And so our story begins…
Long ago, on a cold Winter’s day in a kingdom high on a mountaintop, something amazing happened. Two identical baby girls were born at the exact same moment!
The first, a baby princess, and the king and queen were overjoyed to welcome their precious new daughter, and Princess Marinette would have only the finest!
The second, Socqueline, was the daughter of two common paupers, who loved her every bit as much as the king and queen loved the princess. But due to their poverty, they worried greatly about how they could provide for their baby daughter.
Years went by, and Marinette would be taught her royal responsibilities, while Socqueline worked long, grueling hours as a seamstress for the cruel Madam Audrey Bourgeois. With such different lives, it was no surprise that their paths never crossed…until fate decreed differently.
It was the unfortunate truth that Marinette’s kingdom was on the brink of falling into destitution, for all the gold in the mines had run out! Greatly worried for her people, the now widowed Queen Sabine made the decision to betroth her daughter to the wealthy young queen of a nearby kingdom, Jessica.
On one fateful day, Marinette was preparing for the various events she had to attend throughout the day, wishing that for once in her life, she could just have a day to herself. At the same time, in the village, Socqueline works in the dress shop, alongside her friend, fellow seamstress Margo, dreaming of the day she can pay off the debts that keep her in Audrey’s service, and pursue her dream of being a singer.
As Marinette continues preparing for the day, she gazes wistfully out the window at her royal tutor and friend of many years, Adrien. If she could have her own choice, he would be the man she married. It’s then that she’s visited by her mother, bearing another engagement gift from Queen Jessica, which Marinette graciously accepts.
Miles away, in the royal mines, two young men, Louis and Xavier, are digging up the very last of the gold for their employer, as Louis berates Xavier for placing a ‘useless rock’ in the cart. (Which is revealed to actually be a precious geode as it cracks on the ground) They panic and try to hide when they hear their boss approaching, but Bob Roth, the queen’s ‘loyal’ advisor finds them anyway, accompanied by his pompous doberman, Kouki, and Louis presents him with the last of the mine’s gold.
Bob dramatically proclaims his plan for the gold, to marry the princess under the promise of using his funds to save the kingdom, thus becoming king. (Even his evil henchmen are a little eeked, because Bob is like 40, while Marinette just turned 18…) Bob becomes angry, however, when Louis reveals the queen’s plan for the princess to marry Queen Jessica, but quickly thinks of a way to circumvent this…setback.
He’ll have his henchman abduct the princess, claiming she ran away, just long enough for the wedding to be called off. Only then will he bring her back, and be promised her hand by the grateful queen! (Or so he thinks. Queen Sabine’s not going to marry her daughter off to a man her age, but Bob’s ego keeps him from realizing that.)
Back at the palace, Marinette’s beloved pet cat, Tikki, is being chased by Kouki through the palace, though she cleverly evades him by convincing him he lost his prized golden tooth. While this is happening, a carriage arrives from another kingdom, carrying the ambassador and a ‘page’ who is actually Queen Jessica in disguise, wanting to at least meet her bride before the wedding.
In Marinette’s quarters, Adrien visits the princess and she engages in their usual banter, informing him that some gold that was supposedly found on the borders of the kingdom is actually iron pyrite. She is confused when he refers to her as ‘your highness’, asking why the sudden formality. Adrien explains that Queen Sabine sent for her to meet the ambassador. ‘Page’ Jessica presents the Queen with another gift for the princess, while the ambassador inquires about a planned date for the wedding. Queen Sabine suggests a week from that day, which incites Bob to cry out in alarm, though he quickly covers himself.
Back in Marinette’s room, the princess stands on the balcony, gazing longingly beyond the walls, when Adrien approaches her. He invites her with him to see the village, and Marinette is thrilled to be out in her kingdom for the first time, accompanied by Tikki, and unbeknownst to them, Kouki… Adrien shows her around the village, even giving her her favorite flower, roses. As Adrien goes to fetch them some food, Marinette sees people boarding up their homes and shops, once again worrying greatly about the state of her kingdom. It’s then that she hears a beautiful voice singing, and goes to follow it…
Socqueline has managed to get away from the dress shop for a moment and is singing in the town square as she often would, her roguish cat Plagg (who barks and behaves like a dog!) is collecting coins in a can from the people who enjoy her singing. Shortly after Marinette arrives to hear her better, Madam Audrey shows up, confiscating the money Socqueline earned and ordering her to get back to work, deriding her dreams of singing.
