The full card for Shields-Marshall is available and it’s a LOT. Admittedly, only the top two fights should be competitive. The rest are show case fights for women who are the future of women’s boxing.
Claressa Shields (12-0) vs Savannah Marshall (12-0) - for the WBC, WBA, IBF, WBO, and WBF middleweight titles. Arguably the biggest fight to make in women’s boxing right now. Shields is a two division undisputed champion, the only in modern history male or female. Marshall is a KO artist who has been brutalizing the division since going pro and is the only women to ever beat Shields (back in like 2012 when Shields was like 17), pro or amateur. It’s a rematch that’s been a decade in the making.
Mikaela Mayer (17-0) vs Alycia Baumgardner (12-1) - For the IBF, WBC, and WBO super featherweight titles. Another unification match. Another top 5 fight in women’s boxing. Mayer, a former Olympian, has shown she has deserved the push she has gotten from Top Rank in the ring. She has knocked off like 5 straight former world champions en route to this fight. Baumgardner isn’t supposed to be here. She was supposed to be Terri Harper but inserted herself into this fight by knocking Harper out and showing she’s a legit P4P talent in the sport, having been overlooked by promoters and boxing media for years. Now she’s got the biggest stage of her career thus far.
Caroline Dubois (3-0) vs Milena Koleva (10-14-1) - first showcase fight. At lightweight (135lb). Dubois is a former Olympian and sister to heavyweight contender Daniel Dubois. She is extremely skilled and at 21, I have no doubt she will be a world champion in the near future.
Lauren Price (1-0) vs Timea Belik (6-6) - welterweight. Lauren Price is an Olympic gold medalist at middleweight who has moved down to 147lbs. She’s got amateur wins over Savannah Marshall and is one of the best prospects in women’s boxing right now. She’s probably going to be fighting for a world title in the near future.
Shannon Ryan (2-0) vs Buchra El Quaissi (3-2-3) - another showcase. Ryan is a former Olympic TKD fighter, who transitioned to kickboxing before coming to boxing. She’s got a unique background for the sport and with Anthony Joshua as her manager, I’m interested to see how she does long term.
Ginny Fuchs (1-0) vs Gemma Ruegg (5-4) - at flyweight. Fuchs was the longtime captain of USA boxing. A bronze winner at the world championships and former Olympian, she has the technical skills and athletic ability to make a run at a flyweight world title.
Karriss Artingstall (1-0) vs Marina Sakharov (5-16-2) - featherweight bout. Artingstall is a 2020 Olympic bronze medalist for team GB. She’s long and sharp. She’s got a considerable amount of polish for someone who only has one pro fight.
April Hunter (5-1) vs Erica Juana Gabriela Alvarez (3-6)
Ebonie Jones (2-0-1) vs Vanesa Caballero (4-15-3)
Sarah Liegmann (4-0) vs Bec Connolly (3-15)

Manny Pacquiao The Greatest Player Overweight Walls
Manny Pacquiao The Greatest Player Overweight Walls
Tumblr media
He is a boxer and politician from the Philippines. He is considered one of the best in the boxing world and is the oldest WBA welterweight super champion as of 2019. The match against his contemporary rival Floyd Mayweather Jr. was so much in the spotlight that it collected the highest ever fee in fighting sports history.
Boxing began at the age of 14, made his professional boxing debut at the age of 16, originally playing in the light flyweight to flyweight division, but after winning the WBC flyweight division, he gained three weight classes due to severe weight loss, and became the first in the world to win eight weight class. There are many multi-weight class winners in boxing history, but nevertheless, they are praised as one of the best players of the time if they are only two to three weight classes and four to five weight classes or more. It is very difficult to work in a multi-weight class. Aside from the title, the weight class that has gone through so far is as much as 11 weight classes. And so far, at the age of 40, he has been maintaining his skills by beating young champions by nearly 10 years.
When Manny Pacquiao became a flyweight champion, the world did not recognize him. This is because the lightweight class was not a very popular weight class, and it was not a remarkable achievement. However, the world was shocked by his performance when a boxer who was working in the lightweight class raised his weight to medium weight class, fought in the ring of the United States, won eight weight classes, became a big star, and received tens of millions of millions of dollars.
In addition, there is no doubt about their ability as they are only the top-class opponents of the time, including Antonio Barrera, Eric Morales, Juan Manuel Marquez, Miguel Coto, Shane Mosley, Ricky Hatton, and Oscar Dela Hoya, who beat Nasim Hamed for the first time. He also showed his tremendous skills again against Keith Sherman, who was 10 years younger than him at age 40 in 2019 and was the best player in welter besides Crawford and Spence. As a famous game maker who unilaterally organized these players like a sandbag, he is the world's first lightweight champion to surpass $10 million in battle fees and now has a $20 million battle fee.
