𝐚 𝐧𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐥𝐦 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐭 - a group of friends wake up one morning after some particularly vivid nightmares only to find strange marks on their bodies and realizing they all saw the same killer in their nightmares. from then on, they became afraid to sleep, discovering that people were being killed in their sleep by some strange entity.

bonus: make one of them be able to walk in dream and team up with the dream to fight back the entity.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐲𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐫 - one year after the gruesome murders of all the residents of the house, a family move-in with their children. over the following weeks, their domestic life begins a sharp decline, family members being uncharacteristically volatile and abusive, strange incidents happening to the children, one of them having an imaginary friend who seems malevolent. incidents escalate and information about the house is found, revealing the long terrific history within its wall.

𝐜𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐧 𝐟𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫 - a group of friends rent a remote cabin in the woods. one of them ventures out to hunt and accidentally shoots a hermit that had been infected by a mystery illness and says nothing to his friends. when the hermit shows up at the cabin, he's refused help. one by one, they start to show signs of the illness and discover that their source of water has been contaminated.

alternative: two children take water from a source that has been contaminated and sell lemonade to town folks, propagating the illness further.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 - it's the last operating week of a once grand hotel and only two employees remain, both fascinated by the haunting history of the hotel, particularly by one bride who hung herself in her room and the fact that her body was hidden in the basement by the owners. only a few guests remains, all of them stranger than the others. After an unexplained incident, one of them starts to record paranormal activity in the hotel, leading to a series of accidents and deaths among the remaining guests.

𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 - a couple has recently moved into a new house with their children. one day, one of the children ventures into the attic and where he mets a mysterious entity. the next day, the child slips into a coma. after months and still no explanation, the family brings back their child home and soon after, strange incidents start to happen, leading them to declare the house haunted and moving out. however, the paranormal activities follow them to their new home and a team of parapsychologists and mediums are called, leading them to discover a malevolent entity close to their comatose son. it's discovered that one of the parent once had such events happen to them and they use his abilities to bring back their son from the further, where he's being held by the malevolent entity.

𝐢𝐭 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐰𝐨 - decades after a group of children defeat some evil in their small town, some disturbing event happen again. only one of them remained in their hometown and following the return of the entity that traumatized them years ago, the others are called back to honor the promise they once made to kill the entity if it ever came back.

bonus: one of them has visions of their deaths if they ever fail to fulfill the oath they swore as children.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐬 - having recently moved to a small town, muse a becomes fascinated with a biker gangs and muse b, a member. muse a is being introduced to the gang and start to get tested by them in order to become trustworthy. muse a starts to undergo a transformation where the smell of food repulse them and starts to be attracted to blood and it becomes clear they are changing.

alternative: muse a and muse b are both humans and one of them wants to become part of the biker gang and the other tries to save them.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐭 - following a severe thunderstorm, muse a and muse b notice a thick fog slowly creeping over. while buying grocery, a neighbor quickly enter the shop and warns everyone that something is in the fog. they watch as someone else gets taken over by it and stay inside the store with others for a day. religious folks within the store takes this opportunity to recruit people to their belief and a cult slowly organize, deciding that sacrifices must be given to the fog to appease it.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧 - following the stillborn birth of their son, muse a is encouraged to adopt an orphan newborn while muse b is unconscious, replacing their stillborn child by this one. as the child grows, disturbing events start to happen around the family and they are eventually contacted by someone who had been involved in their adopted child birth, declaring them the antichrist. muse b start to think that their son is evil and fears them.

alternative: writing one of the parents and the outside person involved in the birth.

𝐨𝐩𝐫𝐡𝐚𝐧 - after their daughter is stillborn, the parents of two children decide to adopt an orphan. one of their children embraces her but the other is hesitant toward them. slowly, their adopted child starts to show disturbing behavior, scaring the children and making one of the parents doubt the other.

𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐞𝐢𝐬𝐭 - a family living in small community starts to experiences strange incidents following their youngest child issuing a warning that they are there. the incidents seems benign at first but soon grow in intensity leading to injuries. a parapsychologist is called to the house and reveal that it's under attack by many different entities, eventually discovering that they are drawn to one of the children's life force, even going as far as using her to stop other spirits from crossing over.

alternative: writing the parapsychologists and mediums investigating the house instead of writing the family.

𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞 - following an economic collapse, a new political party is voted into place, and instated the purge, a yearly event where all crime is permitted by 12 hours. decades later, crime is practically gone and the purge night has become a a celebrated event by many. muse a and muse b are just trying to survive the night.

𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 - muse a, a true crime writer, moves into a new house with muse b and their children. unknown to everyone but muse a, the house was home to a tragedy that killed all family members decades ago, in the hope of writing a bestseller about the event. one night, muse a finds a box of gruesome family movies. muse a notices strange symbols and begins to research each event, discovering that a child went missing at each killing.

𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐧𝐞𝐝 - one day, ten women wake up pregnant despite none of them trying. all ten children are born at the same time, five boys and five girls, except one is stillborn, making his pair partner alone. all the other children act the same, as if ruled by one entity, and show no personality. as they age, they start to show signs of paranormal abilities that are being used only to harm others. muse a and muse b could be parents or one of them could be the lone child grown up.

these nights / muse a & b have a deep connection, nothing like either of them have before. they only want each other, only have yearning for each other. they are both known to move too fast in past relationships but their connection is driving them to move faster than they want to, feel like they have no other choice but to go all in. no matter how much either of them want to slow things down, try to slow things down, it's like their connection is what controls them and it's a struggle of trying to keep away for long enough to not let their connection consume them. strange land / muse a is lost, can't seem to find themselves after a breakup. muse b was their home, their centre. nothing feels right or comfortable anymore and it's hard watching life go past while they can't seem to settle. muse a keeps going back to muse b time after time, despite muse b trying to move on, because muse a feels like they can only be themselves with the other. it's hard to see anything other than their relationship. muse b wants to pull away but sees how much muse a is struggling without a constant, which is them. it's hard for either of them to navigate their break up and find themselves back together way too much. need is your love / muse a and muse b had a one night stand. muse a keeps running back to muse b for 'just one more night' but has become addicted to the connection they have with the other. a constant cycle of another night to break contact and come running back in a couple of weeks because muse a can't find anyone like muse b and they don't want to admit they have feelings. tequila sunrise / muse a knows that they are no good for muse b, that the relationship is toxic but they're so in love with the other person that they cannot walk away. they try to go nights without arguing but it all ends up coming back to the same point. they say that each time will be different, that they will be the best version of themselves, but it's a toxic cycle. muse b loves muse a but there's only so much toxicity that they can take.

bonnie & clyde. muse a and muse b meet on an off chance one night, maybe one is in the middle of a getaway and drags the other along only to learn that they both love the thrill of it all. then starts a series of crimes or just life on the run. the highs are high and the lows are low. they know their flame is burning bright and fast but they couldn’t care less.

muse a has been hopelessly in love with muse b for far too long. and one night the two find themselves on the dance floor together (wedding, night out etc), and just as muse a is losing help that their love could ever be reciprocated, muse b kisses them. they don’t know what the future looks like, but they know what it is in that moment. 

champagne problems

muse a and b have been together for years, but muse a has been secretly unhappy. so on the night that muse b proposed, which muse a probably should have seen coming, they tell them they can’t do it and leaves them. flash forward, and the two run into each other. maybe they’ve both moved on, maybe one wants the other back, or maybe they are too caught up in the what-if’s.

Whilst I’m not expecting you to do daily replies, I am definitely looking for partners that can manage a few replies per week. If you aren’t feeling a particular plot anymore or if things are happening in your real life that will delay replies, please just flick me a message -- I promise that I’m not going to be upset! I’m the kind of partner that likes to talk ooc so that we can plot, share headcanons and muse posts, and build an ooc friendship as well. midnights plot ideas

in honor of dr. swift's latest drop, here are *13* plot ideas based off midnights - 3 a.m. edition. there are some common themes from this album (imo) like learning to love again after heartache, maturing in relationships, wondering "what if?", and manipulating people & situations for better or worse. message me if you'd like to try any of these plots & feel free to reblog.

lavender haze: muse a has always put relationships and domesticity on the backburner, feeling torn between wanting a life partner and wanting to retain their own sense of self. muse b has always loved freely and never felt that happiness and connection were mutually exclusive. when they end up together, muse a has to figure out how to not get caught up in societal labels, timelines, and expectations - while muse b never had any expectations to begin with.

