Im going to have to learn new depths of emotional maturity to handle the field school this season tbh

#several people I would rather NOT spend my summer doing manual work with are going AND the director said she’s moving me from my trench of #2 years to a different trench bc of some valid reasons of what I know a lot about BUT that trench is MY baby and we were FINALLY through th #roof tile layer and I spent 2 years waiting for that #and my dig wife isn’t going this year 😭😭😭😫😫😫😫#she’s moving me to the trench that they found a forge in and didn’t get to bedrock yet in and I wrote my thesis on tools so like fair #but I fucking worked my ass off for that other trench and I don’t get to be there for the fruit of my labors #last season was HARD it rained so much and we were so busy and couldn’t excavate very many hours and the professional archaeologist assigned #to my trench had a different commitment so I was In Charge of that trench and fighting for my life to keep the mood up of the undergrads I #was supervising and I was in charge of making HARD decisions about how to excavate that trench #and now I’m being put at a different trench and like they already found the evidence of the forge like what more am I going to find there #but despite my gentle and polite protestations I am being reassigned to be in charge of that unit #which fine I’ll do my absolute best but I’m still upset

most fucked up thing at my new job is there's only zero calorie sweeteners at the coffee station in the break room. three different kinds of zero calorie sweetener but no regular sugar because the assumption is that literally everyone is on a diet?

#is this because its a job dominated by women in particular??? idk #that's so weird #like sorry i can taste the difference and i prefer naturally occurring sugar from nature how is that not even an option #drinking nasty bitter af coffee bc i am So Sleepy but i refuse to use artificial sweeteners #they Do taste different and they're not even good for you im not doing that lol #also they got mad at me for telling one of the parents that we took one of the kids temperature and it was 99 and he threw up a little #when his dad came to get him yesterday and all of the other teachers were nowhere to be found #they were like tou shouldnhave had colleen do that #ma'am colleen went home before that and so did you #i should have left already too but waited bc the ratio on the playground was bad #anyway i did NOT say he had a fever i said it was 99 and to talk to the teacher inside #but the dad didnt yalk to her clearly then went home and scared the mom that he had a fever and threw up so she texted my boss freaking out #i literally just said he threw up a little and we took his temperature and it was 99 and to talk to the other teacher #which was all true and there was no one else there to tell him #anyway #apparently the person who had my job before me was a wacko who scared the parents with fake medical information or something #but that is not my fault and nobody told me that or not to tell the parents anything medical until this morning #ugh #also my supervisor is kind of a weirdo #she wanted to show everyone ~cute~ pictures of animals she has killed while hunting???#and i said i didnt want to see #and she was like ~oh it's not dead yet in the picture~#like okay but its dead now???#she traps them first so its a cute little fox in a trap about to be killed 😭#like wtfff #i know trappong predators is a reality but why take pictures like ohhh so cute then kill it #THEN show everyone the cute pictures like yeah isnt he adorable i killed him btw <3 #huh??????#she has a bobcat tail on her keychain too she was giving it to the teachers and kids to pet like ohhh its so soft <3

i'm having a very strong urge to play the sims 2/the sims 3 rn ngl 😮‍💨

#the work stress is INSANE at this point and i'm determined to resign in early january due to shitty work conditions #we're relocating like 15 meters into a 'box' that's been built near the building we are at atm #and there's literally no heating nor a restroom in there #and it's fucking winter man! it's cold as shit here so i am not risking my not so well already health anymore #the amount of grey hair on my head doubled ever since i signed up for this job i can't do this anymore i need to look for a new job #not that it will be any less stressful of course but at least i won't have to break my head trying to fulfil the basic human needs #in 5 seconds in those 12 hours where we have no official break?? and if i try to close to use restroom at the current place ppl be banging #the door despite the sign to wait i'm doone #not even mentioning all the shit the coworker don't do so i have to do instead..#i just come here to vent and dissapear i am sorryyy 😭🥺 but i literally have no energy 😞

Baizhu’s Room

(note: this was written without any leaked spoilers or lore in mind)

Genshin 3.6 finally gave us access to the back room in Bubu Pharmacy, in anticipation of Baizhu’s upcoming release and story quest. And I have to give all the praise to the designers and developers here, because this small room has some of the best environmental storytelling I’ve seen in a game in a while, with only a few simple details. Today is Baizhu’s birthday, so I wanted to talk about it a little 💚🐍🌿

Nothing in this room is neatly in its place. The chairs aren’t in position, everything on the desk is messy and strewn about, and some of the drawers are left open. There’s a pillow on the desk, as well. Baizhu is quite frail and sickly, so this all paints a picture of him constantly looking for things and working, both as a doctor and frantically on his research into immortality, without having the energy or care to keep everything neat, and probably often falling asleep at his desk out of exhaustion (hence the pillow, though admittedly it could be for Changsheng, but I kind of doubt it).

There’s medicine on the bedside tables, which is probably just as much for Baizhu as it (and all the other medicine in the room) is for his patients. The bedside chair indicates he likely sits with patients there a lot so as to be as comforting as possible, but again, it’s also likely for people like Gui and Qiqi, when Baizhu is the one in bed. The sole small washtub thing stuck in the corner behind the screen... just makes me sad. I don’t know why in particular... it just does.

All of this, combined with the lighting, and the new, unique song, creates a room that manages to feel both warm and welcoming during the day, but solemn, lonely, almost suffocating, and unbearably sad at night, completely befitting the person who practically lives here, and the two very different sides he has. I say “practically”, but we have no indication so far that Baizhu actually does live anywhere else -- with his low energy and poor health, and all those damn steps leading up to the pharmacy, I’m fully convinced now that he does live here full-time, after seeing the state of it, which is... heartbreaking. He puts on a smile for everyone around him who are relying on him to care for them (and he loves his job, he truly does!), but his tiny, cramped patient room seemingly doubles as his living space, and even though Baizhu may lie and try to hide his own suffering... this room itself does not lie, and said suffering is bleeding from every corner here. The music is elegant, gentle, comforting, and soothing, but also delicate, weak, mournful, and again unimaginably lonely...... just like Baizhu. 💔

If you haven’t been here yet in the game, I highly recommend you visit it at least once; the atmosphere is simply unmatched. I can’t wait to see what happens here in Baizhu’s story quest, and how it will wreck our hearts even more 💚💔

Oh God! It was so loudly said in this episode!! Buck, worrying about Bobby's state of mind and getting him to disclose the secret ingredient.

Bobby's little smile when Buck raves about the difference in the taste after adding the ingredient.

And don't even get me started about the whole accident scene with the baby in the car! Omg, that threw me back to S1 to the full moon episode, where Bobby and Buck walk into the yoga class, and Buck helps deliver his first baby.

"Delivering" the baby from that little space in the car, handing him over to Buck. Saying the same words, he said to the baby, later to Buck, when Eddie lowered him into Bobby's arms.

I am so emotional about this!! 😭❤️

That is the very definition of a father son relationship. No mistake about it!
