A character reference based on all four Steps of Our Life! It's only "sort of" a height reference as well since obviously they're not 100% accurate (the devs don't have specific heights for everyone to my knowledge).

I did dig into the code to try and get characters at their "normal" heights but there are other matters at play too (example: Nicolas is obviously "taller" than he should be because he needs to be pushed upwards to be visible enough above the game's text box; likewise with other very short characters).

Still, this should serve as either a nice reference guide for every character or a "height reference" in the sense of getting an idea of which characters are shorter/taller than others.

I'm also going to detail some extra notes below the break, including posts from GB Patch's Tumblr that reference any defined heights (with Cove being the obvious one) or general height things, as well as some more stuff about the MC's height in comparison to the three love interests depending on what you pick.

Cove's height is listed on GB Patch's FAQ as 4' 1" in Step 1 (also stated as "mostly average, perhaps a bit on the short side"), 5' 4" in Step 2 (in-game this is defined as "very tall" on the MC's potential height spectrum, as that is the only option considered on par with Cove's height), 6' 0" in Step 3, and 6' 4" in Step 4. A fun fact is that Cove's final height was originally 6' 3" (191cm) instead.

Derek in Step 2 is under five feet tall (this post also lists Cove as "around 5 and a half feet tall" which you could take as either close enough to 5' 4" as stated above or a potential original height he had that got changed). In-game, he's "short" but not "very short", as having your MC be "very short" will prompt narration telling you that you're shorter than Derek, whereas "short" only has you relate to him in smolness generally.

Step 4 Derek is "mostly average." He wouldn't be considered tall nor would he be considered short. His youngest brother Nicolas will "probably end up as a similar height to him" once he's more grown up.

Step 4 Baxter is "taller than average, but not especially tall."

I've been informed that, on the Our Life Patreon Discord, Step 4 Derek's height is listed as 5' 9" (175cm) whereas Step 4 Baxter's is listed as 5' 11" (180cm), so those are their defined heights. Before that, both of their heights had jumped around somewhat. A post from 2019 said that Derek was 5' 11", but a post from June 2021 said that Baxter was 5' 11" and Derek was 5' 9" (so consistent with the Discord). Then there's also another post from July 2021 (you'll have to scroll down for this one) that listed Baxter at around 5' 10" while Derek was 5' 8"/5' 9". If you're insane enough to try and use the character reference too, then Baxter would actually be around 6'1" at minimum since he's taller than Step 3 Cove (though you could also make the same argument that this means the mom trio of Pamela, Noelani, and Kyra must be decently tall as well since they're so close to Cove on the character reference).

I don't have any experience with GB Patch's other game, XOXO Droplets, so I don't know what ages the characters are in it, but since both Shiloh and Jeremy are characters seen visibly in Our Life, I thought I'd also mention that they're listed as 5' 10" and 5' 5" (or 5' 5 1/2") respectively in XOXO Droplets. Jeremy also apparently grows to 5' 8" in his 20s and he's 22 in the Our Life Cove Wedding DLC (I don't think this is spoken of in the game specifically but he's labeled as 22 in the code).

As for the MC and how their height plays into things, "tall" and "very tall" as well as "short" and "very short" tend to be considered the same for the most part in the game's code. It's not that there isn't a difference at all (I would say it's still notable), it's just that sometimes the game may be more vague about height differences. My post about Errands references this where you don't need more athletic points due to being "very short" instead of "short" to give Cove a piggyback ride.

A guesstimate I'd make is that about 5% of the time, the game will take note of whether you're "very tall" instead of "tall" or "very short" instead of "short." Otherwise, you're either "generally tall," "average," or "generally short." There are also other instances (usually with Cove) where the game might just check if you're either generally tall (around Cove's height) or not generally tall (i.e: definitely shorter than him).

This is actually relevant to the heights because, following all above information, one would assume that Step 4 Derek is average, Step 4 Baxter is tall, and Step 4 Cove is very tall going off the MC's potential "height spectrum" of very short, short, average, tall, and very tall, but it's not entirely the case.

A "tall" MC (generally tall) will look "down" at Step 4 Baxter just as he will look "up" at them or they'll look directly at each other if the MC is "average," same as Step 3 Baxter, but--

when the game has any instance of differentiating between "tall" and "very tall" (they never do this for Step 3 Baxter so the base assumption would have to be that he's just average height), things change.

During Baxter's apology in the wedding of his Step 4, Baxter dips his chin to look at the MC if they're "short"/"very short," levels his chin to look at the MC if they're "average"/"tall," and then lifts his chin to look at the MC if they're "very tall." A generally tall MC still has to lean down to kiss him if they choose to do so though.

Also, during the intimacy scene with Baxter (either in his office or his living room), if the MC is "very short," "short," or "average," it states that Baxter is taller than them. If they're "very tall," then Baxter is shorter than them, but a "tall" MC is "almost the exact same height" as him.

This is all a really long-winded way of saying that GB Patch referring to Step 4 Baxter being "taller than average but not especially tall" might mean that he's some infuriating middle ground between average and tall where he's not quite one but not quite the other either (which honestly is very Baxter of him so I can't even be mad).

Satan will let you cry if you want. Expressing emotions is healthy. He told himself that you can do whatever you want, even if it means yelling and snotting on his shirt. That doesn't mean he'll leave you alone; he'll hug you, and you can bury your face in his shoulder, covered with soft hair that smells like sunny cat fur. Safe and hidden from the whole world. If you're frustrated and want to beat him with your little fists, he's there for you, too. He understands your pain, as he also lost loved ones. Loses people every day in the war... he knows what it's like when your emotions control you more than you control them. Although you express it in a much less destructive way than he does. Maybe deep down, he envies you for being able to afford something like that.

Mammon will be very concerned. His little master is unhappy? Why, can he do something about it? Cuddled against a large chest and tucked into huge arms, you feel safe. But... unfortunately your pain doesn't come from outside, where Mammon can protect you, but from inside. He will rock you and try to gently distract you. He knows you very well. Whether it's a design show or just a playground, Mammon knows what you like and will take you there to cheer you up. And all his nobles will join him. You can count on hugs from Eligos and be carried in Valefor's arms, even Bimet will let you play and fly on his skulls.

