Just saw Wind's Nocturne (Luna's Boat Song) on a "Most* Romantic VG Love Songs for Valentines Day" playlist and uh, I must respectfully disagree. (*edit: misread it, it was MOSTLY, not most. ^^;;; Does that negate the need for this ramble? No. :B)

Not to get too spoilery if you haven't played through Lunar:SSSC, but the context of the song super isn't "Oh, I am feeling some romantic yearning tonight!"

It's an "I want" song with the basic message "Oh damn there's definitely something different/wrong about me, sure could use some divine/cosmic intervention about that."

I can understand the confusion though, the song is preceded by a scene where Luna frets over maybe having feelings for Alex (her BROTHER BY ADOPTION btw) and the phrasing from the song of "foolish dreamers" (implying a false plurality in this lonely experience) and "there's a hole within my soul/what will fill this emptiness inside of me" (which could be misconstrued as meaning "I need a romantic partner to fill that emptiness".)

BUT DO NOT BE FOOLED. Up until this point, Luna has been tormented by nightmares/visons of her birth, having just awoken from one before going above deck to sing about her complicated teenage feelings. Her narrative in the game up to that point has been 70% "wtf is wrong with me", 10% "maybe i have the hots for my brother idk" and 20% nagging every npc and party member she comes in contact with. (Don't get me wrong, I adore Luna but I calls it like I sees it: the kid is a mess.)

Wind Nocturne is about that inner turmoil of not knowing yourself, and praying desperately that one day you'll be granted true self aware clarity. It's romantic in the sense that it's full of romanticism, but it's not romantic in the Valentines Day Fall In Love Swoon Swoon way.

I'd say that's just my onion, but no I'm gonna stand my ground and say I think you'd be super misreading the situation and context of the song if you think it's a love song.

All that said, I wouldn't object to seeing it on an AroAce Palentine's Day playlist. :3c

What are Ben's "love interests" like in dimension 12

Since Julie is the endgame in my AU and Ben 12 is a sweet and loyal guy, he wouldn't be interested romanticly in Eunice or Ester in the first place.

Don't know if I'm gonna do any Elena-related stuff since I was never really interested in that part of UAF, though I like the idea of making this line just for the sake of showing my Ben actually realizing it's not Julie when Elena poses as her. So, yeah, idk about that.

I'm not doing Jennifer Nocturne or Drew Saturday as love interests.

Not sure yet whether Looma and Attea would be interested in him, but I'm leaning towards not interested, since I was thinking of scratching the whole Kevin's deal with Gar, and my Ben is highly unlikely to flirt with Attea in his alien form (the only possible way she would be interested if she herself misinterpreted his polite behavior as flirting).

The only one who would be able to make a bit of an akward tension is Kai, since he would still have a short crush on her in childhood before being turned off by her interest in him only in his Loboan form, but the complication would mostly be from her side, since, by the time the two meet again, Ben is with Julie and is no longer interested in Kai.

Wonderful Things That May or May Not Be Wonderful!!! In Shinto mythology, Kodama and Sudama are forest spirits said to reside in the trees and rocks of the forest respectively.  Once revered as kami or gods, overtime they became associated as yokai but they were and are always tied to the care, protection, and flourishing of Japan's forests. In the Shin Megami Tensei series of games, they appear as floating paper children based off the Kodama from the Studio Ghibli film, Princess Mononoke and they are super adorable. Their simple designs paired with stretchy attack animations and kite-like movement give them playful trickster vibes. Their wind/force magic and support skills definitely have come handy in Persona 5 Royal and SMT III: Nocturne making them a joy to have around. Especially Sudama in the latter whose speed buffs were instrumental in helping me take down one of the most notorious bosses in the game. What more can I say? I think both these rascals are wonderful! I hope they get into P3 Reload.

I am having absolutely so much fun with Flight Rising!

I had started a few years ago played the Fairgrounds games a bit and decided it. Really was quite boring. And left. Until 3 minths ago when I came back.

That's because my crippling social anxiety never LET me really 'play' the game.

Its not really a game, its a website where other dragon lovera from all over come and do fun stuff with their funky little dudes!

There's Dominance Battles, monthly festivals with themed goodies, challenges, scavenger hunts, raffles and so much more!

Role Playing and art trading and lore making and dragon bio's and its just. So much fun.

The COMMUNITY is what makes it fun. Just sitting alone playing some games, maybe doing a bit Coliseum, its lonely. There really ia so much more to do if you partake in the forum community. Theres a little of something for everyone!

You could help plan. You can make spreadsheets. You can just participate or you could help give supplies to new joiners. You can be the person who reminds planners when its time, or the other players.

Yiu could make the little badges you earn for achievements. SO MUCH!

And the community is so very kind.

Anyways, I have adhd that isnt too bad, lets me focus sometimes. But the fluctuating hyperfixations are forever. I really hope i dont move on for a good while. I dont THINK so, theres always something new to plan for!
