ASTRO OBSERVATIONS - MORE ABOUT THE STARS

Hey! My name is Monet. I wanted to share some more insight on the signs and some house placements. I hope you all enjoy!

Taurus suns are incredible listeners. They are big on gift giving and creating safe and sensual spaces for their partners. However they due tend to argue a lot, its the bull headed energy they have. Its an Adrenaline rush. Be careful not to be around them while their hot tempered, you might get a kick from the bull. On the bright side, their sensual personas is a gift from the cosmos. Jupiter 10th House individuals have an urgency to be successful, this can be a painful placement to have because while they may have big dreams their is a ton of practicality that comes in with this placement. This placement can be quite depressive when they aren't sure how their plans for the future can commence. They have to work hard to get to this dream however they must take into account that things don't always happen so quickly. Jupiter in this house shows a person with a magnetic persona, where people will feel the good energy on you and will latch on to it. It doesnt quite matter what this character is doing, they will always have a respectable aura to the masses. It is their gift.

Sun in the 11th shows a person who is popular with the masses, however it has its quirks. These are the internet famous geeks. The ones who turn the trends into their favor. Pioneers in the originality train. They normally just have to be themselves and people will be attracted to them. Angel dust is literally sprinkled on their character. For social media of course ;) jk. On another end, these people are quick to join different organizations and groups. However they feel at the moment, they usually take a chance in whatever is not the ordinary. 11th house is ruled by uranus/aquarius naturally, so the 11th house suns have a knack for creating and/or being in spaces where they can connect to people who are different from them.

Neptune 12th housers, whew boy. You guys have a gift in the subconscious that goes untapped by the rest of the world. Your gift in seeing things that arent there, can be used in creative/practical outlets. I'd argue that you could just paint or draw, but its much bigger than that. Sometimes thats not what you're subconscious is looking for. It requires you to seek it. Venus in Leo has a royal aura. Their charm can wow others and can make them fall in love easily. Their gift is in works of art but for them i do sense singing would be a great one for them. They don't need to have the 'best' voice. Just the confidence to keep going. Their magnetism is strongest during artistic associations because leo gets a knack out of being in the spotlight.

Mercury in the 3rd House has a significant tone to their voice. Its odd but its very distinctive that people enjoy listening. These people can also have a knack in playing instruments. Jazz style locations works for them. This is so the mind can relax as they are consistently on the go. Researching kills any acts of boredom easily, as this is a necessity for the mind.

like real brothers, or even closer!

sorry i had no idea what to name this, that three buckets quote stuck out in my mind so i picked that. but i HAD to write a tickle fic for fern. i also practically had to physically force myself to post this. enjoy!

finn and fern were laid on one of the many grassy hills surrounding them, deciding to stop on the way home after fern had (hesitantly, and with some persuasion of finn) tagged along with finn for an adventure. it was at least a nice day, so why not, he figured? the two just hanging out together seemed to be steadily turning into a common occurrence as of late.

recently, fern found himself slowly becoming a bit iffy on monster fighting and dungeon crawling and such, since now it only ever seemed to remind him of being finn, and that reminded him of a whole package of other things he’d rather not think about.

but something they found they both still enjoyed was just skygazing. they often liked to lay down in the grass or on the top of the treehouse together, count the clouds, or the stars. they’d talk about everything, or nothing. which is what they found themselves doing now! but today, fern just seemed… off.

well, he always seemed a little off. in a way that finn couldn’t fully put his finger on. and he wasn’t talking about his grassy appearance, or the way he talked to himself up on the roof, or how finn noticed sometimes his movements would get a little rigid. those were all things he’d learnt to get used to, eventually.

but its like fern was never truly happy, or even content. admittedly, he did express that a lot… mostly through anger or self deprecation. but even on a good day, finn could still see the misery flickering behind his eyes like the subtle flame of a candle.

finn tried to accept that thats just the way fern is, because he doesn’t want to pry at fern for something he isn’t even sure he could help with. but each day, it got increasingly harder to ignore seeing his… friend? or he supposed, brother, so unhappy.

especially today however, he seemed more distant than usual. as much as finn tried to help fern with advice or attempts to reassure him, it never really seemed to do much in the end. and the last thing he wanted was for him to feel worse.

he knew that fern wasn’t having the best time in terms of figuring out his identity, but he couldn’t help but feel like there was something more. something that he wouldn’t open up about.

he wasn’t sure how to help, but he did want to. talking about it would probably be the first step. whew, why was this kinda nerve wracking? the human collected his thoughts— synchronous to him collecting blades of grass below him, picking at them one by one.