Beelzebub, like Mammon, will try to comfort you, but in a less gentle way. Are you crying? These are definitely bad memories. He is also often tormented, and he has a way to deal with it. Break them down like soreness. You won't even have time to cry properly. Cuddled in his arms, you suddenly feel the strong smells of spices. Is this an Indian bazaar? Beel will grab vada pav for you and for himself, and while eating street food, you will watch how other snacks are prepared. A few moments later, you will find yourself in front of the coliseum, where you will watch an artist painting landscapes with sprays. (By the way, Italy, mafia, Beel feels at home here, don't let him into the fireworks stands.) Snowy Carpathians, mustangs on the prairies, atolls of coral reefs, when such a colorful kaleidoscope flashes before your eyes, you won't have time to cry. Beel will only breathe when you fall asleep in his arms. Even though he was entertaining and laughing with you the whole time, there was a boulder in his chest. Only passing tourists who see a handsome man with a child in his arms, sitting by the fireplace and staring into the flames, will be able to see that he is hunched over with worry.

Leviathan isn't the happiest when you're crying on his shoulder. You will see this, and you will want to run away from him, but he will grab you in his arms before you can. Who let you? It's better that no one sees you like this. Come. You will stay with him. He will wipe your tears with a tissue and tell you to blow your nose. Even if you are scared, over time, when you sit with him, you will realize that there is nothing to be afraid of. It's quiet and safe around. You won't even be warned for disturbing him at work. He will spend as much time with you as you need. But what will shock you the most... is his voice. He will walk with you in his arms and start humming softly. A voice more beautiful than an angel's, you will listen like a charm, although it is a purr quieter than a whisper. He simply did what he would like to receive if he were a crying child.

HLC CUDDLE HEADCANNONS

SEBASTIAN SALLOW: This boy is a snake. Full body wrapped around MC like a python. He won't let go easily, either. But he's warm and gives many kisses, so the entrapment is worth it.

OMINIS GAUNT: Physical touch has rarely led to good things in his life so MC will need to be patient with him. Once their relationship is to the point that he feels safe with them, he cuddles with his hands constantly mapping their body. He will have every part of them committed to memory.

ANNE SALLOW: She likes laying on top of them with her face on their chest. She finds their heartbeat soothing. She also likes hearing it speed up when she's feeling cheeky.

IMELDA REYES: Physical touch isn't one of her love languages, so she doesn't go out of her way to cuddle them. She doesn't reject it, She finds MC's affection cute, but she'll be reading or messing with her wand while she lays there with MC attached.

NATSAI ONAI: She is the big spoon. She must protecc. She whispers all sorts of sweet nothing's while she's holding them and gives little neck kisses.

GARRETH WEASLEY: Cuddling him is dangerous because MC never knows what he'll do. This goof can't help but make MC laugh. He loves hearing it. He'll boop their nose, lick their face, even tickle them for a reaction.

LEANDER PREWETT: Long boi with long limbs. MC is tangled in him with little hope of getting away. He has quite the wingspan, so even if MC is on the other side of the bed, he can just casually reach over and yoink them to his side.

AMIT THAKKAR: Hope MC likes his voice, cause he's a talker. MC is his captive audience and he will go on and on and ON about just about anything. Mostly astronomical topics, but he goes off on tangents.

EVERETT CLOPTON: He's the little spoon. Doesn't matter how tall MC is compared to him. They could be the longest mfer or just a little backpack, he loves them either way. He feels held.

POPPY SWEETING: Smol. Turns into a ball like a little hedgehog. Might get lost in the cushions or blankets, so hold tight. Also a bit of a squirmer, sometimes struggles to get comfortable. She'll settle down eventually.

CHIYO KOGAWA: She's not much of a hugger but if MC really needs one, she'll oblige. Might be a bit awkward, but she means well.

AESOP SHARP: MC will have to be strategic. First, gain his trust. That's the hard part. Second, catch him in a good mood. Third, MC must ask ONLY when no one else is around. His affection is very private. Fourth, (optional step) liquid luck.

ABRAHAM RONEN: Favorite Uncle vibes. Playful bear hugs that crush ribs and pick MC up off their feet. Best hugs for when MC needs a laugh.

MIRABEL GARLICK: Very much a hugger. MC can hold her as long as they need to. Let all their worries and stress melt away in her genuine embrace.

MUDIWA ONAI: She gives the best Mom hugs MC could ever experience. She'll go so far as to hug MC in her lap and rock them like a child, even if MC is tall.

BAI HOWIN: If MC needs affection, she suggests they seek out mooncalves or puffskiens.

DINAH HECAT: She is more affectionate than she lets on. If MC is stressed and needs a hug, she offers one without prompting.

CUTHBERT BINNS: He's a ghost. Move along.

SATYAVATI SHAH: She's not an affectionate person. MC will get more warmth from a glacier.

Pairing: Astarion x Fem! Chubby!MC

Plot: Astarion gets to know Winnie's little step sister Vanessa as the trip to the carnival date grows near.

Content/Warnings: Fluff, mean vampire threatens smol human, smol human is annoying and asks too many questions, smol human's dad is a bigot, Batstarion abuse.

“Shit.” Astarion breathed out, staring at the little girl with shock. This was not good. Winnie had busted her ass to make sure no one in the house found out about Astarion. Winnie shot up from the ground, eyes widened with horror as she saw her stepsister in her room.

“Vanessa! What are you doing in MY room?” Winnie snapped, arms crossed.

“I couldn't sleep!” Vanessa complained before her eyes stared at Astarion, taking in his features.

“He looks like the vampire from that game all my favorite YouTubers are playing!”

“Ah…Well, he's just a big fan!” Winnie said nervously before elbowing Astarion in the shoulder.

“Oh! Yes! I am just absolutely captivated by him! He's so beautiful and dreamy.~ It's as if he was carved from stone by the gods themselves!~” Astarion put his hand over his heart, lacing every word with some dramatic flair.

“Okay, I think she gets the point.” Winnie rolled her eyes, as she huffed at Astarion's ridiculous and frankly egocentric theatrics.

“You sound just like him too!” Vanessa said, eyes narrowing in suspicion. “And are those fangs in your mouth?”