As Socqueline gathers her things, someone drops a coin in her tin and compliments her song. She stands to thank them…and is shocked to find she seems to be looking back at her own face, absent a mirror. Marinette is equally stunned, and the two can only stare in awe. While this is happening, Tikki is sending flirting vibes to Plagg, and you know he’s picking up on that.
The two girls introduce themselves, Socqueline bowing respectfully as she realizes she is speaking to the princess. The two begin to talk and realize they’re actually quite a bit alike, unhappy in their current situations and wishing to escape them. They also discover the only real physical difference between them is that Socqueline doesn’t have a crown-shaped birthmark on her shoulder like Marinette does.
It’s at that moment that Adrien returns, stunned by the uncanny resemblance between the two girls. Unfortunately, Kouki also decides to make his appearance and begins to chase Tikki, with Plagg rushing over the rooftops to come to her aid. Kouki backs Tikki into a dead-end, only for Plagg to jump down in front of her and cause enough of a scene with his barking that Kouki runs off, Tikki knocking a bucket of rotten fish on his head in the process. Tikki then thanks Plagg for coming to her rescue, flirting a little in the process as their humans catch up to them.
Unfortunately, it’s at that moment Marinette must return to the palace, but not before she promises to have Socqueline come sing for the royal court one day, much to the other girl’s excitement.
Later that night at the palace, Tikki is lured from Marinette’s room as the princess is sleeping by a toy mouse, and captured in a crate. Awakened by her cat’s alarmed mewls, Marinette goes to investigate, calling for Tikki. Just as she locates and frees Tikki, she’s captured in a sack and taken away by Louis and Xavier!
In an isolated cottage deep in the forest, Marinette is locked in a back room while Tikki is thrown out into the dirt, much to her anger. It’s here that she meets Wayzz, a kind elderly horse. Marinette demands that she be released, but her cries fall on deaf ears. It’s then that Bob shows up, checking that they have Marinette and that she has no clue he’s involved. Now knowing Bob’s true nature, Wayzz assists Tikki in getting back into the house to help her princess, unfortunately through the dusty and dirty chimney.
Back at the palace, Queen Sabine goes to wake her daughter, accompanied by Bob, who ‘finds’ a note on the princess’ desk, informing the distraught queen that she has run away to escape her arranged marriage. Bob assures the queen he will send out search parties immediately. However, when they go to inform the ambassador, Adrien notices something strange about the note. It’s scented with lilac, when Marinette has only ever used rose to scent her stationary… Suspicious, he resolves to go look for Marinette himself.
He makes his way to Madam Audrey’s dress shop, and asks to speak to Socqueline. The seamstress is thrilled, believing Marinette sent for her to perform at the palace. Adrien manages to get her attention, and explains the dire situation, and that he needs Socqueline to act as Marinette until he can find the real one. Socqueline is incredibly apprehensive, knowing the trouble this could mean, but agrees to do it to help her new friend.
They make their way to the palace, where Adrien gives Socqueline a crash course in behaving as a princess should while Plagg enjoys their new housing situation. After a while, Socqueline begins to get the hang of things…and learns how Adrien really feels about the princess.
Just as the ambassador and his ‘page’ are about to leave, Adrien presents ‘Marinette’ before the court (taking the queen’s glasses so to further protect their secret), which alarms Bob. The ‘princess’ apologizes for running away, assuring it won’t happen again. With the wedding back on, the ambassador assures that the young queen will be there tomorrow to meet her bride and prepare for the wedding. In a huff, Bob excuses himself to go see to ‘preparations’, unknowingly shedding some pine needles, which Plagg picks up. He brings them to Adrien, who wonders what the queen’s advisor is doing in the western forest…but he can’t follow him just yet, as the queen wants to hear how he found her daughter.
Meanwhile, back at the cottage, Marinette tricks her two captors into opening the door by acting as if she is being attacked by a ‘ghost’ (Tikki under a bed sheet). Thankfully, Louis and Xavier are both dimwits and it works like a charm, the princess escaping the house and fleeing in Wayzz’s cart.
Adrien arrives in the forest, following Bob and ends up at the cottage as Louis is trying to cover up Marinette’s escape (with Xavier posing in bed as Marinette), which obviously fails. Bob wonders why Marinette wouldn’t tell her mother she was abducted and deduces something is off… Unfortunately, Adrien accidentally alerts them to his presence as he discovers Bob intends to become king, and is summarily captured.