“uh, by the way fern… are you doing okay? like… i’ve just noticed you seem pretty sad. or not sad but, i dunno, generally troubled maybe? not just today, but kinda all the times. if you don’t mind me asking, why? whats on your mind dude? you can tell me anything, you know? i’m just kinda worried.”

hm. that came out a bit more unsteady than he was hoping it would.

fern, seemingly disturbed from deeply zoning out at the endless blue above them, peered over at finn with a glimpse of annoyance on his face, to which was finn’s cue to suddenly feel guilty for even saying anything. but he figured he’d acknowledge finn’s concerns with some sort of answer.

“right. uh… i dunno. i mean i do know— but… its all just so… i doubt you would… ugh. there are a lot of reasons, finn.”

finn waited patiently for the other to continue, but after about ten long seconds passed with nothing else but a sigh from fern, he guessed that was all from him.

well! that didn’t exactly get them anywhere!

he let a few more pass as he thought about his next course of actions, now ripping up small chunks of grass as he did so.

clearly, when it came to emotions, verbal communication wasn’t exactly either of their strong points. something more to have in common, at least. so maybe trusty old physical affection would work. that was something he understood!

“if you can’t explain, would you… want a squoze? would that make you feel better?” finn languidly sat himself up, already anticipating the answer to be affirmative.

“mm… maybe.” fern figured it would at least help a little. so he followed, crawling towards finn, and leaning back against him as he got the life (oddly comfortingly) squeezed out of him.

“…yyyeah okay, it helps.” he sheepishly admitted. finn beamed at this, and remained hugging fern. after a few seconds of silence, he was going to say something, but he had to admit, it felt pretty nice to be held like this. it wasn’t often that he got any sort of physical comfort, or any comfort at all besides what finn would offer him. jake used to be the one responsible for that kind of thing…

finn’s smile faded as he heard fern sigh bitterly once more. maybe it hurt extra bad because they had some sort of twin-like emotional connection, but whatever the reason, fern being like this broke finn’s heart a little more than he would prefer. theres gotta be something that could help, right?

in his desperate mental search for solutions, suddenly a particularly interesting idea appeared in his head. but was that even still physically possible…?

he’d thought about the concept of fern being ticklish before, maybe once or twice. but usually just brushed it off, and promptly forgot about it. but being tickled used to cheer finn up all the time. what were the chances that it would work on fern as well? probably good chances!

it was an entertaining idea in theory, but how could he not have considered that maybe, if he still was, it could serve to be useful!

maybe he should try…

“hey fern, mind if i try something”

“hm? uh, yeah, sure.” he seemed to be zoning out again, absentmindedly going along with whatever finn said.

the teen tried to hold back his mischievous giggles as he squeezed ferns side. and to his surprise, he yelped and jerked away! now this just got 1000 times more interesting.

fern froze for a second, before looking back at finn in embarrassment.

“finn! what are you… don’t do that-”

finn couldn’t stop the giggles that poured out of him this time as he decided this plan was officially in action, making sure his arms were tightly wrapped around fern, effectively trapping him.

he gave fern no time to attempt an escape as he quickly started testing something, deciding to experimentally poke around his middle like he was studying a test subject.

fern choked out a sort of strangled noise, and quickly tried to bat finns hands away with his own. his attempts are pretty useless however, and once finn is satisfied with his discoveries, he wastes no time skittering his fingers against the smooth grass of fern’s tummy.

ferns willpower almost immediately breaks, letting himself burst into a fit of squeaky cackling.

although its panicked, his laugh is surprisingly bubbly. its quite the pleasant contrast from his usual tone of voice, and finn can’t help but quietly snicker along with him in amusement. when has he ever heard fern laugh like this? he isn’t sure he has!

his thoughts are cut off by fern rapidly starting to get squirmy and kicking frantically at the grass below them, digging up some dirt and weeds in the process.