“He's a cosplayer and he just so happens to be very good at impressions! Seriously Nessa, don't tell me you think he could actually be a vampire. You know they aren't real, silly.” Winnie said, laughing nervously as her anxiety began to spike.

“He literally has no reflection.” Vanessa said, pointing to the mirror in Winnie’s room. Just to add to their shit luck, the two of them had been standing at the perfect angle for her to notice.

“Fuck.” Winnie cursed, stomping her foot and covering her face in her hands.

“Well…Looks like we'll have to kill the child.” Astarion said with an annoyed sigh, clenching his clawed fingers. Vanessa tensed up and backed up against the wall as the vampire took a step forward. Winnie quickly moved in front of him and blocked the way to Nessa.

“No no no! We are not murdering my stepsister!” Winnie put her hand on his chest.

“I can't believe there's a real vampire in our house!” Vanessa exclaimed, sounding way too excited about a blood sucking undead being hiding in her home.

“You are not having the appropriate reaction to finding out a bloodsucking monster-” Winnie was cut off by Astarion clearing his throat,” right sorry LIFE CHALLENGED INDIVIDUAL is in your house.”

“Well, you obviously don't seem afraid of him.” Nessa exclaimed, “and if he was dangerous why would you bring him into the house?”

“I am very dangerous, thank you.” Astarion scoffed, crossing his arms with a slight pout.

“He is my friend and I'm taking care of him…” Winnie began to say.

“Dad has no idea he's here does he?” Vanessa raised an eyebrow with a smirk.

“No and I want to keep it that way.” Winnie said sternly.

“I can't believe there's actually a video game character in front of me!” Nessa squealed in excitement. “Wait, how is this possible?”

“I've been trying to get to the bottom of that.”Winnie rubbed her temples, “look the bottom line is you can't tell anyone about him being here, understand?” Vanessa ignored Winnie and immediately went over to inspect Astarion.

“So what's your name?” She asked curiously.

“It's Astarion. ~” The vampire replied with a dramatic little bow.

“Astairen?” Vanessa repeated, pronouncing the vampire’s name incorrectly. The elf sighed and rolled his eyes.

“A-star-rion.” He corrected her.

“Ha! You sound like a Pokemon!” Vanessa giggled.

“A what?” The vampire was completely confused.

“Vanessa.” Winnie huffed, “listen to me.” Vanessa eventually turned back to look at Winnie. “You cannot tell anyone about him, understand? Especially not your father.”

“I won't tell anyone! I promise! I've just always wanted a vampire friend!” Nessa exclaimed with a twinkle in her eyes.

“Let's not get carried away…There are very few people in this world I consider ‘friends’ and you are certainly not one of them.” Astarion said in a sassy tone, face scrunched in disgust. Winnie quickly elbowed him.

“Be nice.” She scolded him.

“Ugh….If I must…” Astarion groaned and looked over at the young girl. “…I may consider becoming friends…” The vampire said the last word as if it would make him vomit.

“Don't take what he says too personally, Ness. He's basically a cat on the inside.” Winnie said calmly, causing Vanessa to giggle.

“This is going to be so cool! I have so many questions!” Vanessa said with excitement.

“Ah yes well, it might be best if you hold off your questions for tonight. I'm really tired.” Winnie said with a yawn, stretching out her arms.

“But come on! Just a few minutes! Pleaaassse!” Vanessa whined. Winnie groaned in annoyance before sitting on the bed and kicking off her shoes.

“Alright. You got ten minutes.” She said with a sigh.

“Okay okay! Can you fly?”

“No.” Astarion replied.

“Can you hypnotize people?”

“No.”

“Can you see the future?”

“No.”

“Read minds?”

“No.”

“Do you….sparkle in the sun?”

“Not sure…Usually I'm too busy burning to death to check.”

“Well, you're a boring vampire!” Nessa huffed.

Astarion rolled his eyes,”I can rip your heart out and eat it. Is that exciting enough for you?”

“Kinda gross, but okay.”

“Alright you've asked enough questions. Now go to bed.” Winnie sighed.

“Fiiiine.” Vanessa finally gave in before leaving to go back to her room.

Winnie let out a groan of annoyance once her step sister left her room. She rubbed her temples in frustration as Astarion sat down on the bed beside her.

“God, I hope she doesn't tell anyone…” Winnie muttered before suddenly feeling clawed hands on her shoulders. Astarion began to rub her gently.

“Since you won't let me kill them I dearly hope you have a plan brewing in that pretty head of yours? In case our little secret gets out.” The pale elf said as he continued to massage her shoulders, thumbs moving down to rub circles around her shoulder blades.

“We'd have to move out I guess…..Which is just a problem in itself. There's no way I can afford my own house and an apartment is too crowded. You'd never be able to sneak out and hunt without the possibility of being seen.” Winnie hummed, unable to help but let out a slight groan at the vampire’s touch.

“Our own home does sound wonderful though. Just you and me living together. It'd almost be as if we were married.” Astarion hummed. The subject of marriage made Winnie go pale. She hoped he wasn't trying to drop some kind of hint? They'd only actually been dating a few weeks. They haven't even kissed yet for pete sake!

“Ah…Let's not get carried away now. I'm still a bit too young to be thinking of marriage.” Winnie huffed before pulling away and laying down on the bed.

“Ah..Yes of course. I only meant that it would be similar.” Astarion replied with a sad smile as he noticed Winnie facing away from him. He didn't want to make her feel pressured into anything, but he couldn't help but long to be closer to her. It was hard for him to understand that what seemed like years of companionship to him were only days, weeks at most to her. Winnie was completely infatuated with him. But love, real genuine romantic love was still such a foreign concept to the young woman. It was something she never thought she'd ever receive. She had to be smart about it and not rush into anything.

“Are you upset with me?” His saddened voice immediately made her look back.

“No, no! I'm just really worn out. Today has been tiring.” Winnie explained looking up at him. She let out a deep sigh before patting the space beside her. “You can ... .lay here if you want..” she murmured shyly. Almost as if on command Astarion immediately slotted himself beside her, arms pulling her against him. Astarion smiled, nuzzling his face between her neck and shoulder.

“Goodnight my love.” Astarion whispered in her ear. Winnie blushed a bit, returning his embrace as she closed her eyes.

“So you can turn into a bat, but you can't fly?” The twelve year old girl looked up at the vampire who stood in her room. Ollie the dog was curled up by her feet, sleeping.

