused and in distress.
since his reappearance, the battle subway is indefinitely closed.
SEMI-PUBLIC INFO ( infos that aren’t hidden, but not talked about openly, either. your muse might need to be a friend or an observant common frequenter of the subway to know these )
he suffers of amnesia. he seems to have forgotten many things about his life, but he still reacts instinctively at what he used to do ( like being able to find perfect balance while the train is moving ). it is NOT publicly known how strong his amnesia is.
he has scars on his hands and upper arms typical of poison contact; furthermore, since his return he instinctually isn’t afraid to approach poison-type pokémons and even pick them up, even when they are poisonous to the touch. while he isn’t immune to its effect, he seems to bear poison much better than common people. he can’t remember how he got the scars nor where his resistance to poison came from.
he has lost weight, to the point of being worringly underweight. he’s trying to put some kilos back, but he seems to eat very slow and with difficulty since his return, like he isn’t used to eat modern-kind of food anymore.
NON-PUBLIC INFO ( things ingo doesn’t talk about. these are info that only emmet knows; anyone else might require us talking about it )
apart from his name, he forgot everything and everyone, emmet included. furthermore, he also can’t remember where he’s been while gone.
he falls asleep with extreme difficulty, and when he does, his dreams are unrestful - he thinks that it’s some memory trying to resurface, but he isn’t sure.
when he can’t sleep, he tends to chat a lot with one of his pokémons, if they’re feeling awake enough. he does it in a whisper, to avoid waking up emmet, and usually makes questions about their life before he disappeared. he tries not to make too many of them at once, though, to not unsettle both his pokémons nor himself with how little he remembers.
he’s afraid of the dark - always been, but since his return it seems to have worsened a bit. if he’s in a dark place, he instinctively releases chandelure, and always keeps them out at night.

[/puts flower crown on cana's head] c:
Spring sunlight filtered through the trees in their little patch of shade and warmed her tanned skin pleasantly. Her nap was undisturbed for the most part, other than the occasional chirp of a bird or chitter of a native animal that dwelled within the palace gardens. They didn’t seem disturbed by Cana’s presence and as long as she kept any unwanted eyes from her spot beneath the weeping branches, she was all but invisible. A Glamour Card also helped as added insurance so that no one stumbled upon her spot and disturb her. There was only one person who would see through her spell and she had other duties to attend to.
Thus, Cana lay comfortable beneath the shade of the tree in the royal gardens and waited for her companion’s return. The weather helped aid Cana to lull her into a tranquil state, no doubt that when found, she would see the veil of peace drape over her visage.
It wasn’t quite warm enough where the jobs at the guild would keep her busy-- or more importantly, near Crocus, but no one noticed her fixation on taking missions that were close towards the capital of the Fiore Kingdom-- or if they did, no one said a word to her about it. For that, Cana was grateful for. But as the season changed for the celebration of fertility, growth and kindled beginnings, so did the people: and along with it, the pious maiden of the Fiorean Kingdom.
Spring would bring animals to heat, as instinct demanded by nature and thus driving them to mate; in a not-so-subtle nod to nature, the royal court at the palace in Crocus also conducted the same ritual, though it was dressed in a manner that was ‘civilized’ and pertaining to postering acts. In Cana’s opinion, the animals had a better idea of getting on with hooking up than the fops in the royal court-- but that was probably why Cana avoided attending to any parties at the palace. Politics were far more deadly and more than likely to get anyone killed, no matter if they were a lord or a wizard from the famous Fairy Tail guild. An act of flirting was just another warfare, one that Cana was ill-equipt to dealing with-- and had very little patience for the posterity of it all. The Lords and Ladies of the Crocus Toyal Court were on another playing field after all.
