Magia Day Livestream Summary
I watched it on Youtube, and here is what I understood from this livestream event. My Japanese isn't perfect, so there might be a few mistakes. Please feel free to correct me if you see any wrong info 🥺
Tumblr media
First of all, there were tables for each faction (except for Puella Care) and pairs of character VAs participated in various things.
Magia Union: Iroha, Yacchan and Tsuruno
Folklore of 0: Rabi and Asahi
Neo Magius: Himena and Miyuri
Promised Blood: Ao and Hikaru
Tokime Clan: Shizuka and Sunao
+++ Mikage and Kagome's VAs had a table of their own and made comments.
The first part was a brief summary of what happened in arc 2 and each VA answered questions about those events. They also talked about how it affected their characters and what they themselves felt when they saw the main story.
Then they answered a few questions asked by players in Japan.
Then there was a quiz event and VAs tried to answer game related questions.
Tumblr media
This one was about finding the 4* gacha animation and the only group who picked right answer was folklore of 0 group. Everyone else picked Shizuku 😅
Later on, Degarashi Mana made an appearance and she beat a blast gorilla team of Doppel Kyouko, Ashley + Tanabata Yacchan with Magirepo trio (Iroha-chan, Felicia-chan and Madoka Senpai) in mirrors.
There was an event story about everyone's favorite animals and factions were trying to help Mikage find her own. It was funny and I laughed so much because Felicia convinced Magia Union that cows are the best animals.
Mikage was saying humans are better than animals but she found a mysterious favorite animal thanks to Tokime Clan.
I think this much emphasis on animals might be a hint for future events, possibly Halloween. Maybe we can get a meguca or a duo alt with animal outfits 😅 My bet is on Yuna Tiger Alt, but any animal would be cute 🥰
Now time for the most important part... GAME INFO CORNER!!!!
Tumblr media
RIKA UNCAP RIKA UNCAP RIKA UNCAP FINALLY RIKA UNCAP- 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
We will be able to exchange Magia Chips for more items such as limited event memorias, Overlimiter Core and Innocent Gem. If they allow us to get unlimited 4* girls I'm getting Himena like there's no tomorrow 😭 She is my favorite and I've been trying to get her for MONTHS, only to be spooked by other megucas 😔
There will be changes about Mirrors, atk and def teams???
Old players and newbies will cooperate
Last but not least, there will be an event for the ancient Kamihama girls.
I am really excited about Rika uncap + the ability to get Innocent Gems with Magia Chips. But I don't care about the ancient girls they look boring to me 🤦

Mornings like these are rare for Hitoka. She could wake up and get ready for work at the same time as her boyfriend, get dropped off by him, and have time to spare to get a coffee before her first appointment of the day. Even rarer is the chance to walk into the hospital cafe and see—
"Tobio?"
She's used to the sight of his eyes jerking up from his phone with a look of panic, before he recognizes her and relaxes right back into his blank, accidentally-intimidating expression. "Oh, Yacchan."
"You can't keep looking so scared to talk to people," she laughs as she sits at his little table. "You're going to hurt someone's feelings."
"It's just my face," he mumbles, shoving a bite of omelette into his mouth. "You're here early."
"Mm-hm! Takuto wanted to drop me off today, since we had to get up at the same time!" She begins to take a sip of coffee, only to lower her cup when she notices Kageyama's brows furrowing. "Hey, be nice."
"I didn't say anything!"
"You don't need to!"
With that, Kageyama's features settle into the frown Hitoka knew they'd been resisting. "...I still don't like him."
"Well, I'm glad you and Kei finally have something to agree on," she sighs. "When's your next appointment?"
"Not for a while. I just finished a delivery. What about you?"
Hitoka hums as she looks at her watch. "Oh, shoot! Soon, I should go! See you!"
"Shee yo," Kageyama mumbles around another bite of omelette.
She only gets to the elevator before she hears someone call out, "Yacchan!"
"Hey, Tadashi!" Yamaguchi looks unusually harried, still combing his hair down from its usual tufts. "Everything okay?"
"Yeah! I lost track of time while prepping my lecture, and now I'm almost late for my first appointment."
"Oh, no," Hitoka sighs in sympathy. The elevator arrives, and they slip to the back together, letting nurses and residents fill in the rest of the car. "Would you like some coffee?"
Yamaguchi seamlessly takes her proffered cup, sips at the coffee, and returns it to her hand in the middle of straightening out his lab coat and making sure everything is in the correct pockets. "Oh, by the way, I wanted to talk to you about something I'm working on," he mutters in the quiet of the elevator. "Let me know when you get a free moment."
"Okay!"
The elevator dings at the second floor, and with one more smile, Yamaguchi weaves his way through the slower doctors and jogs down the hallway to his appointment room.
Something about seeing Kageyama be at his leisure while Yamaguchi is blustering around brings a smile to Hitoka's lips. Her smile lingers when she reaches her floor and makes her way to the neurology outpatient hall. "Hello, Mrs. Sakurai! Please, come in with me."
🩺
"Ren-kun, don't you want to feel better? Let's get your shirt up, okay?"
The three-year-old lets out a long whine as he cringes away from the nurse's touch and pins his mother and Tadashi with a pout.
"Goodness," the mother sighs, adjusting her son's big teddy bear in her arms, "I don't know what's gotten into him today."
Tadashi is quiet for a moment, watching the toddler glower at him and biting back a smile, before an idea occurs to him. "Ohhhh, Mr. Bear!" he gasps theatrically. "What's wrong?"
He glances up from the bear to raise his brows at the mother, who thankfully catches on quickly. "Ohhhh, Doctor," she groans in a cartoonishly low voice, "my stomach's been hurting terribly! Can you help?"
"Hmmm, let's see!" Tadashi presses his stethoscope to the teddy's fuzzy belly and declares, "Oh dear, how do you feel now?"
"Oh, Doctor, I feel much better!"
"Wonderful! And what about you, ma'am?" He settles the stethoscope on the back of her hand where she's holding the teddy.
"Doctor! I feel great now!" she gasps in her regular voice.
"Good, good! Now whooooo's next, hm?" Tadashi dramatically looks over at Ren, who beams at him and raises his hand. "It's Ren-kun! C'mere, kiddo, can you lift your shirt for me?"
Once upon a time, Tadashi could barely make it through an appointment without his cheeks burning at the silly things he had to do to get his little patients to cooperate. Now it's just another part of the job, a simple way to make going to the hospital a little less stressful for their young minds.
By the time he's done with appointments, his throat is a touch sore from not only giving lengthy explanations to nervous parents, but also doing a series of silly, exaggerated voices to keep his patients distracted from the severity of their prognoses.
"Goodness, Doctor," the nurse, Sawamura, says with a soft laugh. "No wonder you always need tea after seeing outpatients."
Tadashi shoots him a sheepish grin around his mug of tea. "A small price to pay to make any part of this easier for them."
There aren't many outpatients in pediatrics today, giving him a rare chance to duck upstairs to his office and maybe even have a snack. If Tsukki is feeling generous, he might even have a chance to enjoy some of his expansive collection of sweets, kept secret within their group (though he bemoaned the possibility of Hinata, notorious swiper, helping himself to the sweets drawer).
As though summoned by his wandering thoughts, the elevator doors open to reveal Tsukishima himself, alone and slouched against the back wall with his head leaned back. "Tsukki!"
Tsukishima's eyes flash open, and with a jolt, he pushes himself upright, cheeks just barely rosy in the harsh elevator lighting. "Hey. You done with outpatients already?"
"Yep!" Tadashi can feel a wide, childlike smile pushing at his cheeks as he joins Tsukishima at the back of the car. "What're you doing here? I thought you had the day off?"
Tsukishima groans, eyes sliding shut and head knocking against the wall again. "I had to chew out some interns and make sure the patient could bounce back from their mistake."
Tadashi gives a low whistle. "That bad?"
"Mm." Eyes still closed, Tsukishima tilts towards Tadashi, leaning the slightest bit of weight against him. Tadashi's cheeks immediately tingle with warmth, even though he should be used to it by now. For as long as they've felt physically comfortable in their friendship, this has been Tsukishima's favorite way of silently seeking comfort from Tadashi, and Tadashi only: a silent lean that lets their sides press flush against each other.
The only thing that's changed is Tadashi's feelings towards Tsukishima. Not that Tsukki knows anything about that.
"Are you going home now?" he asks as he leans some weight back, fighting valiantly to keep his voice steady.
"No." Tsukishima slouches even more into Tadashi, until a laugh bursts from him and a tiny smile tugs at Tsukki's lips. "I've got another patient to check on. Then I might go home."
"Well…since you're here…"
Goldenrod eyes blink open over a small, knowing frown. "Yes, you can have some cookies, you little thief. D'you still have the extra key?"
"Yep! Thanks, Tsukki!"
The elevator slides to a stop with a cheery ding, but Tsukishima doesn't say anything until Tadashi has already stepped off and the doors begin shutting. "Don't let Hinata in!"
"He's not in today, relax!" Tadashi wouldn't have let him into Tsukki's office, anyway. Unsupervised snack drawer access was a privilege he enjoyed all on his own. And sometimes with Yachi. But mostly on his own.

