Victor Gadino's cover art for the novels of Gordon Merrick. With the exception of A Measure of Madness (1986, Warner), all were released by Avon, from 1971 to 1984.

I'm not particularly fond of Merrick's work, but these Gadino covers remain among the greatest of gay literature.

As all you Vonnegut fans know, Kilgore Trout a fictional recurring character in many of Kurt Vonnegut’s novels. This book first appeared as a fictitious "excerpt" - attributed to Trout (though written by Vonnegut) - in the ninth chapter of Vonnegut's God Bless You, Mr. Rosewater (1965). Farmer expanded the fragment with Vonnegut's permission into an entire standalone novel (including, as an in-joke, a scene that incorporates all of Vonnegut's original text). This first edition does not credit Farmer as the author on the cover, though subsequent printings of the novel do show the author as Philip José Farmer.