As a great player who has surpassed the weight barrier, he will remain the legendary champion of boxing even after retirement, and Boxing Hall of Fame induction is a boxer who is literally "Living Legend" that has already been booked.

Ramirez-Commey and Estrada-Rupprecht will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
FRESNO, Calif. — The fighting pride of California’s Central Valley and one of boxing’s pound-for-pound queens are joining forces for a special Fresno Fight Night.   Former unified 140-pound world champion Jose Ramirez will meet former lightweight world champion Richard “RC” Commey in the 12-round junior welterweight main event Saturday, March 25, at Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.   The co-feature will be a world title unification clash, as WBA minimumweight world champion Seniesa “Super Bad” Estrada collides with WBC world champion Tina Rupprecht. Ramirez-Commey and Estrada-Rupprecht will be broadcast live on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+ at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.   Promoted by Top Rank, in association with DiBella Entertainment, tickets starting at $29 go on sale go on sale Friday, Jan. 13 at 10 a.m. PT and can be purchased at Ticketmaster.com and the Arena Box Office.   Ramirez (27-1, 17 KOs), from Avenal, California, returns home to the friendly confines of the Save Mart Center, which has hosted six of his previous fights. Following his 2021 decision defeat to Josh Taylor for the undisputed junior welterweight title, Ramirez rebounded last March with a unanimous decision victory over former two-weight world champion Jose Pedraza. He has been among the sport’s best 140-pounders since winning the WBC world title over Amir Imam in March 2018. After defending that title twice, Ramirez stopped Maurice Hooker in six brutal rounds to unify the WBC and WBO titles. Ramirez retained both belts with a hard-fought majority decision over Viktor Postol in August 2020, a win that set up the Taylor showdown.    “Fresno and the Save Mart Center hold a special place in my heart, and I am blessed to be able fight in front of my Central Valley fans once again,” Ramirez said. “Richard Commey is a championship fighter with everything to gain. I expect the best version of Commey on March 25. My goal is to become champion again, and I am more motivated than ever to prove that I am the best junior welterweight in the world.”   "Ramirez is motivated like I have never seen, and he's out to prove some things,” said Rick Mirigian, Ramirez’s manager. “It all starts in Fresno in front of 15,000 hometown fans."   Commey (30-4-1, 27 KOs), from Accra, Ghana, made his name as one of the sport’s top lightweights, winning Commonwealth honors before capturing the IBF world title in February 2019. His title reign lasted 10 months, as he knocked out former world champion Ray Beltran before a stunning second-round stoppage defeat to Teofimo Lopez at Madison Square Garden. Commey’s lightweight run ended with a December 2021 decision loss to Vasiliy Lomachenko. Last August, in his junior welterweight debut, he fought to a 10-round draw against Pedraza.   Commey said, “I want to thank my team for putting me on the path to fulfilling my dream of becoming a two-weight world champion. I also want to thank Bob Arum and Top Rank for once again showing faith in me by allowing me to headline against a formidable opponent in Jose Ramirez. I’m up for the challenge, and I intend to make Ghana and all my fans around the world proud."   Estrada (23-0, 9 KOs), from East Los Angeles, California, returns to her home state intent on unifying world titles for the first time in her decorated career. The 30-year-old veteran turned pro nearly a dozen years ago and has competed at the world class level in three weight classes. In 2021, she captured the WBA minimumweight and WBO light flyweight titles in consecutive fights. Estrada then vacated the light flyweight title to pursue undisputed glory at minimumweight. She signed with Top Rank last year and returned from a nearly 11-month layoff in November to shut out Jazmin Gala Villarino.   “I want to give Tina credit for being a world champion who isn’t afraid of a unification fight, unlike Yokasta Valle,” Estrada said. “Since we couldn’t get Yokasta into the ring, we decided to do one better and fight the woman who beat her. The Fresno fans are passionate, and they are in for a great show.”   