"What's going on?" Kei asks the moment he stepped into the ward, smearing on some hand cleanser.
The resident hurries up, already speaking by the time he reaches Kei’s side. “Doctor, the patient was hooked up to the ECMO, but she developed a pulmonary edema, so we had to intubate her. Her heart was barely beating when we checked her echo.”
Shit. Shiho’s been steadily improving, to the point that they were planning on getting her off of the ECMO and into a general ward. But if she’s regressed this badly… “Does her family know?”
“Yes, sir.”
“Good.” That will make explaining the next steps a little easier.
When they approach Shiho’s bed, her mother is hovering over her, carefully tucking blankets around the sleeping 7-year-old. The sight makes Kei’s heart squeeze. It doesn’t matter how many years he works and how thick his skin is—the sight of little bodies dwarfed in hospital beds never gets easier.
He doesn’t know how Yamaguchi does it.
“Excuse me, ma’am. May I have a word?”
Shiho’s mother jolts upright and whirls around to face Kei. “Oh, hello, Doctor! Yes, of course.” The shadows under her eyes have gotten deeper since yesterday, and she seems unsteady on her feet as she follows Kei and the two interns to a quiet corner away from Shiho’s bed. Kei is almost tempted to set a steadying hand under her elbow, but he doesn’t dare.
“Shiho’s heart has worsened, Mrs. Suzui, to the point that she’s developed pulmonary edema,” he says once they come to a stop, never one to beat around the bush. He’s been on the other side of these interactions. He knows all any family member wants is to know how their loved one is doing. “She won’t be able to depend on the ECMO for much longer. An artificial heart would be better, especially in reducing the pressure on her left ventricle. She will need surgery either later today or tomorrow.”
"Oh, god," the mother gasps, eyes wide and wavering with tears. "Doctor, I…I really can't afford to pay for a surgery right now. Could we wait a week? I can get the money in a week! Please, please save her, I don’t…I don’t know what else to do…"
Anger sparks in Kei's chest—not at Shiho's mother, of course not, but at the injustice of it all, the choice between death and bankruptcy. "We really can't wait to operate," he sighs, trying to school his face into a gentler, if not fully reassuring, expression. "But don't worry about the costs, ma'am. The hospital has several welfare programs—we can inform them about your daughter's case, and they will provide you with whatever financial assistance they can." Over his shoulder, he tells Azumane Asahi, one of the interns shadowing him that morning, “You go look into it.”
Shiho’s mother’s face crumples into the tears she's been fighting against so valiantly. "Thank you, Doctor! Thank you so much!" she weeps, dipping into bows with her hands clasped over her chest.
"We're just doing our job, ma'am." He bends into a bow of his own, before looking over his shoulder and frowning at the sight of Azumane still lingering there. "What're you doing? Go call them!"
Azumane jolts, giving a hasty bow and stammering, "R-right!"
Kei keeps an eye on him as he hurries out of the ward while digging his phone out of his pocket. Yeah…that kid has no idea who to call.
Sure enough, when Kei finishes explaining the needed surgery to the patient's mother, he leaves the ward and sees Azumane frantically typing on his phone. He’s a tall, sturdy guy, with long brown hair pulled into a bun and a neatly-trimmed goatee. But he never looks as intimidating as he could, because he’s almost always curled in on himself with doubt and anxiety. He looks positively hunchbacked now.
Kei feels for him. He does. He remembers when Yamaguchi and Yachi were always ten seconds away from a panic attack as interns. But there isn’t time for nerves in this field. The sooner Azumane learns that, the better.
With a sigh, Kei dials the number to the social services office and approaches Azumane. "I'm doing the operation tomorrow, and now I have to call social services. What exactly do you do around here?"
While Azumane stammers an apology, the line connects, and Kei's voice takes on a well-practiced tone of polite pleasantry. "Hello, this is Tsukishima Kei from Cardiothoracic Surgery. We have a pediatric case that needs financial aid, would assistance from the Fly High Fund be possible? Yes, just a moment."
Sharp eye contact is all the warning Kei gives Azumane before he tosses the phone at him and walks away. In his wake, he can hear Azumane beginning explaining the details of the surgery, voice finally steady and sure.
Well…at least he made sure to study the case.
Even though he has nothing else scheduled for the day, he decides to get lunch at the hospital cafe, just in case something else comes up. Better to be a few floors away than have to turn back around on the drive home.
The path from his regular elevator to the cafe takes him past the ER waiting room, an area he usually disregards if he hasn't been specifically called. Today, though, he stumbles mid-step, eyes catching on a terribly familiar mop of ginger hair.
"Shrimp?"
🩺
Shoyo loves his niece. Really, he does. Sure, when Natsu first announced her pregnancy, he was mostly relieved to no longer bear the pressure of providing their mother with a grandchild. But the little girl showed signs of that special Hinata charm from her first burbles, and now, at four years old, she already knows how to best wield her words in a way that even Shoyo has a hard time saying no to.
Sometimes, he wishes he could actually say no. Even if he is the cool, fun uncle, Kasumi really needs to learn how to take no as an answer. Maybe then they wouldn't play tea party every time Shoyo babysat her, costumes and all. And maybe then he wouldn't be standing in the ER waiting room of the hospital he works at with a plastic silver tiara superglued to his head.
“Uncle…Uncle Shoooooo…” He looks down at his pulled hand, and sees Kasumi gazing up at him with big, dark eyes. Her black hair is pulled into pigtails, and she’s still wearing her own gold tiara with gaudy pink jewels. “I’m really sorry!”
“It’s okay, Sumi-chan,” Shoyo sighs with a tired smile. They’ve been through this conversation ten times in the past hour, because the poor thing inherited the trademark Hinata anxiety along with their charisma. “You wanted to help keep the tiara on. Just…there’s a reason Mommy doesn’t let you use that glue.”
“I know.” She pouts and leans into him, her cheek squishing into his arm. “I’m sorry.”
He strokes his free hand over her head as he looks around the dwindling patients in the ER waiting room. It’s not that he thinks he deserves special privileges just because he works here, but really now…how long does it take to find someone to get this tiara off? The superglue will be tricky, especially where the tiara is stuck to his forehead, but it’s nothing this hospital hasn’t handled before.
“Alright, that’s it!” he declares after five more minutes. “C’mon, Sumi-chan, we’re going to find someone to help us!”
His niece brightens immediately, always eager to follow through on a grand plan. Her little legs somehow manage to keep up with his marching steps to the ER, hurrying along with a momentum that nearly flings her forward when Shoyo suddenly stops. “Ow!”
“Sorry, sorry!” Shoyo gasps, gathering her up and pressing a kiss to her cheek. “I just, uh…changed my mind, let’s go back to waiting—”
“Shrimp?”
Shit.
With a wince, Shoyo slowly turns to face the last person he wanted to see like this. “Ah…hey, Four-Eyes. Kasumi, say hello. He’s a friend of mine, but you shouldn’t make friends like him! He’s big and mean!”
Kasumi’s eyes are wide with fear and intrigue as she does a little bow in Shoyo’s arms, missing the sneer Tsukishima sends him. “I’ve met Kasumi before.”
“Kasumi, do you remember Uncle Tsukki?”
Eyes still wide, Kasumi ever-so-slightly shakes her head. Tsukishima can’t do much more than sigh and offer the little girl a bad attempt at a reassuring smile, which immediately slides off his face when his focus shifts back to Shoyo. Jerk. “What’re you doing here? And what’s with the crown? Have you spent too much time with the King?”
“Haha.” He quickly presses another kiss to Kasumi’s cheek when he sees her little face start to crumple with guilt again. “We just had a little…mishap.”
“...Okay?”
Tsukishima’s steady eyes tell Shoyo that he’s not getting away without a proper explanation. “I told Kasumi that her tea-time tiaras don’t fit well on me, so she decided to help…with superglue.”
Pure, unadulterated delight melts across Tsukishima's face. “Holy shi— I mean, oh wow! That was a good idea, Kasumi!”
Kasumi’s guilt is replaced by confusion. “No no no, it wasn’t a good idea, but we know that now, and Sumi-chan won’t do it again, right?” He didn’t speak a moment too soon—her confusion gives way to determination as she gives a hefty nod. “Good girl!”
“Do you want me to call Yacchan?” Tsukishima asks, suppressed laughter clear in his voice. “Maybe she can give you a free psych evaluation after the tiara’s off.”
“Fu—uhhh, don’t be mean, Tsukishima! I’m just going to find someone to get this off quickly, and I’m going to go and enjoy the rest of my precious day off with Sumi! Right?”
“Right!” Shoyo can’t resist it—he simply has to press another kiss to Kasumi’s cheeks when they’re all round from her bright smile.
“Good luck with that,” Tsukishima snorts. His voice only gentles when he addresses Kasumi. “It was nice seeing you again, Kasumi. Make sure you keep your uncle out of trouble.”
It’s a rare sight to see Kasumi nervous to the point of a silent nod. Shoyo knew she had good instincts. Only when Tsukishima walks away does she mumble, “He’s scary.”
“Nah, he just looks like that,” Shoyo laughs. “He’s like Uncle Tobio—a big scary meanie at first, then all sweet when you’re friends!” That…doesn’t apply to Shoyo, but Kasumi doesn’t need to know that.
Her face creases with some confusion. “Uncle Tobio isn’t scary.”
Never mind. Her instincts aren’t that good.
The dreaded run-in with Tsukishima isn’t enough to distract Shoyo from his mission. What does distract him is the sight of Yachi wide-eyed and pointing straight at him. She’s standing next to a hospital bed with an older gentleman laying in it, arm in a sling and bandage on his head. It takes Shoyo a moment to recognize him as a prolific general surgeon who works in a hospital that’s clear across the city. What’s he doing here?
Never mind. “Um. Hi, Yacchan!” Maybe she really can help get the tiara off. Neurosurgery should apply to stuff on the outside of the brain, right?
“Shoyo! Oh my gosh, you’re exactly who I needed to see, can you come here?”
Unfortunately for Shoyo, Yachi is another person he can rarely say no to.
The explanations go by in a blur, something about a liver donor finally coming through for a young man who needs a complex operation, one that only one doctor in the city can reliably carry out. Said doctor had the misfortune of getting into an accident on his way to the hospital, and now they’re left with a liver and a patient and no doctor.
“We can’t wait, otherwise a different hospital will take the liver. Please, Shoyo, we really wouldn’t ask if we had any other choice!”
And now he’s here, in surgical scrubs, washing his hands and trying his best to ignore the itch of the tiara that is still on his head, now covered by a hair net.
“This is ridiculous,” he grumbles to Iwaizumi, the one and only general surgery resident in the entire hospital. “What’s the director going to say? This kind of last-minute change is serious!”
“Dr. Yachi said she already spoke to him and got it approved,” Iwaizumi easily answers.
“What about the patient’s mother? Does she know what’s happening? Someone needs to explain what’s going on and get her consent!”
“Dr. Yachi already knows the mother from a different case and was able to get her to sign the consent form within a few minutes.”
“And the original doctor? I know he’s injured, but still, he must be upset at being switched out so easily.”
“Dr. Yachi got him on board when they saw you in the ER.”
“Will Kasumi be okay? What if Natsu can’t come pick her up on such short notice?”
“Dr. Yachi let her know what happened, she’ll be here in a few hours. Dr. Kageyama offered to keep an eye on her until then.”
Shoyo drops his head back with a prolonged whine, forgetting about the light on his forehead until he hears a soft grunt and looks down to see Iwaizumi shielding his eyes with his clipboard. “God…she got all that done, and still couldn’t get anyone to get this thing off my head. Alright, fine. Let’s do this.”
🩺
Tobio likes Kasumi. Really, he does. She’s the only child who didn’t cringe away from him the first time they met.
That might’ve been because she was practically a newborn when he first saw her, but still. It was nice. She likes volleyball, and as an only child, she already knows how to keep herself somewhat entertained. She even knows how to be quiet while staying occupied, something her uncle still doesn’t know how to do at his big age.
None of that changes the fact that the office of an OB/GYN is not…the ideal place for a four-year-old.
“Um.” He stares at her, and she stares back from where she’s sitting on the office couch, little legs sticking straight out in front of her. Cute. “Do you want some cookies?”
Her solemn face brightens at that as she eagerly nods. “Can I pick?”
“I don’t have a lot, but sure.” He opens his snack drawer and lets her peruse the collection of Oreos and strawberry Meiji and regular Marie. He’s not surprised when she picks the strawberry Meiji, no doubt drawn to their pink packaging. She looks so excited about the cookies that he can’t resist offering, “...Want some milk?”
Some cookies, a Gun Gun yogurt, two pieces of scrap paper, and some markers that Yamaguchi blessedly dropped off between appointments keep Kasumi perfectly happy at the little office coffee table. “Uncle,” she calls after a few minutes of humming.
His chest warms at the familial term. It’s been a while since such a young voice called him that. He’s missed it. “Yeah?”
“What’s your favorite color?”
“Orange,” he answers without thinking. “...Why?”
“It’s a surprise!” she giggles, covering her paper with her arms when Tobio peers over at her. “What’s your favorite animal?”
“A wolf.” A tiny smile tugs at his lips when his answers earns him a serious nod. “Are you…going to draw me an orange wolf?”
“No!” she squeals, laughing as though that’s the funniest thing she’s heard all day. Not likely, considering she’s been with Hinata. “It’s a surprise!”
“Alright, alright.”
It’s surprisingly easy to work with her in the office. Sure, he’s forced to pause his work a few times to listen to a prolonged story about something that happened at school, or a toy she really wants her mom to buy, or a joke that her bestest friend in the whole wide world told her. But it’s impossible to feel very annoyed by her bright voice and brighter smile, especially when it gives him an excuse to pause his paperwork.
He doesn’t notice the time passing until he looks up from his work and sees Kasumi passed out on top of her drawing, orange marker still clutched in her hand.
Tobio doesn’t want kids. He doesn’t, at least not now, especially when he doesn’t have a partner he’d want to raise a kid with. But he’s never felt as tempted as he does when he spends time with Kasumi. The sight of her sweet face squished on her artwork makes his heart feel too big for his chest, and when he carefully slides the marker out of her fist and gathers her up in his arms, the feeling of her nuzzling into his shoulder nearly makes him burst into tears on the spot.
God…he has got to get more sleep.
He gets her settled on the couch, his sweatshirt tucked under her head and his coat draped over her. She’s small enough to fit completely beneath his coat, especially when she lets out a soft huff and curls up even more. He glances at his closed office door to make sure no one will see him, then bends over to press a kiss to her temple and brush her pigtail out of her face.
“...Tobio?”
He jumps and nearly bites his tongue in choking back a curse. There, standing at his door that somehow opened silently, is Yachi, watching him with an amused but kind smile. “...Don’t tell Hinata.”
She laughs at that, careful to not wake up Kasumi. “I wouldn’t dream of it. Natsu will be here soon, do you want me to take Kasumi down to the entrance?”
Tobio stares at the tiny sleeping form almost covered by his coat. “...No, I’ll do it.”
“Okay.” When he looks at her again, Yachi’s smile has mellowed into a terribly sweet and warm little curve. “Are you sure you don’t want me to tell Shoyo?”
“You…can tell him I made sure Natsu picked her up. Not…anything else.” If that tangerine finds out Tobio gave Kasumi a kiss, he will never hear the end about how sweet he is to Kasumi and how mean he still is to Shoyo, and “geez Yama, I thought we had something special!”
He has no idea how true that really is.
Natsu is effusive in her thanks when Tobio hands her off, holding her daughter close as she bows and asks him how she can ever thank him. “It’s nothing,” he reassures her. “Hinata was pulled into an emergency surgery, but Kasumi was great. Made me a drawing and everything.”
That finally makes a smile relax Natsu’s worried features. “Ah, another one for your collection.”
“Yeah. Is there anything else you need?”
“No, we’re all set. Thank you, Tobio-nii, seriously!”
“You don’t have to thank me. I should be thanking you—she wouldn’t have been so easy to look after if you weren’t doing such a great job raising her.”
The praise is a little corny, especially coming from him, but it’s the truth. Tobio could never work in pediatrics like Yamaguchi, but he really does enjoy the times when he gets to hang out with Kasumi, even if it is a little awkward at first. Like her uncle, it never takes her long to make any room warm and comfortable, even at age four.
By the time he returns to his office, it’s about time for him to grab some dinner. But before he leaves, he makes sure to hang his new piece of artwork—a picture of him and a wolf in the woods, which is somehow all orange trees—next to the other three drawings he’s been lucky enough to receive and the few photos he has hung up.
The photos are a small collection of memories—his high school volleyball team, he and the group in their first year of university, and again at their graduation from med school, him as a child with his grandfather, and another photo from graduation, this one with Miwa pulling him down and pressing a kiss to his cheek.
The photo his eyes catch on is the only candid in the bunch: by some stroke of luck and photographic genius, Yachi managed to snap a photo of them playing volleyball. They’re in their work pants and shoes, their sleeves are rolled up, and Hinata’s shirt has one too many buttons undone. It’s clear they got distracted by a volleyball court after a night of work drinks, but besides what they’re wearing, the shot could have been of a V.League match. A ragged volleyball is leaving Tobio’s fingertips mid-jump, and Hinata…he’s flying, body suspended in the perfect spiking posture and hand already swinging for the ball that still hasn’t reached him.
It does reach him. Tobio can remember that much, just like he can remember the slam of the ball on the other side of the court, and the way Hinata leapt into his arms for a victory hug and cheer.
He misses volleyball. He misses the two-on-two matches that they forced Yamaguchi and Tsukishima to agree to, the impromptu lessons he gave to Yachi, the sting of his fingers after a good long game. But most of all, he misses that, the way playing on a team with Hinata makes him feel invincible in a way that is so rare in the medical field.
He wonders if Hinata misses it, too.

Robin as Yaguchi, Whitney as Kashima maybe? The wiki really doesnt talk much about Tamura, so sadly, can't hone in. prev. gen would be... Yeah, remy as itome and wren as akemi, then briar as Ayato Yuri (... new crackship emerging i guess). Yaguchi as darryl, or maybe wren as kashima.
Bailey as Shikatani.
BUT TO PROPERLY GET A HANDLE ON THIS, I'D HAVE TO WATCH THE SERIES WHICH IM KINDA EHHHHH on doin'

karasuno hcs <333
this was supposed to be for kinoshita's day but. i got sidetracked LMAO. but here have some karasuno hcs!! (okay specifically the second years bc i love them). anyways. let's go!!
ennoshita is a conspiracy theorist
cryptids, ghosts, aliens, mysterious lights in the woods, whatever - if it requires unhealthy amounts of caffeine, red string, a corkboard, and pictures, then ennoshita is on the case
half of his film projects are "documentaries" and he drags like. pretty much everyone he possibly can into helping him
futakuchi is all "man i can't believe i fell in love with such a nerd" but joke's on him bc ennoshita has futakuchi on film screeching like hellfire from when a spider dropped down his shirt while they were investigating an abandoned building
narita is actually the most loved by the underclassmen bc he's approachable to every single one of them in the way they need and that makes him all the more respected
like. he'll talk books and music with tsukki and he'll indulge hinata and kageyama in endless volleyball schematics and he and yachi talk about their fave stationary brands and best notebooks and he and yamaguchi get into pokemon debates and baking tips and they appreciate him very much for it!!
(yamaguchi stress bakes. it doesn't go well most of the time. it's okay, he's getting there.)
surprisingly, it's kinoshita who gets into fights more than anyone else
since ennoshita has eyes on tanaka and noya all the time that leaves kinoshita free reign to be an absolute menace whenever he wants!! which is. surprisingly a lot LMAO
sometimes yachi will help him
look i just. i just think when they grow into their confidence, kinoshita and yachi would be the best duo in kicking ass and taking names
like if it's rivals they respect then it's just the normal "hey asshole prepare to go down!" (mostly by kinoshita bc yachi STILL doesn't curse) but if it's someone who's like. actually being a dick and is acting very punchable then kinoshita and yachi light up in a blaze of righteous fury
and when yachi finally DOES swear everyone immediately turns to kinoshita and blames him
(it doesn't help that she's standing right next to him when it happens)
kinoshita: i'm innocent!! i didn't do anything!! ennoshita: yesterday i watched you yell "FUCK" like 20 times in a row after you missed one of the stairs and almost fell down the entire second floor kinoshita: YACCHAN WASN'T EVEN THERE FOR THAT
yamaguchi goes to kinoshita for romance advice like "hey how did you get with nishinoya-san?" and kinoshita spits out his water and goes "WHAT"
anyways cue terrible wingmanning by the first-year five
no bc. with the third years they felt more unapproachable and distant and all that. but ennoshia and tanaka and narita and noya and kinoshita??? free game!!!
the first-year five love all of them you can't deny that!!! so ofc they want to get into wingman shenanigans to help them out!!
(not that their upperclassmen would admit it . . . but they helped a LOT)

