What do u think about the fans mainly fans of the originals who say that klaroline was just a hookup and that caroline never liked klaus/ klaus never loved her. I see this sentiment alot on reddit and its so frustrating.

I think people are allowed to have their own opinions and interpretations of the show. Personally I have no hard feelings towards fans who aren't into Klaroline. I have my own opinions, which are obviously very biased, so I think it's fair that people will have their own biased opinions favoring different characters/ships that are more convenient to them. That's really the thing with media in general, different people can look at the exact same thing and have completely different views, and I'm totally ok with that.

Having said that, MY opinion is that Klaroline denialists (lol) have to pointedly ignore/turn a blind eye to a lot of things in order to completely disregard it. 😂 There's a hell of a lot of evidence, even in the final season of The Originals. I like to pretend that s5 never happened too, but it's mostly because it's an awful piece of television writing of which the KC parts and that one episode that is completely focused on Elijah are the only parts that can be salvaged. 🥲

I think that kind of thing tends to come from a new wave of fans who have started their TVDverse journey through The Originals rather than TVD, although ship wars have been around since the dawn of time. If you have only ever seen TO, then I guess Klaroline really doesn't make any sense. Even the crossover episodes that feature KC, the KC bits are kept mostly in the TVD portion. She seems to come out of nowhere in S5. Both are equally canon, one isn't truer than the other, and you need both to get a bigger picture, but some people would rather stick to just one of them. And when you've seen TO first and gotten attached to a certain ship and then go back to watch TVD, you're obviously going to have a biased view over that because what you find there is obviously not going to suit your heart's desire. It happens the other way around too.

The way I see it, it's really hard to simply deny KC when you watch TVD tho. 😂 It takes a LOT of determination lol Klaus was a total puppy for Caroline, in ways he never was for anyone else, and even in the crossover episodes, he still acts the exact same way. And come on 'he's your first love, I intend to be your last, however long it takes?' 😂 If that's not a love declaration 🤷‍

As for Caroline not liking him, it's very complex. When we get down to 5x11 in TVD, and then to S5 of TO, it becomes obvious that he's always messed with her head and she had complicated feelings for him she never wanted to tap into. Which is perfectly understandable. Klaus was a villain in TVD. He killed Elena, he ruined Tyler's life, he ruined Stefan's life, tortured him, murdered Tyler in cold blood right in front of everyone to force them to find the way to make him a hybrid, caused all sorts of havoc all over her home town. Klaus was THE BAD GUY. That's a problem I have with TO that I think gets worse for people who only see that show or who see that show first and then go back to watch TVD: they seem to think Klaus is not that bad. He's just a bad boy with a bad attitude. They fall for that cheap conversation they try to sell with Cami's character, the ~~explainer, that he's just misunderstood and all he really needed was someone to be on his side. No! Klaus is AWFUL. He's killed thousands of people! He's a villain! And that's what makes him such a great character! He never needed redemption. It's way easier for people to find him redeemable when he's done nothing to personally attack them/destroy their lives, which is obviously not Caroline's case. She's seen the very worst of Klaus. He's threatened everyone she knows, including her. And Caroline is someone who, aside from having a very strong however biased moral code, is also INCREDIBLY loyal, so of course it's going to be way harder for her to forgive Klaus and forget about the terrible things he's done to just see that she's an exception for him.

What becomes clear throughout S4 of TVD (for me, at least) is that she was struggling with how she felt and in a lot of denial. A lot of the things she says to him ('people who do terrible things are just terrible people') are really things she's saying to herself. She gets mad at the fact she's obviously ~~drawn to the darkness, and so she lashes out (because, you know, she has a personality 🤷‍). 5x11 makes that very clear as well. She doesn't want Klaus around because he clouds her judgement and it makes her mad that she's probably afraid she's not gonna be able to resist him for much longer and that's only going to complicate her life further. Everyone around her makes her feel guilty for not hating Klaus, so of course she's going to feel reluctant. But when they they do meet again in S5 of TO they're both at a point of their lives where she's ok admitting that she always wanted him to prove to her that he could do better, and that she always knew he wasn't her villain, even if he never hesitated to hurt anyone else around her, she knew she was safe with him (hence why she drove to Nola after him with her kids). She doesn't want him to die, tries to stop him by telling Elijah, and the fact she goes to New Orleans to have a last day with him, having saved that message for years and across different iPhones, probably, tells us that she had, deep down, had hopes that some day, down the line, they'd find each other again. But then they do, and it's too late (and that's really the only part of that season that is written with a certain degree of poetry tbh).

All that to say, Klaus and Caroline were complicated and clashed a lot and that's part of what made it so compelling to me. There were genuine reasons why they shouldn't be together, they were virtually on opposing sides almost the whole time, and I love that about the ship. It forced Klaus to grow a conscience. He wasn't sorry for the things he did, he wasn't trying to become a better person, there was no one petting him on the back and saying 'poor you, misundertood boy'. He was confronted with the consequences of his actions, which is, for me, the best (or worst) thing that could happen to someone like Klaus, unlike with Cami, for instance, who was just there to excuse his bad behavior.

But like I said, my opinions are completely colored by the fact that I 100% support that ship. And the same way I look down on other ships because I can't stand them, I get that other people are going to look down on my otp as well and have wildly different opinions. It's a fandom, we're never going to agree on everything, and I'm totally cool with that. There's room for everyone. Unless they come directly to my doorstep to talk shit about it, it honestly doesn't bother me. I'm all for ship and let ship.

