Class A field trip - Shouto edition
Shouto's Class A field trip was an adorable combo of him eating soba everywhere or being cute and oblivious. Here are all his scenes collected in one place:
Day 1:
Shoto and Koda are in Iwate, where Shoto is doing the wanko soba challenge (it's an all you can eat soba tradition).
Tumblr media
🍰: You can eat as many bowls as you want
🔥: Shotoooooooooo!!!!
🔺: Todoroki!! Your father wants to eat together with you too!!
🍰: The check please.
Day 2
Origin Trio in Roppongi Hills (Tokyo)
Tumblr media
🥦: If I opened a hero agency one day, I wonder if it would be in Roppongi like All Might? What about you, Kacchan?
💥: Whatever. Not decided.
🍰: Are you two starting an agency together?
🥦💥: ?!!!!
Day 3
Mina, Asui, Todoroki and Kouda visiting the Sado island - Rabbit Kannon
Tumblr media
👽: Justice!!! So cute!
🍰: Is “justice” cute? Well then. This Kannon is auspicious for the heroes.
🐸"Cute" is also very deep.
Todoroki and Tokoyami at the Kurobe Dam (the biggest dam in Japan)
Tumblr media
🐦‍⬛: A Torrent of Power, Liberation from Commandments. Those who were once sealed together, have released their powers. Can you feel it, Todoroki!
🍰: Not especially.
The sweet tooth brigade (Sato, Momo, Ochako, Shoto) trying out Aichi's Ogura toast:
Tumblr media
🍬: I've been waiting... This is...
🍑: Yes, it's delicious
🍰: Half-sweet, half-salty...
Day 4
Dekusquad in Awaji island (famous for onions)
Tumblr media
🥦: Heroes don't cry, even when cutting an onion…
🥦: 😭😭😭😭 🍵: Sorry! Challenge failed. 🍰: No, even heroes cry when they have to.
(Reference to Shoto's line from Ch137)
Ojirou, Hagakure and Shoto at Adventure World, Wakayama
Tumblr media
🐿️: Two-tone and popular character... We have someone like that.
🤲We do, don’t we. Just by being there, he brightens the place…!” 🍰: Huh? There’s somebody like that? 🤲🐿️: “IT’S YOU!!!”
(This panda one led to a ton of Shoto + panda fan art on Twitter)
Day 5:
Shoto is eating Yamaguchi green tea soba served on hot stones (so Ochako and Kirishima reference too)
Tumblr media
🍰: Please take your time here. This is from my father. 🦈: awww thanks... 🍵: Todoroki-kun, you should say thank you. 🍰: Thank you very much. 🍵: I meant thank your dad!
Shoto, Tokoyami, Kirishima and Shoji at Shimonada Station, overlooking the Seto Inland Sea at sunset
Tumblr media
🍰: What’s this kind of thing? Are we BFFs now? 🦈: That's right, Todoroki! (bashful)
I saw JPN fandom commenting that Shoto uses the outdated and somewhat girly term (ズッ友) zuttomo - loosely translated as eternal friends/ bffs. Kirishima may be being flustered as a reference to the SF where Shoto told him that he's not here to make friends.
Day 6:
Shoto's third soba-slurping is in Okinawa (with Endeavor and Kirishima)
Tumblr media
🔥: Shoto, how is the soba here? 🍰: Okinawa soba is delicious. 🔥: RIGHT!? SHOUTOOOOOOO!! (happy) 🍰: Quiet. Let me eat.
🦈: 😲
(Okinawa soba is more like ramen than real soba and the noodles are wheat instead of buckwheat.)
I really enjoyed the scenes they chose for Shouto. Endeavor trying to join the field trip was funny. Shouto just eating soba all over Japan is definitely something I can see happen. And it is nice to see how he's friends with everyone and the whole class kind of adores his airheaded comments, misuse of slang and just blunt cuteness.
10/10 for the promo team.

Do you have a travel blog/page on instagram documenting your travels in Japan, where we can see your experience, specially that you go to lots of concerts, and it might be helpful to plan a full travel around that? What do you do other than seeing the concerts, and do you have a list of cool trusted places?
I have a personal Instagram account on which I share local and travel highlights irregularly, but I don't even specify where most of those things were, so good luck using that to guide your trip...