Marinette arrives at the palace gates, but is turned away by the guards, who believe the princess is already inside, much to her confusion. She makes her way to the village, where she’s spotted by Audrey and dragged back to the dress shop. It’s here she meets Margo, and is outraged when Audrey insults the girl for not having her work done, calling her a ‘lazy cow’. Audrey laughs when Marinette identifies herself as the princess, claiming she knows the girl personally and calling her ‘Socqueline’, and realization dawns on Marinette. Thankfully, Margo does believe her! She assists Marinette in tying a message to Tikki’s collar with her insignia ring, and the cat slips out.
The next morning, Socqueline wakes up in the princess’s bed and is still getting used to behaving as a princess should. The maid draws a bath for her, and during this time, she hears Plagg trying to meow, in order to help them fit in better, but she assures her canine feline (through song) that he is perfect just the way he is! Queen Jessica happens to hear her singing, and makes the decision to reveal herself as the disguised page.
The next day, Bob escorts Socqueline to meet with Queen Jessica, to discuss plans for the wedding. There’s an obvious spark between the two, as they discover their mutual love for music, performing a duet together. The two spend the day together, a bond quickly forming, only increasing Socqueline’s guilt about her deception…
That night, Tikki finally makes it to the palace, but the one to find her is…Bob! He makes his way to the dress shop, and Marinette is relieved to see him, as he quickly hurries her away. Marinette’s relief quickly turns to horror when Bob imprisons her in the royal mines, where he’s also thrown Adrien! He reveals his plan is to now marry the queen instead of the princess, and leaves for the castle, collapsing the entrance to the mine to trap the two and Tikki, Wayzz watching on with guilt.
Back at the palace, Jess presents Socqueline with a beautiful ring to commemorate their blooming feelings and the engagement…just as Bob storms in and has guards apprehend Socqueline, exposing her as a fake by showing she doesn’t have the royal birthmark, devastating Queen Sabine. Bob claims she was in cahoots with Adrien to dispose of the princess and take over the kingdom, and shows them the ring he held onto as proof of Marinette’s ‘demise’ in the mines where she was held captive. As the queen grieves, Socqueline protests that she was only trying to help the princess, but is thrown in the dungeon, as Jess can only watch in shock, and Plagg quickly follows.
Back in the throneroom, Bob proposes to the queen to save the kingdom by offering to split his fortune (the stolen gold from the mines)…if she marries him. Reluctantly, Queen Sabine agrees to save her people from starvation and destitution.
Outside the dungeons, Wayzz locates Plagg and asks if he is the friend Tikki spoke of. He takes him to the mine, where Adrien is digging with a pickax to try and free himself and Marinette, and Marinette discovered the mine’s abundance of beautiful geodes. They confess their love for one another, and it’s then that Plagg is able to reach them by digging up an old mine shaft. Adrien continues digging, and accidentally opens a spring of water! Moving more rocks, the cave quickly begins to flood, and they ride the rising water up in an old mine cart.
Back in the dungeons, Socqueline lulls the guard to sleep with her singing, and is able to steal the key, freeing herself. But as she runs, she is grabbed by another guard, who is revealed to be Queen Jess in disguise! She doesn’t believe Socqueline to be the villain Bob made her out to be, and the two flee the dungeon just in time to meet up with Marinette and Adrien, and plan to stop the wedding.
In the palace courtyard, the wedding between Bob and the queen is beginning. But before they can say their ‘I do’s’, Marinette arrives, showing her birthmark as proof of her identity, overjoying Sabine. Marinette reveals Bob and his plans and Sabine calls for his arrest. Bob flees the guards on Wayzz, Adrien and Jess giving chase on their own horses, while Marinette and Socqueline apprehend Louis and Xavier. Tikki and Plagg confront Kouki, who loses his precious golden tooth ramming into a table when he charges at them, causing him to run off in despair.
Wayzz, fed up with Bob’s mistreatment, turns around and carries Bob right back to the guards, allowing him to be arrested…after he’s thrown into the wedding cake!
Marinette explains to her mother that Adrien is the one she wishes to marry, and Sabine wants her daughter to be happy, but knows they also must provide for their people. Thankfully, Marinette has a plan: the beautiful crystals in the geodes! With her heading the effort, a new jewelry industry blossoms, saving the kingdom from bankruptcy!
And as for Audrey, without the business from the castle, the cruel woman went out of business! And Margo opened up an even more successful dress and jewelry shop in her place!
Socqueline leaves the kingdom to pursue her dream of being a traveling singer, Marinette having paid off her debt to Audrey, but not before Jess gives her the ring back, which she accepts before she rides off to follow her heart.
