Here's a handful of scene studies! Drawing a certain baby bantha recently made me want to revisit the scenes from the script exerpt where Knox first meets the ottaburas. So here he is meeting all sorts of animal friends, including seeing baby Thea for the first time.

27. Slow Burn
Part 27 to Every Little Thing!
Their schedule was slightly back to normal the next morning. Gator was up with her and dressed the twins on his own while she worked on breakfast again. It felt slightly normal, just enough to make her feel like everything would be alright.
“So impatient,” He laughed, tsking as he started to feed Knox a jar of baby food. Daphne had officially decided that she would have to up his portions again. He was a hungry baby, “I’m doing my best, it’s hard to open.” He mumbled, struggling to twist the top off with his wrist while Knox continued to whine in anticipation.
“Do you want me to do it?” She asked him as she moved away from the stove, turning from the eggs she was frying for him for just a moment. He shook his head as he flicked his eyes up towards her.
“Already got it,” He grinned as he showed it to her, “Carrots. Yummy.” He took a little whiff from the jar, wrinkling his nose before he brought the spoonful up to Knox’s mouth. He kicked his feet as he took a bite, calming down instantly.
“He likes just about everything so far,” She replied gently, “I wonder when we should test if they’re allergic to peanuts.” She pointed out, thinking that it would be better to know sooner than later. However, she’d need his help when they did it. Her reaction was always too severe, even the slightest contact of something that had nuts made her skin break out into hives.
“That sounds scary,” He admitted as his eyes wandered over her posture, like he was truly fearful, “Maybe when they’re a little bit older?” He suggested a second later, looking relieved as she nodded her head and passed him his plate.
“Sure,” She smiled as she kissed the top of his head, “You’re so good with them.” She told him seriously, smiling at the way Piper and Knox’s eyes lit up as they turned to face her. She sent them a gentle wave, giggling at the soft squeals that left their lips.
“Thank you,” He mused gently, “I appreciate that.” She leaned over him, resting her cheek against the top of his head as she brushed her hands across his biceps. Knox reached for more food, opening his mouth wide as Gator brought the spoon up to his lips again.
“You’re a great daddy,” She told him seriously, “Don’t doubt yourself.” She mumbled, closing her eyes as she held onto him. She inhaled gently, enjoying the warm way he smelt. She wanted to have him back.
“Hey,” He smiled stiffly as he approached Daphne later that morning, “I have another trip to do.” He said quickly, ripping the bandaid off as delicately balanced Piper in her arms.
“Another one?” She asked him in disbelief, “Where to this time?” She was doing her best not to whine, but she really didn’t want him to go. She wanted him to stay with her.
“Same area,” He shrugged his shoulders, “Minnesota.” He drew his eyes away, smiling gently as he brushed a finger under Piper’s palm gently. He moved it gently, making her giggle in response.
“How come you’re going all the way to Minnesota?” She asked him seriously. She didn’t know much about State lines and how that went for different police territories, but she didn’t understand how it was their job to work on a case in that specific state.
“It’s because of the state trooper that was shot,” He told her quickly, “Nothing that bad has happened in a while.” He reminded her, his brown eyes soft as he looked up at her features. She did her best to keep from sighing as she began to feel a little guilty.
“I get that,” Daphne huffed as she blew her bangs out of her face, “I know your job is busy and dangerous but it’s like every other day you’re going back and forth. It’s hours away.” She reminded him this time, wishing he could understand how hard it was for her and the twins. They needed him.
“I know and I’m sorry,” He reasoned as he touched the side of her cheek, “Everything will be over once we get this case cracked.” Piper squealed in her arms, holding her arms out and kicking her legs as she watched Gator.
“No one else is working on this case?” Daphne asked him, still feeling down in the dumps as she rocked Piper back and forth in her arms. Gator sighed deeply.
“We all are,” He said a second later, “It’s just-, it’s all hands on deck. You know that.” He kept telling her, making her feel just a little more guilty as she nodded her head in agreement.
“I know,” She replied gently, “I just miss having you here with me.” She told him truthfully. She could take care of the twins on her own and with Ruby’s help, but it was harder when he was gone for such long hours. She knew that they missed him a lot.
“It won’t be that much longer,” He promised her for what felt like the hundredth time, “I’m sorry. I know.” He moved closer, resting his forehead against hers as they stayed there for a moment. She was filled with an overwhelming sense of dread as she held onto him with her free hand.
“I can’t do anything about it,” She sighed as she pushed her hair back. She could feel the stress lingering in her bones, “Neither can you. When do you have to go?” She asked him gently, knowing there was nothing to change his mind once it was set.
“Soon,” He said softly, “I just wanted to sit with you before I go.” She smiled, tugging him towards the couch before she plopped down with him. Piper giggled, wiggling her way towards Gator’s spare side before Knox gripped a hold of his knees in an attempt to pull himself up.
“I miss you.” She mumbled as she curled up to his chest, hoping that she wasn’t crushing him. He laughed as he pulled Knox up, then moved his arm around her waist and tugged her even closer.
“I miss you too,” He sighed, “This is almost worse than you being gone and ignoring me.” He teased her softly, his brown eyes flashing in amusement as he pulled the twins close on his lap.
“I wasn’t-,” She shook her head as his banter, “It’s worse?” She asked him, wrinkling her eyebrows in confusion as she was sure that she had heard him wrong. Knox wiggled back, giggled as he fell into Daphne’s lap.
“I’m worried I’ll lose you.” Gator admitted, looking a little solemn as he pressed the top of his palm against Piper’s growing locks. She giggled as she wrinkled up her little nose, staring up at him in interest.
“You won’t,” She told him quickly, “You’re stuck with me. We’re meant to be.” She told him seriously as she moved herself closer to him. He sighed deeply as she rested her cheek against his shoulder.
“Good.” He hummed in response as he laid his head on top of hers. She stayed there with him for a moment, watching the way Knox sprawled out and kept trying to press his little feet against Piper.
“Are you going?” She asked him suddenly, thinking of Roy’s event that was coming up soon. She wondered if she should break out the little formal outfits for the twins. They could all match there, even if she didn’t necessarily support Roy’s beliefs.
“What?” Gator looked at her curiously, sitting up a bit so he could get a better look at her. She sent him a quick smile.
“To the re-election?” She reminded him, pulling Knox away once Piper tried to fit his chunky leg into her mouth. She pouted as she fell back against Gator’s chest.
“Oh,” Gator paused, “No. He’s going to be busy that day. I’ll be busy with work anyways.” He shrugged his shoulders like it was no big deal, then quickly looked away to brush his finger against Piper’s mouth. He moved them across her lips, making a funny sound come forth as both of the twins started to giggle.
She knew he was trying to distract her and himself, but it didn’t work that easily. She knew he was disappointed, even if he didn’t say it outloud. She didn’t want him to feel bad. He was a great son and a great husband and father. She hated that Roy couldn’t see that.
“Or busy here,” She grinned as she touched the nape of his neck gently, “I bet those events are so boring anyways.” She told him seriously, faking a yawn as Gator started to brush his finger against Piper’s lips again.
“So boring,” He agreed with a smile, “You know, I’m gonna marry you one day.” He turned towards her, his features serious as he watched her. She felt a flush settling over her cheeks as she took in his words.
“Yeah?” She laughed as she watched the way his eyes flashed in amusement, “That’s not your proposal, is it?” She teased him as she tucked her hair behind her ears, pretending like she hadn’t been dreaming about this for the longest time. She was a little embarrassed to admit she had strong feelings that he’d propose at her senior prom.
