"...And mom said we're gonna decorate the tree today, and then decorate Christmas cookies, and then watch elf!" Izzy went on and on the entire day, explaining just how his Christmas themed day would go.
It was December 18th, and surely, Ozzy was getting into the Christmas spirit even more so each day. You never got to experience a Mayfair-Richards Christmas before. You had met Ally right after the season, in January. It was nearly the anniversary to the Day you became close friends with her.
Typically, you would babysit Oz until seven while his mother worked. But she had managed to escape that place by five. You knew she did everything, after all the shit that went down with the cult, to make sure that Ozzy always came first.
Somehow, it had put a damper on your mood. It was sweet, really, how she got to spend the holiday season with her son. But it only reminded you that you are alone. You have nobody to spend Christmas with.
As Ozzy rambled about the rest of his day, keys jingled in the doorway. Eventually, Ally walked in. You turned around to stare at the older woman. Her hair only slightly tussled from the day, still in her jeans and sweater. You smiled lightly.
"Mom!" Oz said. He jumped off the couch and ran over to hug her. Without Ivy in the picture, he had become fairly close to Ally. You followed behind him but kept your distance. She still made you flustered when she came too close.
She looked over his head at you and smiled. Truly smiled. "Hi, y/n" she said, ever so soft. You could listen to her speak again and again, all day. The way she said your name; how it rolled off her tongue like melted butter. You always preferred a tranquil environment. Simply being alone with nobody to speak and annoy you. To just let you be. But with Ally, you wanted her to talk to you, to touch you, to even yell at you. Whatever it was, you just wanted to be with her.
"Hi,” you responded and suddenly hated the way your voice sounded. Hated how you looked. Hated everything. You needed to be perfect for her, if there was even a chance of her having mutual feelings for you. But then her eyes softened and smile grew deeper and all your thought bubbles blew away.
"Mom, can y/n stay and decorate with us?"
"Oz, that's alright. I don't want to intrude." Your cheeks became a deeper shade a red. He was a child; her didn't know the affect he would cause by this.
"It's okay, you're not intruding," Ally says, and as if she notices your burning hot cheeks, she steps forward and cups them with her cold hands. "I would love for you to stay and decorate. The snows coming down really hard right now, anyways. I don't want you driving home in that."
You can't tell if she truly wants you to stay, or just doesn't want to feel the guilt if you were to get into an accident. But something about the way that she brushes her thumb over the expense of your cheek and how her free hand rests on your hip gives you a better idea.
You clear your throat before speaking, for nerves had closed it up, "Alright then. Thank you." Ozzy had run back into the living room where boxes of ornaments had been waiting all day for him. Ally finally let go of you but you could still, somehow, feel where her hands were as if she left marks on you. Her eyes, however, could not leave you alone.
"How was Oz today?" Ally asked, expecting you to answer as if she hadn't stolen your breath, voice, and composure at the least.
"He was good. He couldn't stop talking about all of the comic books that he asked 'Santa' for." The older woman smiled, simple and sweet. It quickly faded and she looked down at the wooden floors, like they were the most interesting thing; she wouldn't advert her eyes elsewhere.
"You know, it's his first Christmas without Ivy...he's had some tough moments. I'm glad you're here to make it better for him." Eventually, she looked back up, gazing deep into your eyes.
"He's a good kid, i'll always be here for him. And...you too, you know, if you ever need anything." You fiddled with you fingers, nerves, once again, fluttering in your stomach. Her soft smile reoccurred.
"Thank you, sweetheart. And you'll always have a home here too." I want you to be my home.
You hadn't gotten a chance to address her comment, as the young boy was already getting antsy. "Mom, Y/n, hurry up!"
-
'Rocking Around the Christmas Tree' filled the living room along with laughter from both you and Oz. Ally watched from afar with a gentle smile that stretched from ear to ear. "So you're telling me that Santa knocked down your whole christmas tree?" Oz asked, unsure of your story.
"I swear it! And he tried to make it up by giving me an extra chocolate bar in my stocking!" Ozzy chuckled at you as he hung up the last of the ornaments on one of the lower branches.
"How'd you not wake up?"
"I was five and absolutely terrified of him."
All of a sudden you felt arms snake around your waist, hot breath against your ear as the woman spoke, "Well I hope one of you isn't absolutely terrified of putting the star on the tree?" Ally teased. You shivered as her   breath hit the back of you neck and her Vanilla perfume coursed through your veins.
"Can y/n put it on this year?" Oz asked, turning to his mother. She had a rustic yellow star in her hand that had clearly been used for years on end.
"You sure you don't want to do it? You're way lighter than me, buddy." The tree was taller than all three of you and you surely could not emotionally handle being lifted up by Ally.
"Please? It's your first year with us!" He looked up at you with pleading eyes. You looked over at Ally, she smiled and nodded at you.
"Ozzy is right, sweetheart. It is your first year with us." She knew how to get under your skin in the best way. She was aware of the affect that she has on you.
"Alright fine," You gave in, a grin teasing at your face. You grab the star from Ally and stood in front of the tree. Her strong arms gripped your waist and your feet lifted effortlessly off the ground.
"Don't drop me, please, Ally," you said, voice trembling. You placed the big star on the top branch, pushing it further in to secure it.
"I'll try not to," her voice was airy, teasing. Once you were done, rather than putting you back down, Ally walked you over to the couch and lightly tossed you on.
"Ally!" You yelled, your laugh completely demolishing your pout. Before you could stand back up, the older woman began to relentlessly tickle your sides. "A-Al-"
"Nope, you're not getting away. This is what the star person has to endure," Behind the haze you were in from hardly being able to breathe due to laughing, you were still able to catch a glimpse of Ally biting her lip and smiling.
Eventually she began to show you mercy and let you off. You stood up once you caught your breath and fixed up your tussled hair. "Not nice," you called.
Like a child would, she stuck her tongue out at you, teasingly, then winked, "I told you, that what happens when you're the star person."
-
"What is that?" Ozzy asked, astonished, to his mother who had been decorating her own christmas cookie as you and the young boy both did alongside her.
She looked up at her son, a grin teasing her lips. "What do you mean? It's a gingerbread man," she said, with an airily laugh.
"Looks more like a monster," Oz remarked back. Ally dramatically gasped, placing her hand on her chest.
"Does not! Y/n, tell him."
You looked over at Oz, as if you were going to take Ally side, but then said, "I don't know, Ally," you looked down at her plate, "I mean, at least you baked the cookies well?"
"No way! You two are so mean, ganging up on me." She looked over at you, biting her lip. You assumed she tasted sweet from the frosting she had been licking off her finger and you wondered what would happen if you tested out that theory right this moment.
"Hey, don't be bitter just because Oz and I are the worlds best cookie decorators. Isn't that right, Ozzy?" You turned to the little boy and smiled. He high-fived you and vigorously nodded.
"I'll show you bitter alright," Ally said, playfully, and before you could process her actions, she had swiped red frosting across your nose. You gasped, trying to hold in your laugh by a single thread.
"Oh, you'll pay for that." You got up to wipe it off your face, planning your revenge. When you were over by the counter, you turned back around when you felt a body press against you.
"Let me help you with that." She eyed you hungrily, like she was planning her own ways to wipe that frosting off. She smirked, ravenous, however, you wouldn't let her get to you. Before she could clear you off the sweetness on your face, you reached behind yourself to grab some of the extra frosting and gently smacked her cheek with it.
"You didn't!"
"I did. Now we're even, huh?"
Ally stood completely frozen, staring at you with her mouth agape. "Uh-Uh," she said, and when you least expected it, she reach behind you and pulled the same stunt, "Now we are, darling."
-
"Okay, Oz is in bed. I was thinking we could watch a christmas movie and then head to bed too," Ally spoke as she walked down the stairs and over to you. You stood, leaned against the doorway, gazing at the Christmas tree you had decorated with the two of them. For once, you felt like you've found a home, a family, even if you forced yourself to believe that it was unrequited.
You turnt your body towards her, for once tonight, your body was relaxed. But the air was tight, tense, there was something flying in the air yet it was out of hands reach. Something tugging at both you and Ally's lips yet too tender to release.
She joined you in the doorway, and in the moment, her eyes didn't burn holes through your chest, making your heart burn all that faster for her. Right now, in this moment, you felt at peace and everything felt right, felt light. It was quiet, dim.
"So um," Ally begins, and almost as if you'd transferred your nerves onto her, she seems flustered, hesitant. She looked up, above you both, "Looks like we're under the mistletoe."
You don't catch on at first, too entranced at the way that the christmas lights gleamed onto her face, highlighting her sharp cheekbones and jawline. You finally looked up and noticed it. "It seems as if we are..."
Neither of you want to say it, want to make that confession, but it's almost a non-verbal request, because Ally begins leaning in closer towards you and, eventually, your tasting the vanilla frosting and eggnog from earlier. And like a greedy one would, you want more, so you take it. Your hand is feeling the warmth behind her neck to pull her closer, her own is gripping your waist to hold a steady pace.
