Writing Prompt

Lindir had been attached to the hip of one of Bards assistants Verissa since morning. He was supposed to be attending Lord Elrond but was told to ‘take a break’

Ugh!

Well she was nice at least, and dare he say it perhaps she was even a friend.

Elrond: There you are Lindir! How has your day been?

Lindir: My day has been well, Verissa here was quite kind in showing me around.

Elrond: oh was she now

Elrond didn’t want antagonize the situation but Verissa hardly seemed kind and helpful sort; a constant scowl on her face, short replies and staring at air. Then again Erestor did similar things...

Bard huffed: And how was your day Verissa?

She looked up from inspecting her nails: it was not terrible

Elrond bristled.

Bard laughed: Well good to see you making friends! And with elves no less!

Verissa hummed huffy: ...friends...

Glorfindale stepped in before Elrond could interject: Well then I hope tomorrow goes better for you I’m sure we can find something for Lindir to do without taking your time

Verissa blinked slowly:Why would you need to do that?

Glorfindale: uuuhhhh welll

Erestor: We simply don’t want to disturb you with someone you barely appear to tolerate

Verissa stared at the elves with the eyes of a long dead fish:

“I have only known Lindir for a day but if anything ever happened to them I would kill everyone in this room and then myself”

The room went quite, the room was quite until the humans began to laugh!

The non-Greenwood elves stood shocked. Glorfindale: Did she just threaten murder and the humans are ... happy?

Thranduil grind over to Elrond: No worries Lindir, this just means she likes you.

So before I became utterly obsessed with the Sims, before I dedicated my brainpower to Fallout, my main fandom was World of Warcraft. I played for almost an entire decade (with a couple of breaks due to computer issues/lack of internet/working too much to have time to play) and will never quite lose my passion for the franchise. Tonight I got bored in CAS and decided to make a few of my old toons, mostly testing out those new skintones but also just... doing something fun for myself since I haven’t in a while lol.

Anyway, these are my main 3 characters (aside from my Paladin, who i just don’t have enough cc to accurately depict quite yet somebody convert the Legion Paladin set please). From left (on the bottom row):

Reilleigh Felheart, my very first character. She was orphaned during the Scourge invasion, and sent to the Shattrath orphanage, where she was adopted by a human mage named Sosomi Felheart. Sosomi immediately saw her potential as a mage, and began training her quite young, but when she was in her teens, she fell in with a group of sisters who thought trying to summon the spirit of Mal’ganis would help put an end to the wars that plagued their homeland. It utterly failed, and left Reilleigh with nearly-debilitating scars on her hands (which is why she always wears gloves). She eventually became a teacher and archivist in the Silvermoon Library, married, and had three children, but always returned to the front lines when her people needed her.

Valmiel el’Aran Silverstar is the eighth and youngest child of a prosperous High Elven family who was lucky enough to be away from Silvermoon City during the Scourge Invasion. His parents, however, turned their fortune toward caring for those whose lives had been destroyed, using their gold and their skills to help them. He has seven elder sisters -- Vadra, Verissa, Velanna, Vannika, Verdenta, Viridia and Violetta -- and from the time he was quite young, he knew he wasn’t the strapping young soldier his father expected him to be. Thankfully gender norms aren’t quite so stringent in High Elven society, and his gender-fluidity was rarely questioned. His taste in men, however... (but that’s a story for another day)

Journey Shimsprocket is actually a gnome but getting the proportions to work in CAS is nightmarish who was, herself, orphaned in the destruction of Gnomregaan. She was shuffled into the care of a spinster aunt who made it clear that she had no interest in raising a child; though she wasn’t neglected, Journey had a tough and lonely upbringing, learning to keep her head down and her mouth shut from quite a young age, lest she earn her aunt’s wicked tongue. When she was thirteen, Journey ran away to Ironforge, hitched a ride on the underground tram to Stormwind, and applied for the Mage’s college there. She was made to wait until she was sixteen, so she spent the next three years apprenticing in a tinker’s shop, putting her natural talents to work to earn enough coin to keep a room at an inn. As soon as her birthday came, she was on her way to Dalaran, and within another year, was on the battlefield helping her Alliance brethren retake their ancestral home and protect Azeroth from whatever incursion came next.

“Remind me not to owe you any more favors,” the raven-haired sorceress muttered under her breath, gesticulating idly and watching the enchanted paintbrush roam across the empty canvas in the beginnings of a vague depiction of the half-elf situated just beyond it, a silk shawl wrapped around her body, which was currently drawn in a decidedly seductive pose. 

“It’s for Verissa,” she retorted, earning a roll of her eyes from her companion. 

Eventually, the product was finished, but Demitria stared with disapproval at the subpar painting of the half-elf mage, considering what may yet be needed to provide the flair it currently lacked. Realization dawned, and she flicked a hand, spurring the brush into motion once more. 

“There,” the sorceress announced, grasping the edges of the canvas before turning it over for Valoree’s perusal. It was accurate, for the most part, if one were to discount the added outline of a Gilnean symbol emblazoned on a questionably appropriate place upon the half-elf’s body.

They really didn’t mean anything by it honestly Bards elves were just too sensitive!!!!

Verissa had been about town with Lindir when thier dear little nephew had run up to them crumbs splattered on his face hands wide for a hug. All the elves adored the children of Dale and Lindir was no acception.

“Verissa can’t I play with you today mommy and daddy are fighting again.”

“Of course you may,” Verissa cleaned his cheeks “ this is my friend Lindir.”

The rest of the afternoon was quite uneventful until dinner time approached the child, “Do I have to go home Verissa?”

“ You do. Look as much as your parents may fight they love you okay.”

“Really?”

“Of course, as constant as the stars above always know that you are loved....now go hone my poor brother must be worried sick! Shoo!”

“Bye Verissa! By mr elf!!!”

“Well now that the kids gone.... Lindir.”

Tears streamed down his cheeks.

“Awww fuck.”