“No,” He laughed, “I was just letting you know. I love you.” He whispered softly, his eyes flashing with admiration as he looked at her. She breathed in deeply, trying to keep her heart from beating out of her chest.
“I love you too.” She mused gently as she dragged her knuckles across his skin, “Go get that case solved and come back soon.”  She told him seriously, thinking about how desperately she would miss him. It would only be a few hours. She could handle that.
She was slowly getting used to doing things without him, which made her feel a little guilty. He couldn’t help that he was busy. She worked a lot when he was gone; making sure that the house was clean and that his clothes were all put away. She still avoided going to the basement, a little fearful over what she might find.
“Hey,” Daphne answered her phone surprised, “Oh wow, hi. It’s good to hear from you.” She spit out quickly, her mind racing as she thought of a hundred different questions to ask him. It had been too long. She had missed her brother.
“It’s good to hear you too,” Oliver laughed on the other end, “Sorry I’ve been busy.” He answered a little bluntly, but she shook it off. His tone didn’t matter. All that mattered was that she got to hear him.
“It’s okay,” She dismissed him quickly, “What’s going on? Where are you?” She asked him excitedly, wondering what he might be up to currently.
“I’m currently in Canada if you believe it or not,” Oliver started, “It’s actually pretty similar weather wise.” She thought about it for a moment, figuring that he was probably right. She hadn’t been that far North before.
“Oh I can believe that,” She laughed softly, “What are you doing there?” She questioned as she walked past the nursery, taking a quick glance in there to ensure that the twins were still fast asleep.
“It doesn’t matter,” He answered slowly, “How are you? The twins?” He seemed a little reserved in his tone, like he didn’t know how to talk to her either. It made her sad to think that they had grown that far apart.
“We’re doing good,” She replied, “They’re about to nap now. Knox is a big eater and Piper likes to squeal. Like the piglets.” She told him, laughing at her own words. They were pink in a similar manner too. Both of their cheeks would get red after they got too frustrated or did too much exercise.
“Right,” Oliver laughed, “You’re okay though?” His tone was slightly softer this time, as he seemed to be genuinely worried. She felt as if his dislike for Gator was still silly. It didn’t make sense to her. “Yeah,” She nodded her head softly, “Sometimes it’s hard because Gator has to work a lot, but I’m doing good.” She told him seriously, feeling like that described her predicament at the moment. She stared at the photos of them on the wall, admiring how happy they looked together. She wanted it to stay like that.
“I worry about you.” He said at last, bringing up the real reason he was upset. She exhaled softly, feeling like he could’ve checked in on her more often if he was really that upset.
“Oliver-,”
“Listen,” He sighed deeply, “He’s done bad things. I know you don’t believe that but he has.” His tone was slightly startling and she felt her mind swarming back to the case he was so busy with. She shook her head gently, knowing there was no point in getting all worked up about it. She trusted him.
“He’s a cop,” She drew out slowly, “I’m sure it does sound bad at times.” She decided on that being the best thing to say as she moved further down the hallway. She had a picture of Gator in his uniform, one that they’d taken at the station. He looked angry in it, but she thought of it as a front. He looked cute in her opinion, like he was trying to be tough.
“Just promise me you’ll be safe.” Oliver replied more fiercely. She furrowed her eyebrows together, feeling a little more confused suddenly.
“I will,” She said gently, “I’ll be safe.” She promised him as she felt the unbearable sense of gloom settling over her.
/////////////////////////////////////
“Hey,” She stirred a little bit, sighing loudly as she shifted closer to the pillows, “Daphne.” Gator’s voice was warm and thick, reminding her of honey as he moved in next to her. He pulled the sheets back, giving her a slight chill as she turned towards him.
“Hm?” She asked, half asleep as she struggled to get her eyes open. She yawned, her jaw parting widely as she focused on the feeling of the blanket being pulled over them.
“Sorry,” He mumbled as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her towards him, “I’m late again.” He told her gently, making her hum in response as he moved a finger against the strands of her hair.
“Mhm,” She agreed as her eyes stayed shut as one foot remained in her dreams, “S’okay.” She told him gently, wiggling her way towards him. She felt more comfortable now.
“I really love you.” He whispered a second later as he brushed his nose against the side of her face. She inhaled deeply, her lips twitching at the sensation.
“I love you too.” She replied back, still feeling like she was about to drift off into her dreams. It was silent for a moment as he brushed his fingers against her sides.
“Are you mad at me?” He asked a few minutes later, “Daphne?” He questioned again, making her blink rapidly as she tried to brush the sleepy haze from her mind.
“No,” She groaned, “Unless you have plans on waking me up.” She teased him, sighing gently as he continued to brush his nose against her skin. It felt nice. He always made her feel nice.
“Sorry,” He mumbled, “I just can’t sleep.” His apology sounded serious, causing her to roll over so she could face him better. She blinked softly, confused as to what was going on with him.
“Wanna talk about it?” She asked him as she brushed her fingers across his jaw. He leaned against her touch, like he was soaking in the feeling.
“I can’t,” He said underneath his breath, “I wish I could.” He told her, exhaling roughly as he rested his forehead against hers. He smelt like fresh mint and his shampoo that he used.
“I’m here for you.” She replied as she took his hand gently, bringing his knuckles up to her lips. She kissed them softly, feeling bad that he had to keep the stress of the job to himself. She wanted to help.
“I know,” He replied as he held onto her a little tighter, “I’m sorry for waking you.” She shook her head gently, feeling guilty for him thinking that was an issue. She wanted him to wake her up for times like these.
“It’s okay,” She told him tiredly, “I’m glad that you did.” She responded gently, clinging to him tightly as she memorized the way his body slid against hers.
/////////////////////////////////
By the next morning they were back to a similar routine, although Gator didn’t have to go into work that day. Daphne was ecstatic. She feared that she was being too clingy, but she couldn’t help it. She was attached to him.
“Hey,” Gator leaned against the doorway, his eyebrows knitted together as he watched her work for a moment, “Do you think your mom would watch them for a bit?” She finished getting the clean pants on Piper, tossing aside the ones that were covered in food.
“Oh,” Daphne paused as she straightened up, “I’m sure she wouldn’t mind. What’s going on?” She held out her arms, picking up Piper as she reached for her. She wiggled about, giggling and clearly happy that her daddy was still home.
“I just wanna show you something.” He responded, looking a little tense as he shifted once again. She watched him for a long moment, feeling nervous once again.
“Sure,” She said quickly, “You’re sure everything is okay?” She questioned slowly, trying to break down what he was thinking inside of his mind. He left her worried, even if he didn’t mean to do so.
“Yeah,” He said as he exhaled deeply, “There’s no rush.” He shrugged his shoulders, but still went to quickly pick out the twins outside clothes. It was too cold for them to go out without a jacket on.
He worked on dressing Knox, while she worked on Piper. She liked the little cute dresses and bows that she could decorate her in. She was sort of like a doll, a very expensive doll. Today she wore a little outfit that was themed around fall, even though it was already snowing. She liked the way the leggings matched the leaves on her little dress.
They were both dressed in their big jackets, along with little mittens and wooly hats. Knox looked less than pleased, not liking to be stuffed inside so many layers. It didn’t take long to make their way over there, but Daphne was still shivering by the time that they arrived.