Forgive the medical inaccuracies, I was writing this when I had no internet connection so there was zero research done. I spent half the time wondering if I even had the characters names correct 😂 (I in fact was not correct, I wrote nearly 2k thinking her name was Kinsley and had to correct, sorry if any mistakes slipped through)

This is for Locke & Key but you don't have to know anything about the series to understand this particular story. This is set post series, Kinsey is about 19 which if I remember correctly puts Tyler around 21-22? I don't remember exactly the age gap, but it's after the show so Tyler is an adult

"-yler! Tyler, please!"

Tyler groaned as awareness came back. His head felt heavy and like it had been stuffed with cotton. Everything felt muffled, including his hearing as he only distantly heard someone calling his name. His mouth was dry and his eyes felt like they might as well be glued shut for how hard it was going to be to open them.

"Tyler, I need you to wake up, please wake up!"

Kinsey? There was an edge to her voice that he wasn't used to hearing anymore, a layer of panic bordering on hysteria as she called out to him.

He tried to turn towards where her voice had come from and groaned as the movement sent pain shooting through his head and neck, which suddenly made him aware of the various pains in the rest of his body. Something hard pressed into his shoulder and across his chest and hips, holding him tightly in place. Something else pressed against his shins and his arms felt as heavy as his head.

He opened his mouth, wincing at the lack of saliva and managed a whisper. "Kins?"

"Tyler! Oh my god, finally. Are you ok?"

He managed to finally pry his eyes open and stared blankly ahead for a moment, his lagging brain trying to figure out the picture in front of him. He sucked in a breath as it finally hit him what he was looking at. Directly in front of him was the deflated airbag from the destroyed dashboard of his uncle Duncan's car. Beyond that the windshield was shattered and the headlights painted a confusing image out of the freshly fallen snow on the ground, deep rivets casting shadows from where the car had ploughed through it.

And the world was upside down.

Tyler dragged his focus back to the interior of the car, trying to shift his body before realizing he was still tightly buckled into the front seat, his arms dangling above his head and resting against the roof of the car where a pool of red was gathering.

"Think I'm bleeding…" he said faintly.

"I know, it's from your head but I don't think it's deep. Are you hurt anywhere else? I need your help."

"I'm… not sure. Head hurts…" he closed his eyes for a moment, furrowing his brow as he tried to concentrate on the rest of his body. The seatbelt keeping him restrained dug into his shoulder and ribs and the joints of his hips, the pressure distracting him from anything else that might be wrong.

"I know Tyler, you probably have a concussion." Kinsey's voice was somewhere to his left, like she was near the driver's side window. "I need you to undo your seatbelt though."

"Seatbelt?" He mumbled, focusing on flexing his fingers and testing if he could even lift one of them to undo the buckle.

"Yes, undo your seatbelt and then crawl towards me to grab my phone."

"Where are you–" he started to ask but cut off as he turned his head to the side and caught sight of her. She lay in the snow just outside the driver side window, most of which was crushed and she could barely fit her head and shoulders through. She had wedged herself in far enough to reach their Uncle Duncan, who was still buckled into the driver seat beside Tyler. His arms hung limply like Tyler's, awkwardly crumpled on the rooftop above his head and blood ran down his neck and face, down to his hairline and then dribbling onto the roof of the car. Following the pool of blood, Tyler realized half the blood on his side of the car was likely Duncan's and not his own.

"Uncle Dunc?"

"He's stuck, Tyler. He won't wake up and I need you to come over here and call 911. I can't do it myself, if I let go he'll bleed out."

Worry for his uncle lit the fire under Tyler's motivation and he managed to fumble his fingers across the buckle. His weight on the belt made it harder for the safety contraption to cooperate, but it finally snapped open and the belt mostly recoiled as Tyler slumped to the ground. He choked on a scream as his shins scraped against the underside of the dashboard. His head spun and he lay there for a moment, heaving for breath and feeling like he might throw up, or fall off the planet completely with how dizzy the movement had made him.

"Tyler! Are you ok?"

He limply held up a thumbs up, which in the upturned car he couldn't really tell which way was up, for himself or for Kinsey, so it was somehow both a thumbs up and a thumbs down. Either way, appropriate.

He pushed himself up, gingerly twisting around in the tight space. The passenger window was smashed, mostly held together by the safety plastic and a light touch was enough to push it outside of the car so he had more space to manoeuvre, eventually he was able to settle in a position closer to the front window with his legs sticking out the passenger window. From there he could see both Duncan and Kinsey.

He choked on another breath as he realized why Kinsey needed his help.

Her phone lay on the roof of the car near her shoulder, just barely out of reach of the pool of blood. Her hands proved to be otherwise occupied, coated in red where she had them firmly pressing around a branch impaled through Duncan's shoulder.

"Oh my god…" Tyler breathed out.

"Tyler, look at me. Tyler!"

He dragged his eyes away from Duncan and looked at Kinsey. Her face was smeared with blood but he couldn't tell if it was hers or his or Duncan's at this point. Her gaze was firm and her jaw tight, she seemed to be alright or pushing through well enough to keep a grip of the situation.

She didn't wait for an answer. "I need you to pick up my phone and call 911."

"Y-yeah." Tyler tried not to look at Duncan or at the blood and gingerly picked up the phone. There was red on it too and he tried to wipe it off, only then noticing how shaky his hands were. He poked at the screen, confused when his password didn't work and the keypad jiggled on the screen.

"Just use the emergency call," she snapped at him. Oh yeah, it wasn't his phone… he clicked the emergency call button at the bottom of the screen and briefly contemplated where his phone might have wound up as he brought it to his ear and almost immediately someone was speaking in his ear.

"I– I'm sorry, say that again?" He asked.

"You dialled 911, are you okay, sir?"

"Oh, uh... no. We were in an accident." Tyler laid his head down against the roof of the car, exhaustion suddenly flooding through him.