“Technically I shouldn't be able to turn into one at all, but yes flying doesn't appear to come instinctively.” He rubbed his chin, glancing around the child’s slightly messy bedroom in discomfort. Vanessa sat down on a bean bag chair, dressed in a yellow Sonic the Hedgehog hoodie and blue jeans.

“Then it's probably a good idea to practice! My dad won't be home until four so we have the whole house for you to fly around in! I can get you a little tiny bat helmet if you'd like?” Vanessa exclaimed as she hopped up.

“Are you always left home alone this long?” Astarion asked, curiously.

“My dad says I'm old enough to be here by myself.” Nessa exclaimed. “And Winnie said I need to keep an eye on you while she's at work so come on!” Nessa got up and quickly grabbed something from her drawer before leading Astarion out of her room and into the kitchen by his hand. Astarion rolled his eyes but complied with the girl’s wishes, not wanting to hear her whine. Astarion followed Nessa into the kitchen before taking his bat form, disappearing into a cloud of red before reappearing on the group as a little white vampire bat.

“Aww you're so cute!” She cooed before putting a tiny pink doll helmet on his head. “Okay now I'll get you started, and you remember to flap your wings!” The girl said before picking up the tiny bat who let out a few squeaks of annoyance. The sandy haired girl held him over her head before suddenly launching him into the air. The poor little bat let out a terrified squeak as he was slung through the air wings flapping frantically. Ollie shot out of Nessa’s room, hearing the bat’s squeaks. He immediately began to bark and snarl at the little creature.

“Ollie no! Leave him alone!” Vanessa scolded, but the untrained pup just ignored her and snapped at the little bat, hopping up to try and bite him.

Astarion hovered above the dog, just safely out of reach as he flapped his wings in desperation.

The dog continued to lunge at him until Maddie poked her head out of Winnie's bedroom. Almost immediately she charged at the dog, a nasty growl left the feline's mouth as she came close, ears straight back and fur puffed up.

“Merrrrooow…” Maddie's vicious yowl caused the dog to turn tail between his legs before he ran off into Brian's bedroom. Astarion huffed, gradually slowing his flaps before dropping down onto Maddie’s back.

Astarion let out a sigh of relief before hopping off Maddie's back and transforming back to his elven form. The little helmet falling off his head as he did so.

“Alright, I think I've had enough of flying for one day.” Astarion dusted himself off before noticing Maddie rub against his legs.

“Awe come on! You were doing so good!” Vanessa pouted.

“Darling, you're completely impossible. If it wasn't for your sweet sister I would have drained you dry already.” Astarion scoffed.

“Darling,” Nessa mocked, “you sound like a girl hehe.”

“Oh such a cruel clever insult! However, will I possibly recover?” Astarion's words were dripping with sarcasm as he held a hand over his heart dramatically. Vanessa looked at him curiously and blinked.

“Are you gay? My dad said guys who act like you are gay.” The twelve year old asked bluntly. The vampire looked back at her, not quite understanding what the rude child was asking.

“Not at present. I'm rather annoyed actually.”

“No I don't mean happy gay. I mean do you like boys?” The young girl asked.

“Gods, you're a nosy child.” Astarion rubbed his temples.

“I just wanna know. Dad said I shouldn't talk to gay people. Not sure why though.” The child shrugged. “So do you like boys or girls?”

“Hmm…I much prefer adults rather than boys and girls….” Astarion finally answered with a grimace.

“Ah! That's what I meant! But what gender do you like?”

“Must I choose?” Astarion chuckled before his pointed ears twitched and he heard someone pull into the driveway. He peeked his head through the door to the livingroom and spotted Winnie through the window. She had gotten off her motorcycle and was walking back to the house. Astarion grinned before entering the living room.

“Hey!” Vanessa whined and followed him.

Winnie walked inside, she looked exhausted, hair messy and her uniform had a bit of dirt on it.

“Winnie.” Astarion smiled at her sweetly,“welcome back my sweet.” He quickly pulled her in for a hug, nuzzling his face in her neck. Winnie nearly fell over, but the vampire held her up.

“Darling? Are you alright?” He asked with concern.

“I'm exhausted. Work was hell today.” Winnie huffed, leaning against him.

“Oh my God. You guys are dating aren't you?” Vanessa piped up.

“Ugh ...Not now Nessa. I don't have the energy for this.” Winnie said and pulled back from Astarion’s arms. Astarion smirked a bit.

“Winnie and I are partners, yes.” He said, smugly.

“Astarion.” Winnie glared at Astarion slightly.

“What? I'm simply being honest with the kid.” Astarion said with an innocent look. Winnie rolled her eyes before walking into her room. The messy haired female laid on her bed and took a deep breath. She laid there for a while, staring at the ceiling in silence. Eventually Astarion came into her room and sat on the bed next to her.

“Love, I brought you something to eat.” Astarion hummed, setting down a plate with a sandwich on it. He looked down at her tired face and gently caressed her hair.

“Some crazy lady screamed at me today.” Winnie began suddenly. “She was pitching a fit because we didn't have any of the dog food she wanted. Becca wasn't working today so I had to handle it by myself.”

“A pity I couldn't join you there during the day. I'd be happy to dispose of anyone who gives you trouble.” Astarion said with a smirk, clenching his free hand into a fist and cracking his knuckles.

“You'd get arrested in a heartbeat.” Winnie chuckled, finally grabbing the sandwich and taking a bite. It was just bologna between two pieces of bread. No cheese or condiments. So incredibly bland. Well, she had to give the vampire some credit for trying. Winnie ate the sandwich before tossing the plate in the trash and laying her head on Astarion’s lap.

“It pains me how little faith you have in my skills, my love.” Astarion said as he continued to stroke Winnie’s hair.

“Honey, I've told you already. It's not like how it is in Faerûn where you can just dump the body in a ditch somewhere and no one will ask questions. People keep track of everyone who goes missing here. You will get caught.” Winnie mumbled, snuggling her head against his thigh.

“Well, actually they do begin asking questions in Baldur's Gate. Of course I still managed to get away without being caught.” Astarion said smugly.

“Makes me wonder if I should be involved with such a dangerous, dangerous man.” Winnie teased.