“eheheheHEHE- NAHAHAHA!” he cried, quickly shaking his head back and fourth.

“aw, fern! i didn’t know you were so ticklish! i probably should’ve guessed, since i… uh, yeah. but this is honestly fun, heheh!”

“f- for yohou maybeheHEHE!! FIHIHIN!!!” he full on screamed as finn reached down to scribble at his knee on top of it all. so, seems they have the same tickle spots! that makes this a lot easier. finn cheekily noticed that he wasn’t exactly trying to get away, though.

“i dunno, it doesn’t really seem like you aren’t liking this… i bet you do!”

“nooohoho!”

“heh, you totally do man. buuut you know, thats not a bad thing! that means its helping you, right?” he momentarily let fern have a breather to think about this.

and yeah, as much as fern would like to deny it, he couldn’t ignore the warm feeling that fluttered in his chest. didn’t mean he had it in him to bring his voice up to anything louder than a mumble, though.

“hehe- uh… okay, maybe just a little.”

finn grinned at this, getting right back to work. “good! so, where does it tickle more? right there? orrr here?!”

“AH- eheHEhe wait wait, WAHAHAH PLEHEHESHE!! oh gLOB!!”

and wait he did not! fern tried not to make so many embarrassing flailing movements or squeaky noises, but honestly, when his body felt like it was melting into a tickly mush, he’s pretty sure his mind had short circuited and abandoned whatever remaining composure he once had long ago.

finn started digging his fingers into fern’s ribs (or where they would be) and giggled at how his shrieks raised an octave. he was almost smiling as much as fern at this point.

it was surprisingly gratifying watching how his brother went from visibly upset, to now laughing so hard his eyes started to prick with mirthful tears in a matter of minutes.

occasionally, finn even earned some snorts from fern (which he did not fail to tease him about) as he switched to erratically claw and poke along his sides and belly. once finn realized fern was particularly sensitive to the rougher methods, he definitely made sure to utilize that knowledge. fern never remembered being this good at tickling people when he was finn, whats the deal!

after a bit longer of this, all fern could do in his weakened state is kick about helplessly, and let out giggly pleas for finn to have mercy through his shrill shrieks and babbling. or, thats what it sounds like hes saying… sort of. its kinda hard to tell at this point.

he decided to let up after fern’s voice started getting a little too wheezy, releasing him from the chamber that was his arms.

fern immediately flopped onto the ground, curling into himself and softly giggling at the tickly feeling that lingered on him. he didn’t realize how heated his face felt until now… and also until finn scooted over to look at him, and as the cherry on top of the embarrassment cake, pointed it out.

“woah, your face is… wait! is that supposed to be blush, or something? your cheeks are covered in flowers dude! ehehe!”

fern only groaned in response, hiding his face in his hands... yet he couldn’t help the giddy smile that remained plastered on it. his body felt all light and warm, and in the back of his mind he realized this was the happiest he’s felt in a long while… or maybe even ever, as himself.

but finn’s voice cut through his train of thought before he could let himself get lost in it.

“err, you… doing okay? sorry if i went too far. i kinda tend to do that, i think. but i didn’t even know you could still be ticklish! that was probs the most i’ve ever heard you laugh, too!” fern stayed silent as he continued to gain back his energy. but finn didn’t mind.

he went to lay next to fern, probably to be able to at least read him a little better.

“…so, don’t you feel a little better? eeeeh?”

the grassy creature uncovered his face, briefly taking a moment to brush off the flowers (and a mushroom that had apparently sprouted atop his head at some point) before meeting finn’s expectant gaze. a beat of silence passed, then his eyes suddenly lit up as he appeared to come to a realization.

“huh, yeah! i actually do! …i guess i never really get to feel that carefree. i don’t think i’ve actually been able to since i was a finn… but that really distracted me from stuff, you know?” he rubbed his arm meekly, suddenly lowering his voice to almost a whisper as he picked away some stray grass blades that stuck out.

“and it was… uh, kinda fun. you know, kinda like we used to do with jake. so thanks.”

and he smiled. probably one of the most genuine smiles finns ever seen from him. of course, he returned it in full. fern’s emotions just seem to be pretty contagious that way.

finn figured he’d need to try this again, if fern ever seemed a little more gloomy than he finds acceptable. and honestly, fern wasn’t sure he’d mind that so much.