Hi!!! okokok, how bout a s/o who has a kind of quirk (just like bnha!), how do you think they would react? Like, I think they'd probably integrate into something related to sex or develop a kink (? LMAO
y'all i am so into bnha you have no idea!! also, for neutrality purposes, i'll be using the quirks of deku, todoroki, bakugou, uraraka, kirishima, denki, sero, iida, and satou, all from class 1A, mostly just because none of their quirks rely on physical appearances!!
tw: impact, dubcon (drugging, somno), dummification if you squint
Toono – S/O's Quirk: One for All – This Quirk is a union of two different Quirks, one that stockpiles power and one that passes itself on to another. The user can momentarily gain strength and speed far greater than any other Quirk and hero.
thankfully by the time he'd met you, you'd mastered the use of your Quirk
you were never the prance about type to flash around your power anyway
you preferred to use it for more mundane tasks – like opening pickle jars and carrying the groceries into the house in one trip
he found out about it on accident
he was on his way out when he caught you in the parking lot coming in––
with your car in hand, two feet off the ground
you'd dropped your fob somewhere underneath it and couldn't see
toono passed out
when he came to, his first questions revolved around whether or not the car was okay
once he wraps his head around it though..
he's way more into it than he tells you
but it also fuckin terrifies him
so much so that he really doesn't want you to use it on him
definitely has watched you use it so intently that he can nut off to it later
maybe one day he'll pluck up and ask you to activate it for some pictures he can keep
Kashima - S/O's Quirk: Half-Cold, Half-Hot – This Quirk splits the user into two, half of the user's body can emit ice, the other half emits fire.
honesty is a pillar to kashima's relationship
your quirk came to light a month or so into seeing him
and at first, he was mostly excited about the health benefits
he decides then and there that you gotta do him a solid and chill his side of the bed
that way he can keep cool when he sleeps
sometimes
even if he's half asleep
he'll grab your right hand with a lil soft tug
and in your drowsy stupor you chill his pillow so there's no need for a flip
makes him grin like an idiot every time
when he comes home from practice or from the gym he has you freeze and unfreeze the bathwater-- saves you guys a whole lot of ice
he doesn't mind letting you ease his muscles with your left side after all the heats works wonders that would make any rice pack green with envy
as a top, kashima's got complete control in the bedroom
all day, he'll ask you to close your eyes and heat something up, maybe it's a vibrator or a dildo
or when you chill something, they're usually beads or a plug
all for him to torment you with later on that night
Yacchan – S/O's Quirk: Explosion – This Quirk allows the user to sweat a substance similar to Nitroglycerin from the user's palms and ignite it to create explosions.
kyosuke recognizes it's too dangerous to use in the bedroom
but that being said, there's plenty of other stuff around the place to let you show off
your firework shows are always the best on the block
especially when he sets some off right when yuu isn't expecting it
mainly, yacchan appreciates your quirk when it comes to pulling pranks
It's really funny when you're popping ziploc bags full of nothing right outside tamura's dorm when he's trying to power nap before exams
and even funnier when he storms out in just tighty whities to yell at you
only to meet the flash of yacchan's cellphone
toono will fall asleep during study sessions sometimes and yacchan will facetime you so you can let out a boom and wake him up
he will most definitely fall off the bed and yacchan will most definitely record it
the two of you are the best of the worst that way
Shikatani – S/O's Quirk: Zero Gravity – This Quirk allows the user to cause people and items to float on contact. There is a weight limit on how much the user can levitate, and if this Quirk is used to much, it will cause the user to get sick.
it's really helpful when you help him deep clean
after all, if the supplies are gracefully floating behind him, that leaves his hands free to do twice the work, saving him half the time
but you're content to watch the beautiful boy work
if you help him clean like that, he won't ask for much more that day
he is very very conscious of how much you use your quirk
because he cares about you too much to let you get sick
since he knows for a fact that because of his ocd he won't be able to take care of you
and that stings
so on the days where the chores have all been done he gets the honor of experiencing the effects of your quirk in bed
he likes how it feels when your tease him from the air above
your throat feels more open
but it's not like he can do too much about it since the instant he gets too eager you always float just out of reach
sometimes if he's behaved very well, you'll suspend him
the headrush he gets is euphoric
but the best is how good you are when you blow out his back with your strap
after all, without gravity, your stroke game is literally out of this world
Akemi – S/O's Quirk: Hardening – This Quirk allows the user to harden any part of their body. This shell can withstand several tons of metal falling on the user, along with shock waves, explosions, etc.
there's nothing cuter to akemi keiichi than a brat
if you want to misbehave?
by all means
go right ahead
he'll leave it to you to exhaust yourself
that's the first time he saw you use it
he wasn't aiming to cause any major damage, he was only spanking you with his hand
but he'd been at it for almost an hour
then suddenly he'd pushed you off him after he'd slapped what felt like a solid rock
not that it could stop him
his eyes only grew darker
from then on out, it was all a game to see how far he could push before the shell wore down and you gave into him
Itome – S/O's Quirk: Electrification – This Quirk allows the user to discharge electricity out of the user's body. It goes out in all directions around the user, and can be used to even charge objects, such as batteries. There is a limit to how much this Quirk can be used, and if used too much, the user will short circuit their own brain, and won't be able to do anything for an hour.
of course you can charge his phone in a pinch when it dies at the worst possible moment
hotwire his car when he's already running late
restart the fusebox when there's a power outage
after hours, itome's not a hard dom
not in the slightest
but every once in awhile, he can be particularly malicious
like when he has you overcharge your vibrators to give him the liberty of overstimulating you for longer
really it's less about the scene and more about what comes after
due to the limits of your quirk, aftercare is all on him
that's what he likes the most
taking care of you completely
being able to coax you through your braindead state
clean you off and pose you all comfortable
you're all the sweeter when you come to, when you come back to him
Yuri – S/O's Quirk: Tape – This Quirk allows the user to shoot extremely strong tape from openings on the user's elbows.
the tape is good for fixing most messes yuri gets himself into, clumsy fuck
also waxing!
of course he's gonna be into it
he loves the sting it leaves when you pull it off him the most
and he feels it all over again when there's red rectangular patches all across his skin the next morning
though the gluey part is a bit of a pain to wash off
sometimes he'll leave it for him to pick at throughout the day -- that way he'll get the shivers, makes him hot all over again!
he literally cannot get enough
when you do your school work or anything that diverts your attention from him, he'll be tugging at your elbow
this way you can restrain him until you're ready to ahem
put him to use
you can also use your tape to toss him around, floor to bed to floor to wherever
sometimes you even tape up his face, cover his mouth until the drool renders the tape into a thin flimsy strip
you tie his hands tighter and tighter every time, and it never breaks him
he loves it
on the other hand, yuri can be quite the slippery fuck
for emergencies, you've got some of your tape stored away
you've woken up more than once hogtied, your quirk turned against you
like it or not, yuri can easily turn the tables and you're almost never expecting it
you might have an unlimited supply, but he's too quick for your own good
Tamura – S/O's Quirk: Engine – This Quirk gives the user incredible speed by engine-like protrusions in the user's calves. The engines are fueled by orange juice, and carbonated drinks will mess the engines up.
he calls a 40 meter dash every single weekend
he sets his treadmill to train for it the whole week
but he never beats you
and it seriously pisses him off
you're always faster, no matter the game
if anything, it motivates him
he'll take the bruised ego if it helps him get into better shape
the fact that sometimes, you let him win makes his "engines" overheat faster than you can blink
he'll chase you and chase you for hours
fueled on adrenaline and testosterone, there's no way he'll tap out before you
expect a long, hard bite once he catches you
he goes absolutely animalistic
that lilt in his voice when he finally gets to sink his teeth into your shoulder, even if it's through a shirt, that doesn't matter to him
"caught you"
Jimmy – S/O's Quirk: Sugar Rush – This Quirk allows the user to become stronger and faster every 10 grams of sugar they eat for three minutes. The more the user uses this Quirk, the dumber they get.
every time he catches you snacking on a chocolate bar his whole brain turns off
he's practically jumping, the way he bounces around
waiting for you to inevitably choke slam him against the nearest surface
wall, couch, bed, anything
he likes it when you just toss him over your shoulder
even more the way your hits are harder than usual
he antagonizes you on purpose
making sure to stuff a grocery cart full of sweets he knows you like so that he can catch you snacking and make him pay through the nose
he always asks so nicely
but when you won't give in, well that just won't do!
doses your miso with sugar, drops in three extra cubes in your milk tea, encourages extra flan for dessert
for the next three minutes, you're nearly tripping over yourself
everything is lighter
and then when the crash hits---
jimmy can finally take what he wants
and karma is quite the bitch

sliiiiiides into ur dms with semi-ancient youtube au ideas because I may or may not have reappeared after *checks watch* four years to lurk through your haikyuu tag. Consider: kiyoko being insecure because she hangs out with yacchan and yams and tsukki, all of whom sing and/or play instruments and kiyoko's like "...I'm just pretty and a functional adult, you guys are all so talented". Also consider noya scaring the shit out of asahi who is worried for his boyfriend's health and safety
I haven’t written a thing of substance all summer, and these prompts just SENT me. Some Youtube AU is exactly what I need.
-
Shimizu Kiyoko is not an actress. This much she’s figured out; after a long day on set of one of Ennoshita’s short skits in which she just couldn’t deliver the lines right, couldn’t emote enough for the camera, and many more mishaps that Ennoshita was so overly patient for, she never wants to look at a camera again. Except, of course, she has to-- because her girlfriend vlogs exciting life moments, and this apparently constituted as an exciting life moment. Kiyoko knows she looks put-off in the background as Yachi vlogs in the back of their Uber, and she feels bad for not looking a little happier, but she can’t find it in her for some reason.
The thing is, Kiyoko is always at least moderately good at anything she tries-- with a few exceptions, of which she’s known for a while, like anything musical, or riding bike. She can do both, but very shakily. She had thought maybe acting would be one of the things she’s good at, because in theory it sounds easy, but either she’s really bad or Ennoshita is a mean director because what was supposed to be a two hour shoot had turned into five. Dinner had been awkward, with Kiyoko piping up even less than usual as Yachi and Ennoshita talked about anything and everything.
Kiyoko is so lost in thought that she doesn’t hear Yachi sign off from her vlog, nor does she notice they’ve pulled up in front of their apartment building; Yachi’s hand on her shoulder startles her, and her cheeks flush a bit in embarrassment.
“Hey, we’re home...You alright?” Yachi asks. Kiyoko smiles and nods stiffly.
“Just a bit tired, is all.” She says. It’s not entirely a lie; she’s exhausted from the long day she’s had, and just wants to curl up in bed with her girlfriend. “Let’s go.”
Opening the door on her side of the car, Kiyoko makes her way around the car and onto the pavement in front of their apartment building; she holds a hand out for Yachi when her door opens, which Yachi takes with a smile. They walk to the elevator in silence. Kiyoko uses her free hand to press the button for the 20th floor, and they start the ride up to their apartment. At first, it’s just as quiet as the walk in, and then Yachi starts to hum the same song playing in the elevator, quiet but still there. Kiyoko feels a soft smile tugging on her lips as she listens to her girlfriend. The elevator dings, and the doors open, and once again they’re walking; it’s a short distance down the hall to their apartment, but Yachi hums the elevator music still as they unlock the door and step in.
There’s no need to call an “I’m home!” as the both of them are coming in together, and the apartment is silent in return. Yachi lets out a tired sigh, her shoulders slumping as she slips her coat and shoes off. “It’s so good to be home~ I love Enno-san, but that shoot when so looooong! I almost fell asleep during dinner!”
Kiyoko chuckles and shakes her head, trekking up the small set of stairs that separates the entrance from the rest of the apartment. “It was a long day. I think I’m going to shower and go to bed. You going to join me?”
“That sounds good. I can wait to edit this vlog until tomorrow.” Yachi replies, muffling a yawn behind her hand. She comes up the stairs a moment later, wrapping her arms around Kiyoko, who leads her down the hall to the bedroom. Yachi falls onto the bed with a soft thunk and Kiyoko smiles as she searches the room for her bath towel. She finds it hanging behind the door, and as she’s turning to go back down the hall to the bathroom, Yachi speaks up, “Hey babe?.. Are you really okay? You looked kinda upset in the car.”
“Yeah, I’m fine,” Kiyoko hums. She leans against the doorframe, looking over at Yachi as she sits back up, The look on Yachi’s face is stern, and Kiyoko hates seeing the worry lines creasing her forehead and between her eyes. “...I suppose I was just a little disappointed in myself today. I couldn’t seem to get my lines right at all.”
“Hm? That’s all that has you upset? Honey, you did fine.”
“I know I did fine, it’s just...I had hoped I’d be good at it, is all.” Kiyoko murmurs. She’s embarrassed to say it. Yachi is normally the one that’s insecure, she’s the one that’s supposed to be strong, and here she is embarrassed over one skit. “You and Yamaguchi-kun make it look so easy...Like how you and Yamaguchi-kun or Tsukishima-kun make it look easy to play an instrument...I can’t even read a script and make it sound natural.”
Yachi frowns, standing up and crossing the small space between them. “You did just fine, dear. And-- And who cares if you’re not good at acting, or singing? There are plenty of other things people like you for.” She says.
“Yeah, I suppose. I just wish people liked me for more than my looks...All I am is pretty and a little smart.”
It’s true, even if she doesn’t want to admit it; Kiyoko only posts on her channel once a month, if that, and it’s all educational or how-to videos. She knows her following is mostly people who think she’s attractive, or Yachi’s subscribers who thought she had content similar to her girlfriend’s. How else does she have over a half a million subscribers? She’s not at all talented.
Yachi lets out an “aww!” and wraps her arms around Kiyoko, who hugs back, although a bit surprised.
“Wh- What? I said the truth.”
“That’s not what anyone thinks of you! And if it is, I’ll fight them! All of them!” Yachi says, hugging Kiyoko tight.
“I--”
“Your worth is not dependent on your talents. I mean it.”
“But--”
“Kiyoko.” Yachi’s voice is strong, probably the most assured she’s ever been, and Kiyoko pauses in her objections. She rests her head on Yachi’s shoulder, hugging her tighter.
“...How did I get so lucky?”
“I ask myself the same thing every night. Now go shower, so I can cuddle my wonderful, beautiful girlfriend.”
Kiyoko smiles as Yachi pulls away, her cheeks flushed. She supposes as long as Yachi loves her, she doesn’t mind if she’s the worst actor in the world.