Five years later, after Socqueline had traveled far and wide, she decides to return to the kingdom, reuniting with her friend the princess…and Marinette and Adrien had a beautiful joint wedding with Socqueline and Jess.
And they all lived happily ever after…along with Tikki and Plagg’s many, many, many kittens!
When you live your dream, you’ll find destiny is written in your heart! Leave your thoughts in the comments and reblogs, and keep an eye out for the next installment!

All unnamed characters
All characters with a name who I forgot
All named characters I straight up forgot to mention
---
A note: I have purposefully excluded the children but not the characters based on IRL people.
The children are excluded because as in real life, they are constantly changing and are more prone to feeling judged by society if we try to bog them down with answering a question with a straight answer versus letting them vibe however they are.
The characters based on IRL people were included because the people they were based on may be queer, we just don't know, we also wont assume. Also because once a character is created, they belong to the public and the public will assign any headcanons to them regardless of what was intended or what is true.
---
Further note: if the point of this post flew past you, its that anyone can be queer, there are no signs, someone may be in closet.
You never know who around is queer, even if they seem to scream "I am not queer" there's always a chance they are, whether they know it or not
And if you as a person, decide to spout off your hatred of anything queer, because you think, "there's no way someone near me is queer", I want you to think again
Because there are many flavors of being queer
And all you're doing by being hateful, is ensuring that when you need help, no one will be around and no one will want to be around

What's in a Name — Miraculous Ladybug
6. OTHER
6.1. SEASON 1
6.1.1. Prince Ali
Ali: "lofty, sublime" in Arabic.
6.1.2. Aza, Vincent
Aza: Breton form of "Adam", meaning "man". Is a first name, not a surname.
Vincent: from Latin "vincere", meaning "to conquer.
6.1.3. Barbot, Théo
Barbot: probably from French "barboter", which, among other meanings, is used coloquially to mean "to steal" (probably in reference to him stealing Cat Noir's identity). Originally, it was supposed to be Camiel, but this was changed later in development.
Théo: most likely a short form of Théodore, meaning "gift from God" in Greek.
6.1.4. Beauréal, Aurore
Beauréal: alternate spelling of French "boréal". Together with her first name, it's a pun on "aurore boréal", French for the aurora borealis.
Aurore: "aurora", in French.
6.1.5. Bustier, Caline
Bustier: French word for a tight-fitting strapless women's top.
Caline: from French "câliner", meaning "to cuddle".
6.1.6. Caquet, Mireille
Caquet: from French "caquet", meaning "cackle, chuckling".
Mireille: from the Occitan word "mirar", meaning "to admire".
6.1.7. Cataldi, Alec
Cataldi: from an Italian first name probably derived from the Irish name "Cathal", meaning "strong in battle".
Alec: English short form of Alexander.
6.1.8. Chamack, Nadja & Manon
Chamack: meaning unknown. Sounds identical to the surname of Moroccan footballer Marouane Chamakh, meaning Nadja and Manon are probably Moroccan.
Nadja: German and Slovene spelling of the Slavic name Nadia, meaning "hope". That, or an alternate spelling of the Arabic name Nadiyya, meaning "tender, moist, delicate", which I think is more probable.
Manon: French diminutive form of Marie.
6.1.9. D'Argencourt, Armand
D'Argencourt: most likely a reference to Agincourt, the site of a famous battle in the Hundred Years' War where England won a victory that crippled France. Might also probably be derived from the French phrase "à court d'argent", meaning "short of money".
Armand: French form of "Herman", a Germanic name meaning "army man".
6.1.10. Damocles, Denis
Damocles: "glory of the people", in Greek, it is most likely a reference to the legend of the sword of Damocles. I don't know what this legend has to do with his character, but it is what it is.
Denis: French form of "Dionysios", ultimately from the name of the Greek god Dionysus.
6.1.11. Fu, Wang
Fu: a Chinese surname which is ultimately derived from a word meaning "teacher, instructor".
Wang: "king", in Mandarin.
6.1.12. Grimault, Simon
Grimault: probably a French form of Italian and Spanish surname "Grimaldo", which is ultimately derived from two Germanic roots meaning "mask" and "rule". Badass.
Simon: from a Hebrew name meaning "hearing, listening". Is in reference to the game Simon Says.
6.1.13. Haprèle, Fred
Fred: short form of Frederic, a Germanic name meaning "peaceful ruler".
6.1.14. Kubdel, Jalil & Alim
Jalil: "great, exalted", in Arabic.
