Cottage Cheese and Kidney Bean Salad

Sounds horrible but easy for an early attempt with these recipes. Six servings?! Who the fuck wants to share this garbage?

So the first step is to beat my cottage cheese. I'm done. Maybe it's the wine, but I can't stop laughing about beating my cheese.

Now I'm adding the milk with dissolved gelatin with the pepper, onion, and French dressing. Sweet Jesus this is nasty looking.

Seriously, this looks awful. My kitchen partner has now backed away because she is terrified that I'll ask her to try it. This is like the mafia. You don't ever get out and you bought these vintage molds, bee-otch. You may as well have gotten a matching tattoo with me. Now I'm folding in the cabbage and beans. If the dairy has you all backed up this gargantuan amount of fiber will get it all moving again. This dish should be a big hit for romantic evenings. I think it would nicely compliment a good chardonnay.

Look at this. I know I've seen this before after a night of kamikaze shooters and Mexican food. It's glorious and I'm having drunk flashbacks.

Here we go on its bed of lettuce with cucumber garnish. How do I describe the flavor? It is exactly what you would expect from something made of French dressing, kidney beans, cottage cheese, and cabbage. You may be hopeful that somehow everything will come together to make a decently flavored dish but it tastes exactly as you would expect. Even the rescue dog who spent the first three years of his life not knowing where his next meal was coming from gave this a sniff and walked away. My husband told me I was fucking crazy if he was going to try it. My marriage is a sham.