Once air is being breathed again, you stare deep into her eyes, only mere inches apart. She's the first one to speak up, "I've been trying to resist you forever, but it's been incredibly difficult tonight."
"You haven't exactly been helping a situation," You raise a single eyebrow at her. She laughs at you, fully, and her cheeks turn a deeper shade of pink. She goes in for another kill, swiftly pecking your lips with a simple kiss.
"So...is this my christmas present? That I get an extremely pretty girlfriend?" Ally asks.
You grin at her, "Only if you want. I'll be generous and let you decide this year."
She rolls her eyes at your antics, but then she tugs you towards the couch with her hands and lips and that itself certainly gave you a pretty clear idea of her decision.

The light within the darkness
Tumblr media
Wilhelmina Venable X reader
Angsty but somewhat fluffy ending. I’m a sucker for angst. Hope you guys enjoy.
Word count- 3409.
Wilhelmina was surprised by you. Perhaps even drawn in by you. You were like no other she had ever encountered before. She was curious about you, but you, just like her, had walls that were not so easily dismantled. She saw small quirks to you. The way your eyes always lingered when an altercation happened in the office, your body tensing and your face holding an unreadable expression.
The way, when it rained, you wouldn’t use an umbrella to go to your car and would just walk at your normal pace, not caring at how wet you got. Or the way when she would insult you, you wouldn’t cry or get anxious the way her previous assistants would. You would just accept the insults she would give you before moving onto your next task.
-
You started as an intern at Kineros Robotics at 20. Slightly younger than her previous interns, yet so much more mature. The first time Wilhelmina had encountered you; you were working under Todd in accounting. Wilhelmina knew of him well, many complaints of his suggestive comments and inappropriate jokes were reported by younger female staff. But Jeff and Mutt had simply told her to dismiss them and although it felt wrong for even her to do, she did so without a question.
It must have been your first week when there was a major mess up down the accounting department and Todd had sent you to go an explain what had happened, warning you of Wilhelmina. You nodded, silent before wandering off. She couldn’t be as bad as the stories had made her out to be.
But as you came to the door of her office, you felt an intense uncomfortable feeling you could not explain. You knocked on the door, waiting for her to call you in before entering.
There she sat, in her chair, a cane at her side and a scowl on her face. Her red hair was up in a tight bun, highlighting her sharp cheekbones and jawline. She was wearing a lilac suit with a white blouse underneath. You were brought back to reality but her speaking.
“Pray, tell me, are you going to announce your presence or are you just going to gape like a fish?” Her cold tone matched with what the others had told you about her and you nodded, not letting her words bother you.
“Ms. Venable, I’m Y/N L/N. Todd from accounting sent me. He told me to explain what has happened.” You responded, your hands at your sides, watching as an irritated expression came to her face.
“Oh? You work for that imbecile? I do hope his brain numbing jokes hasn’t snatched you off your last few braincells.” Her voice hardened with every word she spoke, and you smirked slightly as everything she said was correct. Her eyes caught your smirk. “Do tell me what you find so amusing, Ms. L/N before I make you regret waking up today.”
“Already do, Ms. Venable. However, Todd told me to tell you that the reason this whole mess is going on is because he is experiencing a ‘Technical difficulty’” You air quoted, and Ms. Venable raised her eyebrows surprised by her response and your honesty.
“Oh? And between us, what is the real reason?” Ms. Venable asked, and you smiled, moving your hands to the door.
“Todd may be an asshole, but still is my superior.” You smirked as you left the room, your eyes lingering to hers before pulling the door closed.
She knew then that you were different. You weren’t disrespectful like the others, nor were you stupid. You knew what you could and couldn’t expose.
-
The next encounter was a few weeks later. Of course, you had both passed each other in the hallways but this was different. You were sitting in front of her because Todd had requested you be changed department. He did not specify why but he said it would be more beneficial for you to get experience in another department.
“I would describe it as a pleasure to see you today, but the migraine I have from trying to transfer you to another department says otherwise.” Ms. Venable snarked and rubbed her temples and you just stared at her, you were not quite sure what to say this time, scared of being fired. You needed this job; it was perhaps the most stable one you had in your whole life.
“Well, are you going to explain to me why Todd wants you transferred or are you, once again, going to gape at me like a fish?” Her tone grew harsher, but you didn’t immediately respond. “Well, Miss. L/N, if you’re going to waste my time then—”
You cut her off “Whatever Todd said in that email, I suppose.” Wilhelmina eyed you, before standing.
“Well, I suppose, you could become my assistant on a trial basis. However, my assistants never tend to last long.” Her eyes met your and you nodded before thanking her.
-
Your first week being Wilhelmina’s assistant had been going okay… until today. The delivery that was supposed to happen from the company suppliers didn’t happen and you were stressed, because if you failed this, then you would be out of the door quicker than you could apologize for the mishap. So, you had spent the last hour calling any supplier that could give the same product the same day.
However, unbeknownst to you, Wilhelmina had already received the call from the suppliers letting her know about the failed delivery. Instead of berating you straight away, she decided she would wait for you to come to her.
But as the hours passed, Wilhelmina’s irritation grew. She knew you knew but you avoided her. It was obvious to her now you were like the others, and just as she had picked up the phone to call Jeff and Mutt, you came into the office, with a reddened face and your breath was uneven.
“Ms. Venable, are you busy?” You asked, a nervous undertone in your voice. Wilhelmina smirked, knowing now you had come with your tail in between your legs and now she could finally unleash her wrath.
“What is it you want to tell me, Miss. L/N?” Wilhelmina asked, her eyes looking you up and down. She did enjoy you more than her other assistants and it would be a pity to fire you but you were just like the others.
“A few hours ago, the delivery with our suppliers fell through-“Wilhelmina cut you off, her expression now highlighting her annoyance.
“I am aware. I was made aware Hours ago, and you did not inform me. What were you doing for these past few hours? Looking for excuses to give me? Well, your imbecilic behaviors have cost this company an extreme amount of money. What have you got to say for yourself?” She stood from her desk and approached you, once standing in front of you, her hands rested on her cane.
“I know I should have come to you a lot sooner. But the reason I didn’t was because, I was just on the phone to another supplier. They have the EXACT same product for 33% cheaper. I managed to get a delivery with them tomorrow morning. I know it should have come through today but-“You stopped yourself from speaking any more.
Wilhelmina stood in front of you, with a shocked expression however, just as quickly as it appeared, it disappeared. “How am I supposed to take any word you say as truthful? You could just be saying this and when tomorrow comes, you’ll say this one fell through.”
“Well, the reason I came to you was to get your signature so I could finalize the order. You can look at all the documents.”
Wilhelmina didn’t show you her surprise anymore and instead requested the emails to be sent to her so she could finalize the order you had set up and inform Jeff and Mutt.
-
That was the night when Wilhelmina realized she had an attraction to you. To your brain. But on a Friday night when everyone was leaving the office for the weekend her car would not start. She sighed before getting out and she spotted you approaching her. You must have been her assistant for 3 months now, the longest lasting one and exchanges of first names was now expected.
“Wilhelmina? Are you okay?” You asked, noticing her defeated expression. Her eyes met yours as she shook her head.
“My car won’t start. I don’t know what to do.” She sighed before looking back her car. You moved closer to her.
“It’s too late to do anything about it now, I’ll drive you home and take a look at it tomorrow for you, how’s that?” You asked, moving your hand closer to hers. Wilhelmina sighed once again before looking you in the eyes and nodding. You took the moment to take in the beauty of her chocolate brown eyes and turned around to avoid her seeing you blush.
“My cars just a few lanes over. Come, follow me.” You stated, and began to walk, looking over your shoulder to make sure she was following you. You slowed your pace slightly, so you were now walking next to you and your hands brushed each other’s as you walked together.
As you reached your car, you unlocked it and opened the passenger seat door for her, eyes lingered for a moment too long before she smiled slightly and thanked you. You nodded, getting into the driver’s seat, and beginning out of the car park.
You were nearly at Wilhelmina’s house before you heard her swear under her breath.
“Shit!” was all she whispered, looking frantically in her bag. You looked at her for a second before moving your eyes back to the road.
“What’s wrong?” You asked, slowing the car, and pulling over. Wilhelmina shut her eyes and sighed.
“I left my house keys in my car. Fuck.” There was a frustration in her voice but not the type of frustration you were used to from Wilhelmina. It was also perhaps one of the first time you had seen the woman lose her composure and swear in front of you.
“Do you have a spare outside your house?” You asked, moving your body slightly to look at her, Wilhelmina sighed again before shaking her head. You let out a long breath before finding the only solution you could to this situation. “It’s late already. If we head back to the office, you won’t get home until gone 10. You can stay at mine, and we’ll grab your keys tomorrow while I look at your car.”
Wilhelmina bit her tongue, contemplating demanding you to drive back but decided that this was probably one of the only times you’d spend time out of the office together, so she nodded. “Thank you.”