“Hi,” Ruby grinned as she invited them inside, “Oh goodness, look at how cute you two are.” She cooed, smiling brightly as she knelt down next to the carriers. She pulled Knox out first, beginning to strip him of his layers before she sat him down and worked on Piper.
“Sorry to barge in,” Gator apologized as he held onto Daphne’s waist, “Do you care to watch them for just a little bit?” He asked, as polite and kind as he always was. Daphne stared at his side profile, admiring the way he chewed on his bottom lip when he grew nervous.
“Where are you two going?” Ruby asked curiously, smiling as she rattled one of the toys in front of Knox. Piper clung to her side, resting her head against her shoulder to signal that she was still tired.
“Just on a walk,” Gator finally answered, “I was going to show her how dad wanted to fix up the barn.” He nodded his head, smiling kindly as Daphne felt her eyebrows raising in surprise.
“Ah,” Ruby smiled as she turned her focus away from the twins, “That’s exciting. Take your time.” She brushed them off, giving them the signal that they were fine to go. Gator gripped her hand gently, leading her outside the door.
She followed behind him, linking their hands together as the cool breeze settled over them. She used her free hand to tug her hat down a little further, hating how cold she was growing. She seemed to get colder a lot easier since she’d given birth.
“Where are we going?” She asked him curiously, hoping that he really wasn’t going to show her some barn adjustments. She swayed their hands back and forth, squinting a little bit by how bright the sun was against the white snow.
“I have something to show you,” He replied as he linked their fingers together, “It’s down by the ranch.” He told her softly, making her believe that he might actually be showing her the barn. She chewed on her bottom lip.
“It’s not really about a barn upgrade, is it?” She asked him softly, doing her best to keep her features relaxed even though she really didn’t want to see that. He stalled his movements for a moment, and she almost felt bad for asking.
“No,” He chuckled softly as he glanced towards her, “It’s something else.” He told her quickly, making her nod her head as he took her further towards the ranch.
“What’s going on in there?” She asked, glancing back at the sounds that came from the little shed that they passed. It had been a while since she’d actually worked on the Tillman ranch. The building seemed new, as did the odd sounds that came from it.
“Just a cow that’s fighting back,” He responded as he pulled her away, “You shouldn’t go in there. There’s dangerous tools in there.” He told her quickly, glancing at her until she nodded her head stiffly. She had no desire to go anywhere on this ranch without him. She knew that her and Karen would eventually get into it again.
She stayed quiet as they walked past the barn, then further down to where one little tree rested. She peered at it, noticing that the rope that had held the tire swing was long gone. She wondered when Roy finally hacked it down.
He led her further down as she finally noticed a little path that was buried underneath the crunchy snow. She peered at it curiously before she looked up to the door that he gripped a hold of.
“Here,” Gator mentioned as he pulled the door open, “It’s in here.” He replied as he pulled it open, making her wince as the terrible smell hit her nose. It made her stomach churn so badly that she took a step back, feeling a lump of bile rushing forth as she almost lost her breakfast. She steadied herself, shaking her head as she dismissed the feeling of disgust that grew inside of her.
“Uh,” Daphne paused, “Isn’t this where you used to butcher the animals?” She wrinkled her nose, looking less than pleased at the thought. That, in her opinion, was the worst part about living on the ranch. She looked around, thinking that it looked as if it had recently been used.
“C’mon,” He motioned her forward, stepping around the buckets until they were greeted with another door, “This way.” She stepped around things carefully, not really wanting to trip or fall. She was surprised, genuinely having no idea that this existed. She figured they would’ve played many games here had she known about it.
“Okay,” She spoke with uncertainty as she followed close behind him, “It’s not very big.” She said as she looked around, holding her hands on her hips as she tried to ignore the bitter sensation at the back of her throat.
“Yet,” He laughed, reaching for a switch before he pulled a door open. She looked down the hallway in surprise, never before seeing it, “Ready?” He grinned as he popped it open, like it was some sort of surprise.
“How long has this been here?” She asked him incredulously, bending down so she wouldn’t hit her head on anything, “I’ve never seen this before.” She said in awe as she took a big step forward. He began to walk, almost leaving her behind as she did her best to examine it.
“Dad likes to keep it a secret,” Gator mumbled as he kept walking, “I thought you should know about it.” He glanced back at her, his eyes locking onto her features before he turned around again. She raised her eyebrows in surprise.
“Finally,” She laughed as she looked around, “It’s kind of creepy.” She told him truthfully as she moved over vines that grew from the earth. The smell smelt strongly of soil and damp grass. She touched the top of her head, fearing that some spiders may fall onto her head.
“It’s for safety,” He replied as he glanced back at her, “Then we go up.” He replied as he gestured towards the ladder. She stared at it for a long moment before she shook her head. It was almost like a maze.
“Where are we going?” She asked him seriously, watching as the lights danced off of his warm eyes. She wanted to lean forward and hold him suddenly, feeling like he desperately needed it.
“You’ll see.” He responded as he moved one of her hands onto the ladder. She held onto it for a moment before she turned to face him.
“I am not in shape for this.” She told him seriously, giggling as she thought of how ridiculous it sounded. It was true though. She felt like she had no strength anymore. She started to move slowly, gripping the wood tightly so she wouldn’t slip from it.
“Just shut up and climb,” He laughed as he followed behind her, “Pull it the other direction.” She struggled for a moment, trying to balance herself and get a good grip from it before she was able to pull the wooden door open. The sun shined brightly on her, making her squint before she slid out.
“So,” She drew out softly once she finally crawled free. She rolled around on the snow for a moment before she was able to straighten herself out, “It takes us outside of the ranch? How long has it been there?”
“Forever,” He grinned as he rested near her, “My however many great grandfather’s built it for a quick route. A fast escape.” He moved his palms onto his knees, still smiling as he gazed at her.
“A bit of history,” She felt her lips twitch as she looked at him, “I like that.” She nodded her head gently, but was still unsure of why he was showing it to her. He grew silent then, his lips turning into a frown as he pressed his thumb against the seam of his pants.
She watched him, noticing a solemn look settling over his features as the silence filled around them. It droned out the sound of the wind and his gentle breaths. She leaned forward, moving her palms onto his knees.
“What’s wrong?” She asked him gently, seriously as she blinked slowly. She needed him to give her some sort of answer. His composure was scaring her.
“You remember how to get in here?” He asked her instead, ignoring her question as he snapped his eyes up towards her. She paused for the longest moment before she nodded her head in agreement.
“Yeah,” She said, feeling like the route was easy enough, “Why?” She asked him sternly, desperately needing some reassurances from him. He was truly scaring her now. Had he really gotten into something bad? She needed to know.
“If anything ever happens I want you to take the twins through this route and run, you hear me?” She felt her heart hammering inside of her chest, gripping tightly as she processed his words. He was serious too. She could tell by his tone and by the stern lines on his features.
“What would happen?” She asked him incredulously, shaking her head as she tried to make sense of everything. She felt her eyes growing wet as she quickly sniffled, terrified that her worries were true. He was in trouble.
“Daphne-,”
“No,” She stopped him quickly, “You keep saying everything is fine but it’s not. Something’s wrong, now what is it?” She asked him harshly, pushing his hands away as he tried to grab a hold of her. She could feel herself shaking as she turned away from him.
“Nothing is wrong,” He promised as he reached for her hands again. She didn’t push him away this time. He gripped her tightly, squeezing them even harder, “I just want to make sure you’d be safe if anything did happen.” She shook her head, not believing him.