“Oh don’t worry, pet. I'd never hurt you. Not unless you wanted me to.~” Astarion tapped Winnie on the nose with a flirtatious wink. Winnie rolled her eyes and just relaxed with her head on his lap.

“Anyway, we have a lot to look forward to. We're going to meet up with your friend for a date in a few weeks, aren't we?” Astarion reminded her. Winnie’s eyes widened as she remembered they were supposed to meet Becca and her boyfriend at the carnival for a double date.

Shit.

Winnie turned and buried her face into Astarion’s thigh as she thought of all the things that could go wrong.

The carnival came to town much sooner than Winnie expected. It didn't take long before Nessa was begging Brian to let her go before she had to go back to her mother's house. Winnie had called up Becca a couple nights back to make sure they'd meet up after sundown. She told her friend that her boyfriend couldn't get off of work until then. Everything was in place for the evening. Winnie wore a black T-shirt and ripped skinny jeans along with a pair of black converse. She brushed her hair out as best as she could while she stood in front of her bathroom mirror. Once she finished she put her glasses on and left the room, grabbing an old leather jacket from her closet that she barely wore as she let out a sigh.

Red eyes looked her over as their owner sat on the armchair, brushing his snow white locks. He was dressed in a sleeveless dark purple turtleneck which covered the bite scar on his neck. With it he wore black skinny jeans and tennis shoes.

“You're going to get cold wearing that, you know.” Winnie hummed.

“Well then, perhaps you'd be so kind as to lend me one of your coats if you're so worried about little old me.~” Astarion hummed, hopping up and moving a stray hair out of his face as he followed his lover into the bathroom.

“I already told you, Star. My jackets won't fit you right. You're too tall and skinny to fit in my clothes.” Winnie said with a sigh as she began to brush her teeth. “Besides I already bought you your own jackets.”

“But yours are so much softer and more comfortable.” The vampire replied, fiddling with a bag on the sink counter. He took out a small purple tube of mascara before applying it to his lashes. Astarion put the mascara back before grabbing a black eyeliner pencil.

“You're ridiculous but I-.......Where did you get that make up?” Winnie said as she looked back at him and blinked.

“Oh this? I found it in your mother's closet the other day. Looked like it hadn't been touched in a while so I thought it best not to let it go to waste.” Astarion replied as applied the eyeliner under his eyes.

“Don't steal from my mom. You know you can ask me if you want something right?” Winnie let out a sigh and kept brushing her teeth. She spat out into the sink before rinsing the sink and her toothbrush off. Then she walked back into her room, picking her backpack up off the floor.

Astarion came out and swiftly grabbed Winnie’s purple hoodie from the closet. He pulled it over his arms and let it hang off his shoulders before following his love out the door.

Theys snuck out of the house quietly, making sure to lock all the doors behind them before leaving. Winnie hopped onto her motorcycle with Astarion getting on behind her as the two set off. It was 8pm by the time they reached the carnival. The rides were all illuminated up with bright colorful lights. The sound of screams of excitement filled the air as did the delicious smell of fried foods.

Astarion glanced up at the strange contraptions with curiosity and a slight wariness. This wasn't like the circus as he predicted it would be like.

Winnie smiled a bit, memories from past trips to the carnival flooded her mind, filling her with joy and sudden enthusiasm. Perhaps this would actually be fun? She quickly shook her head, she needed to focus! There was another reason they were going here!

Winnie got off the bike and led her vampire up to the entrance. He kept an arm locked with hers as they purchased their tickets, heading inside. Winnie checked her cellphone to see if there were any messages from Becca.

“Okay, Becca's here. She’s with her boyfriend waiting for us by the snack stand.” Winnie hummed before looking over at Astarion. His eyes scanned around the crowd. There were so many people and a sweet alluring scent hit him like a brick.

“Hon? You alright?” Winnie asked curiously before noticing some random guy had fallen on the sidewalk and skinned his knee, drawing blood. Winnie placed a hand on Astarion’s face.

“Star…Look at me.” She said softly, causing his blood red orbs to snap back to her. “You haven't fed for a while have you?”

“I tried going out and hunting but the last few nights prey had become rather scarce…” Astarion admittedly.

“I told you, you were going to eat the whole forest. Look, hold on until we get back home and I'll let you feed from me.” Winnie said with a sweet smile.

“Thank you my sweet.” Astarion returned the smile before Winnie tugged him along.

“Now, let's go! Becca and Anthony are waiting!” Winnie exclaimed. They wandered through the carnival, marveling at the sights and sounds. The more they saw, the more Winnie began to grin, mind constantly slipping away from her main objective.

“Yo! Winnie!” Becca's voice snapped Winnie out of her thrill fueled trance. “Over here! Come meet my babe!” The redhead called. Sitting next to Becca was a tall lanky man with messy black hair and green eyes. He had to be about mid twenties and was dressed in a sleeveless blue hoodie and shorts.

Winnie walked over and smiled shyly, Astarion still holding on to her arm.

“Hey…I'm Winnie and this is Star…” Winnie introduced them.

“Star? So that's his name, huh? You know I can't quite put my finger on it but your boyfriend seems really familiar.” Becca scratched her head.

“The vampire from BG3! He looks kinda like him!” Anthony spoke up.

“Oh shit, you're right!” Becca exclaimed, “dude's even got elf ears on! Wicked!”

“Yeah, he really loves cosplaying!” Winnie said nervously. Astarion just stared at her in confusion.

“Cos-what?” He murmured.

“It's an amazing costume. You look pretty hot in it too!” Anthony grinned. Astarion smirked with a smug look.

“You flirt.” The elf rolled his eyes.

“He really is. It's part of his charm.” Becca giggled.

Winnie looked at the two with a slight discomfort, but shook it off. It was all harmless banter. “Anyway! Let's get this show on the road!” Becca hopped up with a grin.