You started the car engine and began to drive, before looking at her “Don’t worry about it. But I would prefer if you didn’t mention to anyone where I live.”
“I wouldn’t. I’d prefer you didn’t tell anyone I’m staying the night.” Wilhelmina replied, a bit harsher than she intended and you nodded, the rest of journey in silence.
-
When you pulled into your car park, Wilhelmina noticed your flat was in a rougher part of town. You got out of the car and opened Wilhelmina’s door. You noticed how her eyes wandered around the worn-down area but didn’t say anything. You locked your car and wandered to your front door, opening it and allowing her to walk in first before shutting the door behind you and turning the lights on.
You noticed her eyes wandering around the apartment and you raised your eyebrows. “What’s wrong?” You enquired; Wilhelmina’s gaze met yours as she moved to sit down.
“Nothing. It just- not what I expected.” Her honesty threw you and you shook your head feeling yourself growing defensive.
“Excuse me?” You retorted, putting your keys onto the counter, while moving towards the fridge.
“No! I mean, it’s just I thought- I- “You turned back to her and waited for her to finish her sentence. “It’s lovely.”
You smiled at her, finally seeing the humor to the situation. “The place is a piece of shit. But it’s all an intern can pay for so it’s home.”
Wilhelmina looked down at her lap before you poured both of you a glass of water. You passed it to her and sat down next to her.
“I didn’t realize the pay was an intern was that low.” She murmured suddenly, wishing the glass of water was a glass of wine.
“It’s better than what I did before. Plus, it’s steady income, so it doesn’t really matter.” You shrugged. “I’ve lived in worse.”
“You’ve never told me. About you job before this. Or anything about your personal life for that matter” Wilhelmina’s tone was curious and part of you wanted to tell her, but the other part knew that she’d look at you differently for it. You didn’t want to destroy that.
You shrugged your shoulders and crossed your legs on the couch, looking at her with an almost pained expression. It made her want to lean in and take your face into her hands. You didn’t speak and looked down at your hands before taking a sip of your water. “We’ll leave in the morning to sort out your car. I’ll sleep on the couch; you take the bed.”
You shut her out and Wilhelmina, in turn, felt herself wanting to shut you out too. But she thought too much of you to allow that to happen. She wanted you to open up, even if that meant opening up herself.
“I can tell you’ve been through a lot. I see it in the way you tense when someone gets too loud or if someone touches you without asking. Y/N, I don’t want you to think I’d judge you. I know more than anyone how difficult opening up is.”
“I can’t, Wilhelmina. I’m sorry.” You responded another pained expression on your face. Wilhelmina reached out her hand to touch your and you looked up at her not wanting her hand to leave yours.
“I like you, Y/N. More than I’ve ever liked anyone, and I just want to help you. The day you first met me, you said you already regretted waking up. Talk to me, please. Not as your boss, as a friend.”
This was too much for you. Way too much for you. You couldn’t let her see you venerable. You let out a sarcastic laugh.
“I dunno, Wilhelmina, has it ever occurred to you that maybe, just maybe, the reason I tense when someone at work touches me is because I don’t like anyone there?” You were being harsh, it felt so wrong. The sorrowful look on Wilhelmina’s face made you feel a guilt you’ve never felt before but you needed to stay firm. She was being open with you, but you couldn’t allow yourself the same leniency.
“Not even me?” Her face held hurt and you wanted nothing more than to tell her that she was the only person you’d liked that much in a long time, that you felt yourself falling in love with her and you just wanted to kiss her right then and there to make everything go away. Instead, you did what you always did and ruined it.
“I think we should get some sleep.” You muttered. Wilhelmina couldn’t argue. So instead, she just stood, you followed her lead. You gave her some clothes to sleep in, then showed her to your bedroom before turning in for the night.
-
The next morning you drove her to her car, and Wilhelmina pretended not to know that you woke several times the night before, gasping for breath. You pretended that nothing had happened the night before.
When you got to her car, you managed to get it running again. You wished her a good few days off and said you’d see her Monday. Wilhelmina gripped your hand as you turned to walk away and kissed your cheek. You shrugged her off and there was a hurt in her eyes as you left.
It was almost as she expected you to open up right there and then. But you couldn’t.
-
The Monday afterward was different, she was harsher, stricter. Almost as if she had given up on you. You didn’t let her attitude affect you (Correction: tried not). The next day wasn’t much different, harsh words were exchanged and you didn’t understand yet you were somewhat grateful you had managed to push her away. She didn’t deserve to be part of your mess.
It wasn’t until the Wednesday that something had finally changed. Your nightmares were worse the night before and you felt as if you were on the verge of tears the whole day. When Wilhelmina approached your desk, you knew you were done for.
“Ms. L/N, how many times have I told you not to forward calls straight to my office without notifying me first? Are you that much of an imbecile that you can’t even take in simple instruction? I thought you were better than the rest of them, but I must have been wrong. You’re an imbecile. I don’t understand how you can face the day.” Her harsh words and harsh tone were too much. You knew you deserved it for the way you treated her but today was just too much. You couldn’t help the sob that escaped your lips and you stood. You didn’t look up at her, ashamed you were being this venerable around her.
You walked out of the office, tears freely falling and drove home. You didn’t care anymore. You’d ruined everything.
-
That night, there was a knock on your door. Your face was tear streaked but you didn’t care as you opened the door. Wilhelmina saw you and didn’t say a word as she entered, she just shut the door behind her before taking you into her arms. Her cane fell to the floor but neither of you cared and you began to sob hard into her arms. She moved the hair out of your face and guided you to your couch, moving your head into her lap.
You didn’t know how long you both had been sitting like that, with her stroking your hair in silence before you sat up and took her face into your hands.
“I’m sorry. I’m Sorry. I’m sorry.” You repeated, feeling the guilt of everything wash over you. Wilhelmina moved her hands to your face as well.
“Shh. Shh, Y/N. It’s okay. Please, just tell me what’s going on. I want to help you. I-“ Wilhelmina cut herself off and you bit your lip, and Wilhelmina saw you tear streaked face and wished she could take your pain away.
“It’s getting bad again, Mina. So bad. I didn’t realize it at first. Then I met you and were like this light in this darkness and I- I wanted- I wanted you. I wanted to love you. To tell you everything but it’s like anyone I’ve ever told always leaves and I don’t want you to leave, Mina. I love you.” Your voice cracked multiple times as you spoke but Wilhelmina pulled you into her embrace as she stroked your hair.
“Babygirl, I love you too. I’m so sorry I was cruel to you. I didn’t know how to deal with you shutting me out so I was cruel and I apologize so much my babygirl, my darling. But please tell me what I can do to make this go away.”
You pulled back slightly to look back at her. “Please just kiss me, Mina.”
Wilhelmina knew that a kiss wouldn’t make all of this go away but she knew it would comfort you and show her you cared in ways her words couldn’t so she placed her lips to yours and you drew her in like she was the oxygen you needed.
When you both finally pulled away, you clutched Wilhelmina’s hand in yours, afraid she’d disappear if you let go.
“My darling girl, we’ll get through this together.” Wilhelmina stated as she pulled you in for another kiss, and you smiled a small smile, some of the hurt easing because at least now you had Wilhelmina by your side.

You're Safe Little One
Cordelia Goode x Ally Mayfair x Wilhelmina Enable x reader (mother/daughter)
“What are we going to do?!” Zoe shouts looking down at Madison who is passed out on the bathroom floor.
“I’m going to have to call my mom.” You sighed reaching for your phone.
“Are you insane?!” Zoe shouts grabbing your phone.
“Cordelia will be so pissed, and Mina might kill us all.”
“I know that’s why I’m calling Ally!” You yelled at her snatching your phone back.
Zoe rolls her eyes “You think Ally isn’t going to tell them?”
“She will tell them but at least she won’t freak out on me until tomorrow. Plus we need to get out of here those guys Madison met are giving me the creeps. And I’m feeling dizzy, I think they drugged us, Zoe.”
“What do you mean?”
“I don’t know something just doesn’t feel right. I’m calling Ally.”
Zoe nods as she goes back to Madison to check on her. Meanwhile, you waited for Ally to pick up breathing heavily as the phone rang.
“Hey, honey.” She answers.
“Ally.”
“What’s wrong love?” She asked.
Damn, how did she know just by your voice? You think to yourself.
“Can you please pick me, Zoe, and Madison up? I know you’ll be mad but we’re at this party and there are some guys here and they’re giving me bad vibes. And they gave us drinks but Ally I don’t feel good. Something is wrong. And Mads is passed out and I can’t wake her up.”
“Where are you?”
“I can send you my location. We are all three locked in the bathroom. But ally..please hurry. And please don’t bring Mom and Momma. I know you guys will be mad but I don’t feel comfortable here.” You tell her.
“I’ll be right there,” Ally says hanging up the phone. You let out a breath of relief as you ended the phone call.
“So we’re good?” Zoe asked.
