kazuha - obsessed with her not being able to sing or rap at all but still giving it her all. she's the queen of being a dozen that is still key to her group's overall quality like can you imagine lessera without kazuha. we would never stop getting tortured by the yunjin show

jisoo - miss jisoo is my favorite bp member and i don't regret it at all like she can't dance she can't do much performance wise but she is so important to me. if we're being real she's a better singer than rose actually kpop stans just cant appreciate a lower husky tone unless it's their token mediocre male idol

minhyuk - not part of any lead position in monsta x and yet where would they be without him? he was my first bias in the group and i love him to death i think the world would be a better place if more idols were dozens in the way that minhyuk is

i just realized while coming up with this list how harder it is for me to like male dozens than female dozens. i can get down with almost any gg where members are visibly not pulling their weight (aka twice) but if a man dares to be a dozen publicly i normally want him stoned for his crimes. how dare you be talentless and take up space in a group (aka most nct men)

ok so it's not that I think they are mediocre but rather that I know how much being from a big company can determinate your success, onces will go on and on about how much jyp was broke before them and how sixteen had a low viewership rate and how jyp was almost "out" of the big3 (a lie bc if that was truly the case then yg wouldnt be considered big3 rn, big3 is about how much influence and power you have on media yes it's related to how rich the company is but not all that matters when we all know that's not even being considered by anyone lmao) but at the end of the day no matter what they were still under big3?? the amount of money they had to even START a show about the group and then to film the like ooh ahh mv was huge man, onces make it seem like they had 10 dollars and a dream when that was definitely not the case, I know I seem bitter about this but bc I'm a fan of a group who was truly in that situation it just seems so fake and attention seeking?? yall know how much an mv like like ohh ahh and cheer up cost?? yall know how much producers and outfits and hair and makeup and studio and everything else costs?? jyp was always powerful and just bc they were in a bad time and bc they got more rich after twice it doesnt mean they were # broke before them, of course luck is a factor in any situation but let's be honest, do you think if a company was that broke and if twice had done that badly in their debut an mv like cheer up would even exist?? it's expensive y'all

also about the mediocre thing: I dont think they are mediocre but rather that no twice track has made me fall in love with them, I do like some songs but that's it, I feel like after their cheer up promotions jyp was very smart and played all the right moves and got them even bigger, they are not mediocre but we all know jyp has a fucked up ear that has rejected THE iu and THE yuju which is now considered top3 best vocalists of the 3rd generation (along with eunji from apink and wendy from rv) and I dont think they have been necessarily giving them the songs that fit their voices the best, some of them are able to adapt better (nayeon) and some are not (ie: momo voice was too deep for some of her parts in more and more), at the end of the day it still sounds nice if you're not listening to the live locals, their choreography is okay but is more focused on going viral than anything lmao, it's not bad but you can definitely see the comeback their team opened their email box and found out about all the emails about onces having to defend themselves bc twice had easy choreographies and SOME members were still not doing okay vocally and then decided to turn up their difficultly level to catch up with the current trend among ggs at the time ON THE TOP OF making them a token gg (along bp) to white gays listen and like bc they werent cute like that anymore and were doing hard choreographies so they were # not like the other ggs and this only expanded twice fan numbers in western countries (I also think that the bigger a group is the more their fans get obsessed with them and stop caring about their song quality and only listen to them bc they're a fan not bc they truly enjoy the music anymore you know?? see our ambitions vs. other ggs are just mind blowing. it shocks me honestly how other groups have this many albums meanwhile we’re here hoping we can a) GET a full album b) reach 20 songs 😭 like for ex. I’ll be having an rv listening party and there’s so much variety and songs to listen too. it’s tasteful ‘cause i have so much to listen too, so much to hear. with bp, we literally have 13 songs.....it’s so hard to stream sometimes ‘cause like i want to hear something new. i want to hear ballads, other songs that showcase chaesoo’s vocals, jenlisa’s raps and singing, harmonizing, songs that are experimental with the bp touch, i want to hear more and see different concept photos and have a nice shelf with my bp albums but here we are......