For Hisui, however, Cana would put on a harlequin suit and do a song & jig if she asked. Fortunately, the princess didn’t need to hire any clowns, though she knew several someones that fit the description (the haunting echo of Men...Men... elicited a shiver of disgust), so Cana was saved from filling in that particular job. She would be happy being her invited guest and friend, though there was also a danger in that as well. It worried Hisui, though she didn’t say it in words, but in her gestures and shift in body language, that bringing the card mage into the fold of the royal court would be akin to tossing a lamb to a denn of wolves. Fairies-- which Cana reminded Hisui, with much amusement-- had taken on much more dangerous enemies, that even lords and ladies with sharp smiles and sharper wiles would shirk from. That sort of logic won most arguments, but not all.
Arranging the decorations for the Crocus Royal Spring Ball required Hisui’s presence-- Cana suspected leaving the arrangements to a hired designer was too much to hope for (and she got a look for offering the suggestion wryly) but Hisui, bound in her duty as she was, merely smiled and approached her and placed a kiss to her cheek. They were alone in her room and weren’t at risk of being disturbed. But they both knew there was always a danger of getting caught: both of them flirted with it, but evenutally their ‘friendly’ acquaintance wouldn’t be overlooked by the disinterested. Eventuallly people would become curious. Eventually, people would start to look closer-- and neither of them, moreso Hisui than Cana, could afford the discovery of their relationship.
The imprint of her kiss said what words couldn’t. Both women learned to adapt to make their relationship work, which Cana rose to the challenge a lot faster than her gentle princess(and Cana tried to ignore the creeping feeling of possession when refering to Hisui as hers). Still, they adapted and made a game out of their situation.
Hisui looked at Cana and smiled.
Wait for me?
She didn’t need to tell Cana where and Cana didn’t announce that she would wait for her. They both knew she would.
And she knew the place: it was there’s after all.
She didn’t sense her approach, which told the card mage a few things: that Hisui was trying very hard to be quiet and wanted to let Cana continue napping was the most likely outcome. It also let Cana know that her illusion worked and they would be virtually hidden from world-- until they called Hisui away, but Cana nor Hisui would voice this fact aloud.
Warmed by sunlight-- and by the presence of Hisui-- Cana pulled herself awake with a slow effort. Sleep for the lush was selfishly covetted, so the effort to pull her from the her dreams was immense. It helped that one of her dreams was already made a reality and something tangible for her to hold onto.
Something was placed on top of her head.
That was another thing that helped wake her up though hearing Hisui coo and giggle certainly helped foster the tender affection that welled inside Cana. At that point, Cana was pretending to sleep and she lie waiting to see what the princess would do. Hisui seemed to fuss a little at her hair and the object placed on top. The tips of her digits lay a gentle sweep against her temple, taking along a wayward strand of hair. At the same time, Cana reacted-- eyes opened, a grin flashing wide and mischievious-- and arms encircled her waist and crushed her against her.
Tumblr media
Form to form, chest to chest, their limbs entangled askew, it was an unelegent position and definitely not something either of them would want to be caught envolved in. More pressingly because their position would likely lead to dangerous questions and a conclusion that would put lives at risk-- hers and Hisui’s specifically. But presently, protected in Hisui’s secret garden and by Cana’s clever glamour, their clumsy intimacy is their’s alone to know and enjoy.
Both were caught in breathless laughter that they kept at hushed volumn and Cana carefully settled Hisui atop her lap. Her dress made the endeavor hindersome, but not unmanueverable and when the last tinkle of laughter faded, they stared at each other.
It was the fall of petals and the scent of flowers that helped deduce what Hisui had done, but Cana merely raised an eyebrow.
❝So...I take it I’m being made ‘Princess For A Day’?❞
Cana was teasing of course. She mainly hoped to inspire a playful retort or a blush-- or both, which knowing Hisui, the princess held a presdesposition to do both reactions. Both were welcome and adored, to which she listened to Hisui’s reaction with a matching expression of amusement and fondness.
The flower crown may have been an impulse. Or maybe, Hisui had become bespelled by Cana’s sleeping figure. It was hard for the fortune teller to say, when Cana could ready Hisui’s expression well-- her heart and thoughts were her own however, and Cana wouldn’t intrude upon those facets of her loves character. But the gesture of the flower crown was what mattered to Cana and it was what ended up being the activity that encompassed their time together.