"Can you tell me where you are?"

"We are… Kins, where are we?"

She turned her head, looking over her shoulder outside of the car and then back at him. "We were just getting to the edge of Boston." She rattled off the name of a frontage road and the last intersection she remembered crossing.

"We're at… Sorry, Kins say that again…"

The dispatcher cut him off, "It's okay sir, I heard what she said. I'm sending units your way, they should only be a few minutes."

Relief flooded through him and he sank further into the roof of the car. It was getting harder to keep his eyes open.

"I'm going to stay on the line with you. Can you tell me your name, sir?" The dispatcher asked.

"Tyler," he managed to mumble.

"Alright Tyler, my name is Ashley. Can you tell me about your injuries?"

"Uh, I think I hit my head. My uncle is stuck though, Kinsey is keeping pressure on his shoulder. If she moves he'll bleed out." His own voice was starting to sound distant and the phone was getting heavy to hold.

"Okay Tyler, is Kinsey nearby? Can you put me on speaker phone?"

"Sure…" he pulled the phone away and peered at the screen before poking the speaker icon. His hand slumped to the ground, limply holding the phone and all he could do was stare at it as the voice on the other end continued to talk.

"Kinsey, can you hear me?"

"Yes! I can hear you, how far away is the ambulance?" Her voice was loud in Tyler's ear suddenly and he groaned.

"With your approximate location they should be there in just under two minutes. Are you injured?"

"No, I'm fine. The car hit ice and rolled, I was in the backseat but I don't think I blacked out. Tyler was unconscious for about one minute and has a bleeding head wound. Our uncle Duncan has a tree branch through his shoulder, he bled a lot before I could get to it but I'm holding pressure."

"Good, you're doing really well Kinsey, don't move your hands and keep pressure on the wound. The EMT's will direct you when they get there. Tyler, are you still there?"

Tyler groaned in the affirmative, but couldn't gather any more energy.

"Kinsey, is there anyone else with you?"

"No, it's just me, my brother and our uncle. Tyler's eyes are half closed, I think he's losing consciousness again. Tyler?" She raised her voice at him and he raised his eyebrows in her direction but didn't open his eyes.

"My legs are cold…" he muttered.

"Oh my god." He heard Kinsey gasp. "His legs are bleeding. I didn't see them before because he was upside down in the car, but now he's half lying in the snow and there's red all around him."

"Okay Kinsey, the ambulance and firetruck should be there any second, you should be able to hear the sirens. I need you to keep holding pressure on your Uncle Duncan's shoulder, okay?"

"Okay. Tyler, can you talk to me please? You're scaring me."

Tyler furrowed his brow in confusion. "But you're not scared of anything…"

"Not anymore, remember?" He could hear the frown in her voice. "I am scared. I'm scared you're going to fall asleep and not wake up, so I need you to keep talking to me, okay?"

"Okay…" he whispered.

"Tell me about where we were going," she said. He could faintly hear sirens now.

"We were going to stay at Duncan's place this weekend…"

"Do you remember why?"

He frowned, trying to remember. "College?"

"Yeah, you were going to look at colleges again. And what was I going to do?"

Doors slammed and he could hear other voices and Kinsey's voice got distant as she turned her head away from him. He could feel someone touching his legs and one of the back doors opened and suddenly there was a firefighter crawling between the front seats and leaning over him.

"Shopping…" he managed to mumble out and the firefighter squinted at him in concern.

"Shopping is going to have to wait a bit, my man, we're going to get you out of here first, okay?" The firefighter spoke conversationally. "How are we doing…" he trailed off, raising his eyebrow at Tyler. Tyler only squinted at him in return.

"His name is Tyler!" Kinsey chimed up from the side.

"Thank you, ma'am! Okay Tyler, I'm Rick and I'm going to give you some fashionable new jewellery and ask you some questions, sound good?" He gently slipped his hands under and around Tyler's neck before slipping a neck brace around him and setting the velcro straps in place. He couldn't move his head even if he had the energy to try.

"Alrighty Tyler, how are you feeling?"

Tyler couldn't remember when his eyes had slipped shut, but he had to pry them open again to look at the man leaning over him. His hair was fiery red.

"Tired," he muttered. "Head hurts… legs are cold."

"Okay, that's good Tyler." He looked to the side, watching someone. "Can you tell me if you feel this?"

Tyler felt his foot get colder, as though his shoe had been removed and then someone pressed a knuckle against the bottom of his foot. He tried to nod before realizing it was futile with the neck brace. "Yeah, I feel some pressure."

"Good, that's good Tyler. We're going to bring a backboard over here and get you out."

Tyler rolled his eyes upward, trying to look up at Duncan. He still hung in his seat and he could see Kinsey's hands still in place. "Uncle Duncan…"

"Yep, he's next Tyler! We're going to get you out of the way so I can keep him steady while we get his door open."

Something nudged against his arm and Rick shuffled his knees forward, getting closer to Tyler and bracing his hands under Tyler's shoulders. "Alright, time to get you out of here. We're going to roll you over just for a second, okay?" He nodded his head in time with someone's voice counting from outside and on three, everyone lifted in tandem and he was briefly rolled onto his side and then back onto a backboard.

The motion made him dizzy and the world spun around him for a few moments and the next thing he knew he was loaded on a stretcher and being pushed into the back of an ambulance.

Different faces leaned over him and asked questions but everything felt like it was moving too fast, like he couldn't keep up with the plot and every time he tried to answer a question, a completely different one was being asked and he had missed his opportunity to answer the previous question.

He heard doors slamming just before Kinsey appeared above him, leaning into his eyeline.

"Kins…"

"Hey, I'm here Tyler, we're heading to the hospital."

