HAPPY HOLLYDAZE!! More Lady Mo if possible!!! ✨
a continuation of 52 53 54 55 56 57
"I believe," Lan Wangji says severely, "that what my wife does or does not do is no one's concern but mine."
Xuanyu raises an eyebrow at that, which he ignores. He knows exactly what she thinks about his concern regarding her actions. She'd been irritated that he was upset she faced fierce corpses alone, of all things.
Jin Zixun pales, but he must have a high opinion of his own importance because he says, "For fuck's sake, you're being ridiculous. A year ago no one would have cared if she drunk herself to death and now she can't even have a little wine?"
Lan Wangji does not make the conscious decision to unsheathe his blade, but there it is gleaming in his hand.
Jiang Yanli is being pushed back into her seat by her husband while her son stares wide eyed.
There's some intense shuffling from the Lan section. Although he doesn't turn around, he does hear Jingyi and Sizhui whispering furiously. He wonders who is restraining who.
Jiang Cheng is standing with a hand on his sword and no one is going to any effort to restrain him at all. Li Shuchun, the only one that might have a chance of it, is leaning back to exchange money with another Jiang disciple.
"This is quite enough!" Jin Guangshan shouts. "What's this about? Sect Leader Lan-"
"Oh, be quiet Father," Xuanyu says, getting to her feet and stepping forward to grab his hand and shove his hand down. "What's with you today, Wangji? Put that away." She's very close and glaring at him, so he resheathes his sword.
"Jin Xuanyu!" Jin Guangshan thunders.
She rolls her eyes, turning to Jin Zixun. She punches his shoulder, a move that he dodges instantly. Which leaves him wide open when she grabs his sword off his hip, tosses it to Jin Guangyao, and then drops to kick his legs out from under him.
She pushes down on his shoulder, keeping him on his knees, and says, "Wangji, dear, would you hold him for me?"
She called him dear.
He steps to grab Jin Zixun's wrists, keeping him in place.
"What are you doing?" he howls. "You can't just-"
"You wanted to drink, right?" she asks then picks up a wine bottle with one hand and pinches his nose shut with the other.
He opens his mouth and Xuanyu pours wine down his throat. He can either drink or drown.
"Come on," she says cheerfully, "don't you want to drink to another fruitful year? Have some more!"
He drinks until he's coughing and sputtering, eyes glassy. Everyone just watches, but then again who is there to say anything? Jin Zixuan is keeping himself firmly in his own seat and Jin Guangshan and Madame Jin are just staring, probably more interested in watching everyone else's reaction then anything else.
"There," she says once the bottle is empty. "Feeling better?"
"You're crazy," he coughs.
Xuanyu's grin widens. "I am the legitimate daughter of Sect Leader Jin. I am the wife of Hanguang Jun. What I am is someone who is above you. You're lucky I don't have you whipped for your impudence. Isn't he, Father?"
Jin Guangyao has never once made a fuss about his status, afraid that what was easily given could be easily taken. Xuanyu clearly is, because her own status can't be revoked without making a mockery of the Jin's treaty with the Lan, and Jin Guangshan either reaffirms her rights and privileges as his daughter or risks lowering the authority of the son he does favor - Jin Zixuan.
Lan Wangji is suddenly grateful that Xuanyu hadn't been interested in manipulating him to her benefit.
Jin Guangshan is nearly purple in rage, but he gets out through clenched teeth, "Yes, Xuanyu. Of course."
"Why has the music stopped?" she asks the hall, giving Lan Wangji a look. He lets go of Jin Zixun and can't help the curl of amusement when he falls flat on his face. "This is a banquet, after all!"
The music starts up again and conversation slowly starts once more as Jin Zixun stumbles from the hall. He doesn't want to leave her side, but she's seated by Jin Guangyao once more and chatting about the schedule for tomorrow. Jin Guangyao seems supremely relaxed, which Lan Wangji is given to believe that means he's laughing on the inside.
He sits down next to his brother, waiting for the scolding he rightfully deserves.
"Wangji," Xichen says seriously. "Don't take this the wrong way, but I think I love your wife."
He hides his smile behind his teacup.

au of an au for mdzs where canon plays out exactly as it was supposed to except
wwx became a calamity after dying and cared for his coven of ghosts in yiling before mxy summoned him for revenge.
he still elopes with lwj after solving the corpse question
supreme ghosts have a similar ability to gods taking deputies, except since they're not sharing immortality they can have a lot more of them
wwx's "deputies" are (in order) jiang cheng, the wen remnants, luo qingyang, nie huaisang, mo xuanyu, jin ling, lan jingyi, ouyang zhizhen, lan sizhui, and lan wangji.
being a calamity's "deputy" means that you are soul bonded to them, with a kind of preternatural sense of the wellbeing of the entire coven.
one of the heavenly officials decides to fuck around with time, and only other heavenly officials were supposed to remember, except extremely strong ghosts and their covens also remember because there are TWO gods married to calamities, and calamities are weirdly cooperative with each other (hc, hx, wwx, & gL discuss trade agreements over tea and artistic process over alcohol).
thus like 75 people are now in the past.
wwx's child body cant stand the power his soul has and just kinda crumbles under the weight. thats mostly fine tho cause he can shapeshift.
of course he immediately comes up with a dastardly plan to inflict as much chaos onto the sects as possible while also protecting his loved ones at the same time. he gets in contact with the wen remnants (bigger and there's more of them) and slowly moves them over to yiling while he builds places for them to live on the mountain, and then offers the people of yiling a very good deal:
"we'll deal with all your ghost problems for free, and in exchange we get discounts on food, and you tell everyone who comes asking that the Yiling Wei sect has been here the entire time."
its almost too easy to set up, too. they forge some trade agreements and other documents to place in the other sects' files, waiting to be found, with ease, bc he knows what the filing for the jiang, lan, wen, and nie looks like, and part of the story is that the jin offended them so badly that they just stopped doing business with them altogether and also tend to actively hate them with few exceptions.
meanwhile, huaisang, qingyang, and wangji will reference the Yiling Wei and act like this is something everyone knows about, and jiang cheng catches on and starts doing the same.
wwx's plan is to drive them all insane by appearing out of nowhere and acting like he's been there the entire time. make them question reality.
wen popo, at a discussion conference: i'll be standing in for my grandson so he can participate in the games
jiang fengmian, initiating polite conversation: your grandson? what happened to your son?
wen popo, internally cackling: fengmian! are you so quick to discard changze like this?! for shame!!
jiang fengmian, who has never met this lady: what
wen popo: you know i trusted him when he said he wanted to stand by his sworn brother's side but if this is how you treat his memory after he was so unwaveringly loyal to you, only ever leaving for Cangse, the love of his life, then i'll have to have you stricken from the legacy registry!
wen popo, with unfaltering confidence: good evening wen-zhongzhu
wen ruohan, who has incurable face blindness: well met Wei-zhongzhu (do i know her???)
nie mingjue is the only one who's taking any of this well and thats solely because his brother has been spoon feeding him Yiling Wei propaganda for 13 years. lan xichen has a crisis because his baby brother eloped with a clan leader he met thrice and they're having a spring wedding.

hello!! 👀 (for the au ask game)?
Hello!! This is so extremely belated, I'm very sorry.
One AU I will never write is one I've outlined loosely in its entirety (so maybe I should just post the outline?) and it's the AU where Jin Ling is a cis girl. This is one of my earliest attempts to answer the question "what would actually make Jiang Cheng happy?" and it involved the conclusion of "Jin Ling living in Lotus Pier and inheriting without the sect being absorbed into the Jin." And I felt like I could make it happen for girl!Jin Ling!
Because the Jin Sect especially sucks, Jin Ling being a girl removes her from the line of succession. She's still given to Jiang Cheng to care for, and like canon Jin Ling, she splits time between both sects with the understanding that she still technically belongs to the Jin, despite them being unwilling to make her sect heir. After Jin Guangshan dies, Jin Guangyao and Jiang Cheng come to an unofficial agreement that she will marry a Jiang disciple of suitably high cultivation and rank and inherit the sect that way.
Jin Rusong, the only available male heir who's not Mo Xuanyu, is watched like a hawk and doesn't get murdered. (I am agnostic re: whether Jin Guangyao had him killed or not. Either way, needing a direct heir and there being more of a reason to expect Rusong to be at risk are both elements that could change the outcome there.) He's a very sweet kid, and much, much smarter than he looks, but he is spoiled to pieces, including by Jin Ling. That's her cute baby cousin! Of course he can have everything he wants!
Qin Su, having her son to protect, does not commit suicide despite finding out about the incest (although she ain't doing too good). The incest is also not revealed publicly. Unfortunately, an Evil Jin Elder—Jin Chan's grandfather—finds out about it somehow.
When Jin Ling returns to the Jin Sect to protect Jin Rusong and investigate Jin Guangyao's secret room, she gains access to—among other things—a treasure trove of blackmail material about the Jin elders.
The Evil Jin Elder, not wanting to be blackmailed or publicly dragged up on charges, blackmails Qin Su into using Jin Ling to fulfill an old written offer of marriage from the Lan sect. This solves a number of different problems for him: no more secret sect investigation, weakens Jin Rusong's faction, reaffirms now-shaky relationship with the Lan. So many birds with one stone! Qin Su is not about this but is also very, very desperate to remain in her position in order to protect Jin Rusong.