“Nothing is going to happen.” She told him sternly, turning to face him. His expression remained the same, like he didn’t believe her at all. She wrinkled her nose softly.
“Just to be safe.” He replied underneath his breath as he brushed his thumbs across her knuckles. She wrinkled her eyebrows together, trying to think about what could be so dangerous.
“I’d bring you too,” She said firmly as she looked at him, “You’d come with me and the twins. All of us.” She said at last, sniffling once again as she became overfilled with emotions. She didn’t want to lose him. She didn’t want him to think that he was less than saving.
“Of course.” He replied gently, not looking very promising as he nodded his head along. She shook her head, needing him to fully understand what she meant.
“Gator,” She exhaled harshly, “Promise me. Promise me that nothing is going on.” She replied instead, watching as the sun danced off of his pretty eyes. They looked a little more green suddenly, possibly from his camo hoodie. Either way, she wanted him to know that she was serious.
“Nothing’s going on,” He said softly, “This case is just stressing me out. I don’t know. I just thought I should show you.” He leaned forward, rubbing his nose against hers as she shut her eyes tightly. She wished she could believe him.
“You know I wouldn’t judge you,” She told him gently, “Even if you thought it was bad. We could work this out together.” He was silent for a moment before he leaned forward and kissed the tip of her head. He stayed there for a moment, holding onto her tightly.
“Everything is going to be fine,” He mumbled against her skin as he brought his hands up to cup her face. He tilted her head up towards him slowly and she stared at the way his features were wrinkled together in worry, “You don’t have anything to be scared about.”

Gas leak fixed. Luckily it was small and the gas company had someone at the house within 30 minutes of me calling. My husband is usually more panicky in situations like that but he was being super nonchalant at first. I googled what could happen and was immediately like 😳 nope. We are going to wait in the car. Knox was a trooper. It was of course right in the middle of dinner/bath/get ready for bed so it pushed all that back way later but oh well. At least we aren't going to die in our sleep tonight!

A Goodbye Letter
This is for all the Internet people that I’ve had the pleasure of getting to know for the past couple of months. Or who I have enjoyed and will miss even though they don’t know me all that well.
Also for those of you who don’t know, I go by (newblood40) on some other sights.
@rheawritesforfun I hope you keep enjoying your fanfictions and your art and I wish you luck at your job and Uni. You’re the reason why I got kickstarted on writing TMNT fanfiction to begin with so thanks for that.
@digitl-art-monstr You’ve been a blast to talk with. You’re very encouraging and sweet and I wish you the best of luck with your art and writing.
@fluffytriceratops I wish we could have gotten to know each other more. Life hasn’t been easy for you but you’re amazing for standing your ground and trying to find a way to make life more like life to you. I wish you well.
@thelaundrybitch We didn’t get to know each other all that well either, but I can tell you’re a fun and bubble-y person. I still love that little fanfic that you wrote for me. Thank you for your time.
@theitalianratmonkie I’m going to miss our banters. Me calling you cute. You hissing at me for it. It’ll never not make me smile. Thanks for being such a trooper. I wish you luck on your artistic future. (Edit: Thank you so much for the demon fursona! She’s so cute!)
@animemoonprincess Hey. I’m sorry life has been getting you down more than usual. We don’t know each other all that well, but I’m always rooting for you. Your stories always bring a smile to my face and your AMV’s are banger.
@swagginmun I’m going to miss your streams. You always make your streams feel like a second community. Like going to a gay café instead of a gay bar. Gay cafés should really exist. Thanks for all the laughs and your exuberance and your passion and just for being. Good luck with season 4 with out me.
@ninja-knox-ur-sox-off Hey, man. Keep simping for WishfulVixen’s art for me. I won’t be able to watch any of her streams in the future. I also hope you get plenty of rest. It’s hard getting tired of something that you love. I’ll miss your comics and fanfiction man. Stay sane.
@skellebonez We don’t really talk all that much, but just know that I read your fanfictions religiously and I’ve bookmarked a few for easy access and not just to reblog. Your writings give such life to me and I’m going to miss what new works you’ll do in the future. Good luck, guy.
@bones-of-a-rabbit Hey, we don’t talk all that much, but I appreciate the time I’ve gotten to have with you and everyone else on the discord Space Ace. Your art is so sweet and so expressive and sometimes scary. I wish you luck on your fanfic and on your girlfriend’s fanfic. Thank you for your time and for letting me in the community.
@spaciebabie I will miss your crazy ass. You are the Internet gremlin I hope to be one day. Your art is amazing and your humor is top notch. I wish I could keep seeing more of you. Thank you for being another reason why I smile.
@bamsara Yo. You don’t know me. If you do, you probably remember me from me trying to ask if I would use your Chika picture of Chika taking a screen shot of y/n in Sun’s arms. Anyways, thanks for all that you are. You’re the main reason why I even started writing my first FNAF fanfiction. Thanks for the inspiration and I hope you keep enjoying your art and writing.
@paper-lilypie You’re the second reason why I started writing my first FNAF fanfiction. Your art is so good and I love your writing. If your art and writing could be condensed into a candy they’d be lemon drops. My fav type of candy. Anyways, I’ll miss seeing where you’ll go with your story and art. I wish you well.
*******************************************************************************************
I think that’s everyone... Or well, everyone that I feel like has hit me in some way. There’s even more people who I’m going to miss, but a lot of you have inspired me to be me. To just do what makes me happy or you’ve inspired me to create and to enjoy.
Yah, some of you are probably thinking, but we didn’t even talk all that much. Or, I don’t even know who you are. Or, how did I inspire you, we barely know each other.
And that’s what I think is so scary and amazing about the Internet. Sure, since we’re all looking at a screen, it’s easy to think we don’t affect each other all that much, but we’ve put little pieces of ourselves on here.
I liked all your pieces that you all have shown, and they still make me smile. And once I’m back from my two years over sea, I’m sure you’ll have even more people that think the same.
Thank you. All of you.

Do you have any other SW OCs than the four you shared a bit about in a previous ask?
oof I have quite a few sw ocs! if you're curious about any of these guys (gn) you can lmk and I'll give you more info + probably some art heehoo
Nocte is the one I probably talk about the most :) he's CMO of the Coruscant Guard and the oc I've had the longest! he's Gruff Protective Brother and Soft Dad Shaped. he uhhhh has a situationship with Kit (Fisto) and then gets absorbed into the Empire after O66
Uj'alayi is an ARC trooper who was assigned to the Shadows and then reassigned to the Guard. he lost his arm during an assignment with Quinlan :) and he gets turned purge trooper after O66
Lān'drien (Lane) Hurosa is a twi'lek journalist on Coruscant who mostly does investigative work. they date Uj off and on throughout the war :) if they live long enough, they go on to meet Hera and Kanan and co during the Rebellion
Bastra Vargdan is a Dathomirian Jedi Investigator. he was raised/trained by Sifo-Dyas (and Dooku ofc bc they're husbands), grew up with Obi-Wan and Quinlan, works with the 212th in Some capacity during the war. he survives O66 but at what cost :)
Vio Selnes owns and operates a 24hr breakfast diner on Coruscant :) she gives discounts to the GAR, is buddies with Dex, and often hosts troopers who leave 79s early in the morning and need food in them stat
Kat Guthvani is a leader in the early days of the Rebellion :) I have an abandoned fic that starts with her busting Cody out of the Imperial Army. I also paired her with Rebellion-era Ahsoka. they are in lesbians
Buzz is Nocte's unofficial second in command medic guy :) he's my most beloved bald bastard (affectionate) man. for some reason he tends to click well with people Nocte struggles with
Amy(gdala) is a young medic in the Guard. she and Lex were basically adopted by Nocte
Krayt is a medic in the 212th and he's genuinely a dick :) dude has no idea how to bedside manner
Griffin is one of Fox's batchmates who ended up in the Kamino Guard/KamSec for the first half of the war. it was Bad. there was a lot of experimentation done on him before he got away. he goes to Coruscant afterward
OH and then there's Nocte's old squad !! because he was originally trained to be the designated medic for an ARF team. it fell apart when the war started and they got scattered
Vee was the oldest, the CC, he was deployed to the 212th (Foxtrot Group). he was KIA on Sarrish
Diem was like. Nocte's twin. the sniper. he went to the 501st and was KIA on Geonosis
Hard Knox was the demolitions expert. he was KIA when Ventress took the Tranquility
Tether was the sniper. he and Nocte were like 🤞. he was KIA by friendly fire on Umbara

Fostering a cat with medical needs can fit into your daily routine – Knox County VillageSoup
Tumblr media
Some of the shelter’s most vulnerable residents benefit tremendously from foster care, which provides them with time outside of the shelter for recovery from an illness or injury, or to receive extra attention and socialization.