That being said, if you want any tips for some locations, I can help with anything other than restaurants, so feel free to ask!
So far, I visited the following Japanese areas:
Kumamoto, Nagasaki, Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Itsukushima, Kouchi, Kyoto, Osaka, Nara, Nagoya, Shizuoka, Tokyo/Kawasaki/Yokohama, Yokosuka, Kanazawa, Nagano, Sendai and Sapporo.
Had/have plans for Tottori, Wakayama, Utsunomiya, Hita and more. I guess that the main area that I never visited where Dir en grey tours is Niigata.

yamagata (part one)
So last October, my father and I rented a car and drove around Yamagata, Japan. We were there mostly because I'm a terrible little nerd and I really wanted to see the Dewa Sanzan, but we also stayed the night in an onsen town in the middle of a volcanic caldera.
The trip didn't go entirely to plan... I meant to have three days so we could more thoroughly explore the sacred mountains, but it ended up storming terribly for a couple days, so hiking... Not ideal...
I have mobility issues (and Dad was recovering from an injury) so I have to be pretty careful while doing stairs in the first place, so... doing it during a storm... It just wasn't going to happen. Still, though! We got to see a lot of cool things and we had a nice time.
Explanations and photos under the cut!
To begin with, the Dewa Sanzan are a set of three extremely sacred mountains in Yamagata Prefecture. The three mountains are Hagurosan, Gassan, and Yudonosan. That's also the order in which they're meant to be hiked, and each mountain increases in sacrality.
Which religion are they sacred to? Well... that's kind of a complicated question. When Buddhism came to Japan in the 6th century, it entered into a sort of (sometimes awkward) alliance with Shinto, the indigenous religion of Japan. (...more or less...)
You hear the term shinbutsu shūgō a lot around the mountains of Yamagata. Basically speaking, this refers to the syncretic religion created by combining elements of Shinto and Buddhism. There's another concept, honji suijaku, which explains how this was accomplished. The idea is that Buddhist deities were manifesting themselves on earth as Japanese kami, or the indigenous spirits that made up Shinto. In other words, the idea was that when Japanese people were seeing kami, they were actually seeing Buddhist deities who were disguising themselves in order to better spread the precepts of Buddhism.
These syncretic kami-buddha(/bodhisattva) pairs were called gongen. This part's important for where I'm going next.
This syncretic religion wasn't really cohesive or regulated throughout Japan. There wasn't one set list of sacred texts or one set person in charge to make rules, y'know? It spread around Japan largely organically, so there was a lot of variation in belief systems, rituals, etc. Some people would identify more with the Shinto side of things, some more with the Buddhist side.
What I was interested in, and why I went all the way out there, was a mountain ascetic religion called shugendō. Shugendō was a religion primarily practiced in the remote mountains of Japan, and it centered largely around the worship of gongen as well as submersing oneself in nature to meditate. It wasn't exactly easy to learn about where I went to school in Kyoto, so I jumped at the chance to rent a car and go see some mountains that were very sacred to shugendō practitioners, or yamabushi.
(I had originally also had us going to see the Kumano shrines in Wakayama, but after Dad got hurt, I cut a lot of walking out of the trip. So we chose Yamagata because you could drive right up to a lot of the shrines.)
Now, during the Meiji period, Shinto and Buddhism were forcibly separated by the government. (I won't get into the whys right now.) When that happened, a lot of syncretic sites were forced to either choose to be one or the other or be physically destroyed by the government. On Dewa Sanzan, most of the shugendō sites decided to convert to Shinto. It makes it kind of odd, when you're walking around a Shinto shrine that still clearly, clearly has a lot of Buddhist influence...
One of my big interests, when it comes to religious studies, is syncretic religions, so I've been wanting to learn more about all this for ages. But, due to the purposeful destruction of religious orders/sites as well as the remote locations... well, it's been hard. I was PUMPED to get out there.
lmao now that I've given you all a mini history lecture...
Yamagata!
Now, the first day, Dad and I rented a car in Yamagata City and drove out to Hijiori Onsen. It was really out in the middle of nowhere and honestly? Big Spirited Away vibes. I'm over here explaining the concept of kamikakushi to Dad and he is like. Not loving it.