Jin Ling wakes up, bound hand and foot, in a carriage to the Lan sect, without her bow, Suihua, or Fairy. (Despite being all tied up, she still resists strenuously with her teeth. "Why does she even need that dog," says one of Evil Jin Elder's henchmen bitterly, as they haul her from carriage to palanquin.) Once there, she learns that the offer specifies a member of the inner family, but not who; and that a certain faction of elders is proposing that she be married to Lan Xichen, i.e. her uncle's secret boyfriend who killed him.
Jin Ling has never gone along quietly with anything she didn't like in her entire life. Her escape involves Lan Qiren, Lan Jingyi, Wei Wuxian, and Li'l Apple on a boat.
Story 1 is the story of how Jin Ling becomes the (still unmarried) heir to the Jiang sect, and it's pre-lingyi. Story 2 involves her eventual marriage, since, as Jiang Sect heir, Jin Ling needs to find a husband. She proposes (like the great-granddaughter of Genghis Khan) that any potential husband has to beat her in a contest that she chooses. Then she has to frantically brainstorm a contest of martial prowess that Lan Jingyi can beat her at. (Wrestling. It's wrestling. This is 100% because Lan Jingyi sucks at so many things and not an excuse for her to get wrestled to the ground by the goofy Lan boy with the very nice arms, Jin Rusong, how dare you insinuate things of that nature—)

@aniseandspearmint prompted: How about WWX in MXY's body somehow being put in charge of the Jin? He IS technically last blood son of JGS standing?
ao3
“Hah,” Wei Wuxian said. And then, feeling that was perhaps insufficient, he added, “Hahahah.”
“They are not joking,” Lan Wangji said.
Wei Wuxian had been afraid of that.
“You can’t actually be serious,” he protested. “I mean, who doesn’t know that I’m Wei Wuxian by now? Even if Mo Xuanyu was one of Jin Guangshan’s sons, I’m definitely not – why in the world would anyone want to make me Sect Leader Jin? I mean, Jin Ling is right there!”
“He’s too young,” Jiang Cheng said, then scowled when Wei Wuxian shot him an incredulous look. “Not by my standards, by theirs! There’s an age limit, and he hasn’t met it yet; it’s as simple as that.”
“All right, all right, fine, let’s say I buy that –” Wei Wuxian breezily ignored Jiang Cheng’s incredulous “Buy what?!” “– that still doesn’t explain why the Jin sect would be willing, much less eager to put me in charge. Me! I mean, I’ve done so many terrible things!”
Lan Jingyi scratched his head. “Uh, I mean, their last sect leader murdered the previous one, so they’re clearly not picky.”
Lan Sizhui, blushing bright red, kicked him in the shin.
Everyone else pretended as hard as they could that they hadn’t heard.
“Jinlin Tower has a number of enchantments and arrays that are triggered only through a blood connection,” Jiang Cheng said through gritted teeth. “And before you say ‘well don’t they have cousins’, the entire point is that, apparently, in Lanling Jin one of the ways the sect leader’s main family keeps power is by monopolizing access to those arrays. If we transfer it over to another family as regent for Jin Ling, there’s no telling whether they’ll give it back when it’s time, and once they have the power, we wouldn’t be able to force them to do it.”
Well, shit. That actually made sense – assuming you were a paranoid from a family of paranoids that viewed their own extended family as the biggest threat to their power.
Sadly, that described the standard Lanling Jin sect to a tee.
Well, he supposed that stupid peacock Jin Zixuan wasn’t like that – he was just stupid, arrogant, and awkward. Come to think of it, if it wasn’t for all those arrays and whatnot acting as a guarantee, Wei Wuxian would really have had to wonder if the former Madame Jin hadn’t just pulled a fast one on Jin Guangshan…
Eh, he supposed some people just took after their mothers. Look at Jin Ling, he was shijie’s boy through and through, with only a little Jin arrogance on him like gilt – absolutely perfect.
And, of course, if Wei Wuxian refused this ‘honor’, it was Jin Ling’s patrimony that was going to disappear.
Wei Wuxian groaned.
“Yeah,” Jiang Cheng said grimly. “I know.”
“Do I have to, you know, actually run the place?” he asked, rubbing his face. “I’m going to put it out there right now, I have no idea how to run a sect – and Jiang Cheng can’t run two sects at once no matter how hard he tries. He’ll explode.”
Jiang Cheng looked annoyed but also like he couldn’t deny it.
“And before anyone says anything,” Wei Wuxian added, knowing that Lan Jingyi was only resisting saying something stupid on account of Lan Sizhui’s vice-tight grip on his arm,” Lan Zhan is great in many ways, but he also has no idea how to run a sect.”
That had been pretty obvious in the first month or two after Lan Xichen had gone into his year-long seclusion. Lan Wangji was an amazing cultivator, a fearsome fighter, a stellar night-hunter, a superlative solver of problems, a terrific teacher of juniors…but he didn’t understand people, he had no patience for fools, and while he could fill out sect paperwork, it bored him to the point where, even when trying his best to be diligent, he often ended up filling things out without thinking them through, leading to all sorts of disasters.
Lan Qiren had had to take over.
The irascible old teacher wasn’t notably better at understanding people, but he’d clearly forced himself to learn the skill in a way that Lan Wangji hadn’t, and he had several decades’ worth of experience besides. He hadn’t enjoyed coming out retirement to be acting sect leader again one bit, which had made his already formidable temper worse than usual – immediately springing to mind was that brief interlude where he’d gotten sick of Wei Wuxian’s (possibly slightly in bad taste) joking around and briefly banned the entire Cloud Recesses from interacting with him – and Wei Wuxian was pretty sure that no one was happier than he was when Lan Xichen finally re-emerged from seclusion, more solemn but steadier and centered in a way he hadn’t been before the seclusion.
“Is there someone in the Jin sect I could rely on, maybe..?”
Wei Wuxian looked around.
Everyone’s faces were grim.
Yeah, he hadn’t really thought so. In order to maintain complete control and power, Jin Guangshan had deliberately created a destabilizing atmosphere of backstabbing and internal politicking, each family branch out for themselves, and Jin Guangyao had followed in his odious father’s lead on that score, however pretty a face he’d put on it to the rest of the world.
“No,” Jiang Cheng finally said, completely unnecessarily. “That’s just asking for corruption and sabotage. We need someone who will be a reliable regent for Jin Ling, not a schemer looking for a way to steal the role or a thief looking to pad their family’s wealth while they can.”
“What’s your suggestion, then?” Wei Wuxian argued back. “I can’t do it! I really, really can’t. At least Lan Zhan has had training on what to do, the closest I ever got to being sect leader is being head disciple, which isn’t the same at all –”
“Definitely not,” Lan Jingyi interjected fervently, probably because he had somehow found himself being named the Lan sect’s head disciple of his own generation. Wei Wuxian had originally wondered why they hadn’t gone with Lan Sizhui, who in his (completely non-biased) opinion was the natural choice. Or, well, at least he’d wondered right up until he’d seen Lan Sizhui being completely incapable of rejecting requests from anyone younger than him that made a sad expression at him. Being head disciple meant being willing to impose discipline on those around you, potentially being the target of anger and resentment, and that just wasn’t Lan Sizhui’s personality.
(Lan Jingyi, on the other hand, was a head disciple in Wei Wuxian’s own model: being just too much fun for anyone to mind it too much when he really did impose discipline.)
“What about the Yiling Burial Mounds?”
Wei Wuxian snorted. “I’m sorry, you think I ran that place? It was Wen Qing from beginning to end.”
Jiang Cheng didn’t even have the grace to look surprised, the asshole.
(Neither did Lan Wangji, but that was just because Wei Wuxian’s perfect husband knew him so well. How cute!)
“There is only one solution,” Lan Wangji said. He had a very rare expression on his face – completely undecipherable to anyone else, but readable to Wei Wuxian as…apologetic?
Wait, why was Lan Wangji feeling apologetic?
“I agree,” Jiang Cheng said, and he looked gleeful – which was even more worrying. “My apologies to your uncle, Hanguang-jun, but we’re going to have to have him come out of retirement one more time.”
“Wait,” Wei Wuxian said, horror dawning. “Wait, wait, no. No. I’m not running the Jin sect with Lan Qiren –”

What do you think MDZS characters at a LOTR convention would look like?
I'm assuming this ask is about cosplay, so here goes:
Wei Wuxian stitches up a copy of Arwen's red and blue mourning dress and dresses A-Yuan as her son Eldarion. Halfway through the con, they stumble across Lan Wangji in an ent costume. <3
Lan Qiren goes as Elrond. He is very tired, and also in charge of too many people. Someone help him; he shaved off his precious beard for this.
Wen Qing and Jiang Cheng both end up going as Arwen's twin brothers, Elladan and Elrohir; this is because Wei Wuxian was cosplaying Arwen, and Wen Ning was cosplaying Elrohir. Their costumes look similar to Aragorn's traveling outfit in LOTR, because of the twins' close association with the Dunedain.
Jiang Yanli and Jin Zixuan cosplay as hobbits, complete with furry hobbit feet. Jin Ling insisted on going as Bill the pony.
Nie Mingjue and Lan Xichen cosplayed as Sauron and Thranduil respectively, at Jingyi's request. Lan Xichen's costume looked like this; and he looked so gorgeous in it that NMJ couldn't stop kissing him at the con. By the end of the weekend, there were over a hundred Sauron/Thranduil fics on Lofter and AO3; the fandom never recovered.
Meanwhile, Jingyi went as baby Legolas with a tiny bow and quiver.
Nie Huaisang made a very good Galadriel. He's just that fabulous.

Letters to Santa
Day Thirteen of WangXian Christmas Stories!