Rupprecht (12-0-1, 3 KOs), from Augsburg, Germany, has made five defenses of her world title after being elevated from interim champion in 2018. Earlier that year, she toppled Valle, who is the current IBF and WBO unified minimumweight world champion In July 2021, Rupprecht edged former world champion Katia Gutierrez by split decision. Following more than a year away from the ring, she shook off the ring rust to dominate Peruvian veteran Rocio Gaspar to set up the Estrada showdown. Rupprecht has fought all but one of her pro bouts in Germany and will make the nearly 6,000-mile journey in hopes of ruining Estrada’s undisputed goal.   “To fight in America against a fellow world champion in a world title unification is a dream come true for me,” Rupprecht said. “Seniesa is considered one of the sport’s best fighters, and I look forward to seeing who is the true number one in the division. This will be a Fight of the Year candidate and another huge night for female boxing. I’m going to be victorious and return to Germany with two world title belts.”   The undercard, streaming live and exclusively on ESPN+, is scheduled to include the following standouts: Lightweight contender Raymond “Danger” Muratalla (16-0, 13 KOs), from Fontana, California, and trained by Robert Garcia, makes his 2023 debut in a 10-rounder. Muratalla went 3-0 in 2022, including stoppage victories over veterans Jeremy Hill and Miguel Contreras.   Rising lightweight Karlos Balderas (14-1, 12 KOs), a 2016 U.S. Olympian from Santa Maria, California, looks to author his sixth consecutive victory in an eight-rounder. Balderas is coming off a career-best showing over Esteban Sanchez, a methodical beatdown that resulted in an eighth-round TKO.   Antonio “El Gigante” Mireles (6-0, 6 KOs), a 6-foot-9 heavyweight from Des Moines, Iowa, aims for knockout number seven in a six-rounder. Mireles has three first-round knockouts and three second-round stoppages on his ledger.   Lightweight prospect Charlie Sheehy (5-0, 4 KOs), the former U.S. amateur star from Brisbane, California, makes his third professional appearance in Fresno in a six-rounder.   Javier “Milwaukee Made” Martinez (8-0, 2 KOs), who trains with Ramirez at Robert Garcia Boxing Academy, will fight an opponent to be named in a six-round middleweight tilt.   Flyweight prospect Jessie James Guerrero (3-0-1, 3 KOs), from Gilroy, California, will see action in a four-rounder in his U.S. debut.

Combat Sports for the Week of 6/14/2021
God, I have not posted one of these in like 5 years but I was looking at what was happening this week and there was so much good stuff I figured I’d share.
PFL 2021 #5: Regular Season - 6/17/2021 - The welterweight and light heavyweight regular season will conclude on this one. Rory MacDonald, Gleison Tibau, Ray Cooper III, Emiliano Sordi, Chris Camozzi, Cezar Ferreira, Antonio Carlos Jr, Vinny Magalhaes, Curtis Millender, and more will all be fighting for a spot in the PFL playoffs and a shot at $1 million.
RISE 150 - 6/18/2021 - The RISE 65kg champion Kosei Yamada will look for revenge when he puts up his title as he faces off with Katsuki Kitano.
UFC Fight Night: Korean Zombie vs. Ige - 6/19/2021 - All action main event featuring Dan Ige trying to make himself a contender as he’s set to face off with the Korean Zombie. Also featured on this one is Chito Vera vs Davey Grant, Kanako Murata vs Virna Jandaroba, Tim Means vs Danny Roberts, Aleksei Oleinik vs Sergey Spivak, and a few other notable fights. Should be a good action card.
Triller Fight Club: Teofimo Lopez vs  George Kambosos Jr. - 6/19/2021 - Fresh off the biggest win of his career against Lomachenko, Teofimo Lopez will face off with his mandatory defense against undefeated Aussie George Kambosos Jr. On the undercard, we got a big women’s fight as well! Undefeated Swedish boxer Elin Cederroos and former US national team member Franchon Crews-Dezurn will face off to crown an undisputed champion for the women’s super middleweight division. Big night.
Naoya Inoue vs Michael Dasmarinas - 6/19/2021 - Super Bantamweight Monster Naoya Inoue continues his concurring of the U.S. as he returns to ESPN to face off with his mandatory Michael Dasmarinas as he waits for a big fight to make itself available. On the undercard, we have a big women’s boxing match on tap as Mikaela Mayer defends his WBO super featherweight championship against longtime veteran and former world champ Erica Anabella Farias.
Jaime Munguia vs Kamil Szeremeta - 6/19/2021 - Mexican middleweight Munguia will face off with a last minute replacement in Kamil Szeremeta. On the undercard, Olympic bronze medalist Marlen Esparza will face off with champion Ibeth Zamora Silva for the WBC flyweight title.