“Yeah. Ally’s cool. We will be fine.” You said giving her a small smile as you tried to center yourself.
It was not fine an hour later you felt worse and then you heard the door slam open and instantly you knew.
“Y/n y/m/n y/l/n!!!” The voice echoed throughout the house.
“Fuck.” You mumbled unlocking the bathroom door to see Cordelia, Mina, and Ally standing there.
“Ally.” You whined.
“Don’t blame her you know better!” Cordelia shouts. Looking over she sees Madison lying on the ground.
“Shit Madison.” She sighs walking towards her and leaving you with Ally and Mina.
“Did those boys hurt you?” Mina asked looking over at the group of young boys.
“No ma’am. I just got a weird vibe from them so I called Ally to bring us home.”
“Well I’m proud of you for that but I’m also extremely disappointed in you. Not only for drinking but for calling Ally and putting her in an impossible position.”
“I know.” You whispered bowing your head.
“You and Zoe go to the car. We will be there in a few.” She says.
You and Zoe nod your heads as you walk past her towards the car. Walking past Ally you stopped and whispered “I’m sorry Al.”
Ally nods as you walked past her sighing a bit as she watches Mina and Cordelia yell at the group of boys. Once Cordelia was able to lift Madison she walked to the car putting her in the back seat. Before they can leave Ally stops the older women.
“Listen I know she’s in trouble and she could have gotten hurt but let’s try to remember that they’re just teenagers before we make any decisions.”
“What’s your point?” Mina asked.
“My point is go back and remember what it was like to be 15. When I was her age I never would have called my parents. No matter what was going on. I didn’t trust them enough. All I’m saying is cut her some slack, please. She knew something was wrong and she called.”
“She called you!” Mina shouts.
“And maybe you should ask yourself why!” Ally shouts back.
“Because she thought you would lie to us. Because you’re the cool parent.” Mina scoffs.
“She knew I would tell you both eventually. She called me because she knew I would come no questions asked.” Ally says.
Cordelia sighs” She’s right Mina. We can both be a little hard on her. We expect a lot from y/n.”
Mina sighs “Clearly not hard enough. Look where we are. She could have been hurt!”
“Yes, but she called before it got that far. So maybe Ally is right, she should be cut some slack.”
“Let’s go home,” Mina mumbled walking to the car.
The ride home was spent in silence. The three women each had thoughts running around their minds. Madison and Zoe were passed out but you couldn’t sleep. Maybe it was the drugs or your anxiety but you couldn’t close your eyes.
Once you reached the academy Zoe and Madison wake up enough to walk to their rooms with the help of Myrtle and Misty. You stayed behind because you knew the night was nowhere near over for you. The three women sighed a breath of relief before heading straight into the living room.
“Y/n come here,” Cordelia calls out. You sighed walking into the room.
The three of them were sitting on the couch. Cordelia opens her arms out to you. “Come here, honey.”
You nod as you sit in her lap and she wraps her arms around you.
“Are you okay?”
You shake your head no. After everything that happened tonight, you finally broke once you realized you were safe.
“I’m sorry. I know I shouldn’t have gone to that party. But it was fine at first until they gave us the drinks. The boys kept looking at us and asking if we were okay but I knew something was wrong. The room was spinning and once I realized Madison passed out I told Zoe I was calling Ally. I knew Ally would tell you guys but I didn’t want you to come and see me like that. I just wanted to come home. I’m sorry Mom.” You said crying into her shoulder.
“It’s alright baby you’re home now. You’re safe.” Cordelia says softly.
“I know I disappointed all of you. I’m so sorry.” You cried.
“Honey, you're young things like this happen. But I am very proud of you for calling me.” Ally says with a smile.
You returned the smile to her as you looked over at Mina. The thought of disappointing any of your moms was hard for you but especially when it came to the redhead.
“Momma... I…I’m sorry. I know you expect more from me and I let you down. I’ll do better I promise.” You tell her looking down at your feet feeling ashamed for letting her down.
“Little one look at me please,” Mina calls out.
Lifting your head slowly you make eye contact with her.
“When Ally told me what was going on I was so angry. I went there with every intention of yelling at you and causing a scene. And yes I was disappointed. But more than anything I was scared. Scared that something had or was going to happen to my little girl. I felt out of control and that scared me. Because I never want you to get to hurt. The thought of those boys hurting you frightened me. I know I’m hard on you. And I know that you worry that you’re letting me down. But that is far from the truth. You make me so happy and so proud to call myself your mother. And tonight I was extremely proud of you. Not only for calling for help but for taking care of Madison and Zoe and keeping the three of you safe until we got there. I love you sweetheart and I just want to always keep you safe that’s all. “
“I know. But still, I’m sorry Momma.”
“I know dear. Come here.” She says opening her arms out to you.
You crawled into her lap laying your head on her shoulder as you cried. The three women sat in silence as you cried. Each thanking the gods that you were safe but also thinking about what could have happened if they hadn’t gotten there in time.
“Momma I don’t feel good.” You whispered.
“How much did you drink?”
“Only one. I swear. I feel sleepy. “
“It's the drugs,” Ally states looking at the other women.
“They drugged them for sure. We all know Madison is a heavy drinker and she was out cold. Zoe mentioned Madison only had two drinks. Those boys had an agenda for sure.”
“ They’re lucky I didn’t kill them.” Mina growls.
“Agreed. But for now, let’s focus on the girls. I’ll have Myrtle and Misty stay with Zoe and Madison and we will take y/n to our room for the night. “ Cordelia says.
“Sounds like a plan,” Ally says standing up.
“Let me carry her Mina,” Ally says taking you out of the redhead's lap.
You groaned trying to focus on Ally but your eyes were too heavy.
“Ally?” You questioned.
“I’ve got you sweet girl. Everything is okay.” She cooed carrying you upstairs to their bedroom.
Once Cordelia and Mina checked on the other girls the three women laid down in bed with you. They watched over you as you slept peacefully.
“Some many things could have happened tonight.” Mina sighed caressing your cheek.
“True. But she’s safe now and that is all that matters.” Cordelia whispered.
“I know but..”
“Mina,” Ally calls out to her holding her hand tightly.
“She’s safe love. She’s alright.”
Mina nods her head as she bends down to kiss your forehead.
“You’re safe little one.”

Cordelia Goode x Wilhelmina Venable x Billie Dean Howard x Reader - Black Friday
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A/N: Hello everyone. I am currently obsessed with these three again so I apologise for the spam. I got the idea for this from the song ,,Black Friday'' by Tom Odell. I honestly wasn't sure whether to carry this on, write a part two or just keep it at this. I decided to post it now to see if anyone on here even still reads my stuff.
tw: mention of past abusive relationship, very mild mention of scars, angst + fluff
taglist: (if you wanna be added or taken off, send me a dm or an ask):

Laughter illuminated your face, the room spinning, music filling your senses. Infront of you, Billie dancing cheerfully while she smiled at you. In that moment you knew it was one of those little moments that you wouldn‘t forget. Her perfect blonde curls swaying in synch with her hips, her smile and her laughter filling your heart and her singing causing you to giggle. You were always a lot of things but definitely not one to party. You hated it, the drunk people around, the unnecessary hangover the next morning. But somehow Billie had convinced you.
„Just this once“ she beamed excitedly as she tried to convince you but also convincing your other two lovers, promising one of them could pick you up after and that she wouldn‘t drive, wouldn‘t drink too much and would look after you. Of course you agreed, what other answer could you have given the woman with the beaming smile and excited tapping of her heels and it was worth it, so worth it.
If there was one thing Billie had taught you over the years it was how to have fun. She turned your world upside down, making you experience things you had never experienced before. The medium taught you it was okay not to feel guilty for smiling or showing genuine laughter. Never scolding you for being too loud or embarrassing and never once not in the mood to spend time with you, get out the house with you or spoil you wrotten.
Then there was a certain redhead. Mina, your mina. She taught you what it‘s like to be happy. Billie taught you all the fun parts but Mina showed you true happiness. Quiet moments spent together, eyes meeting at the dinner table, finding a quiet spot in the garden or greenhouse and her reading a book to you. Your heart fills with happiness whenever you get to spend those moments with her. Just like Billie, she never made you feel uncomfortable, never scolded you for asking for things. If you had a bad day, she would take your hand, hold it gently against her cheek and asked what you needed.
„You look so pretty, pretty like the sun“ you whispered, as you sat in Cordelia‘s lap. Her arms wrapped tightly around you, making you feel safe. Delia was your sun, the supreme lit up your world from the start. Often you find it hard to describe her to people or the love you feel for her. But the sun was simply the next best thing. Cordelia is warm, her presence making a room smile and instantly feel safe and comfortable. Her hands always feel warm, instantly making you feel safe. The supreme had taught you what true kindness feels like. To never be ashamed of being too nice or kind to people, whether your loved ones or strangers you would never see again.
„You are so kind my darling“ Delia would tell you after you helped one of the new girls in the academy get settled, no time or effort ever too much for you.