“So, what did you do in school today?” Wei Ying asked as he strapped in the three kids in his care that day, Lan Jingyi, Jin Ling and his own son, Lan Sizhui.
“We wrote letters to Santa!” Sizhui responded, “It was so fun!”
“Yeah! Teacher said she’ll send them to Santa today from the post office!” Jingyi completed, fiddling with the toy he’d taken to school that day.
“Santa’s not real, I don’t know why you guys don’t believe me.” Jin Ling grumbled. “Uncle told me it’s just a story for silly kids!”
Wei Ying started the car and carefully merged into traffic. “Jiang Cheng’s always been a Grinch, you shouldn’t believe him. Santa’s totally real, I’ve actually met him a few times!”
Lan Jingyi and Sizhui gasped in surprise. “Really!?”
“Really! I even saw the reindeer!”
“Rudolph too?!”
“Of course! His nose is impossible to miss! It’s like a red light!”
Jin Ling seemed unconvinced still. “Reindeer can’t have glowing noses!”
“They can if they’re magic!” Jingyi argued. “Right, Mr. Wei?”
“Absolutely!”
“I don’t believe any of you, there’s no way Santa’s real! Uncle Jiang says that it’s not possible for him to just go around the globe in one night and give everyone gifts, that’s not how travelling works!”
Wei Ying could barely keep himself from laughing. “Santa doesn’t use regular infrastructure, A-Ling.”
“No such thing!”
“Fine, then when we get home, you can ask Lan Zhan. He doesn’t lie, so you can believe everything he says.”
Jin Ling seemed satisfied with that proposition and could hardly wait to be proven right... until...
“It is true.” Lan Zhan said as he set the table for the three hungry kids.
“But... but how? Uncle said you can’t just...”
“Powerful engines. One of their kind.”
“I designed them myself!” Wei Ying interjected as he tidied around the apartment, “That’s how I met Santa!”
“Mn. Wei Ying is a great engineer.”
“What’s the point of reindeer then?!”
Lan Zhan busied himself with dish-washing. “Marketing.”
Wei Ying had to rush to the bathroom to laugh.

Jingyi: *entering* Rusong!
A-Qing: this guy!
Jingyi: oh no.
Yao; Yi'er. *smile*
Jingyi: hey Diedie. I just want to borrow Rusong for a bit.
Bro! Gumiho dancers or Kitsunes?
Rusong: both!
And I have invited Ling gege and the homies!
Jingyi: love that! Got ya, Dianxia.
Yao: all for the party?
Rusong: yep. We invited some friends and the hulijings, Kitsunes and Gumihos as well.
Yao: the whole empire, Song'er? *laughing*
Rusong: *joking* as I must!
Yao: have fun you two.
A-Qing: what's a gumiho?
Rusong: a Korean fox spirit. A-Die is the Gumiho emperor of the North as well
A-Qing: do you guys know Korean then?!!
Rusong; A-Die do, but my Korean is a little rusty.
We know Japanese though.
A-Qing: what a multilingual Huangdi.
Su she: yes, he's very very talented.
Xue yang: Jiggy, do you know the language of love?
Yao: *gives him a piece of candy*
Xue yang: *grinning*
Qin Su: Songsong, here's some money for the party. *hands them a few sacks of taels* you deserve the best.
Yao: and here's extra!
Rusong: thank you, A-niang, A-Die!
Jingyi: you're awesome! Thanks!
Yao: no prob, darlings.
A-Qing: Jiggy, how did you adopt the enemy?
Yao: excuse me?
A-Qing: xue yang told me all about him! He doesn't like team dimple.
Yao: My dear Jingyi only glorifies Hanguang Jun.
But other than that he's a nice kid.
Jingyi: right! Tell her Diedie.
A-Qing: diedie my foot!
Do you guys even like Hanguang Jun?
Su she: I fell to stab him and his Lan brother every time.
He also insulted my Huangdi on many occasions.
Jingyi: when did he do that?!!
Su she: it's uncountable.
And not only insulted but attacked him too!
This pompous Lan zhan can't even look my Huangdi's way.
Jingyi: that's a lie!
Qin Su: you shouldn't go against your A-Die, Jingyi! Don't forget your filial piety and your respect towards Huangdi.
Jingyi: shit. I forgot.
Sorry Diedie.
Yao: it's fine.
Xue yang: dude is a major obstacle for me. Him and his fruity self.
Mo xuanyu: he said that it's illegal to look like wei wuxian.
*sobs*
What if I have the same colored hair and share the love for demonic cultivation as him.
Should I be brunette or go blonde?
A-Qing: see. See what Lan zhan did to them.
Jingyi: that doesn't have anything to do with me!!
Yao: A-qing, relax. We're one happy family. And look. Him and Rusong make adorable siblings.
Yes, we don't really fancy Hanguang Jun so much but we do respect him. Well I do.
I'll protect my team dimple, Song'er, A-niang and my empire from him and other cultivators if I must.
A-Qing: that's really strong emps!
Yao: yes.
I would also make it clear that I don't like how he treated Minshan.
And eavesdropped on my Yunping-Dongying project.
Jingyi: that's bad, Diedie. I just realised.
Yao: mn. But Wei Gongzi is my favorite brother-in-law. Don't tell Jiang cheng tho.
Xue yang: they like coming up with ways to tie up their Lan.
A-Qing: oh my goodness.
Yao: well. If you want to put it that way.
Jingyi: let's go Rusong. We got to plan some stuff.
Rusong: right behind you.
A-qing. I'll order an outfit and a few jewelry for you.
A-qing: *blushing*
You don't have to. Rusong.
Rusong: I must give my girlfriend gifts, right.
And especially for an event like this.
A-qing: awww.
Rusong: see you soon. *kisses her on her forehead*
Qin Su: that's our son.
Yao: I know right.
He well skilled.
Qin Su: and those dimples! Huangdi, you have blessed him with your beauty mark.
A-qing: *speechless and weak in the knees*
Mo xuanyu: congratulations.
Su she: you're officially a simp.
Xue yang: this girl was always a simp.
Xue yang: come with us. *grabs her wrist*
A-qing: where xue yang! I don't want to go anywhere with you.
Mo xuanyu: A-qing, trust us. We're going to teach you how to be a proper simp.
Yao gege and Song'er are a superior level of beauty.
Su she: not any one can handle their hotness.
Yao: oh dear.
Team dimple.
Xue yang: Jiggy, you come too!
~~
Later on...
Xue yang: welcome to the simp club, Yuyu.
Mo xuanyu: thank you yangyang.
Xue yang: welcome to the simp club Shanshan.
Su she: thank you, lol.
Xue yang: Jiggy, you just sit on that mobile throne. Cuz you're hot and our special guest.
Mo xuanyu: how are we going to function with our love in our midst.
Su she: we'll get through it.
Xue yang: welcome, A-qing.
A-qing: why the f# you brought me here! In this fierce corpse training ground!
Xue yang: former fierce corpse training ground. Now it's just a woodshed.
The only fancy thing here is Jiggy's throne, lol.
Mo xuanyu: we carry it in certain places. Like if Yao gege wants to watch fierce corpse training or regular training, or swordfighting.
Su she: some kind of prisoner execution.
Xue yang: you know. Those kinds of stuff.
The fox spirits would just wheel it there. Beforehand of course.
A-qing: you pamper emps a lot.
Su she: mhm.
Xue yang: anyways. Welcome to the simp club.
A-qing: I don't want to be a part of your fking simp club!!
Do I look like a simp!
Xue yang: stop being ungrateful!
Mo xuanyu: we're going to teach you how to get A-Song. And show the fox spirit attendees who's Song'er's girlfriend!
Xue yang: do you like him? You two are going to party?
A-qing: non of your business!
Xue yang: I'll make it my business.
Su she: A-qing, I think you should be yourself in front of Song'er. And don't end up like Lan lips.
Mo xuanyu: Song'er and Yao gege are a different level of hot. And they have a secret weapon.
You only can be born with it to wield it.
Su she: it gives the simps nosebleeds in 20 different ways.
A-qing: are you talking about their dimples?!!
Xue yang: smart girl.
Xue yang: Jiggy and Jiggy 2.0 are gorgeous. They don't need a simp class.
All Jiggy has to do is sit, show his dimple and open his fan, for the entire Jianghu to go feral.
If he says kneel, the entire Jianghu will be on their knees.
Yao: well. *opens fan* that's what happens.
I can't help it.
Su she: Huangdi slays! And mini boss Dianxia is following his footsteps.
Mo xuanyu: you got a very powerful guy on your hands.
The second most powerful person in the Jianghu.
Aqing: waw! Well not gonna lie, Rusong is kinda hot.
Xue yang: well don't be shy! Kiss his dimples. They love dimple kisses.
Mo xuanyu: and maybe give him some fried tofu. It pleases hulijings. But it must be gourmet.
A-qing: why?!!
Mo xuanyu: because it's an imperial hulijing you're dealing with. He wants the best.
And one thing, you have to learn some conduct too. Cuz you'll be present in various banquets with him.
A-Qing: I see.
Mo xuanyu: when you see the two Huangdis, you should bow politely and say greetings Huangdi.
A-qing: and what about the one where you can't burp.
Mo xuanyu: lol you can but not loudly.
Xue yang: and take every opportunity to kiss Rusong's dimple.
Su she: try not to curse or make a fuss ok.
My beautiful Huangdi doesn't do those two and see how elegant he is.
A-qing: but that's fking hard. Why can't I fking curse?