Teaching Cana to make a flower crown like the one Hisui made for her was only one of the many gifts the princess gave. And by the time Cana finished weaving the last stem into a circlet, Cana replaced Hisui’s crown-- an overbearing burden of cold metal --with a living wreath woven with flowers from the secret garden, made by love and trust.
Cana watched Hisui fuss with her crown of flora. Without a word, Cana took Hisui’s hands gently and brought the back of each to her lips. Her kisses were more for ceremony, like a token parted upon by a suitor, a knight enlisting their service-- or a servant honoring their master. Cana was neither of these things and Hisui knew it. But the intent behind it was different. She placed her honor as a lover would to her own: an offering of devotion, the gift of her heart.
The card mage couldn’t offer Jewels (the currency or the boubles), titles or glory to Hisui any more than Hisui could off her crown and walk away from her duty-- her birthright-- in order to live the life she wanted. But Cana didn’t ask for that wich was impossible anymore than Hisui did, so they gave and accepted what was and could be given and accepted.
Cana’s fingers linked together with Hisui’s, intwining gently, giving the card mage little obsticle when she leaned forward and snared Hisui’s lips in a kiss. It was gentle as the temperament between them was, though that would very well change at either one’s beckoning. They certainly weren’t strangers to each other’s passions, though no doubt Cana would incite further flames between them. Nevertheless, Cana kept things tame between them until Hisui broke the kiss-- a little breathlessly, which Cana couldn’t help feeling smug about-- before the lush let go of her hands to wrap her arms around Hisui in a loose hug. She waited until the other woman settled against her form, heard her sigh with contentment.
❝I love you Hisui.❞
She didn’t hear her acknowledgement and wasn’t hurt by her silence. The sound of her slow breathing told her that Hisui was exhauted and had fallen asleep the moment her head settled against Cana’s shoulder. She looked to the sky: the sun was still high, meaning Hisui’s people wouldn’t come calling for her for another hour or so. The glamour card would buy her the time to catch the sorely needed rest, but eventually a search part would come looking for Hisui: and her gardens were always the first place they searched.
Cana fought the war of what she wanted and settled for what she held; a quick flick of her wrist summoned a card from her sleeve (another card trick), the front baring an hour glass. A murmur and it glowed before the picture began to move: the sands started falling, signifying the count down of time that remained between them before Hisui was required to go back.
Without a word, Cana sighed. And finally, gave in to the lull of peace they created, just like their crown of flora, and fell asleep along side Hisui.

Species: Human
Age: REALLY old
Sexuality: Asexual
FC(s): Hisui Kujou ( Joshikousei no Mudazukai ) || Nana Komatsu
Bio: Known as the Land of the Rising Sun, Japan is a reserved but diligent woman who is still adapting to modern trends and sensibilities, as well as to the ever-evolving and changing world around her. For a long time, she grew under China’s care, until she felt like it was time to move on and have her own growths and achievements as a nation.
It was a slow but steady process, mainly due to the centuries of isolation from the world since the island’s borders were closed to anyone but the Netherlands. Eventually, in no small part thanks to a persistent young nation known as America, Japan opened the country, not wanting to stay behind to her peers.
Note: Headcanon based for the most part.

V001: Land of the Rising Sun
Default main verse. Sakura is a respectable young woman who has endured many tries and tribulations over the course of her life and it’s still going strong as the personification of Japan.
V002: Of Drawing and Gamer Skills
Modern verse. Sakura Honda, in her early twenties, is currently living a type of life she thought would be impossible for her: streaming videogames and drawing for a living. On their own, both can’t sustain her, but since Patreon exists she has been able to pay her taxes and earn extra money on the side with her commission and attempts at comedy. No, really, the full streamer part took her by surprise, never considering herself as very funny.