Alim: "learned, expert, scholar", in Arabic.
6.1.15. Mendeleiev, Olga
Mendeleiev: in reference to Russian chemist Dimitri Mendeleev, of periodic table fame.
Olga: Russian form of the Old Norse name Helga, meaning "holy, blessed". This was the name of one of Dimitri Mendeleev's daughters.
6.1.16. Placide I.T.
Placide I.T.: a pun on French "placidité", meaning "placidity".
6.1.17. Raincomprix, Roger
Roger: from a Germanic name meaning "famous spear". Together with his last name, it forms a pun: "Roger Raincomprix" sounds like "Roh j'ai rien compris.", which translates to something like "Er, I didn't understand anything."
6.1.18. Sancoeur, Nathalie
Sancoeur: from "sans coeur", French for "heartless".
Nathalie: from the Late Latin word for Christmas, "Natalia".
6.1.19. Ramier, Xavier
Ramier: from the French word for the wood pigeon (Columba palumbus).
Xavier: ultimately from a Basque place name meaning "new house".
6.1.20. Roth, Bob & Xavier-Yves
Roth: from German "rot", meaning "red".
Bob: short form of "Robert", from a Germanic name meaning "bright fame".

I have read every single miraculous fiction you've posted and I love them all so much, but by far my favorite line that I have ever read is "XY was not having a very funky fresh day." Fantastic. A Masterpiece. 100 out of 10. Thank you for blessing me on this day 🙏 🙏🙏
XD I am insanely amused by this. Thank you for sharing this gem. I'm really happy that you got such a kick out of it.
(In case others are wondering, the line is from LuXY (Luka/XY): “Hey! I was gonna eat that!” – LGBTIQA+.)
Friends, you heard it here first: in the past three years, the best I've come up with is "XY was not having a very funky fresh day." XD
But in all seriousness, thank you very much for reading all of my works regardless of pairing or premise. It really means a lot to me to have supporters like you who are willing to go down wormholes like LuXY with me. Thank you for blessing me by showing my stories love. <3
Thanks for the Ask!

Crazy conspiracy Rich kid Senti-Theory:
I know I posted about it before but I cannot find the original one now, so here we go anyways.
Like the others, Adrien is able to be manipulated via the relevant jewelry.
However, from the letter of his name, he was the first.  It is highly possible that he isn’t alone, since we know Felix is for sure.  Notably, Chloé, Felix, Kagami, and Xavier-Yves were also at his father’s weird party.
After all we saw in Season 4, Tomoe’s walking stick, Audrey’s necklace, and Bob Roth’s necklace or ring are all looking a little suspect right now.
It also might explain why Andre struggles to do more than coddle to get Chloé to behave...
Now, I can’t help but notice how many letters from the alphabet are missing from the list there.  There were a bunch of other adults at Gabriel’s secret backroom masquerade.
What is five Senti children is actually the lowest possible estimate?

Miraculous Barbie: The Magic of Pegasus (Starring the Bourgeois/Lee Sisters)
Welcome to the fourth chapter of my Barbie movie adaptation series, starring Zoe and Chloe! @artzychic27 @imsparky2002
"There is always hope!"
CAST:
Zoe Lee as Princess Annika
Chloe Bourgeois as Princess Brietta
Cosette Bellamy as Aidan
Pollen as Shiver
Xavier-Yves “XY” Roth as Wenlock
Mme. Dahlia Winters as Rayla, the Cloud Queen
Candace Fletcher, Staci Kwan & Eloise Matuidi as the Cloud Princesses
Audrey & Andre Bourgeois as Queen Elvina & King Marcus
Wayhem as Farris
And so our story begins…
Long ago, in a faraway and snowy kingdom, there lived a princess. Her name was Zoe…and today was her 16th birthday! Zoe’s father, King Andre, approached his daughter’s room, armed with her birthday present…only to discover she wasn’t there, immediately sending the whole palace into a panic and infuriating her mother, Queen Audrey. (If they had bothered actually looking in her room, they would have found the note she left.)
Meanwhile, a ways away from the palace, the young princess is enjoying her favorite pastime, ice skating, at which she’s the best in the kingdom! Just then, she happens to crash into an adorable polar bear cub, who she quickly befriends, and seeing she seems to have no family, names her Pollen for her love of flowers and decides to take her home!