Shanshan, tell me about Jiggy and Jiggy 2.0 some more.
Xue yang: Yao-ology will start soon.
Mo xuanyu: Yao gege. Yao Huangdi. *bow*
Yao: *walked to the center of the room*
Xue yang: this is Jiggy.
Mxy and Su she: *blushing* heyyyyy Jigggyyyy...
Xue yang: and you want to woo his super model son.
How dare you!
Mo xuanyu: you got to let him choose you, A-qing.
We could only be hopeless romantics for our immortal looking crush.
A-qing: Jiggy they're turning me into a simp! Can you help.
Yao: if I help you, they might come back to teach you. Better you just listen to what they have to say. *laughing*
A-Yang, what do you need me for?
Su she: this is too mere of a class for Huangdi.
Mo xuanyu: awwww.
That's when you're born flawless.
Xue yang: borrowing you for scientific reasons, Jiggy.
A-Qing: what scientific reason, xue yang! You only want to eat his dimple!
Jiggy, run.
Mo xuanyu: A-qing, this gorgeous guy is Yao gege.
Su she: he's very flawless. And loves being pampered.
Xue yang: and he LOVES being kissed on his dimple.
Mo xuanyu: sometimes I wonder if his dimple is the real emperor.
Xue yang: everyone in the harem respects the dimple.
Su she: everyone fights to kiss his dimples first.
Yao: *awkwardly smiling*
A-qing: omg! What kind of dimple cult is this.
Mo xuanyu: A-qing, that's our belief.
Xue yang: Jiggy is a sweetheart towards the ones he loves.
Su she: and I believe that Song'er is the same.
A-qing: so now how do I seduce Huangdi's supermodel son?
Mo xuanyu: by being cute!
Xue yang: KISS THE DIMPLE!
Su she: kill for him.
Yao: A-qing. Song'er just loves cheerful down to earth people.
You do you.
Trio: professor Jiggy has spoken!!!
A-qing: ok emps! Thanks for the advice!!
Xue yang: would you thank me??
A-qing: no.
Xue yang: A-Qing, I brought you into this world and I can yeet you out!
Mo xuanyu: next lesson! Just don't fight in the woodshed.
You should express your crush through arts.
Like for example, yangyang and I would draw Yao gege.
Xue yang: some are NSFW by the way.
Mo xuanyu: and Shanshan writes. He writes fanfics, or just writes about Yao gege in his journal.
You should do the same with Song'er.
A-qing: that's a good idea.
But I can't read or write.
Maybe i can learn how to sew or draw.
Su she: you do you. It's your expression.
Yao: he's right. However, I'm sorry to hear that you're illiterate. I'll provide the best tutors for you.
I have started a project to teach the illiterate within the empire, but since you're a part of my family, you'll have private tutors.
A-qing: private tutors!!! How fancy, lol.
can they teach me Japanese. Rusong knows Japanese and I want to flirt with him in that language.
Mo xuanyu: omg that's so cute.
Yao: they can teach you anything. They can teach you Korean too.
Mo xuanyu: yea those are compulsory languages for the Meng Fam.
Yao: so that we can interact with others.
A-qing: would Rusong have a problem?
Yao: not at all. He's the sweetest most understanding person. If Song'er was the first one to find out, he would ask me to provide tuition.
A-qing: awww.
Gosh I got an ideal guy. I think I'm living a dream.
Xue yang: should i check by pinching you?
*grinning*
A-qing: *runs off*
Xue yang: weird child.
Xue yang: professor Jiggy, do you have simping tips for us?
Mo xuanyu: *blushing*
Yao: *sits and crosses his legs*
Love me. *opens fan*
Trio: *gasps*
Yao: adore me!
Trio: YAS JIGGYY!!
Yao: pamper me!
Trio: *on their knees* OF COURSE BOSS!! JIGGYYYY!!!!
We'll also do anything for you! And do what you say!
Yao: *stood up* and.
Trio: And! Jiggy?????
Yao: continue worshipping the ground I walk on. *smug look*
Trio: Wooooooo!!!!!! We'll forever do that!!!!
Yao: nice *closes fan*
Let's go team d.
Trio: *stood up*
Mo xuanyu: *wiping his nosebleed*
Su she: *blushing*
Xue yang: I almost got a heart attack.
Yao: *looks over his shoulder* are you guys satisfied with the tips?
Su she: of course!
Mo xuanyu: the best.
Yao: delightful.
~~~~
Later that day, Rusong introduces Ouyang Zizhen to Meng Shi and Qin Su.
He's already familiar with A-Yao.
Rusong: Nainai, A-niang. You remember Ouyang Zizhen, right?
Qin Su: ah yes.
Ouyang Zizhen: *bow* I, clan leader ouyang, greet the hulijing huanghou.
*kisses Qin Su's hand*
And I greet the hulijing taihou.
*does the same with Meng Shi*
Qin Su: nice to meet you, Ouyang Zongzhu.
Meng Shi: how are you.
Ouyang Zizhen: I'm good. Thanks for asking.
Rusong: he wants to be my future concubine, so I let him.
Qin Su: oh, well.
Ouyang Zongzhu, do you know anything about being a concubine?
Ouyang Zizhen: yea Huanghou. My hulijing girlfriends told me all about it.
Qin su: excuse me?
Hulijing girlfriends?
A concubine shouldn't have concubines.
Ouyang Zizhen: yes Huanghou, but they want to be housewives and Furens.
As well as give me children.
Qin Su: well that can work.
Yet you must give all your attention to Song'er while not hurting your exs.
Ouyang Zizhen: of course I will.
We thought of a  plan.
Meng Shi: Zizhen, do you know your duties?
Rusong is a hulijing.
Ouyang Zizhen: yes taihou. All my energy is his.
I'm spellbound by him.
Meng Shi: lovely. Now tell me your hobbies and talents. Have you met Yao Huangdi?
Ouyang Zizhen: yes yes, he knows me well. He's an amazing Huangdi.
I'm good at music and poetry.
Meng Shi: ah, that's perfect for a concubine.
Qin Su: I agree. And My Rusong's preferences are superior.
Ouyang Zizhen: I won't disrespect him. Long live the Mengs.
Meng Shi: you're a true gentleman.
I like you.
Ouyang Zizhen: thank you taihou.
Meng shi: I'm so happy that Song'er is following in A-Yao's footsteps.
He'll have a powerful harem of sect leaders.
The Jianghu will obey him.
Qin Su: definitely. Our Song'er is powerful just like Huangdi.
i will knock you, the untamed, to sir, with love
Thank you Petri! (´。• ᵕ •。`) ♡
I've done To Sir, With Love already
I will knock you
Favourite character: it’s Noey, really. He’s a tiny gangster with a marshmallow heart! He thinks he lives in the 70s (?) and listen to music when he’s sad! He makes little lists of what to do to woo his tutor! He’s annoying yet adorable! He’s the oldest son but the baby brother vibes are impeccable.
Funniest character: it’s Thi, my pathetic little man.
Best-looking character: ok so hm, if I really had to pick I'd say Waewdao (lady in Noey's gang) and also think that Thiw is actually pretty charming.
3 favourite ships: > Noey/Thi, I was a little lukewarm at first (for many reasons but that’s a big age gap where they are in life), but they end up so sweet and the maturity level works > Waewdao/Rayrai. We only got the tiniest crumb but how could I resist a cute girl on a motorbike getting a nerd girlfriend with an attitude?? > Noey/Thiw. They’ve been best friend forever! They cry when they fight, then they cry again when they finally reconcile! They made a gang together and they are ride or die for each other, and while I adore them as best friends, I also think it would be cute.
Least favourite character: Thi’s parents, they can gtfo with their stupid elitism and picking on a 17 years old. Like, I can grasp that you’re not super into your ~22 yo son going out with a high schooler, that’s fair, but people, take it with your son first maybe, then don’t be snobbish assholes about it.
Least favourite ship: Noey/Pam, of course. Also Noey/salt, like please child step away from the shaker, we beg you.
Reason why I watch it: it’s fun and sweet, a little over the top but it’s mostly adorable, and I love a show that sticks to its aesthetic. Plus, of course, it’s SO visually pleasing, and I also like the music.
Why I started watching it: I saw gifs of Thi with wet eyes and Noey grabbing his chin, so paired with Noey’s incredible fashion sense, I had to check.
The Untamed
this one was SO hard dlsmjqkf (ಡ‸ಡ)
Favourite character: After careful consideration, and ignoring my tendency to want to pick the least known characters I love the most just so they can shine a little… It’s Jiang Cheng. It’s the miserable tempest of a man, the Most Little Brother With a Temper, the purple whip with a soft heart, I just. I really love him. Very VERY closely followed by Song Lan, my other tragic favorite, my best man who deserved so much better.
Funniest character: The Junior Quartet is a strong favorite of course (Jingyi and Zizhen especially) BUT I think I will go with Sect Master Yao, he's just such a joke.
