Alright, I’m back in the mood for my Tulipwood series, which I am currently planning but haven’t paid much attention to lately.
But I really want Tamsin and Rosebud to have their own books!! The series is supposed to be set near Lexington, in the early 90s with an old-school horse book and teen film vibe.
Tamsin’s parents had a really renowned training stable in NY, but one hired exercise rider pretty much ruined a promosing racehorse, and the whole business and family fell apart. Her parents separated and moved to Europe to find new work, her cousin Ginny started in a big stud farm and Tamsin was sent to live with her grandparents in Kentucky. Though they were very kind, Tamsin grew more and more gloomy, so they sent her to live with Ginny at Tulipwood.
Rosebud is a young and rather small filly, not bred at Tulipwood but bought at an auction in as the result of a play of powers of the rich stable owner and his respected old trainer. It’s a different sort of wager: does the little filly have potentional or not? One says yes, the other says no.
The filly herself is unsure about all this – she misses her old home and her parents, she does not show great potential at first. But then again, who ever knows for sure?

Find the word tag
Thank you @writernopal for the tag! My words were fly, kite, spring, and eat.
I'll do an open tag for this one. Your words, if you choose to accept them, are cool, shade, bright, and hot.
fly(ing) (Triad)
She had a bird carrying her, and she was flying along the ground.
kite
not found
spring (TFA)
Their leaves were a fresh green, like they’d just come into spring, and were a four-lobed shape he had no good word for.
eat(ing) (TFA)
She unzipped the suitcase until she could see Dez’s face and catch it flicking on to address her. He looked up. “Are we there?” “Yeah,” she said, “but I think we’re eating dinner soon.” “It can’t be more boring than being in here.”

In the '20s, everyone was enamoured with airplanes and flying. So, it made sense that an aircraft engine manufacturer, Hispano-Suiza, would put one of its powerful engines in a racecar. Built to compete in one race only, this unique car is something to behold. Most of the body is made of tulipwood, to keep weight down. Pontoon fenders for road use, also in tulipwood, were fabricated later by a boat builder..
