Thinking of… Ace Attorney choir Au. Maybe Band Au as well.

Phoenix? Obvious tenor. Theatre kid and art kid? TENOR.

Y’all would think Miles would be the tenor, but nope, he’s an obvious baritone/bass. More baritone than anything but he can hit those low notes.

Larry? I want him to be a bass sooo badly but no, he’s either a baritone or just straight tenor. LITERALLY STRAIGHTEST TENOR TO EVER TENOR. Everyone always assumes he’s gay and he gets worked up about it.

Maya is a mezzo-soprano, obvi. I wanted her to be an alto or straight soprano but I don’t really think it fit her. People’s vocal parts literally fit what they look like. She is a mezzo.

FRANZISKA IS AN ALTO. End of story.

Klavier is such a tenor it’s not even funny. He wants to be a baritone/bass sooo badly. But he has like, one of those really strong tenor voices. There’s no way he hasn’t sung Santa Fe.

Apollo is a baritone… That’s it.

ATHENA. ATHENA. WHAT IS ATHENA. Brother I really can’t decide. Has the tenacity of an alto but the mostly bubbly personality of a soprano. I’ll stick her as mezzo for now.

PEARL? SOPRANO. TRUCY? MEZZO-SOPRANO. Need I say anymore?

Gumshoe is an obvious bass. Lots of basses are himbos and he’s no exception.

As much as I want Kristoph to be a tenor because he thinks he’s so insufferably above everyone else, I have to pick him as a bass. Nobody expects it, they all expect him to be a tenor. He has a beautiful bass voice.

SIMON IS A BASS. FULL BASS. Nothing more to add.

Dahlia is a soprano and Iris is at least a mezzo-soprano or alto. Dahlia’s one of those really bitchy sopranos who never takes a mezzo-soprano part. Iris always bears the brunt of the mezzo-soprano/second work because Dahlia makes her.

Small edit to add the Investigations Crew…

Lang is at least a baritone/bass. I can’t imagine him not being one like come on.

Kay is an alto. Full alto. TRUE ALTO.

Sebastian is a tenor. No, I will NOT take criticism.

Ema is an alto. No question about it.

I think I got mostly everyone? Those are the main ones in the choir. Some of them are in band, orchestra or guard (Miles is in band, Maya is in guard and Kristoph is in orchestra)

The teachers would be, yk, the usuals. Idk Von Karma can be the principal. Lana is the orchestra director, Mia is the choir director and Diego is the band director. Idk, Ray and Justine are still there too. Raymond is baritone and Justine is an alto.

MIA AND LANA ARE OBVIOUS ALTOS. DIEGO IS ALSO AN OBVIOUS BASS.

Ok so completely ignoring relase dates and all that, between Mia, Maya and Pearls who do you think would be the Warriors cat kid, the Wings of Fire kid and the Wolfquest/Feralheart kid?

as someone who was all three, you have come to the right place holy shit. in fact i'm not just going to place those three i'm gonna do some of the other weirdgirls too

-Pearl is a Warriors kid for sure. she makes Warriors OCs, most of which are self-inserts of herself and the people she knows. i think she's the type to make herself the medicine cat, and she probably also made Phoenix and Maya cats (who were in love of course). she comes up with elaborate stories, most of which revolve around like... forbidden inter-Clan romance and that sort of soap-opera-esque thing. Phoenix finds her writing and sketches for it one day and is like '? Pearls what's this' and she snatches it out of his hands and throws it out the window before he can read any more

-actually I think Mia was also a warriors kid and introduced it to Maya, who then introduced it to Pearl. part of the reason Maya and Pearl love it so much is that it reminds them of her. Maya would have also liked WoF though

-Trucy was a Wings of Fire kid. i think she loved the excitement and the dragons and the magic, but i also think the found family and the whole 'orphans coming to terms with being abandoned by their parents and trying to carve out a place in a huge, difficult and sometimes mean world' thing in the first series really resonated with her. she drew a lot of dragons and Phoenix still has a whole bunch of those drawings. one of them is still on their fridge

-Kay was all three, but Wings of Fire was her favorite. i think she also wrote fic/came up with OCs too but unlike Pearl's hers was more focused on the adventure and the violence. she still daydreams about how sick it would be to be a dragon sometimes

-Ema was a Wolfquest kid 100%. she wasn't big on most videogames growing up but Lana introduced it to her as educational and scientific and that did the trick. she would go on multiplayer and start arguments with strangers who weren't playing in a way that was accurate to how wolves behave in real life. there was a span of several years when she would recite Wolf Facts (tm) to anyone who would listen.