Tumblr media
Barack
We have diabetic cats, like Trooper and Barack, and that need special food, some that need meds mixed into their food and some that need to have their blood glucose monitored. Being in a home outside of the shelter environment can be very helpful in managing blood sugar.
When you offer a special needs cat a foster home, you give them a chance they might not otherwise get.
You can look at a cat with a medical condition and see how, even though they’re in pain or restricted in some way, they still find ways to enjoy life. They purr, snuggle and play with toys. Special needs cats form friendships and generally enjoy themselves if their needs are met.
When life gets hard or we’re faced with our own physical or mental disabilities, a special needs cat can be a powerful influence. Not only do cats provide invaluable companionship and love, but they can also inspire us to keep going and to focus on the positive. Letting a special needs cat into your home can change your life as well as theirs.
All fosters are provided with everything needed, including food, litter, bedding and meds if needed. Visit popehumane.org to learn more.
Give us a call at 594-2200 and let’s get a special needs cat a foster home! We are open Monday through Thursday, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Wish list: Wet pate-style cat and kitten food, 33-gallon trash bags, dry kitten food, bleach and gift cards to Walmart, Staples and other local businesses to purchase supplies for the shelter. Thank you.

How To Choose The Right Pair Of Motorcycle Riding Boots
As a bike rider, quite possibly the main thing to remember is your riding gear. This is basic for solace as well as for your security as a rider, and the security of others out and about. You accordingly must put admirably in riding stuff and ensure you have the most appropriate stuff. A significant part of this is the bike boots that you would wear. Peruse on to figure out certain tips that you ought to remember while concluding which cruiser boots are ideal for you. The Dipstick boot is impeccably downplayed yet doesn’t hold back on the necessities, similar to a Goodyear welt development and strong calfskin. Thorogood Trooper Side Zip For the best waterproof bike boots, Thorogood’s Trooper boot gives all the insurance you want to keep the components out. Furthermore, at a strong 8-inch level, they safeguard a greater amount of your leg from uncontrollable downpours and puddles. Danner Bull Run For boots, a piece lighter on the specialized side, shift focus over to Danner’s workboot style. It sits somewhat higher, giving you adequate lower leg backing and additional calf assurance — and it’s hyper-stable. riders boots in India Harley-Davidson Hagerman Eventually, the differentiation between subtypes of boots becomes inconsistent. These moto-meets-work boots are solid, secure and agreeable enough for any extraordinary action you could wear them to do. Tecovas The Knox A higher boot for riding is outright shrewd. It keeps your feet and lower legs secure as well as safeguards you from downpour, mud and any contact with concrete. Allsaints Whitmore Moto Boots Allsaints is one of our top choices on the style side of cruiser clothing. These boots are cool, downplayed and look similarly to those around them. The brand likewise makes a lot of smooth calfskin coats to coordinate, as well. Frye Conway Harness Frye is known for its excellent, durable calfskin, which is the reason it’s one of our go-to brands for any sort of boot. Particularly for a hard-hitting action like motorcycling, gear with great materials is an outright unquestionable necessity. Aether Apparel Moto Boot Aether Apparel is the zenith of very much made, downplayed things and its moto boots are no exemption. These are made with a Vibram sole, Italian cowhide and lower leg security cushions — yet they seem to be something you could shake effectively with pants, not a single bicycle to be found. riders boots India Dr Martens Winch Steel Toe Industry Boots Indeed, these Doc Martens are truly, even more, a battle boot however as we said, marks are erratic. For the best-relaxed cruiser boots, you can get, choose these steel-toed ones that ensure your feet stay safe regardless of what you’re doing. Belstaff Trialmaster Boot While Belstaff’s Trialmaster boot emerged in the 1950s, it keeps on looking as cool as could be expected. The side zips make them simple to slip on and the clasps assist with customizing the fit to your foot. In addition, cowhide this great, you can wear them any place you please.

Wellllll, if you don't mind, all three
You get top fives, then.
Fox/Quinlan:
1. Fox meets a Kiffar in the middle of a bad psychometry trip, deep in Coruscant’s underbelly, and helps him out of it. In return, Korto Vos offers him whispers and rumors that turn out to be startlingly accurate, and Fox finds himself going back to Korto more and more as the war progresses.
2. Quinlan’s practically made a game out of getting hauled into the Guard’s holding cells under a different alias every week, and half the fun is flirting with Fox, who’s stone-faced or flirty by turns. It’s been going on long enough that Quinlan’s starting to notice a pattern in the times Fox doesn’t react, though, and it’s enough to drive him to investigate, even if all the clues lead him straight to the Supreme Chancellor.
3. Undercover as a couple, baby! Fox plays a renegade clone pirate king to get in on some underworld politics that are about to shake up the galaxy. If only he was just playing at jealousy when boytoy Quinlan cozies up to Maul and Hondo over the course of the negotiations.
4. When the Vos clan starts shaking things up on Coruscant, Fox goes to the one person who can help him figure out what they’re doing. Except Quinlan is the target, and Fox finds himself playing bodyguard to the most maddening Jedi he’s ever met.
5. When Quinlan drags Thorn back from Scipio mostly intact, Fox is grateful enough to go against all common sense and standing orders and not turn the fallen Jedi in. He expects it to end there, not to find himself suddenly playing handler to a spy. But Quinlan is beautiful, and fracturing, and Fox is selfish enough to put everything on the line to save him.
Fox:
1. Jon/Fox, post-Order 66, where Fay revives Fox after Vader breaks his neck and promptly sends him on a quest across the galaxy to restore the old Jedi Temples and master his brand new Force sensitivity. Oh, and to revive the Jedi and save the clones while he’s at it.
2. Rex/Fox, where Rex goes to Fox in the middle of the hunt for Fives to try and get him to stand down. Fox agrees, but on one condition: in return, Rex will help him figure out why he keeps losing time.
3. Padme/Fox, where Padme divorces Anakin and promptly disappears on a long holiday that she managed not to notify anyone about. Fox goes after her on the assumption that she’s been kidnapped, only to find her shaking Separatist leaders down for negotiations. If anyone realizes, she’s going to get herself declared a traitor to the Republic, but Fox can’t just leave, so he sticks around.
