Despite however many times they were described, I had always imagined Sandstorm to be a longhaired cream-and-white spotted tabby with amber eyes and curled ears. And Firestar as a thin, thick-furred, lanky ginger ticked tabby with white on his muzzle (shaped like a heart) and around his eyes, ear tufts, and hazel eyes.
Leafpool is always a shorter haired version of her mom and Squirrelflight a longhaired version of her dad in my mind as well. Squirrelflight's front right paw is the one that's white too. All the way up to her elbow.

Graystripe: Gets nosy, thinks he’s a wing-man, and comes back home.
Graystripe: Gets nosy. Takes place while Graystripe lived in Riverclan. The scene is just like the one is A Dangerous Path when Graystripe catches Firestar, Fireheart at the time catching prey for Sandstorm and teases him about it.
P.S: I know this is kind of another FirexSand ship, they’re my favorite, but I just wanted to add a moment with Graystripe. Another ship is coming out soon, stay tuned!
Amber eyes watched two cats across the river, one a dark ginger tom, the other a light ginger she-cat with even paler, faded stripes. The one watching them, a dark, fluffy gray tom, was hidden in a bush, the mouse he had been hunting long forgotten. Graystripe looked across the river with sadness, he missed his old friend Fireheart, friends since Fireheart became a wild cat and joined Thunderclan. Graystripe was born a warrior of Thunderclan, but when he had taken a mate from Riverclan and she died kitting, Graystripe took his and Silverstream’s kits to Riverclan. And now the only time he could see Fireheart is if they both happen to be on a patrol around their borders at the same time, or at gatherings. But Graystripe was doing it for Stormkit and Featherkit, hoping that Fireheart understands.
As he continued to watch them, only watching them from the beginning because he never thought he’d see Fireheart and Sandstorm walking with each other, the gray tom let out a meow of laughter when Fireheart had caught some prey for the she-cat, who in return said she could catch her own. When Sandstorm had walked off towards the wooded area, Fireheart stayed behind, watching her.
“I never thought, in my life, that I would see something like that.” Graystripe came out of the bush, nearly making Fireheart jump out of his skin.
“Graystripe!” Fireheart purred at the sight of his friend, “you scared me.”
“Is Sandstorm special to you?” Graystripe asked as he swam across the river, so that they wouldn’t be shouting.
“How’s your kits?” Fireheart questioned in return, shifting on his paws.
“Don’t change the subject,” Graystripe shook the water of his pelt, then he let out a purr, “don’t worry your secret is safe with me.”
“What secret?” asked Fireheart, trying act like he doesn’t know what his friend had saw.
“Really? Have you become a mousebrain our something? I seen you trying to catch prey for Sandstorm, might I add she is very independent so be careful, I thought you knew that by now. And I saw you looking after her when she walked away, you like her.”
“N-no,” Fireheart stuttered, hoping that Sandstorm wasn’t close by and hearing this conversation.
“You love her!” Graystripe purred, “I know it, I’m your friend I can tell. Though I never thought it would be Sandstorm, but either way I’m happy for you, she is a great cat.”
Fireheart stood there for a moment staring at his friend, could he really tell that he has a thing for Sandstorm?
“Oh, hey Sandstorm, how you’ve been?” Graystripe welcomed, noticing Firehearts green eyed widen.
“I’m well, thanks,” Sandstorm dropped a bird by her feet, “and you? How’s the kits?”
“Good, and they’re great. Featherkit looks more like her mother every day.” Graystripe purred.
After a short while of catching up, Sandstorm and Fireheart decided it was time to return to camp, and as they were leaving Graystripe whispered at Fireheart to talk to Sandstorm. And about a moon later, Graystripe was told by Leapoardfur to go back to Thunderclan since that is where his loyalties lie. The gray warrior was surprised to see that Fireheart and Sandstorm were not mates yet. So, Graystripe went to a cat whom he thought would be a good source. Dustpelt. And since Whitestorm was talking to the brown tabby tom, he would ask the senior warrior too since he was Sandstorm’s mentor.
“Why aren’t Fireheart and Sandstorm mates yet?” Graystripe started off when he sat by the two Thunderclan warriors, who shared a confused look, “I told him to talk to her.”
“Because he is too much of a mousebrain to realize that Sandstorm likes him,” Dustpelt spoke, and whispered the next part, “and so is she for not seeing it.”
“The whole clan knows they have feelings toward one another, but they themselves aren’t doing anything.” Whitestorm explained, “I could even see it a while before Sandstorm became a warrior. At first, I laughed at the karma, but know I wish they would just talk to each other about it already, it’s tiring.”
“Well, they just need a light push,” Graystripe suggested as he walked off toward Sandstorm.
“Should we prepare for a burial?” Dustpelt asked, “I feel like he’s going to get a little too nosy to the wrong cat.”
“Graystripe’s just excited,” Whitestorm meowed.
Thankfully, nothing happened, Graystripe just hinted at it. But after he talked to Sandstorm, he made his rounds to all his clanmates, not talking about Fireheart and Sandstorm but catching up on their lives and taught some of the apprentices some new battle techniques he learned in Riverclan.
Most importantly, Graystripe was just happy to be back home, yes he missed his kits, but he knew they were in the clan where they belong. And he couldn’t wait to fight alongside his clan again, to hunt on the lands her grew up on. He knew where he belonged, and that’s with Thunderclan.