Add to that the fact that it was raining and dreary and kind of awful, and the whole situation was just spooky.
Hijiori Onsen is also known for something in particular -- a thing that I forgot to tell dad about. They're known for making kokeshi dolls, which I guess explained.... uh. what we encountered on the drive up.
Oh? What's that in the distance?
Tumblr media
A giant, deeply creepy kokeshi?
Tumblr media
The terrible weather and empty countryside really did not make these things more reassuring.
Tumblr media
I will be honest with you, the whole area kind of had Fatal Frame vibes lmao.
BUT when we finally made it to Hijiori Onsen, it was really lovely.
Tumblr media
This was our ryokan, aka the only one that had an elevator and would allow my father's tattoos lmao.
Tumblr media
And oh look, more kokeshi. lmao
Tumblr media
It was kind of fun to see the traditional fall decorations (the persimmons) next to more modern Halloween ones.
Tumblr media
It was really lovely inside, though, and this was the view from our room.
Tumblr media
They also had a lot of local snacks, which was fun to try. (Pictured: apple cookies, green tea, and... I want to say candied burdock root?)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The food was a recurring theme, tbh. They fed us so much that my Dad was like no ;; please ;; we'll die ;;
More kokeshi, this time in the form of a chopsticks rest.
(Yes, I did buy myself one of their kokeshi at a shop in town before we left, lmao.)
Tumblr media
The dining room was pretty, with traditional braziers, soy sauce jars, etc.
Tumblr media
Seriously, though, dinner lasted for like two hours and they must have brought dozens of little dishes.
They cooked the local beef and vegetables inside giant leaves, which was fun and tasted really nice. Kiritanpo rice balls... Sesame-crusted fish...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even things I wasn't expecting to like as much, like the horse sashimi (🥲) and the fried fish bones were pretty good. (Honestly, horse is a little flavorless for me, but the fish bones were surprisingly good.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I won't show photos of everything (we'd be here all day) but one more highlight of dinner was the imoni, which is a sort of beef and taro hotpot they make in Yamagata in the fall. It was so good. ;; Tasted like sweet gyuudon with potatoes.
Tumblr media
Also, I don't believe I got a photo of it, but when they were like "we have pumpkin :) :) for dessert :) :) happy halloween, americans!!!" I was like "omg, kabocha is my favorite, especially pudding!" and he was so excited, he was like YES, WE HAVE KABOCHA PUDDING! It was really cute.
(They seemed equally shocked and thrilled by my not-great Japanese. lmao. I think they'd had very low expectations of the weird Americans who'd come all the way out to Yamagata for reasons unknown to them.)
And after dinner, they brought a selection of local sake to my room to let me try, including some nigori sake, which is my favorite. It was so nice, even if we almost died from the sheer amount of food. They just kept BRINGING it lmao.
Tumblr media
The baths there were also really nice, though obviously I couldn't take photos of those.
And this was the view from my window the next morning, once it was light out:
Tumblr media
And breakfast, which was again far, far too much food. lmao
Tumblr media
Then we drove around town a little. I forgot to take my phone with me when I got out of the car, like a dummy, so I didn't get great pictures of the tiny shopping district. I got myself a kokeshi, though, and got my father and I a box of karinto manju to split. (YES, I GOT THEM BECAUSE MY FROG GOT THEM FOR ME IN TABIKAERU, SO SUE ME. THEY WERE DELICIOUS.)
We then got extremely lost, but eventually stopped at the public baths. It was seriously pouring and it was cold and miserable so Dad just waited in the car while I took some short baths. Again, I can't show you photos of actual baths I took, but here are a few from online:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(Caldera Onsenkan)
This one was fun because it was naturally carbonated! They had hot and cold onsen you could bathe in. You couldn't really feel the carbonation in the hot onsen, but you sure could in the cold one. I put my feet in and was like "I am bathing in very, very cold soda" lmao.
Tumblr media
(The cold bath for your hands and feet.)
And you could drink it, too! It was supposedly good for you! I only remembered weeks later that shugendō monks were able to self-mummify (more on that later) in Yamagata because their natural spring water was so high in arsenic!
So uh hopefully that one doesn't come back to haunt me. lmao
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Watch out for the stinkbug.