Mild Manga spoilers for the Asanoya drabble but like very mild.
Asahi Azumane, despite his affluence in Japanese fashion, does not go on social media often-- that is, unless his boyfriend and avid world-traveller-slash-modern-day-adventurer is involved. Asahi isn’t able to go on every trip Noya goes on, since his days are busy, but he watches Noya’s videos whilst he’s away.
Even if Noya calls and details his adventures, Asahi finds comfort --and occasional terror-- in Noya’s vlogs. Seeing Noya (and, on occasion, Tanaka) doing wild stunts in a foreign country is terrifying and sends Asahi’s heart racing.
Asahi isn’t on social media. Which makes him even more concerned when he logs onto twitter and finds a two-day-old tweet from his boyfriend, the caption on a picture of bloody teeth in a hotel room’s bathroom sink saying “Lol @ tana_ryuu_vlog and I tried surfing in the HUGE tub in my hotel room....Didn’t go too great. Vlog where this happened coming sometime this week!”
Asahi’s heart sinks and he thinks back to when Noya called him from Bali last night-- he hadn’t said anything about losing his teeth, or an accident of any kind. Yet here Asahi is, staring at the tweet with trembling hands. He doesn’t even noticed he’s exited out of his twitter and into his phone dialer until he sees Noya’s name on the screen, the call processing. He holds the phone to his ear, trying to remember to breathe.
“Hello? Babe, everything alright? You should be working right now.” Noya sounds tired, like he was asleep, and-- right, it’s only nine in the morning where he is right now.
“I’m-- I’m fine. Are you okay? I saw your tweet.” Asahi asks, his voice quiet.
“Huh? Which one?”
“You tried...bathtub surfing...”
There’s a quiet “Ah!” and Noya laughs, his tone light despite Asahi’s anxiety. “Right! That was so hilarious, babe, Ryuu lost his two front teeth! Ennoshita-san is going to kill him!”
It takes a moment for Asahi to process. When he finally does, he blinks. Once, twice. “I-- What?”
“Yeah, we have ‘em in a glass of milk, he’s going to an emergency dentist across town right now to see if they can put ‘em back in, or if he’ll have to get an implant in when we get back to Japan.”
...Sometimes Asahi wonders why he loves him so much.

Anon Request
Tumblr media
Hi! I’m incredibly sorry I got to this so late but I am so excited to get started on this, thank you for requesting! (Gifs are not mine)
Also warning, there may be the occasional swear words.
Mizuki:
Tumblr media
Alright, Mizuki is known for having some sort of obsession over things and people that he likes.
Especially when he deems them cute.
Especially x2 when he knows that that they’re here to stay with him.
So when he meets his s/o for the first time, he immediately notices your height first. I mean you’re so cute???
He also imagines you as his own personal pocket pet that humans are always gushing about? Like, he’s tempted to turn you into one of them.
Then he realizes that’s creepy and he’s not trying to do that since he’s learning from Nanami so…
He’s very bubbly and openly shows his enthusiasm whenever you come around the shrine with Nanami.
He absolutely loVeS the height difference between you and him. I mean, he’s 5'8 which he doesn’t consider very tall so to find a guy that’s shorter than him with looks to boot? He’s in.
He tries not to get overzealous when talking about his life story since he doesn’t want you to get scared of him.
He purposely left out the part where he trapped Nanami in his own God’s shrine but you knew anyway.
He likes to hold your hand and compare their sizes because he finds that interesting that yours may or may not be significantly shorter than his.
He teaches you how to play the flute in the most cringeworthy way possible like when he puts his fingers on top of yours while he’s behind you?
Yeah, cringeworthy but slightly sweet.
He loves to hover over you when you’re doing something like cooking or reading a book without you noticing just so he can scare you.
That little shit
He occasionally likes to scoop you into his arms for a hug and then randomly lift you up because he’s feeling extra that day.
Or maybe he just had a bad day.
Speaking of bad days, he always likes it when his s/o clings to him for a bit and reassures him that they’re not leaving since, again, attachment issues.
Mizuki, although obsessive at times, doesn’t actually get too jealous of when you hang around other guys or girls.
I mean, he wouldn’t like it if you spent more of your time with them than him but he’s not stingy with you, if that makes sense lmao.
But he definitely wouldn’t allow you to hang around Tomoe and Kurama too much. Having Tomoe’s scent on you is enough, he doesn’t need that crow’s scent on you as well.
I don’t know, apparently scent is important to him and his scent on you also sort of repels other demons and/or akashi from getting too close.
Kanato:
Tumblr media
Ok, hear me out.
Kanato is 5'4. I’m not saying there aren’t any guys under 5'4 but they’re rare to find
So if he does encounter any male below his height, he is immediately amused. (And somewhat interested, let’s be honest.)
If you aren’t, that’s ok. You still get his attention somehow. If you’re obnoxiously loud, your style is interesting, or you’re great in the art like writing or singing, you’ll get him interested to some extent.
I feel like Kanato is one of the last of the brothers to accept he’s even remotely interested in men in that regard. Like, borderline homophobic.
Honestly it probably stems from something incredibly superficial like he doesn’t find men, “conventionally cute.”
When he does eventually come to terms with it, he’d probably invite them over for a tea party with sweets and tea.
Given that it would be you playing butler because he’s suddenly found of having a cute guy serving him.
He’ll be the type of guy to ask you out by threatening you so…not entirely romantic but if you like the dude, I won’t judge.
The relationship is not so toxic(?) It’s just where one is more high maintenance than the other and so you kinda have to bend over backwards a lot.
I mean, he does like you but it’s just different? He either can’t show it properly or does not show it at all.
Admittedly, there are times where he just disregards teddy’s existence in exchange for cuddling you when he’s tired.
You also coax him into sleeping earlier so you could cuddle. (He’ll complain and thrash about like a child but he does it less the more you ask.)
He enjoys your body temperature way too much.
Might even sneak in a little nibble since he liked your warmth way too much to the point he wanted to feel more.
Plus, your size makes it perfect for him to cuddle you. To him you’re not too big and not too small, just right for him.
It will probably take a while before you can actually kiss him or anything.
When it does happen though, expect it to be messy and maybe one or two of his brothers peeping in his room to watch you two.
They’ll probably photograph that, just saying.
Tamura:
Tumblr media
Warning, slight ns¿fw ahead
Lmao, you gave me the power of choice so here he is. (This entire post will probably get taken down because of this gif ffs.)
Since he’s gay in canon, or just generally is comfortable with guys in every sense of the word, I thought he’d be the most likely love to have a short s/o.
I feel like Tamura is the type of guy that absolutely loves anyone shorter than him and will tease the ever loving shit out of them. If they’re quiet and reserved or really loud, outgoing and a tease, you’ve probably got yourself a blue-haired shark after you.
He’s also a tsundere type so he definitely won’t be the one to initiate any type of conversation between you two.
Of course, let’s say you came to their, “after school club” during visiting hours, he’d be super over-protective because he feels like you probably didn’t know what their club was for.
And now that the other members know who you are, they won’t leave you alone since they know for a fact their little Tamu likes you.
Toono is probably a great friend for you since you’re in the same class.
So is Yaguchi.
You’ve known Yaguchi since you were kids so you know the real, “Yacchan.”
You also know Kashima which is pretty cool for you since he’s a great friend and confidant but not so cool for poor Tamu-chan.
If you do like Tamura, it would be an interesting scenario for the rest of Yaribu to witness.
You like Tamura and are jealous of Yacchan while Tamura likes you and is jealous of Kashima.
You hang around Kashima mainly because you’re both pretty new to the whole, “liking boys” scene and tell each other your insighits.
Tamura has no excuse to talk to you but with the help of Toono and Kashima, they both secretly pull the strings to make you see each other more than before.
When you do start going out, it’s a little hard for him since he wants to be loyal to you but he kind of needs to do his business in the club.
But if you assure him it’s fine, he’ll be wary but at least he has your consent.
He kind of abstains from sex? He probably only uses toys now on others instead of actually giving them a good pegging.
If it does start to get a little out of hand, like Tamura still doesn’t serve for the club properly, Akemi will probably force you to be recruited.
He doesn’t really like initiating a lot of the romantic or affectionate stuff but he does like it when you give him little kisses here and there throughout the day
or quick hugs,
Or just a simple affectionate touch on his face to assure him that the day will pass by fast and you’ll see him later.
There would definitely be a time where his s/o told them they’d have, “a fun time” when they got to their dorms.
Turns out they were just going to watch a movie.d
Is Tamura disappointed? Yes.
But will he wait until you’re ready? Fuck yeah.

*•.¸♡ synopsis ♡¸.•*
You came to watch the Schweiden Adlers vs. MSBY Jackals with your childhood best friend Yachi and the squad. First-year squad. And that includes Tsukishima Kei. That tall, blonde, gorgeous, salty, and once was yours but you got to let go four years ago. With hearts thumping loud and thoughts screaming out on its own. “I miss you. I’ve missed you to the point that I can’t breathe. I miss you, please be back” These words are just waiting to be spoken like some kind of soulmates telepathy. Will they be able to say it? Will they still be able to fulfill that promise? or…

"I used to wonder why, why they could never be happy. I used to close my eyes and pray for a whole another family. Where everything was fine, one that felt like mine. I swore I would never be like them But I was just a kid back then"

Akutagawa Ayaka. A 22-year-old novelist residing in Tokyo. A girl that lives in a pen name that consists of your goal and hope in life. Akutagawa for your dream of achieving the Akutagawa Award one day. Seemed silly because it’ll be so obvious if you ever get to be nominated in it. Ayaka which define as "a colorful flower". Colorful Flower You've always wanted your life to be filled with colors and to be treated like a proper girl you are. Happiness. All you ever wanted is happiness. As a young girl, you grew up to be in a facade family. From the outside, it's perfect but in reality? it's far near the word perfect. You have an incompetent and unfaithful father which brought you distrust with men and a belief that you can never, ever rely on them. And your uncomplaining mother which pretends nothing is happening even though their marriage is already failing and is just enduring the suffering all to herself. Your family has brought you believing not to believe in love and marriage. Your family brought you to just believe yourself and be an independent woman. Relying on and believing in yourself until you reach your goal. Your goal is to be a writer. You love reading books so much. Gathering knowledge, bringing you into a non-existent world, and making you feel a feeling that you can't and never will, you suppose. This hobby which made you also love writing. As it is the only way that you can convey your thoughts into. But things changed when you met this cute neighbor of yours in Miyagi. Yachi Hitoka. She successfully changed your beliefs and perspective in life. She made you an optimistic person, adaptable to any kind of situation, confident, and trusting. Both of you, always hand in hand in all situations. Decided to be into the same schools from middle school until college. You guys are town's people A & B. She's imaginative as heck which helped u improve your mind from creating different universes. Always simping to different kinds of people. Nonetheless of its gender, age, and existence, as long as it's pleasing to the eyes; welcome to low-key hoe life girl! Low-key? Well, both of you excel in class that's why no one knew about your true natures. But most importantly, both of you are always there together through ups and downs. "Sisters from different mothers" should we say. Both of you decided to attend high school in Karasuno High School. Without knowing anything, this high school leads both of you into a path none of you would've believed you'd walk into. You thought meeting and being best friends with Yachi is enough to put colors in your life. But damn, Karasuno, you did us so well. Your friends. that's it. That's the whole point of this chapter. (just kidding) You and Yachi got separated by your classes. She got into class 5 and you got into 4. You just don't know how in the world both of you got separated. But one thing's certain by this separation. Your life became more vibrant and picturesque when you've got to meet these other four first years. Also, as time allowed you and Yachi, you even got to be part of a club. A family in your perspective, a truly genuine one. They support, they love, they soft, they attacc, they protecc, but most importantly, you've found home and warmth within them and always gave u snacc. Karasuno High School Volleyball Club. You're not officially one of them because you've got to be in the Literature Club first but when Yachi got to be one of their managers. "Hello, my comfort zone!!" you tell yourself every time you watch their practice when you have free time. You've got to be yourself here more than you got to be with your biological family. You even treated it as one of the concrete pillars that supports your life.
Tumblr media
"Y/N!!" Yachi shrieked upon seeing you "Yacchan bby!! I've missed you" as both of you squealed in unison. "Awww I've missed seeing this precious face of yours. Tokyo did things to you huh. Your style? lovely!!" as she hugged you tightly as both of you haven't seen each other for a year because you've been busy ever since your light novel got its spotlight to your target audience. "How's your life now? I'm so proud of you!! like really. The joy that I'm feeling right now? It cannot be equated by some kid's joy when they receive a new toy from their parents. So how's living alone and the "Akutagawa Award" that you've been drooling off since we're young?" Oh right!! you're already like one step closer to your goals. You're finally a nominee for the 161st Akutagawa Award in the month of January 2019. Also, you're now living independently alone. Things got settled with your family. Your parents got divorced and now your mother has recovered from the trauma and is now peacefully settled with your grandmother, helping with running the family restaurant. Everything's settled now but why does it still feel like a single puzzle piece is missing? "Yachi." A voice that sends shivers down your spine. A voice that you're over-familiar with. A voice that's soothing that you've felt comfortable with. A voice that you've also missed over the years. "Oh, you're here Y/N!!" he exclaimed "Yes, I am. Hello...."
Tumblr media
*•.¸♡ a/n: phew, no keyboard crisis this time haha. I have decided to upload chapters as many as I can because of something. the story won’t be rushed, I promise! I just got scared with some matters and that’s why I won’t be leaving u guys on some kind of cliffhangers. n e way, sorry this is somehow a filler and there’s no mention of tsuki, but thank u again very muchh for reading this. I’m giving u guys all my heart (if u want it hehe :3) my research for akutagawa award is lacking so gomen kuroo is alive and is found omg sksksksks