But when she arrives, she finds her angry mother and worried father waiting for her. Her mother reminds her that she is absolutely forbidden to leave the castle, with her father hastily adding ‘without permission’. Frustrated with their constant restrictions, Zoe asks for the hundredth time why they are so against her leaving the palace, and for the hundredth time, her mother’s glare silences her father’s attempts to explain.
Disgusted that Zoe brought a wild animal home with her and fed up with her ‘defiance’, Audrey forbids Zoe from ever going skating again, devastating the girl, who runs to her room in tears as Andre feels this may be going too far.
That night, as Zoe lays on her bed, frustratedly ranting to Pollen about her controlling parents, she hears music out of her open window. Stepping out on the balcony, she sees many of the villagers skating on the frozen town square, having a celebration to honor the princess’ birthday, go figure. Smiling to herself, Zoe decides that, what better way would there be to thank them for thinking of her today than to make an appearance? She almost never gets to meet any of her subjects, after all!
Donning her favorite dress and stealing back her skates from where Audrey hung them, Zoe sneaks out of the palace. As Zoe arrives, everyone seems to freeze as they watch the princess skate, but she quickly resumes the party with her good humor, skating with a few of the village children before dazzling everyone with her amazing talent on the ice.
But it’s at that moment that the sky is filled with a strange green mist, and from this a griffin swoops down, a man with an arrogant but dangerous air about him astride it. Swaggering up to Zoe, the man declares she is indeed the most beautiful girl in all the land. He introduces himself as Xavier…her future husband, which Zoe does not take very well at all, because who does this guy think he is?
Having seen the mist appear in the sky, Audrey and Andre arrive, with the latter telling Xavier firmly to leave Zoe alone, a demand which is sneeringly denied, along with a smug reminder of what happened to their ‘other daughter’, which confuses Zoe, because since when she did she have a sister?
Having had enough of this situation, Zoe demands answers from her parents and for Xavier to leave, because no way in HELL is she going to marry him! In response, Xavier uses his staff to turn both her parents and all of her subjects into statues, with the ultimatum that he will only free them if she gives in, horrifying Zoe. He also adds that she’s more than welcome to join them if she’s still getting cold feet.
But it’s at that moment that something crazy happens. A beautiful golden pegasus with a shining blonde mane swoops down from the sky and rescues Zoe, whisking her away from Xavier, who warns that Zoe has three days to change her mind before his spell becomes permanent.
As they ride through the sky, the dumbstruck Zoe is surprised to discover the pegasus is able to speak, explaining that Xavier is an incredibly powerful sorcerer who takes what he wants when he wants, and that she’s taking Zoe to the Cloud Kingdom, where she’ll be safe. But when Zoe asks who she is and why she saved her, the pegasus answers that her name is Chloe but hesitates on the second question.
They then arrive at the beautiful cloud palace, and are greeted by the three princesses, Candace, Staci and Eloise. Zoe then meets the Cloud Queen, Dahlia, and explains her situation as best she can with Chloe’s help. Dahlia gives her a beautiful new dress and a comfortable room to stay in, and it’s then that Zoe learns from Staci that Chloe, as in the pegasus, is her sister.
Sensing Chloe’s distress, Dahlia steps up to explain. Just like with Zoe, it had been Chloe’s 16th birthday, when Xavier appeared from the sky. When Chloe, just like her sister, had refused to marry him, and her parents ordered him to leave, he transformed the young princess into a pegasus, inspired by the kingdom’s coat of arms. With the spell unable to be broken, Chloe had fled the kingdom and taken refuge with Dahlia and her girls. Zoe is extremely upset, because why the hell was she never told any of this?! Chloe honestly can’t think of a good answer in defense of their parents.
Desperate to save her people and help her sister, Zoe is certain there must be a way to defeat Xavier, with Staci suggesting something called a Wand of Light, only to be shushed by Candace, who reminds her that Chloe doesn’t like talking about it. At Zoe’s insistence, Dahlia explains that a Wand of Light has the most powerful magic of all, but you can’t just find one, you have to build it. And to do that, you need three things: a measure of courage, a ring of love, and a gem of ice lit by Hope’s eternal flame.
Zoe is sure that they can gather the components in time, it’s only three things after all! But Chloe bitterly insists that it’s only a fairytale, she’s tried for years and accomplished nothing. But after encouragement from her sister, she agrees to give it one more shot! Before they leave, Chloe takes Zoe to see the Cloud Princesses paint the clouds for the sunrise, filling the sky with beautiful color and giving both girls the courage they need. Dahlia gives Chloe a necklace with a magical bell that she can ring if she ever needs the Cloud Queen’s help, and they’re off.