Tumblr media
There was another one in town that I was interested in, too... They say that Hijiori Onsen got its start as a medicinal hot spring town after a monk fell off a cliff and broke his elbow and then rolled into the hot spring and was instantly healed, and this was attributed to Jizo-sama.
So there's an onsen where Jizo will watch over you as you bathe.
Tumblr media
Which is fun, though I liked the similar experience in Kusatsu Onsen a little more. Gotta love a sacred bath, tho.
So then we left to go to the Dewa Sanzan. In the end, we ended up taking our time and stopping a lot at various shrines and stuff because I realized the weather was just too shitty to get a start on the mountains that day. Dad wouldn't even get out of the car except for lunch lmao. By the end of the day, it was hailing, so I can't really blame him.
The next leg of our trip will be in another post because I'm almost out of images in this one, but here's a couple more photos of Hijiori Onsen.
Tumblr media
And two more for this round, we did get lost trying to get out of the caldera (...lmao) and broooo when I tell you my dumb ass was like "dad we are for SURE gonna get kamikakushi'd out here"
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tell me this doesn't feel like the beginning of a Miyazaki movie lmao.
(we lived, bitch!!! must've been all those sacred baths.)

The train to Kushimoto: a JR West 283-series Kuroshio express. The sets are getting on a bit, they were introduced in 1996 and the livery could do with a refresh, but the "dolphin nose" is distinctive, and I, for one, really like it. They're also quite rare, only 4 sets exist.
The Kisei Main Line is essentially the coastal route from Nagoya to Wakayama. The full trip around the Kii peninsula takes 8 hours by express train, with a change required at Shingû or Katsuura, but it's definitely scenic as it gets very close to the sea (photo between Kii-Tahara and Koza).

I was in Japan last week! We went to Universal Studios Japan in Osaka for a day. Then in Kyoto, we went to Arashiyama, Kiyomizu-dera, Teramachi & Shinkyogoku, and Fushimi Inari Taisha. Last we went to Shirahama, Kimiidera, Doujou-ji, and Wakayama Castle in Wakayama! We were so busy.
I just finished reading a short book while on the trip: The Sound of Waves by Yukio Mishima. It was the most wonderful little love story about two young teens who fall in love but the girl's father objects to their relationship due to an awful rumor. With the counsel and support of their role models, the two of them hold out for the day they can be together again.
I took these pics of early-blooming sakura at Doujou-ji. It was raining all day, but Japan is super lovely in the rain. These are probably the best pictures I've ever taken of sakura.

What would be your dream vacation?
I'd love to go on a trip around japan... visit Hokkaido to see the snow, visit Tokyo for Akihabara and Kabuki-Cho, down to Osaka to visit Dotenbori, Wakayama to see Tama-chan's shrine at Kishi Station.
That or visit the US. There's a couple states I'm interested in. Oregon, Portland, might as well visit Cali while I'm on that side. Visit Venice Beach, visit famous GTA V locations. I wanna see my ingame apartment IRL. It actually exists. I'd wanna go to Wisconsin, I need a cheese hat among other lovely things in the cheese state, also go to NYC. Skip the Empire State Building. I need to see two things; a bodega cat and a pizza rat. Visit iconic locations from Stuart Little 1+2.
Also wanna see hamsters and squirrels while I'm there. And try the infamouse cheese spray stuff I've heard so much about.

[Parents – Aurélie Dubois & Kaito Nakaya]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shika’s mother Aurélie was born in 1986 in Paris, France to french parents. She grew up in Paris until she was 10 years old, where the family moved to Kyoto, Japan. Aurélie’s family consists of her parents, two older sister and a younger brother. From a young age on, the family expected a lot from her. She and her siblings had to be overachievers to meet their parents’ standards.
Kaito Nakaya, Shika’s father, was born in 1986 in Wakayama in the Kansai region of Japan. He has an older brother, an older sister and two younger sisters. He lived in Wakayama until he was 13 years old and moved to Kyoto in 1999. His parents were also quite strict and wanted their children to achieve a lot in life.
In 2001 Aurélie and Kaito met accidentally. They had the same friends and therefore hung out quite often. Eventually the two started dating in 2003. Aurélie graduated early only a year later and moved back to france to study law. Kaito graduated in 2004 and moved to france to study business administration.