maroon: muse a and muse b met when life seemed simpler - shitty apartments & cheap wine in overcrowded big city apartments. it felt inevitable & easy falling in love then. but when muse a leaves the city & muse b can't (won't?) follow, it's time to see if their connection can survive distance, timing, sobriety, growing up, real life.

you're on your own kid: coming of age in the same small town, it seemed like muse a would always be around, so muse b never thought twice about getting around to finally acting on the simmering hot & cold connection they'd harbored for years. but muse a is getting older now, finding their footing in the world, and no longer content with always coming in last. will muse b ever get it together, or will they get left behind like their hometown?

midnight rain: the golden retriever/black cat trope. muse and muse b were so different, but they always said opposites attract, right? that is, until muse a got it in their mind to propose & muse b said... no. (champagne problems?..) just like that, it was over. and now muse b gets to watch muse a move on - new spouse, new life, and they try to believe they made the right choice all those years ago, but do the "what ifs" keep muse a up at night, too?

question...?: muse a and muse b had one chaotic, silly, perfect night together. for muse a, it felt like they'd finally made it out of the friendzone, like it was really the start of something. but then muse a learned that muse b had a partner all along, and maybe that night didn't mean to muse b what it meant to muse a after all, though they've never actually talked about it.

bejeweled: muse and muse b have been together for awhile now. they've traded the honeymoon phase and butterflies for contentment and routine. but muse a is getting a little too comfortable, and muse b feels forgotten and unappreciated, unsure if they can ever get back to that initial spark. maybe muse a just needs to be reminded of what they have - that muse b has options and can still command attention.

sweet nothing: after years of heartache & insecurity & betrayal, what muse a and muse b have found feels like home & safety & peace. it's the kind of connection that defies definition and makes no sense to the rest of the world and becomes the one thing muse a and b would do anything to defend. it's sacred.

mastermind: muse a and muse b are the ultimate "meet cute" success story. everyone says so. except that it wasn't divine coincidence after all - muse a had their sights on muse b for a long time, planned it all out in painstaking detail, and didn't give up until they could call muse b theirs. and the best part? muse b knew all along - let it happen - because they wanted it just as much.

high infidelity: muse a didn't realize that none of it - the house, the marriage, the picket fence - wasn't what they wanted until it was too late. or was it? now muse a is dipping dangerously into cheating territory and muse b is growing increasingly resentful as the gulf between them grows and grows.

glitch: muse a and b met and quickly became best friends, understanding each other in a way they hadn't found with anyone else. and muse b even became a sounding board for muse a's disastrous dating life horror stories. it worked because muse b was so totally not muse a's type. except one day, it's like a switch flipped & muse b is all muse a can think about, all they want. but how do they explain that to muse b, who so clearly wants to be just friends & has had to listen to all of muse a's flaws and failures?

would've, could've, should've: would it all have been different if muse a and muse b never met? could all the heartache have been spared? and if they could go back, would they even choose to do anything differently? because for all the tears and ghosts of memories and hitting each other where it hurts, there was no other love quite like it.

here are a couple of plots i’m thinking about a lot that i would really like to rp. they’re all inspired from a few different kdramas/manhwa i’ve read.

˚ ༘ ೀ⋆｡˚

1. a free-spirited girl decides she’s going to take a vacation in a local beach town and just be someone else. she uses a different name, tells a few white lies, and becomes the person she really wants to be. she’s living a new simple life. a guy happens to visit the town, they meet, they fall in love, and it’s real. aside from the fact she’s lying about who she is. he’s extending his vacation and telling her he wants to turn this into a relationship. but his work hits a snafu and requests he comes back home, so they promise to stay in touch. but when he comes back, she’s gone. until he runs into her one day, and is really confused why people are calling her by a different name.

2. she’s just started a new job at a large company that just welcomed a new boss. her best friend’s parents keep setting her up on dates and hoping she’ll settle down. instead, her best friend can’t be bothered and asks our girl to go in her place and ruin the date. the guy - he’s a bit uptight, maybe he’s being set up for the same reasons as the friend, but this all fun and games. until he calls her and says he wants to go out again. shit. then when she goes to work the next day, look who’s her new boss! double shit.

