Day 13: Ballusia elmensis
Another extinct but a small bear from Early Miocene epoch, about 20.5-16 million years ago. When I say “small,” I do mean this is quite a bit smaller than a dog.

The concept of fiction.
I was a very scaredy child when I was little, I'd ask my dad if I could sleep with him very often. The things that scared me always came from movies, so my father explained me what fiction was: an imaginary world to narrate events, but these weren't real and couldn't hurt me. I told him, trying to scare myself "Maybe a bear ate our galaxy and that is why space is so dark" and he said that it was a good example of fiction. I don't know why but I remembered this and decided to illustrate it.
The bear ate our galaxy and carries us in his belly to keep us safe actually :)
ID: a digital illustration that features a moon bear eating the Milky Way (galaxy). The bear is shown from his chest up, and is surrounded by many other stars. Above his head, another galaxy, M33, can be seen.