Their families wanted them to get together, so they did. In 2005 Aurélie unexpectedly got pregnant and the two married. Their first and only daughter was born in Tokyo, Japan on one of their many trips there. She has two names, Noel Dubois as her french name and Shika Nakaya as her birth name.
Right after their daughter was born the two moved to Colmar, France. Kaito finished his studies in 2007 and Aurélie got her degree in law in 2008. Kaito started working as a Chief Executive Officer in a big company in a neighboring city, which brought in a lot of money.
In 2008 Aurélie got pregnant again and gave birth to twins. Their french names are Mattheo and Lyam and their japanese names are Akio and Daiki. Only a year later, in 2010, the twins Léon and Louis followed. Their japanese names are Isamu and Jun.
Unfortunately, Aurélie and Kaito had inherited the strict and pressuring characteristics from their parents. They wanted their children to achieve the best and more. Aurélie was almost obsessed with having successful children, that are good in everything. And while Kaito ‘just’ wanted his children to do well, he was still no good parents and often neglected his children.
Especially their daughter Shika had to carry her mother’s unreachably high expectations. Both parents actively neglected their children and when they did pay attention, they were pressuring and unsupportive. In 2017 Kaito and Aurélie had another unexpected child. His french name is Émile while his japanese name is Goro. This would be their last and 6th child. After this their marriage crumbled and when Kaito found out that Aurélie had been cheating on him, he asked for divorce in 2022. Since then, the divorced couple lives separately and both parents lost the custody of their children.

{Brothers – Mattheo, Lyam, Léon, Louis & Émile}
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shika’s younger brothers Matthew and Lyam were born in 2008 in Colmar, France. They are twin brothers and in 2023 they’re 15 years old. Matthew has shown interest in becoming a math teacher while Lyam wants to be a business man.
Shika’s brothers Léon and Louis are also twins and were born in 2010. They are 13 years old in 2023 and both very athletic. Léon wants to become a professional runner and Jun has mentioned studying psychology like their aunt, but they are too young to decide yet.
Shika’s youngest brother Émile was born in 2017 and is six years old in 2023.
Shika loves her siblings endlessly. She always had the responsibility to care for them because both parents were too busy to do so. Although she left them in 2015 the five boys all love their big sister very much and she has never lost contact with them. Shika was paying for the things their parents wouldn’t buy and also paid for a maid, since both parents barely came home.
She regularly visited them, although it was in secret. Not that their parents were around enough to notice but still. In 2022 they got removed from the household by child protective services and moved to Japan, to their aunt who now had the custody for them.
🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜🤍💜
[Aunt – Keiko Nakaya]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Keiko Nakaya is Kaito’s oldest sister. She was born 1981 in Wakayama in the Kansai region of Japan. She has two younger sister and Kaito as her younger brother. Their parents had always been strict and wanted their children to be overachievers.
Keiko was pressured to do well in everything, and she succeeded pretty well. But she still struggled with her parents’ expectations both mentally and physically since they were quite abusive. After graduating from high school in 1999 she moved to South Korea to get away from her family.
She went on to study medicine in 1999. In her second year of University, 2001, her younger sister took her own life with only 18 years of age. She couldn’t stand their parents’ pressure anymore, leaving behind a letter directly addressed at Keiko. This made her change her major from medicine to psychology.
Tragically only 5 years later, right before Keiko’s graduation, her youngest sister took her own life as well. This was 2006 and she was only 16 years old. Keiko was devastated. How had she not noticed? She went to get professional mental help, recognizing how toxic her upbringing really was. With the professional help of a psychiatrist, she found out how deep rooted the trauma was and after 15 months of therapy she got back on her feet. She became a recognized psychiatrist in 2008.
In the same year she moved back to Wakayama, Japan and met a man named Hiroto Kimura. He was an office worker and they met in a café. They fell in love and married a year later in 2009. Keiko got pregnant the same year but had a miscarriage. The marriage crumpled fast after that and in 2010 they got a divorce.
After this, Keiko devoted herself entirely to her work. She wanted children but she was content without a family for now. Keiko found out about the family dynamic of her brother Kaito and tried talking to her brother, but he wouldn’t listen. Keiko didn’t want to make her parents and brothers mistake and therefore supported Shika with her decision to become an idol.
