In my master's thesis I wrote about a guy who, through bending his orders and putting his life and career on the line saved hundreds of thousands of people at the Burning of Smyrna.
He got a ship named after him (USS Halsey Powell DD-686)
There is an azur lane character based on that ship

A kamikaze overshot USS HANCOCK (CV-19) and crashed into USS HALSEY POWELL (DD-686). The heroic action by the crew of HALSEY POWELL avoided collision with USS HANCOCK. Both ships were attached to Task Group 58.2 and were en-route for strikes at Kure, Japan, and against airflields at Kyushu.
Photographed by Photographer’s Mate Second Class Robert Stinnett from USS SAN JACINTO (CVL-30).