REBOOOOOT!! The Challenge for the Next Generation
The Half-Demon Girls Who Fight in the Modern and Feudal Eras
“Inuyasha” is an original story by Takahashi Rumiko that was adapted into an anime in 2000 and became a worldwide hit. The story of the fierce battle with the demon, Naraku, centering around the “Shikon Jewel” said to grant any wish, was put to an end by Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru with the assistance of Kagome and others. After the battle ended, Inuyasha and Kagome married and with the conclusion that they were starting a new life, the curtains on the story drew to a close.
10 years have passed since then. Now entering the Reiwa era, production on a new story about the daughters of Inuyasha and Sesshōmaru entitled “Hanyō no Yashahime” has begun. Production of the anime is being done by Sunrise, who also produced the Inuyasha series. Satō Teruo, who was the assistant director in “Inuyasha The Final Act”, will be taking on the role of director. With series composition being done by Sumisawa Katsuyuki, animation character design by Hishinuma Yoshihito, and Wada Kaoru overseeing the music, the “Inuyasha” staff have gathered once again. The perfect production set-up as been put together with Takahashi Rumiko herself drawing the main character design.
“Hanyō no Yashahime” is an original story by Sumisawa. The protagonists are three girls. Towa and Setsuna are twin sisters and Sesshōmaru is their father. Moroha is the daughter of Inuyasha and Kagome, but she has lived alone since childhood, so she does not have any memories of her parents for the most part. Looked down upon by demons and shunned by humans, what will the girls, who are “half-demons”, battle and what sort of future will they strive for? We had producer Naka Toshikazu and animation character designer Hishinuma Yoshihito, talk about the composition of the plan and their feelings on the production.
The New Charms Coming from the Girls
Higurashi Towa A half-demon girl who has Sesshōmaru’s blood and is extremely skilled in martial arts (possibly inherited from her father). In order to take back her younger twin sister, Setsuna’s, “sleep”, she decides to return to the feudal era.
Towa wears a uniform with slacks, but one can tell she is a girl by her body line and facial expressions. The white hair she inherited from her father, Sesshōmaru, and the red streak in her hair are characteristic.
Setsuna Sesshōmaru’s daughter. She makes a living as a demon slayer. Having had her sleep stolen by the Dream Butterfly, she does not have any memories of her childhood and has forgotten her elder twin sister, Towa.
Setsuna is calm and collected. One can sense that personality from her cool expression as well. She wears a white fur just like her father, Sesshōmaru.
Moroha Wielder of the demon sword, Kurikaramaru, and known as “the monster killing Moroha”. A bounty hunter who specializes in slaying demons. Inuyasha and Kagome’s quarter-demon daughter.
Moroha, who’s characteristic black hair is similar to Kagome’s, wears a big ribbon on her head that is like Inuyasha’s ears. Her mischievous facial expression vaguely feels like her father’s.
[There are bios on their weapons as well, but it’s information that’s already known so I’m skipping it]
It Started with Wanting to do “Inuyasha” Again
— Where did the plan for “Hanyō no Yashahime” stem from?
Naka: Even after production for “Inuyasha The Final Act” ended, the staff and cast headed by producer Suwa (Michihiko) (associated with Yomiuri TV at the time) gathered and continued to go on once a year trips with Rumiko-sensei. There, Suwa-san said, “I want to do an “Inuyasha” TV anime again.” and it seems that was the start. Then the conversation went to if it’s a story about the second generation, we can make it an original story. Sumisawa-san came up with a number of different story concepts and proposed them to Rumiko-sensei. After much back and forth, it was ultimately decided that the daughters of Sesshōmaru would be the protagonists of the story. The anime adaption basically began to proceed immediately after that.
— What do you think is the secret to “Inuyasha”’s popularity?
Naka: It boasted top class popularity not only in Japan but also on major American streaming service, Hulu, and its popularity overseas was very high. This means that the content (of the story) is strong. During a time when Sumisawa-san wasn’t making a concrete move, a fan at an overseas event that he attended said, “I would love for you to make another “Inuyasha” anime.” and he said that that has been one of his driving forces. Currently, it has been streamed and broadcasted in over 30 countries, so in a broad sense, it’s a title that can be dispatched worldwide.