Meanwhile, back at his dark palace, Xavier is, as always, cruelly berating his three previous wives, who he transformed into trolls once he grew bored of them, and forces to serve his every whim. He prepares the castle to welcome his new bride, hoping this one won’t…disappoint him.
The two sisters begin their journey in the deepest, darkest part of the Forbidden Forest, a place filled with shadows and monsters. They’re both more than a little rattled…even more so when they hear footsteps besides their own, and a frightened Pollen falls through a hole down a long slide, and the sisters are suddenly caught in a net trap! It’s at this moment, they meet Cosette, a surly young blacksmith who’s lived in the Forbidden Forest for years. She cuts the two down and they exchange introductions. Zoe asks where the tunnel Pollen fell through leads to, to which Cosette only sarcastically answers ‘big trouble’. When her request to be taken there is declined, Zoe promptly jumps down the tunnel, leading Cosette and Chloe to deduce that she’s crazy.
It turns out that the tunnel empties directly into the cooking pot of a giant named Ollie, who plans to cook the princess and her cub for lunch. However, with some quick thinking, Zoe is able to get him to try and prove his strength as a giant compared to others she’s met (a lie, but he doesn’t need to know that), culminating in him chaining himself to the wall, while Zoe uses her hair ribbon and a fork as a grappling rope to climb out, bidding the giant goodbye before he manages to collapse his entire house on himself!
When Zoe reunites with her sister, and surprisingly Cosette, who cared a bit more than they let on about Zoe getting hurt. It’s then that Zoe’s hair ribbon starts to glow, and Chloe notes that it’s her exact measure! A measure of courage! Now that they have the first piece of the Wand of Light, Zoe is feeling a great deal of confidence about their chances, but Cosette believes that they’re chasing fairytales. It’s then that Zoe realizes that once they have all three pieces, they’ll need a smith to put them together, and she asks for their help. Though she doesn’t let on, what Zoe says about needing to do the right thing gets to Cosette, and it agrees it to help them. With that, they set out to find the gem of ice!
The two make their way up into the snowy mountains, where they come to ramshackle shop run by an old acquaintance of Cosette, Wayhem. The young blacksmith states that he’s a good-for-nothing thief, but if there’s one thing he knows, it’s jewels! They enter the shop, and are both flustered when Wayhem mistakes them as a couple. Zoe explains what they’re looking for, and gives him her skates in exchange for what he knows. He tells them about a gem that may fit the description, but that it’s cursed, which is why he never went after it himself. Taking the map he gives them, they make their way further up into the mountains.
After traveling for hours, they decide to rest in a cave for the night so Chloe and Cosette’s horse can rest. Cosette builds a fire to keep them warm, and they get a good night’s sleep. As they exit the cave, Zoe notices the peak of a mountain in the distance, gleaming like a gem in the rising sun, and knows that’s where they need to go. Chloe flies them up to the mountain peak, and they enter an icy cave.
Back at Wayhem’s shop, Xavier arrives after being called by the scavenger, who shows him the princess’ skates, but refuses to divulge any more until given proper incentive. Xavier realizes that Zoe intends to build a Wand of Light, and goes to leave… but not before he changes Wayhem into a literal doormat and takes back the money he paid him!
Back at the icy mountain cave, the four companions stumble upon a message on the wall, which Cosette is able to read: “Beware…take only what you need, but never from greed.” A passageway opens, and they make their way down into the cave, emerging in a cave filled with beautiful gems made of ice. Zoe is drawn to a particular one, and chooses it as the gem for the wand…but Cosette also takes one. However, the cave doesn’t collapse, revealing she needed it for an unselfish reason. Zoe wants to ask about it, but must hold off until later, as unfortunately, the cave now IS collapsing because Pollen, who has more than once shown a love for shiny things, has taken as many gems as she can hold. Thankfully, Chloe gets them all out just in the nick of time!
Arriving back at the cave they spent the night, the only component remaining is a ring of love, with Cosette suggesting maybe they could forge one. As she gets a fire going, Zoe asks what Cosette needed the second ice gem for, and reluctantly, they tell their story. Its mother abandoned their family, taking most of their money with her, and Cosette accidentally blew the rest of it while trying to earn more in a game with Wayhem. She had resolved not to return home until she could pay their father back, and the ice gem should be able to do that.
