Okay so.... Hear me out.

Doctor Ian Wright is Torchwoods systems operator.

They are sent to Cardiff twice a year for a week each time to make sure the Hubs systems are running on the latest and best code it can be.

The Hubs operating system is nicknamed "Stardust" as a nod to being related to Ziggy from the Quantum Leap project that at the time, they where rebuilding from the ground up, single handed.

"I've installed the latest system updates that I remotely coded from the network back in LA, all I had to do was Patch it through to The Hubs systems now and you're good to go! It literally took half the time it usually does. And I don't have grease under my nails."

"Good job, Ian, I know we can always rely on you to keep this place up to scratch...

... But seeing as you're finished early... How about you... Join me and Ianto this evening? We where thinking about going for pasta at that new Italian place on the corner.. "

"Join you both? On like... A date? As a third wheel? As tempting as that offer is, Captain, I might have to decline."

"Not a third wheel, Doctor Ian Wright, a third person."

"Oh. I... Ummm... Umhm... Well. I'm... Gonna need an hour to... Get changed."

"An hour? We'll be there. Better get going, doc."

The fact that Clothar has repeatedly mentioned how taboo it is that he had an illegitimate child with a non-Khaenri'ahn.

How his family had plans for him that misaligned with how he wanted to live his life with the one he truly loved.

In addition, he is still clearly and vehemently against the archons and worshipping them.

And then we remember Kaeya.

Kaeya, who has implied that he is not a full-blooded Khaenri'ahn.

Kaeya, who may possibly be a child the main Alberich line would have hated or ostracized had the cataclysm not have happened.

Kaeya who is now dubbed by their father as their "Last Hope".

Kaeya, who was left in the city of freedom. The same man who frequently drinks with the very archon his countrymen would have wanted to see dead.

Do you see how it seems like the tables have turned? How the world turned upside-down with just 1 cataclysmic event?

Kaeya is always contradictory to the common definition of the words he is described as on the surface. He is a cryo user who loves the summer season. He is a knight who schemes and plots in the dark. He is a Khaenri'ahn who wants the freedom of Mondstadt.

i rly wanna write an au (have sort of already started) where gojo works as a babysitter (idk for why yet, maybe another au where he just really needs the money or something haha) and he starts babysitting yuuji (who is just five years old) and the kid’s an absolute MENACE so gojo is ab to rip his hair off tryna keep an eye on him. and then you’re yuuji’s hot older sister who’s in grad school and is incredibly off limits bc gojo’s so screwed if your mom finds out he has the hots for you n she would kill him (then fire him) if he made a move on you. also did i mention he really needs the money 😔

i’m just picturing gojo not knowing how to cook anything for yuuji other than microwaved dino nuggets and he has to write yuuji’s allergies on the back of his hand w marker so he doesn’t forget he’s only allowed to give the kid almond butter and not peanut butter or else he WILL GO INTO ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK. also he’s always staring at the pics of you that your mom hung up on the fridge (your 4-year uni grad photos) n he knows he’s not supposed to contact you unless it’s an emergency bc you’re a busy woman but he texts you all the time anyways (stupid shit all day like “hey where does yuuji keep his light up sneakers he really wants to wear them to school today” n you’re at your wits end like “…second cabinet from the left”)

for christmas you come down to visit and he’s biting his fist to make sure he doesn’t flirt with you in front of your mom n all your relatives at the table during the family holiday dinner (kiddo yuuji begged for gojo to be invited too) n then things get hot n heavy when gojo goes upstairs to grab something for your mom n he accidentally runs into you changing in your old bedroom n idK I ONLY HAD ONE SENTENCE PLANNED BUT I KEPT TYPING THIS OUT PLS

What do you think about gojo ships

I feel like I'm pretty indifferent to most of them. This is super cringe of me, but whenever I fall super in love with a character I don't often like shipping them romantically with anyone. 💀 (im delusional I know)

It doesn't help that for some reason the jjk fandom (especially twt) is weirdly aggressive about ships. I know it isn't all the shippers and it's mostly just the loud minority, but seeing so much of the discourse has kinda put me off and I don't really engage much with the ships in the fandom except for rarepairs and selfships bc alot of the time those communities are more wholesome and cozy (if that makes sense LOL)

The idea of Astarion not remembering what he looks like well enough to recognize a statue or a drawing of himself is so interesting to me because of how it interacts with his whole seduction act. He doesn't know what he looks like but he has to carry himself like he's beautiful. And they all must tell him he's beautiful, surely, all those people he leads back to Cazador. Tav has the option to say, when Astarion's having his breakdown about the blood merchant, that complaining that he's too pretty is a bit stupid. But that's not what he says. He says there's nothing so desirable as a vampire. In his mind he is made beautiful by virtue of fulfilling this fantasy the people he seduces want. I'm reminded of something from The Queen's Gambit, when Chloe says that models are not truly beautiful and that the quality of a good model is to be a blank slate. "The camera fills them with color and texture and once in a while even mystery. But just like there is no mystery to a vacant lot, it's just there until you put something on top of it".

So like a normal person I got kind of curious and looked at the names of the petrified drow so I could try looking for possible name meanings, but I'm no drow expert. I could only look at the Drow Names site and hope for any similarities. These are my best guesses:

Dhourn (Dhaun: infested, plague. Houn: magic, trail, way)

Izwae (izz: hidden, mask, masked. Wae: heir, inheritor, princess)

Moy (May: beautiful, beauty, silver. Mol: blue, storm, thunder, wind. oj: aura, cloak, hide, skin)

Arcagh (word arc: curve, bow. Akor/Alak: beloved, best, first. agh: breaker, destruction, end, omega)

Tecothy (like Timothy? Teb: blade, sharp, sword)

Artimezt (Inspired by Artemis maybe? zt: finder, hunter)

Important to note that some of the similar words/names I found and used here are the feminine versions, and I remember seeing a detailed post somewhere in which someone took Kar'niss' name and tried to translate it, in which they also mentioned what it means if a male drow uses a feminine name version, but I forgot...

ok ive had enough of queering judaism. can we start judaizing queerness now. or something

#like. it feels like so much of this queering judaism shtus just layers an american/secular queer identity over judaism #which i guess is fine for certain communities. but it's only going to push you away from orthodoxy #and if as queer jews we already feel like our queerness makes us into secularized outsiders in our own communities #how does this help? is trying to get our communities to embrace an essentially secular american iteration of queer identity supposed to mak #us feel LESS like outsiders? it's not quite doing it for me #we need a queerness that comes from within judaism that is essentially jewish #ive seen a couple of articles recently from ppl talking abt how word/concept of butch doesnt exist in their language & culture #but they use it anyway #& like. i love being butch. it's important to me ill never give it up #& i am american too. but my whole identity as a butch he/him lesbian is exclusively secular american it came from the outsifr #which is definitely due in large part to the fact that my Gender Problems were really tied up w orthodox jewish gender roles #so naturally to get out of that i'd pull on something not jewish. but i wish there was another option? idk if that's possible #or how it would look #maybe that's why im obsessed w the idea of a butch w long curly payos.... 😦#i forgot where i was going w this but yeah it's frustrating #this is a large part of why im wary of starting a queer Jewish club on campus bc the people who would wanna start it w mr #well no offense but they are insufferable about this #(incidentally they're also insufferable about chanukah. no surprises there)#nachi speaks #jew blogging #others have Actually written abt all this tho