Jermall Charlo vs Juan Macias Montiel - 6/19/2021 - The undefeated Charlo will defend his WBC middleweight title against mandatory, Juan Montiel. Montiel is coming off a 1st round KO over James Kirkland.
Tribute to the Kings - 6/19/2021 - Julio Cesar Chavez Jr vs former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Julio Cesar Chavez Sr. vs Hector Camacho. Just fantastic.
Deep Jewels 33 - 6/19/2021 - Ignore the date on the poster, the card was postponed to this week. Judoka, wrestler, and sumo-ist(?) Seika Izawa challenges for the DJ strawweight title against champion Miki Motono in a rematch. Plus we have the semis and finals of DJ’s atomweight tournament.
DEEP Tokyo Impact 2021 ~2nd Round~ - 6/19/2021 - A card featuring a bunch of interesting Japanese up and coming talent, like Naoki Hirata and Kouya Kanda.
There’s some other interesting fights sprinkled about out there but these were the ones I thought yall would want to know about. If there’s ever another week with a bunch of cool stuff going on and I have time, I’ll try to throw another one of these together.

Australian star would take on Puerto Rican over longer distance – but first faces Mahfoud for WBC strap in Las Vegas
Skye Nicolson says she is open to facing Amanda Serrano over 12 three-minute rounds if that gets the fight on. The Australian is targeting a comprehensive win on Saturday night over Serrano’s old Sarah Mahfoud for the vacant WBC Featherweight belt at Bleaulive Theater at Fontainebleau Las Vegas, live worldwide on DAZN, to stake her claim for the mega showdown.
TICKETS ARE ON SALE NOW VIA TICKETMASTER
Nicolson (9-0 1 KO) is fighting Mahfoud (14-1 3 KOs) for the WBC strap that Serrano vacated in December, a move Nicolson has previously stated was due to the seven-weight champion not wanting to face her, and not down to wanting to fight over the 12 three-minute round distance.
The Australian star has landed the World title fight she’s been craving, albeit against tough Dane Mahfoud instead of the Puerto Rican. The duo previously met for undisputed in September 2022, with Serrano prevailing on points. Although Nicolson has put the Serrano fight to one side to focus on the task at hand, the 28-year-old can’t help that it’s a fight that she’s asked about all the time – and aims to deal with Mahfoud in better fashion than Serrano to prove she’s ready to take on the living legend. “I can only fight who they put in front of me,” said Nicolson. “Serrano is the dream fight, and to have been boxing for undisputed in my tenth fight would have been legendary, but it didn’t happen. It is what it is; I’m not looking past Sarah. I’ve got a good opponent in front of me, and it’s for the best belt in boxing, in my opinion, so I am fully focused on the job in front of me, and we’ll see what’s next after that.    I hope the Serrano fight happens; I am ready and waiting. I want the best; I feel like I am constantly saying it, but it’s true. I wanted the Serrano fight in my eighth and ninth fights. I have Sarah for my tenth fight, so maybe it’s Serrano in my 11th fight; who knows? I want the belts, so I am going to keep pushing for that.   “12 x 3s suits my style. I’m a patient fighter; I love the longer rounds, so for me, it makes sense. For women’s boxing, I personally don’t agree with 12 x 3s; I think the depth of women’s boxing, 10 x 2s, has been really good for growth. It’s kept it exciting, and you’ve seen the women’s fights steal the show time and again, and I think that’s down to the two-minute rounds. So, for me, I love three-minute rounds, but for women’s boxing, not so much - but if the only way to fight Serrano is over three minutes, sign me up.   “The Serrano fight for Sarah was 97-93, 97-93 and 99-92. That’s not happening, that’s all I will say. The way I am boxing right now, I don’t see the fight going the distance. If it does happen to go the distance, it’s 100-90.”
Nicolson’s clash with Mahfoud is part of a big night of action in Las Vegas, led by a double-header with two of America’s brightest stars: Richardson Hitchins takes on Gustavo Lemos in a final eliminator for the IBF World Jr. Welterweight title, and Diego Pacheco defends his USWBC and WBO International Super-Middleweight titles against Shawn McCalman.   British Olympic gold medal man Galal Yafai defends his WBC International Flyweight title against Agustin Mauro Gauto. Marc Castro gets a first title bout in his 12th pro outing, taking on Abraham Montoya for the vacant WBC Continental Americas Super-Featherweight title, Harley Mederos is in action for the sixth time in the paid ranks over six rounds against Pedro Vicente, and there’s a pro debut for former Team USA talent Steven Navarro over six rounds at Super-Flyweight against Jose Lopez.