                                            Food chain.
You never really think about what it's like to be a mouse in the wild. All the predators that are about. Always running to get away just at the nick of time. Burying yourself deep in the dirt from danger. I think I never thought about what it's like to be a mouse in the wild because it makes me sad. The small mouse runs and runs about, just trying to eat and survive. Then some cruel creature snuffs it out before devouring it. Or the run is never over, there's never a moment of peace for the poor thing.
Yes, we never think about what it's like to be a mouse because we ourselves, are foxes. We live at the top of the food chain. The insignificant suffering of mice doesn't concern us, until it is us.
I remember my life as a fox. I was free, I had everything a girl could want. I had amazing understanding parents, a strong friendship group since primary school, a handsome boyfriend. But my life as a fox was only a facade, really. Really all of our lives as foxes, are facades. It doesn't take much to take us from the top of the food chain to someone's personal play thing. To go from free to play games in the court yard to stuck in a gym, under a watchful eye. The amazing thing about predators however, are that they're so cruel fully smart. It's almost a joke really. They let you think you're safe, maybe even leave you alone for weeks but make no mistake you're still prey.
The day I started to be hunted was like any other day I suppose. Not anything special. I woke up, texted my boyfriend good morning gave my mom a kiss and a thank you for yet another homemade meal. I let my shoes slap the wet pavement hearing that familiar sploosh sound. I carried myself all the way up to my chittering best friends. Arrived at school and traded my shoes out, a normal day. The last bit of normalcy god would grace me with.
After the last class before lunch I began to get up from my seat before a hand wrapped their thick fingers around my elbow. I was startled to say the least, not quite panicked yet.  When I turned to meet my aggressor my surprise was met with confusion. It was the setter to our volleyball club. He was a nice guy, quiet handsome too! However I never watched the games so I only knew how good he was by word of mouth. Not like I didn't know who he was, I mean he's a very talented setter. After all he help lead our team to nationals! It's just the games I sat and watched were for baseball. As my boyfriend lead the team.
"Are you looking for Yacchan?" One of the managers for the team. In addition to being one of the cutest girls in our grade.
"No." He was stoic. His icy blue eyes never letting up, similar to his fingers gripping me.
"Well then if it's not too much to ask, can you let go of my elbow? I mean you do already have my attention." I remained calm, the kid was just social awkward, not malicious. Or as far as I could tell back then.
"S-sorry..." He let his fingers untangle. As i went to rub my elbow a little he looked apathetic, if only for just a second.
"I think you're very pretty." That's when my heart started pounding. I was used to confessions, sure. I'm fairly pretty and a kind person I like to believe. It's just, the way he said it I think. The words only loud enough for me to hear. Mind so focused on him I didn't even realize there was no one to hear him now. Only me him, and four walls. Usually such sweet words by such a handsome boy would of made girls swoon!
They had a sort of, danger to them. A danger that only prey could feel.
"Oh. Well, thank you." I didn't know what else to say. What was I supposed to say? Not wanting the interaction to last much longer I grabbed my things and tried to make a break for it. Then I felt his fingers grip my elbow again.
"I want you to go out with me." The pounding increased at the thought of what I had no choice but to say next.
"Oh, well that's very kind of you Kageyama-kun, but I uh, well I have a" The longer I took to give him an answer that wasn't an immediate "yes" the tighter his fingers got. Like he was yelling at me almost, without using his words. A silent threat that only I knew.
The first of many of those. Calculative, not explosive.
"I have a boyfriend!" The final dose of courage pushed itself from my belly, past my teeth and into the air. Quite possibly the last bit I had.
"Well isn't that just a shame." His words were simple, but I couldn't help but think of them as a threat.
"Well, um, i'm sorry but please let me go now." Thankfully, he did what I asked.
"Besides, you're so handsome you can get any girl! Or boy! I-I'm not discriminating! Just not me ok? I wish you luck though." I didn't want to piss the poor guy off too bad. After all if I compliment and encourage him he can't be mad I rejected him. So I gave him my signature big smile, with a wave good bye.
He smiled at me. Maybe it was the lighting, but the natural dips and shadows in his face seem darker. "I'll see you later."
I told myself he would in-fact, not see me later. That I'd never have to see him again. I could just go to my boyfriends practice, and all would be well. That's what I told myself. I learned, however that just because you tell yourself a lie enough times; doesn't make it real. But for the rest of that day, I got the pleasure of indulging in my fantasy that I was still free.
The first to get pricked off was my boyfriend.
He told me that there were "others more deserving of me." I told him that was bullshit and if he wanted it to be over he should just tell me instead of trying to whoo me into believing a lie. That made tears fall from his eyes. He looked so helpless.  I consoled him and told him it was alright.
If I would of been any more understanding, anymore intuitive, I would of saw he was holding his bent in an unnatural way arm at his side. Holding it back so I couldn't really see it. I think back now and wonder just how many reasons he was crying.
I let him go, content in the fact that he had his own personal reasons for letting me go.
I cried to my best friend, (BF/N), she had always been there for me. Since the third grade, putting ribbons in my hair to tripping the girl who called me ugly in the hallway, to now, crying over a stupid boy. She meant everything to me.
I think that's why he left her for last.
While my other close friends were being picked off, leaving me to be lonely, Kageyama made sure that I knew I was trapped. Under my desk there would be notes detailing what I had done the previous night, even if it was as simple as me sitting down and eating a bowl of ramen to my favorite show.  He picked up on every little thing I did and made sure he put explicit detail in every sick love note. There was one that detailed about how when I eat my ramen, I pop the egg and stir it before I spread the yoke over the noodles. I've done that since the fourth grade, (BF/N) showed me. I'm sure lots of my close friends had seen it.
That's just not too comforting of a thought when you lost all your close friends these past few weeks.
My only relief from these notes was throwing them in the trash. I outright refused to be backed into a corner. If someone was gonna stalk me, I was not gonna go down easily.
Once he got the message his notes weren't enough, he put them in my mailbox. These ones were more disgusting. He wrote about all the things he wanted to do to me. About how easy it would be and no one could stop him. I cried for the first time reading the notes, my friends were gone, my boyfriend was gone, and I was being stalked. It was altogether too much, I couldn't blame myself for crying, for showing weakness. I just wished I had saved the water works for inside, because the next note was about how beautiful I was when I shook from fear and sobbed.  About how badly he wished he could see it up close and personal, how he wanted to see me crying underneath him.
 I was loosing it.
The only thing keeping me sane, was (BF/N). She held me during school, she stayed up late on the phone with me, she'd be on the phone when I was walking alone. My guardian angel.
Then, just as he planned when I was at my lowest, he moved in.
It was a cold night, fog was everywhere. I hate fog. You can't see anything in it, it's cold, It brings evil. I luckily made it home safe that night, but what I didn't know was that I had a visitor. Tailing behind me, with his cruel trained eyes. It had been about a week since the last note about wanting me crying underneath him had happed.  I let myself believe another lie, that he lost interest, that he moved on. If only for a second, I felt safe. I had slept so peacefully that night, dreaming of my old life, dreaming of getting it back. I was safely tucked under my blankets, covered in warmth.  Then I felt a small cold breeze on the left side of my body, where my window was.  I of course didn't make the connection in my dream state, I thought it was a simple beach breeze.
Besides, I was quickly covered by warmth again. The warmth, even in my sleep just didn't feel right. It felt heavy, suffocating even. I was so uncomfortable I finally stirred myself awake. So ignorantly dreaming I was just over heating by my amount of pillows!
When I opened my eyes there he was.
I tried blinking it away, telling myself this wasn't real. But it was as real as the fog seeping into my room.
"You're so beautiful."
"Get off of me." I tried my best to sound strong, make it sound like a demand. It sounded like plea.
He moved his head lower to mine to make contact with my lips. I turned my head so fast. Blinking away the panic tears I didn't even realize were forming. I began to kick and push him off. It wasn't working, my efforts were being drowned out by his large arms and muscular body.  With one hand holding my two wrists above me, he wrapped his fingers around my jaw, forcing me to look at him. His generous movement gave me the adrenaline to yell out.
Unfortunately for me, he was two steps ahead and already knew what I was gonna do. What else was I supposed to do? Not scream when there's a big stranger in my house, on top of me, holding me down.
The taste of his fingers isn't that too unfamiliar to me now.  That first time though. When he pushed them so far back I could of swore I could of choked. The first time any human being forced something in my mouth. In my own home too. He took the final last bit of my safety that night, fingers in my throat, hands above my head.
I coughed and squirmed and tried so hard to scream, something to make it stop.
What had I done? Out of all the girls he could get willingly. Why did he have to force me? Out of all the billions of fearful thoughts through my mind. I couldn't help but be inquisitive.
"Stop making this difficult."
I couldn't say anything, so I just laid there and cried. Ultimately giving him something he wanted.
"You, are my girlfriend now." Through forceful choked sobs I tried my best sputter a "why". If he understood me, he chose not to give me the time of day.
"You get to be around me and only me." He took his fingers and pressed them more down. Forcing his hand inside too, my jaw was gonna break any second if he added more.
"If you don't, I'm not only gonna bash your dumbass whore best friends brains in." His evil words forced a groan of agony from me. "I'm gonna start with your toes, I'll break every single one of them. Just so you can't get up. Just so you have to stay by me. And if that doesn't work, maybe you push yourself up through the pain? I'll cut your achilles' tendon. Oh and this time if you wanna try crawling away-" He paused fully letting the sounds of my raged breathing mixed with sobs bury itself in his ears before continuing. "I'll break each of your arms. Maybe even in multiple spots." His eyes wandered up to the wrists he were currently caging. He let me sob underneath him for a while, taking in every bit of my pain for his sick pleasure. I'd finally caught my breath, tears beginning to form eye crust locking my eyelashes together. My eyes were too weak to pry open too far. And I was quiet thankful for it.
"Do you understand?" His voice was so cold. I couldn't say anything with his hand down my throat so I nodded slowly. The slight movement of my head causing my jaw to scream at me to stop. The fear boiling in my head screamed at me to do so anyways. His slight cease of pressure was a whole world difference in pain. I breathed a sigh of relief when he began to pull his fingers out of mouth, slowly. So painfully slowly. When the digits were finally removed he leaned down to make contact with my lips. I didn't move, I didn't dare to consider it. I didn't move my lips back, however. I didn't want him to get that satisfaction. Unfortunately for me that was taken as defiance.
That loud, quick sound being made in a quiet room made my situation even more apparent in the dark. My cheek stung. I couldn't cry anymore, I think I cried every ounce of water out of my body. Physically I was just so weak from fighting him. All the adrenaline seeped out of every pore of my body. The only thing left to feel was the sting in my cheek and ache in my jaw. He let his fingers wrap around my chin before forcing me to look at him in the eyes. I let my eyes flutter up to his angry form, ragged breathing mixed with anger. The concoction was clearly running it's course through his body. I just wanted it to end, I could of fought, should of fought, but I gave in. I puckered up my lips and waiting for the impact. The kiss wasn't forceful. It was small, almost merciful. If I couldn't feel his wicked smirk I would of thought it was beautiful.
"That's my good little mouse."
From then out my existence was only for him. I ceased to be my own person. Once I was done with school I was to report to the gym, and if there was no practice I was to sit pretty outside my classroom and wait for him. Lunches were spent, with him, underneath a tree far from everyone else. He liked it when he was the only one who got to see me. Usually he'd force me into his lap and feed me.
Sometimes he wouldn't even have to force, I grew very fond of when he was gentle. And boy could he be, gentle. He would rub circles in my back and run his fingers through myhair if I didn't so much as move my eyes off of him during practice. If I was just his good mouse, and his only.
My parents loved him too. The perfect boy for me! That's what they told me. So polite and well mannered. I wish I could tell them all his vulgarities he did to me behind closed doors. He had everyone fooled into thinking we were a loving couple. No one questioned a single thing. He may have been bad at school, but he wasn't bad at his entrapment.  I started believing he was a sweet lover. Everyone told me so, and he could be so sweet. Even if it was a seldom given sweetness. I suppose I feared myself into loving him. All it took was one time for me to learn.
 Learn not to be disobedient.
My first and last time I didn't obey him was when BF/N asked me to go to her house. It was just one night out of every night of the week. I deserved some alone time. BF/N, deserved, some time with me. I didn't ask which could of been my first mistake.
"Come ooooon! I never see you! It's not fair. Just this once! my parents miss you too!!"
I looked at her, then my shoes. My eyes wandered to my knees, they had big ugly bruises on them. Kageyama prefers me on my knees. I rubbed my thighs, nervously pondering her inquiry. They held bruises too, bruises and stories I would never have the courage to retell.
"I don't know...Kageyama gets really...upset when I'm not-"
"Constantly on his dick?" She smirked as my face went flushed to a deep red. I just wished she knew how painfully true it was.
"No," I paused forcing myself to smile. "when I'm not with him he gets nervous. You know, messes up his game!"
"Ah huh, sure. So you're saying he matters more than me?"
"You know that's not-"
"Then I'll see you at the gate then!"
"Wait!" She didn't. She had decided for me.
I pondered what he would do. He did get rather violent if i stepped out of line even a little bit. Throwing me around. When he wanted to get intimate it felt more like a lesson than love. If I was lucky he would kiss me sweetly and wouldn't wrap his arms so tightly around me after. If I was lucky. He never had a punishment for me yet. I hadn't been dumb enough just yet to deserve one. So I foolishly told myself that if I just text him, he couldn't say no and it would be too late already. I could just dote on him a little extra, do him a few extra favors. It would all be alright.
"Oh so you aren't dickmatized!"
"Shut up! Oh my god." She was vulgar, but I missed it.
She linked arms with me and leaned in. "I missed you ass face."
"I love you too." I pulled out my phone and sent him a simple message.
"I'm gonna be with BF/N, I'll see you tomorrow <3" I thought the heart would soften the blow, at least a little. It didn't.
He sat in the gym, pure fury. Where the fuck is she? She knows the rules! Is she with her ex? I'll break his other arm. I'll break her arm. She has ten fucking seconds before-
PING
"Huh?" Kageyama read the words over and over again. A small bit of him was relieved that you weren't with a boy. But you broke a rule! And without even asking if you could. He kept his face stone cold, choosing what was best fit for your punishment. Smiling when he finally settled on what he was gonna do to you. But for now, he was gonna play volleyball, and you were gonna have fun with your friend. The last time I'd ever get that luxury.
It went off without a hitch! The two of us played card games, gossiped about the boys she had her eyes on. She went into great detail about the play she was gonna star in. The tickets she handed me we're beautiful gold wording with a baby pink background. I couldn't of been proud of her. We ran lines together for a while before it was dinner time and her family, practically my family pegged me with questions. Saying how much they missed me. How much of a good guy Kageyama must be. I smiled and nodded. BF/N didn't seem as enthusiastic. We went back into her room after I was thoroughly embarrassed about their inquiries.
Her mood shifted once the door swung closed. Her body stiff and rigid, her features riddled with determination. Determination for the truth. She sat me down, looked me deep in the eyes before she asked me something she'd been wondering for months.
"Why do you have so many bruises?" The question hit my like a train going 300 miles per hour. I had done my best to cover them all up. I wore the most modest set of gym clothes I could manage. I pulled my skirt down on days Kageyama had, stamina, for longer than usual the night before.
"I don't know-"
"Please don't insult my intelligence and our friendship. I think you know I know you better than that." Her eyes had such pain in them. Why did they have so much pain?
"Kageyama and I...we like to have fun."
"We? Or he?" I couldn't tell her the truth. No matter how much I desperately wanted to. I knew the rules, I knew the consequences.
"I don't know what you mean." I laughed, I had to even if it sounded fake. Whatever I could do to fool her. "Me and Kageyama indulge in some rather, rough, adult stuff...ok"
"Being rough is ok, but" Her voice was wavering. So much pain and I just couldn't understand why. "but why do you flinch every time he touches you?" She was way too perceptive. She always had been.
"Listen...please stop ok. We don't need to ruin our night by talking about him."
"So you aren't gonna answer me?" I looked down.
"Please..." The silence was deafening. I could hear my heart pound in it. I'm sure she could too.
"Well then" Her voice went back to being chipper. Even if it was forced. "he likes it rough then." She laughed before looking at her fingers.
"I don't believe you." I looked up fast but before I could reply she talked.
"That Hinata guys kinda cute...you wanna give me his number?" This time, I giggled.
"Maaaaayybe.."
She walked me home, arm in mine. I had been so caught up in talking with her for hours i hadn't noticed the dangerously silent radio static from Kageyama. It was so peaceful. Not having to answer to him for a short while. I walked through the door at about 10:23, so of course my parents were asleep. I smiled, it was so peaceful. No movement, and I was till high on my ounce of freedom I stole for myself.  I was nothing short of a fool for thinking it wasn't the calm before the storm.
I unclothed myself, letting my ligaments get a little freedoms from their tension with a stretch. I looked down at my body. Bruises and bite marks everywhere. He had bit a heart into my stomach. On my breasts he made a hickey pattern that spelt "mine". I had to give it to him, that took skill. My finger tips ran over them and I shuddered. It hurt so bad. It hurt so bad. No matter how many times he kissed them. Every time I breathed. Every time I had moved my arm to reach something. The sting stayed as a reminder I was his when he himself couldn't do it himself.  I pushed back my tears into a sigh before I turned around to my dresser. I didn't get that far, however. Kageyama was standing there with his arms crossed over his chest, huffing and puffing.
"Tobio-"
"You know what has to happen."
"Please-" My eyes began to water and my knees were jello. He turned to my radio and turned it up. I knew what he was doing.
He was covering the sounds.
"I-I I- I texted you-" My voice was so quiet. So defeated.
"You never asked. You knew I would of said no didn't you?" He walked forward and moved his hands to his belt.
"Please I'm sorry. I won't do it again!" He had already popped his belt off.
"What'd you two talk about?" He cocked his head. "Did you tell her how much I love you?"
"Yes! Yes I did! Look here! S-she she even gave me tickets to her s-show!" I went to my pockets faster than he could pull the belt all the way off.
"Get on your knees." I obliged and held them out. He took them and scanned them over.
"See! We can get all dressed up, and, and everyone can..." The tear rang louder than the music. The breathe I was going to let go didn't get the chance to be set free.
"You're never gonna see her again."
"Please-" My whole friendship with her flashed before my eyes. All the times she held me. Sleepovers. Family dinners.
"She took your attention away from me. She did this to you." He grinned that godawful grin. I shook my head.
"Just hold still." He wrapped it over his hand and held the belt up.
"I love you, this will be over real quick." I began to hyperventilate and cry. Whispering pleas he for sure couldn't hear. Or at least didn't wanna hear.
By the time he was done, I was bloody and bruised. I laid there shaking and sobbing. When he ascended to touch my hair I flinched away from him. He frowned before forcefully pushing my hair out of my face.
"I'm sorry. You broke a rule...Come here I'll make it better." He looked so sympathetic.
And he did. His big strong arms picked me off the ground, laid me on the bed. His lips pepped every single one of my marks. Before he kissed me deep. He went under my bed and pulled out a first aid kit. It was so thoughtful of him to fix my injuries for me. So loving. He went over every single nick and mark before kissing them again. He got on top of me and looked me in the eyes before he kissed my nose. I looked him deep in the eyes before I took his face and gave him a deep kiss. It reminded me of the first night, when he forced me to kiss him. This time it was my turn
I could be a good girl, I could be his good girl. His sweet little mouse. And maybe, he would always be sweet. Maybe, just maybe, I could even love him.
My existence from that point on wasn't as much of a painful one. I was good and I got rewarded. With kisses and soft affections. He was sweet when we were intimate. If I had said no, he had such a way with words that'd i'd give in and say yes. He was the sweet boy my parents had talked about! I just didn't know he was at first. He was even shy about our love sometimes, blushing when we would hold hands in public. I think we taught each other love!   Everyone goes through pain in love! I had just gone through it a little more than normal.  Everyones relationships have their rough spouts. Rough edges. Ours was unique! Ours worked because I didn't have to think. A mindless mouse.
My job was simple. Smile. Be held, or hold. Cheer him on. Open my heart. Open my mouth. I loved him. Even if I had to be forced into it.