He felt like he was swimming inside his own head, trying to keep sense of what was up or down or why he couldn't move, why he couldn't turn his head to follow Kinsey as she sat back against the wall, moving out of the paramedics way. Something else was missing and he wracked his brain for what felt off.

"Uncle Dunc?"

She leaned forward again and he saw worry etched in her face, chewing on her lip before she answered.

"They got him out and another ambulance already left with him."

"Good…" he muttered, trying not to worry about the time he must have lost somewhere along the way. It was getting harder to keep his eyes open and the light above him was bright, so he decided there shouldn't be any harm in resting his eyes for just a moment…

He heard Kinsey's voice calling for him and a flurry of activity just as everything went black.

It's not that I am not disappointed with CM writers, producers, all the crew... Of course I would have liked to see another kind of episode. They wasted another chance.

But I don't want to feel sick for this show like I did years ago, when Lisa appeared. And I can still see a hope, at least for now. I have to see what happens in next episode.

Let me explain another point that yesterday I wasn't able to do. We don't need a (if you think that, ooc) jealous Luke to fix the situation.

Was ever Penelope jealous of his relationship with Lisa? Nope! She was very supportive. And? They broke up anyway. 🤗 My opinion is that wasn't just for Phil death.

At this moment Penelope and Tyler aren't a thing. She is still in time to understand she is about to make a big mistake. Not only because her destiny is Luke, but for the circumstances. Tyler has a lot of problems and she likes to solve other problems (except hers). He has just lost his sister. I said it again: they shared a moment of understanding and it was for this (in my opinion) that the kiss happened.

One can say: but Luke and Pen shared a lot of similar moments. Yeah. But there was always a wall between them, a wall made of fears. They were able to make it fall down brick after brick, but I think that from Penelope side, there are a few. And for this their date didn't work. Just my thoughts, you know.

My hope is that we will see Penelope understanding her "mistake", that maybe she realizes she thought about another man, during the kiss. And that she can't get over him, no matter how hard she tries. She has to make the situation with Tyler clear before whatever can happen with Luke.

I don't think that her big fear, about a possible relationship with Luke, is just to losing him during a mission. Her real family is composed by only agents that are (or were) always in trouble. I think is more complicated. I already said that in fanfictions (Parallel lines and The exception). It's a hard work, to be up every day at the expectations of someone. Luke sees her as a goddess. For real, not for joke. He says always with his eyes. But she is a human being. She can make mistakes. And for me, she is also scared to be happy, because, you know... How can you survive, if you lose it?

P. S. Tell me if anyone is still interested in my stuff, I mean both serious and stupid things, because I have more than 40 posts (all made before 16x6) in my draft 🙈😂 and also a lot ideas in my notebook (and mind).

HSMTMTS S3 EP2 : Into The Unknown

This episode was great!! I don't even know where to begin!

I think I will begin with Gina: yes she reminds me of her old self, but with a change, I don't disagree with Kourtney and Ashlyn, but I don't totally agree! Gina wants to shine, she wants to have the first role, and it's her time! She wasn't Gabriella nor Belle, but now she really wants to be Anna (or Elsa, she's the first role too). A part is because of the documentary, but another part is for her, she wants to prove to herself that she can do it!

I absolutely loved the two girls who were Gina's fan, and I really hope that someone will talk to them after what happened to the audition because I feel like one of them will have a good role while the other don't... I mean, Ash and Kourt saw that scene, they could have said something...

I really liked the way Gina looked at Ricky in the audition, I know people will freak out and pointed like "see Rina is endgame", but for me, Gina was like a proud mom/friend. She is the one that pushed Ricky in the first season, she just wanted him to realize he have talent and that he was born to be on stage!

About Ricky now, I liked the conversation he had with Gina, it was akward but I'm happy they decided to forget everything that happened! They are just friends and now the air is clear!

I absolutely love what Carlos said to him in the bed, that line about the fact that he always come unprepared and has the role because he is talented can't be a thing in Camp. This is not Miss Jen, and he needs to understand that he can't do this anymore.

But when he came late in this ski suit, I laughed so hard. Yes he was shown with it in the trailer, but the way he entered and Carlos said it was tradition... Epic 😂

What I also love in this episode is what happened with Jet: yes he has some attitude problems but his voice was so great!! And Ricky making a comparison with him, was cool to see!

I also really like the sort of conversation they had, because since the trailer I already ship them. I mean Ricky is definitely bi, the way he ask what were the relationship between Hans and Kristoff by saying "lovers?", is another proof to that.

About the other campers: I need to see more of Val before having a real opinion, but I don't like how everyone is saying she will make Portwell break up... I didn't feel this vibe from her, she was just happy to her friend! And I liked that she asked about Nini, because it's obviously a thing you will ask your friend if one year he is with a girl, and next year with another!

I liked that Gina was the one who said that Maddox was nice and just wanted everyone to be friend! I definitely could relate to what Maddox said about not having a lot friends because she doesn't know how to be with people! And I don't think that the last scene was a bad thing like they want us to think! It's just another weird tradition! And if Maddox is a witch, then it would be cool! I really want to see a good representation of modern witches!

Anyway, go back to the campers: I don't really know what Carlos changed, but I have a feeling it's not the final cast list just a draft! Val wouldn't have left the real list here, right?

About EJ's, I loved the Portwell scenes, the beginning, and the scene were he said to Gina that their couple was the only thing he was sure about!! I liked seeing him stressed because he was always this super confident guy, and seeing him freak out for once was great! Plus, anyone else wouldn't be able to be a director for a show like that... He's still a high schooler!

