What did you make for your lord of ring setup it look so good
It’s been some weeks so I’ll attempt to remember accurately with the help of pictures.
So for the hobbit dinner we had...
-Apple carrot salad with walnuts and cilantro
-Apple walnut tarts (apparently apples and walnuts were a Thing)
-Stuffed mushrooms
-Meat pie
-Seed cakes (like Bilbo made) with jam
-A cheese and pickle platter
-Hard apple cider

And for the Rivendell dinner...
-Melon salad (watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, basil, and feta cheese plus a dressing I don’t remember)
-Hand pies (I think they were beef and mushroom...?)
-Lembas bread (basically subtly sweet, dense little tea biscuits)
-Green salad (spinach, arugula, and I think purple romaine lettuce?? With walnuts and some sort of dressing)
-A berry trifle
-Some sort of sparkling white wine (not champagne but I don’t remember the name)
-Athelas / kingsfoil tea (mint, ginger root, garlic, and I think something else...?)

Remembering to post this on the right blog, woo me!
First day off after a looooong and painful week and took a trip to the market stall so this was lunch.
Fresh greens...baby spinach, lambs lettuce, pea shoots and rocket (arugula....not the racoon) sweetcorn, new potatoes with the skins on and yes that is real cheese ....feta and port salut....because the local farm guy does amazing cheese! an eggy gift from my feathered friends in the garden and home made slaw
The slaw is red cabbage, white cabbage, carrot, celeriac and spring onion shredded and mixed in Vegenaise. Because I had this I was able to resist the urge to smother it all in salad dressing.
Desert was watermelon, apricot and 3 of the biggest strawberries in the punnet that I bought from nice local farmer man (yes there really are only 3 strawberries on that plate) and one scoop each of the 2 ice creams, because I couldn’t decide.