-Sebastian (honorary weirdgirl) wasn't allowed to read/play that kind of thing growing up but Kay introduced him to Warriors at 17 and he was immediately riveted

it’s honestly sad that I only ever see content that depicts edgeworth comforting phoenix after losing his badge and never maya, his Best Friend and partner, who has worked with him for nearly every single case during his career

Okay I need more Trucy and Maya content that isn’t family based? If that makes sense? Cause with Narumayo stuff involving Trucy Maya is like a mom but in stuff made by Anti-Narumayo people they go out of their way to say that Maya is Phoenix's sister so she becomes a goofy aunt.

I wanna see more of a friendship without those kind of connotations if that makes sense. Maybe she just looks up to her and doesn’t have to call her mom or aunt or anything. Like we do this so much in fandom and while I get it I am also lowkey tired of it and I want a different dynamic.

Same for Miles I guess. I feel like I only ever see people prescribe “extra dad″ for him when you could do so much more with that dynamic. Also she’s gone though like 2 dads already I feel like maybe she’d struggle a bit to attach to a third one even if he is in love with Pheonix. Just saying.

Thinking abt Ace Attorney Social media HCs

Phoenix: Technologically illiterate, doesn’t really know what social media is or how to use it and refuses to learn because the longer he keeps up the bit the funnier it gets

Edgeworth: Doesn’t particularly care for social media, but found out about tumblr through Maya and now has an anonymous Steel Samurai account. His tagging system is meticulous and he has all notifications turned off. He treats it like he does office work. He and Maya are mutuals. Doesn’t have a personal account to speak of

Maya: Runs a semi-popular canon url pink princess and steel samurai fan tumblr. Also has a personal Instagram that’s mostly her eating burgers

Pearl: Didn’t have social media for a long time because of Morgan, but Maya introduced her and she has a very inactive private Instagram. She’s also in charge of the Kurain Village socials, which are very neat and professional

Mia: Was technologically illiterate and died before the social media boom was completely inescapable so nada

Diego: Socials weren’t as big before he fell into a coma and afterwards he doesn’t care too much about his image so he has nothing. HOWEVER, Maya started a twitter called “dead philosopher wisdom” that’s just random Diegoisms. He’s doing NUMBERS on there but is unaware of it because he doesn’t use twitter

Franziska: Knows how social media works because she needs it for her job but doesn’t use it very often. Her account has like 2 posts on it and she mostly uses it to keep track of targets and online paper trails

Kay: Runs an instagram account called “Edgeworth where he shouldn’t be” that’s nothing but silly and embarrassing candids of Edgeworth. Oldbag won’t stop messaging her asking who she is and how she’s getting these pictures

Apollo: Has a twitter with two followers that he uses to retweet and comment on legal academia news. He’s super active on all the law forums and legal advice columns and unfortunately has definitely posted on r/AskALawyer on mutliple occasions. His real claim to fame, though, is the anonymous Instagram he runs for his cat Mikeko. It’s called “The Pawsecutor’s Office” and he dresses up Mikeko like all the prosecutors (Miles Edgepurrth, Clawvier Gavin, Franziska Von Catma, etc) for photoshoots and silly skits. It’s wildly popular and Apollo would die if he were revealed to be behind it

Klavier: Super popular across all platforms and loves being silly online. If Edgeworth saw all the thirst traps he was posting he would prolly have a heart attack

Kristoph: Has a very minimal personal account for professional reasons but his REAL online footprint is the dozens of alternate accounts he uses to cyberstalk people and send his brother hate mail

Athena: Perfectly normal social media user. Has personal accounts that she posts to occasionally with cute photos of what she’s doing. The only person using it correctly

Trucy: Insanely popular on socials for her magic act. Knows how to market herself online better than anyone. She has a smaller personal account where she occasionally posts silly things about the WAA

Blackquill: Ran an edgy anime Tumblr for years before his incarceration and was posting on AO3 a lot. He comes back after his release explaining the break between chapters of his latest fanfiction was due to him being put on death row for seven years and continues posting normally with no mention of his prison sentence ever again. When he finally posts another AMV it’s a joyous day indeed

I’ve been thinking about narumitsu coming up with excuses to hold hands lately

Babies holding hands as they cross the street because it’s dangerous, or grabbing onto each other so they don’t get separated on a field trip, or one of them (probably Phoenix, sorry baby) forgets his gloves inside and it’s freezing but they don’t want to lose a single second of recess going back inside to get them!

