Vauxhall Chevette Hatchback Styling Model, 1973. GM's British subsidiary were given responsibility for developing the hatchback version of the GM T-Car. Vauxhall had already been developing a hatchback "supermini" referred to as the Baby R - later designated as the S-Car project by GM. To save money the S-Car was integrated into the T-Car program.
