7 Ways to Seek First God’s Kingdom Every Day
Praying
Bible Reading
Worship
Repentance
Bible Verse Memorization
Praise
Thanksgiving
Our God is love. He is good. Everything about Him rings with goodness, faithfulness, grace, and mercy. And our Father desires that we draw close to Him, for He longs to pour this goodness out on us for today and especially eternity. He promises to draw close to us in James 4:8 to never forsake us. And simply, He encourages you and I to seek Him above all else. Because He knows that nothing compares to Him. Not cars, money, other gods, addictions, or people.

The Power of Patience: Trusting God in Seasons of Waiting
In life, we often find ourselves in seasons of waiting—waiting for answers, waiting for breakthroughs, waiting for changes, waiting for restoration. These periods of uncertainty can be challenging and even painful, testing our faith and resolve, sometimes no matter how much action we take it seems all you have left is your Faith, Faith without action is dead but sometimes there is no action to take other than having faith and believing it, speaking to the Lord and trusting him are also actions. However, as believers, it's crucial to remember that God has a purpose for every season, and even in the waiting, there is an opportunity to grow closer to Him.
Scripture reminds us of the importance of patience and trusting in God's timing.
In Psalm 27:14, we are encouraged to "Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage; wait for the Lord!" Similarly, Isaiah 40:31 tells us, "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint."
These verses remind us that waiting on the Lord is not a passive act but rather an opportunity to strengthen our faith and character. It's a time to lean on God's promises and trust that He is working behind the scenes, orchestrating everything for our good (Romans 8:28).
Yet, trusting in God's timing can be difficult, especially when we've been given signs or indications of what's to come. We may question why God seems silent or why our prayers remain unanswered. However, it's precisely in these moments of uncertainty that our faith is refined.
Consider the story of Abraham and Sarah in the Bible. God promised them a son, but years passed without the fulfillment of that promise. Despite their doubts and impatience, they continued to trust in God's faithfulness. Eventually, Isaac was born, fulfilling God's promise in His perfect timing (Genesis 21:1-7).
Similarly, Joseph endured years of hardship and injustice before seeing God's plan unfold in his life (Genesis 37-45). Yet, through it all, Joseph remained faithful and continued to praise God, knowing that His purposes would prevail.
Trusting in God's timing requires surrendering our desires and plans to Him, even when it's painful. It means acknowledging that His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9) and that He sees the bigger picture, even when we can't.
So, how do we trust in God during seasons of waiting, especially when it hurts?
First, we must remain rooted in prayer and the Word of God. Prayer keeps us connected to God, allowing us to pour out our hearts and concerns to Him. Reading Scripture reminds us of God's promises and faithfulness, providing comfort and encouragement in times of uncertainty.
Second, we must cultivate an attitude of gratitude and praise. Even in the waiting, there are blessings to be found. As we focus on God's goodness and faithfulness in the past, we can trust Him for the future.
Psalm 34:1 reminds us, "I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth."
Lastly, we must surrender our timeline to God and embrace His perfect timing. As we wait, we can rest assured that God is working all things together for our good (Romans 8:28). Our job is to remain faithful and obedient, trusting that God's plans for us are far greater than we could ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20).
In conclusion, seasons of waiting are an inevitable part of life, but they are also opportunities for growth and deepened faith. By patiently trusting in God's timing, remaining steadfast in prayer and praise and standing on Faith, and surrendering our desires to His will, we can navigate these seasons with hope and confidence. So, let us wait upon the Lord with eager anticipation, knowing that He is faithful to fulfill His promises in His perfect time.

Heart Surgery
I can’t get him out of my head and I don’t know what else to do. I just can’t help but to feel this way. I mean, I could try to ignore my feelings, but I’ll only end up hurting myself much more in the end than I am right now. Emotions, they’re such a powerful thing. How is it that we become so easily attached? He’s wrong for me in all of the wrong ways and I’m not afraid to admit that. I just want so badly for him to be right in all of the right ways. But the sad truth is, I know he’ll never be. One of the hardest things I’ve learned to do is surrender and submit to You, Jesus, so that Your will can be done in my life. God, it’s so hard but I know it’s what I must do. He will never be mine and it’s why my heart desperately needs an emergency operation. If I can’t hug him, if I can’t hold him, if I can’t stand beside him, if I can’t stand with him, if I can’t be his, then I don’t want to feel the way that I do. But before I undergo the surgery, please God, I pray, give me a little anesthesia because It hurts too much already and you haven’t even made any incisions yet.