Druid here! I hope I didn't make Vanessa too annoying, honestly I'm really just trying to portray her as a mischievous naive child though I can understand if she isn't well received. My smol MC is gonna grow very attached to Bela (like me Fr Fr ) and she’ll wanna cling to them especially when in human form bc they feel safe. Though, I feel like she’d also feel bad bc Bela is the alpha and prolly rlly busy. BUT then again I wanna imagine Bela doing paperwork and meetings with MC sitting on their lap as if it’s completely natural. Bela brainrot hits like a truck

Aw, the assumption that Bela would have more work because of their status is... kinda true, but they also greatly benefit from having the whole pack taking care of the pups when they need a break. This means that they don't feel the weight of their position as alpha, and that having another alpha in the pack would make alleviate a bit of their workload (for example an alpha MC could lead hunts in their place, or guard the territory or stay in the home to guard it when Bela has to go out to town).

Bela is so tactile too, in fact having a clingy MC is not a problem at all. They take great pleasure in having MC close to them, snuggling when doing work, or sharing chores together. They are delighted that MC accepts their touch, because sometimes even the pups get fed up on Bela taking them and cuddling them to death

So I passed the battle I've been stuck on and progressed quite a bit, only to get stuck on an even worse battle in which the angels don't die even after getting hit by Satan's attack heck yeah but man, Dantalian, Gusion, and Morax are so helpful, they saved my ass in every single one of the battles I passed today. So, a few days ago I pulled Stolas two times pretty useless so far, needs upgrading tho so let's be fair, plus I love his little crown, and got Valefor and the sunflower Barbatos (who is very helpful actually, and adorable with that rose coffin of his so it's a win-win) but only used Valefor and Stolas once, and Barbatos didn't live long but he did well. Good job, my sun-loving plant

Anyways, I poured my soul and promoted Satan's card twice and enhanced artifacts as well, so I finally beat those angels' feathered butts and passed :D

I'm going to see if I can beat a couple more battles, then focus on hoarding upgrade materials because I'm kinda broke right now lol bless Dark Sanctuaryyyy

Ai Di being so smol and wild and in love with Chen Yi since day one and Chen Yi who took a minute to fall but fell harder than Ai Di. Love how they were so protective of each other and I hope they're happily running the gang together.

YiwaMarine from Wedding Plan. I could gush about them for years. They were both so sweet and loving. They were just so into each other and Marine put up with Yiwa's terrible family and awful arrangement because she loved Yiwa so much. But also Yiwa was so protective of Marine. Sad I didn't get invited to the wedding.

Donghee and Hotae from Unintentional Love Story. Donghee was just a sweet and kind hearted barista in love with a hot headed thug. He was afraid to even reveal his feelings because he respected Hotae's family so much because they took such good care of him. These boys had a sort of Tom and Jerry type of dynamic. I'm glad Hotae didn't back down from Donghee, it was also cute how Wonyoung and Taejoon always got caught up in their mess.

AlanGumpa from Moonlight Chicken. Crazy how the fandom were just saying "wouldn't it be crazy if FirstKhao were a thing in MC??" And it was like the GMM gods heard us and slid it in. We didn't even get a lot but their handful of encounters were just... TOP FUCKING NOTCH. Wouldn't mind a MC sequel starring AlanGumpa as the main pairing.

Hyun Jae and Simeon from Jun& Jun. Not even a real couple but it was clear that Simeon was harboring a HUGE crush on Hyun Jae and was very upset that he stopped being his manager. I love that Hyun Jae wasn't afraid to call Simeon out on his BS but he also saw Simeon fort the amazing guy he was. I needed more of them.

They stole something? Not his MC, was probably somebody else. They burned down a building? The building was ugly and they did you a favor.

Ludovica: Watches the chaos from afar with dreamy eyes.

Aurelio: Finds you hilarious but also needs to keep you relatively in check because between the stupid shit you both do, someone needs to manage the stupidity or else you'll both end up in jail. Keeps you in arms reach whenever you go out so he can yank you back if you try to start a fight. Since he's tall, you look like an angry pomeranian on a leash next to him.

Elio: Finds you exhausting but lets you do you. Also hypes you up if your doing something he finds funny, but don't expect him to bail you out if you get arrested. He has never seen you before in his life.

(Part 5/ Bonus part of 4)

Aight. After the last post I totally had to check myself because I was under the impression that Junkhearts was the only movie of Tom’s I hadn’t yet seen, but apparently there was another one called Three Way Junction, AND I found another cameo (someone add these and Hello Apartment on Tom’s wiki, I can’t figure out a way to edit tables on there) (Edit: Took care of it.) A few wonderful people got in touch with this info, PLUS a bootleg link to watch the 1984 production Tom was in!! Just, THANK YOU folks, and you bet your ass I watched everything. Let me talk a bit about that before I move on to the links.

Junkhearts (2011)- War vet very kindly offers homeless girl shelter in his house, but her bad crowd (including her bf, played by Tom) comes along and invades his life. Tom is a Northern Irish boy in this (complete with the accent) and is the kind of dude who would walk into a situation and abuse everyone and everything. It blows my mind that this irl smol bean did so many disturbing/disturbed characters and did them SO well. He really makes the angel-faced-devil thing work. This movie is dark, and deals with heavy matters like PTSD and drugs. Be advised. Good movie tho.

Double Date (2017)- Do NOT ask me anything about this one, man, idk. Tom in a beard, hat, eyes rimmed in black liner, and with a fake rhinestone tear for 1:30 mins. I didn’t even hear what he said.

Three Way Junction (2018)- English architect (Tom) goes soul searching to Namibia, everyone he meets acts wiser than him, then he gets stranded in the desert. I will call this movie formulaic, but before that, let me acknowledge I was just getting comfortable, then it stepped on my throat and left me agonizingly invested for a good amount of time. The desert-stranded scenes, Tom almost dying from thirst and hunger, body switching off, face peeling from the sun, hallucinating, all alone… it was hard to watch, y’all (in a good way, I suppose). Tom gives it his all and it pays off, because by the end I wanted to scream along with him. The very end is, again, formulaic.

1984 on Broadway (2017)- Winston in the book: I am a 39 y/o gray dude, oppressed and depressed, listen to my musings and experience about politics

Me: Of course! I am intellectually stimulated!

