Me an actual Polish person: If you are going to make Magneto make babies in Poland, Sony, at least you could follow the fucking rules of surname making, because “Gurzsky” is NOT a properly spelled surname in Polish. The proper spelling would be “Górski” and in relation to Nina, because she is a woman, the surname would be changed into “Górska” to follow the polish grammatical rules.

BTW if you are interested “góra” means “mountain” and “górski” is an adjective to describe something being of the mountain (modern) [like for example “droga górska” = mountainous road / mountain’s road], being very high (old polish) or someone who is from the mountains (old polish). As the surname it could literally be translated as “someone from the mountains” but someone who has that surname doesn’t necessarily have to live in the mountains as it’s just a very popular polish surname that literally anybody could have.

Also, fun fact, Nina is not technically properly polish name either, BUT it could be in a shortened form if Nina’s actual name was “Janina” or “Antonina”. Janina is a name that I usually associate with older women, because this is one of the polish names that just sounds old (other offenders are Barbara and Halina). The second one (Antonina) is funny because this is literally feminine version of Antoni (Anthony) so technically Nina could be also called Tony / Toni :D

[If you doubted my ability to insert Tony Stark into every post, then now you have a proof that I can and most probably will, lol.]

So her name would be Janina Górska, in short “Nina”.

Other short versions of the name “Janina” are:

When @can-of-pringles made me join Pinterest last year and the site made me choose topics, I discovered that you can crochet practically everything, even whole costumes. I'm so fond Peter's goggles from Apocalypse, so since November, I think, I've been working on them on and off, and yesterday I finally finished them.

My face is shy, so I made this good boy stand in for me.

I did use some wire, but overall the goggles are still quite wobbly. As an example, who would have thought that the black frame on the bottom (where there's more gravity and less support) would still move backwards so much? Oh well, still pretty proud of the result, especially as I didn't have a pattern to work with.

Spent the day binging all 4 X-Men Prequels.

First Class wasn’t as good as I remember, but it’s still leaps and bounds better than its two predecessors. Kevin Bacon played the most interesting antagonist in this series outside of Magneto. If only Fassbender could decide on an accent for Erik. Dude randomly turns American like 5 times.

Days of Future Past is, objectively, the best in the main saga. I never get tired of it.

I get why people dislike Apocalypse. For one thing, it is dreadfully slow until the last act. It’s also the longest X-Men movie for no discernible reason?? Oscar Isaac was cast to play a Generic Doomsday Villain with no real personality or motivation and people wonder why he was initially reticent to do Moon Knight.

Dark Phoenix is as awful as I remember it. The script is dreadful and the performances are flat. McAvoy and Fassbender could not save this one. AKA the one with the most Narm. Really suffered from condensing what was originally a 4-hour two-parter into one movie that’s only 105 minutes without credits. I actually prefer the absolutely insulting adaptation of The Last Stand to this. How do you fuck up the Dark Phoenix Saga not once but TWICE????? Also, how dare they waste Jessica Chastain like that?? Like, queen, that was Razzie material.

Also really weird placements for their obligatory PG-13 “one allowed fuck”