“This programme is more of a distraction than an improvement” that’s teaaa actually. Thats so often what councils etc do, distract with new flashy things rather than fix the real problems. Even though in this case it’s well meaning it does make u think how big a priority should the library actually be? But actually children reading is super important and what did they say last season? I have thoughts on Barbara’s intentions and my instinct is gregory needs to keep her name out his mouth. I do think it’s really important that Janine stood up to Barbara, just maybe gregory made barbara seem worse than she was

“It’s been a rough week I could use the pick me up” i just love mr johnson

My immediate reaction was this one of my favourite episodes of the season - lots of excellent Barb moments, the kids, more mr johnson, story arcs I enjoyed and felt completed.

Janine standing up to Barbara was a really big deal for her considering her hatred of conflict and worship of barbara as a mother figure. It made me really proud to see how far janine has come.

But the longer since watching the less I like it. And it’s two main things:

- the jacob melissa room mate situation feels like jumping the shark for plots sake and not something realistic for those characters. So as much as I enjoy them and their dynamic and their growth it just feels fake.

- I dont care about the librarian. The set up feels like she could stick around and I just don’t care for new characters, I like my main people. (But then the same apprehension was had w the district people and they’ve not seemed to be around much).

I do still really like this ep and it definitely ranks highly in the season, just idk, some eps I enjoy more over time but this has made me feel more confused as to what will happen next I guess.

hxh chapter 392

This chapter is a little crazy I have SOME WORDS ON IT!!!

Obviously spoilers !

Alright so it starts out normal and continuing from the last chapter, a little confusing cause the guy is still alive.

People thought that the Misha person was the cat apparently, but no, Hinrigh sadly did not name the little guy... but... we did get THIS

HI MISHA?!?!?!?

This ability is pretty sick and cool and awesome if i do say so myself, and I love the name. It also carries on from her original life because she was a cleaner, and her dedication for the Xi-Yu family must have been pretty strong if she developed this.

I cant wait to see more uses of this ability later on.

Speaking of Xi-Yu, I was NOT AT ALL PREPARED FOR THE NEXT PART.

We get back to Lynch and Zakuro who are punching these poor people above 6′2 and then once they start to doubt their tactics... GUESS WHO SHOWS UP.

I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS AT ALL!? The fact that he has the audacity to dress in a similar fashion to how he did before says a lot. He is definitely waiting for the Phantom Troupe to come and find him, and is most likely not interested in any of the families associates at the moment.

My heart dropped when I saw this scene and I could feel Zakuros fear. He’s obviously grown considerably stronger if his very presence is intimidating.

I really love the depth into post mortem nen in this arc. It’s been a pretty reoccurring thing over all. Iirc the first callback is the fact that the seed urn ceremony was a product of an ancestors post mortem nen, then we have the highlight on the meteor city elders post mortem nen (sun and moon), then obviously here we have hisoka, then we have camilla and the curses AND also kachos nen beast, and NOW we have Misha!! whew. There’s probably more that I haven’t listed... I feel like post mortem nen will be even more important later. (especially with Kurapika really pushing his lifespan)

Im begging for him not to kill them PLEASSEEEEE DONT KILL ZAKURO AND LYCNH. PLEASE.

Also I’m just thinking though. Hisoka is building up to be an unbelievably strong character. At this point after death, I think he has become stronger than all of the troupe members, so that’s trouble when they are the ones wanting to kill Hisoka a lot, and when he is going to kill them on sight. I think thats why he made his desicion, to really test his strength with his post mortem nen... if he thinks hes that strong, he very well may be.

And I’m just thinking. Who else is unreasonably and inhumanely strong that really no other character (probably other than the chimera ants lol) could compare to?

Tserriednich, of course. We have to tie the threads somehow, don’t we?

I believe that if Hisoka even lays his eyes on that man he will have a new target. His whole power scaling thing will be out of the roof.

You could also say Ging, but first of all, he’s completely occupied with another endeavor, so I doubt he would be very interested in fighting anybody, and second of all, if he is going to fight somebody, he most likely wouldn’t be interested in fighting somebody like Hisoka. Unlike Chrollo, he would not let him have his way and let him fight him. He’s already getting under Pariston’s skin by doing a similar thing by getting in his way.