Hishinuma: The setting is the feudal era, but it doesn’t follow true history. In the end, slaying demons is the main (focus), so you can enjoy without having any knowledge. There, it has Rumiko-sensei’s serious drama with the periodic love story and comedy mixed in. That gap is what I think makes it fun. Most likely, the number one reason why there were so many young (children) fans was because the story was easy to watch and understand.
— Regarding the production of “Hanyō no Yashahime”, what points of the previous work were you conscious of?
Naka: Putting together components that were different from the “Inuyasha” charm in every sense. In the previous work, it was a story about a son surpassing his greater demon father. If Inuyasha’s son was the main character and the parents made appearances, the parents would take all the juicy parts. No matter how hard the son tries, he could never surpass his parents. Hence, when we were told that the protagonist would be Sesshōmaru’s daughter, I myself was able to accept it without issue. Moreover, I felt that that would be more fun. It’s easy to imagine what Inuyasha and Kagome’s child would be like, but you could say Sesshōmaru’s children, twins no less, stir up the imagination. Rather than following the structure and story of “Inuyasha” as it was, we thought we could create a work that those who watched the original story could easily accept.
— What sort of meaning is behind the strong impacting catch phrase “Sesshōmaru has a daughter” shown in the teaser?
Naka: I think the appeal of “Inuyasha” is the love triangle between Inuyasha, Kikyō, and Kagome, as well as Sesshōmaru being very cool. That being said, it’s no use tracing the same love triangle structure. Thus, by hitting the spot of sisters Towa and Setsuna being separated, there’s a prominent difference between the previous work, and above all, it would grab the interest of fans who wanted a new work. We’ve remodeled the setting and story, but from a picture and production perspective, it has inherited the comedic feel and screen tempo of a Rumic work.
— Hishinuma-san, what did you think when you saw the drafts that Rumiko-sensei drew?
Hishinuma: I instinctively thought if the lineup was these three, then something fun could be created. Rumiko-sensei advised me not to be too conscious of the “parent” when designing the character’s facial expressions and movements. If these kids were around 20 years old, they would’ve had aspects similar to their parents, but they are simply 14-year-old girls. As I drew, I thought about what these 14-year-old girls, who are a little than what Kagome was back then, would think about as they lived their lives.
— In what way did you make revisions using the draft as a base?
Hishinuma: Setsuna and Moroha, who live in the feudal era, were just like the draft I received, but for Towa, who lives in the modern era, I had to redo her hairstyle a little bit. She has short hair so thinking about how she moves, I did things like adjust the placement of the highlight (in her hair) and add a few details to her uniform. Also, she wears male clothing so in a sense, I tend to draw her roughly, but I consciously make sure that the look in her eyes and her actions are that of a girl.
— What did you enjoy during the character designing process?
Hishinuma: Coming up with the grown-up versions of characters that appeared in the previous work like Kohaku, Kagome’s younger brother Sōta, and Miroku and Sango’s son Hisui, was a lot of fun. Kohaku is set as the head of the demon slayers, so I imagined he built up a lot of experience and matured into an adult. However, he may have let his guard down which could be the reason behind the scar (on his face). I imagined those kinds of things as I drew.
Naka: We’ve put in many different components that both new and old fans can enjoy, so it would make us happy if you could look forward to the broadcasting.
To Fans! Two Points!
It is OK If You Don’t Know the History
The story itself is created in a way that one can enjoy it without having any knowledge of “Inuyasha”. In addition, Naka stated “You don’t need to have any knowledge on the feudal era, so please enjoy it leisurely.” Towa and the others who run around between 2 eras; the expectation of the three girls’ activities heightens!
Pay Attention to the Characters Aside from the Main Ones As Well
Other characters like Miroku and Sango’s son, Hisui, as well as others connected to “Inuyasha” will make an appearance. In addition, there will be designs aside from the main characters that will make one go “They look similar to someone from that work” …? Enjoy Rumiko’s work in every nook and cranny of the screen!