Their love for you was something you couldn‘t grasp til this day. To be loved by three beautiful, kind and powerful women at the same time felt like a jackpot to you, one you didn‘t deserve.
„I‘m so selfish“ you think to yourself as you look in the mirror. Your own thoughts pulling you back into reality. Despite their best efforts the self doubts never quite stopped. Despite being told it was okay to have bad days.
As Wilhemina enters the livingroom, she finds the usual picture in front of her. The coven finally quiet after a busy day, Cordelia reading and grading things, her laptop tucked in her lap. Billie scrolling on her phone while also glancing at the tv from time to time. Despite being busy doing their own things, the two blondes had a blanket around their shoulders, sharing it and occasionally exchanging loving glances and soft gentle kisses.
Usually however, you would be part of this. Wrapped in between them or next to one of them. The biggest beaming smile painting your face as you see Mina, knowing she prefers the coven quiet and also having her work for the day finished.
Today you didn‘t sit there. No beaming happy smile. „Where‘s my little one?“ she asks which causes Cordelia to smile softly. „She hasn‘t really been around since going out to do the shopping earlier“. the supreme explains, the smallest bit of concern lacing her voice but deep down remembering Billie‘s words from earlier, telling her you would be fine and are probably just tired and having a nap.
You are still standing in-front of the mirror as Wilhemina makes her way up the stairs to your shared bedroom. Staring at yourself, feeling emptiness, while your head is filled with all sorts of thoughts and flashbacks.
„Little one?“ the redhead asks after entering the room, having knocked before with no reply as your thoughts completely blocked out your surroundings before. However, her gentle voice and the tapping of her cane, walking towards you, pulls you right back into reality.
„Sorry Mina“ you smile and walk towards her, shaking off your thoughts and mustering up your best smile. The woman scans you for a moment before one of her hands makes it‘s way to your cheek. „Are you alright?“ she asks gently.
Your eyes try to go anywhere but meet her brown eyes, however it was inevitable. Mina always knew when something wasn‘t the way it should be. And your eyes definitely spoke. Delia was the better one at getting things out of you but over the years Mina had learned how to make you trust her, never pressure you and accepting honesty if you didn‘t want to talk about it as long as you didn‘t hide, didn’t lie. That had always been the deal.
„I saw him today, at the shops“ you almost whisper. Your words take a moment for her to register before her demeanor changes. Anger washes over her face before she reaches out a hand to hold yours. „What happened?“ she asks, trying to stay calm.
You explain to the redhead how nothing actually happened and while he tried to talk to you, he didn‘t actually do anything. You might have left out the part where he said some unnecessary things as you knew it would anger and trouble the redhead. Mina tries her hardest to comfort you as she faces an inner battle. She hated him, ever since Cordelia had found out what your ex boyfriend had done to you, physically and emotionally she had trouble not to go out looking for him. She could never understand how someone could treat you this way. Despite Wilhemina‘s past being filled with abuse and hatred, she could never accept that happening to you, her little one and her everything.
„Is there something I can do, little one?“ she asks with a gentle smile. „A book, some tea, a bath?“ she offers, having slowly learnt those things from Cordelia after having to learn herself what could give her comfort in moments of sadness or overwhelming emotions.
After thinking for a moment, you decide for the bath but reassure her that she didn‘t need to run it for you. You feel like having some quiet and being able to process the flashbacks alone. Wilhemina agrees, only after making you promise you would let either of them know if you needed company or anything at all.
As you sit in the bathtub, a while later, adding some of the camomile and lavender bath set that Cordelia had gotten you for your last birthday, you take some deep breaths, trying to calm down, forget about the whole thing. „You‘re so weak, selfish for telling her, it‘s pathetic“ the little voice in your head quickly reminds you. Still burnt into your brain, after he had put all those things into your head years ago. Despite years of healing with your three girlfriends, it didn’t take a lot for the voice to come and haunt you again.
Cordelia‘s thoughts are interrupted as she hears the tapping of Wilhemina‘s cane. She always knew what each tap meant, normal content Wilhemina, nervous Mina, angry Mina. And this was definitely concern and anger reflected in the slightly faster taps than usual. Instantly she puts her laptop and work aside before her eyes meet Wilhemina‘s as she finally enters the room.
„Whats wrong?“ Billie asks, also knowing by now what this expression means. „She saw him today at the shops“ the redhead states coldly but her voice filled with anger. Cordelia immediately stands up, inviting Wilhemina to sit down before calming her down a bit and giving her the chance to explain.
„I thought he was gone“ Billie snaps after the redhead finishes explaining what you had told her not that long ago. „I thought you placed a protection spell around her“ Billie snaps at Cordelia. The supreme explains calmly how that doesn‘t apply to meeting him by coincidence in a shop. „I‘m gonna go up and check on her“ the supreme announces.
Meanwhile you pull your knees closer to you, hugging them. ,,I want a better body, better skin'' you think to yourself, the voice still having the upper hand. The warm water was meant to help make you feel less shaken, the smell of the bath salts making you feel calmer. However it wasn‘t helping. The words of abuse, cycle in your head over and over again like a broken record. Suddenly the tiny scars that Cordelia healed and fixed visible again.
As the supreme approaches the bathroom your thoughts replay in her mind. Being the most powerful witch, Cordelia usually has the ability to keep her clairvoyance controlled. The ability to read other's thoughts. However, with you, Billie and Wilhemina sometimes her magic alerted her of something needing to be adressed or needing the supreme's attention. Your words pain the woman as she takes a deep breath standing in front of the bathroom door.
,,Darling?'' she knocks gently, pulling you out of your thoughts. ,,Yes Delia?'' you ask before she replies if she may enter. You think about it for a moment, not really wanting her to see you in a state like this but also knowing she would be worried if you refused. ,,Sure'' you simply reply before she enters. She gives you a gentle smile as she closes the door and approaches you. As your girlfriend kneels down beside the bathtub, you get a sense of her perfume, reminding you of her, of home.
Both of you sit in silence for a moment before her brown eyes meet yours. That's all it took for your chin to wobble and your eyes betraying you, tears rolling down your cheeks. ,,Oh darling'' she whispers before taking your cold hands into her warm ones. Your eyes reflect sadness but also the silent ask for help, for Delia to take over and as soon as she notices, she simply nods, telling you it's going to be okay.
Gentle sunshine Cordelia takes over, helping you finish your bath, drying you off, drying your hair for you and braiding it. She put you in one of her pyjamas before sitting you down on the bed, positioning herself behind you and wrapping her arms around you. Her head rests on your shoulders and her blonde hair falls on your face, taking in the smell of her shampoo, also reminding you of home and helping you to feel a bit calmer.
,,Do you think they are okay?'' Billie asks, still sitting in the living room with Wilhemina. The redhead takes a moment to think before assuring ,,I'm sure they are, otherwise Cordelia would have let us know''. Billie sighs slightly in annoyance. Part of her simply missing your presence as she hasn't seen you most of the day, another part of her annoyed that she couldn't help like Mina had done prior and now Cordelia. The redhead sitting next to her, senses her annoyance and despite not having the magic ability to read minds, knowing exactly what the medium was thinking.
,,How about you take some tea up to the bedroom? I'm sure that would be helpful'' she smiles gently at Billie. The mediums heart fills with warmth, knowing moments like these are exactly the reason she had fallen for the redhead. She agrees and excitedly waddles off to the kitchen. Mina smiling warmly, as she walks away, her heels tapping on the marble floor.
Meanwhile all your thoughts and emotions had spilled out of you. Delia right there, catching every single tear, listening to every word, making you feel safe and keeping you comfortable. She makes you feel valid with every single thing you say, slowly replacing the voice in your head, with her soft one, reminding you that you are none of those things. ,,I wanna be happy Delia'' you mumble through tears. ,,Do you think you can show me how it's done?'' you carry on. The blonde fights back her own tears, your statement causing for her heart to ache. ,,Of course my darling'' she whispers, pulling you onto her lap, as you rest your head on her chest.
The room is quiet for a while, your tears finally stopped, the only thing to be heard, Delia's heartbeat as you still rested on her chest. A gentle knock interrupts the silence. ,,Come in'' Delia softly says. As the door opens, you open your eyes and see Billie walk in, carrying a little tray with some cups and a teapot. ,,Um- I made some tea for you'' she announces anxiously. Delia smiles softly before looking down to see your face. She walks closer, placing the tray on one of the bedside tables before smiling at you and turning around to leave.
,,Billie?'' you whisper softly and she instantly turns around. ,,Yes babydoll?'' she asks as her eyes lock with yours. ,,Why is there only two cups?'' you ask confused. A bright smile fills her features as Delia smiles proudly. ,,I'll get some more'' she happily announces. ,,Could you ask Mina to come up as well please?'' you ask, your voice sounding small. ,,Of course sweetie'' she smiles softly before leaving for a moment. Delia presses a gentle kiss to your head before whispering ,,I'm so proud of you sweetheart''.