Tserriednich is much different... he’s... interesting for sure, and would probably find Hisoka very intriguing (specimen worthy).

Anyways, Moving on we have even more people looking for Hisoka. I wonder what they’ll do once they realize that Xi-Yu was the first to find him, whether they still have him by the next time we see them. (please let lynch and zakuro live please let lycnh and zakuro live plea-) I wasn’t very interested in that though.

We’re back to Phinks, Feitan, and Nobunaga! It looks like theyve established a back and forth bond of some sort with Cha-R, so the last thing they want to do is kill them, and a search party went out.

Also fun fact I guess, Franklin is probably claustrophobic. I love how we just get these random facts like we didn’t need to know that Shizuku is left handed and that she forgets everything but we do.

They know of Luini and I really dont think they like him lol.

Luini is a super fan and I think Togashi was trying to do commentary on toxic fans/parasocial relationships with him which is interesting but im sorry this is just so funny.

Does this mean what I think it means, that the hunterpedia wiki exists IN CANON?

Most likely not the actual wiki but like still. This implies that there’s like forums talking about characters that we know about, and there’s probably some community of people who fans over and romanticizes the troupe in that world like we have here now for serial killers... oh boy. That means that those Chrollo stans are real. Thanks Luini. I really didnt want to think about that but thanks Luini.

I’m gonna try to get that imagination out of my head. Anyways, I loved this chapter, it was awesome as always and so are you.

yur wish is my command v-v

Vincent is the adopted child of a pretty powerful local crime lord named Elroy Slaughter, who took her in in the midst of the European refugee crisis. Growing up, Vince was surrounded by a lot of underground criminal cutthroats, the politics of which were extremely stress inducing- at 13 she was clinically depressed and suffering from early symptoms of OCD. Elroy eventually drifted away as a parental figure and Vincent was more or less left alone to herself with only her tutors to really talk to. At some point Jack was hired as her bodyguard and the two became friends! And one day Vince convinced him to run away together; which they did, but unfortunately for Vince, Jack is legally Antumbra property and the organization tracked him down and took him away. So she was homeless, and left alone again.

She found herself working as an illegal debt collector for some unsavory persons when she met Francis! Frank was fresh out of the hospital suffering from severe memory loss and trying to earn money just to eat, so the chimera spent a lot of time out on the street taking whatever jobs she could as a ten year old lol- and while Vince was concerned at first about Francis’s situation, she kept Frank around after Frank prevented her from killing herself so…it became a “i still have to be alive for SOME reason…and that reason is to take care of this child!! Haha!!!” and well.

Yeah that didn’t pan out…after y’know, everything, Carmine more or less found her and was like “WOW LOL. YOU’RE A FUCKING MESS, wanna work for me?” because well, Vince may be a fuckup but she’s good at what she does and was at absolute rock bottom after Francis sent her to the hospital. Car got her off heroin and instead supplied her with free xanax and oxy as a leash of sorts, so now Vince works for Carmine!!. There’s more to it than that, but thats Carmine’s business, not Vince’s lol

During her stint with Francis, she met Jack again. And while they managed to rekindle their friendship, both had changed; Vincent falling further and further into her addiction while Jack refocused on his duties for Antumbra. Jack actually babysat Francis a couple times!! But Vince and Jack’s relationship didn’t really last either, when they both ended up on opposite sides of a job and Jack chose his job over her so…whew

But yeah thats her history!!

Vincent is just…a mess. The queen of ruining her own life. She only feels like she has some control over her life when she does drugs and self-harms unfortunately, and juggles…a lot, emotionally. She’s a good person, deep down!!...maybe!!! She still cares about Francis but honestly doesn’t have the mental patience to deal with Frank as she is now so they fight a lot, made worse by the fact that they’re now coworkers. Francis is very "you should kill yourself...NOW!!!" at Vince and Vince makes fun of Frank and tries to get under her skin wnv she can

Other stuff…hmm….

Powers!! Vince has ice generation powers that she doesn’t have the greatest control over, as well as some accelerated healing due to her nature as a mutant.