4. Fox/Savage, where Fox stumbles over a huge Zabrak hiding in Coruscant’s underbelly while he’s investigating the Chancellor’s kidnapping. Savage is desperate and hiding an injured little brother, and Fox wants to help him, but there’s more to worry about than the Nightsisters in Coruscant’s darkness.
5. Padme/Fox, where a grateful planet gifts the clones with a moon to settle and suddenly the clones are choosing a senator, setting up a homeworld, and negotiating for backpay and rights. Fox gets shunted into the position of senator against his will, but Padme steps up to help teach him the ropes. Falling in love is a lot harder when there are suddenly several million planets invested in their budding romance, though.
Quinlan:
1. Savage/Quinlan, where Quinlan - undercover as a bounty hunter on Dathomir - ends up meeting and sleeping with a really hot Zabrak warrior, only to meet that same warrior, brainwashed and twisted into knots by Nightsister magics, while undercover in Dooku’s inner circle. He makes the decision to break cover, grab Savage, and run, taking the Jedi padawan Savage almost killed along with them. Knox is wary, and Savage is caught in the Nightsisters’ brainwashing, and Quinlan has no idea what to do and too many people on his heels, but he’s not about to let that stop him.
2. Jango/Quinlan, where Quinlan meets and saves Boba while on a mission, then realizes he’s mildly Force-sensitive and offers to train him. Jango is massively opposed, but even getting shot at isn’t enough to turn Quinlan off, so Jango reluctantly agrees to let the Jedi tag along.
3. Jaster/Quinlan, where Quinlan from post-Order 66 finds himself back in time with a teenage Aayla and a half-dead Tholme, trying to figure out what the hell happened and how to stop what’s coming. Jaster steps in to help them, entirely out of the goodness of his heart, and definitely not because Quinlan is a good dad with really nice biceps.
4. Alpha/Quinlan, where Alpha is on a mission with Quinlan when someone grabs them both. Getting away from their captors on a hell-hole of a planet would be a hell of a lot easier if Quinlan could touch things without getting chucked right into visions of a Sith Lord training his new apprentice, though.
5. Cody/Quinlan, post-Order 66, where purge trooper Cody captures a Jedi and then promptly gets hit over the head so hard his chip malfunctions. By the time it shuts off completely, though, he’s already delivered Quinlan to Darth Vader, and Cody has to risk everything he’s just rediscovered to get Quinlan back out.

Top Ten GI Joe Characters That Need A Figure
Tumblr media
There have been many characters in the GI Joe mythos that were only made in one media or another but never in toy form. And I mean 1/18th scale here.
Now a lot of these (ok all but three) are females, but really that's cause really they are needed. the original line only had Scarlett, Cover Girl, Lady Jaye, Jinx, Baroness, and Zarana. The 97-98 lines added Volga & Vypra. Since the 01 we've added Bombstrike, Doc II, Helix, Shooter, Stilleto, Freestyle, Chameleon, Quarrel, Natalie Poole, the Vypra twins, Munitia, Crimson Asp, Dr. Biggles-Jones, the Undertow officer, Zanya, and Heart Wrencher. We have also gotten two sets of Cobra army builders in the Cobra Troopers and Night Stalkers convention sets. Now that may (or may not) seem like a lot but when you think about the fact that the line has had over 455 individual characters there could stand for a few more.
01. Wade Collins - Hama-Verse - The former squad mate of Stalker, Snake Eyes, & Storm Shadow and father of Kamakura/Throwdown is long over due for a figure.
Tumblr media
02. Cadet Deming - Sunbow-Verse - The female Crimson Guard cadet. The figure can then be repainted for a generic female Crimson Guard and current favorite Laura 343.
Tumblr media
03. Firewall - Devil's Due - Joes new computer specialist is a white hat hacker. She stayed undetected for some time, until she hacked her way into U.S. Army computers and discovered the Army's experimental nano-mite program. She was arrested by the Feds, but they realized they could make use of her skills and she began working for the government.
Tumblr media
04. Hashtag - IDW Shared - An imbedded ROTC blogger brought onto the "public" GI Joe team in the IDW shared universe storyline.
Tumblr media
05.  Dr. Knox - Hama-Verse - A robotics expert that seeks to improve upon the BATs. In the DD verse she ended up replace Dr Mindbender as the head Cobra scientist.
Tumblr media
06. Alexander McCullen - Devil's Due - We've gotten Doc II, Billy, Kamakura, & Zanya. We just need one more to finish off the Next Gen and I'm looking right at you, Alexander.
07. Mistress Armada - Devil's Due -  And since you can't have one with out the other, so we also need Mistress Armada. Alexander's companion and right hand women.
Tumblr media
08.  Snake Eyes III (Dawn Moreno) - Hama-Verse - The standard bearer for the Hama-verse in recent years. Dawn has a great design.
Tumblr media
09. Evy - DiC - From one of the bright point episodes in the DiC era, Evy is a childhood 'friend' of Ambush  who joined Cobra as a Range-Viper.
Tumblr media
10.  Brainstorm - IDW Shared - One of the Fobbits (research and development greenshirts) from the early run IDW shared verse. He was one of the characters that made the series readable.
Tumblr media
Honorable Mentions Layla, Lola, General Rey & the Phoenix Guard, Mariner, Krake, Lighthorse, Bildocker, and of course @cobrapr

Urgent info before it gets removed sent via Sean Ferris today
This is very important, so please take a moment to read so you know what has been happening behind the scenes!!!!! Evidently monies to fund the child trafficking tunnels came from US Taxpayers through the Cabal-owned IRS/Federal Reserve System. An inside source said, “They spent trillions of dollars on these tunnels… that’s where the trillions of dollars that have been missing from the 9-11 building that they took down.” READ BELOW!!!!
Since April 2019 in secret military operations, thousands of tortured, mutilated babies, children and teens have been rescued or found deceased by the US Military. US Special Operations teams directed by President Trump and his Pentagon Pedophile Task Force have been clearing out the children, corpses, gold, cash and documents from a massive labyrinthine of DUMBS tunnels (Deep Underground Military Bases) that ran beneath the US, Canada and Mexico.
Evidently over centuries the tunnels had been built and used by members of the Illuminati, better known as the Cabal, or Deep State. Global, political and Hollywood elites into Satan worship were known to pay big bucks to drink the blood of a traumatized child (known as Adrenachrome) – reported to create a “high,” along with a supposed reverse of aging. Although, if their “supply” was cut off, the partaker suffered greatly and could even die.
The Pentagon was making sure that supply was never harvested as evidently it had been for centuries. Back in April 2019 the US Military, Interpol and different countries’ local military forces began a concentrated and coordinated effort to rescue children from a huge tunnel network that ran throughout the US from California to New York, to Canada, Mexico, Europe, Italy (the Vatican and Venice), the Hague, New Zealand, South America and the Middle East (Lebanon). Some of the tunnels lay beneath the Vatican, with many reported to be several stories deep – like the one beneath the Denver Airport.
By April 2020 a total of over 50,000 malnourished, caged and tortured children had been reported as rescued or found deceased in the tunnels beneath large US cities including one under New York Central Park. Another tunnel was said to run from the Clinton Foundation building to the New York Harbor.