A couple of hours had passed, four tea cups now empty on the nightstand, the air filled with the smell of lavender. You are cuddled up in the middle of the bed. Delia to your right, Mina and Billie to your left. Their soft comfortable presence eventually made you fall asleep, feeling safe in their presence. ,,Do you think she's going to be okay?'' Billie asks after a while. Mina's hand finds hers under the blanket holding it tightly. ,,She will be just fine my love'' Delia replies confidently.

— meet me in the afterglow
requested by @cordithatgurl: could you do one where Ally and Y/N used to be academic rivals in college but they always liked each other (in secret), even though they never saw each other again after they graduated, until one day, years later (after Ally got elected), Y/N moved to the house next door and by coincidence she met Ally and Ozzy. They start talking and also by coincidence, they become work colleges and start hanging out and stuff... until one day, Ally invites her for a drink, they got drunk and confess their feelings for each other.
pairing: ally mayfair-richards x reader
word count: 3100
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Finally," you mumbled to yourself, grunted, and picked up the last heavy box from your trunk. You had spent nearly all afternoon moving these boxing into your new house. After three years of living with your girlfriend, it was finally time to start fresh after the breakup.
You put the heavy box down on the ground so you could close your trunk. You cursed yourself for having so many useless nic-nac's. It just added to the work you had to do with unboxing.
"Need a hand?" You heard a soft voice behind you, in the distance, and heard footsteps approaching. You jumped, startled, but when you turned around, you realized it was certainly nothing to be afraid of.
The woman's smiled faded when she saw your face. Is there something on me? Why is she- "Holy shit, y/n?"
"Ally? Oh my god it's you!" Her smiled grew again, and she unexpectedly pulled you into a hug. It was surprising; you and Ally were never that close in the sense that you both wanted the same thing and that was a problem. Neither of you could ever let a friendship get in the way of success.
"How are you? It's been so long," she asked, pulling back. You finally could see her up close. She looked just as beautiful as the day you met her. Maybe even more with age, you would argue.
"I'm alright, i'm hanging in there. How are you? I heard you’re the senator now?"
"Yes, I am! It's been hard to adjust to it with my son and everything but I wouldn't change a thing!" My son. She cannot be married. Something at the thought of this broke you. In college, it was nearly impossible to be with her. You always had it out for each other. But you would still always go back to your dorm room at night and hope that Ally would show up at your door too.
"You have a son?"
"I do; Ozzy. His other mother recently, um, passed away." She didn't seem upset over the subject. More content with the fact that she was mothering him alone. Or, maybe, she was just glad that she could easily get away from a woman that she didn't love anymore. You didn't know, but you certainly wanted to get to know her new life one day.
"Oh i'm so sorry." Without thinking, you grabbed her hand and rubbed your thumb over the soft skin there. She lightly smiled, eyes gleaming in the daylight.
"Thank you, y/n." A brief silence accumulated you both. But then Ally spoke up again, "So, you’re moving in?"
"Yep. Having a fresh start. Is that your house?" You pointed to the one across the street. It was a beautiful house. It fit her.
"It is. I guess we're neighbors."
"I guess so." You smiled and Ally imitated your expression. It was silent again before you both said your goodbyes. Before she could even cross the street, however, you called out her name. She quickly turned around, as if she was already waiting for you to stop her. "Can I take you up on that hand? These boxes are super heavy.
Her smiled grew bigger as she walked towards you. You could've imagined it, but you were pretty sure she even winked at you. Maybe your dream you had of her in college was finally manifestation itself years later.
-
"No way. You still have the year book?" Ally laughed as she grabbed it out of your hands. It was hours later. Helping you move the boxes had turned into opening them and looking through all of your shit.
"Of course! You don't?"
"It definitely got lost somewhere in my house. Ozzy probably ended up using it as a coloring book somewhere along the line." You chuckled lightly and she looked back down and finally opened the book. You noticed, because you couldn't keep your eyes off of her, that she wouldn't remove that grin from her face.
"Let's see our pictures, oh god." Ally flipped the pages, looking through the last names to finally find the ones she was looking for. You were alright with it until you remembered the time that you drew in the book. Your heart rate sped up.
"Ally stop! Don't look at that," you said, trying to grab the book but she turned it away. She was smirking and you were well aware that she already found it.
"Did somebody have a little crush on me?" Her dark eyebrow raised like she was genuinely waiting for an answer. You attempted to act angry, but your blush completely ruined that.
It was red hearts around her picture that you had drew when you had got the book that year. It never occurred to you that you would, one day, be looking through it with her.
You took a deep breath and finally gained enough confidence to speak again, "I guess you'll never know."
"Or maybe I will," Ally mumbled. You weren't sure if you were supposed to hear it so you simply ignored the comment. Either way, your heart nearly pounded out of your chest. You couldn't stop watching her as she flipped through the pages.
"Oh my god," Ally said. The book was titled towards her, you couldn't see what she was laughing at.
"What?" You tried to move closer to her and the book but she turned away.
"Y/n Y//L/n, first place cooking competition. Ally Mayfair, second." She airily laughed. Back then, she would've been at your throat about it. Clearly, times had changed. Maybe even for the the better. "I remember being so mad about this. I think I even ripped this page out of my yearbook."
"Well I bet you’re a better chef now. I haven't cooked in years." She shrugged. "Oh, come on, I'll even challenge you to a cook off."
"Do you realize your setting yourself up for failure, Miss y/n?" She smirked, deviously. She looked at you like she was more hungry for you than anything she could cook.
"Oh, is someone still sour over this?" You pouted, overly fake. She punched your shoulder lightly, playfully.
"Oh you just wait." She moved closer, her face mere inches apart from yours. You thought she would've kissed you, but instead her phone rang.
She sighed, as if you were the only thing she ever wanted to do. As if this phone call had destroyed her whole life. When she looked at her phone, her face fell and she cursed.
"What's wrong?"
"It's Ozzy's friends mom. I completely forgot to pick him up." She quickly stood up from your wooden floors. The furniture had yet to be installed.
"Shit, i'm sorry Ally."
"It's not your fault," she looked into your eyes while she tugged her jacket on, "I should've been keeping track of time."
You followed her to your front door. You knew she had to leave, but even being across the street, you still didn't want to part from her. "How about we plan another day to hang out? I really enjoyed this."
"I did too! And i'm free any day. I'll just be here unpacking. You can stop by whenever," You said. She walked closer to you and you stared at your nose to watch her like an idiot.
She leaned forward and kissed the side of your cheek. Your breath hitched, loudly. You were sure she heard it. "Will do. Bye, y/n."
"Bye..." Was all you could get out. She walked out the door and it suddenly felt too empty and cold. However, your heart, for the first time, felt warm enough to fully warm you up.
-
A day later Monday came. It was your first day of work and you couldn't lie, you still got nervous as you did on the first day of school. After Ally had left the previous day, you had umpacket most of your stuff. It started to feel somewhat like home. Or, maybe you only felt that way because Ally was only a house away.
Just as you walked out of your room, dressed nicely, you heard your doorbell ring. "Coming!" You said loudly and sprinted to the door. You hated making people wait. But you were also curious as to who could be at your house so early in the morning.
You opened the door and the bright morning light nearly blinded you. You squinted. What made you open them wider was the brunette in front of you. "Ally! It's you!"
So, maybe you regret telling her to come over whenever. Not that you didn't want to see her. It was just that you had a panic attack when you did. She made you nervous, in a good way. You just needed to prepare yourself before being in her presence. "It's me!" She smiled brightly, and for eight in the morning, looked quite awake.
"How are you?" You stood there awkwardly, not knowing what exactly to say to her.
"Well I was just on my way to work but I just wanted to drop this by first." You looked down at her hands that she extended to you. She held a couple of developed pictures. "It's pictures from the cooking competitions. I thought you might want them. I have extras anyways."
"Wow, Ally! Thank you. I'll have to look through these after work!" She handed them to you, nodded and smiled.
"Is it your first day? Where do you work?" You think the pictures were a simple excuse to just see you. Either way, you were glad that she stopped by. Somehow, she calmed your first day of work jitters.
“Yes it’s my first day at The Butchery on Main.” Immediately, Ally’s mouth dropped open, the corners raising into a smirk.
“Oh no…is that not a good restaurant?”
“Well, I sure hope it is. That would be bad on my part, considering i’m the owner.” How did I not figure that out already? The manager certainly did not mention Ally’s name during the interview, otherwise you most likely would’ve ran away from the job; being far too anxious to see her again. But then, you ended up meeting her across the street.
“Oh my god, really?”
She nodded, looking even more excited over the fact. “If we’re going to the same place, I wouldn’t mind driving you?”
“Are you sure?” Once more, she nodded. You couldn’t deny more time with her.
You got into the passenger seat of Ally’s car. It was certainly silent as she started her car but when she looked over at you, she noticed how you were slightly trembling. She put her hand on your knee to calm you down; it only increased your nerves. “You okay?”