Cosette will need metal to make the ring of love, and to Zoe’s surprise, Chloe offers her crown, which she deeply treasures as a reminder of what she once was. Cosette offers to use their sword instead, but Chloe insists, because she loves her sister and her people, transforming the crown into a ring. Now united, the three components of the Wand of Light begin to glow, showing they are all present. With the fire ready, Cosette begins to weld them together into the weapon that will hopefully defeat Xavier.
Once the Wand of Light is complete, Cosette presents it to Zoe, wondering how they can see if it works, but Zoe has an idea! Holding up the wand, she wishes with all her heart to break the spell on her sister. The wand begins to glow…and Chloe is changed back into a human! Overcome with joy, the two sisters share their first real hug! (Also, apparently the curse kept Chloe from aging, because she looks like she’s the same age as Zoe even though she should be like twice that, but whatever. (It was that way in the movie with Brietta, just fyi.))
Resolved to defeat Xavier, Zoe declares it’s time to go home!…the only problem is they’re miles away and Chloe can’t fly anymore… Thankfully, Chloe remembers the bell Dahlia gave her, and the Cloud Queen sends two of the Royal pegasi to transport them. It’s here that Zoe bids a reluctant goodbye to Cosette, who she has been developing mutual feelings for, and the blacksmith goes on their way.
But as the sisters are flying back to the Cloud Castle, they are attacked by Xavier and his griffin, who chases them into an icy ravine. He hits Chloe’s horse and sends her tumbling to the ground, Zoe racing down to her sister. Furious with Xavier for harming Chloe, Zoe grabs the Wand of Light, she commands it to destroy the sorcerer…but it doesn’t work.
Feeling she has no other option, Zoe agrees to be Xavier’s bride if he releases everyone. But he now rescinds the offer, as he’s not too happy about the “Destroy Him!” thing, stating that she is ‘just like his other wives’. He steals the wand of light…and then buries Zoe in an avalanche!
Having now woken up, Chloe looks for her sister. Directed by Pollen to the massive pile of snow, she begins to panic, crying out desperately for Zoe as she digs. Cosette hears her, and begins frantically helping her look. They find Zoe, but she’s ice cold and unconscious.
They bring her back to the Cloud Kingdom, where the princesses tend to her. After a few hours, Cosette and her sister’s pleas seem to reach Zoe, and she wakes up. In the heat of the moment, the princess and the blacksmith share a kiss.
Zoe realizes that it’s almost sundown, and this is the third day! They are almost out of time! The three race to Xavier’s dark castle to retrieve the Wand of Light and stop him once and for all! The Cloud Princesses slow down the sunset as much as they can to give them more time, but it may not be enough…
Back in his fortress, Xavier attempts to use the Wand of Light on his wives to make them work faster, but obviously fails, declaring it useless and tossing it aside, which causes the gem to break loose from the hilt. This happens at the same time Cosette and the royal sisters arrive, preparing to launch an ambush. While Chloe stays and tends to the horses, Cosette and Zoe skate down through a narrow tunnel, each surprised by the other’s skill. Cosette then moves to distract the griffin while Zoe sneaks into the main room, trying to find the wand. Xavier returns and nearly catches her, but he is quickly distracted by Cosette fighting his griffin. Zoe manages to find the wand, but not without the gem falling off and slipping over the edge of the balcony or before Cosette is knocked over a cliffside by the griffin!
Distraught, Zoe drops to the ground, feeling she has failed. Thankfully, someone pulls themself up from the cliffside and offers her the backup gem they took from the cave. It’s a perfect fit, but only in time for Xavier to arrive and steal it with his magic, as his griffin tackles Cosette. But he himself doesn’t hold the Wand of Light…one of his former wives does. Zoe reaches out to them, appealing that they deserve better than this, that she can make a better future for everyone. Moved by her words, they give the wand to Zoe, who wishes from the bottom of her heart, not from anger this time, to break all of Xavier’s evil spells. She is changed into a beautiful dress, and her people are unpetrified, and Xavier’s former wives are changed from trolls back into themselves! Xavier himself is changed into a pathetic little man, who will now be forced to serve the women he mistreated for the rest of his days!
Zoe returns to the kingdom with Chloe and the two confront their parents about keeping all this a secret, with Andre apologizing, stating that he always wanted to but Audrey forbade it. The two sisters make up for lost time and prepare to rule the kingdom together. Cosette returns to her home, and is welcomed back by their father with open arms.
A couple years later, the entire kingdom is at the Cloud Castle, celebrating Zoe and Cosette’s engagement. There’s a huge ice rink and everyone’s eyes are on the couple as they skate in a beautiful waltz.
And they all lived happily ever after!
