Morning Reflection {THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE REQUEST AND KIND WORDS AH!} AO3

The slow heat of the morning rouses you from a deep sleep, the sunlight lighting up the marui of you and your mate just enough to cover the space in a hazy glow. You blink slowly at the dust and sand drifting through the air, attempting to bring your hand up to wipe the sleep from your eyes. Attempting being the key word here. Because now that you're focus and awareness sharpens you find yourself pinned to the plush bedding by a very large Metkayina man laying over you, wide scarred hands cupping your swelling stomach while his teal dappled fingers trace your dark azure stripes. Though the lack of movement is a bother, you cant help but smile fondly, letting your head fall back a little so you can nuzzle your nose against Nanui's cheek to wake him. Even in his sleep he refused to release you.

"Yawne...this will not be comfortable for long..." You murmur softly against the skin of his cheek. He grumbles, shoving his face into the crook of your neck to hide from the morning sun, curling around you and humming low and drowsy into your skin. "Then stay here until it is no longer comfortable and I will move, Ma'Paskalin." You can feel his pout against your shoulder, laughing softly and resting your hands over his, lightly dragging your fingertips up the smooth forearms of your lover to feel him shutter sleepily. Nanui had always been tactile. The large craftsman loves loudly and without shame, taking every opportunity to hold you and press sweet kisses and compliments to your lips. You didn't realize what it was to be loved so boldly until you had started courting him. If you thought that was a bit much however, you were completely unprepared for the amount of cuddles and touches and unreserved doting it took to appease the man now that you were pregnant with his child. He was determined to coddle you and you weren't going to deny him. Not when it meant seeing him looking up at you with awe and adoration in his eyes as he ran his hands over the growing swell of your abdomen. Or the soft pleasant kisses and whispers littered across your skin, following your freckles and stripes in reverent patterns. Or the way he helped you sit and stand when it started to affect your balance, catching whatever fish or foraging for whatever odd fruit you had started to crave on behalf of your demanding child. There was no time of day he would deny a request. That part was normal. But the amount of said request had grown so dramatically. Ask him to go catch a fish you had been thinking of? Sure. He'd bring back a couple for the two of you to cook and enjoy. But now that you craved it and would get pouty when it wasn't received? He would be gone for hours just to bring back as many as he could carry, sharing what you didn't eat with the village. But given the mans size, What he could carry was no small undertaking. You smile softly at the thought, turning your head to bite playfully at the metkayinas ear, minding your sharper canines. "The time is now, Nanui. You are very warm." You could feel yourself start to sweat a little, the morning sun and the heat of the large man a bit much for you with your current sensitivities. Nanui let out the biggest sigh he could muster, letting out a small yelp of protest when you bite him and pulling his head from your neck to get away from your nipping teeth. "I was moving, must you bite me?" He pouted, butting his forehead against yours affectionately as his hand pull back a little to rest on your sides, the large fingers of the weaver still spanning from your hip to just above your waist. You sigh in pleasure as more skin can breath, not covered and smothered by your mates grip and cooling you by a good bit. "No. I do not need to. But I wish to. You are very bite-able, my love."

Nanui laughed, letting his head fall back with the deep delighted sound, his dark inky curls now loose from their usual bun spilling over his shoulders. Your eyes fall to the courting necklace of your own design and the tattoos tracing the cords of his throat. Very bite-able indeed. The teal craftsman leans forward once he's gotten through his abrupt laughter, pressing a soft kiss to your shoulder. He speaks a gentle morning greeting into your skin, the piercing of his lower lip spelling his words against you. "How are we feeling this morning, my home?" You trace a hand down your own stomach with a thoughtful hum.

"I do not wish to eat yet, because it will not stay down, but aside from some ache, all is well." "Where do you ache?" He questions softly with a frown, sitting up a little more as if the mention of discomfort offends him. Oh no. "It is not that bad. I just need to stretch." "That is not what I asked." You cant help the wheezing laugh at leaves you and you accept your fate. "My lower back is stiff." Large talented hands slide down your sides, calloused thumbs pressing into the muscles in the arch of your back, pushing and spreading them until the ache is gone and warmth is spreading from the slow dedicated touches.

You cant help sighing in pleasure, relaxing into your mate, who lets you rest against his chest and melt into the comfort of his affection. He hums softly, letting his hands slide forward to hold your stomach once again, pressing a kiss to the back of your neck. "Better, Ma'paskalin?" You sigh softly, "Yes, yawne. Much better. thank you." He smiles softly, nuzzling the patch of skin gently with a chuckle that rumbles his chest and sends a comforting vibration through you. "For you? Anything."

The boy rode the bear until sunset came around, and his energy depleted. Exploring was not an easy task, especially since he hadn’t got the chance to in so long. The bear’s soft fur provided a comforting surface as Wild dozed off.