Now, let's talk about Nini in LA. I didn't expect at all that Jesse Tyler Ferguson would play the "father" (I don't want to say sperm donor because it's kinda a thing you said to a father who isn't great... Plus, he tried to be a father to Nini, and it was nice). I liked learning more about Nini's family, her moms weren't really shown in the series so far! Plus, this meeting inspired her a new song !

Speaking about the songs, I will first talk about Gina's : it was great, I really like the dancing, the lyrics really shown that she is determinate! But I must say that it didn't resonate with me, like "A Dancer's Heart", that song was so good that I was kinda hopping this new song to be as good... But it was still great !!

The audition songs were great, I love that everyone shine, their voices were great, and I don't want to be at Val's place because I couldn't even said who was better!

Jet impressed me, he had such a great voice, and Ashlyn joining him at the piano was nice!! I really loved how everyone was genuinely happy that he was this good, when he is a concurrent! At first I thought he could be Hans, but I don't know if it will be fair, knowing he didn't read any text... 🤔

And then, there's Nini's song. It was sooo good! I'm very happy to hear a song that isn't sad, it was full of hopes for this summer, and it's all I wish to Nini: to have a great summer! Definitely my favorite of the episode!!

Another day, another cry!  Oh, I’m so depressed, sad and unhappy.  I had…had….to go to an engagement today.  My feet are sore, my mouth is sore (not from smiling, but the dentures), my wig almost fell off when a bird got his stupid beak caught in it.  Did anyone ask me if “I was ok?”  NO! No one cares.  I cry myself to sleep, I make threats to harm myself.   I can’t get any attention here….so coming up with new plan.

It goes on and on.  New batteries like every week.  No one told me having  new doll would be so difficult.  Although I have minions to run about for me (they are soooo lazy), I still have to “pretend” to care for doll.  His on button got stuck the other day, and it kept laughing.  If only people knew I call him “chuckie”…I was going to change it on his little doll “built on”(insert doll birthday, I can’t remember it) certificate, but “the people” said I couldn’t.  It wouldn’t look right!  It’s no fun around here…no one helps me. I have to call all my own contacts to get clothes and jewelry.  Then…then…I have to give it all back.  My life is so hard!

So here we are in some Russians house.  It’s huge, and yet my heart is empty.  Poor me.  We had to run away from the UK reporters…they were SO mean.  Everyone in the UK was talking behind our backs.  I know they don’t like Harry.  I get that.  I don’t care for him either.  What upsets me is the fact that they have my name linked to his.  I know people aren’t laughing at me, they are laughing at him.  I am held in high regard in every other country, people love me.

UPDATE:  Just got word we have to leave Kanada immediately.  We are not welcome here?  Huh?  Darn that Harry, he ruins everything.  Our PR says, blame it on Covid?  What the heck is that?  No one told me we could catch something dangerous in Kanada.  I know there are bears here, but this Covid thing….eewww…well, anyways we are going back to my home..good old USA.  Is it still called that?  I haven’t been there for years.  Got to pack…see you when we (yuck) are settled.

This is the life I was meant to live.  Oh it’s so beautiful here….I love sponging off people.  I just made up some story about ““the people in the UK wanting to hurt Me, boo hoo….and Kanada has strange diseases and bears…boohoo…poor me…I was surrounded by racists everywhere, I wasn’t safe…..boohoo….he fell for it!!!!! And here I sit!  I am rich, rich, rich…living the life.  Tyler Perry….I played you!😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Someone ratted me out to Tyler Perry.  He threw us out.  I think Harry was the problem as usual.  Anyways, here we are at Oprah’s.  We had to make a deal.  We would do an interview.  We are so excited.  The time has come.  Harry has stories to tell.  He won’t though, but I sure will.  I know I have to make it interesting, so I will just say whatever comes to mind.  It is time to get even with “those people”.  They were so mean, and I know it’s because they are racists.  They are out to get me.  My feelings are hurt. I know some people say I don’t have any, and normally I don’t….but, I can sure find some when I need them.  A couple of tears, hold Kleenex…sniffle…on the count of three..1-4-3…tears!

Well, I have tried everything I can think of.  I know people are buying what I say!  My Podcasts are higher numbers then anyone has ever heard of.  Netflix is giving us (me) a bonus of $55,555,555.00 because I am going to tell all!  I have the secrets…..the Queen uses Tupperware……Kate does…..garden work!…..William bakes…..oh yeah, the personal stuff I know….people won’t believe it.  I will make people take notice!  It is so painful for me to go down memory lane though.  I have been so hurt.  I can’t understand why I couldn’t have my own way.  It’s not fair!  I should have it all.  Palaces, jewels, long gowns, a new wig daily, free dentures, free eyelashes, free everything.  Yet! I say I want…want..want…and it’s because  I am an actress….like really!  I was very successful.  I had a hit tv show…10 years ago!  I am a star!  Oh, I get so upset thinking about the life I could have had, if I could have just met some big TV execs when I was yachting……but apparently “my reputation preceded me”…

Ok, so I met with the one and only Diva!  Mariah Carey….she said I was a Diva…OMG!  I was so thrilled…but I had to act all hurt…must keep up appearances after all.  What a compliment.  I have strived to be seen, for people to see the real me.  I am exhausted trying to be who people think I am.  Truthfully?  My truth?  I am evil, a con, a snake!😂😂😂😂😂😂. It’s time to end this charade.  People love me world wide, like wow….the PR I am getting right now…priceless!  It’s like really good stuff.  Some may think I am hurt, but no…it’s free!  I’m expecting 88,888,888 people following my IG….I know, I know…I am popular.  Cry about that Kate!  Now I am thinking about how to get rid of (Harry)…..he is ruining my vibe.  He is making me look bad.  I can’t deal with him any longer.  I think I will start up my Tinder account again….or…ok….I can’t keep secrets….I am going to do a “Fans Only” account…yep..I am….if anyone notices it’s really me…I will just have Mio say it’s not.  I could make some fast cash doing that.  The bigger the audience, the better….😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Wednesday: A Review

So I recently watched the Wednesday series on Netflix and I have some thoughts 😂. I first got into the Addams family back in 2020(it was in fact one of my quarantine obsessions lol) and when I found out Netflix was making a series with Wednesday, I was intrigued but also a little nervous. Anyway I eventually watched the series and after watching it, I think I’m going to give it a 5.5-6/10(the 5.5-6 sort of depends on my feelings at the moment lol). So, here I’ll talk about what I liked, didn’t like, and what I hope to see in future seasons. Warning that this post is rather critical of the show at times, so read at your own risk 😝.