A dear friend of mine shared that she had been to a fengshui master at the suggestion of her other friend. It left her disquieted and what he said pulled her into a dark place.
There is power in words and what we speak or listen. If you subscribe to such fallen divinity/ spirituality, it results in their laws applying to you. But if you cast your cares on Jesus and put your faith in Him and not what a fortune teller ‘pins’ on you (yes they aren’t predicting, they are ‘pinning’ what an evil spirit wants you to believe on you), you don’t have to be ha le hostage to such predictions.
The LORD is above all such reasonings. His way is above our ways. Always. He can make something new for you today and remember we are told His plans for us are FOR GOOD and not evil, for a HOPE and a FUTURE— there isn’t enough people shouting out what God’s will for us one from the roof top.

I sometimes donate plasma, so I can get a little bit of extra cash. Today that was the plan, but my body had different plans. My iron levels are too low to donate today. There’s really nothing I could do about it at this time. It’s totally Philomena‘s fault!!! 😫 (aka menstrual cycle)
This happened once before early this year, and my iron levels went back to normal after Philomena left. She’s just becoming even more of a hindrance to my daily living. Thank God I was finally able to make an appointment to see with a gynecologist with my new insurance, but that meeting won’t come soon enough.

Dearest Lord, I need your strength and endurance to do my daily tasks. Especially aide me till the end of this month cause I still need to juggle dashing/work along side with complete the art project for Palm Sunday Easter play at my church. I don’t wish to become overwhelmed and panic over this deadline. Please Jesus, I need your help! AMEN ❤️

“Yet you are the holy God, ruling from your throne and praised by Israel. Our ancestors trusted you, and you rescued them. When they cried out for help, you saved them, and you did not let them down when they depended on you.” —Psalm 22:3‭-‬5 (CEV)
“You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you! Trust in the Lord always, for the Lord God is the eternal Rock.” —Isaiah 26:3‭-‬4 (NLT)
“Don’t let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God, and trust also in me.” —John 14:1 (NLT)
“All Is Calm: Receiving Jesus' Rest This Christmas” Devotional By Moody Publishers - Day Five: “Trust His Faithfulness:”
“Do you trust Me?” That question confronts us daily, from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep. Because to trust means to rest, and to rest means to trust.
Think about it: You wouldn’t anchor your Christmas tree in a stand that’s missing a leg, and you wouldn’t ask someone who’s always late to bring the hors d’oeuvres for the Christmas party.
Whether we realize it or not, we’re constantly evaluating the trustworthiness of the things and people around us. We do the same thing in our relationship with God, subtly negotiating just how much we’ll entrust to Him.
Whether it’s our finances, broken relationships, hidden hurts, or future dreams, we evaluate God’s faithfulness in the past to determine whether or not we can trust Him in our present.
But it’s in the midst of this holiday busyness that our trust or mistrust becomes most evident.
…We’ll stuff ourselves with cookies, pies, and holiday hams if we don’t trust Jesus to be the Bread of Life who satisfies our deepest desires.
…We’ll worry about our prodigal child if we don’t trust Jesus to be the Good Shepherd who brings lost sheep home.
…We’ll wallow in loneliness, feeling forgotten, if we don’t trust Jesus to be Immanuel, the God who dwells with us even when we’re alone.
…We’ll hustle to create the perfect Christmas if we don’t trust Jesus to be the Holy One of God who makes us perfect.
Each moment is a new opportunity to trust God’s faithfulness in a million little ways, and it all starts with learning to rest.
What if instead of rushing headlong into our busy days, we started each morning with the simple practice of resting? Let us, as the psalmist does, instruct our souls to find rest in Him alone: to remember His works and His goodness, to express our desperate need for Him, to still our minds and hearts in His presence, and to declare our confidence in His trustworthiness.
Because the One who spoke the world into existence yet came as a helpless babe that holy, blissful, silent night, can speak calm and peace into our own lives today.
Reflection Questions: Which of Jesus’ names speak to you and the specific challenges you’re facing in your own life? What does it look like to trust and rest in God this Christmas season? What would you do differently?”
More Bible readings:
“Only God gives inward peace, and I depend on him. God alone is the mighty rock that keeps me safe, and he is the fortress where I feel secure. God saves me and honors me. He is that mighty rock where I find safety. Trust God, my friends, and always tell him each of your concerns. God is our place of safety.” —Psalm 62:5‭-‬8 (CEV)
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.” —John 14:27 (ESV)