Best-looking character: once again, how to chose in a sea of gorgeous people in even more gorgeous robes?! (did I spend 30 min just looking at different pics of the cast? … obviously). Okay, OKAY let’s try to be reasonable! I’d say… Song Lan, Jiang Cheng, Nie Mingjue (that one took my surprise ok), Jiang Yanli, Madame Yu. Can’t do less than a top 5 ;_;
3 favourite ships: Not in order but I guess those are the one I come back to most often so > Song Lan/Xiao Xingchen. They wanted to build a sect together okay?? They wanted to save the world together! Xiao Xingchen broke his vows and offered his eyes for Song Lan, and Song Lan will roam the earth until Xiao Xingchen’s soul is whole again! They are so tragic, and they love each other and man. They own my whole heart. > Every variation of 3zuns. Happy AU, tragic canon versions, two by two or the three of them together. There is so much love and hurt and betrayal in there it’s absolutely fascinating and I could spend hours just like. Thinking about them. > Mianmian/Qin Su. Look, do they interact even for a second on screen? No. Do I think that they would have crossed path bc both are both in the Jin sect and Mianmian could have been Qin Su’s knight in shinning armor when shit goes down? Yyyyeaaaahhhh. This one is tiny but I cherish it a lot.
Least favourite character: unsurprisingly, I have nothing but contempt for Jin Guangshan. Jin Zixun is also quite the little shit.
Least favourite ship: Hu, I’m… not so sure? I am not fond of Xue Yang with any of the Yi City players, mostly (not in a reciprocated, healthy way at least). I think in “canon” there are none I really dislike.
Reason why I watch it: I like the story, and most of all I ended up very attached to all the characters. I find it beautiful to watch, it emotionally works on me super well, and here too I just love the music.
Why I started watching it: I got taken in by the beautiful robes and long hair, as well as the promise of Wangxian. I am, when it comes down to it, an easily swayed watcher lol
How do you feel about this idea?:
Lan Sizhui comes back to Cloud Reacess with Wen Ning after they gave their regards to their dead family, but they also stayed enough for WN to teach him about the life that was stolen from them.
It was not on purpose or with vile intent, WN just explained buildings he knew, narrated memories with his family in each place he reconized, talked about the boy biological parents (telling how much they were happy to have him and loved him so much before he was even born), explained some customs they had within the family (sharing with the whole family on dinner, laught at gossip with the friendly elders while drinking, and some other things that were just so different from gusu).
So when Lan Sizhui comes back, he informs that when the surname is cleared, he will change his name to Wen Sizhui.
How do you think everyone would react?
Thanks for the ask!
I think Wei Wuxian, Lan Wangji, and obviously Wen Ning would be supportive. Wen is his real (or first real I guess you could say) surname, and if he wants to openly acknowledge his blood family, then they would be supportive all the way. The Lan surname isn’t what makes him their son, it’s the love they have for him.
It’s hard to say how the rest of the Lan Sect would react. Sizhui becoming a Lan wasn’t something that was allowed from the jump, it took a little bit of time before he was given the Lan name. I can see some of the older Lan disciples, those who maybe lost people in the war, and some of the elders who were injured by Lan Wangji being upset, but in the end what they think isn’t important. It is possible that the people that went with Lan Qiren to siege the Burial Mounds could try to hurt Sizhui, but he has his friends, fathers, and uncle there so they’d be fine.
I think that even if the Wen name is cleared, Jiang Cheng would still try something. That’s okay though cause we’d get to see him get curb stomped by Wei Wuxian and if he’s feeling a little bit spiteful Sizhui can spit on his corpse.
For the rest of the sects, I can see some people rumor mongering, some people might say that Sizhui is the biological son of Wen Qing and Wei Wuxian, that sort of thing. Maybe a few people trying to kill him due to hatred even with the name cleared. But, again, he has the best cultivators of a generation as his fathers so I’d like to see them get even within a hundred miles of him.
I think Jingyi, Zizhen, and Jin Ling would all be supportive. They are far more open minded and willing to learn and accept things, so their friend taking back his surname would probably end up in a celebration. I can see Sizhui talking about what he’s learned with them over lunch or dinner or maybe during a night-hunt.
MDZS Story Plot Rant
This is an rant for an story idea that I needed to get out of my head so I can focus on finishing some assignments for school. I don’t know why but, I have this thing where my brain just imagine an whole damn storyline which make me lose focus... And I already have the attention span of a turtle..
Here we go, the base of the story involves the junior trio minus Sizhui (There a reason for that) were sent to the past right when the Wens were about to launch an attack on Lotus Pier. Well, they aren’t exactly juniors since they are much older like in their twenties or mid-twenties but, I’m going to just call them the junior trio.
Okay, back to the story they suddenly show up in the middle of Yumeng and see the Wens army coming that they hurry and head to Lotus Pier to warn the Jiangs. The Jiangs along with the juniors don’t even have time to question anything about each other since they are trying to escape alive. Luckily the junior manage to do some quick thinking and Madam Yu is able to survive. (She and her husband deserve some redemption.)
Don’t fully have a idea how the juniors were sent to the past but my brain decided that it got to do with some god or goddess using their power or ability to sent them to the past at the cost of the god or goddess getting punished by the heavens. (My brain is weird...) But, in my brain they only find out later in the story plot when the god or goddess shows up. Anyways the reason that the god or goddess sent them to the past was that the history was bound to repeat itself.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Buckle up, because my brain comes up with weird story plot.
Okay, so in the future like a couple of years after the truth was found out about Jin Guangyao, it appear peaceful on the outside but on the inside the cultivation world is still unstable. Since LanlingJin clan reputation is stain with the revelation of what happen with the Wens and all the dirty laundry of the previous sect leaders. Like they are still rich and powerful but many small sects find the Jins to be unworthy of being so powerful. (Honestly don’t fully have an idea on sect politics) Basically greedy and selfish cultivators jealous and wanting more power for themselves. (cough Jin Guangshan cough)
Anyway, the juniors have become adults and are trying to navigate a world full of political intrigue among clans. They also become sworn brothers after a few years of knowing each, unaware of the trouble that was coming their way. As they were growing up they had been trying not to repeat the mistakes of the past generation along with healing from generation trauma... which they don’t exactly achieve... either one...
Honestly I feel bad my brain decided to give these children their own set of generation trauma.
Back to the point, Jin Ling had to handle being sect leader at such a young age and has to deal with corrupt officials and not getting the proper respect as sect leader. Also, dealing with the whispers of insults about his family name and all the sins his uncle and grandfather committed. Through all that Jin Ling has been trying to fix all damage his clan has cause. Which isn’t exactly easy since they all associated him to being like his uncle. (The poor boy also experience way to many people trying to murder him in his early years as sect leader, that he’s a little paranoid) Luckily he has his uncles to support him, and my brain decided this needed some Zhuling. So, Jin Ling and Sizhui had developed feelings for a while and are sort of dating but have to keep it as a secret or shit hits the fan.
Oh funny thing, my brain decide to make the decision of making Jingyi the biological son of Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng. Don’t know how but something along the line of them sharing the same ying and yang that somehow made Jiang Cheng have Jingyi. (Sometime I question my brain decisions...) In my story, they ended sleep together around the time that the sunshot campaign was over or maybe after Wei Wuxian death. I don’t know but, in my story scenarios they had developed feelings for each other but kind got off the wrong start. Consume by alcohol or need for comfort brought them together but due to misunderstanding made them go their separate ways. My brain haven’t fully thought out the whole thing.
Poor Jingyi though, since Lan Xichen and Jiang Cheng weren’t exactly perfect parents. When Jiang Cheng found out he was pregnant, he and Xichen decided to let Jingyi grow up in Gusu. And growing up Jingyi barely had any contact with his parents. Only being giving gifts on his birthday and brief visits by the sect leaders on those days. Even Jingyi always had to properly speak to them that he never called them his dads as a child. Not only that but he had to listen to the whispers of calling him a bastard son of two sect leaders who did not love each other. But, growing up he was more outgoing and behave differently that no one associated him with the two sect leaders given the different personality. He also grew distant with them and made excuses when they tried to talk to him. In my storyline, Jiang Cheng and Lan Xichen do love their son but don’t really know how to express it unlike how they do with their nephews. (I imagine that their past selves feeling really guilty at seeing Jingyi acting cold towards them.)
Anyways, Jingyi does feel some envy at Jing ling but bottle those emotions to the side seeing how Jin Ling had suffer through a lot. Jin Ling had confronted Jingyi about being cousins but, Jingyi would say they are but Jiang Cheng basically left him in Gusu so he is just Lan Jingyi, an disciple of Gusu clan. My brain decided that their relationship is sort of like Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian. They feel this bond of family but, at the same time Jingyi had to deal with the occasion jabs of Jing ling greatness as sect leader and the attention he gets. While, Jingyi had to listen to subtle insults of the elders on his legitimate right as sect heir and how he was abandon by his fathers as one wallow in grief while the other attend to his nephew. And in a way growing up he becomes really attached to Lan Zhan and Sizhui who are basically like family to him.
Zizhen also has to deal with the pressure of his father about getting ready to become sect leader in a few more years. He finds out that his father was involve in the encampment of the Wens and the extreme treatment that occur there. He tried to confront his old man, who denied and tried to say that the Wens deserve it. Later on, Zizhen’s mother gets brutally murder as retaliation from far-distant relatives of the murdered Wens that managed to somehow survived or had left the Wen sect before the war. Or from people wanting to avenge the atrocities that Zizhen’s father committed. Since that man was not completely innocent since he support Jin Guangshan. (Oh his past self is going to suffer from so much guilt for causing his son so much pain) Anyways Zizhen’s father basically wallows in guilt over his wife death and Zizhen force to become sect leader. He becomes the second youngest sect leader after Jin Ling.
So, Zizhen is fill with rage at his mother’s brutal death that he take revenge which ends in a brutal manner. And has to deal with the amount of acts his father committed after the war. Now, Zizhen’s hands are cover in blood that Zizhen basically abandon the one of the things that brought him happiness which was writing. And he feels that he had done nothing but repeat the same actions that his ancestors had done. Oh, and he becomes more cold towards others in order to get them to respect him and can barely stand staying in the same room with his father.