Despite her weird on/off relationship with Jack, the two still hang out and the romantic/sexual tension is lowkey crazy. They sometimes go on ‘dates’ to the local aquarium and natural history museums (Vince likes to point at dino skeletons like “omg JJ those’re yur grandparents lol”). They were the only ones each other had for a while, growing up together as mutant transgender kids in a very volatile situation (aftermath of the Urban Civil War and refugee crisis) so even though they often fight and argue and kinda-not-really try to kill each other, they DO still like. YEARN FOR HOW IT USED TO BE BETWEEN THEM…

and shes a person in the NEC who knows somebody who knows somebody ya know what im sayin??? if anyone needs anything, Vincent is usually the one to talk to despite being seen as a bit of an annoyance and a HazardTM ("sir that lady has cost us 2$ million in damages alone plz stop hiring her-"). but she gets the job done!!!

new sumakha maps just dropped!!! (and already added to the intro post)

random ramblings + previous maps under the cut

whew! third version of the sumakha map! if you saw the previous one in the intro post, you may think it looks pretty much the same, and youd be like, half-right. i used the previous map as a base still, but edited the proportions quite a lot (the old version was much more horizontal because i traced over the supercontinent rodinia for it and thats what rodinia was like)

what i think i really improved on is biomes! i finally took an ecology class (so far my favorite class ive taken in college) and i finally know the proper names of the common biomes AND where they should be (i actually got inspired to finally remake the map because i hated how i put the desert right on the equator on that one). also learned about RAIN SHADOWS!!!!! rain shadows my beloved ohhhh they saved my ass irt making the biomes make sense and also making the map look cool. i know a lot less about rivers and where they flow though, so the rivers i put on are tentative, but i think they look mostly fine. i think it'll be a while before i tweak the map again

just for fun, here's the old maps i had before (just the biome versions b/c the countries are still in the same relative place):

this map is from... exactly two years ago actually. i didn't really know what i wanted or how to make a landmass that looked natural, i just knew that it was gonna be a supercontinent with one island branching off. also didnt realize that arid grasslands and savannahs are The Exact Same Thing LOL

this one is from 7 months after the previous map, so august 2021. im REALLY glad i decided to look into earth's previous supercontinents because learning how to draw unique landmasses would have been... kind of a hassle since rodinia ended up looking so similar to what i wanted. it's kinda funny, i didn't know what rain shadows were yet but i still put them in accidentally. only things really wrong with this one is the desert right on the equator and me still not realizing that arid grasslands and savannahs are the same thing

okay that's all the old maps but holy shit here's a BONUS map!!! i thought it'd be fun to map out where the ocs i draw the most are from.

shikann and goddska are guys i have yet to post (they're part of eki's story), and kenzhe is a guy i have posted before in a doodle dump but haven't expanded on. i would've put tehmikh on here but tbh i haven't figured out exactly where he's from, just that he tours around annoshik

okay that's it! i think! i hope you guys enjoy the political map as well, i know it's a bit busy but i didn't expect to write all over it. in the next few days i'm finally gonna add a 'history' section to the intro post that'll give more context :-3 anyway enjoy

apollo’s mother was once a trophy wife with visions of grandeur, visions that pushed her to name each of her children after the gods she eventually believed they would become, if only she could find the right way

while his sisters thrived under her delusions, extending a little folie a deux, he always said that he would earn his own greatness, if that was what was in store for him, and so he instantly became public enemy number one - the one that sought logic instead of rituals stephanie knew nothing about.

after a particularly ugly disagreement, apollo left home as soon as he could, and returned back only on the few times his sisters requested it of him. he thought his ‘out’ came with college, but instead, he landed right back here after he finished his degree program.