What I Liked

Jenna Ortega: It’s probably blatantly obvious, but Jenna Ortega was easily the best part of the entire seasons. She gave a phenomenal performance and while I definitely saw some similarities to Christina Ricci’s performance, Jenna was still able to bring out another side to Wednesday as well. I haven’t seen Jenna since her Disney Channel days and this showed that she really has what it takes to be a great actress. And it should go without saying- but the dance scene was iconic 😂

Wednesday and Enid’s friendship: I genuinely really liked the dynamic between these two girls. The actresses both had great chemistry with each other and although I sometimes think the dark/broody with the cheerful/peppy character can be a bit overused, I really liked it in this case. The scene at the end where they hug was really touching and I’d love to see those two interact even more. I’m not entirely sure how I feel about those two in a relationship(mainly because I feel like Wednesday isn’t interested in anyone…more on that later), but I will say that I would rather have them be in a relationship than that boring love triangle we got.

Christina Ricci/Ms Thornhill: I really enjoyed her character in this series. I thought it was really cool that they got the 90s Wednesday for the series and that she actually had an important part to play in the series. I will also admit that I hadn’t really expected her to be one of the villains, so that was a good twist for me. (Side note: I also think it would have been cool if Lisa Loring(aka the Og Wednesday) got a cameo too, but I digress lol). Christina Ricci did a really great job and I especially enjoyed her scenes with Wednesday and when she really showed her villainous side at the end.

The opening credits: 🤷‍♀️ What can I say? I’m a sucker for cool opening credits and this show delivered on that lol.

Tyler/the Hyde: So I didn’t really like the love triangle thing at all, but I did find Tyler being the Hyde interesting to me and honestly I think it would be cool to see the origins of him becoming a Hyde in future seasons. Idk if that would result in him being redeemed per say, but I think the show implies that he is not really aware of what he is doing as the Hyde. And even if he doesn’t get redeemed(I could see the show going either way tbh), I still think that part of him could be explored. At the very least I found that aspect of him more compelling than his “relationship” with Wednesday(again more on that later lol)

Thing: He may be just a hand, but he was very entertaining and I enjoyed his scenes with Wednesday and Enid quite a bit.

What I Didn’t Like

The Addams Family Dynamics: One of my favorite things about the Addams Family is that for all their creepy and macabre interests- at the core this is a family that really loves each other. They have one of the most wholesome family bonds I’ve ever seen and you can tell that the members of the family really care for one another. I…didn’t really get this feeling in the show. I understand that Wednesday is a teenager here, but I feel like having her be so against her parents is honestly just really dull and not true to the original characters. Wednesday and Morticia are usually shown to be close, but this series drove a wedge between them that I didn’t really appreciate. I also didn’t get why Morticia and Gomez would be so against Wednesday knowing about what Morticia did. It seemed OOC for me as judging from what we’ve seen from the Addams family previously- murder is not exactly on their red flags list(*glances at the movies from the 90s*). There was a bit more familial solidarity with Wednesday and Pugsley, but we really don’t see those two interact all that much. I understand that this is a show about Wednesday primarily, but I really didn’t really enjoy her dynamics with her family in the show(where normally it’s one of my favorite things in most of the other adaptions(animated movies aside lol) )

The Love Triangle: Good grief, did this nearly bore me to tears lol. For starters- I’m just tired of love triangles in general. 9 times out of 10, I can already predict who will “win” and it’s also just an overdone plot point by now. In this case, it was made worse because Wednesday literally shows no interest in either Xander or Tyler. And so I was struggling to see how those two could think she liked either one of them, because she only seemed to tolerate them at best. It also didn’t help that I wasn’t super interested in those two as characters(I became more interested in Tyler upon the Hyde reveal, but that was towards the end) let alone as love interests. I also think that Wednesday showed no real romantic feelings towards anyone and that if she was going to be with anyone it should be with Enid, because those two at least had good chemistry.

Wednesday being an Outsider: I’m going to be honest- I found it weird that at a school filled with werewolves, Sirens, and who knows what else- Wednesday was the outsider? This entire school is filled with people who are out of the ordinary and so one would think that weirdness is expected from everyone. I honestly think it would have been more interesting if people in the school were more accepting of Wednesday, because I think that could have led her to interact more with the characters at Nevermore. That also could’ve led to some more character development for the secondary characters, because outside of a few characters at the school- I didn’t really get the chance to care all that much for Wednesday’s classmates. They just didn’t really interest me all that much and the whole “Wednesday being an outsider” thing didn’t really help.

The Social Media References: Okay look. I know the show is set in modern days and as the Addams family often interacts with the regular world, they’re going to have to take note of that stuff. However in this case- the mentions of Instagram and TikTok only served to make me cringe than anything else. It also felt like it would make the show seem too outdated while in the movies and OG series case- they felt timeless. Yes it’s obvious that the OG series and the movies are set in the 60s and 90s respectively, but every time I watch those again, I never really get the outdated sense from them. However, in the series a lot of the modern “shout outs” were a little off putting and I feel like in a few years, it could really end up dating the series. Also since most of the show has a supernatural theme to it, I’ll admit that hearing stuff about Instagram or Tiktok could throw me for a loop at turns lol.