In 2022 her brother Kaito got divorced and all five of her nephews were removed from the household. She got their custody and all five moved to Japan to live with her. It was a shock at first, but she loves her nephews and her niece. Keiko swore to give them what they didn’t get from their parents. Love and support. The five boys adapted well to the new surroundings.

"And... I think we've packed everything we need for our honeymoon."
After storing all the essential items in several luggage, including but not limited to enough clothing appropriate for the weather, toiletries independent of the hotels' inventory, itineraries, and other important 'tools,' Ruki heaved a sigh, rolling the belongings into the unit of transportation. The cruise in mind, while offering a beautiful vista of sapphire ahead, would require everything for both his and his wife's liking as they planned on visiting many tourist spots and countries of interest throughout the world teeming with abundant culture immemorial. Nara, Wakayama... Istanbul, Vienna, Madagascar, Seoul, and countless of gems in continents yet unexplored.
"Truth be told, it's been quite some time since I last went on a boat at all. Yet, seeing the ocean somehow puts me at peace. It's much like the nighttime that calms my restless thoughts," said the eldest Mukami with a genuine grin on his visage. "Are you looking forward to this excursion as much as I am, Irina? I do hope so."
When the Owl suggested a cruise for their cherished time together as newlyweds, Ruki internally hesitated at the idea simply because of his familial instinct to prepare everything for his brothers in his absence. Kou, Yuma, and Azusa had never sent him off for a long trip like this by himself, so part of him still somewhat fretted over what they would eat and the overall condition of the Mukami manor as well. However, he no longer had to worry about their ways of life. Going on this grand voyage to new places never yet seen by him, ready for exploration and adventure, honestly thrilled the Vampire, and now he only had one other person to look for on such a journey.
"This will truly be a honeymoon to remember always. In particular, I'm anticipating a thorough sampling of all the different cuisines we'll try away from home. And don't get me started on the books, either. I'm certain we'll find some for our collection that we don't have—but I'm rambling now."
Would they see rare species of wildlife at the safari? Tour the archives of literature at revered, foreign libraries? Indulge in romantic dates? Ironically enough, Ruki found himself having very human thoughts again so far on into his demonic lifespan, all thanks to his beloved. It was in these lighthearted moments that he could forsake the dark weighing on his shoulders and instead accept the light and warmth with Irina at his side as if they were the sun and moon complementing one another on this special expedition across the globe. Wearing his cherished golden puzzle piece bracelet from Valentine's, alongside the irreplaceable wedding ring to signify their unholy matrimony, the eldest Mukami took her hand in his own.
"Well, I'm ready whenever you are, Irina."

— Mm yes, you're right. The sea is quite a natural lullaby in some sense too, hearing its waves hit a surface and drag across the sand is most numbing, if not soothing to the soul. Well as you say, I also looked forward to this trip... Enjoying a trip with the two of us in basically a mobile hotel around the world sounds like a good adventure, not to say that I am excited about the idea of being able to record memories together in unique situations. —
Responding from time to time to the dialogue offered by her husband, Irina was preparing herself while the man packed their suitcase. With a wooden brush in hand, the blonde woman was defining the shape of her golden ringlets to keep her hair very presentable. And as final touches, she finished shaping her eyebrows with a colored brush and curling her eyelashes with black mascara, as well as giving her lips a nude color.
— Ah of course, fast as always to get ready. — She joked feeling how the golden bracelets were hooked together to show their union, as well as the resplendent wedding ring that was reunited with its mate.
Giving a firm squeeze to her hold as she laced her fingers together, Irina reached up to plant an affectionate kiss on the vampire's jaw. — Actually, I'm ready too. We can already take all our things and go to the port to get on our cruise ship. —
Making sure that everything was at hand, Irina took two cruise tickets out of one of her dresser drawers and then put them in her bag.
Images with fantastic ideas of how they could spend their time together invaded her mind as they made their way to the place. Private Jacuzzi where they could relax, including saunas, swimming pools, their spacious deluxe room where they could shelter from people to rest... In addition to different activities that can be done on the cruise while they do not reach the mainland.
— My, I can't wait to make some new photos together to make a beautiful and big photo album for both of us. It would be a joy to have those memories of our family at hand, don't you think, dear? —