“Yeah, i’m alright.” You were alright. With Ally, you are. But even being with her made your anxiety spiral; in the best and worst way. Luckily, she let it slide and began driving.
You both finally arrived at the restaurant. The short car ride had been silent, but not uncomfortable. You just enjoyed being in her presence; that was enough for you.
You got out and followed her towards the building. “I’ll train you today, sweetie,” she said and held the door open for you. You almost halted in the doorway at the nickname, but instead smiled and looked down at your feet. Your flustered state surely didn’t go unnoticed by her. It was going to be a long first day.
-
Towards the end of the workday, around eight, the crowds of people began to decrease until it was empty. The employees started to clock out; some of them earlier than others. Ally had finally decided to close for the night. And she kept her promise, sticking beside you the entire day and teaching you what you needed to know.
She walked back into the kitchen after flipping the sign on the door to closed. The lights were dim, the room tranquil, silent beside Ally’s soft voice, “You did really good today.”
She came up beside you, nearly whispering it in your ears. Goosebumps showed themselves on your arm despite the warmth she radiated onto you. You looked up at her, she tucked some fallen hair strands behind your ear slowly, sensually. “Only learned from the best.”
You looked down towards her lips. You could’ve argued that it was a reflex; the soft, pink look just draws you in. Your eyes adverted back to hers and you noticed that she had been doing the exact same thing as you.
But something pulled her out of the haze that she was in. “We should get going.” She didn’t look upset with the incident, simply flustered by it. You enjoyed that you had the same effect on her as she did you.
You both made it back to her car. The ride back to your house was fairly quiet again, besides some chatter from the days work. Before you stepped out of her car, she put her hand atop of yours, brushing her thumb against the soft flesh of the top of it. “Drinks at my house tomorrow night? Please?”
“Of course. I won’t miss it.” She seemed so desperate to see you again, to be around you. How could you possibly refuse?
“Alright, goodnight. I’ll miss you.” She winked your way. The next day was a holiday so you got to calm your nerves before spending an evening with her. You were grateful for that.
“Goodnight, Ally, I’ll miss you too, silly. Thank you for everything today.” She smiled; a simple way to respond to you.
You both went years missing each other. But now it was the impossible to part across the street. Now that you found Ally again, you were afraid to lose her. You wanted to hold her close, make sure that distance and rivalry could never scoop her up again.
-
You stood at the front of Ally's door and rang the doorbell. Your heart beat faster with every unlocking sound of her door, the pulse possibly being heard from the other side.
The door finally opened after what felt like an hour but was truly only mere seconds. She wore her usual tight jeans and a sweater, however, it still persistently made you feel weak every time.
"Hi honey," she said, her smiled grew even wider when you blushed. You could feel your face burning up.
"Hey," you said simply, even if there was more on your mind. You were afraid that if you spoke further, your voice would betray you in this flustered state.
"Come in. Oz is at his grandparents house tonight." As if there was going to be more than just drinking, more than just talking, she had to add the last part in. You walked in past her and she shut the door behind you.
"It's nice in here," you commented, gazing around. Within seconds, she brushed her hand against your back, letting in linger for a couple more seconds. She was extremely close to you, you could tell by her sweet perfume drastically filling you up and her breath against your neck when she spoke.
"Thank you, sweetheart." She's so touchy tonight. "How about we take this to the living room?" You nodded, and noticed how incredibly quiet it was when neither of you were talking.
You both took a seat on the couch. She sat rather close to you, her knee bumping into yours and deciding to stay there. "Let's pop this baby open," Ally says, nodding her head towards the alcohol and two glasses in front of you's. She truly is prepared.
She poured you a drink, handed it, and then poured herself one. You don't know when would be a great time to say that you're a lightweight, but then again, you deserve this. Maybe if you are drunk enough, you'll have the courage to kiss Ally.
Within minutes of talking, you and Ally were nearly finished with the first drink. You could already feel yourself becoming tipsy, and you could tell by how much more giggly and touchy Ally got that she was too.
"So, are you seeing anyone right now?" Ally asked, out of the blue. Her words only slightly slurred. You noticed that alcohol made her have absolutely no censor to her. And that it further brought out her lisp. It was adorable and made you want her more.
"Fuck no," you said, as if the question disgusted you. You couldn't imagine yourself with anybody except for Ally. "I already have my eye on someone." You immediately regretted saying that as soon as it left your mouth.
She moved herself impossibly closer. You noticed she was smirking and raising her eyebrows at this point. "And who do you have those pretty eyes on?" She took another sip of her drink and her knee rubbed against yours once more.
"Hm. I don't know if I can tell you that, miss Ally. I don’t want my secret getting out." You didn't possibly know where this confidence was coming from. Most likely the Alcohol.
"Oh come on, baby" she leaned in closer to you, her lips nearly touching your ear. "Tell me, is she pretty?"
You turned your head and your lips grazed hers as you did so. She was so close that your eyes could hardly adjust to her. "She's so pretty. It's so hard to resist her...at work."
She bit on her lower lip; a habit she used often. She looked as if she was holding back, until she finally broke, "Fuck, y/n, just kiss me already." Her voice dripped desperation and need. Those simple words were all you needed.
What you had wanted for years finally happened. You kissed her deeply, not giving the thought of taking a breath a second thought. She put her hand on the back of your neck and pulled you impossibly closer until you were straddling her lap.
"I want you, Ally," you breathed into her mouth, wrapping your arms around her neck. You pulled yourself closer, pressing your front against hers. "I’ve wanted you for so long."
She kisses you again, and breathlessly responds, "I've wanted you since I first saw you." She pushes the hair away from your face so she can see you better. She looks directly in your eyes. She's serious. You could've had this with her years before.
"Now you’ve got me," you say, and go right back to kissing her, to proving that she truly has you now.

The Purple Dragon
Wilhelmina Venable is the most unapproachable, untouchable individual you had ever met, yet she has a soft spot for you. Why?
Pairing: Wilhelmina Venable x Reader
Word Count: 1600
Warnings: mention of struggling with mental health
Tumblr media
Wilhelmina Venable was a complex individual. Stand-offish, rude, stubborn. The negative descriptions could go on, yet some element of you felt drawn to her.
Throughout your lifetime you had always sought out hidden meanings - in books, signs, & eventually people. Being a firm believer in the fact that everything happens for a reason, meant that you always thought that people acted a certain way because of a certain thing.
There must be an explanation for everything - past or present. Whether this was a desire to control, or to balance the unknown in life, you didn’t know.
All that mattered was your inquisition. And consequently, this would lead you on the greatest adventure of your life.
You had known her for almost a year, the longest lasting assistant she had ever had. It could be due to your competence, your failure to give up, or possibly some element of Ms Venable.
However, this didn’t make working with the redhead any easier. She was called the ‘purple dragon’ for a reason; holding a fiery passion that most considered anger.
But not you.
Because of this, you had always treated Venable with the kindest of hearts. This was not unusual for you, but even the most saint-like person could crumble with one strike of the redhead’s stony glare. Luckily you had everlasting compassion when it came to even the most difficult of souls.
Well, not all the time.
It was a bad day. One of those days in which the bed is so comfy, so warm, so safe, that it seems impossible to leave. Your heart was heavy, & your mind even more so, dragging your body into the heavy depths; sinking & drowning as you were held down by the currents of numbness.
You should have called in sick, taken a day off for yourself, but you weren’t very good at doing this. Being a burden, a difficulty, seemed far worse than pulling yourself through the workday, so you chose to stumble into the office with the countenance of a particularly exhausted zombie.
Wilhelmina was also having a rough day, waking up with severe pain along her spine. This pain was not only physical, it also brought with it a fair share of mental anguish - mostly made up of resentment & irritation at her weakness.
What only made this worse was what the redhead discovered when she arrived at work. She had forgotten to bring her bag, & therefore, her medication.
Fuck, she cursed.
As the pain increased, she became even more aware of the fact that she couldn’t drive in this condition. She didn’t have a phone or any money either, so it’s not like she could call a taxi to pop home. Wilhelmina was just going to have to grit her teeth & bare it for the next few hours, hoping that the gods would spare her the agony just this once.
“Ms Venable? Are you alright?”
You had appeared in the doorway of Wilhelmina’s office, eyes worriedly scanning her hunched over figure.
The redhead snapped up into an unnoticeable posture, feigning normality despite the pained shudder that rippled through her body.
“I’m just fine Miss Y/L/N.”
It was her turn to do a double take, looking at you with narrowed eyes as she scrutinised your appearance.
“On the contrary, it seems that you are not.”
This was entirely in character for Ms Venable to make such a blunt observation, so you were used to it. However, for some reason, today it was the last straw.
You bursted into noisy tears & sank to the ground. Curled up into a ball, you sobbed uncontrollably, not even caring about who was watching. What you were crying about, you weren’t quite sure. All you knew was that you couldn’t take today, & your emotions had just spilled out in a violent flow.