Confessions & Kiss
Welcome back to a short draft/drabble featuring the Karasuno 1st year squad and Delta-y/n (again). This is a continuation of “Constellations & Whistles” where the main pairing is Yamaguchi x Delta-y/n (Hitoka’s childhood friend from elementary - middle school). Time frame is roughly six weeks since Delta was introduced to the team by Hitoka. Enjoy!

Ever since you came to visit the Karasuno VBC with Hitoka, life for you became pretty rad. For example, you didn’t have to worry about eating lunch alone anymore since you were joined by either Kageyama & Hinata or Tsukki & Yamaguchi on the days Hitoka couldn’t meet up with you; walking in the hallways when you had to deliver the English class notes to the Faculty Room, you were usually stopped by some of the second year senpais like Kazuhito & Ennoshita who would escort you and tell you funny stories about Noya & Tanaka bombing the last exam; and finally on the days leading up to an official match, Shizumi-san asked if you could come watch the match.
“I-I’m not sure if I should go,” you said. You sighed as you closed your locker after changing out of your uniform shoes. It wasn’t that you were nervous about going, however you saw first hand how much the whole team had improved with the late night practices.
“What?” Hitoka asked. She gripped your shoulders in slight shock. “Delta, I know this would take you out of your comfort zone watching the guys go up against Seijoh, but I think the guys would really appreciate it if you’d come...”
You remove her hands from your shoulder and give them a gentle squeeze for reassurance. You give your best friend a half smile. It’s been about a month since now since that first afternoon and perhaps you thought the volleyball club members were extremely kind and attentive to making sure the bullying you endured was reduced (mostly thanks to Tanaka and Sugawara being the founders of “protect our precious lady manager/s squad”.)
“I know you’re the one inviting me, Yacchan,” you said, releasing Hitoka’s hands. About a minute goes by for Hitoka to acknowledge her friend might have begun liking one of the members of the team.
“But you’d rather have the person you like ask you to come?” Hitoka asks sheepishly. The blush forming on the apples of your cheeks warm your face. “Holy moly, I was right, wasn’t I?”
You nod.
“Don’t make such a fuss over this development please. Yamaguchi might not even like me back...”
“Oh, I highly doubt that.”
“Yacchan, I’ll be fine. Besides, did I tell you I’m headed to see the concert tonight at the observatory with Marina-san?”
“Oh? I didn’t know your relative was in town, but have fun! I’m running a little behind to practice anyway.”
“See ya.”
You shake your head to clear your negative thoughts as you turn around mentioning you were heading to the local city science museum since your cousin was taking you to see the Holst Concert ‘Planet’ Series (once or twice a month the local observatory would either stream or have live concerts at the observatory). Your moss green combat boots made you a little bit taller than Hitoka who was gearing up for another last minute practice before the team would be off until game day doing individual practices.
Hitoka pouted, but there was a hopeful expression emerging. Unbeknownst to you, Tsukkishima let it slip during one of the first year study groups his best friend had a crush on Delta.
Kageyama and Hinata were the ones who flipped out the most, cornering Yamaguchi after morning practice with questions ranging from how he was going to confess, when did those emotions come in, and most of them were positive. Hitoka, on the other hand, had come back to the group catching wind of the endless teasing ways her fellow classmates were giving Yamaguchi. Tsukkishima continued doing his work trying to steer his company back into studying, but Hitoka decided to offer some free advice to the boys when it comes to handling a crush (especially since she would essentially personally involved in making sure Yamaguchi’s feelings go answered):
“Sometimes the simplest ways to get the person you like to notice you is if you’ express interest in learning about what makes them happy,“ Hitoka states, going back to working on preparing the lab report for her preliminary biology class. Judging by the silence she was being given as a response (even Tsukki paused his writing for a moment. Truthfully, he did want to help Yamaguchi, yet he had no clue how).
“Yamaguchi, you know how much Delta loves studying the constellations, right?Have you ever asked her about which ones are her favorite or see how worked up she gets when she found a new part of the city to go stargazing?” Hitoka states in matter-of-fact tone. “I gave you her number a couple days ago, message her and see what she says.”

『yamaguchi: hey delta. 』
『delta-y/n: hi yamaguchi! what’s up?』
『yamaguchi: mind telling me about the draco constellation?』
『delta-y/n: sure! did you know that draco means dragon in latin? are you busy after practice tonight?』
====
The days leading up the Karasuno rematch against Seijoh caused all members of the team to practice more intensely than before. There was a sort of electric switch between the students on the team. Even the most rambunctious members were eerily quiet when pondering upon different strategies (Hitoka mentioned it to you Kageyama observed one of the Grand King’s practices where the local university club players played a set against the present team.)
During break, you accompanied Hitoka at the request of Shizumi to the gym. The boys were all seen doing spiking drills with both Sugawara & Kageyama on either side of the net while Noya and the was working on his defense. You quietly observed the ambient sounds of the sneakers squeaking against the polished gym floors followed by the echoes of “toss to me!” from the players’ lips.
“Yacchan,” you whisper to your friend.
“Hmm?” Hitoka replies. Her hands are looking at the notes Shizumi handed her when you both arrived.
“I thought they were on individual practice again?”
“They are, but they do need to practice as a team.”
“Can’t argue that logic, Yacchan. I’m going to head back early. I haveTakeda-sensei’s class next & we’re covering Nakajima works.”
You tap the blonde girl’s shoulder paired with a nod and you left, the commanding sound of Sawamura’s voice echoes.
After classes had concluded, you were once again at your locker switching out your school shoes for your boots again. The skies above were cloudy and overcast with the weatherman stating there would be no reason to bring an umbrella until tomorrow. Hitoka mentioned to you that she was on cleaning duty for her class via text, stating if you wouldn’t mind, she was going to send one of the boys from the club to walk with you in her stead. You were honestly surprised a bit because as far as you knew, not very many of them (with the exception of your fellow first year compatriots) knew which neighborhood your parents house was.
You were lost in your own thoughts over thinking about how you did on your science exam as well. You didn’t really prepare for it, considering it was going to be about planetary systems, it should be a breeze. Well, except for the physics involved, but who is counting? your inner voice sasses you. You finish tying your laces and closing the door to your locker to let out a surprised gasp when you saw Yamaguchi walking in your direction. Tsukkishima apparently wasn’t with him considering his individual practice was with his brother’s neighborhood team that evening, allowing for this conversation to happen between Yamaguchi & you.
“Hey Delta-chan,” he greeted. Yamaguchi waved and you did the same.
“Oh hi, Yamaguchi-kun. You’re the one who’s gonna accompany me home?” you ask. I am going to get Hitoka back for sending my crush to walk home with me. Maybe she could buy me chocolate milk for a week, you think.
“Is that ok? I was going that way anyway to speak to Coach Ukai’s friend.”
“Sure.” You comb your hair behind an ear and as you turn around, you and Yamaguchi begin the walk home. “So you wanted to learn more about the draco constellation right?”
When you reach the convenience store, Yamaguchi introduces you to his jump-floater teacher: Shimada Makoto. You wave as a silent greeting before humming along with the song on the radio. Your attention was immediately drawn to the connect the dots magazine having an issue for the fall constellations a few aisles away leaving the student and his master to speak in confidence.
“How are your serves coming along?” Shimada asked.
“I’m improving, but I haven’t quite perfected it, but that’s ok,” Yamaguchi answered. His eyes wander to where you were thumbing through another magazine having a featurette on otherworldly planets from neighboring star systems.
“There is always room for improvement, Tadashi-san,” Shimada explains. Then, he notices how his honorary student glances at his school mate who was thumbing through another National Geographic-Japan issue. “But maybe you might feel more determined after you talk to your friend.”
Roughly twenty minutes later, you and Yamaguchi bid Shamada good bye as you both continue walking to your neighborhood. The sun had already begun to set in the twilight hour. Yamaguchi told you stories of his childhood growing up with Tsukki, being bullied for his timid demeanor; in return you told him about the shared sidewalk chalk with Hitoka and the awkward years in middle school where you found your affinity for studying the heavens. At the park that separates your house from theYamaguchi residence, you fish out your pocket telescope from your bag.
“Care to stargaze for a while with me?” you ask him extending the telescope out to him.
“Only if you come to the game we have coming up, Delta” Yamaguchi says.
His cheeks seemed a little more pink because of the way he phrased his statement. In his mind, when Hitoka had told him you might need a little more convincing to come to the match, he wasn’t exactly planning on asking you the week before it was scheduled. To be fair, it was the first time Yamaguchi also took an initiative in asking his crush to cheer him and his team on. His eyes look away from yours for a moment before you answer him. You lower your hand holding the telescope, baffled by his compromise. Your eyes study Yamaguchi’s face, taking into account how the freckles on his face are mini-star clusters you were eager to memorize. He really is good looking up close, you muse thoughtfully as you take a step forward toward him.
With your free hand, you caress Yamaguchi’s cheek so he can turn his face to see yours. He leans into your palm with a surprised sigh escaping his mouth; his blush deepens on the apples of cheeks. The freckles on his skin remind you of the red hues in the photos published on the NASA website earlier that week from the Guggenheim Conservatory.
“OK. I’ll go,” your voice is gentle like the breeze that stirs the leaves in the park. The time space continuum slows for a bit when Yamaguchi puts his hand over yours to remove it from his face. You don’t tell him how handsome you think he is while being bashful around you nor does he tell you clearly how much he was considering sharing his first kiss with you when you tell him you’d go. He leans his forehead against yours, committing the minute features of your face to memory like the scar on your eyebrow when you fell off your bike in second grade and the beauty mark on the top left corner of your cupid’s bow. With a light touch, he slowly lifts your chin up with the tip of his index finger until your face is uplifted toward his. Your breath hitches in your throat in anticipation when you feel your heartbeat pick up quickens its pace.
Yamaguchi dips his head down as if to kiss you fully, but instead you feel his lips brush against yours in a subtle manner.
“If you’re actually planning on kissing me, I suggest you do it now,” you whispered as you press your lips against his own lightly. This mutual feeling between you and Yamaguchi was as bright as a solar flare; the mutual pining ceased as soon as you felt him return your kiss. Timid Yamaguchi was grinning against your pout like he won a lottery for every time your lips met his. When you two pulled apart after the last one, he pulled you into a loose embrace.
“I really like you,” he confesses, still holding your hand. Yamaguchi’s voice for once, is not shaking because of nerves. It sounded as though there was an air of confidence emit from his vocal chords.
“Me too,” you confess too.
Your lips curl upwards into a smile as you close the distance between Yamaguchi and yourself. When you press your lips against his, you feel how well his lips mold on to yours; he catches a whiff of the light mint flavor of your lip balm. The kiss is innocently short when you two break apart. Yamaguchi is quick to notice how smitten he was with you especially seeing your cheeks slightly redden when he kisses your forehead. You glance down at your shoes kicking a small pile of construction dirt away.
“W-we don’t have to go stargazing today Tadashi,” you offer. “I think I’d like it if you take me to the cafe a few blocks away from my house.”
“OK.”