Tom’s Winston: *spits aggressively*

Trust Tom fuckin Sturridge to make Winston Smith SEXY I AM SO UPSET (AND HORNY) *deep breath* okay. Olivia Wilde broke Tom’s nose acting this, he broke her tailbone. People fainted, threw up, and left the theatre. Need I say more about how intense this production was? And I abfuckingsolutely loved it, oh my GOD. This was a brilliant adaptation of the classic George Orwell novel imo, the changes they made were very clever. Tom is the MC, and in the beginning, he is confused and is just reacting to things rather than acting. But he gets more and more into it and then comes the last act- graphic torture scene of him that they recreated from the book. I understand why people left the room, y’all. I mean, I KNEW what would happen and by the end even I was like ‘fuck me, fuck y’all, fuck this, what the fuck’, and I could PAUSE. But this is how 1984 should be, imo. I’m not saying this just because I’m a simp for Tom: the work he’s done for this is extraordinary. It takes a special kind of actor to even attempt something like it.

[Edit: I've discovered Tom also appeared in Brothers of the Head (2005), a mockumentary-movie about conjoined twins who became rockstars. Tom might be in it for just the ten seconds around 55:00 that I could find him in.]

Now that’s all done, let’s move on to the links. I know most people may have seen most of these, but still may be of help to a few? And I’m making this for my reference as much as for anyone else anyway, so.

Interviews/Being Filmed:

1. We all know there have been sooo many interviews from the Sandman junket. Some of my favorite moments:

a. Tom talking about his experience in the glass cage here (4:15), here (2:00) and here (4:12)

b. Tom shows us (11:34) his button brickphone. An aside: I think he at least had a smartphone at one point- you can see him tapping one here (:10) and he mentioned in the giggly Sea Wall interview that he browsed Wiki on his way there, so… anyway, point is tho, it’s none of our fuckin business

c. Vivienne praises Tom so much that he clenches his fists and is out of breath. Aside: When people he’s less familiar with drop praises, he has no reaction. Like, not even awkwardness, zero reaction except a half smile, e.g. here (4:43), here (4:04) and here (10:11). I just think it’s a funny shy boi thing XD

d. Totally RANDOM, but I love his eyeroll (9:00)

e. Unexpectedly deep and amazing answer to what nightmare Tom would give other people (plus everything else tbh)

f. Tom insisting that eating only within 4 out of 24 hrs and exercising for 5 hrs each day for 3 months was ‘easy’ compared to actually playing Morpheus. This man is insane.

g. Tom stole the sand pouch and is so shifty about it lmao

h. I said this before: Tom and Morpheus are still totally separate in my mind, so seeing this BTS when he’s dressed as Morpheus but speaks as Tom is a reality-shifting experience for me every time. Also, in natural light the subtle eye makeup is really popping. God, this man would KILL it with smokey eyes!

2. I love animated talkers who are also articulate, they tend to be the best storytellers. Tom being just that in these Orphans (5:12) and Sea Wall (37:26) interviews (I recommend watching Tom in both in full, tbh)

3. Linking this Orphans interview because a. His eloquence and wisdom shine through and b. He’s looking sort of devastatingly pretty

4. Tom can play the piano!

5. Never seen a Brit giggle so much (I know I already gif-ed this but you gotta hear the SOUNDS)

6. Englishman struggles to speak English for half a minute straight

7. Tom’s workout vid for Sandman. Not to ogle, to appreciate the unholy amount of effort. You can also see the inconspicuous S tattoo on his back (for his ex, I guess). This man is wearing a hat in the gym... hair too long?

I think I mentioned this in one of my ask bundles but imma double down on it just because. Stepbro au, mc's first crush. She comes home dazed for days and her brothers initially worried she was getting sick. When confirmed she was not, they start noticing strange lil habits like requesting small treats to take to school and then asking them questions about what they tended to like when they were her age. Then Xiao and Albedo, whom both help her with homework sometimes, notice something odd. (1)

(2) There are doodles scattered in some of her notes sometimes. Full of hearts, sometimes stick figures of a girl and boy holding hands, and finally...a heart with two initials in it and a plus sign in-between (the cliche romance gimmick mc saw in one of Ayato's old rom-com flicks). To make matters worse, Albedo finds out Klee instigated it when he asked her about it. At that moment, the brothers realized in horror that the day had come. Their baby sister's first crush. They panic and started...

(3)...doing the silliest antics like comically crying while hugging her, saying they're not ready to give away their baby sis; or just giving her this protective look while glaring at the other kids in school whenever they pick her up or drop her off in school. It becomes so stupid when the crush fades after a month. Little do they know it was because mc's crush had some older sisters that wanted him to befriend her so they have an excuse to talk to her brothers. Her crush faded as she pouted to herself, thinking with a hint of bashful possessiveness that she isn't ready to share her brothers with anyone. She told this to them when she caught Childe and Venti scheming a stakeout near her school to investigate her crush. Cue all the brothers going 💘💓💘💓 knowing their baby sister is as protective of them as they are of her. Like, they just adore her even more now.

It was basically chaos when some of the members of the house heard what happened. You fell in love?? Crush?? How??? You are like smol, very smol, basically a baby! how can you even have a crush now?

Okay maybe that was a bit exaggerated but Childe and Venti's panic wasn't getting any better anytime soon. Childe is basically asking how could you betray your brother like this, he thought that you loved him the most! How could you?? Venti was no better as he started playing dramatic music with his harp sighing and in tears. How could you betray your amazing brother!!

Kazuha watched as the older brothers who all gathered together that day for some time to catch up, and update each other on what they were doing and such all in union choked on their drinks (wine and for Diluc grape juice.)

"Pray tell Kazuha where did you find such information? Cause clearly none of us found it really funny." Ayato was the first one to speak, placing his glass down and looking at Kazuha with a smile on his face yet his eyes were frosty and sharp, if it was someone else they would hesitate to talk.

"She told me," Kazuha told him bluntly

Kaeya watched as the glass that Albedo was holding cracked slightly, his face strangely stoic. Albedo has grown rather protective over you, especially after that bike incident where you almost hurt yourself. Kaeya had to scoot a little away from the blond man having a bit of fear when he saw his eyes.

Zhongli carefully placed his wine down "She should have told me..." he mumbled in a low tone rather than the fact that you had a crush he was more surprised that you didn't tell him. "Big brother, just because you are the oldest doesn't mean that our little sister would go to you for everything." Ayato was rather miffed by what the oldest had said.

"Yeah! I am her favorite brother!!" Childe suddenly cut in.

Somehow the topic changed to who you liked more. Xiao and Kazuha were the only ones who weren't technically in the conversation and instead choose to find where you were to find more information about this boy.