The CWness of it: Another reason why this show didn’t speak super highly to me is because it felt very CW in some ways. I felt like at times they leaned into the whole mystery/teen drama a little too much and I didn’t get the same macabre/spooky feeling I normally get from the Addams family. Rather at times I felt like I was just watching a CW show (just with more supernatural stuff lol)

Wednesday’s Classmates: With the exception of Enid and sometimes Xavier, Ajax, and Bianca, I wasn’t all that interested in the other characters. They didn’t really feel all that developed to me and when Wednesday enlists their help later on, the scene didn’t impact me all that much because I didn’t really feel like we got to see their relationship develop very well. It also seemed like a few of them(Ajax and Xavier mainly lol) existed mainly in terms of love interests which sort of stinks, because I didn’t really get a chance to care for them as individuals. I think it would have been more interesting if we could have seen Wednesday interact more with her other classmates or if they just got more characterization in general.

What I Hope To See

Better Family Dynamics: I’d love it if we could see Wednesday having a healthier relationship in any future seasons(like she does in other versions) and I’d also find it interesting to explore more of Enid’s family and her relationships with them as well.

More Development for Tyler: I found the reveal of Tyler being the Hyde to be rather interesting and more compelling than his “relationship” with Wednesday. I think exploring the Hyde side of him could be an interesting route to explore.

More Development for Bianca: She was one of the few classmates I found intriguing and I hope the show can do more with her. She also seems to have a complicated relationship with her mother and complicated familial relationships are kind of my jam(if my other favorite tv shows are any indication 😂)

Less Teen Drama(Aka no more love triangle): It should go without saying, but honestly the love triangle was just really overdone and forced and made the show seem a lot more CW than necessary. And I don’t even hate all CW shows, but it could make this series seem a little flat at times. I found the whole idea of a magical/supernatural school to be really cool and I think it would be better if they stuck more to the supernatural/mystery aspect of it all.

Anyway, that’s all my thoughts on the show for now. I honestly didn’t hate it or anything and I totally agree that Jenna Ortega was a fantastic Wednesday and she gave an exceptional performance.  I must admit that I am a bit wary now about any future seasons, but I liked it well enough to see a Season 2 :)

About Eve headcanons. Tbh, I haven't thought much about teen Eve? 😂 I have talked about it with some friends in the past because they asked me if she would be like Hope and I said definitely not. The whole broody teenager would not be a thing for her.

I can see her being a Caroline++ kind of person as a teen. Caroline's personality, but dialed up because of Klaus. She would be competitive and bossy and perfectionist and definitely too smart for her own good, but she would have a bit of a temper to go with it. Not that she would be mean or evil, but just maybe too hard on herself and others. I think being Klaus' child definitely comes with a lot of anxiety too lol Particularly about being the family's precious little princess and knowing everyone has so many expectations about her. This idea that she always has to be perfect and do everything right all the time. It also can't be easy to navigate life as a Mikaelson knowing everyone basically hates your family lol I can see her getting in a few squabbles because of that 😂

I think she'd have a good relationship with everyone in the family, really. I can't see why she'd be at odds with anyone. Even the Crescents as well. I know Caroline is not a werewolf, but she makes a point of wanting Eve to be in touch with the pack so she won't grow up with the same kind of issues she witnessed with Tyler, for instance, because he didn't understand his own nature, or even Klaus, who lives in denial about what he is.

Also, I remember Hayley being very encouraging about Hope triggering her curse and turning into a wolf, just telling her about how wonderful it was, making her want to become a wolf, and I don't think Caroline would ever encourage that. lol She'd be terrified of Eve triggering the curse. I mean, you have to kill someone for that, so she'd for sure do her best to make sure Eve understood her werewolf roots, without necessarily triggering it.

It's all very basic stuff 😂 Like I said, I haven't thought much about that. But if you have headcanons, please! Share them! I'd love to hear it!

So, let's continue talking about Ten's behaviour, this time in Rise of the Cybermen/Age of Steel.

In my opinion, Ten is rather distant and almost assholey towards Rose in this two-parter, especially when compared to Nine's incredible tenderness in Father's Day (and this despite the whole end-of-the-world + mutual-insults situation!). I totally understand what he says to her (that Parallel Pete is not her father, that her father died when she was 6 months old...) but... would it hurt you to also take her hand, hug her, say something about how you are sorry for what she must be feeling? So, I wonder[ed] why Ten behaves like this.

In this case, I had tried to answer myself by considering two hypotheses:

- "GitF is canon/it fits into S2" --> then I would sort of explain Ten's behaviour with keeping in line with his distancing from Rose and pushing her back towards Mickey after School Reunion and GitF;

- "GitF was originally planned as an episode at the beginning of S1, therefore is not to be considered canon" --> Yeah, Ten still is worried about his relationship with Rose, as of School Reunion, but then... is Mickey being aboard (and once again close to Rose) enough to justify Ten's distance?