Please Don’t Be Afraid [Bokuto/Yachi]
Tumblr media
Summary: Bokuto just wants a friend but Yachi is seriously freaked around big people. But owl boy’s much more perceptive than people think and he decides to take matters into his own hands. Literally.
Words: 2,860
_______________________________________________________
“Here you go, Tsukishima,” Yachi said, handing the boy a newly filled water bottle.
“Thanks,” he replied tersely. The team had just finished (and lost) yet another practice match at the summer training camp and braved another penalty lap around the gym. It was Karasuno’s final match of the day and they took the opportunity to observe the last two teams finishing up theirs. Nekoma and Fukurodani had finished as well.
“Tsuki!” Bokuto’s loud voice suddenly sounded behind Yachi, making her jump. The tall blond turned reluctantly.
“You’re gonna jump some blocks for us again, right?” Bokuto asked.
“I’ll pass, thank you,” Tsukishima replied bluntly.
“Oh, come on! Don’t be that way, Tsuki!”  Bokuto was standing very close beside Yachi – she supposed her was just the sort of person who was so comfortable in social settings that he was partially unaware of personal space and boundaries – and each time he spoke she couldn’t help the jump caused by his loud, abrupt voice.
“Fine. Just shut up already,” said Tsukishima before turning to leave.
“Hey, little bit, does that guy ever enjoy himself?” Bokuto asked suddenly. Yachi stiffened, her eyes shifting to him tentatively.
“W-what?!”
“I’m sorry, I don’t know your name. I’m Bokuto Koutarou!” he declared brightly.
“U-um, I’m Y-Yachi… Hitoka!” she said, her voice a little higher and more panicked than she would have liked.
“Nice to meet you!” Yachi only nodded in reply, still hesitant to meet his eyes.
“W-well, um, he’s, he’s always very aloof and withdrawn from the rest of the team. The, uh, the only one he really seems to get along with is Y-Yamaguchi. Uh, h-he, um… he works hard but doesn’t seem very… passionate like, um, like the others,” Yachi explained uneasily.
Under Bokuto’s intense golden stare, the girl became more and more tense. She could feel herself getting warmer and heard her heart beating in her ears. His eyes seemed to burn holes into her head. She couldn’t help it. Big, people had always intimidated her and Bokuto was certainly in that category. His volume and bold personality didn’t help matters either. He was very close.
“Huh... Well, later Yacchan!” he declared as he went to rejoin his team.
Yachi let herself breath again and she was soon approached by Kageyama who asked her to help him with his solo practice.
____________________________________________________
Bokuto and Akaashi were heading back to their team’s sleeping quarters after their blocking/spiking practice with Kuroo and Tsukishima, chatting lightly.
“So, I was talking to Karasuno’s little bitty manager and she said Tsuki’s super cut off and board with the team. Like he’s just playing volleyball to kill time or something,” Bokuto explained a bit irritably.
“Well, that could very well be the case. Not everyone’s passionate about the things they’re involved in. Or maybe he just feels like there’s no point improving,” mused Akaashi.
“HOW!? That doesn’t make any sense! He’s gotta be playing for a reason! Maybe he just hasn’t found it yet…” They walked in silence for a moment before Bokuto spoke up again.
“Also, I think the little bitty Karasuno manager is afraid of me.”
“What makes you think that?” asked Akaashi.
“When we were talking, she was really stiff and she wouldn’t look at me. She kept stuttering. I don’t even think she was breathing.”
“She wouldn’t have been able to talk if she wasn’t breathing.”
“I just mean she was really tense!”
“She doesn’t know you. Your personality can be overwhelming to people who’ve just met you. Give her a chance to get used to you.”
“I don’t like that I scare her. She seems nice,” Bokuto muttered, pouting a little.
Another pause.
“By the way, Bokuto, where’s your jacket?” Akaashi asked.
Bokuto took a couple seconds to blink vacantly before realization appeared on his face.
“Ah! I left it in the main gym! You go on, I’ll go get it!” said Bokuto before turning to bolt in the other direction. Akaashi watched him go until he was out of sight. Sighing at his Captain’s airhead tendencies, he continued on.
_____________________________________________________
When he arrived at the main gym, Bokuto found it empty save for Yachi. It looked as though she was busy sweeping up before she left. He felt a twinge of excitement over having an opportunity to talk to her a little more and hopefully help her to not be afraid of him.
“Hi!” he announced simply, making her jump. A squeak escaped her and she turned quickly to him.
“Oh! Uh, h-hello!” she said. “Um, d-did you need something?”
“Nah, I just came back for my jacket. I left it here earlier,” he explained.
“O-oh! There was a jacket on the floor so I-I put it on that chair,” Yachi said, pointing to a folding chair set up against the wall behind her.
“Awesome! Thanks so much, Yacchan!” Just as he retrieved his jacked and put it on, Yachi finished sweeping and began to put the broom away. Bokuto watched her, thinking to himself.
“Can I ask you something, Yacchan?” he said as she came out of the supply closet hurriedly.
She stopped, looking cautiously at him before nodding slowly.
“Are you afraid of me?” Yachi’s eyes widened a bit and she looked away.
“You are! How come?!” he asked, practically whining in disappointment and looking like a kicked puppy. Yachi turned to him bowing quickly in apology.
“I-I’m so sorry! Please excuse me!” she said in a tremulous voice. The girl began running past Bokuto and out the door but he reacted on instinct and stopped her before she could leave.
“Wait! Please!” he had stepped in-between her and the door.
“Please don’t be afraid of me! I wanna be friends if we can, yeah?” he pleaded.
Yachi’s face was downcast and one hand gripped the bicep of her other arm as she shuffled nervously. When Bokuto received no response he stooped his head to an angle where he could see her face properly. Her eyes flickered up bashfully to meet his golden stare.
“Please,” he tried.
“Uh, I-I…” she broke eye contact again, stammering before she fell silent.
“Aww come on,” he said with his lip in a pout. “I’m not scary, I promise. Here look, I’ll show you.” At this, Bokuto held out his huge hands to her, palms up. “Give me your hands,” he said softly. She looked up at him, glancing between his face and his hands. Warily, she moved her hands to place them on top of his and, staring at the floor, she could feel his eyes on her. Bokuto gazed at her warmly, a soft smile on his lips because of this small accomplishment.
“See?” he prompted. Yachi gave a small nod.
It was an odd thing to do in an attempt to gain the trust of a frightened baby bird, but he couldn’t think of anything else. And honestly, Bokuto, being the simple creature that he was, saw nothing odd about it. To him, this was the purest, most simple form of bonding one could express.
“So… what is it you find so scary about me anyway?” he asked when she seemed to breathe again. There was a short silence before she answered as she built up courage to speak. Bokuto waited patiently.
“I… I’m very small.” Bokuto cocked his head to the side – looking quite like an owl – his brows furrowing as he tried to understand.
“I’m not used to being around really big people… and you have a very loud voice,” she said honestly in a small voice, still looking at the ground.
Bokuto stared at her, a little stunned at her response. When the full weight of her words hit him, he couldn’t help the smile that grew on his face. His eyes crinkled and he chuckled. Yachi looked up at him, blushing lightly.
“Sorry, sorry. It’s just cute,” he said still smiling. At this point Yachi realized they were still holding hands and squeaked in embarrassment, quickly pulling her hands away and clasping them behind her back. Bokuto chuckled again. “Have you warmed up to me enough to let me give you a hug?” She looked at him, nervously considering the question.
“Please?” he begged with an over exaggerated pouty face. She nodded and he immediately moved gleefully to embrace her in the kind of warm bear hug only Bokuto Koutarou could bestow. To her surprise – and Bokuto’s delight – Yachi almost instantly relaxed. Returning the embrace, she found she couldn’t help it. He was just so… cuddly.
“Please don’t be afraid of me, okay? I really do like you, ya know,” he said to her fondly.
“O-okay… I’m sorry.” Her response was quiet but full of intent and Bokuto’s smile grew.
“Can we please be friends?” he asked. He felt Yachi nod against his chest.
Bokuto took in a large breath and released it in a contented sigh as he tightened the embrace. This small action caused the girl to squeak and jolt in his arms.
“I’m sorry, did I hurt you? Too tight?” he asked, concern lacing his voice. Yachi shook her head vigorously. Assuming it just had something to do with her discomfort around large people, he decided to try acclimating her to the feeling by keeping the embrace, merely adjusting it, sliding one hand down to her side. The same reaction of a jump from Yachi, but this time, instead of a squeak, she produced a short-lived squeal.
They both froze.
“Are you ticklish, Yacchan?”
The question caused Yachi to start squirming and pushing on his shoulders, trying to free herself from his powerful embrace. Bokuto chuckled.
“Where are you going, little Yacchan? Was it something I said? ~” the boy teased, laughing. “Don’t go! I just wanna hug! ~” He began fluttering his fingers against her sides and she crashed into his chest, all her strength suddenly leaving her. With no hope of escaping now, she opted to simply clutch his shirt in her tiny fists, bury her face in his chest, and hide as she squirmed helplessly. She lasted all of two seconds before she succumbed to the giggles building up in her chest. Bokuto’s heart swelled at the sound.
“NOOOhohoheheheheh!” she shrieked.
“No?! You don’t like my hugs, Yacchan? You hurt my feelings~” he feigned a puppy-dog hurt expression and his voice dripped with the exaggerated pretense of pain. He moved his hands up to massage her lower ribs and her giggles morphed into full-blown laughter.
“GEEYAAhahahahahaa! Dohohahat!” Yachi’s knees began to buckle as the tickling sensations sapped her energy. Encouraged by her change in reaction, Bokuto began worming his fingers in the spaces between the sides and back of her ribs, catching her around her lower back with one arm to keep her from falling.
“Don’t what? Don’t hug you?! But that’s a fundamental in any typical friendship, Yacchan!” Bokuto said casually. “Also, how come you won’t look at me, huh? C’mon, lemme see your pretty face! ~”
With his free hand, he began squeezing the back of her neck, causing her to throw her head back and lift her shoulders in an attempt to protect the sensitive spot. Realizing that this exposed her bright red face and wide smile to him, she attempted to turn away from him.
“GEEHEHahaha! NAHA, lehemee gohohooo!” A sudden upsurge of strength and her struggling gained her momentary freedom. She made a brake for it, hoping to make it to the supply closet and find a hiding spot to wait out the Bokuto storm. She didn’t make it more than five steps, though, before the chase came to an abrupt end. Bokuto’s legs were much longer after all.
“Woops! Sorry, little birdie, but I’m not letting you get away from me that easily.” She felt Bokuto’s big arms wrap around her middle – the sudden contact making her scream in surprise – and pull her back to her tormentor. One arm still wrapped around her ribs, he dug his fingers of his free hand into the center of her stomach, vibrating it like a claw.
“NAAhahahaha! Stahahaaaap!” Yachi pushed at his sturdy arms, trying to dislodge them (with no luck) and, out of reflex, lifted her knees to her chest. This resulted in her now dangling in his hold like a ball. Bokuto laughed at this, his fond grin so wide, it made his eyes disappear in mirth. He was laughing almost as hard as Yachi when the girl started kicking weakly, and he moved his hands to knead her sides once more.
“So, wha’d’ya say, Yacchan? Are you sure you’re not still afraid of me? Cuz somethin’ tells me your last answer wasn’t entirely truthful, hmm?” he purred. Feet finally reunited with the floor, Yachi tried again to pry his arm off her, but her knees betrayed her and she found herself kneeling on the ground, gripping his forearm with her arms outstretched above her head.
“AAAAAAAHAHAHAhahahaa! NAHA NAAHOHO!” Bokuto had taken the opportunity to jab his fingers into her exposed underarm and the result was not disappointing. Yachi exploded into hysterics for all of ten seconds before she fell into wheezy, hiccupy laughter.
“Woahohooh! Hey, hey, hey, did I find the spot?!” Bokuto asked teasingly, releasing her waist and now tickling both her underarms. Yachi crumpled into a fetal position, all her fight gone, and her laughter turned silent.
Finally, Bokuto showed mercy. Grinning fondly, he released the girl and stepped back to let her breath. After a minute, Yachi’s breathing seemed to even out and he chuckled again.
“Aw man, Yacchan! Your laugh is absolutely adorable!” Bokuto said in pure honesty. “And your smile is super pretty!” Now Yachi’s face was red for a whole other reason. Bokuto sat down, crisscross and anxiously rubbing the back of his neck, before he continued.
“Alright, alright. All teasing aside, I’m really sorry about all that just now… heh… I-I couldn’t resist. Are you okay?” he asked, his tone a little gentler now. Yachi smiled weakly and nodded, too embarrassed to meet his gaze. Bokuto grinned.
“Good! But seriously, though, you’re not still afraid of me, are you?” Yachi giggled softly and finally met his golden eyes.
“Noho. I’m not afraid of you anymore. And I’m really sorry about that; I shouldn’t judge people before I know them like that. You’re a really sweet person and I’m really happy that we’re friends now. But… I don’t think I’ll be able to keep from being… a little nervous around big people.” He blinked at her in slight surprise.
“…Hahaha! Well, that’s alright! Being nervous and being afraid are two different things. I get nervous at the dentistry and hospitals, but that doesn’t mean I won’t go inside if I have to.”
A comfortable silence fell between them as they looked at each other, soft smiles carving their lips. Bokuto’s face suddenly broke into a wide grin again and Yachi was a little taken aback by its brightness.
“I have a new friend…Yay!” he exclaimed, making Yachi giggle.  He stood up and offered a hand to the girl who accepted it, and helped her to her feet.
“It’s getting late, we should get to our rooms,” Bokuto said matter-of-factly.
“Yeah. If I’m exhausted, I can’t imagine how you feel.”
“Aw, I’m alright! A little sleep and a good breakfast and I’m back in tip-top shape!” he flexed for emphasis. “Besides, it’s probably my fault you’re so exhausted now anyways,” he said with a teasing smirk.
To his surprise her response was a playful punch in the arm. It was harder than he would have expected from her. Huh.
“Ohohow! I’m sohorry, alright! Don’t hurt me, I beheg you!”
“Yeah, yeah, just go to bed, would’ ya,” she teased as she started past him to the door.
“Wait!” She stopped, turning back to face him with an expectant look on her face.
“Could I have one more hug before we go?” There was that puppy face again.
She smiled and shook her head in resignation as she approached him. Bokuto spread his arms, welcoming her before wrapping her in another warm, strong Koutarou hug, her cheek resting on his chest.
“Don’t tickle me!”
“HAHAHA! I wasn’t going to! Cohommon, Yacchan, I’m not that mean!” He released her, still chuckling softly. Giving her one last bright smile, he moved past her towards the door, poking her playfully in the side in parting. Yachi squeaked, turning quickly to frown at his back.
“Goodnight, little Yacchan~” he sang.
“Goodnight, Big Bo~” She heard him cackle as he left and a quiet, celebratory ‘yes’ was the last thing she heard. She smiled to herself. That nickname was genius if she did say so herself.
As she went to go to her room as well, she couldn’t help but think back on what the hell just happened. She wasn’t quite sure what to make of all this. It was good, there was no doubt about that, but she knew one thing for sure; there was no way she was ever going to tell Bokuto that one of the reasons she had been so skittish around him was because she thinks he’s absolutely gorgeous.
‘Holy crap, he thinks I’m cute!!!’

