Oh, it’s gonna be one of those chapters, alright... Well, I can’t even joke that Aizawa is only getting development because they are planning to kill him because that would break the timeline.

Also, there’s... someone... that wouldn’t allow him to die. And if he died he wouldn’t stay that way for long. It must be nice being loved like that, Subaru certainly enjoys it a lot.

Aizawa is like one of the few heroes that we know of that are in the ob because they genuinely only want to protect innocent people; all the other heroes had some ulterior motive, some wanted fame, prestige, the thrill, hell even money was a regular reason for heroes to keep going, but Aizawa here? We never had any indication that he cared about any of that.

We know he’s not looking for fame, he always keeps out of the media as mentioned above, and money? Well, he has a lot of mouths to feed, both cats and kids, but it doesn’t feel like he cares about it.

I’m still curious to see, what could be that moves him, because the only thing I can think of at the moment that would make sense is a that he wants to protect- or that he’s looking for a chance to die protecting others.

If you look at the scene where he's firing, he's quite a bit ahead of Aizawa moving sideways, yet when he lands he's about as far back as Aizawa is, so I think his trajectory was altered to one moving both sideways and backwards instead of just sideways.

I didn't took that on account because perspectives in this manga weren't exactly that trustworthy so far, and honestly he should've slammed on the wall going by the strength of that shot, but I see your point.

Aizawa got saved from being crushed by his new son, but he won't escape his demise next time, there's only so much that s h e can do to keep him alive...

There are a lot of reasons to steer clear of him Koichi, the fact you’re a Vigilante is merely one of them, and even that probably wouldn’t get you in that much trouble. Probably. Do you know how to make coffee? That could save your hide, ya know?