Firestar
Rusty didn't like the home he had been re-homed too. His people lived in a very cluttered part of town and it was often pretty loud. The forest was quiet and bigger than what he had to work with, which made it much more appealing to him.
Firestar is pan and I usually also headcanon him as trans, cause I really like dilute torbie Firestar!
Firestar lives kits and always visits new litters whenever he could, in starclan he can often be seen watching over kits and apprentices.
Sandstorm
Sandstorm should've mentored Tawnypaw and I will die on this hill.
Sandstorm has big Bisexual energy! In the GreenRose Au she's also trans!
Sandstorm has a lot of friends, in canon we only saw her friendship with Dustpelt (that disappeared after she and Fire became mates) but I like to think she was friends with Ferncloud, Brightheart, Longtail and, Cinderpelt. I imagine she liked to hunt with Bright and Cloud.
Firestar x Ravenpaw
Firepaw and Ravenpaw kind of became accidental apprenticehood sweethearts. Firepaw always did his best to keep Ravenpaw calm and helping him discovering the conspiracy behind Tigerclaw. Ravenpaw kind of just...fell in love with put realizing it. Unbeknownst to him Firepaw also had one heck of a crush on Ravenpaw.
When Tigerclaw tried to turn the clan against Ravenpaw to save his hide, Dustpaw of all cats, actually stood up for him whenever he heard any bad gossip. Most cats eventually would realize that Ravenpaw was much to anxious and nervous to do anything against Thunderclan. This is also where a very shy but heartfelt confession was made, when Ravenpaw thought Firepaw was asleep he confessed his feelings and was very shocked to find he was awake and returned the feelings!
Ravenpaw becomes Ravensong and when Fireheart becomes Firestar they have a small litter of two girls, Shadekit and Emberkit!
Sandstorm x Echosong x Leafstar
This is directly from the Skyclan!Sandstorm AU!
Sandstorm and Firestar break up over the whole Spottedleaf debacle. Firestar tries to explain to her that he loves her but after Spottedleaf interrupts one last time Sandstorm makes her decision to stay in Skyclan.
She's very popular in Skyclan, a lot of apprentices and warriors ask her what it's like being from a 'real clan'. She always had someone wanting to eat a meal with her. Cherrypaw and Sparrowpaw especially tried to get the most advice from her. Leafstar and Echosong both had devolved feelings for her during the events of Firestar's Quest but because of her separation from her former mate they were hesitant to make any moves.
It's during Skyclan's Destiny where Leafstar tells Sandstorm her feelings but under the assumption that Leaders can't have mates from what Echosong told her. Sandstorm laughed and gently explained that that wasn't the case. Leafstar and Sandstorm started to secretly court and soon enough, after Frecklepaw became a medicine cat, Echosong joined as well!
They have a litter not long before New Prophecy, Squirrelkit, Sunkit and, Firekit.

WC thoughts part 1
An interesting plot point would be that traitors to the Clans would be passed off to another Clan to be taken care of. So like Brokentail ended up being captured by ThunderClan, only make that an official ritual, and Tigerclaw was sent to ShadowClan and that's how he managed to take them over.
First arc post Tigerclaw ThunderClan has a Clanwide mental breakdown because everyone starts questioning themselves and their culture. "One of our own turned against us so casually and nobody noticed!" "We're all kin to him somehow, what does that make us?" "I looked up to him. If he's the strongest warrior we have and he's evil, what does that mean for our Clan?!"
The human version of Firestar's Quest would be really interesting. I'd say that Firestar still had dreams, but it was of a town of people who were driven away by floods in the early days of the Clans. Thunder, River, Wind, and Shadow managed to rebuild after everyone scattered, but the Sky group had to move and lost many of their people in the process. So Firestar gets dreams of the Sky group because StarClan regrets not being able to help more. He takes Sandstorm and a patrol of five other cats to see what became of the Sky group. It turns out the Sky group integrated with the locals of various towns before they found a place to settle, so Firestar and the Thunder group gathered descendants of the original Sky group who wanted to learn more about their ancestors and reformed the Clan. The sideplot with FirexSand as a relationship could be really cool because how the fuck do you deal with what amounts to an emotional affair that your husband just never gets over? I'd say Sand(y)storm offers to ends the relationship quite a few times but they eventually work it out. It'd be a lot more interesting given there are five extra Thunder group members to bear witness to the relationship troubles.
Human!Warriors Brambleclaw always wanted to have kids but he wrestled with the thought of bringing more Tigerclaw spawn into the world given his father's gang legacy and the fact that he looks exactly like him. Jay, Leo, and Holly got him used to the idea of having kids and when Willow and Jeff (Spark and Alder) he was okay with the idea of biological kids but relieved that they took after Firestar's family more.
Human! Warriors Goldenflower had Swiftpaw before she met Tigerclaw so Tight had a lot of sucking up to do. In this hc Swiftpaw was killed by a rival gang to send a message (that Tigerclaw secretly controlled) which makes the whole reveal way more bittersweet.
Human! Warriors Jayfeather: can't cook but is best tastetester. Lionblaze: can absolutely whip up a storm of food that you'll love. Hollyleaf: can't cook and definitely doesn't know what tastes good other than strong flavors she can pick out. Squirrelflight: tastetester. Brambleclaw: head chef of the family. Goldenflower: best cook ever. Firestar got his cooking skills from her and Bluestar. Tigerclaw: wine connoisseur. And very good at it. TigerSTAR: burned tastebuds after Golden found out about Sasha and his evil plans.