Sizhui has to deal with learning about his Wen heritage and the heavy burden on being one of the last survivor. I imagine he deals with guilt and has to listen to the whispers related to the Wens. But, still manage to smile through the whole ordeal. (I guess he’s the one who trauma happen mostly in his childhood.) He does have to deal with the expectations of being Lan Zhan’s adopted son and prodigy.
Anyways, the juniors had their own burdens throughout the years but were still sworn brothers until a tragedy occur a few years before they were sent to the past.
Haven’t fully thought it out but, I imagine that it involve a siege or a coup or maybe like an attempt at war again. Personally I feel like the clans probably never learn since they always fear each other or don’t like when one clan starts to grow more stronger.
But, during this event Sizhui ends up dying. (I swear I love my child, but it was necessary for my storyline) One of the scenario, is Jin Ling being responsible for the death of Sizhui, like he accidently ends up killing him because he corrupt by resentment energy or something. The potential angst for this since it remind me of what happen to Yanli. (similar parallel between Jiang Cheng and Wei Wuxian..) But, Jin Ling doesn’t died and has to live with the guilt. And Jingyi grows to hate Jin Ling and tries to fight him before he face punishment by the Lan elders for attacking a sect leader. While, the Lan elders are upset over the death of Sizhui, they aren’t willing to ruin relationship with the Jins and cause another fight.
A scenario of mine, is that Jingyi has to endure the disciple whips like Lan Zhan. Lan Zhan object to the punishment but, Jingyi tells him that it is necessary since the Lan elders would place blame on Wei Wuxian over Sizhui’s death.(The Lan Elders are petty a-holes) Given that resentment energy was involve, Jingyi doesn’t want Wei Wuxian to suffer anymore after losing his son once again. I imagine he kowtow to lan zhan and beg him to let him do this as Lan Zhan, Sizhui, and Wei Wuxian had treated him with kindness.
He ends up getting like he get fifteen strikes on his back since he fought a sect leader but also refuses to acknowledge his mistake. Further enrage the Lan elders, who wanted a more stronger punishment but Lan Zhan refuses. After the last strike, he ends up in the clinic as he’s getting treated.
Lan Xichen temporarily left seclusion after hearing what happen to his nephew and son. However, Jingyi refuses to acknowledge him as a concern parent and only as sect leader. Xichen would remain from a distance and would leave the clinic to visit his brother and his brother-in-law.
Wei Wuxian and Lan Zhan would visit Jingyi at the clinic, causing Jingyi to hug Wei Wuxian as he beg for forgiveness for Sizhui’s death.
Even through tears Wei Wuxian comfort Jingyi and tell him it wasn’t his fault. However, scold him for accepting such a punishment.
Another scenario is Jin Ling grieving over the death of his lover and the guilt that he isolate himself for a few days. That even his uncle was unable to visit him, until Zizhen forcefully manage to enter and see Jin Ling. Even through his grief of losing his sworn brother, Zizhen had to knock some sense into Jin Ling given the political instability among the clans. Jin Ling knowing Zizhen is right, force himself to return back to his position and try to fix the politically instability among the clans.
Haven’t though more on the storyline but, I imagine the god or goddess decided to sent the juniors back in time with some sort of requirement in hopes that the past generation realized the trauma they past down to the future generation. They would have to deal with the war and at the same time tried to connect with the juniors and bond with them in order for them to heal their souls. While, the juniors deal with changing the past to ensure that no one dies.
Another thought involving this storyline was that in the end, the juniors from the future would disappear since the past has change so much. And it this sort of bittersweet but happy ending since the Juniors from the future would disappear from the timeline but at the same time they have some comfort knowing that they would not have to experience any of the suffering and they will always become sworn brothers in this new timeline. Along with helping ensure everyone could be happy in this new timeline. I imagine in one of my scenario that before they disappear, the people of the past see this vision of like Jiang Cheng, Lan Xichen, Wei Wuxian, Lan Zhan, Wen Ning and Sizhui waiting for the juniors. And like Sizhui is waving at them with his gentle smile as the juniors rush towards him. And then it changes to them when they were still teenagers and had big smiles before they disappear completely.
Happy Pride!!!! Living Blood or Lady Mo please!
Xuanyu disrobes unashamedly, hesitating only at the last second with the sleeve covering her left arm.
Jiang Yanli laughs. “Bit late to be modest, I think.”
“Modesty is overrated,” she returns, which is something that Zixuan would say and A-Yao would think. She slips the rest of the robes off and steps into the steaming bath, letting out a deep sigh of satisfaction.
The changes her body has undergone are even more obvious without the thick layers of the robes obscuring her form. The extra weight seems to have settled in ideal places, not only thickening her waist and limbs but settling heavily along her hips and breasts, which hadn’t exactly been small to begin with.
She sits behind Xuanyu, filling a bowl with water and then pouring it over her hair to rinse it of blood and dirt that had been hidden by her dark hair. Acting as a bathing assistant is far below her station, but Xuanyu had sent all the servants away and she doesn’t mind, really. Xuanyu is her sister, likely the only one she’ll ever have considering A-Cheng’s track record with matchmakers, and she’s been worried about her. This gives them time to speak alone. “How has your marriage with Lan Wangji been? Has he been kind?”
Xuanyu pulls a face, which isn’t encouraging. “I guess. He mostly left me alone, and then we had a couple fights and he was a jerk, and now I think he’s trying to make up for being a jerk, but it’s a little – well, it’s nice that he’s making an effort. I suppose.”
Not as good as she’d hoped, but not as bad as she’d feared. “Sect Leader Lan seems fond of you.”
“Oh, Lan Xichen is great,” she says easily. Better than reaction to Lan Wangji, but still not what Jiang Yanli had been hoping for. Then her eyes light up. “Sizhui is wonderful! I’ll give Wangji one thing, he’s raised a good kid. He’s so sweet, and a great cultivator, and he’s always trying to help out everyone around him. I’m glad Jingyi’s always hanging around – without him, I think everyone would just take advantage of Sizhui’s good nature.”
Well, that’s something. Surely Lan Wangji can’t resist Xuanyu’s charms for long, not when she dotes on his son and gets along with his brother.
“What trouble did you get into on the road?” she asks, running her hand over the wound on Xuanyu’s shoulder. It looks nearly fully healed already and there’s another mostly healed wound on her hip, a thin slice on her left arm, and the shadow of various bruises that were likely much worse a couple hours ago. It’s of course a good thing that Xuanyu has a strong golden core, but Jiang Yanli can’t help a moment of wistfulness.
Her own core never lived up to her mother’s expectations, or her own. If she’d had a stronger core, she could have given A-Ling siblings. A child should have siblings. She would have had a calmer childhood without two little brothers underfoot, but a lonelier one too.
Xuanyu shrugs, lazily scrubbing herself down. “Looks like Xiao Xingchen picked up the girl, A-Qing, while he and Song Lan were separated and was trapped in this place that was basically a ghost town.” How could he be trapped by a place that had no people? “And I’d heard some rumors so when we ran into Song Lan I helped him find Xiao Xingchen, but there was a bit of a fight with someone who didn’t want him to leave. I just happened to get caught in the crossfire, so to speak.”
She’s stretching the truth to outright lying. Before Jiang Yanli can call her on it, her stomach growls.
“Didn’t get a chance to eat on the road?” she teases.
Xuanyu flushes, ducking briefly beneath the water to hide her flaming cheeks before resurfacing. “Things were a little hectic. It may have slipped my mind.”
How has she managed to put on weight while also forgetting to eat? Perhaps Lan Wangji deserves more credit.
“I think I have some candies in my room, if you want something before the banquet,” she offers. “I know the speeches take forever.”
Her eyes light up before dimming and she slumps in the bath. “Thanks, Yanli-jie, but I better not. Sizhui gave me some on the road and I usually love them but just putting it in my mouth almost made me sick. It was awful. And weird! They’re my favorite.”
Jiang Yanli blinks then gives Xuanyu’s significantly larger chest a considering look. It could be nothing. It’s probably nothing. She hasn’t even been married a year and it doesn’t sound as if she and Lan Wangji have been seeing eye to eye.
Then again, the same could have been said about her and Zixuan.
“Can I ask you something personal, Meimei?”
Xuanyu nods. “You can ask me anything, Yanli-jie.”
“Are you and Lan Wangji having sex?”
She turns bright red and ducks beneath the water for so long that Jiang Yanli is starting to get concerned before she resurfaces, still red faced. “Um. We did once. Well – I guess, technically, it was three times, but it was only one night.”
Well. Apparently Lan Wangji has stamina on and off the battlefield.
“One moment,” she says, briefly squeezing Xuanyu’s shoulder. “I’ll be right back.”
It takes one whispered conversation with the servant outside the hall and approximately ninety seconds before her personal healer is standing in front of her. Jiang Yanli ducks back inside to see Xuanyu out of the bath, in a thin bathing robe that’s clinging to her as she wrings her hair out. “I’d like my healer to take a look at you, Meimei.”
Xuanyu freezes, slowly standing straight with a wary look on her face. “That’s really not necessary. The wounds were just superficial and they’re basically healed already.”
“It’ll be quick,” she says, because if she’s right then she can’t let Xuanyu go down to the banquet without letting her know. “She’s very discreet – she’s been my personal healer since I was a child.”
“Jiang Xingyi?” Xuanyu asks, some of her tension draining away.