3. tw: death - a married couple are getting a divorce. she’s served him papers after all these years. their marriage was a sham set up to keep both families’ business afloat. or was it? because when she thinks she’s finally out, he gets into a fatal accident. ding! the clocks restarted themselves to when the couple first got married - is this a sign that this marriage is not supposed to be over? maybe she needs make this work so the same tragic fate doesn’t happen to him again.

1. Spoils of war — muse A is a king/queen/clan leader who tried and succeeded invading a foreign land. Muse B is a prince(ss)/high priest(ess), brought to muse A as a spoil of war​. Will muse A make them into a slave, break their spirit, fall in love with their sweetness ? Will B forgive A and end up loving them, or will they resent them forever and look for an opportunity to escape, maybe even overthrow them ?

2. Pirate ship — muse A is the captain of a pirate ship, a very traditional man who abides by the rule that women are not allowed on board. Muse B is a girl who always dreamed of becoming a pirate and sail the seven seas, so she dresses up as a man and becomes part of A’s crew, working as their personal assistant. As they become closer, muse A starts developing feelings for muse B, but that can’t happen because they’re both men... or can it ?  Will he change his beliefs for muse B ?  Feel relieved by the truth, betrayed ?

3. Pandemic/zombie apocalipse — our muses are forced to live together, unable to go out other than to get food and remedies. Will they slowly start caring for each other, coming up with fun/cute ideas to pass the time, worrying if the other takes longer to come back, etc...? Or will they end up absolutely hating each other, even using tape to split each room in two ?

4. Deal with the Devil — muse A wanted to be famous more than anything in the world, so they ended up making a deal with the Devil, promising him their first born. Ten years later, all of their dreams have come true — A is very famous, rich and happily married to muse B, who has no idea about the deal muse A made all those years ago. Now they’ve just found out they’re having a baby... will A tell B all about the deal ? Will they try to ignore it until it’s too late ? How will B react ? 

5. Body swapping — our muses hate each other and are very judgemental of each other’s life choices. aproveitando a vinda da maior de todas para o brasil e minha incapacidade de comprar ingresso para o show ( estão ouvindo meu choro ? ) criei uma lista com seis plots baseados na era lover da loirinha ! todos os plots tem como fonte : vozes da minha cabeça . por isso podem soar aleatórios em alguns momentos . mesmo assim , espero que possam gostar , utilizar e se divertir com as ideias aqui escritas ! caso achem uteis , irei pedir apenas para darem like e reblogarem , se puderem , é claro ❤️

cruel summer — após o término de um namoro , muse a é apoiado a superar todas suas mágoas com muse b , com qual mantém uma amizade de anos . entretanto o que se inicia com idas em boates e criação de perfis no tinder , termina com beijos e amassos no banco de traz de um carro . muse a sempre foi alguém romântico , o tipo de pessoa que sentia tudo profundamente , mas muse b era o seu completo oposto , saindo com pessoas diferentes a cada semana , sem uma visão definida de relacionamento . mesmo assim , houve um acordo explicito : ninguém iria se apegar ao que tinham , eles não eram nada a mais que uma curtição , pois logo poderia acabar . mas era possível resistir aos encantos de muse b ? não para muse a . a cada dia que se passava , sentia que estava se afundando mais em um buraco de não poderia sair tão cedo e o combinado que outrora haviam feito , estava se perdendo em meio aos momentos que viviam .

paper rings — muse a faz parte da alta sociedade , sempre usufruindo dos desejos mais restritos , comparecendo as melhores festas e utilizando das melhores marcas . muse b é artista de rua , nunca conheceu metade dos luxos de muse a , suas roupas são de segunda mão , suas festas são em bares de esquinas em sua rua e prefere restringir os seus prazeres pelos dos outros . durante um bico de segurança , muse b acaba esbarrando com muse a que fica completamente fissurada pela aparência alheia . após noites em claro de pesquisas no instagram , consegue localizar o perfil que equivale a muse b . não demora tanto para que mande uma mensagem , ignorando tudo que sempre havia sido ensinada . o problema é que muse b não faz ideia de quem seja muse a ! ou , pelo menos , finge não saber durante as primeiras interações . veja , não é somente muse a que se encanta no primeiro esbarrar . é então que , primeiros encontros em locais ilegais , saídas em carros baratos e grafites em muros particulares se tornam o tipo de vida que estão dispostos a ter . muse a se vê disposta a abrir mão de tudo que tem por muse b , mas será que isso é mesmo necessário ?