It‘s rare for the two of them to have a day off from practice, and rarer still for there to be nothing else to do on that day. After waking up before dawn—conditioned after years of early-morning practices—Kageyama gets to just lay in bed and watch Hinata sleep, until the rising sun dusts the bedroom floor in hazy golden streaks.
He‘s so beautiful and serene in sleep, like a fallen angel. Kageyama stares at the red thread linking their wrists together, brushing his fingertips carefully across Hinata’s forehead. He still can’t believe his luck: finding his soulmate so easily, that is. It still feels like a dream sometimes—and now they have a whole day all to themselves… What will they even do with all that free time?
“Are you watching me sleep again?” Hinata mumbles, cracking open one eye to squint at him drowsily. “I told you a dozen times already how creepy that is, Tobio.”
“You’re cute when you sleep,” Kageyama protests. “You drool. How am I supposed to help it?” He dodges the pillow aimed at his face, catching Hinata in a hug. “We have the whole day together, so I want to spend it without taking my eyes off of you. Is that so bad?”
“You’re so embarrassing,” Hinata mumbles, but he doesn’t really seem to mind all that much. “What did you want to do today?”
“Absolutely nothing.” Kageyama pulls him closer, burying his face in his hair. “Sometimes just doing that is great.”
“If I do nothing, I feel like I’ll be bored,” Hinata murmurs into his chest. “What about next to nothing—like a movie marathon?”
“Anything you want, Shouyou.” Kageyama would be content just sleeping the rest of the day, as long as Hinata is with him. But they do get up, migrating into the living room to reluctantly start the day. Kageyama makes hot chocolate—because Hinata won’t drink coffee—while the redhead puts together a list of movies to watch. Kageyama was a bit against a movie marathon at first, but snuggling with Hinata on the couch for hours on end seems pretty damn good after some reflection.
“Here.” He hands. him the mug of cocoa and settles on the couch, watching Hinata load a disk into the DVD player. “What did you pick?”
“You’ll see,” Hinata winks, retreating to the couch and expertly snaking between Kageyama’s arms. “It’s this American movie Yacchan told me about. It’s really good.”
The beginning credits start, but Kageyama pays more attention to Hinata than to the movie. He‘s watching it with as much concentration as he would an opposing team’s blockers in a match. Cute…
“This is my favorite part!” He tugs on Kageyama’s sweatshirt sleeve. “Watch, Tobio: it’s really good. Are you watching?”
On the screen, the main character is confessing her love while standing in the rain—a typically-cliché romantic scene. This is why Kageyama can never get into romantic movies: they‘re way too cheesy. A confession should be more like… “Be mine forever.”
“Huh?” Hinata glances at him in confusion. “Tobio?”
“Shouyou.” He takes Hinata’s hands, doing his best to mirror the positions of the couple on the screen. “Please… be mine. Let me be yours.” He raises Hinata’s hand to his lips to kiss his fingertips. “Be the love of my life.”
“W… what?” Hinata’s face explodes in a blush. Dammit, he was so cute. Kageyama wants to tease him a little. “Hey, what are you saying so suddenly…”
“She didn’t confess properly,” Kageyama says, releasing him and turning back to the movie. “I knew I could do better—and I didn’t even have a dramatic atmosphere. American movies are a little disappointing.”
“You—“ Hinata unexpectedly grabs him by the collar and forces his face back around. “You can’t say that to me and then just go back to watching the movie!” he fumes. “Jerk!”
“Oh yeah?” Kageyama moves closer, until he’s almost on top of him. “What do you want me to do, then?” He’s being mean now, but it’s impossible not to. “You have to use your words, Shouyou.”
“Ugh…” Hinata hides his face with a frustrated groan. “I really can’t stand you right now.” He’s blushing so hard that his ears are bright red. “But… I wanted to say that I’m… already yours, so…” He trails off, smacking his forehead against Kageyama’s shoulder. “Please don’t make me say any more…”
This dumbass… Kageyama pulls Hinata closer, basking in the warmth and familiarity of him. He really is lucky. “I love you, idiot.”
“I love you, too.” Hinata pushes him back so they’re eye-to-eye. “And just so you know; you’re mine forever, too,” he declares. “You’re my soulmate, after all.”
“Of course.” Kageyama presses their foreheads together gently, smiling against Hinata’s lips. “I wouldn’t want it any other way.”

Five Flavours | Poly first-years, T, 1.3k
NaNoWriMo Day 30: Free Day Combo Shuffle Challenge, Social Media, and Dialogue-only fic.
Summary: Yet another collection of ficlets/drabbles featuring my favourite first years.
Rules: 1. Pick a character, pairing, or fandom you like. 2. Turn on your music player and put it on random/shuffle. 3. Write a ficlet/drabble related to each song that plays. You only have the time frame of the song to finish the drabble; you start when the song starts, and stop when it’s over. No lingering afterwards! 4. Do ten of these, and then post them.
TW: Canon-typical anxiety.

A/N: Decided to go with another Shuffle Challenge because I will single-handedly resurrect this meme. Apparently, I will also fill the first-years OT5 tag loooool. Un-beta’d once again and it very much shows  /o\
Gold Rays – Vinyl Pinups
They go to the beach the first chance they all get. Summer heat beats down on everything, water glinting under the sunlight.
Hitoka brings swimming tubes for her and Tobio because neither of them can swim. Kei teases Tobio endlessly about it but helps him out nonetheless when the three of them decide to go swimming.
Shouyou and Tadashi stay on the beach to build a giant sandcastle. The craftsmanship is clearly Tadashi’s doing, but Shouyou vehemently insists that he helped with the shovel work.
At the end of the day, Shouyou posts a photo on his account:

Cough Syrup – Young the Giant
Kei catches the flu because his partners are awful and spread the infection to him. He stays home from classes one day because his head cold is so bad he can’t see straight.
He lies in bed for the majority of the day, sleeping underneath his bedsheets sweaty and uncomfortable, but what other choice does he have? He can barely sit up straight, much less move around like he’d much rather be doing. Akiteru would probably drag him back to bed if he tried anyway.
He stirs up from his nap at some point, awakening to see four pairs of eyes blinking down at him. Their faces are hidden by medical masks, so their eyes are really all he sees in his fever induced haze.
“Kei-kun?” a sweet voice says. “Are you okay?”
He coughs, which seems to be answer enough for all of them.
“We brought cough syrup, Tsukki!”
“It’s on the bedside.”
“Sorry for getting you sick, I guess.”
Kei can’t distinguish the voices from each other, but he returns to sleep with the familiar, comforting sounds of his favourite people in the world.
Boy Without A Heart – Jojo
Kei is much colder than Hitoka ever realized.
Everyone warns her, that she missed the awful time when they all first began playing together and Kei was the most infuriating person they’d ever met, that by the time she came around he dialled down his angst and snark. Tadashi tries to defend him, of course, but eventually even his protests are silenced by the others.
“Yachi,” Tobio says gravely, “are you sure you want to date him too?”
“Yeah, we’re happy with Yamaguchi already,” Shouyou says.
Kei rolls his eyes, walking out the room. Hitoka takes this as her cue to follow him. She walks out the door, sprinting to catch up to Kei.
“Kei-kun!” she calls out. “Kei-kun, wait!”
He doesn’t listen, continuing to walk away. When he turns the corner without a word, Hitoka stops, slightly shocked. He’s never ignored her before.
“Told you,” Tobio says behind her, and she turns around to she see both her boyfriends catching up to her.
“He just...” Tadashi begins, struggling. “Needs time.”
Hitoka bites her lip, unable to help herself when she stares back down the path where Kei disappeared.
Love Story – Taylor Swift
Their love isn’t forbidden like in fairy tales, or romance dramas, or the cheesy light novels they all know Kei likes to read sometimes.
The five of them grappled with their feelings for a long time before they ever came to any sort of understanding, even longer until they achieved the comfortable relationship they have now. First, there were boundaries. Then, there was the fact that Kei, Shouyou and Tobio usually wanted to tear each other’s heads off if they had the chance. And, of course, Hitoka and Tadashi had their anxiety to deal with. It was a huge mess until they sorted everything out.
They couldn’t even consider the larger picture about how everyone else would feel about them, too caught up in their emotions about each other to care about what society would say. But they each knew they wanted this, were willing to put up with whatever came their way as long as they got to do it together.
The day their landlord handed them the keys to their own place—a huge apartment that could fit all five of them, their first ever home—they celebrated with a quiet night in.
Reading Letters – P.S. I Love You Soundtrack
Hitoka opens her old high school notebooks, reading letters she both wrote and received.
Bittersweet nostalgia hits her like a wave, and she smiles through her tears when she finally reaches the last page:
A photograph of all five of them.
Pretend (Reprise) – Lights
Some days, the anxiety wins.
They each handle those days differently. Shouyou and Tadashi prefer to have the others doting on them with sympathy. Tobio and Kei prefer to seclude themselves so they could sort through their feelings first, careful because they don’t want to hurt their partners in their angst. Hitoka prefers a little bit of both.
At the end of the day though, all of them want their lovers close by so they could welcome a better tomorrow together.
BG Låten [8-bit Remix] – Spelling Phailer
Shouyou naively announces having a video game competition, so Kei easily hands the other boys’ asses to them. They all knew that Kei was better than Tadashi, and infinitely better than both Tobio and Shouyou.
Hitoka was a true dark horse.
“I, um,” she squeaks, cheeks flushed red when she sees everyone’s jaws hanging, “I like to play on my phone sometimes? And I’m comfortable with consoles since I do computer stuff a lot.”
“You beat me.” Kei’s tone easily conveys his shock.
“AMAZING, YACCHAN!” Shouyou yells, jumping onto her.
The others follow him, piling on top of their girlfriend in a giant heap. She giggles, delighted to accept their congratulations.
Sour Candy – Carly Rae Jepsen ft. Josh Ramsay
Kiyoko loved Hitoka.
Hitoka was passionate and eager, anxious but headstrong. After she first recruited Hitoka, the younger girl hung onto Kiyoko’s every word like she hung the stars. Kiyoko loved watching her grow and appreciate the sport, fall in love with the team and their camaraderie.
She didn’t expect that Hitoka falls for the team in a romantic sense too.
She and Hitoka tried to make things work after Kiyoko’s graduation, but they both knew the distance was too hard for them. Their relationship ended amicably, and though it hurt Kiyoko so much more than she could have ever anticipated, she knew that Hitoka was in good hands.
She watches in the distance when the five of them pass by—hands and arms happily clasped onto one another—and smiles.
Otter Pop – Shawn Wasabi
“Here you go: popsicles! Blue for Tobio, orange for Shouyou, lemon for Hitoka, strawberry for Tsukki.”
“Thanks, Tadashi-kun!”
“F’ank yhew!”
“Thanks.”
“Mm.”
“Ah, so refreshing!”
(grin)
“Tadashi-kun, are you gonna eat yours?”
“Oh, yes!”
“What flavour did you get?”
“Melon.”
“Aw, lemme try!”
“Okay, just don’t get your slobber over it.”
“I won’t!”
“He will.”
“Shut up, Tobio!”
“Guys, can we just enjoy ourselves, please?”
(sigh)
“Apparently not without a fight.”
Best Starships Ever (Nicki Minaj vs 1D) – Remix by Mikolo Mashups
They go to the beach after graduation, inviting the entire volleyball team to celebrate the end of the year as well as wishing the third-years goodbye.
Shouyou and Tobio are in charge of games and music, Tadashi and Kei in charge of food and drinks, and Hitoka covers all planning and decorating. The first- and second-years offer to pitch in with the prep but the five of them insist on doing this for the rest of the team.
They have a wonderful time by the sea, getting sunburnt under the sky, salt and sand lingering on their skin after playing in the water. They stay until well into the night, lighting up a bonfire at Shouyou’s request.
Portable speakers blast the best pop songs of the year, and they dance around the flames with laughter and smiles on their lips.
