so can I rant about the new Amphibia episodes because oh my god

spoilers under the cut

okay so first of all, weirded out that the Hulu thumbnail changed like twelve times (first the map Ivy and Maddie find in TNHT, then the Stone Guardian, then a Sashanne hug, and finally Anne’s birthday presents). not that big of a deal, but still. also weird that we,,, never actually saw the Stone Guardian or even REGULAR Domino in this episode?? like?? did I miss it or was it just Not There???

anyways onto the episode itself:

The Next Hardest Thing was like. SUCH a good way to start S4 I think. we got to see a bunch of characters that weren’t even in the finale (namely Percy and Braddock - I love them so much - also Gunther, that frog who’s basically the hulk - I’m ashamed to say I almost forgot about him lol), plus Sprivy being adorable, plus,,, please tell me I’m not the only one who detected the Sprivaddie crumbs and the aroace Polly subtext?? like?? Polly avoiding the romance section in the castle’s secret library? constantly making faces at Sprivy and Yulivia?? please please please let it be canon-

and then the map. god I’m too lazy to find a screenshot of it right now but WHAT WERE THOSE RUNES? THOSE WEREN’T FROG RUNESsadfjsldfk

(also one last thing - there was a Flipwart board down there in the library. plus it’s the same place Andrias and Marcy went into all the way back in S2. so... could that’ve been where she poured her heart out to him? just a fun lil thought)

OKAY. ONTO THE CHAOTIC BEAUTIFUL EPISODE THAT WAS “YES OR YES.” SASHANNARCY SHIPPERS, WE WERE FED ON THIS DAY.

I actually forgot to watch it the first time?? my brain died and I only saw TNHT and had to go back sdfjsldkj but I AM SO GLAD I DID. NEW FAVORITE EPISODE

we didn’t get a kiss but THAT SCENE!! and MARCY AND SASHA AND ANNE DANCING TOGETHER!!! SINGING KARAOKE!! sjflkjlks I’M SO HAPPY

it was great seeing all of the other earth characters too (not Domino though... did she die of old age? ;w; might write some angst about that later), though. kinda weird we didn’t see Terri really. fingers crossed for the portal theory to be canon guys-

OKAY. NOW THE PART I’M DYING OVER. LITERALLY COMBUSTING. LIKE. WHAT WAS THAT END SCENE??? YEAH MARCY WAS ACTING A LITTLE WEIRD IN THE EPISODE (the first thing that comes to mind is the weird reluctance in her voice when Anne says “It’s great to have you back Marce” and Marcy replies “yeah, it’s... nice to be back” with this weird expression and she avoids Anne’s eyes like kjsldfjlskdWHAT) BUT THEY PULLED A FREAKING SEASON THREE SNEAK PEEK ON US

just enjoying the episode and then there’s a black screen before the credits roll like. you barely have time to process it and then say “wait not agai-” before. WHY WAS MARCY LAUGHING LIKE THAT. god if Darcy’s coming back I’m going to rip someone’s eyes out

that’s like literally all I have to say I’m just going insane over the episode akjdskafsl if anyone wants to add smth go ahead

I QUIT. IM DONE. I will not survive may. the next two episodes of amphibia will be the end of me i assure you of that. its sunday and im still crying because i cant process that last goddamn episode. I’m not the theory type anyway but i will not say ANYTHING constructive about this episode because i cant. i cant deal with this.

the three armies was so good... tritonio and beatrix interacting is everything. and uh i didn’t expect anne to go full on super like she did in true colors so that caught me off guard but yeah!!! powers!!! wooooooo!!! also these two episodes just like. reinforced sasha and anne’s relationship as my favorite part of s3 cause oh my god they’re so good. I don’t normally include pictures when talking about episodes but i have taken 133 screenshots of this episode and i wont hesitate to use them

LOOK AT THEM!!! JUST LOOK! they’ve grown so much im so proud of them i cant even. im so happy we’re getting so many good sashanne hugs because these people did NOT know how to hug before s3. they’re just so soft now its going to kill me. just bury me.

and the way sasha looks at anne. its just UGHHHHHH.

goofy sashanne. whatever, i dont care. i dont care. i dont care. these idiots are my everything. madame generals whatever. just say girlfriends.

I’LL MAKE A SEPPARATE THING SERIOUSLY TALKING ABOUT THE BEGINNING OF THE END WHEN I CAN ACTUALLY THINK STRAIGHT. but this is just for the sashanne agenda.

“just look at what you and I have now” enough. stop it. i dont think any calamity trio ship is gonna be canon but what the fuck is wrong with these people ENOUGH. I dont need more you can STOP. and the “you’re right. of course you are” GAWD. i love how soft sasha’s voice is when she’s talking to anne. but aside from them sasha and anne’s feelings about marcy betraying them was so refreshing to see. also sasha 100% has a right to be mad but its funny seeing that after she was so adamant about second chances in olm town road.

AND I WAS RIGHT ABOUT THE DDR THING. hahaha so crazy!

also yulivia is back. woooo newt moms! absolutely showstopping. this was a great couples photoshoot for sasha and anne. they really looked so pretty during the whole thing its just insane.

BUT THIS EPISODE HAS JUST BEEN SO GOOD FOR THEM. this is seriously the cherry on top for their relationship even if you dont see it as romantic they’re just so close and intimate now and its just so sweet.

#amphibia spoilers #im sorry this whole thing is about sashanne but if i think about marcy i will fall apart #im already physically sick i dont need to go insane right now #its just so crazy how sashanne has been having so much fun leading the rebellion and doing silly little gay dance routines #and then BOOM your friend is possessed by an eldritch horror + your gonna get vivisected!#so funny #oh dont forget your world is gonna get conquered #and your frog family + your girlfriend got captured by said eldritch horror
