The issue introduced Charlie-27, Major Vance Astro, Martinex, Yondu, Maz, Maul, Muer, Yur, Drang, Betina Marsh, the Badoons, the Eastern Zone Council, and Hound-Hawks who were created by Arnold Drake and Gene Colan. Happy Birthday Don Heck!

In 1975, he co-created the modern day Vance Astrovik based on Vance Astro of the Guardians of the Galaxy. The character became a founding member of the New Warriors.

Heck is most known for co-creating Iron Man and his defining Avengers run.
