Denethor ii didn’t get a proper burial, nor a grave, instead just marked the charred wood and palantir that held his final moments in his pale hands. Faramir after learning of his actions, slowly forgives him for his actions , despite what he’d done, he knows his father was drowned by madness and the power of the palantir

My Brain: do you think there's any ship fic for Treebeard/The White Tree of Gondor?
me: it would be sad if there wasn't
Brain: yeah
Brain: what if treebeard was trans and an entwife and lesbian but he didn't vibe with orchards and gardens so he wandered off into the deep woods and got distracted with squirrels and stuff then later the other ents were like Oh Noooo We've Lost The Ent Wives! :( and treebeard was like Oh Nooo I Love Entwives How Could This Have Happened??? :( completely forgetting his life before getting lost in the fangorn sauce and the other ents were like It's Ok Treebeard I'm Sure We'll Find The Entwives Someday :( :( bc they too also all forgot he was one after seeing that super-duper cool acorn last week
me: hee hee acorns~

One day I’ll be over knowing more generations of that tree than we know for Legolas, but it is not this day.

I tried to have it done by Tolkien's birthday, but I missed it.
So, to all who miss middle earth, here's a drawstring bag with the white tree of Gondor.

The Númenoreans retained the dedications and order, but altered the fourth day to Aldëa (Orgaladh) with reference to the White Tree only, of which Nimloth that grew in the King's Court in Númenor was believed to be a descendant.

He tarries and I grieve
I look at the horn laying on my lap, cloven in two symmetrical pieces. My fingers trace the edges, sharp where it broke, run over its surface worn smooth by centuries of duty.
My sight blurs as tears rain on the last remnants of my brother; this horn he carried with great pride and an even greater sense of duty.
I look away, letting the horn drop back on my lap as I search my pocket for a handkerchief. Outside, the sun is bright and the air warm. Boromir would have loved a day such as this, free from the constant fog rising from Mordor.
The horn is on my lap still and I cannot help staring at it, thinking about my brother who sacrifies his life not only for his duty but for his friends first and foremost. Oh, Boromir, you would have loved to walk through the streets of Minas Tirith filled with laughter and birdsong!
In a fit of inspiration, I raise from my seat by the window, cradling the cloven horn to my chest, and make my way out of the house of the Stewards, straight for the courtyard before the palace. The White Tree is in full bloom now, so much taller and stronger than the sapling it was last year. Someone, children of the Citadel probably, tied colourful ribbons and strings of trinkets on the lower branches. The ornaments chime quietly in the slow breeze, and the sound comforts me.
I kneel before the White Tree and lay the broken horn at its feet, passing my hand on the smooth material one last time. “Look, brother, our city is happy and safe now,” I whisper to the wind. “Your duty is done, you can rest now…” the words die in my throat and I swallow the tears threatening to fall again. This is no new grief, but today, on the eve of my wedding, the wound feels as fresh and painful as when I saw Boromir floating down the Anduin in a strange boat.
I cannot say how long I stay kneeling in front of the White Tree, but, when I stand up at last, the horn I laid here has disappeared under fallen blossoms like fresh snow.