Tonight's a night for lost things being found. Who's gonna hold his hand now?

ah right yes, that's why 😭 ANYWAY I digress. Ten's behaviour in ROTC is very... Ten. And his reaction, compared to Nine's, when Rose meets her dad is very different. But... understandable. Not condoning Ten's behaviour!! But, for a moment let's forget GITF exists (I mean, if you've not already): Nine almost lost her to her dad. She's the one man she was happy to be stuck with ('stuck with you that's not so bad' FEELINGS 😭), and Nine initially shrugs it off. 'Fine, see if I care' sort of attitude (which, we all know he does, he's just frustrated that he's let himself fall for a girl he shouldn't really have). Ten adopts the complete opposite: he panics. He's desperate to keep her with him now, regardless of what's gone on in the last few episodes. But see, the previous episodes did happen. This line is such a throw away line that we don't really notice it all that much, but he's addressing what happened between him and Reinette here:

He's saying this, because he's damn sure she's never trusted him less at that moment. He broke her trust by leaving, and it might look a lot like neither of them spoke about what happened, but he knows, and Ten's dumb enough that he doesn't just know when he messed up, he's told.

And so he's keeping hold of her at the beginning, too — body angled towards hers and his arm lazily reaching behind her to physically keep her close to him because he almost lost her.

Ten is incredibly selfish, and it's unbearable at the start of series 2. Nine regnerated into Ten literally for Rose, because he loved her and the last act of the Time War was a sacrifice for love. She came back for him, she absorbed the time vortex for him, so, as much as he finds it hard to believe, he knows somewhere that she loves him. He acts instinctively, he's so in love with her and she's about to die. Ten's born out of this unbearable love Nine held for her in this moment, to the point where Ten literally only exists to love Rose. He's so sure of his love for her, that he takes it for granted. Rose took the time vortex for him, and that's it then. She's in love with him, he's in love with her, so just go for it. But then comes actually... going for it, and he realises he can't. He's going to lose her, and he needs to bring them both back to reality because this is real. It's like when you fancy someone and you know, realistically, you can't have a future with them for whatever reason - different religion, one wants children while the other doesn't. You still go for it, because it gets to a certain point where you have to act on your feelings, but one day you will have to face those conflicts and you will always have to end things. Ten puts a stop to them, and the only way he can put a stop to them for her is by slapping her in the face with reality. Again, Ten's an arsehole. But then he slaps her in the face with reality so hard that he nearly loses her. He doesn't want that, but he can't exactly... declare his love for her after what he did.

"Rose, I know I've made you feel awful for being human and for leaving me behind by dying, and I know I did exactly that to you the very next day, but I love you and I don't want you to leave me behind."

Rose would rightfully bollock him. So he tries his best to rationalise, making this less about him telling her what to do and what he wants, and more about reminding her why she's living in a fairytale world where her dad never died and he's still alive. That is her dream come true, but, just as its impossible that they could have their happily ever after, it's impossible that her dad's still alive.

And you can see Mickey in the background getting pissed off, wincing at how bloody harsh he's being... but, he's right. He could have snapped at Ten for being an arse, telling him to go easy on her, but he doesn't, because somebody had to say it.

On Mickey, he's not convinced in any way that somethings going to happen to Rose to change her mind. He knows she's going to be alright, but the Doctor doesn't. He's panicking massively, and the fact that he's still being aggressive even here, without Rose, just goes to show how furious he is with himself for giving her a reason to leave him.

Imagine him, in the TARDIS and before Mickey arrives, cursing himself for what he did. Rightly so, because he was a dick, and this is almost satisfying to watch. But we don't get to see it explicitly, we only get the idea that, behind closed doors, he knows he fucked up big. He even admits that he's worrying about what's going to happen.

So bloody satisfying.

But then there's the other thing: she never existed in this world. Look at how he drops his facade for just a moment,

He doesn't say "well, of course not — why would you?", or point out that it's even more proof that this world isn't right for her, his hearts break for her. It's as bad as it gets for Rose - knowing that her mum and dad are happy in this world without her. She's not needed, literally anywhere. And that's when he shifts his tone.

He protects Pete, brings him with them because he knows how much he means to Rose,

but most of all, he reminds her that she's something, she's worth so much more than the lies she's telling herself, the lies he made her believe when he left her behind, that she's important and this world's got it wrong by not having her in it.

All these different worlds, not one of them gets it right.

Ten would go above and beyond to not admit his feelings for Rose — well, that's not true, he wouldn't admit his feelings for Rose to Rose — but ROTC/AOS marks a turning point for him. He got cocky, he took her feelings for granted, he took them for granted, and he nearly paid the price. He's not getting that close again, and, contrary to ROTC, he does declare his love for her from then on. He's unafraid to show it from the Idiot's Lantern onwards — he's terrified, because he knows he's going to lose her — but he lets his guard down because she deserves to know. She deserves to feel wanted, to feel important. He doesn't do that by telling her, he does it by showing her. By believing in her to defeat the devil, by fighting tooth and claw to get her back after her face — she — was stolen, by constantly putting his faith in her to save the day and save him, by telling her she's his hand to hold, she's his home, that, by the time he's giving her the option to live with her dad and be safe with her dad, she's empowered enough for make her own decision about what she really does want. And that's him. His anger in this episode is completely directed towards himself. He's harsh with her, but it's in character, because Ten loathes himself so much that he's just filled with fury and rage. Tentoo's exactly the same, filled with blood and anger. He's not afraid to show it, but he also doesn't really know how to show anything else. He's either giddy and flirtatious, or tearing down his enemies — which is often himself. He doesn't deal with emotions at all, so when he feels things that terrifies him, he gets snappy. He gets impatient, things are rapidly falling out of his control and she he does anything to get them back. Ten/Rose coming from GITF to ROTC is similar to Ten/Rose going from AOS to TIL. By the time 2.07 rolls round, they're madly in love. And it's why I think they spent a little bit of time at the Powell Estate mid-series 2, where he finally calms down and realises she's safe with him, and he takes the time to console her. She's lost Pete, she's lost Mickey, and now that he's not going to lose her, he loves her instead.
