I think Sora should've gotten some kind of physical injury in DDD that carried over to his waking self in KH3. Not necessarily a scar, since that's mostly cosmetic - I'm thinking more like a limp, or a lack of coordination in his hands, something along those lines.

The main reason for this is because I don't think the game did a good job at selling the idea that Sora had been especially impaired. I know it was a magical impairment, and those aren't known for being visible, but then they have Pete remark on his appearance like it is something you can see, so. which is it

Seeing Sora fumble with holding the Keyblade in cutscenes, or having to watch him limp slightly in his running animation for most (if not all) of the game would really hammer in the fact that the last game had a negative impact on his abilities, even as he's pulling off grand, impressive feats.

We're all very accustomed to how Sora moves, so changing it in some way would do leagues in storytelling without having to say a single word. You could even have both of the examples I listed at once, and just have one clearly less-coordinated boy on your hands

Of course, some scenes would have to changed and new ones added to accomodate this, but I can only see opportunities for improvement here. Like, you could have a scene of Sora summoning the Keyblade and not being able to grab the hilt in time, so he eventually gets in the habit of holding out both hands to summon it instead. There's so much potential!

There's also room for a narrative here where the injury carrying over is due to psychological reasons, since his physical body is fine. Whether or not that's something he overcomes through the power of character development isn't something I have a strong opinion on, but I think you could make it work either way. I just really want to see this explored now

I have seen the men who are doctors refuse to leave their patients, even when they have no medicine or supplies to give them, even when they're threatened with bombings. I have seen fathers who have lost all their children pick orphans up into their arms and proclaim them their child so they are not alone. I have seen men and boys digging pets out of the rubble.

the men are innocent too. the men and boys are being hurt and killed too. the men and boys are grieving too. the men and boys are scared too. the men and boys are fighting to save their people too. the men and boys deserve to be fought for too.

Every time I rewatch TOH I remember how stellar the animation was and well buddy it's enough to make me want to murder the mf who cancelled it with my own to hands.

And that's only four examples. If you haven't given The Owl House a try, I BEG OF YOU PLEASE DO. It's one of the best shows I've had the pleasure of witnessing and it was done incredibly dirty by Disney's higher ups. But even with the cancellation Dana and her crew did a wonderful job at creating a very memorable series that I'm sure will survive for years to come.

People are dispensable. #He wants to climb for the sake of climbing. He wants praise and recognition because he feels it is deserved.