Hey there it's your boiiii, never have I expected to remember this channel existed but oh well. Hope yall are doing great I guess. Well considering the fact that I am an atttention seeker and for some reason this trend didn't due yet… Y'all we are doing an unpopular K-pop oppinion video “cue the confetti” no confetti for me ? Okay I guess

Anyway warning, disclaimer, disclosure whatever u want to call it I guess … technically I shouldn't do this cuz u have prob watched 1 or 2 unpopular K-pop opinion vid but oh well ; Anyway Ill do it anyways ; I'm not trying to offend anyone, if you are offended I appologize before even starting and if u have a different opinion that's okay share in the comment section. Okay yall ?? Let's start them

Considering the fact that RV is my ult group I should start with them cuz I have opinions

1. Sassy me should've been the title track for their November comeback. I have prob listened to Sassy me a million time more than RBB cuz issa bop and low-key sounds like it wouldve been an amazing title track. That chorus tho whew.. but oh well stream RBB

2. RV needs more rap lines similar to ICC and red flavor but on a velvet concept that would be liiiit and Russian Roulette is their best song… fight me

3. I miss bts's old style.

I know I knoe they matured they couldn't comeback to being students in love.  But honestly I really really enjoy their “The Most Beautiful Moment in Life” era

I can listen to Young Forever (the repackaged ver.) on repeat all day, it is by far their best album and I love it

4. Mamamoo are queens of concepts. Thats all I can say . No explanation needed. Stream GOGOBEBE

5. Fanwars are dumb ; ouf I have to include this one but srsly. Fighting a fandom and bashing an artist doesn't make your fav better you are just showing to the world how toxic K-pop fandoms can be.. not only are u attacking ppl and offending them but also destroying K-pop image in general. If a non Kpop  artist saw how toxic y'all are, their will be no collabs with your fav. Think twice before fighting a fandom and bashing a group for literally no reasons. And that is the reason I quit Twitter haha

6. Tempo is better than love shot and Call me baby is still their best song.. again “it's my opinion”

7. Asking for a girl crush concept for twice is like asking for a pizza with brokoli. Wait is there a pizza with brokoli ? Wait there is !! Is it good ? I need to try it

Forget that, I can't think of twice in a girl crush concept at all and I think they are better off with what they are doing now. I'm excited for their April comback

8. Also BTS paved the way. I don't get why you guys are even arguing. Sure other K-pop acts tried opening the doors to the west, like PSY, SNSD, wonder girls and others oh yeah Sunmi is the one starting this debate just because she said it was BTS not her former group but you are bashing her like. Sorry but this doesn't make sense to me at all

9. Whistle is BP best song to date. Rap/visual/vocals and instruments are on point. But underrated

10. Mamamoo's fandom is the friendlier. What did u expect from a group always having fun and being them selves?

11. There is nothing as the worst / best Kpop entertainment company. Each one has it's strong suits and weak point. They all focus on the business side so I don't know why you guys are comparing

If a company is strong on something it is weak on something else.

not to be controversial but girl groups are the only ones who ever have to 'pick a concept.' like bts and exo do different things every comeback but twice has to keep putting out cute songs and clc has to pick a concept and blackpink has to release the exact same music each comeback. girls are the only ones expected to do the same thing over and over again to be sucessful.

hmmmmmmmmm... thats i feel like a very extensive topic and it’s really interesting to me to know what kind of marketing research and creative process (business vc art) goes into selecting kpop group’s concepts.. cos bangtan were stuck in the same hyyh concept for a few years lol just because that’s what made them boom to begin with lol... 

i think if we look at groups we can find examples of each case, like ggs keeping to the same sound and concept (twice kinda, gfriend bouncing back from fingertip), and successful ggs trying out diff concepts (snsd, afterschool kinda, exid etc)

i would agree that ggs feel more stifled genre/ concept wise, and a few artists seem to be breaking the mold and getting more creative with it (some rv concepts, exid, iu, beg, ladies code, wg) but most i feel like operate on the fact that they’re already big so theyre safe if they experiment musically..

idk if twice Have to put out cute concepts really, but as long as they keep selling mad numbers and top the charts i think jyp sees no reason to risk it with a gfriend fingertip situation lol.. 

ok i think i just explained to myself what ur point was to begin with lol.. i think this might do with the fact that ggs mostly rely on public support for streaming and popularity, while bgs do on loyal fandoms.. which is act interesting bc twice would be the only gg with the physicals solid enough to experiment musically, but i guess jyp don’t care much for that so :/

and with bp i think the problem lies deeper in yg/teddy’s music tastes lol..

clc i feel like are struggling to pick a concept that will stick with the public because they keep not being as successful as they should be by now already, so they’re jumping from one extreme to another..  and yeah youre right groups like btob have more freedom to flipflop between full ballad concepts and like dance songs i guess