All you wanted was to lay on this cold, uncomforting floor & fall asleep. Or disappear. Anything would be better than this.
"Hey, sh sh sh," a gentle voice shushed your sobs of despair.
The contrast in tone led you to believe that another of your colleagues had come to your rescue, yet you didn't recognize the voice. You looked up in confusion, only to be met with a blur of purple.
Ms Venable; formidable, heartless, cold Ms Venable was knelt next to you.
"Come on, little one. Let's get you up." She said in a whispered tone.
Half in shock, half still in despair, you allowed yourself to be led to the purple sofa by the window. Your body felt so numb, not feeling Ms Venable's tight grip, or the sofa material as you sank into it. All you could do was sit & stare blankly, too overwhelmed internally to make a sound.
A familiar hand just stroked through your messy hair, silently understanding that words were too much. Lulling you into a calm, dreamlike state, this repetitive motion was just what you needed.
As you caught your heavy breaths & your parasympathetic system took hold, Wilhelmina was facing her own battle.
Her back was still in agony, even more so after kneeling & supporting your weight. Yet, somehow, her heart hurt thrice as much.
She never wanted it to be this way. You were the kindest, sweetest, most gentle person she had ever met. There was an essence about you that was addictive to Wilhelmina, a perfume of lightness that she couldn't help but smell until she was perfectly dizzy with love.
That was the issue. Love.
"Ms Venable," you mumbled. "Your back, you can't be sitting like this it-"
"It's okay little one, I'm alright." She spoke gently. "And call me Wilhelmina."
You noticed. You saw her. If possible, the butterflies in Mina's stomach flew more frantically as she tried to control the deep blush that settled on her cheeks.
God, she felt like a lovesick teenager all of a sudden.
"Okay, Mina." You said cheekily, gaining some colour back to your previously pale disposition.
Wilhelmina gave you a stern look, but it was more a caricature of her usual demeanor, turned soft by you.
You both wanted to say something, but were simply lost in each other's eyes. Her pupils were a rich brown, so deep that you could wander in them for hours and never get bored.
Without warning, she moved closer to you, resting her hand onto your knee. You closed the gap, pulling her into a kiss of fiery passion.
Perhaps she did like being a dragon after all, just not in the way she had expected.
Wilhelmina was hypnotic; a drug, and now you had a taste you just couldn't get enough. And from the way she was kissing you, it seemed as if she was just as addicted.
She was the first to pull away, which made your breath shudder with anxiety. What if she regretted this?
But her comforting hand resting on your cheek, and the look of adoration in her eyes told you otherwise.
"What's going on sweet one, hm?"
You broke her gaze, feeling entirely too vulnerable. There was nothing you hated more than explaining your mental state; it didn't even make sense to you so how were you to express it.
"It's just one of those days Mina, where everything feels...wrong." You sighed. "I don't really know how to say it in a way that makes sense."
"It's okay." Wilhelmina nodded. "I think I get where you're coming from. Sometimes when I'm having a bad day with my back, I can struggle with that too."
"You do?" You said in surprise.
"Yes, darling. I do."
"But you're always so strong. I never would have thought."
"People have different ways of showing it, little one." Mina spoke gently. "I snap at people, I get angry, I scream; all because I feel so out of control."
"Oh." You said. It all made sense now.
This time, she captured your lips in a kiss. It was more slow and steady than the former; a way of saying 'we have time'.
So, you sat there for a while, quietly soaking in each other's presence and stealing a kiss every few moments.
If someone had told you an hour ago that Wilhelmina Venable would be looking at you like this, being gentle with you like this, you would have laughed in their face.
Never did you think that your feelings would be returned, and neither did she.
Suddenly the door creaked open, and one of your colleagues stepped in. Instantly you tensed, waiting for Wilhelmina to turn away from you, to be embarrassed by you.
But she sat, unmoving, as her steely gaze fixed on her new target.
"Susan." She said bluntly. "What have I told you about knocking before disturbing me?"
Now Susan was a fairly confident woman, chatty most times. But in the presence of the purple dragon, she crumbled and stuttered.
"I j-just needed-"
"Needed what? Something so important that you decided to barge straight into my office unannounced? An emergency, perhaps?"
"Well, no but-"
"Well then I'd prefer if you let us be, thank you."
And that was that. Susan scuttled out of the room like a scolded child. To your utmost surprise, Wilhelmina pulled you into her side and kissed your hairline.
"No harm will come to you now I'm around, little one."
"I love you Mina."
"I love you most, my sweet."

Lesson Learned
Cordelia Goode x Wilhemina Venable x Ally Mayfair x Reader (mother/ daughter)
“Come on y/n just do it!” Maddison shouts at you getting impatient.
“Chill Mads if she doesn't want to do it she doesn't have to,” Queenie says.
Zoe nods as she looks at you “Don't do it y/n those things are bad for you anyways.”
Maddison rolls her eyes “You guys are such babies. It's fine. All of the older girls smoke. “
“So you do what everyone else does?” Queenie snips back.
“I'm sorry who is the cool one in this group?” Maddison asked.
“Not you!” Queenie says.
The three girls go into a frenzy of arguing back and forth as you held the rolled-up cigarette in between your fingers. It couldn't be that bad you thought to yourself.
You placed the cigarette in between your lips and you lit the end watching the first clouds of smoke roll out.
It really was like a smoke signal making all of the girls go quiet and look toward you.
Maddison smirked “Finally someone with some balls. Now inhale.” she says.
You did as she said breathing in deeply feeling the smoke fill up your lungs and blowing it out quickly.
You choke on the smoke getting caught in your chest causing you to cough loudly.
“Jesus this is awful,” you said coughing in between your words.
“You’ll get used to it,” Madison shrugs as she inhales smoothly and blows out rings of smoke toward Zoe.
“Y/n Y/M/n what on earth are you doing?!” you hear a voice shout behind you.
“Oh shit,” Queenie whispers.
You slowly turned around finding brown eyes glaring at you.
“Ally...I”
“Do you know how dangerous these things are? What they can do to your health?” she asked snatching the cigarette from you and putting it out.
“Give it to me Madison and the rest of whatever you have,” she says holding her hand out.
“You're not my mother. “ the blonde chuckles.
“She's not. But I am your supreme and I'm telling you to hand it over. Now.” Cordelia says walking up behind you.
Madison rolls her eyes as she hands over the pack she got this morning.
“You guys are ridiculous,” she complained.
“Thank you. Now all of you go to your rooms.” Cordelia shouts.
The girls quickly move past the two women heading inside. You tried to hide in the middle of them hoping to escape when you feel a hand on your shoulder pulling you back.
“Not you,” Ally says pulling you towards her.
You sighed as you watched the girls escape to their rooms. It was times like these that you wished you weren't the daughter of the supreme.
“Y/n what were you thinking?” Cordelia asked.
“I'm sorry. Madison said it wasn't a big deal. I was just trying it.”
“You know better than to listen to Madison,” Ally says.
“I know.”
“And you know how I feel about smoking,” Cordelia adds.
“But you let the older girls...”
“The older girls are just that older. They're all old enough to buy them and old enough to make their own choices. It's not a choice that I like but I can't stop them. As long as they follow the rules about keeping it outside and cleaned up that's all I can ask of them.”
“Y/n it's not a habit you want. It's nasty for your health. It makes you smell and it's extremely addicting. “ Ally adds.
“I'm sorry,” you mumbled looking down.
“Honey I know it's hard growing up and you're going to want to try things. But some things aren't worth trying. I promise you aren't missing out when it comes to these.” Cordelia says shaking the box of cigarettes.
“I know. It tastes gross and it made me cough really bad. I won't do it again.”
Your mothers smile “Good!” they both say in unison.
“But... We still have to tell Momma and I don't think she's going to let you off so easily,” Cordelia says.
Your eyes grow wide as you shake your head. “No Mom, please. Please don't tell Momma. She will kill me and Madison.”
“You know we don't keep secrets from one another.”
“I know but...please,” you begged as tears pricked your eyes.
“ I’m sorry sweetheart but you know how this works. The three of us don't hide things from one another and we all make decisions together. We will talk to her and go from there.” Cordelia says as she kisses your forehead.
Cordelia walks back into the house leaving you and Ally outside.
“Well get a good look at me Al. I’ll be dead soon.” you cried.
Ally chuckles as she shakes her head pulling you into her arms for a hug.
“Oh sweets you're not going to die. She loves you too much to kill you. Now Madison on the other hand....”
“Ally!”
She laughs “ I'm kidding. We will talk to her sweets okay? But please promise me you won't smoke again. I love you too much to lose you. “
“I promise Al. “
“Good. I love you, sweets,” she says with a smile.
“I love you too.”
“Y/n Y/M/n!!!” you hear your redhead mother scream from inside.
“Ahh man,” you whined.
Ally chuckles as she lops her arm in yours.
“Come on sweets.”
“I'm never listening to Madison again.” you groaned as Ally all but dragged you into the house.