And then as they get older, Phoenix and Miles shaking hands after getting the verdict for DL-6, and maybe they’re both holding on for a little too long, staring a little too long, and breaking away with an awkward cough

or Phoenix pushing his way through the crowd after Matt Engarde’s verdict, carrying Pearl in one arm and holding Miles’ hand in the other because he can’t risk them getting separated and Miles is the one with a car and a tendency to speed so he’s the one—

or Miles clasping Phoenix’s hand between his own in the hospital because lord, he’s freezing, trembling uncontrollably and really, it’s only because Phoenix is trying to give him something so of course he has to take his hand—

and gently pulling Phoenix’s hand away from his spiky hair, on the verge of tearing it out, coaching him to regulate his breathing. Holding Miles’ hand through a particularly rough patch of turbulence. Taking Miles’ hand while they walk on the streets of whatever country he’s flown them out to, because he’s holding Trucy’s hand on the other side and they need to be balanced, can’t get separated,

quietly, quietly, joining pinkies in the front row of one of Trucy’s shows. quietly, quietly, tugging on sleeves just to ask to slip around a corner for close whispered words and warm cheeks that almost touch. quietly, quietly, letting their hands rest just beside each other as they both hold on to the grocery store cart, and it’s awkward because they weren’t made for two men of their stature to push it at once, but it really doesn’t matter all that much.

And (taking a page out of Rendevok’s book, love you) one of them (probably Phoenix, sorry baby) forgets his gloves again, and Miles carefully taking his hand, pulling him close, and warming his hands up as best as he can

and taking Phoenix’s hand, trying to steady it (which doesn’t help at all because they’re both shaking), glancing up at him and he’s got this wobbly excited smile on his face and Miles can’t help but snort, which doesn’t help the shaking hands but someone clears their throat and they both take a steadying breath, and Miles gently coaxes the ring onto Phoenix’s finger, and they smile

Hey guys! I made playlists for both Phoenix and Miles! (Explanation for certain songs and rant under the cut)

There's some songs I couldn't add to Miles' playlist (Like the song "Decree Of A Prosecutor" from Turnabout: The Musical) that I really wanted too, but they weren't on Spotify. I got some other songs in there to make up for the ones I couldn't get in there, though.

I tried to do a thing where the songs go in the order of their lives? Like, in chronological order from when they were kids to present day? I thought it'd be cool and it's much easier to wrap my head around than just placing songs on the playlist. I like it having an order.

I also did a thing where some of the same songs are on both their playlists, and where a lot of the same artists are on both playlists because I like symbolism and shit. Some songs I took from other's playlists cause I wanted to make them have an equal number of songs and some I took from animatics and shit too.

Also, a lot of these songs aren't on a lot of the regular Miles and Phoenix playlists you see... BUT I LOVE THEM AND THEY FIT PERFECTLY OK? I also tried to do a thing where I put songs that I personally think they would listen too.

(Also lmao I took some of these songs from Stan and Ford's from Gravity Falls playlists on Spotify cause they really work together like...)

I wanna talk about their songs soooo badly guys.

I'll talk about a couple of them cause I wanna so badly.

Phoenix's Playlist:

I had an easy time finding songs for this motherfucker, and a lot of them are really good. There's a couple of songs I wanna explain though.

"The Great Pretender" is the most fucking Phoenix song ever. Like, holy shit. Kind of theater kid esc because "Pretending" yk? And it feels like he's always putting on a show and shit I don't know. Perfect.

"My Girl" and "Count On Me" are Pearl and Maya songs respectively. I see a lot of people do this thing where they make playlists for characters and only put songs based on the romantic relationships with that character and like. Uh. No? What about their family? What about their friends? People forget about that a lot and I don't like it so "My Girl" is kind of a Pearl being Phoenix semi-daughter song and "Count On Me" is a Maya best friend song.

OK SO, also "Poison" from Hazbin Hotel is on here and listen, I don't know if Phoenix would listen to this song BUT GODDAMN DOES IT GO WITH HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH KRISTOPH PERFECTLY. I put a lot of Krisnix/Kristoph songs on here ("Vampire" and "Wolf In Sheep's Clothing" mainly) because holy shit I love toxic tragic yuri.

Oh also, "Never Ever Getting Rid Of Me" is the most Phoenix/Feenie song ever. Everyone always goes on and on about how "When He Sees Me" is a Miles song and it is BUT NOBODY IS TALKING ABOUT "Never Ever Getting Rid Of Me" GIRL IT'S RIGHT THERE HOW DO YOU NOT SEE IT?