The others would join later... when that happens... Kazuha isn't sure when the fight would end but Xiao isn't gonna be helping them.

Thank you!! 🧡This idea is so sweet, my poor heart- It was so much fun figuring out how each noble would behave. And kings alone are way too precious to handle. I’m weak, I’d spoil them rotten the moment I see them 😭

Let's go with the idea that the kings remember their adulthood, but vaguely. They know they are kings, they know they have responsibilities, but their little heads don't quite understand what it all means. Kings, their nobles, and a little guest from other country, I had to.

Satan

Neither you nor Sitri know what to do with this little creature that stands there and stares at you with big red eyes. When Satan stand on tip toes and puts his hands up, you take him in your arms with no hesitation. He nuzzles to your chest with pure love, but soon he gets distracted. With every explosion he bounces. More like he wanted to go outside to fight than he was afraid.

Sitri didn't want to let him go. First of all, it's dangerous, second of all, is it a good idea for Gehenna's people to see this? But you promise you'll be careful. After all, Sitri will protect you, right? And with these sweet words, you get into his head enough for him to agree to go out with you.

Satan really want to fight. As you reached other nobles, this child tried to take Leraye's sniper rifle. Leraye doesn’t mind, but you do. Paimon was the one who bring destruction over you, leaning over Satan and cooing:

“Awww, do you like being in MC’s arms because it makes you bigger?”

Satan’s red eyes blazed with fury. The fists clenched in your blouse reached out to Sitri. Do you think he forgot how to fight? Mistake. When his right-hand devil tried to take him, Satan bit him with such force that blood spattered all over you. You were lucky that before the scythe landed on you all, Belial put screaming Jiyu in Satan’s arms to distract him. Sorry, Jiyu. You're a good toy.

Those who turned out to be the best with little Satan are Zagan and Astaroth. Zagan took him to a private gym away from your eyes so you won't see how much weight he puts for this child on the bar, and when Satan gets tired, Astaroth will put him to bed. Who else can tell fairy tales if not him.

PS. Personal little headcanon that Astaroth was one of the royal nannies, I mean, older demons who have known kings as children. Like Gusion. In the end, Satan took him to the dentist he is afraid of, doesn’t he?

PSS. Paimon is an influencer, right? Better dissuade him from posting photos of the little king on the FacePunchBook, because this time you won't avoid destruction.

Mammon

Mammon is very unhappy with his small body. He would like bigger! But promise him you'll give him all the toys he wants, and you'll already have his attention. Bimet is disgusted by the whole incident. Were the kings again at the dinner prepared by His Majesty Beelzebub? What a waste of time. But he will still follow the child step by step, grumbling under his breath.

Valefor will have fun taking you shopping. You'll have to keep an eye on Mammon, who's taking everything off the shelves, and pick out his pockets before you get to the cash registers. Everything is his, so he takes everything. Eventually you give up and just leave a generous tip to cover any costs you may inadvertently incur.

Eligos will pamper the little king in every possible way, first buying him hundreds of little clothes and then eating tons of food with him. Mammon will happily agree to this when he hears that eating will make him big. You will have to intervene here too. Seeing that he is not able to eat as much as the older devil, Mammon will be pouting, so during the feast you will take him to a rich playground with huge ball pits and slides, which can be found in every decent shopping center. Despite everything, he is the nicest child of all.

PS. What to do with the little clothes once he is back to normal size? Oh, it's simple. Adult Mammon has a solution. You can feel free to keep them because they will be useful for your future children. But first you have to make these children... okay maybe let's stop here.

Beelzebub

The commotion that suddenly appeared in the court was enormous. You heard not one, but two names that moved the devils as you ran down to the hall. Both names were not in vain; Andrealphus stood in the hall with a small, extremely familiar child in his arms. As it turned out, he found it in the dark alleys of Avisos and knew perfectly well that it was the little king. How? You didn't find out because he disappeared as quickly as he appeared when Bael came.

Beelzebub looks around curiously, as if he were in a completely new place. He remembers being an adult, but nobody needs to know that, right? It’s going to be way more fun like this! Of course, Bael has no mercy. Beel's sweet eyes don't work on him. He took little king to the office and told him to paint patterns (if he doesn't do documents, make him paint the paper to prepare for it as an adult.)

This little shit boy will give you a huge headache. All you had to do was let him down for about three hundredths of a second, and he was gone. Once you found him, you first had to take his pistols (from Stolas) and rifles (from Amon). The nobles saw nothing wrong with it. On the contrary, they followed him faithfully, allowing him to do whatever he wanted. They spoil him in every way possible (ok, Amon do it, Stolas tries to stop him but it's Amon). You were saved by Naberius, who managed to keep Beel interested for a little longer. After all, what child wouldn't want to play with a giant, fluffy dog?

Leviathan

Foras and Barbatos conferred intensely while you sat cross-legged with the most beautiful child you had ever seen. Leviathan looked at his little hands with a terrified look on his face. Normal Leviathan would never allow himself to get so emotional. But a child? He was on the verge of bursting into tears. You hugged him. Of all the people in all of Hell, Levi's childhood was one of his worst nightmares. First he froze in fear... and then he hid in your arms. Just for a moment. To calm his breathing a little. And maybe, but only maybe, to cry.

Once the two devils decided it was best to keep Glasyalabolas and Orias away, they turned out to be quite good babysitters. Once he slowly calmed down, Levi wanted to work. He tried, but his crooked child's handwriting looked bad on documents and it drove him crazy (and on the verge of tears, again). Two devils decided it is better to distract him. They took turns sitting with you both, keeping an eye on you and entertaining along the way. Barbatos took you two for a walk and Foras gave him beautiful figurines carved from his horns to play with.

There was no need to worry about Glasyal. As soon as he appeared on the horizon, Levi hung him up as a reminder who was boss despite his petite size. Which Glasyal would think was unfair, because after all, he wasn't trying to knock him off his throne or anything yet. Impressive that there is still so much power in such a small body... It was quite fun to see His Majesty in the pocket version, too.

Concern for Orias was completely unfounded. You didn't know it, but as soon as he saw Leviathan so young, he left the castle. His soul, little, familiar soul suddenly seemed much less appetizing.