Jiang Yanli nods, trying to think of some reason that Xuanyu would know her healer’s name, or her reputation, but all the servants are terrible gossips and her health is a frequent topic of derision. “Just your wrist, okay? Your golden core has changed a lot. I just want her to take a look.”
She feels bad about lying, but Xuanyu had lied to her first.
Xuanyu relaxes even further. “Okay, Yanli-jie. If it’ll make you feel better.”
“Thank you,” she smiles, then opens the door to usher Jiang Xingyi in.
The old woman doesn’t smile, but Xuanyu grins back undeterred, and says, “Hi, Granny,” before paling and adding, “uh, um. Sorry.”
Jiang Yanli feels a familiar pang of grief go through her. A-Xian had referred to Jiang Xingyi as Granny, the only disciple both bold and beloved enough to get away with it.
Jiang Xingyi ignores her, instead reaching for her wrist and pressing her fingers against it. Xuanyu fidgets, shifting from one foot to the other, but says nothing as the moments stack on top of one another.
Finally, Jiang Xingyi drops her wrist and steps back. Her stern visage breaks, a smile stretching her mouth across her face. “Congratulations, Madame Lan.”
She knew it!
“Thanks,” Xuanyu answers before wrinkling her nose. “Um. For what?”
“You are expecting,” she answers. “At least a couple months along, I believe, although I’d have to do a more thorough examination to be sure.”
Jiang Yanli moves to embrace her, but Xuanyu’s face drops and she turns dangerously pale. “What? No. That’s not possible. I can’t be.”
“Three times,” Jiang Yanli reminds her, trying to goad Xuanyu into laughter.
But instead she just shakes her head. “No, no I can’t, I – this can’t be happening,” she whispers to herself, grabbing her own arms in a white knuckled grip. “It’s not. It’s impossible. I can’t be.”
She’s young, and this wasn’t a marriage of her own choosing, and it’s so new. Of course she’s surprised and nervous. Jiang Yanli touches her elbow, intending to say something soothing, but Xuanyu collapses into her arms, gripping her waist and hiding her tears in her shoulder.
“Xuanyu!” she says, hugging her back just as fiercely, her heart breaking for the younger girl’s anguish. “Meimei, it’s okay, I know this is scary, but it’s going to be fine.”
“It’s not,” she says, voice thick with tears, “A-jie, this is awful, this is – it can’t happen! It can’t, Wangji is going to be so mad, he’s going to hate me, and everything is ruined and awful, I can’t be – I can’t! I’m going to die!”
Jiang Yanli’s whole body goes cold and she grips Xuanyu even tighter against her. “You’re going to be fine,” she says, pushing her conviction into every syllable.
No matter what Jiang Yanli has to do, Xuanyu is going to be fine.
[PODFIC] The One-Body Problem by Gwogobo
The good news is that Lan Jingyi has found a mentor, friend, and constant companion through the difficulties in life.
The bad news is that that’s because he’s been accidentally possessed by the Yiling Patriarch.
[PODFIC] Lynchpin by Gwogobo
He can’t get Jin Guangyao’s words out of his head.
If he’d only believed in Wei Wuxian, if he’d only been willing to stand up for him, could it all have been avoided?
[PODFIC] In Your Room, In Your Bed by Gwogobo
After Wei Ying is disowned, Yu Ziyuan forbids Jiang Cheng from letting Wei Ying live with him. Jiang Cheng lets him stay anyway because Fuck That. He tells his parents Lan Zhan is his new roommate instead.
OMG, they were fake roommates.
[Podfic] Drowning in the Sun by flamingwell
He was vengeance, he was hatred. He was the last sons of Lotus Pier, combined.
A fill for a kinkmeme prompt: Golden Core transfer, but Jiang Cheng's aware.
[Podfic] his heart an open wound by flamingwell, jellyfishfire
It's Sizhui who brings it to Lan Wangji's attention, his words so careful and apologetic that at first, Lan Wangji wonders what his son could possibly have done to be so apprehensive.
[Podfic of] the necromancer's fairytale by exmanhater
The Prince of Gusu is kidnapped for ransom. He’s saved by a nightmare made flesh.
The Same Moon Shines [Podfic - Cold Read] by kisahawklin, sami
"Zewu-Jun. You once told me about a house surrounded by gentians, where you visited once a month, and how Lan Zhan still waited there, even when the door no longer opened."
Xichen feels light-headed. He feels shocked, and angry. He has never told anyone such a thing, but Lan Zhan is giving Xichen a look of utter betrayal.
"You told him?" Lan Zhan whispers. "When?"
Wei Wuxian takes Lan Zhan's hand. "About twenty years from now."
a yiling laozu who lived [PODFIC] by exmanhater, isweedan, miss_marina95, Opalsong, RevolutionaryJo, Rhea314 (Rhea)
The ancient and powerful villain may have had a calm and gentle face as he spoke, but he was furious, not at the hero, but the gods for continually sending kids and teenagers to fight their battles.
[Podfic of] Covered in Bees by exmanhater
“Cloud Reccesses Apiary,” says a toneless, deep masculine voice, with zero question in it. Wei Ying doesn’t care, because whoever possesses that voice is probably going to come save him from bees like a fucking hero while wearing like, a suit of armor. That’s what you wear to catch bees, right?
“I have like, so many bees outside my front door right now,” he says, mouth running out ahead of him before he can even begin to think about reining it in. “It’s like a sandstorm of bees out there. There are so many bees. I got out of my car and there were just bees and I don’t want these bees. Do you want these bees? Please tell me you will come get these bees. I can’t leave my house and I have enough food for maybe a week but then I’m gonna have to learn how to cook dry beans and no one wants that, especially not me.” Wei Ying runs out of air, takes a breath, and belatedly adds, “My name is Wei Ying. Hi.”
Or: The beekeeping AU that no one asked for.
[Podfic of] this moonlit heart is home by exmanhater
The thing was, Wei Ying wasn't always chaos in feline form. Most of the time he was a perfectly normal human, or at least, as normal as a werecat could be. As normal as anyone could be if they were forced to spend three nights every lunar month in a cat-shaped body.
And besides, it wasn't as though Wei Ying wanted to be a part time cat. He didn't. The moon nights were an inconvenience to be endured, and the rest of the time, he was as human as possible and that was that as far as he was concerned.
Meeting Lan Zhan in cat form was entirely accidental.
Ghosts Shouldn't by ShanaStoryteller [Podfic] by Rhea314 (Rhea)
Wei Wuxian's spirit lingers.
[Podfic] Live from New York by jellyfishfire
Wei Ying lets out a long, ugly groan. “I am fine, Lan Zhan. Everybody is overreacting, it’s so embarrassing for all of you.”
“You had undiagnosed pneumonia, which you walked around with for weeks until you passed out during dress,” Lan Wangji corrects him. “It got a big laugh, until everyone thought you were dead.”
He keeps his voice even and does not tell Wei Ying that it had been Lan Wangji who caught him, who called the ambulance, and who rode with him to the hospital, where he was yelled at by nurses who wanted to know why he hadn’t noticed that Wei Ying couldn’t stop shivering or string proper sentences together.
“Rumors of my demise have been vastly overstated,” Wei Ying says. “Anyway, I’m already feeling much better. Basically fine. Really almost completely back to normal, so stop babying me and tell me why the fuck you let your stupid brother hire the worst man in the world to host our show.”
OR: the one where they all work at SNL, Yanli's ex-boyfriend is hosting, and that's just the beginning of everybody's problems.
[Podfic] Cold read of Battle Chefs by kisahawklin
in the arms of the angel [PODFIC] by read by Khashana (Khashana), ScarlettStorm
So there was this jar, and it had so much peanut butter still in it, and when his fox nose scented it and didn’t catch any poison or spoilage, what was he supposed to do? Not avail himself of this gift? No. He shoved his delicate little snout right in there and got to licking, but, you know… Elegantly. Definitely not snarfing and making horrible little fox sounds and rolling around on the ground while he went ham on the jar. Sure, he had to work a little bit to get at the last of it, but anything good is worth working for, right? So finally, triumphant, no longer starving, and maybe a little thirsty now from eating half a cup of peanut butter in about two minutes, he’d tried to remove his head from the jar.
Operative word tried.
Or: Wei Ying gets stuck. Lan Zhan helps.
[Podfic of] save a sword, ride a socialist by exmanhater
In which Lan Qiren and Jin Guangshan are conspicuously terrible, Lan Wangji decides to fake-date Wei Wuxian about it, and literally no braincells are consulted.
through a window softly by impossibletruths [podfic] by Rhea314 (Rhea)
Wei Wuxian plays the flute. Someone in Wei Wuxian's apartment complex plays violin. Sometimes, they play the flute and the violin together, and it's... nice. It's really nice. It's sort of the nicest thing going on in his life right now, honestly.
It's like the poets say: Music is love in search of a word.
misunderstood 'verse by sysrae [podfic] by andreannaness (andreanna)
Lan Wangji has known Wei Ying for a fortnight, the first time he sees him get hit by a car.
[Podfic] speeding up my heartbeat by plonk by inkjunket
The guy is so stupid hot that Wei Ying doesn’t turn away in time. He can’t be absolutely sure, but he thinks the guy sees him sort of turned towards him. Not as bad as being caught outright staring at someone on the subway, except that it’s actually probably worse, because they’re in the cultivation gym’s locker room.
Wearing Down Every Bone [Podfic] by Rionaa
“Sizhui, tell me,” Wei Wuxian says. “Does this feel... familiar to you?”
or
After running into Lan Zhan on a night hunt, Wei Wuxian is cursed to live the same day over and over and over.