The latest horror was uncovered around August 20, 2020 beneath Reno Nevada where thousands of mangled recently deceased corpses of children were discovered. The child captives were believed to have been kidnapped or bred for purposes of sexual abuse, human experimentation and human sacrifice in Satanic rites.
On Wed. Oct. 16 2019 an unbelievable 2,100 children being held in cages in underground tunnels at the California China Lake Military facility were rescued by Navy Seals and US Marines. The children and teens were said to have been sexually abused, tortured and killed to collect their blood. Marines carried out traumatized children, some of whom have never seen the light of day, pregnant preteens, deformed babies, piles of little corpses whose bodies were apparently used for organ harvesting, children locked in cages, electro-shocked and traumatized in order to harvest their blood – Adrenachrome for the elites to drink.
“In Nevada the child rescue operations moved in earnest… what was amazing is that everyone was thinking Las Vegas would be the horror show of horror shows… there was a horror show but it was Reno… underneath Reno they could not believe the tunnels underneath the ground... the DUMBs… the bulk of the children found in the tunnels under Reno were dead… not only dead folks, they were mangled… they’re trying to do DNA testing to get the pieces back in order… which piece belongs to which other torso… it’s horrific” commented Dr. Charles Ward, who has been in a couple of the tunnels.
A trooper involved in rescue operations said, “On 4 July 2019 at 2 am PDT we surprised personnel at the China Lake Naval Research Base in California. We took over the base and rescued approximately 3,000 children being tortured in ways beyond comprehension. . .The count now of traumatized children (found dead or alive) was more like in the hundreds of thousands – generations who had never seen sunlight.”
Another trooper in rescue efforts reported, “Underground bases trafficking children were destroyed back in 2019. That included a base that was under the Getty Museum. The more recent Utah March 18 2020 earthquake was actually destruction of child trafficking tunnels (under the old Dugway Utah Germ Warfare base also referred to as another Area 51 UFO Base). There was a major battle under the Denver airport. The Illuminati had planned to make Denver the capital of the US after they took over and killed most of us.”
There was a tunnel system that circled Australia and centered in Melbourne. The military made a massive raid in tunnels beneath the Black Forest in Germany. In Barcelona Spain they rescued over 2,000 women and children, while arresting 13 of their pedophile leaders. There were 30,000 pedophiles arrested out of Germany, and “lots” were arrested in Spain and England.
Charlie Freak - about Australia said that the troops went into Melbourne and found a second layer of tunnels beneath an enormous tunnel system in Australia. “It started in Sydney… they described it to us… think arachnid… it’s a web… and it was below… so this second tunnel system goes in a ring around Australia, with a big central line running towards Ayers Rock…One night - 9 p.m. to 6 or 7 a.m. - there were explosions every 2 or 3 seconds that entire time. That’s why there were police out there.”
US Military, Marines, Navy Seals and Special Ops trained for over a year for the special missions under direction of President Trump and the Pentagon Pedophile Task Force. These US Special Forces were working with Interpol and various countries’ militaries to clear out the underground tunnels filled with trafficked children and women. They then blew the tunnels up so they can never be used again for any purpose. The small nuclear explosives used caused small earthquakes in the region.
Evidently monies to fund the tunnels came from US Taxpayers through the Cabal-owned IRS/Federal Reserve System. An inside source said, “They spent trillions of dollars on these tunnels… that’s where the trillions of dollars that have been missing from the 9-11 building that they took down.”
The operation was ongoing as they discovered even more tunnels deeply buried beneath the earth. Dr. Charles Ward said: “The rescue operations were taking longer than The Alliance thought because the massive labyrinthine illuminati tunnel systems were more vast than anyone had any idea of.
“They collapsed tunnels in Lebanon,” Ward said. “There was a considerable amount of tunnels under a building there that exploded. I’ve learned an awful lot about these tunnels and I have actually been inside some of these tunnels in my work because they store a huge amount of gold and cash in these tunnels. The ones I’ve been in were 200 Meters below ground level. .. the width of the tunnels would be 30/40 feet, the height would be 15/20 feet, there was electric golf buggies riding around down there like it was a main road; 40 km, 30 km of roads down there, shops down there, living quarters down there, storage facilities, safes, everything down there, and this was in just the two that I’ve visited. . . I think the process has been, from what I understand, once they’ve removed the women and children that were stored down there, they were removing the tunnels so nothing can be ever done there again.”
Ward has personally has been inside two DUMBs that were crammed with cash, gold and valuables. He was part of a team that was moving gold, cash and valuables around the world for the United States Government to back a revaluation of currencies in a Global Currency reset about to take place.
Dr. Ward related that in March 2020 during the child rescue mission at the Vatican they arrested the Pope. Some of Ward’s Security Team watched the arrest. He said that 650 plane loads of gold, cash and documents were flown out of the Vatican to Fort Knox. He regularly used specially trained teams to move money and his teams had been hired to clear out the Vatican of its stolen treasure.
“I don’t think normal people have any idea or any concept as to how many children disappear every single year…And I'm going to sicken you right now. People that we trusted, organizations that we trusted during times of tragedy were involved, such as Hurricane Katrina where lots of people went missing. They were basically stolen by organizations that we trust to look after us in a time of trouble. Those kids were trafficked.
“That’s pretty damn disgusting… In times of war… the wars in Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, the amount of children that were stolen from those countries is unbelievable. So that the families think that they’ve died and they haven’t. They’ve been stolen… and this is a world that, don’t take my word for it, go and do some homework, because it’s absolutely disgusting
“And you’ll start to wake-up to what Donald Trump is actually doing when he’s draining the swamp…I don’t think… a lot of people have any idea how dirty that swamp is…how contaminated it is…and when you wake up to what he’s actually doing…It doesn’t matter if he has funny hair, it doesn’t matter if he does funny tweets. If he gets rid of one pedophile gang, saves one woman and a child from being trafficked, he’s doing a good job. He’s saved thousands and thousands of children and families, yet there’s NOTHING, NOTHING in the mainstream media. They should be ashamed of themselves, totally ashamed. It’s disgusting.”

I had a good but long day with this goober! $350 later I am FINALLY done Christmas shopping. Don't nobody ask me for another damn thing 😂🥴 Knox was a trooper through all the errands I needed to run and we made it to the park before the weather got too crazy. When we were there, I saw that someone posted on our neighborhood FB page that the power was out. Which would be fine. Except I only had the garage door opener to get back inside the house. This was around 11:45 and the estimated restoration was 1:15. We stayed at the park until 12:30ish and then went to lunch. By the time we got home it was after 1:15 but the power was still out. He needed a nap so I just put on a podcast and drove around for an hour. Luckily by the second time I got home the power was back on and we could get in the house. I was glad to get some 1:1 time with him today but man. Idk how y'all SAHMs do it 😂 he's in the "what are you doing?" phase and I think he asked me that approximately 5,378 times today.
The wind is still insane here. Gusts upwards of like 60 mph and it's so freaking loud even inside. I'm over it. I'm sure I won't get much sleep tonight but at least tomorrow is Thursday and then Friday and then the weekend. I'm off to watch The Handmaid's Tale. I started it for the first time a couple days ago. Weird ass story line but I'm intrigued so I'm going to keep watching.

Finally got hold of a few pictures from Cadwell Park a few weeks ago.
An opportunity to praise what is often taken for granted. The kit I wear as a rider is essential for me to function to the best of my ability and ultimately, should something untoward happen, protect my skinny carcass from getting damaged.
