Actually probably the most healing and productive narrative consequence to Leo’s resurrection could have been him having to work for Asclepius.
Whatever powers that be see it as a punishment for both sides but these are two isolated people who care a lot. It’s a peaceful welcome for Leo, which is something he needs, and he doesn’t even realize how much so.
And yeah, Asclepius had to be tricked into helping them with the cure but he treated them without prompting or desire for anything in return, which is very ungodlike.
And Leo has just faced the culmination of his destructive abilities and been destroyed by them, saved the world with them and there is something so soft and freeing about not being expected to break anything anymore. Instead he gets to help with and eventually learn how to fix things- to heal people.
He once regretted how he couldn’t fix Jason’s injuries because people weren’t as simple as machines, but he could learn, and learn from the best.
And more likely than not, having a connection to the outside world that lasts longer than a few minute might change the doctor’s mind about staying in his little prison. It’d be only fair for all he’s done for Leo.
Basically, Asclepius being the parental figure Leo deserves and Leo getting to find something on his own that makes him happy.

Oooo so wait Cinder and Bracken are no longer in the same litter as Thorn and Bright? Were they kits who survived the plague that Frostfur adopted?
They're from an older litter! I batted around a few ideas, but the logistics just pushed me towards splitting them into 2 litters
Bracken and Cinder are 6 months older than their younger siblings. Lionheart, unfortunately, never got to see his second litter, and Frostfur is only going to learn she's pregnant after he's gone.

What's Really Going On
Pro Lifer: Well the mother should just give the baby up for adoption if she doesn’t want the baby
Me: So who will adopt the baby?
PL: I don’t know there’s lots of couples who want to adopt
Me: Do you know any couple who is waiting to adopt?
PL: Um well not personally but like I know there’s lots of people waiting to adopt.
Me: Do you know what a domestic adoption costs?
PL: I don’t know. $15,000 maybe?
Me: The average cost of domestic adoption in the United States is $70,000 if you go through a private agency.
PL: Oh I didn’t realize it was that much
Me: Yep it’s really expensive. It can be more if you want a newborn straight from the hospital. Up to $120,000.
PL: Well all life is precious.
Me: it really is. I’ve adopted through foster care and am currently a licensed foster parent. Would you be interested in becoming a foster parent yourself?
PL: Oh no I couldn’t do it.
Me: Why not?
PL: It would just be too much for me right now.
Me: Why is that?
PL: It would be too hard to handle all the issues that came with it. I’ve heard horror stories.
Me: Yep it can be extremely difficult. But what if I told you that you were required by law to become a foster parent?
PL: what?
Me: what if you had to become a foster parent by law?
PL: they would never do that. That would never happen.
Me: Well, if a woman is forced to bear a child she doesn’t want, and she goes ahead and has that child, someone has to care for the child either through adoption or foster care. You have to do one of those two things.
PL: But I don’t want any more kids.
Me: So you don’t want someone forcing you to have a child in your home that you don’t want or aren’t able to care for?
PL: no, that’s not my job to raise someone else’s child.
There it is, folks. Have the baby, but we don’t want anything to do with it afterwards.
But, let’s ban abortion…

So my neighbor a few weeks back threatened to shoot my dog because he's "terrified of dogs and Reese keeps charging the fence and going onto their property" (not true, if Reese ever does cross over it's maybe by six inches to pee on the fence post) so as a gesture I patched the very tiny gap between the snow fence and property fence and considered the matter done.
Except.
My neighbor has always stared me and my dogs down whenever I'm out with them, which is annoying to all of us, but now he's started using a turkey call to try to bait the dogs into going over there, and while my dogs have a trained Leave It command and will ignore it the fact that he's doing this is infuriating and now I have to make sure I constantly have a camera on me to try to catch him in the act so I can go to the police. I'm losing my fucking mind, for a man that's apparently terrified of dogs the fact that he waits to see if I'm out with them and then comes out to stare at us, and now this, is driving me up the fucking wall. This man has played with Reese when he was a puppy. He knows Reese is a super friendly dog. And where I am I can't do anything about it without evidence, and I KNOW he's trying to bait my dogs into going near the fence so he can shoot them and claim they charged the fence.
This is what I mean when I say certain commands can be life saving, btw. Because my dogs are REALLY having a hard time ignoring that turkey call, especially when he's walking up and down his driveway to taunt them, and without the training they have I have no doubt they would have walked over to see what's up and been hurt.