there is and has always been this sort of feeling that he cant go yet, because someone, or something, needs him and he might be leaving behind whatever that is

the spoon ring he always wears was made from his grandmothers wedding silver, and gifted especially to him when she passed. naturally, everyone lost their shit when he made it into a ring, but thats neither here nor there

with little oversight at the library, he spends a lot of time with the older, first editions, often restoring the books on his own dime, and caring for them like they were living and breathing, which is convenient, books didn’t abandon you, and they sure as hell don’t talk shit, either

the majority of his money does not come from his public job, but instead from a fighting ring he often participates in, mostly for the rush, and because it pays the bills a hell of a lot better than public service does

he plays with the thumb ring, and any other jewelry he might wear when he is bored, or out of nervous habit

since he has to travel anyway, he often brings back shit from the “outside world” like a little goblin, but will also do it for gifts, or for a price, depending on who you are

killer singing voice, my guy missed his calling and every now and again he’ll get drunk enough to make a breathtaking appearance at whatever bar is doing karaoke

whew this got LONG

🍁 Where does your OC go when they need to have some time to themself? Would they ever have their own “comfort corner” filled with all the things they like? Do they have a favourite spot outside that feels like its theirs and theirs alone?

valerian: the thing about valerian is that he doesnt have a home besides the first forest. the story begins with him FINALLY leaving the forest behind so it takes a looooooong time for him to have any sort of place that is his own. when he wants some time for himself he tries to go to any place with trees, since they remind him of the first forest and while he has very complicated feelings about the place, its the home he has known the longest.

the guardian: i guess with guardians its kinda impossible to have a completely alone time since their ghosts are always there ;-;

for those who dont know destiny 2, ghosts are little machines (?) who resurrect your guardian/player character all the time in game & the reason you have any powers at all. guardian and ghosts share a bond (usually) and are rarely seen separated.

the guardian's ghost is the one speaking in the first of the screenshots i linked above.

anyway, i see my guardian going to the edz when hes tired of the tower's bullshit just to enjoy the view and relax. i dont see him having a room at the tower - his "comfort corner" would probably be in his ship, where he stuffs all knickknacks he gets in his missions.

💫What is your favourite fact about this character and why?

valerian: hes a little shit. he is a good person... deep down, under the vanity, arrogance and pettiness. so, you know, he's not evil... but he is annoying, clingy and selfish at times. he has no filter AT ALL and no impulse control to speak of, so writing him is like letting loose a cannon ball and watching it blast through a china shop. its just fun lol

the guardian: he shares a bit with valerian here... just a little bit bc valerian is downright unhinged lol the guardian i see more as someone who is very responsible, always there to help etc but he just has no patience for the bullshit associated with actually being, you know, the Guardian(tm). so hes very cranky and definitely not here to socialize. i like this contrast between actually being a hero vs not being a people person.

🌾 Describe your OC through the eyes of someone absolutely head-over-heels in love with them

i wont be using romantic love here!

also im taking this describe in a not literal sense

valerian: boy this is hard bc *points to the question above* valerian is NOT an easy person to love. but vespertine ADORES him (tho vespertine doesnt show up for most of the first book... books?). vespertine sees all of valerian's... quirks as an expression of his free spirit, so to speak, and his authenticness (?). valerian might be an asshole, but hes an honest asshole and an open book. you always know what he is feeling and what he wants because he will tell you right away (be speaking or through actions). and as awful as he can be, he can be caring and he is the most loyal person ever.

so vespertine isnt annoyed by valerian's pettiness and selfishness bc... well, valerian is their blind spot. as far as vespertine is concerned, valerian is actually right in literally everything. was he mean? well, you deserved it. was he arrogant? well, he has reason to be, so thats fine. is valerian throwing a tantrum? well, have you tried doing what he wants? it usually works.

yeah, vespertine is an enabler. it's a nice contrast to ira, who also loves valerian dearly (...eventually) but doesn't take any of his shit. for ira, it's valerian's honesty and vulnerability that draws the eye. ira sees that below the layers of nonsense, valerian is a simple person with simple needs and wants, and ira can relate to a LOT of these needs and wants. so they end up being kindred spirits. sort of. if you ignore valerian's assholeness.

if you guys let me i can ramble about valerian forever lol

the guardian: using ghost for this bc, well. ghost is the main reason i ended up making an oc for destiny 2.

like i said above, the guardian is not a people person. he can be quite rebellious and not fond of authority, but i think that ghost would love him for the opposite of all that. he would see that despite being very much not the right personality type for being the Hero(tm), the guardian never forsakes his duty. he's gritting his teeth through a lot of it but he's doing it. he's dependable, a good listener and funny when he does decide to talk, though it is annoying that he rarely does.