[Podfic] One Good Thing by jellyfishfire
Wei Wuxian has been haunting his childhood home for three years. He's perfected the fine art of scaring away all the tenants, and has grown used to living with the dying flowers in the garden as his only company.
When Lan Wangji buys the house, Wei Wuxian fully intends to drive him off too. Except Lan Wangji is beautiful, and interesting, and captivating company - even if he supposedly doesn't know Wei Wuxian exists.
These Things Stay the Same [Podfic] by Rionaa
After a career covering news across the world, journalist Wei Wuxian is unexpectedly on his way home with a child in tow. Unfortunately, the path home isn't without obstacles.
[Podfic] Wireless by semperfiona_podfic (semperfiona)
The Jiang Sect was famous for its marvelous creations. Lan Wangji is just as enthralled as everyone else until he gets a closer look.
It's Sizhui who brings it to Lan Wangji's attention, his words so careful and apologetic that at first, Lan Wangji wonders what his son could possibly have done to be so apprehensive.
[Podfic] Cold read of you by kisahawklin for sami
After Wei Wuxian's death, Lan Wangji finds himself trapped in a loop, living the same week over and over again, struggling to save the man he loves.
[Podfic] I feel like I win when I lose by sisi_rambles
Wei Ying is at his first Grand Final, rated fifth in the solo cultivator rankings, with the Qishan and Lanling silver medals tucked away in his sock drawer, and he’s about to walk into the arena for a match that everyone knows he’s going to lose.
A modern competitive cultivation AU.
In The Dark Right Now [podfic] by someplacelikebolivia
What used to be a wide open cave mouth, propped up with stalactites and mites, has collapsed, leaving a wall of uneven rock. Caving is always a danger, but they’d thought this cave was pretty safe for their study of bat behaviours. The colony living in it is stable, had been here for at least fifty years, and of course the cave has been here for millennia. Nothing going wrong for so long and then a bunch of rocks falling? It’s just his luck, really.
[PODFIC] By Any Other Name by sakizar
Wei Wuxian wakes up in Mo Xuanyu's body and heads straight for Lotus Pier. Wu Yingtai is the newest member of the Jiang Clan and rumored to be the future wife of Jiang Wanyin.
Lan Wangji is not in love with her.
anyway, here's wuji [PODFIC] by Opalsong
The melody gets a little clearer when he breaks out of the trees, and Jingyi changes course with certainty, barreling down the back hill and through the Cloud Recesses, dodging scandalized disciples left and right. He throws open the doors to the Receiving Hall without announcement and bows nearly double, eyes on the floor instead of on the shocked faces of the Mei delegation and the impenetrable gaze of the Chief Cultivator.
"Forgive this disciple," Jingyi shouts, because he's going to get punished for rule breaking regardless. "From the back hill, Hanguang-jun, there is a song in the wind!"
Jueying has the same initials as big bro Jingyi, and is 50x more chaotic. I imagine if she'd been in wwx+lwj generation, the only person who'd broken more rules than her would be wwx, but I might just be exaggerating.
"Shameless!" Lan Qiren barks, throwing a scroll at Wei Wuxian's head. "How can you say that lingli and resentment are the same? To think that I should have lived to hear such words from the dashixiong of Yunmeng Jiang!"
Wei Wuxian leans backwards, missing the scroll by a hairsbreadth as it flies over his shoulder and hits Nie Huaisang full in the face. “But Laoshi!” he yelps, leaping into the aisle between his seat and Jiang Cheng’s as Lan-laoshi grabs another scroll. “Lingli is energy, and resentment is energy. I’ve dissected walking corpses with our sect’s Pan-yishi, and we found out that resentment moves through human meridians just like—”
Lan Qiren lifts the second scroll, looking more incensed than ever; but before it can leave his hand, a crash and a scream echo in the white-pebbled courtyard outside the Lanshi, followed by a girl’s raucous shriek of laughter and a tremendous bang that makes Lan-laoshi blanch.
“Wangji,” he says, sounding deceptively calm. “Nephew. Go outside, see what the matter is, and tell me that Jueying did not light another firework on the roof of the Yashi.”
Lan Zhan rises and goes to the door, peering out into the courtyard with the resigned air of a monk who had caught his novices gambling when they were meant to be making blessing talismans.
“Dishonesty is forbidden, Shufu,” Lan Zhan says at last. At the front of the room, Lan Qiren puts his head in his hands. “But it was not another firework. Another six is likely nearer the mark.”
“Nie-xiong, who are they talking about?” Wei Wuxian whispers, sidling back to his desk. “That sounded like a guniang’s personal name. Do you know who Jueying is?”
Unexpectedly, Nie-xiong laughs.
“You know my Da-ge and Lan Xichen are married, don’t you?”
Somehow, Wei Wuxian had managed to forget that fact, for the current Lan-zongzhu’s elder son is much older than Lan Zhan, just as Nie-zongzhu is more than twice Nie Huaisang’s age.
“Well, I remember now,” he nods. “But who’s this Jueying-guniang, then?”
“My niece. Da-ge and Xichen-gege have two children—Jingyi-didi was born when Wangji and I were three, and Jueying came along two years later. She’s nearly thirteen now, and according to Laoshi—” and here Wei Wuxian hears another great crash from the courtyard, followed by the deafening whoop of a dozen fireworks going off at once, “—she’s responsible for half the gray hairs on his head.”
“Jueying!” Lan Qiren screeches, now tearing down the stony path outside the Lanshi. “Come down from the roof before you break your neck!”
“I won’t!” a young girl’s voice says defiantly. “Shugong, if I come down, you’re just going to catch me and send me back to the Baoshi again!”
“Of course I am! The point of punishments is that you do not like them,” Lan Qiren shoots back. “Now come down before I count five and go back to finish the laundry, or I will send your shushu up to get you!”
“Which one of you is Shushu?” Wei Wuxian wonders, before snorting as Lan Zhan rolls up his sleeves and marches out of the Lanshi like a soldier going to war. “Ah, looks like Shufu is Lan Zhan. What do they call you?”
“Technically, I’m Shushu,” Huaisang grins. “A-Yi and A-Ying call Wangji-xiong shufu most of the time. But I encourage them at every turn, so Laoshi won’t make me lift a finger to stop them when they misbehave.”
In the end, it takes Lan Zhan nearly half an hour to catch his recalcitrant niece; and after Lan Jueying has been safely bundled off the roof, one of the Nie disciples volunteers to escort her back to the Cloud Recesses’ nursery.
“Ying’er has her punishments there,” Nie Huaisang explains, when Wei Wuxian asks why a thirteen-year-old would be studying in the Baoshi. “When she misbehaves, she has to do laundry for the babies.”
“Poor xiao-guniang!” Wei Wuxian sighs, recalling similar punishments at Lotus Pier. “If she’s being punished, I’ll give her the all-purpose laundry talisman I invented last year. She’s still young, and even if she doesn’t listen to Lan-laoshi, she should be out playing in the sun instead of washing clothes.”
Nie Huaisang nods approvingly.
“She loves everyone who helps her skip her punishments,” he says conspiratorially. “If you want to make friends with Wangji-xiong, the quickest way would be to make friends with her.”
The back of Wei Wuxian’s neck starts to burn.
“Do you really think so?” he asks, fighting back the urge to check his brow for fever. “He must care for his zhinu and zhizi very dearly, mustn’t he?”
“En, he does. Both of the little ones drive him mad, but he worships the ground they walk on.”
Somehow, the thought of a younger Lan Zhan watching over two little children makes Wei Wuxian’s throat ache.
He does not dare to think on the matter too long—at least not now, not when Lan Zhan has yet to say a friendly word to him. But if he were to see such a sight tomorrow, then perhaps—!
“Go visit the Baoshi tomorrow,” Huaisang advises him. “Ying’er will be there, and you can meet Jingyi. He’s not so much younger than we are, you know. You two can be good friends, and then you’ll surely be able to get along with Wangji.”
Wei Wuxian inclines his head, feeling strangely bashful at the prospect.
“All right, then,” he says, speaking to the fallen scroll abandoned near his knee. “I will.”
The Path Less Traveled, by Moonanstars
Wei Wuxian hadn’t been back to Lotus Pier since…well since a lot of things…
Even though there was this tentative peace between himself and Jiang Cheng neither one of them was good at reaching out to try to fix things so both sides had somehow managed to avoid anything other than the most business-like of meetings if they happened to cross paths.
That might be why on the way to Lotus Pier for a meeting and he saw the tiny, overgrown path full of brambles and the merest hint of a worn path in the grass heading into the vegetation, Wei Wuxian paused and looked at it thoughtfully.
Talking is Better than Silence, by KuroiWrites (blackcatkuroi)
"This path harms the body. Harms the nature of one's heart even more." Lan WangJi spoke those words upon first seeing Wei Wuxian alive after the Burial Mounds, unknowing of the truth.
Wei Wuxian, though, didn't need to be told, and he accepted that he'd lost whatever he might have once had with Lan WangJi. Several nights later, in a moment of drunken weakness under the melancholic light of a full moon, he tells Lan WangJi the Truth. He'd never needed Lan WangJi to spell out his fate for him - he'd known since he walked out of the Burial Mounds alive.
But one small bit of honesty can go a long way, and Talking is far better than Silence.
“You know,” Wei Wuxian started again after the pain subsided a tiny amount, “if I had my old body, I could've had intestines falling out of my gut and I’d still be able to fight for a few more hours.”