I have been wearing Knox products for over twenty years. I started with a back protector way back in 2000. Purchased from a Heine Gerrick store in Belfast whilst I was working in Northern Ireland.
Since 2015 (edited) when I started riding at the British Superbikes in the Ducati Cup I have been supported by Knox whilst riding with True Heroes Racing.
For 2020, as in previous years, their Handroid Gloves have been provided and this season I chose to try the micro lock air back and chest protectors. The trooper shorts also use micro lock technology.
Now unless I am crashing the next most important factor to me as a rider is comfort. I need to be able to wear protective equipment without it impeding my movement and functionality on the bike. The gloves are comfy and supple straight out the packet and the micro lock kit just moulds to my body under my race suit and I hardly know I have it on.
More importantly, when the proverbial hits the fan and I hit the tarmac it needs to do a job. A few weeks ago I had three crashes in a single day. Two in the AM and one in the PM. A steady(ish) slide into the barrier to start with. Got up rode the bike back to the paddock and was out on the bike again shortly afterwards. (See video further back in my feed)
Second and third crashes were a little more severe. Both high-side types and both onto asphalt followed by slides onto grass at fairly high speed. The action images here were shot by a spectator of my third crash. (Thanks Mick)
Of note is the fact that other than a few aches and pains from the sheer force of hitting the ground from height I suffered no major damage. My hands clearly hit the tarmac as you can see from the images of the gloves. These were new and unmarked prior to that day and are still perfectly functional with no rips or tears. Without doubt my back, chest and hips took a few hits but on all three occasions I was able to get up and walk away. I was back on the bike within 20 minutes of both of the first two crashes and once the bike was fixed following the third crash I was ready to go the next day and rode in four races with no problems.
If you are serious about riding and/or crashing then I cannot recommend this stuff enough. As you can see I am not just saying this because I get given it. I have tested it recently and in the past. I am also pretty sure I will continue to test it in the future but will try my hardest not to.
Thank you Knox Armour <LINK

ages ago someone (i do not recall who i am sorry!) asked who the captain with the white cocked hat was and i could not for the life of me recall, but now i have: it was john phillimore! otherwise known for this anecdote:
...in June 1810 [Phillimore] was appointed to the Diadem, a 64-gun ship, employed as a trooper with a reduced armament [of 32 guns]. The navy board therefore gave orders for her to be on the establishment of a 32-gun frigate, with a ludicrously insufficient supply of stores. Phillimore's protests were in vain, until, after pointing out that the paint was barely half of what was required, he begged to be informed which side they would like to have painted, the starboard or larboard. It was in the course of this correspondence that Phillimore, noticing that the commissioners signed themselves—as used to be the custom for a superior office—his ‘affectionate friends,’ signed himself in his reply as their ‘affectionate friend,’ for which he was promptly reprimanded. Phillimore acknowledged the letter, and signed himself ‘no longer your affectionate friend.’
he also: beat up William James for being rude about his gunnery in A Naval History of Great Britain (further: requested and was granted 48 hours’ leave to do so!); asked his ship’s chaplain to consecrate a burial ground and, on being told that this was something only a bishop could do, appointed the chaplain “acting bishop”; and offered his seamen the option of receiving extra pay instead of rum, which dramatically improved the health of his ships. he was Hyde Parker’s signal-midshipman on the London at Copenhagen (he actually belonged to another ship; he’d just come aboard to take his lieutenant’s exam!) and made the famous signal to disengage to which Nelson turned his blind eye: which weird and specific stress i imagine contributed to his sense of humour.
To Phillimore were also due other changes for the comfort and improvement of the seamen, among which may be counted the payment of a monthly advance, actually adopted on board the Thetis. Captain Drew, who served with him in every ship he commanded, has recorded that ‘his mind was constantly employed in endeavouring to ameliorate the condition of his fellow-creatures, but particularly British seamen;’ that he was ‘a kind protector to those over whom he was placed in authority … but less agreeable to those under whom he served.’
(John Knox Laughton in the Dictionary of National Biography, 1885-1900, Volume 45.)

SAY HER NAME: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SANDRA BLAND,
On July 10, 2015, Sandra Bland, a politically engaged and vibrant 28-year-old African American from Chicago, was arrested for a traffic violation in a small Texas town. After three days in custody, she was found hanging from a noose in her jail cell. Bland’s death was quickly ruled a suicide, sparking allegations of a racially motivated police murder and cover-up, and turning her case and name into a rallying cry nationwide.
From the Oscar®-nominated, Emmy®– and Peabody Award-winning team of directors/producers Kate Davis and David Heilbroner (HBO’s “Traffic Stop,” “Southern Comfort,” “The Cheshire Murders” and “Jockey”), SAY HER NAME: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SANDRA BLAND examines this story in depth, revealing previously unknown details when it debuts MONDAY, DEC. 3 (10:00-11:45 p.m. ET/PT), exclusively on HBO.
The documentary will also be available on HBO NOW, HBO GO, HBO On Demand and partners’ streaming platforms.
Both a legal thriller and a parable about race in America, SAY HER NAME: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SANDRA BLAND follows the Bland family and legal team from the first weeks after her death as they try to find out of what really happened in that jail cell in Hempstead, Texas. Embedded with the family and their lawyers, the filmmakers tracked the story for two years, drawing on key documents, jail footage and interviews with those closest to the events.
While the Texas authorities ruled Bland’s death a suicide, providing photos of a noose made out of a garbage-can liner as evidence of the cause of death, questions were raised about why she was held alone in a cell without surveillance cameras, whether cell checks by law enforcement had been fabricated and why Bland’s body had been severely bruised. Attorneys in the film examine the disturbing police dashcam video of Trooper Brian Encina’s aggressive treatment of Bland after pulling her over for failing to use a turn signal. Fearing that she had been murdered, her mother and sisters filed a suit against local law enforcement and the Waller County jail as protests amplified across the country.
SAY HER NAME is punctuated with footage from Bland’s passionate “Sandy Speaks” video blogs that bring her voice to life. Through the videos, as well as voicemail messages and insights from close friends, she emerges a central figure in the narrative, an engaging and enlightened woman whose sharp, humorous remarks address subjects from black history to police brutality to natural hair. To those who knew Sandra Bland best, suicide seemed unimaginable.
Following a contentious legal battle, the family settled with authorities, giving rise to the Sandra Bland Act, which is now law in Texas. The Act mandates a host of prison reforms aimed at preventing inmate suicide, and a street in Hempstead, Texas has been named in Sandra Bland’s honor.
Interviewees in the film include: Geneva Reed-Veal, her mother; sisters Shante Needham, Shavon Bland and Sharon Cooper; Sheriff Glenn Smith, head of the Waller County PD; Elton Mathis, DA, Hempstead, Texas; Trey Duhon, county judge, Hempstead, Texas; Hannah Bonner, activist and Waller County minister; and family attorney Cannon Lambert.
SAY HER NAME will have a limited theatrical run prior to its HBO debut.
The documentary made its world premiere at the 2018 Tribeca Film Festival. It won Best of Fest at the Ridgefield Film Festival, and was nominated for awards at the Traverse City Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival, the St. Louis Film Festival and Nashville Film Festival, among many others.
SAY HER NAME: THE LIFE AND DEATH OF SANDRA BLAND was directed by Kate Davis; produced by David Heilbroner and Nancy Knox Talcott; edited by Kate Davis; directors of photography, Kate Davis and Tom Bergmann; music by Joel Harrison. For HBO: executive producer, Lisa Heller.