Miles' Playlist:

My boy's playlist get's soooo sad. Swear.

Ya'll don't get how much "The Run And Go" is SUCH a "Turnabout Goodbyes" song. It's so fucking good and it fits my boy so well. Just please, PLEASE LISTEN TO IT.

"Where I Want To Be" is a huge Miles song. I imagine him signing it when he's about ready to do his whole "Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth Chooses Death" thing it's soooo good. Also it's from a musical called "Chess" GUYS COME ON.

"Business Man" is soooo him and Von Karma.

"Wait For It" Please for the love of God that is such a Miles song. You guys don't know how much Hamilton has affected my view of these gay lawyers.

"Puppet Boy" Also slaps so hard.

"Death As A Fetish" is also a really good one for him.

Oh ok, so "Dear Sister, Your Brother" is a Miles and Franziska song that I absolutely love. People don't give this song enough credit.

Ok so "Brown-Eyed Girl" and "Vienna" are Kay and Sebastian songs respectively. Love them soooo much. They deserved a couple songs on his playlists because they are his children.

"Karma" is self-explanitory.

OK FINALLY WE'RE ON TO BOTH OF THEIR SONGS.

Fucking love putting Jet Lag on both of their playlists cause it fits them soooo well.

Also "Best Worst Mistake" from If/Then is their anthem. Like. Holy shit.

I love "If You Were Gay" from Avenue Q for them. They're so stupid and it fits them.

Um anyway, that's it.

Oh also, the friendship songs at the beginning aren't for just Miles and Phoenix. LARRY IS A PART OF THEIR GROUP TOO.

Oh also the two “Family” songs on both of their playlists is just me saying “EVERYONE IN THE WRIGHT ANYTHING AGENCY AND THE PROSECUTOR’S OFFICE ARE FAMILY”.

Also guys, I soooo badly wanted to put "Objections" on here but I couldn't find it on Spotify (Go figure) I'm guessing a lot of you haven't heard it before? Or maybe have? It's a fanmade opening for Ace Attorney and IT SLAPS SOOOO HARD. It's old but soooo good guys. Guys. Ya'll need to get in on the fan songs seriously.

I DON'T HEAR PEOPLE TALK ABOUT "TURNABOUT: THE MUSICAL" ENOUGH. Not the Random Encounters musical, but like, the actual one.

Some Maya shenanigans for the pokeattorney AU and some background narumitsu! I live for her teasing Edgeworth to death. For more about this AU: https://periwinkla.tumblr.com/tagged/pokeattorney%20au I think Munchlax and Misdreavus are perfect for her (and Mismagius and Snorlax fit her very well when she's older too, gotta draw that in the future). Munchlax is known for its outrageous appetite and Misdreavus is a mischievous pokémon, but also it's funny that - since they're a Normal type and Ghost type respectively - they can't even touch each other, which is basically what Maya can accomplish via channeling (bringing together the 'normal' world with the 'ghost' world). Also in this universe I imagine the Steel Samurai to have a Kingambit, thus Miles has one as well. Kingambit literally is a Steel Samurai, after all. It also fits with Miles' color scheme, chess theme, and sword theme (the only contradictory thing is that Kingambit is weirdly enough 'not skilled at devising complex strategies' but I guess Gardevoir can make up for that) Maya loves Kingambit obviously, and will absolutely tease them both to death. In this instance, by making both Kingambit and Gardevoir wear Miles' main fashion statement. Also on a side note I love the scene in Turnabout Goodbyes where she gets Polly to tell her the safe number. Her 'criminal mind' saved Edgeworth's behind. -The teams up to now, although might change some: Phoenix - shiny Decidueye, Goodra, shiny Umbreon (7y gap)* Trucy - Hoopa, Eevee (gigantamax) Miles - Gardevoir, Kingambit, Dachsbun (Pess), Espeon (7y gap)* Maya - Munchlax, Misdreavus Pearl - Cleffa Franziska - shiny Gallade, Dragonair, alolan Ninetales/Froslass Iris - white Floette/Florges Dahlia - Roselia Kristoph - shiny Roserade Athena - Rotom, Pawmot, shiny Lucario Ema - Reuniclus Nahyuta - shiny alolan Ninetales (it fits so well it's insane) Apollo - Scorbunny/Cinderace, Whismur Klavier - Toxtricity Larry - Smeargle, Monferno *Espeon and Umbreon evolve at the same time but Phoenix and Miles are in different time zones when it happens, still need to figure out the specifics
