trying to find a cheap bench online that i can cover in plaster and make it resemble a ~3000 year old limestone block that's been sitting there for those 3000 years, was burnt at least once, and now has the fun texture where it's been weathered by the rain because i'm working on the ~archaeology site~ corner near my books. so far i've got a metal folding screen (giving some locked-up site vibes), a bunch of boards to make a broken wall out of, 3d sticker stones for the 'inside' of the wall, and a giant poster of an olive grove and the sea for that 'background' through the broken wall, and a bunch of ivy hanging about that i can braid and make 'cling' to the wall.

yes i'm going to be breaking out my rusty, rusty painting skills and putting a fresco on the 'wall' and then gouging and smashing at it so it will break in places.

#lbr it will probably end up being that ikea kids bench that has a side that folds up because i am nothing if not fond of extra storage #and i don't want to hurt any of the benches i'm finding on auction sites and such because they're beautiful wooden ones