10 things I hate about you: muse a, the badass, was paid to date muse b, the hard headed and scary one that doesn’t date, so that the person that hired them could take out their sibling. Lots of ups and downs with muse b trying to resist muse a’s attempts at charming them and then inevitably giving in. Could even mix in the part where muse b finds out the truth for some extra angst!!

The wedding date: muse a’s sibling is getting married and so muse a hires muse b, an escort, to accompany them home for the wedding. It’s the first time muse a has been home since their fiancé broke things off with them and muse a wants to put on a show that they’re okay and not still caught up on what happened. Muse b charms her and her family and they fall for each other, and her family opens up about certain family secrets that muse a didn’t know before. Cue the drama of muse a being upset that muse b found out before she did and let the angst unfold!!

Going the distance: muse a meets muse b while muse b is in town for a few months for an internship. They vow not to make it anything serious since muse b isn’t permanently there but when muse b’s internship is over, muse a confesses their feelings and the two agree to do long distance. Just give me the ups and downs of long distance!! One trying to find a job where the other is, the late night phone calls, the quick trips, and the universe working against them.

The proposal: muse a is on the verge of getting deported and muse b, her assistant, makes a deal with them to marry them in order for them to get their green card so that they can stay in the states. The downside? The two of them hate each other and muse a knows nothing about muse b. In an attempt to get to know them better, they go home with them over the weekend and in between the fighting with each other and the family, they fall for each other.

27 dresses: muse a is always the bridesmaid for all of her friends and muse b is the opposite. They hate weddings, despite being a writer for weddings due to their own fiancé cheating on them years before. Muse b is trying to find an out in their career so that they can take it in a different direction other than weddings and while trying to come up with a way to do so, muse a leaves their planner behind in a shared taxi/uber with muse b, in which muse b discovers how many times muse a has been in a wedding. So, muse b takes the story to their boss and is given this one chance to make a story better than the ones they write for weddings. Muse A’s sister is getting married and muse b uses that as an excuse to get closer to get their story and in the midst of it all, they fall for her. Before they can take back the story or tell muse a about it, it’s published and they’re completely embarrassed. Cue angst and feelings!!

walking / muse a wants muse b and badly. they keep asking what it will take for muse b to give them a chance, for what is needed for them to progress a relationship. muse b is hesitant but muse a keeps saying all the right things. every time they talk muse a is spewing words and words of things to muse b to give in and give their relationship a chance. it's a dance of will they won't they. breathe / muse a and muse b are both in a dead end relationship but neither of them can admit that. neither of them want to be the person to cut it off because they have been together for so long that they aren't sure what life is without the other. muse a is asking for clarity on what muse b wants as muse b is always avoiding difficult conversations as they know it will lead to the end of them as as a couple. shouldn't couldn't wouldn't / muse a is begging for muse b to commit to their newfound relationship. they've been dating and hooking up for a while but muse b is reluctant to put a label on anything. muse a doesn't want to be friends and is making it clear that the only thing they want is commitment or nothing at all. muse b is running laps around the conversation when it comes up but it's down for muse a to force an answer out of muse b. muse b constantly calls muse a up for another hook up but muse a wants more than booty calls. just used music again / muse a is in the music industry and muse b is their on and off ex. every time muse b comes running back to muse a, they end up getting their heart broken again which creates another best selling album. it's a joke in their fandom that they almost thank whoever is hurting them for more and more songs but muse a hates the turmoil they are in with muse b. not only is muse a trying to protect themselves but they are also trying to make sure their fans do not find out who muse b is, as they are a normal person with a private life. muse b knows they are wrong but can't stop themselves from going back constantly.

someone give me a plot where muse a happens to be someone famous (actor, athlete, etc) who has a bad reputation. enters muse b who is a pr manager, who got hired to deal with them. the two gets off on the wrong foot, but thing is they're stuck with each other until muse b's contract end. they're forced to be around one another and even have to share the same room in the hotel as they travel. one thing leads to the other and they begin developing feelings for one another. muse a then finds out some horrible life changing news and cuts all ties with muse b, even getting them fired. however, one night muse a gets drunk and calls muse b telling them how much they miss them.
